The fact the Skull Merchant doesn't wear a skull mask has always been wasted potential.
-
Take the L.
-
2,400. I'm always spending them on characters, and occasionally the cheaper cosmetics for the characters I like the most. I look forward to unlocking all characters someday so I can buy outfits of green or higher cost, but I still have about 10 more characters to go.
-
Singularity is the scariest killer since Dredge, who was the scariest killer since... ever.
-
Obnoxious layouts, boring aesthetics, bad visibility, based on a modern movie remake no one cares about anymore.
-
It's to make it very obvious that you're in Deep Wound so that you don't forget to mend and bleed out.
-
Was this on Rotten Fields? Because that map is just horrible for many killers, Deathslinger included. It should be in the rework queue next to Cowshed but for some reason, it isn't.
-
My only problem with the anti-camping mechanic is that it will work through floors, so a killer is punished for patrolling a different floor above/below the hook. But conversely, other survivors being nearby should also slow the timer through floors, which is a whole 'nother problem in itself.
-
Knight isn't even that bad.

Speaking of stackable bonus offerings, why killers don't have the Bound Envelope? Seems like a "f you, got mine" situation.
I wish they would buff this bonus to +50% BP for the survivors to make it deserving of being a green item.
-
Party Streamers always seems to curse the match when I use them. I get an awful killer to deal with as survivor, or I get a SWF squad as killer. I've started to hate the item.

I always questioned why they made a comic on the most hated killer in the game.
Nah I hate Trickster and Skull Merchant more.

Lots of people, myself included, agree. But it's not acknowledged at all.

An important skill to learn is picking and choosing your battles. If you can quickly identify who's worth chasing when and where, it helps.

bro if you are losing to a scratch/vanity mirror myers than its a skill issue. everyone loves jumpscare myers, its just an objective fact. Oh nooo, the killer has no power and is moving at 105% speed. but they can find me easier? pls remove.
I don't love him. I find him super annoying because they only do it on indoor maps and they always hook-camp.
-
Same happened to me. Survivor using hacks to infinitely blind me and fly around the map.
-
Bots are a bandage on problematic players, not an endorsement of them. This is mitigating the damage DCing players cause, it doesn't mean DCing is suddenly okay.
-
I haven't seen an AFK killer in weeks, if not months. I'm sorry to hear that this is a serious problem for you, and for Japanese servers in general if earlier posts in this thread are true. That's a strange problem to have, but a serious one. As suggested earlier, a VPN might help you play on servers that have actual players.
AFKing is a reportable offense as well. Hopefully when they update the report system to offer player feedback, it will feel more meaningful to report these problem players.
-
Love Dredge. Best original killer they've made. Next, Singularity is gonna be his metal/meat bro. They're the anniversary horror boys! BFFs!
-
"Griefing teammates and working with the killer"
That's not slugging.

you’re lucky I can’t post what my email from the actual bhvr representative because I reported a killer for slugging and it was considered holding the game hostage . And they took firm action against them ,
because the player sent me a Ss of them being temporarily off of dbd for 3 days so keep slugging every time I see a killer ima stay and save clip and ima crawl in front of hooks and doing everything that deems game hostage just so I can report .
since it won’t be fixed sooner than now me and my friends will continue to save clip and report .
I think you're just lying.

I’m just confused here , so you mean to tell me that we are supposed to “ oh wait you guys we can’t do a generator yet until the killer gets at least one or two hooks in “
Your job is To hook the survivor just like it shows in the advertisement, the objective is to Hook . Not slug because you’re upset we are getting generators done before you get a hook in . That’s not the survivors fault , that we get away or don’t miss skill checks we are just doing “simply our job “ .
Why can’t we have a base kit unbreakable for 7 years?
See how many players come back to the game. See how many players continue to play. It’s just not fun when the killer has that much power .
also I honestly just believe when you people come down to slugging is because it’s just simply being a sore loser . You can’t accept the fact either
A.) You were outplayed ( People out ran you , got down )etc
B.) You just wanna win and can’t accept the fact you lost
C.) All of the above
If your entire team is downed, you're the one who lost, not the killer.
-
Yes it is holding the game hostage
It's not. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's against the rules.
-
It currently the killer “meta” is to slug survivors whenever the killer pleases.
No it's not. Sure, they can do it, but that doesn't mean it's effective, which is why many killers don't do it.
-
Instead of hooking that survivor you knocked down you let them bleed out ? That’s holding the game hostage
It is, factually, not holding the game hostage because eventually you bleed out and the game ends.

