  • Wait let me edit it so it has all the killers;

  • The shoctor (doc)

    B&c, distressing,ruin,pop or unnerving

    I won 200000bps in a game that's hilarious

  • I believe when a person dcs automatically all survivors and the killer shouldn't lose their rank. Only bad thing is that they can just hook suicide

  • I believe you are a console player because on PC it's really fun. Once you get an understanding of the whole situation then you can start to climb. Imo lol is a nightmare to start on your own. So imo lol is worst

  • Oni is so fun to play.....on PC. That's the bad thing. Oni is fun only on PC. In console he sucks ass, unplayable

  • Interesting. Very very interesting. So you mean the broken status effect can pass from one survivor to another. I find it a great idea and balanced,if you cleanse the totem good job,the obsession won't be broken for all the game, but you will pay for it. Even if it doesn't get many upvotes,I would like to see more of your perks, along with the hex obsession idea that blew my mind

For me it's pretty good job so far. Keep on the good work!

  • First of all, doctor is getting a rework that will harshly change his playstile. Not a buff, not a Nerf, just a change. I was thinking the same 2 killers but I bought the doctor because he has a better laugh

  • Isn't sirens an ancient Greek mythology creature? If I remember correctly they lure men with their songs and drown them. Odysseus met them, and almost got drown by them in the Odyssey if I remember correctly. Interesting

  • If you are on console then most of the games are either way swf. If on PC,I dunno I find only solos

  • BTW those who complain, still play the game for an imaginary reason, because it's fun. They just LOVE complaining. Lemme know if u wanna queue up with me.

  • If you want a duo,I'm here to help. I highly suggest the game. Tho itt depends if you're on PC or console, and what role you wanna main. Personally I'm a killer main and I found the game a bit frustrating the first 4 games I played, then it became so much enjoyable. As survivor, you will have a hard time learning to loop and skillchecks are a mess. But in a few days, you will have a great time

  • Although I can say, there are some things that need a small rework, like luck, keys, moris and imo totems. Tho if they don't change anything I wouldn't mind. Since survivors have ds,killers have noed and since survivors have keys, killers have moris :D

  • You have a point,but no.

Yes,there are player that do that, but in higher ranks people either do gens, get chased or the "scaredy cats" look for a key in chests. If they fail, then they either work on a gen till their spine chill is active, then urban away or they camp the exit gates, with a hope of the other survivor to finish the last ten. Honestly,I am a "scaredy" cat. If I found the hatch,I'll search the closest box in hopes of getting a key, otherwise I work on gens and probably get into a Chase and die XD

  • We should ban all the survivors from the multiverse because they are op xd

  • For me, a win is to have ranked up from the game and get bloodpoints. Nothing more, nothing less

Don't worry, Scorpio is about to stroke out from how furious s/he is typing. You would not be believed to be a killer main unless you are killer-sided in all your opinions. Not many in this forum can fathom that one survivor's or killer's experience can differ from their own. The moment that person comes forward they are denounced as having a lot of hours in the game, knowing what they are talking about, or being part of the illustrious side for which the other person is arguing about.

Also I believe that the fact that I support something that is balanced, and survivor sided, makes me less of a killer main in the eyes of the community. If I want to complain,I'll complain about imbalance, not something that would only help the 50% of this game's players -_-

Either you know English really well,or I'm just bad at communicating xd

  • Yes YOU are the killer do what you want. No self made honor codes,no rules you must follow, your objective is to KILL THEM ALL.

My favorite survivor annoying build is bloodwarden, noed, remember me,ruin with a Mori

    Make them suffer

  • Egc,blood warden, noed. If you wanna be altruistic then you 99 gates until you are certain that everyone is good and then you pop it and leave

What the HELL is wrong with you randoms? I've had 4 games in a row now when I've been constantly being chased and they're all hiding.

Do a goddamn gen for god sake!!!

Why is everyone wanting to hide nowadays? Just do a gen whilst someone is constantly being chased.

My most recent game started off with me doing a single gen through Ruin against Oni. Me and the random Steve were constantly being chased and taking pressure off the others to the point where Steve died on his first hook because I was busy being chased and the other two hiding. I then go down to see both of the randoms hiding. I get saved by a Nea and then she Urban evades away. The Oni is now back on me, I go down again to see them STILL HIDING. Because nothing was gonna get done I let go during Struggle to then spectate and see that they both went down straight away to his Blood Fury.

Is anyone else having similar circumstances? I can't be the only one right?

Happens to me a lot the few times I solo queue as a survivor. Of course I'm the only one doing gens, being emersed so we can at least have a chance of escaping. The 3 randoms either A they are so emersed that the only productive thing they do is cleansing totems or they get chased and die in a matter of seconds. In some occasions if they are found/down first they DC. Honestly ( it could be because of my doctor addiction that I have lately ) but I find playing killer more relaxing than playing as a survivor since, most of the time if I die then we all die since nobody is doing a gen.

