How is BBQ OP? you have the exact same thing in "wall hacks", it's called Dark Sense or Object of Obsession. Also, if you think they have BBQ, hide in a locker once someone gets picked up and wait 3 seconds when they are hooked.

I feel robbed for buying Ash. His perks are now the worst...
Their not the worst, they are just niche and only fit certain playstyles or against certain playstyles. Flip Flop is good if you get slugged and just left there, Buckle Up is also good against Sluggers, and MoM is good if you have Borrow Time so you can guarantee a safe hook rescue/protection hit.
-
@ASpazNamedSteve said:
The difference between 2 protection hits and 3 is huge. 2 is so damn easy. We need to keep in mind how insanely powerful MoM's effect is...
Make protection hits actually function properly, that's what MoM needs. They are completely inconsistent.
Agreed. As far as I've seen there are 2 protection hit scores, one that give 100 BP, and one that give 200. MoM and WGLF only give a stack if it's a 200 score event. My theory is that it's based on how far the chased survivor is from the killer when the protection hit occurs, but I have no way of proving/busting it.
-
No, Gideon Meat Plant is a fav map since it's both open and compressed, making it a lot easier for most killers IMO. I agree that the audio should be fixed, but it's the only map with 2 levels and thus it needs too stay.
-
This is a dumb argument. Playing only one killer 24/7 is boring, especially when all the killers are unique. The devs really need too take time too buff the weaker killers and make them viable at high ranks so it's not just Nurse, Billy, and Spirit.
-
Before his nerfs, he was a decent mid tier killer, but now I wouldn't, his perks are average and his ability is just too easy too pull him out of for any use besides maybe 99% people and one tap them, but those are few and far between. If you want an M1 killer who's power is helpful sometimes, he's the dude, but you would be better of with someone like Pig or Trapper.
-
I never really used this perk as it's always frowned upon but I think I'll equip it if I know I'm going against a sweaty SWF 4-Man with an Ebony Mori to even the odds a bit.
Noed is nice since at high ranks everyone gen rushes. Who cares if they flame you or it's frowned upon? play your way and enjoy the game. as @ClogWench said, if you use it as a crutch then it won't be helpful, but as a nice just in case perk it's really good.
-
Honestly, I want Tom Hanniger as a survivor and Axel Palmer as the killer from My Bloody Valentine.
-
This is pretty accurate except Ghostface should be in low C, He's so bad after the devs gutted him.
-
I like the idea, but it seems that it's just a better PGTW. Sure PGTW can be done multilpe times, but how many time's wil you need too kick a 99% gen? it just seems niche, but i like the concept.
-
The point of Furtive is too trick survivors by having no Terror Radius at 4 stacks, but it's pointless on anyone except Freddy because survivors at high ranks look for the Red Stain, or for you by looking behind them. all in all, it's pretty pointless unless you're playing Freddy, since Freddy can see aura's of survivors outside of his Terror Radius.
-
What is the process on internal testing and how long do things stay in testing for? Since Legion it feels you guys are just spewing bad content for a buck instead of taking the time too polish them. MoM is a perfect example. It should never of gotten past internal testing, but you still pushed it out without a second thought. Another one is Ghostface, His detection bug was caught in seconds on the PTB, but it made it past testers.

I'd like LF to get a unique ability with this rework, so I'll spit out an idea for you to explore.
LF will get an Overcharge ability that he can use during his chainsaw swing.
When he uses Overcharge, it will reset his chainsaw swing timer. This means if you're about to stop swinging your chainsaw, use this to keep swinging your chainsaw and catch some unsuspecting survivors!
Finally, Overcharge will allow LF to completely destroy vaults until his chainsaw swing ends. Destroying a vault will interrupt his chainsaw swing, just like a pallet does.
Interesting, but what would be the downside too using it? also, if you get stunned by destroying a vault, and it's repaired when the swings end, why even bother hitting the vault?

Edit: Why down vote queen guys? She answered the question :(
They didn't like the answer, or they see shes a dev and are trolls. Either way it's dumb.

