It would be a brokenly unbalanced perk.
I appreciate the intention. But this would be game breaking.
And beside that, the habit to band-aid design flaws through perk should be left for good.
-
Suffo merely because of the visuals.
All 3 suck, though.
Azarov spawns a 4 gen at least 50% of the time.
Suffo is a nightmare for killer in main building and mid area.
Sanctum has got too extreme rng.
-
Definitely Huntress.

i tried saying sadge in the endgame chat and it was blurred :'(
Bhvr's way to tell you that you're bad not just at the game, but at chatting too. Pure savagery.
-
Are you playing Nemesis by any chance? Because I have a suspicion his chaser emblem is bugged right now, but I haven't come around to test it yet.
-
If this happens repeatedly, then yes. But you would have to collect footage on all instances. Humongous burden of proof. The only times I know this resulted in a ban was when a streamer was targeted, for obvious reasons.
As this happened only once, it's not yet punishable.
-
Because she put a hat on you for the bloodpoints, not because she's trying to play optimally.
-
You're tunneling someone who's asking to be tunneled. It's not a difficult concept.
-
Mostly Nemesis. Sometimes Demo.

I think a .5 second cooldown to switching flashlight state wouldn't be too harmful to survivors in general play.
I also don't think flashlight removal would be too harmful for general play, but I know that that is a hot take.
But yeah, the best thing to do against characters like that is ignore them. They're confident in their chases and are trying to draw your attention to lure you into a chase they think they can win. I've had a Jake like that before. Fully ignored him and killed the rest of his team. Don't care how good you are, you're not winning 1v1.
It would have to be coded to kick in after a 3 or 4 cycles though. Chain blinding on a flashlight save if you started too early is a technique used legitmately for a game purpose, not for bm'ing.
-
The timer in your suggestions is too lenient. The add on gives a free tier of bloodlust and after a 15 sec chase real bloodlust would kick in with some time to spare on the timer. You're basically giving guaranteed hits.

I don't hate wanting to make changes to it. The NOED thing might be a bit much but I do agree that there is no real giddy up to EGC when it feels like in that situation "in real life" that would be your moment of hope that you might survive and you are desperate to get out while you can.
It would just be hard to balance it out or change it without giving an advantage to one side or the other.
This game is not realistic. In real life, after getting a machete to the dome, you just don't get someone rubbing your back and after a few seconds you're up and running. EGC is already a pressuring mechanic.

A 3 gen is a 3 gen. It doesn't matter if there is still 5 to do or there are only 3 left if the killer is focusing on that particular area you are already playing the 3 gen game.
Do people not get this? Do they really think its always the other guys fault for taking the free points on gens the killer refuses to patrol?
This is really it. Killers aren't even required to play the whole map and wise killers try to avoid it whenever possible, unless they're running S tier stuff.
Ironically, the thread title is still correct, but not for the reasons OP thought.
-
It's an old tome challenge. When selected, it'll spawn a pustula.
-
Not happening. It's the must-have perk of he-who-shall-not-be-named. That makes it untouchable.
-
It's a fair argument.
But you're about to be called a survivor main by someone. Just sayin'.
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I think it probably increases kill rates more at the lower skill brackets than it does at the higher ones. But I agree it does skew the data a bit and I hate the perk. I don't use it as killer either, at all.
It's effective at all mmr brackets. It's one of the best perks in the game. It just requires a certain macro strategy to extract max value.

Boil Over is still pretty good, that hook aura hiding and increased stagger are nothing to sneeze at.
Nah. I've run into a handful of survivors who ran it and it did absolutely nothing. Maybe on RPD, or once in a blue moon on Midwhich where you get done dirty by hook rng and you need to take a dropdown. But it's been a dead perk since the nerf. I'm perfectly fine if survivors in my trials waste a slot on that.
-
Yes, but it's emblem points only for proximity to hooked survivor.
They don't lose mmr. Actually, by ensuring your death, their mmr increases.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
that's the typical eu blight experience tbh
I must respectfully disagree. The typical EU Blight will also burn an Azarov's key, Mcmillan's bone, or an ebony. Seems like OP is still versing Blights who haven't quite reached full enlightenment, although they're on the right path.
-
She was higher tier back in the ptb.
The best way to play her now is to camp with dead man's switch.
Overall, it was a nice attempt at making an original killer, even if the outcome wasn't the best.
-
He's not hard, skill-ceiling-wise. Caveat: I'm talking about PC.
Usually, difficulty is the go-to argument in dbd to preemptively defend against perceived instances of nerf requests. Which is understandable.
There are a couple of things that one needs to know, like how stupid his hitbox is and how you can use it in shoulder flicks, or the infamous uber complicated takes-eons-to-master look down tech.
But other than that, he's very forgiving and can be played in a very algorythmic way.
Is he more difficult than Nurse? Probably a moot point. Personally, I don't think he is, because he can be played very straightforwardly. Ymmv.