Maybe you don't have any reason to do so, but I met so many Jake wearing that Valentine pyjama daily.
I think that's just people wanting to see Jake in pajamas.

Once again putting words in others mouth , she stated when three gens are done before the killer gets a hook in that’s when the killer decides to get mad and slug … what part do you people not understand that’s all she said ! And someone having boil over still does not justify slugging and leaving to bleed out and neither does getting gens done fast because the killer can’t get a hook . And you guys say survivors are entitled ?? Slugging is basically throwing a tantrum so because we got gens done before you have a hook that means let us all bleed out ?? Or because someone has boil over that means slug everyone ? And when we say slugging we mean the part where they let us bleed out and don’t bother hooking . That’s the part you fail to realize and you trying repeat what she says and make it seem like it’s just hard to do gens and not mess up and y’all say y’all hate gen rushing but that’s what was given to us . The difference is you have Perks to counter gen rushing we have 0 perks to counter slugging how many times do survivors have to explain this
Are you the OP's alt account? You type EXACTLY like them.
-
"I'm only being slugged because I'm TOO GOOD at the game."
Yeah, sure.
If your entire team is knocked down and slugged on the ground, then no, you're not too good at the game.

I wonder what's the hold-up with Yoichi.
Also, is it me or did the "super popular" NYE Bunny Feng outfit never showed up in he game after its collection was pulled out of the store? Seems that the FOMO tactic to ensure people will buy the set didn't work as planned...
I really didn't like that Feng outfit anyway so I'm glad to not see it anymore. Also holiday-themed cosmetics become a lot less popular to wear outside of that particular holiday season. It's why I don't like holiday outfits, because why would I wear Valentine's cosmetics in August?

I enjoy playing Doctor but his chase music really grates on me after a few matches.

Tinkerer works for every gen. Machine Learning works once per match.
Don't get me wrong, the effect is good but the fact that it only works once and then deactivates is a huge downside. Unlike Lethal Pursuer it has no further effect and it isn't as valuable (at least for me) to get a considerable easier hit one time. Because it won't do much more than that.

Are you sure about that? The perk description doesn't say it only works once per match. I was under the impression it can work multiple times so long as you keep kicking generators and those generators are completed.

The new killer has a perk that gives 7% haste just for kicking a gen. An extra 3% is easily countered by that.
7% Haste for kicking a generator and then survivors completing that generator.

I think that core gameplay elements like gens, palletes and vaults should look the same in every map, but should look good and fit all of them at the same time.
That would be ideal, but hard to accomplish. I consider vaults to be more of a part of the map design than generators and pallets so I think it's more important for them to look like they fit.
Even recoloring the tape to look more like a natural part of the environment would be fine. Better than just copy-pasting the same thing again.
-
I agree, that would be a much more fitting animation for the character. Just crush through it instead of smashing it.
-
@DGGGGGG said:
The same argument can be made for pallets then. Still, no. I'd like to know clearly which locations I can vault and which locations have a pallet.
I could make that argument, but I have a thing called "priorities" and I put this above pallets when it comes to art design criticisms.
I did not say "make vaults hard to see", I said "make vaults look distinct in ways that aren't copy-pasting the same asset onto every map".

If you can't 4k on every single map with every single Killer, I really don't see why that's the dev's fault and not a simple example of skill issue.

I had my own screenshot showcasing exactly this, but yours is much better.
I hate the Borgo. I hate the red aesthetic that makes scratchmarks hard to see. I hate the dozens of little fiddly things everywhere that I constantly get stuck on. And I hate the million pallets that connect into each other every dang tile. I think I hate it more than The Game in regards to pallets, at least The Game isn't painful to look at.
Still not sure if I hate it more than Garden of Joy.
-
I would rather nerf the things that enable genrush strategies instead of buff killers to compensate for genrush strategies.