Lately I run maps and toolboxes in order to have a chance, tho these problems could exist because I'm only rank 13 as a survivor XD

    I really don't know dude,that's my opinion

I wish they brought the "matchmaking glitch" back, where it would show you the rank of the other survivors. I understand they might've taken it away to avoid lobby skipping and because let's face it, their matchmaking is not the best. But it would be so helpful to know who we are playing with, either to know not to rely on them as much or to try to help them or have somewhat of a knowledge on how they are most likely to react/play.

I was playing as rank 2 survivor and didn't get saved and my teammates were doing basically nothing, turns out they were rank 20.... the killer was red rank.

    Top tier matchmaking y'all.

    A quote about why they removed it;

"When people see that the other survivor's ranks are lower than theirs, they Dodge making our matchmaking worst. That's one of the main reasons it got removed"

This is from the dbd channel on YouTube, the q&a about one weak ago

I love when people use the terms "apply pressure" or "map pressure" as if they mean anything or make sense. There is one killer and 4 survivors. The killer can chase only one survivor at a time. The chases can take a hell of a long time, so the killer has to decide between following through on the chase, or dropping it and chasing someone else. The killer cannot pressure every gen, all the time, and also chase and hit and down and hook survivors. They are one single person who can only be in one place at a time. In the time it takes the killer from the start of the match to find a survivor, chase them, hit them, chase again, hit them again to down them and finally hook them, the 3 other survivors could be finishing one gen each, so the killer can get their first hook and then have 3 gens pop right after. That is not good or fair. That is not a problem with the killer "not applying pressure." That is a problem with the game where gens go way too fast, and there is no other objective for survivors to do so the game is more than half over already and the killer has gotten one hook. It's ridiculous.

Gen pressure does exist,it is just difficult to fulfil imo. For example,I usually pressure the survivors to do gens that are closer to the gates and I make sure to keep 3 gens healthy that are close to each other. After I finish a Chase,or if i see someone going to the direction of my 3 gens that are being pressured,I immediately go there . I can't say how many games I won because of 3 gen situations. Tho I can say that the survivors acted stupid because of their stress, that's why I completely dominated them and got a 4k (for example they tried to lured me out of my 3 gens and didn't work as planned :3)

Also something that isn't common on the dbd community I don't really enjoy complaining when I don't have accurate information. In this post I have a typo, didn't add the word "imo" I believe that's why everyone is going crazy to prove me I'm wrong.

And honestly I could be wrong. The game could be unbalanced and I could be the only one that sees the game as balanced because games work in my favor most of the times. I don't know,I just wrote my opinion.

That's also the reason that in my every forum I always ask the community's opinion because I could be mistaken, but in this case, you can't value my information as incorrect since,it has some valuable and true points.

Thanks for commenting btw really appreciate it

Um no, people don't believe you're a killer main because you talk like someone who has never played killer lol. And if you only play at low ranks then you cannot have an informed opinion on gen rushes because you don't see them at low ranks.

    First of all,rude

Second I have reached red ranks playing only doctor and imo it's not that hard to go to red ranks as killer. It didn't take me long to go there.

Third, perks exist for a reason. Every perk exists because it was design to help the player with something (all the perks I mentioned were meant to slow the game down, bamboozle was created to help the killer with chases same with spirit fury,ECT)

I don't know if I sound as a survivor main or a level 20 killer with no experience but this is my honest opinion. I had games that ended up on 3 minutes because i didn't run ruin (also swf and I was underleveled) and I had games that I dominated so much that they couldn't even finish the first gen.

Today for example (let me note I'm in purple ranks this season) I had 3 games were the survivors barely finished the first 3 generators. It really comes down on how you can pressure them, your perks, the killer ability and your opponent's stupidity and lack of skill imo. Believe me or not, that's the truth.

  • @LordTohes said:

It is very doubtful that a main killer says that there is no genrush, the best survivors say that the genrush exists and it is very unlikely that you are a main killer and say that genrush can be avoided 🤔

People don't believe I'm a killer main because I go against the norm. The norm is; killers complain about survivor's ######### (keys, generators,ds,dead hard, etc) and survivors complain about killer's ######### (Mori, noed, spirit, nurse, etc)

If you see my previous posts,I'm not to the killer's side neither the survivor's. I'm just saying my opinion without being affected by my favorite role xd

  • I'm a killer main, but I sometimes play solo survivor too. I can see their frustration when they can't catch me or when I escape via the hatch and honestly I feel their pain.