She is supposed to travel quicker on the shorter distance because of proportionality. If she is faster on max distance, she will be on short distance too compared to no addons.
Negative. Read the figures the user I replied to posted. She's faster on max distance because max blink duration is fixed. On shorter distance, she's not. That's why, for example, she has a minimum blink speed of 6 m/s. Currently, the max speed is being applied on shorter ranges.

Blink will always take 1.5 seconds. Even with both range addons. This is intentional. The blink speed just looks quicker since shes traveling farther. This was a thing for years.
Blink:
- Maximum Blink range: 20 metres
- Minimum Blink range: 1.5 metres
- Maximum Blink duration: 1.5 seconds
- Minimum Blink duration: 0.25 seconds
- Fastest Blink speed: 13.33 m/s
- This is calculated based on maximum range using the maximum duration.
- Slowest Blink speed: 6 m/s
- This is calculated based on minimum range using the minimum duration.
- Maximum Blink charges: 2 Charges
- Blink Recharge time: 3 seconds per Charge
- Blink Charge time: 2 seconds
All the range addons effected was charge time on blink.
No. The bug is that she's traveling quicker on the shorter distance too, currently. Full charge blinks work correctly. Less than full charge ones don't, as the speed is not being calculated proportionally, she just goes mach speed.
-
They only fixed the charge time, the travel speed is still bugged.
-
I don't dodge unless I'm doing adept or maybe a challege which is a real pita to get done.
All those examples in the poll aren't indicative in themselves of hard lobbies. If I dodge, it's based on logged playtime.

Yeah that would be an interaction. But, hemorrhage's big association is with Sloppy Butcher, and if you were hit by a basic attack, it wouldn't matter anyway.
(wait, i might be wrong actually. Doesn't it clear status effects after you're hooked and rescued? Or is that only Exhaustion?)
It's unlikely that you'd run into one of Freddy's dream snares while they're using the specific addon, or a killer just happens to be using Blood Echo. So all in all, it should be barely noticeable.
Only exhaustion is reset.
@[Deleted User] said:
Could be.
7% healing progress lost per second sounds kinda rough, unless it means 7% of current progress. Even then, I dunno.
It's 7% every second. Sloppy specifically will also be buffed so it's more in the 8% range.
-
I doubt that's gonna drive up sales of the RE chapter then. But that cow has already been milked to death probably.

Sloppy Butcher still applies Mangled. Sorry for not being clear about that, I was only thinking about the things that changed and not what stayed the same!
Sounds overtuned having both effects. It basicalky counters its counter.
You nerfed thanatophobia with a similar reasoning, as the slower heal makes it more likely to get interrupted and lose progress. It makes other anti heals completely overshadowed.

It might be me that I never run DH, but do you killers really see that many players 99ing their heals? I don't think I've ever done it and I have played this game for years.
No. I can count on one hand the times I've seen it in the last few months.
Basically, Resilience gamer do it, although still very rarely in my opinion. Generally, they don't heal altogether. Or, sometimes against Legion.
But that too is exceedingly rare.

Don't worry. After next update, you won't be able to reveal him after a staring contest from 2m where he marks you. But, at least, it's gonna be iNteNdEd.

Can you... repeat this test during prime time? Lets say 19:00?
Not today, but you can just vpn and to test a queue whenever you want in whatever region. No need to play the trial too, so nobody gets upset from lag hits.