When the killer kills off 3 survivors before the gens are done you may as well just make the last survivor automatically hang himself or pop a bottle of pills or something.
I liked this till you said you DC. One of the best perks too run for End Game is Wake Up now that it's fixed. 15% will pretty much guaranteed an open door if they don't have Remeber Me. But DCing just makes you into the wrong unless they are hacking or lag switching. I would change it too where killers can grab people from hatch too counter keys, but make the exit doors spawn across from each other every game. This way you can easily open it and the killer doesn't get a free kill. Please stop DCing.
-
I agree, the community does give the devs a bad rap, but with the 3.0.0 update, almost 10 perks didn't work as intended or were bugged in some degree. It feels since Legion they just stopped caring and just push out content for a quick buck, and hope they did it good enough too get a pass. The community is very "burn first, ask questions later" but the devs also haven't built a good defense lately IMO.
-
I like this idea actually, but I feel it could also loose the essence of what the game is, since then people will have too be stealth, and if their fighting a doctor, it would prob be a free win. But I would support this 100%.

Looping needs to go, it is the source of the unbalance in thr game.
When 1 person in the number role can actively verse the power role for minutes the game is already over.
It is a Necessity to remove looping and give survivors safe ways to defend themselves without having chases to last more than a minute, anything more than that will lead to gen rush and further unbalance.
Once looping is addressed we need to address some killers as they may be too strong for a nerfed looping meta.
Unfortunately they are redesigning two maps per year, which is nothing.
Most maps are survivor sided with some maps horribly killer sided
If someone is looping you, you have too decide "is the kill worth it?" because if it isn't, leave them and pressure a gen. You don't have too tunnel down one person for 5 gens.
-
Autodidact: it needs that early penalty though, because otherwise it would be way too strong and replace med kits entirely.
Fire Up: I like this idea, but then why would I bother running Brutal Strength?
Left Behind: The idea is nice, but without hatch grabs, it just becomes unfair for killers.
MoM: Fair enough, plus even when it was broken, did anyone actually use the aura downside?
Monstrous Shrine: The bloodpoints are nice, but i feel it should affect all hooks, because even with bloodpoints it's still a bad perk, look at Beast of Prey.
The rest of the idea's I like, It's good idea's too buff some of the weakest/nichest perks in the game. Keep it up!

No one is seemingly getting punished for any of the bugs.
They're fixed time to move on and wait for cosmetics and 3.1.0
It doesn't matter if it's fixed or not, it's the fact that it was in the game and it seems they won't punish anyone for it. It's double standards when they punished the people who exploited the Legion mending bug the first time, but they won't now because reasons.
-
@Yamaoka said:
No one got punished for the tinkerer 2 exploit neither so take your "the devs are favouring one side" bs elsewhere. They're game developers not killer or survivor mains.
1: they have said that they do main one side or the other, none really play both sides.
2: I wasn't around for the Tinkerer bug, but if they didn't ban people for it that is just as bad as well.

You still cannot spin your camera to reveal him. The buffer that was added to prevent that remains unchanged.
It's not the point, the point is that the buff is not needed since he is already easy too pull out. No one wanted this change and we are all asking for it too not hit live. Please listen too the community and remove this change.

Devour hope is a bit of an edge case and we'll have to take a look at that when we get time (the game doesn't treat a mori from devour hope differently from an offering right now). We're taking a look at some of the issues on the killer side of emblems right now, but I don't have anything set in stone to share just yet.
Devour Hope is not the sole reason the emblem system doesn't work. Ever since the new emblem changes were implemented it has been impossible too rank up on either side. IMO the emblem changes should be reverted till testing can be done on it so it can be fixed.

Then go get revealed way to easily making your ability as useless as legions
Missing my point, but ok xD

It's been fun guys, but I'm leaving the game, not much for me to do, since I can't improve much, I have ridiculous killer que times (main factor that drove me away), and survivor is boring as hell, like literally boring.
The que times though are out of BHVR hands. Everyone is still hyped about Ghostface so que times are long. if this is the only reason your leaving then i'd just wait a week or two and it should go back too normal.

