They will never outright buff killers. Individual killers yes. But killers as a whole no. Because they have to protect survivors. Despite this being a horror game, survivors never have to fear a killer.
-
I really hope they address it soon. And not 3 months down the line when the next chapter comes out
-
Not to mention devs dont really care about killers plight. Or console players.
-
As someone who plays on both pc and console. Pc is so much better and smoother.
-
Nothing. Because mori fixes all my issues. For the record. Just because i bring a mori doesnt mean imma mori you. Unless you wanna teabag and flashlight click. Cause if you wanted my attention. You got it bucko

Plague shouldn't rob Survivors of their altruism points..
Bad killers getting destroyed shouldn't rob survivors of their safety pips either.
But this is life..
I knew it was a matter of time when a surv came in here and turned this surv base.
You get adept by just escaping as surv. A killer has to prolong the game. Get at least 10 hooks. And double pip. Just to get merc. One doesnt equal the other so stop it.

In real life, when someone is being harassed, do you think the appropriate action is for them to cut off all contact with others?
Tbh. Irl. I could just punch them in the face. So less trashtalking. Online, they are protected by anonymity, so everyone is a tough guy.

I think the problem is logistical. There's probably just too many tickets already flooding in for them to really address all of them, or even any of them. Which should tell you how widespread the problem is.
They'd probably have to hire a whole team/department of like 15 employees to keep up with it. Then you've also got a bunch of salty people getting banned etc and then they'll be asking for refunds etc.
It's a can of worms.
I mean..ill shift thru those tickets for like 5k auric cells a week
@Peanits get them to hire me bruh~

I think the best rework for moris is having to hook every survivor once.

This sort of stuff is common with multiplayer 1 side vs 1 side games, the teabagging and overall toxic gameplay. I’d recommend putting your profiles on private and pressing the arrows on the end game chat, which completely minimises it. When I started doing this, it made me feel a whole lot better, sure you miss the odd kind survivor and killer but overall, you’re not missing much.
For the teabagging side of it, the best advice is to not let that get to you- they’re either trying to keep your attention on them, which you should then just leave and find another survivor, or trying to make you angry, either way, just leave and find someone else. If the gens get done because you abandoned that chase, so be it, move on to the next game- they can’t contact you and they’ll hopefully move on with their bout of crouch spams.
I can’t really help much because I main Huntress/Deathslinger and occasionally Nurse so teabagging is usually punished when I play with them. Try playing more of those killers if you REALLY don’t want that, or Oni, all of them are able to punish toxic crouch spamming pretty easily. Sometimes I’ll run Ghostface so I can teabag with them! (Not at them, you don’t want to become the very thing you’re against).
Dont let it get to you, these are angry ADULTS being toxic for no reason at all- don’t let their childishness take their toll on you! Stay positive and good luck with your future games :)
this is why i bring moris.
-
A mori. Just in case.

I just heard about the new match making so I tested by playing a new killer and it is so unfair for the survivors. I'm only a lvl 16 killer but the people they put me up against were so inexperienced that I just felt bad for them. I completely stomped them I felt like such a jerk. They really need to fix this. As a lvl 12 survivor I'm going up against lvl 1 killers. And then as a killer I'm playing against lil baby noobs and its not cool and is ruining the game and making it not fun to play.
Okay. So here it goes. Why yes its unfair but it should quickly put you up higher to more of your killer skill levels vs just throwing you to the wolves

Yeah the bad ones are funny lol
Oh absolutely. Esp when they get one pallet stun. (Tho i think pallets hitboxes are kinda weird right now cause you get stunned..but you can still take like 2 steps to the pallet before it stops you)

While true that doesnt negate what Im saying. You see tbagger, you get angry, you make mistakes. Nothings 100%, it wont always work, but it does work.
And theres nothing wrong with camping when its necessary. If theres only 2 gens left and ive only gotten one hook they better be really good at being altruistic
I mean yea if im annoyed. But usually i just laugh and accept it as a challenge. Sometimes i get absolutely destroyed and i respect it. Othertimes they are so laughably bad.

You have to understand that this is a mind game. They want you to chase them so their team can do gens. If it pisses you off youre more likely to tunnel them and not think clearly letting the weaker players hold m1 on a gen. Even when they do it at the exit gates, theyre renforcing the "this action means you suck" so that in future games when you see someone do it your brain associates that action with an anger response causing you to make mistakes and tunnel the ones that are stronger in chase.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1467445#Comment_1467445
Then youre letting them win. Thats what they want. 1k 3 escape is a loss for you. Im fine with it when im the only one that dies if i wasted that much of the killers time. Its a team game, not a 1v1.
I mean youre right. But also wrong. Because of swf. They get super alteristic. I mean all 4 off gens to get the one guy off. Ive won a few red rank games because of this. To the point all are slugged and the guy barely got off hook. Its more or less a mind game at that point. You could let your friend die and win....or you could come rescue him and basically lose. With that being said. I don't camp. Just.. if i see you injuried or something, youre my side goal now. Makes sense?

