There isn't anything fun about Skull Merchant's power, even when using it in chase. There's no satisfaction, no feedback, nothing to feel at all. Put that on top of a character whose lore and design I can only describe as cringe-inducing and the character has nothing to offer me whatsoever.
I'd rather play Knight, much more fun to predict where survivors are going and drop guards on them, then have a merry little chase around the map with my bros.
-
I just hate his iri add-on that makes the bell silent. Takes all the fun out of the killer.
-
Next patch isn't going to change anything. People will play xenomorph for a week, realize he's not that good, then go back to their usual mains, or stop playing.

I love seeing all the complaints about MFT. It's funny that you complain about MFT but never talk about you getting bloodlust. I could understand if it was a 10/15% speed boost but it's 3%. You literally gain another 5% speed as a 115 after 15 seconds making you a 120 and it's only up another 10% from there once you're at BL3. The issue with a lot of killers complaining about MFT is they don't play survivor enough. If you learn to loop and have the survivor mindset you also learn to mindgame loops and catch them off.
Bloodlust was invented so that killers could catch up to survivors who run at base 100% speed, because there were ways to navigate the map that nullified the +15% speed advantage most killers have. Bloodlust also resets at breaking pallets (which are everywhere) or hitting survivors or losing chase for 5 seconds, so it's usually an extremely temporary buff that survivors can easily play around unless they're in a dead zone.
+3% speed for the low low cost of holding the run button whenever you want is not comparable.

Too few types of daily rituals, for too meager rewards.
-
Stealth is now considered toxic, apparently. Well, sorry for all those times I hid behind a tree because I'm not a god-tier looper who can hold the killer's attention for 30 minutes. I truly am the disease that is destroying Dead by Daylight.
To speak seriously and on-topic: as a compulsive chest-opener and totem-breaker, I'd love to have the downside of this niche perk removed so I can run it and do those things at the same time without unnecessary inconvenience.
-
Survivors are toxic enough with the two basic emotes they already have, no thanks.

I can't believe this is considered a hot take now. I really thought all the talks about "nerf lightborn" was just a joke all this time. 😭
Anything that gets in the way of my "LOOPING KILLER FOR 24 HOURS - MAKING BABY KILLERS CRY AND PROVING SURVIVOR IS COOLER AND BETTERER" compilations is unhealthy for the game and should be removed so that I can get more Youtube views.

Can you inform me on how he is unplayable on console? Singularity doesn't seem like a mechanically demanding killer, which is the reason why killers like Blight and Oni aren't as good on console.
To tag survivors with the biopods, you have to look at them in a circle in the center of the screen for a short time. But the camera controls with joysticks are absolutely terrible, and survivors are almost constantly moving, so tracking the camera on the survivor is trivial with the precision of a mouse but extremely clunky and frustrating with the clumsy swinging of a joystick camera. I go to nudge the stick to desperately follow a running survivor and it jumps six feet to the side of where they are.
-
Unplayable on console with how awfully those biopod cameras control. I thought End Transmission was great at first look and bought it when it came out but I really regret that purchase now, which is why I'm hesitating to buy the Alien chapter when it drops.
-
Can't de-pip in Ash Grades.
-
The chase shouldn't end from you entering camera mode.
Get in chase, shoot pod, control pod, tag survivor. Repeat four times. It's extremely inconvenient but I managed to do it after a couple of tries. It depends on the map too.

It's not healthy for the game, neither are the perks which increase gen speed, both points can co-exist.
When its used to shave time off chase it isn't being abused, it's the Hook camping situation that STBFL is problematic, killers defending it are just tonedeaf as per usual. It enables a lazy playstyle which is popular which is why so many people like it.
How do you abuse it with camping when getting enough stacks to camp requires chasing multiple survivors?

Yes. He is awful to play against. I refuse to look at the ground the entire game. He is one of the most unfun killers they have in this game to play versus... and it sounds like, to play as. They should change him.
Not being able to look down sounds like a skill issue.
-
These Singularity challenges are really highlighting how clunky and inefficient his power really is. Especially on console where getting the biopods to look at the survivors and NOT swing all over the place is a challenge in itself.
Seriously, teleport to survivors near EMP crates? Several times in one match? How likely is that to actually happen? Who designed these?
-
I'd like the names to be consistent, so either change her to Min Feng or change the Japanese and Korean survivors to the proper name order.
-
They recently did change it so that Cheryl also has the Silent Hill theme when she's selected. Don't know if it's the same for the legendary skins, I don't own any.
It's just a reuse of Pyramid Head's menu theme, though.
-
If that's how your games are going then the anti-camp mechanic will probably result in even more DCs.

Why do people complain about Coldwind being set during the day but not Ormond?
I don't like daytime Ormond either. I wish Coldwind and Ormond were set at dusk hours like Dead Dawg is, at least.
-
I think he'll be C-tier but still really fun, which fits most killers I play as. Using his tail with controller will be hell, though, especially with its more precise hitbox than Nemesis's.
-
All I need is Ripley's Alien and Aliens appearances.
-
I find him incredibly boring. He chainsaws at you until you either drop a pallet or he hits you. That's it. I have absolutely no fun against Leatherface, and I have no fun playing as him either. I can find more excitement in a Skull Merchant match.
-
Rewarding good behavior is just as important as punishing bad behavior. If BHVR implemented anything to make it more worthwhile to NOT be terrible to each other, the game's community would improve, at least a little bit.
-
Entitlement is a hell of a drug.
-
BHVR says a lot of things. Especially about maps.
-
It's hard for me to feel enthusiastic about new content when it is being chucked into the same boring and frustrating meta that DbD has degraded into. I love Alien, Xenomorph and Ripley look really cool and I want to play as them, but then I have to remind myself that it's new characters in the same ol' game.