So do you have a better reason than your personal opinion "it's not fun"? If we were going to remove everything anyone considered unfun, every single thing in the entire game would be removed.
I have another reason: I think these add-ons also suck and it would be better to replace them with add-ons that do things that are more enjoyable for killer players to use. If you have a reason for why a "mending takes 2 seconds longer" add-on is fun and satisfying for you to use, I will gladly hear it.
"It's not fun" motivates the vast majority of all feedback on this forum.

I'm optimistic about finally breaching into the genre of sci-fi horror and End Transmission looks like a strong start. The Singularity looks great, I like the design a lot, I hope their power is good -- though so far it sounds like a strange mishmash of Plague and Demogorgon. I need to learn more about how its power works before I can make any judgments on how well they play.
The new survivor also looks cool. I think the glowy gadget on Gabriel's chest is goofy but I can look past that. If he has good perks I'll gladly pick him up.
The map looks great, but I'm very concerned about its playability. BHVR has been emphasizing map aesthetics over map fun for the past year or two. Looks great but plays like ass. Hopefully this will be an exception because a hostile alien jungle sounds really cool to me.
All in all this chapter feels like everything Tools of Torment should have been. I'm even excited over the Tome it will receive because I'm hoping it will give us a lot of sci-fi themed cosmetics for other characters.
-
Yesterday I was stunned by a flashbang despite looking all the way up. Latency might be the problem.
-
I don't mind Haddie much, but I'm not a fan of her aesthetic. I don't think she looks ugly but I think the "hair turned white from stress" detail is corny and her default clothing is tacky, and most of her cosmetic options are even worse. Her new outfit with the mountain gear looks much better, though. Too bad I can't afford pricey cosmetics.
I like her more than Feng and Mikaela, at least.
-
Of all the frustrating things in this game, few are more frustrating than losing track of a survivor or missing a skillcheck because of framedrops.
-
I feel like male survivors don't get enough normal clothing options. Their new outfits always seem more gimmicky and cartoonish than what the female survivors get.

Why is mending particularly a problem and healing modifiers and gen regression isn't? Personally i find all of them boring, but it's core to the game balance unfortunately.
This thread isn't about the other things in the game that annoy you, don't come in here trying to derail it.

I disagree. Most killer that are in the mindset that they are going lose will start tunneling and camping right from the start the game. The meta perks are often used along side the meta strategies of the game. A killer that runs Deadlock+Pain res+Jolt can camp, tunnel and slug right from get go while using those perks. You can reap double benefits by using the perks and applying the winning formula.
Most killer that are in the mindset that they are going lose will start tunneling and camping right from the start the game.
Most killers start matches thinking "I'm going to lose"?

Personally not a fan of portraying a MI that is already wrongfully depicted as dangerous as killers, and I can't imagine BHVR would risk facing the backlash for doing it.
However I absolutely agree on both the "humanoid killers are great" & "we need more links between killers & survivors" fronts. The only ones we have (off the top of my head) are Legion & Jeff and Trickster & YunJin, but I really hope we'd get twins or siblings but one of them is a killer and the other a survivor, or have an alternate version of the same person in different roles, considering multiverse is canon. There's a bunch of killers who's lore you read an think "why are they a killer?" (Hag, Spirit, Artist), and I think it'd be neat to introduce the survivor version of them (or a whole new chapter), with the lore being the same at the begining before diverging at a key point so we can see the same person become a killer / survivor.

I'm the opposite, I think trying to tie the killer and survivor's lore together in the chapters is going to get old, and sometimes results in clunky and unnecessary writing. Knight and Vittorio was fine, I guess, but Thalita and Renato encountering the Skull Merchant adds nothing to the story, it's just conveniently shoving them all into The Fog at the same time. And I still don't understand why Haddie's items are used as The Dredge's add-ons.

Pallet saves are fine, there are more important things to worry about right now.

Make your choice is another one that is pretty bs too, unhooking a survivor(a survivor objective) is punished for doing what they are ment to do, wraiths/dredges/sadakos are the 3 notorious killers that loves using this perk. Heck they add hubris, a perk that expose you for hitting the killer with a pallet. Perks made for a survivor doing their jobs is very much stupid but ah well we already know since 6.1 and now that the game will be more and more killer sided and hence will increase swfs (that people complain about all the time)
We're complaining about Sadako and Hubris now?