You too my guy!

O im the killer who if you teabag ill kill you and let the others go. Straight up.

Ive had a survivor in killer shack vault windows and then slow vault back and then run to god pallet and drop it from inside and then slow vault into my arms. I was having some coffee while he did that.
See? Only spirit can pull some ######### off like this. Its the best.

Removing standing still mindgame would be a start. Her husk shouldn't be a thing. If she uses her power, she should disappear. Creates a different sort of mindgame. Also I would love to see her passive phasing gone.
But bruh.. its fun when you stand still and survivors come to you. Less work lololol
-
I don't mean to be that guy buut..
Welcome to dbd, where everything is bugged and match making sucks. Hope you enjoy tho!
-
My fave surv perks are sprint burst, inner strength, borrow time, and fixated.
Sprint burst for obvious reason. (I like chases) inner strength cause do bones. Borrow time to help during end game or a proxy camping killer. And fixated to help mind game. (Works wonders with spirit. Hense why i dont understand the complaints)
For killer it depends on my mood and what the survivors bring and what killer im playing. My favorite currently is with freddy which is pop surveillance noed and blood warden when 3 survivors bring tool boxes. (I know...scummy but do bones. Dont just do gens) the amount of salt i get cause of it is astonishing really.

I don't understand the trigger-status over Blendettes. I played survivor earlier this week and I chose Claudette, now keep in mind I am not a toxic survivor, I don't even like looping and will usually stop after a pallet or two and either try to hide or get caught. No biggie. I'm not immersive, don't use flashlights, etc. I learned a lot about what annoys/ruins the killer experience because I main killer. Yet, because I chose to use the Claudette (due to the fact she was one of the only ones that had the healer build I wanted to run), I was tunneled all match and eventually mori'd. (Once he stayed by the hook and came straight for me, I gave up the idea of playing nice and looped him for three gens before finally going down.) I asked him what/why after the match and his response was "F**K BLENDETTES! They all die!" I was wearing a shiny white dress and by no means blended with anything. ######### was that about?
Is it a racist thing? No, not being funny, just honestly don't get it. I've been a killer main for three years and ate too many old-school DS's from flashlight-clicking Megs, yet I don't get triggered when I see a Meg with a clicky. What kind of weak mind is so triggered by some form of imagined PTSD in a video game that they target Claudette merely for being there? That brings me back to a racial issue. Why?
Okay allow me to explain my version of blendettes. I used to only play on console. Game is a lot darker, shittier graphics, and if you play freddy make it x2. Match making is a bit broken so ya know you expext a chill game suddenly you have red ranks in the game. These red ranks are pretty good at times. Now with all that ######### added together. Add a p3 claudette. Who can flashlight like a pro. Thats what i mean by blendette. You never see them coming. Its like the spanish inquisition. Also if its any consolation, i def mori more megs than claudettes. I never mori a baby dwight. Ever. Idc if he was god tier. Never will.
-
I bet youre the type of survivor to complain about getting mori'd or noed, but all 4 of you brought toolboxes to gen rush thinking "rofl this will be easy"
-
Honestly, i bring moris to counter swf, blendettes, flashlight crew. Etc.

The recent increase in sensitivity has made it easier to hit survivors that try to juke on PS4. That said FPS drops are frustrating as hell, you end up whiffing even with no lunge. Autoaim doesn't always work for the killer, I am worried that the upcoming server side hit validation is going to make it worse unless they fix the fps issues on console.
As someone who plays both pc and console dbd.. fps drops on console is redic to the point i dread even playing it on console. There is no excuse devs should have on why its been broken this whole time.

Honestly, the higher in rank, the more toxic people seem to get. On lower ranks the most toxic ones are those that want to rise quickly, the others are fine and sometimes magnificent goofballs.
I think it's time for a casual mode (basically public custom matches without the possibility to unlock all perks as such). sure you'd still have some toxic folks, but probably not as many
i cant stress this enough. I bought the game for pc and low ranks had made me enjoy the game so much more. (mind you im red rank survivor/killer on console.) where i accidently played the game for 45 hours and made it to red rank with out raging.. i mean except for this one toxic doctor.. but tbh he was a camper.