@BunnyTheHutt Quiet add-ons? You mean muffler and such? If that is what you are referring to, it doesn't affect the terror radius. It only affects the chainsaw noise, like the revving and the actual motion of it.
You mis read the post my dude, the change would affect his terror radius.

Since the DS rework, I've only been hit with it twice. Could be 10 seconds for all I care. It is more anti tunnel now than anything. I say good. I hate tunnelers.
It's not the tunneling aspect that annoys me with the stun, it's the fact that you can get unhooked, bum rush another hook, get downed and grabbed, and then get a completely free save in the process and get too a loop. 5 seconds is just too strong with how I've seen people use it.
-
Just remove the reveal mechanic and let the expose bars regress cause his power is just garbage
Then why would I bother even playing Ghostface? This idea is bad since it would be a waste just too become a poor man's Myers.
-
This would be amazing. IDK if it would work in game as well as we think, but this is a great on paper, and can still be great if it needs tweaking. Only thing I would change is make the Quiet addons not affect Terror Radius. Last thing we need is a stealthy insta down killer.

So what you want is for the killer who is a dumb ######### in lore, to not play like a dumb #########. Okay, cool, not how it's supposed to be design wise but hey, you are a dumb ######### as well so of course you'd say all this. "Give him buffs so he practically has built in perks so i can run other perks and be op" the poster screams. Fam, nobody wants to see this ugly fat thing waddle around the map and actually be dangerous. Nobody wants to see this mistake of an addition in gaming to actually be viable, nobody will derive joy from going against this pathetic character ever. Please be quiet. Thank you.
Typical low rank survivor main. Fun Fact: In the lore, Leatherface isn't taken by the Entity. It's almost like they were given the licensed too make a killer and a story on how they got here. Another fun fact: they are KILLERS, not door mats. They are suppose too be threats in the game. No one want's too keep playing 3-4 killers at high ranks when the game's got 16 of them. You need too play more Killer and then you'll understand why he needs buffs.
-
Alright so basically I played two games of killer. One as Leatherface and another as Huntress.
It's a complete joke when compairing the adept killers too survivors. You have too get merciless as a killer with the 3 teachables, and survivors just have too escape with their 3 teachables. It's one of many examples of this game being survivor sided.
-
k this would be fun with some changes. I would make it too a round system as well, and reduce the EGC too 5 minutes. This way you can get max bloodpoints if lucky, and you can have a second chance upon being found first in one round.
-
Yea they removed it so now if someone brings a key, there is nothing you can do but watch them jump into it. There's no counter anymore and they really should bring it back, and then so its balanced, make it so gates spawn opposite from each other, so Killers can't just stand still and wait.
-
@Gardenia said:
Agreed, they rushed and panicked and the fixes they gave him are beyond subpar with little thought to how it would synergize with his power. The add-ons are terrible, there's no need to be so SLOW in FF.
yea, they pretty much didn't want another Freddy, so they changed him into a garbage M1 killer. I enjoy playing Legion but prepare too get bullied if you are high rank with non optimal perks.
-
Heard if EAC for some reason picks up that you toyed with a perk icon and get auto hammered you're SOL as far as BHVR is concerned, is this something that can actually happen?
No, I have not seen or heard a case were EAC banned someone for custome icons. If they did a lot of Streamers like Farmer John, Noob3, and others would of been banned a long time ago.

They should, but they make more money if they force you too buy more DLC's.

@Peanits said:
Unfortunately that's not really something we can "fix" outright. In this case, the reason why you're finding lobbies instantly as survivor but not as killer is because there are a lot of people trying to play killer right now- so many that there aren't enough survivors to fill all of their lobbies. Even if the matchmaking was 100% perfect, we can't fill lobbies if there's not enough people to fill them.
This is something we're going to try to keep in mind going forward, though. Certain things do tend to cause people to play one side over the other, so we could try to plan things in a way that balances that out a bit more.
One of those things is the Wake Up bug, fix when?
-
I want the miner from My Bloody Valentine. I could easily see a great killer coming from him and his movie, even if it is the remake one.
-
@Jdsgames said:
None, because they butcher them all!
Freddy was dekillerascated.
Piggy's Power went to the market.
Stalky Boy Myers lost his amazing BL with EW1.
Leatherface left the Massacre game along time ago. Now he sits silent in a basement.
Now we have Ghost Face.
Freddy, Leatherface, and end game pig are all bad, but Myers is still considered an A tier killer, and GF can be good once they iron his bugs out. And Pig still can be decent with stalling the game if RNG is on her side, which is why she is considered bad.