Tho the frustration most of the times don't excuse their actions,I can see why they are toxic. If you get 11 games in a row with toxic swf and then one game the survivors don't have synergy then it is worth celebrating in my book. They do that because they are tired of the toxicness imo, nothing more

This game is about objectives and interacting between killers and surv not about speed to end game. If killer get 4k fast it means depip and almost no bloodpoints. Same for survivors. My opinion is that games should last longer so adding some new objectives should solve problems with gen rushing and ridiculous game speed. I like idea that I have read here on forum to add objective of refueling the generators before you can repair. Survivors will see auras of canisters with fuel on map. Canisters should have capacity for refueling 1 full generator. After gen is fueled all survivors will see its aura. Only one canister can be used to refueling gen at once so there wouldnt be long refuel time - around 15-20s is enough to refuel one gen. Canister will be additional item so medkits/toolsboxes/keys/maps/fleshlights will stay on survivor hand/backpack so there is no need to "drop" it before using canister. Rest part of game is same.

This idea will solve crazy gen speeds early coz you need first take canister and one person at once can refuel one gen so there will be no 3 survivors working on same gen in first minutes (no generators done in first 1 minute) so other survivors can focus on refueling other generators, finding totems or lure killer. Other benefit it that SFW groups will have to split early to refuel generators and not going in group of 3 for one gen - sure, they can go to one gen, 1 will be refueling gen and others wait but this will waste their time. At the same time it will prolong game times and there will be more interaction between killer and survivors which means better bloodpoints and pip/depip results. Keys and Moris can be deleted from game to prevent finishing game early.

Interesting,so you suggest a double item mechanic, the survivor will carry the fuel on their backs and can hold one more item at their hand. I imagine that this should have an active key in order to change between the two items (like Ctrl). Indeed interesting.

Tho one objection, the refueling should work as an interaction that when it's stopped,it doesn't reset. Meaning that it will work more like healing/repairing gens than cleansing a totem. Also there should be imo 7 active refuel canister instead of one,and they should all spawn at the same time instead of making them appear one at a time, without the aura reading ability. Maps can track the canisters.

It sounds more like a new killer passive power idea but I like it xd

  • @Nameless said:

Having a 2nd (engaging) objective would solve all the issues in my opinion. If survivors just want to hold m1 and get out of there asap, there really isn't much you can do as a killer. Like "Just pressure gens" really is a myth. You can't pressure all 4 survivors at once which is why gameplay like tunneling occurs. Pressuring gens when there's 3 survivors remaining rather than 4 is a lot more bearable.

However, there is no denying that holding m1 isn't quite the exciting gameplay players are looking for. Making a 2nd objective in such a way that it is engaging and that it still doesn't require too much from the survivors so that it doesn't stall the game too much would solve this issue and a bonus is that it would be refreshing new gameplay.

True, but instead of a secondary objective I would add one more step in order to open the exit gates like, for example, before you open the exit gates you must find one of the 2/3/4 machines that fully restore the map's power, making it able to open a gate

I dont know which rank you are playing at but from 15+ ranks my hexes last up to 2 min max in better case. Thanato has very low numbers and needs to have injured at least 3 survivors to be barely noticeable. Dying light need too at least 3 survivors hooked to be noticeable. Both perks have no effect early. Only perk that helps early slow down is ruin and this is nowadays only wasting of perk slot and Im avoiding using it. Killers are forced to waste almost all perk slots with weak slow down perks coz gen speed is ridiculous and prevent 3 gens pop up in first 2 -3 minutes. Killers cannot experiment with other perks build coz "gen rush meta" is forcing them play same and same slow down perks to have even chance to get some kills. Survivors are crying about NOED but this perk is MUST HAVE in these times of gen rushing to achieve at least 1-2K same as hex: ruin a PGTW. All other slow down perks are weak with low numbers and makes now difference in gen speed.

Now,I am at purple ranks (I have reached red ranks but this season I got unlucky ;-;) that's why I always run my no gens doctor builds,it slows the game down a lot imo.

If I see that my strategy isn't working,I'll change to Freddy/legion/plague with their own respectable forever builds that slow the game down moderately. I can't necessarily prove/say you are wrong so I ask you this; what is your idea of making gens harder/slower to complete without hurting the low ranks?

If you have an idea that will only affect the 15-1 ranks only without hurting the lower ranks then I'm all ears (a little dbd pun xd)

My suggestion is smaller maps and better totem spots

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/116575/totems-rework

What does the killer get for having the substantial weaker totems? You can't balance around lore you have to balance around the game design. Everything has a push and pull to it for both sides. I will take that you're a killer main at face value as whether you are or not doesn't matter. The issue I have with this suggestion is that from a gameplay stand point it trivializes totems across the board. Hex totems instantly become less effective and trap totems like Hex: Haunted Ground skyrocket in viability, but with such a limited usage that the benefit is neutralized.

Totems also provide a mind game of sorts where as a killer you survivors to be suspicious of NOED even if you don't have it. Cleansing totems wastes a few precious seconds that give you an edge on survivors. Having totems affect the doors is not a great idea. Very little should affect doors especially now that the killer can just open the door themselves. there is no real reason to throw your game away when wakeup still works on doors. Though usage of wakeup is rare.