From the link:
What the above table suggests is that around 3 am on NA East servers
It sucks for 3am gamers, but maybe not exactly the most representative sample, if I'd have to be totally frank....
Meanwhile, today, EU central 11:20 am
Killer ~ 1m10s
Survivor ~ 20s
https://youtu.be/K9b7urDrQIUIn the end, no conclusions can be taken, as experience varies wildly between regions, time of the day and mmr brackets, plus all the implicit limits in the data mining method, that are actually explained in the article for those who cared to actually read it.
Actually, one conclusion is certain. Given all the knee-jerk reactions itt, it's quite clear a lot of people are eager to jump on the first wagon that fits their narrative.

So then this misalignment is a bug, right? Where is the hitbox?
The model is hunched over, but the hitbox stays roughly on the vertical of their feet, essentially slightly behind the model.
In the clip you posted, you needed to aim slightly toward your left.
-
The hitbox when healing is misaligned, it's not a cheat.

Cool. Then this match wasn't.
-
In this specific instance it's hard to say without watching the footage. It doesn't sound too sus though.
For the rest, closet hackers usually run nom obvious speedhacks, some form of walls and some action speed buffs. You'll notice you'll have a hard time catching up at loops and they usually win every 50/50.

Their sole purpose is to bully killers into infinite loops of locker stuns... Seen videos it worked on tons of people
And their sole purpose leads them to their inevitable demise. And as said, wait until you face survivors whose sole purpose is to win, then I'll gladly hear you about your feelings.
-
@Vlarian said:
As a nurse main, sadly I know why. Nurse is the strongest killer in the game hands down, and when you get pretty good with her, you basically 4k every match with ease. But, with the introduction of MMR, every win spikes your MMR to an extreme level, so alot of nurse mains that started getting good or are semi-decent with her get thrown into the sweatiest matches of their lives. So called, "High MMR". Here, you will see 4 dead hards, 4 iron wills, DS, BT, and of course CoH. So to many of these nurse players, they don't have fun and decide to go afk so that they can reduce their MMR to get less stressful matches. I know, because I see 4 dead hards every game, 4 DS's every game, every survivor has a minimum of 2k hours, etc.
So they 4k every match, but if mmr puts them in trials where they have to work for it they de-mmr so they still 4k but only easier? Gotta love the mindset.
-
if it wasn't for these sweaty bully squads
Head on is literally the opposite of sweating. This is a bunch of people just messing around instead of trying to win.
Wait until you face optimal survivors who aren't trying to interact with you at all and then tell us how you'll feel.
Too much drama about nothing.
-
I can confirm. Locker sound occlusion doesn't work, at least from the killer's pov.
-
The only addons on survivors worth saving are those that get consumed upon using and can't be kept anyway, like a syringe, unless they literally don't use them.
Killers aren't in a comparable situation, because some of them would be able to retain some truly busted stuff and they always get use out of their addons in a trial.
-
You made me lose 5 seconds of my time, I'm gonna make you lose 4 minutes of yours.
You wasted 4 min of your time as well.
What you did is legal. If you seek so eagerly validation to justify your actions, then you already realize subconciously you don't feel at ease with them.
Take responsibility for your choices, instead of blaming others. Otherwise, you're not better than the other person you're blaming.
-
They literally set the win conditions to be only kills/escapes after two years of working on the system and telling us that it wasn't based on kills/escapes alone.
And their reasoning was that there's too many nuances in gameplay to be captured, while already having the previous system (emblems) looking at a lot of variables, despite all its flaws that could've been ironed out.
I'm not disputing your argument in the OP. I'm just saying, given the precedents, definitely don't keep your hopes up.
-
What I would like would be a health chapter. Of course, it's the anniversary and it's never gonna happen.
So, my vote goes to Alien.
-
You're talking more about Tombstones.
Anyway, there's nothing wrong in using or liking something that's intended in the game.
There's also nothing wrong in disliking something that's in the game, even if it's intended.
As long as everybody is respectful about expressing and listening to opinions, that is.
-
Do you prefer the usual meta?
-
People will complain about design flaws despite your trying to ad hominem them into shame for voicing their opinions. They paid for their licence too.
You know, same thing that happens with complains about gen time, map balance, holding W etc.
Very mature and constructive thread. The irony of it is all contained in your first sentence.
-
It's a pvp game. Nobody is playing with their real lives. The monsters aren't real. After repeated exposition, the novelty wears off and everybody ends up being inevitably desensitized to the horror aspect. It's in the nature of things and there's no dev in the world who can do anything to magically avoid it.