Neither
I use Inner Strength or rely on team mates. Self care is too slow hence I love it when I am playing killer and I see survivors Self Caring, and medkits are limited amount of heals and I seem to get hit rather a lot (body blocking for team mates and things like that). So Inner Strength is perfect, you heal quickly even through perks such as Sloppy Butcher etc.
what rank are you if you dont mind me asking.
-
When you hear the woosh. Stop running and hide usually a spirit would fk off and not see you. If you run her like any other killer. Yea youre fkd. Its not that she is unskillful its the fact her basekit is very simple (nothing wrong with that) and she is easy to master. (Also nothing wrong with that)
-
Its almost like survivore forget there other 2 objectives. The game isnt over until you leave. So if you 1) didnt do bones. Or 2) forget that the main goal is to escape. Then you should realize that noed is fair play.
-
F.
-
I agree a bit. Hit boxes on console is so wonky.
-
Oni on ps4. Still cant complete it. Keep getting swf death squads who i cant catch. Not to mention his perks are bad. Either i get curb stomped or i curb stomp them and get 4k ruthless.
-
I would love this on ps4

Which is why the game needs to change to smaller maps in general but you literally cannot do that with a FREE killer that already is opressive as hell even on the biggest maps.
I agree except.... he can be countered easily by not running in a straight line. Sounds condescending and im sorry but when i play against billy's, i usually run inbetween trees and stuff and turn them to an m1 killer. A lot of maps arent open enough to reliably get chainsaws. Just my opinion. Maybe im just trash as billy.

Damn so I guess the fact that, except 2 changes to nurse and ruin, killers have basically only been buffed in changes that remain in live don't count, huh? Just the punching bag for survivors I guess, yet somehow many people still do well as them.
Wonky hit boxes glitch. Most killers unable to slow down game in base kit. Adept killers 1000000x harder than adept survivor. All survivor second chance perks including the ds abuse. Game pacing which literally can over whelm low tier killers extremely fast. Swf countering traps/stealth killers/gen pressure by piling on a gen while you have to chase a survivor. Match making which seems to mostly favor survivors. I mean should i go on? Or are you gonna brush it off?

This and it's sad that not more people can see the bigger picture.
I wanna start facing iconic stuff like Michael Myers more than once every blue moon. Even with Infinite T3 he's still weaker than Billy, let that sink in.
He is weak because of pacing. Literally cant be 4 places at once.

So quite a few people are upset about this and i'm actually wondering why?
In the first part of the video the bar was a quarter filled and he sprinted for 8 seconds and it only ended about halfway which means to get it completly full you would have to sprint for 24ish seconds. How often does that happen?
Second part the meter was halfway and it took 6 seconds to overheat. Which means it takes 12 seconds in total. Even when doing the mindgame at a loop if you rev for 12 seconds you're not doing a good job at it.
The only thing I see affecting this is Billy's who keep the chainsaw revved in front of a hooked survivor.
Not to mention that in return for this we get new addons to play with.
We all knew Billy was going to get changed. You all should be ecstatic it's as minimal as this. We can't know for sure untill the ptb ofcourse. But so far it really doesn't seem like a big deal at all.
Hell the only thing I'm worried about is that Billy seems to scream now when he goes for a sprint and i have a feeling that might be a map wide scream like Oni's.
Im upset because of the timing. I still feel like the game needs more balance. Mainly on the survivor side. With all their second chance perks, all the hitboxes and the plan fact survivors just do not fear the killers in general. This is also not mentioning the hot mess called matchmaking. Yet the devs feel this is the best time to nerf billy? Despite all the other problems plaguing the game? It honestly feels like they are making killers punching bags while protecting survivors. Im sure im about to get 3 people at least telling me how thats not true. But thats honestly how i feel.

Man... just reading survivors posts on this thread is funny af. They dont get it. Or just refuse too.

Most of u on the forums complain about how survivor sided it is I get that well I saw a post where they want a meta change because they are tired of being Ds or Bt or unbreakable but if you want survivors to stop running those perks don't camp bt won't activate. Don't tunnel ds will run out and don't slug unbreakable won't work. Simple u want a meta change U change meta.
Jesus... "dont camp" so if im not away from the hook in like idk... 3 seconds. Setting up no defense. Cant kick a nearby gen. Or a nearby pallet. Suddenly they unhook infront of you. And boom bt activates.
"Dont tunnel" you mean if you fk off come back see same survivor running towards you. Getting in a locker. Or just doing a gen infront of you, you should ignore them?

Nah. Killers would dc. You ever yet curb stomped so badly by a swf and almost every swing is a miss because latency issues? At that youre just like ######### it and wanna leave.
-
Hmm.. as someone who plays both i disagree to a certain extent. I think there is more things to be addressed. For example hit boxes. I play on console. A lot of misses are things that should of hit, but doesnt do to their wonky hitboxes. Looping is still really good, at times i get looped by jungle gym decent, other times i loop jungle gym decently. My biggest concern is, for something that is a horror game, the survivors do not fear the killer at all.

I think you can find a line between too distracting and braindead quicktime.
I don't know about throttling to artificially induce an even match, that never feels good (thinking about those Mario Kart races where you obliterate everyone and suddenly all the cpu karts are faster).
Another idea is to spawn as many chests as there are gens, and clearly label the gens. Each chest is accessible to each survivor once, and each one, instead of giving items, returns a random part for a random generator for each survivor that accesses it. Those parts unlock those specific gens for that individual survivor to repair. Get a part for gen 3, then find gen 3 to repair, etc.
I think this is a good idea but it will be hell for solo queues
-
Wha? As a killer main no mitter is the best survivor perk. I think all survivors need to run it.