They basically said that it would take time to even put it in a PTB, but yeah, I doubt it would go any further than it because any time that they tried to implement an anti camping mechanic survivors abused the hell out of it so they just dismissed it at the end.
The only way it would work if the self unhook meter totally stops the moment another survivor is near the hook, and even then I'm sure survivors would find a way to abuse it and make the save guaranteed. Let's hope I'm wrong.
BHVR said the timer would be slowed if survivors were near, but not stop. So it will definitely be abused.

Buff Thanatophobia again.

There was the Unhook yourself build that I was doing with a bunch of friends before I left. It required luck offerings and using perks like Slippery meat and Up the ante if I recall. It surprisingly was doable and we had everyone unhooked theirselves plenty of times and it was funny af.
Not sure if this game changed anything if that build is still effective or not.
That's still doable.

I think the exit gate, when let go, should reset its progress to the last point that corresponds to the lights glowing on top of it. I made a suggestion about this months ago that there should be thresholds to the switch.
1 light = 25%
2 lights = 50%
3 lights = 75%
And then it opens at 100%, obviously. Letting go of the switch would immediately reset it to these thresholds, so trying to 99 the gate would instead reset it to 75%.
99ing the gates is definitely annoying when misused, and has also been used to grief. I once had a match where my last surviving teammate stood in front of the 99'd switch and refused to open it until the killer caught up to us and downed me, then immediately popped it open and escaped, leaving me to die for no reason other than their amusement.
-
I managed to do it, but the game only indicated I'd completed the challenge when someone else healed me. I think it's buggy.
-
I wish luck affected looting chests too.
-
Buff Septic Touch so it actually has a use.

It’s hilarious that resilience has been in the game for 7 years and now is when people want to complain about it
Yeah, because now is when MFT exists, along with half a dozen other Endurance perks. Resilience didn't change, but the game around it did.

Circle and medkits were nerfed because killers were complaining about survivors being healthy all the time.
Now killers are complaining about survivors being injured.
At this point, it really just feels like the real complaints are that survivors don't start the trial slugged or already on hooks.
"OTHER SIDE BAD"
Great insight.
-
I wouldn't mind the miserable survivor matches so much if it wasn't for the awful queue times that make getting into a game take so long only for me to have a bad time and get booted back to the long queue to wait for another match that will also be a bad time that boots me back to the long queue to wait for...
But I still have good matches once in a while.
-
I never played the old looks of the maps but I think Ormond should be dark again.
-
Medkits were nerfed to make injuries apply more pressure to survivors. Then survivors were given all the perks they need to nullify that pressure while being injured. Nothing was solved, in fact things have arguably worsened.
-
There are a lot of things I hate about it, but I think an underhated aspect is those stupid bushes. Clunky collision, exactly tall enough to block line of sight, and they're everywhere.
-
I really don't like Resilience buffing vault speed, I'm all for removing that.
Also agreed on reducing MFT to 2%. I think I would keep the Endurance effect but limit it to 5 seconds.
Buckle Up + For the People is awful, Buckle Up should have a minimum heal time before it's capable of activating, let's say 3 seconds.
Definitely agreed on putting a cooldown on Windows of Opportunity.

So you just wanna kill the perk.
I am glad you are not in dev team because i don't wanna play your game for sure.
I don't want to play yours either.
-
Hangman's Trick should be like Forced Hesitation: if a survivor sabotages a hook within X distance of you, they're afflicted with Hindered for X seconds.
-
I wish his traps would spawn into the map pre-armed. It'd be a tiny buff but it would make him feel better, at least a little bit.
-
4-man teams all gen-rushing with Adrenaline / Resilience / Hope / Made For This creates one of the most miserable killer experiences this game has to offer. Adrenaline ruins killer in endgame, and considering it's endgame the killer is probably already having a bad time.
The delayed heal effect is absolutely too much and needs to be ripped out. I'd remove the heal entirely, except for downed survivors. Also remove the interaction with Freddy's power because that's nonsense.
-
I think it's poor design that the bonus BP is awarded only to the survivors who finished the generators, instead of being given to the whole survivor team.
-
I personally dislike the smoke effect on Clown's HUD and would prefer they just made the icon itself yellow or purple to indicate which bottle you're throwing.
-
Undetectable means no aura-reading. No exceptions.

Best: Adam, Jeff, Zarina, Gabriel, Yun-Jin
Worst: Feng, Nea, Nancy and Steve, Jonah, Mikaela

There is a reason I stopped playing nice as Killer; you get mocked and stomped on by the sweat lord SWF you are probably up against.
Going against four players means receiving four times the abuse. At least as survivor you only get one killer being a jerk to you.

My favorite solution would be a general perk called "Just Leave!" - lingering inside the exit area for longer then 10s will shut Blood Warden the exit gate and expose the survivor, till they move 36m away from the exit gates.
I would equip this perk on the first slot of every killer and never take it off ever again.
I really do wish, seriously, that we had a perk that punished survivors for idling in the exit gates. Even if no one ever used it, just the possibility of it being in play should be enough to spook survivors into leaving the game and stop wasting people's time. Ideally, anyway.