Luck only affects chance of kobe and even with maximum luck attainable in game you still almost never kobe. I don't see how Totems being involved would make a system like that any better.

I just believe that totems could be something more. There is so much room for creativity for the totems and I believe that there should be something more to these cool additions. Tho I cannot say I disagree with you,I just say that there should be a suggestion,an idea to make totems kinda better. For example more totem perks would be neat

I find it really hard to believe a killer main came up with that idea for a totem rework, but okay. I'll choose to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Whatever the case, they should, under no circumstances, be buffed in any way other than in the killers favor. They belong to the killer. Survivors only reward for destroying them should be bloodpoints, boldness and knowing they may have prevented something.

Thanks for, I mean, kinda believing I'm a killer main but ok xd.

I just thought that destroying/protecting totems isn't worth doing, unless there are hex totems.

I thought of making totems work as bad luck for survivors and cleansing them would cause them to have good luck (more skillchecks, less crows, more possible to found the hatch) and when they are not to have debuffs (more crows, less skillchecks (situational if you want more/less skillchecks tbh),hatch spawning on the killers side of the map, faster skillchecks, etc) I just thought people would complain that it is too op :)

  • @The_Second_Coming said:

Your heart is in the right place, but clearly you've only though about this "rework" from a survivor POV. They in no way need to be adjusted in the survivors favor. They don't need to be shorter per totem. They take like 10 seconds, and it's an easy 1000bp and boldness; and they are already piss easy to find. If anything, they should be made more difficult, and maybe necessary to cleanse.

The real changes that should be done are things that make them actually hard to find. Like, not just sitting out there in the opened, ever. Add skillchecks to the cleansing as well. They should be buffed in favor of killers.

I am a killer main and I thought of this from a lore perspective. The totems were made (as far as we know) from the entity. So destroying it should give a benefit to the survivor.

It takes 14 seconds to cleanse btw. So I thought either A. fully rework both luck and totems or B. add more perks from both killer and survivor that affect totems. I just think they are a cool addition, but a useless one

I think that the survivors would not have to be able to repair engines with empty hands, it seems to me that it would be good to implement a new item in the game that could be a wrench, a screwdriver, or some type of tool needed to repair an engine, the new one item could have a relatively small durability to repair approximately 20% - 25% of the engine and that the toolbox can improve the item so that it has more durability or is more efficient. That way the survivors would have something more to do than just M1 in front of an engine and at the time that their tool breaks they would have to leave the engine to go find a new one to continue repairing. The tool could be found by opening a different type of chest (which requires the same amount of time to open, or a little less) and does not need skill check. I think that way the gen rush would be avoided a lot and it would give the survivors more to do, since the ruin is a perk that forces the killer to use it and at the same time it can be destroyed in less than a minute, causing the killer to waste a place for another skill. 🙂

If this happened then, unintentionally would nerf the high rank survivors and completely destroy new players. Imo would make the game more complicated. I can see your reasoning behind this but logically speaking, just like how you can heal other people without carrying bandages, you can repair a generator with bare hands. I just believe that the game isn't ready for this addition

Lol that's why her kill rate was the lowest always..be cause there were never counters to her correct?

    Indeed,she had little to no counterplay. 3 counters I can think of before the change are;

    Stealth

    Jukes

    Break line of sight

Tho stealth gets countered by a lot of aura revealing killer perks

A good nurse could predict jukes easily

It was difficult to break line of sight

A lot of your perk analysis as to what constitutes viable slowdown strongly suggests a lack of experience using those perks. In my opinion

I read your arguments and "reasoning"; that's how I came to my previous conclusion. If serious you're either heavily biased towards survivor or fairly new to killer. A lot of your perk analysis as to what constitutes viable slowdown strongly suggests a lack of experience using those perks. In my opinion

Both incorrect,I'm just open minded. Think about it. Let's say you nerf the Gen speeds,or add more gen penalties when 2+ people work on a gen,how will this affect the other ranks? You want to balance the high ranks,by nerfing all the ranks. I am a killer main, but I still play survivor sometimes as a solo and, most of the times in solos I'm the one doing all the gens.

So no,I'm not a survivor main and I don't lack experience. I'm just positive and open minded, if someone believes I'm wrong,I respect that or just point my opinion and move on with my life.

If you disagree and still continue to say I'm a survivor rank 1 main that likes to annoy killers, then I suggest you to be open minded and a bit more positive too :)

I think the problem with most slow down perks is they require the killer to have accomplished something. Outside of corrupt intervention and ruin, (maybe discordance) there are no perks to help the killer in the beginning of the game when most killers need the help the most.

Still tho, if someone needs the early game quietness then can run corrupt imo