i feel like you are confusing “trigger” and “activate”
unless the Killer is unaware how how borrowed time or ds work, it is generally unlikely they won’t play play around it (simply slugging)
hitting a skillcheck doesn’t say anything towards the perks strength. It could be a button activation and the perk wouldn’t change
No, Activating means a perk has become usable for however long it remains, such as Hope and NOED when the gens are finished. Triggering means when you trigger an effect, so skill checks.
-
This would be the best April Fools joke ever.
-
I'm just not understanding how this is even legal. Like, I understand developers patching the game, adding new mechanics, etc...
Buddy, sit down because we have too talk. First off, it's their game. They can do what they want too and you have too deal with it. Secondly, Perks and killers change all the time too try and achieve balanace. Old MoM was broken beyond reality and realistically should never of made it past concept in that form. Thirdly, the Cosmetics were lighting from blacks too dark grey's and don't change too much. Stop being entitled about the 20 dollars you "lost" in skins when they still look great. There are much more important things too be talking about then this.
-
@Redd said:
Being blunt; it’s been a week. How long until the hotfix releases?
Well, if we look at how long old DS was around, and old MoM, I would say in about 2-3 years. RIP high rank killers.
-
@wisdom said:
I believe that 5 seconds is actually a good amount of time when you consider how difficult it is to trigger.
it is supposed to Be a deterrent . You don’t want it’s it to trigger? Slug or dont tunnel
It's not difficult at all too trigger, the skill check is 2x the size of a gen skillcheck. In all my time using it I have failed too hit it once because I have comcast and I get spikes from time too time.

What determines if people should get saves or not? You thinking you're entitled to a kill?
It's not entitledment mate, it's the fact dumb plays should not have massive rewards. Rushing a guy on the hook while injured should cost you a hook, not reward you for not using the perk as intended. Survivors should be rewarded for not farming themselves and their allies, not for rushing the killer because they know they have a "get out of jail free" card.
-
So the major problem right now other than some bad map desing, hitboxes(we are getting some reworks and dedicated server for this), is the game going too fast, leaving some killers completely helpless..
I like the concept, but the ladder idea is a bit far off. It would allow too much trolling if one person spent the game getting the ladder pieces and then some survivor just runs up and takes it before he can get on. Otherwise I like the idea of the batteries, but It should be for the start of the game since with NOED around it would be too strong for killers.
-
I'm currently at rank 8 as survivor and a pip away from reaching 7 and honestly I'm really not that good.
Because the devs care about survivors more then killers since survivors are the majority, so they make it easier for survivors and harder for killers in every aspect. Look at adept achievements and you can see 1 of many one sided things.
-
@gantes said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/548249#Comment_548249
The survivor can easily get to another loop in 3 seconds on many map setups, sure. But in a lot of map setups they'll just run to a dead zone and die again. So the anti tunnel perk wouldn't be doing its job.
Pallet stuns are different. The killer generally has to kick the pallet to get anything done.
Stopping to blind the killer generally makes you lose distance overall.
I just can't see the huge problem with DS being a 5, effectively 4 second stun. You're using a perk slot for an effect you're most likely not even gonna use. If it'll make people feel better, just make it 4 seconds without the small self stun for the survivor for all I care. People are just overreacting to something which isn't even a problem in the larger scope of the game.
it is a larger problem. The perk is meant for Anti tunneling, but if people are using it too bum rush hooks too get rescues that they shouldn't get. Clearly you will not always get too a safe spot on all maps all the time, but that also can be said about the perk currently, and if you use it against a Nurse it won't matter at all. 3 seconds is more then enough time too get away, long as you put yourself in a good spot too use it since it relies on you making it happen.
