I disagree. 2 of us left at 3 gens, if we play smart and careful we have a good shot.
I'm not very good, either, I still miss skill checks and can't get out of a chase, pretty new to survivor. As a longtime killer, I thought there would be lots of "it's hopeless now, how do we make the most of it?" but that's not been my survivor experience. Most the time those gens ain't cold, if 2 of them are halfway done, you're on easy-street.
I hide and do gens, that's all I'm ok at, put me with another player like me and we can do 3, maybe 4 gens while the killer runs back and forth trying to see us. Put me with a powerhouse Steve that does nothing but keep the killer busy, that works, too. Those both happened last night.
I had a God-awful one where no gens were done when we started dying, it was Legion and no one could get anything done. 2 of us got out, though, because the constant trying to work gens had most of them close to finished. I was tempted to kill myself on hook during that one, glad I didn't.
It's a challenge, but you'll win more if you just refuse to give up. More rolls of the dice, once you're doomed, you can be more heroic.
-
I love the iron-man-mode of no perks, but I'd rather be able to see.
-
Thing is, sure it's fun for you to play this way, but it's not a realistic idea for public matches. Playing against bots sucks, free will and unpredictability is what we're here for. Making a killer not tunnel is like making a survivor not get gens done as quickly as they can. I love the idea of a killer getting BP+ for not tunneling, but if the killer can't decide, why is the killer playing?
I don't tunnel as killer and I don't enjoy being tunneled as survivor, but it's just part of the game. Once you see it's happening, you do your best. The killers that need to tunnel usually aren't as skilled, often newer or even brand new. There's a good chance they're struggling to secure one kill, everyone else has a good shot. A good team will interfere with tunneling, that's an objective, keeping each other alive. That's what ya gotta do.
-
It's all about attitude. I've loved playing killer all along, recently tried survivor and I can't get enough. Solo-queue, can't get out of a chase to save my life, lovin' it. Only unlocked a few perks. I get the sh*t kicked out of me a whole lot, because it's hard. See? It's hard, so the losses don't hurt and the wins are 10x as sweet.
This is a horror game, you're not supposed to be happy, you're supposed to struggle. When I feel like giving up, but end up getting out, that's way better than if I just kicked butt. I enjoy success, but I would get bored with it and so would most of you.
I'm agreeing with Nebula, you guys need to get your minds right.

Thanks guys, my world of pretend Fog music is expanded.

I know there's a better way to post these, but BubbaDredge an idiot except when writing lyrics about DBD. Here's my metal version:

I'm as happy as a Dredge gets! It makes sense that something I want would happen while I'm complaining.
No bah humbug here! Merry Xmas to all and all that stuff! Back to the game now, I had to click out when I realized what an old fool I was.

Speaking of music. Now you have me thinking about a Dead by Daylight musical! 😆
If it can be a dating game, it can be pretty much anything.

Thank you so much!
Suno is a lot of fun to play with, it won't replace real musicians, but if you need a bunch of songs about Leatherface, it works. :)

I have a couple of heartwarming/funny stories from last night playing on Halloween.
- For the first story I wish CountoftheFog was here to read it as it was a game with 2 Nancys and 2 Steves. So it’s Halloween and I am playing Wraith with the full intention of getting jump-scares on people. The map that spawns is The Game. I patrol the upper floor generators until I find a Nancy and Steve working on a generator. I chase the Steve first and he leads me to a couple of pallets, okay no big deal. His adrenaline is pumping, I should leave him alone to cool off since he probably won’t get scared, so I go back to the Nancy. While cloaked I just stand right next to her and like a couple of seconds go by until she notices I’ve been there the whole time. The generator pops and she tries to leave but can’t because she runs right into my character. I injure her and then cloak and leave. As I go downstairs to patrol the lower level gens I get stunned out of nowhere by a pallet. It’s the same Steve from earlier. I chase him a little bit without injuring him. I break chase to continue trying to terrorize the other players. I get to the gen right by basement and noone is there. I pass by one of the basement pallets and guess what happens? I get hit again by a pallet! IT’S THE SAME STEVE! He stands there staring at me after the stun and I stare back. At this point the pieces start coming together. It’s not me terrorizing them, it’s this Steve who is terrorizing me! I went in with the intention of scaring them, and this Steve flips the script on me and is the one doing the tricks on Halloween night. I couldn’t believe how funny it was. I ended up chasing him the whole match and when I got close to hit him I would ring the bell as a substitute hit. After they open the exit gates he just stands there staring at me, no tea bags, no head nods, nothing. He just stares and turns his head in whatever direction I am in before he escapes the trial with barely any time left on the EGC timer. It was by far a 10/10 match, it was so perfect for Halloween.
- The second match was more heartwarming. I was playing Wraith again and using the cat costume. My intention was to act like a giant cat who clings to the first Survivor I see and injure any other Survivors. I spawn into Dead Dog Saloon and immediately start looking for Survivors. The first Survivor I see is a Leon. He thinks I’m trying to kill him (and who could blame him with this giant cat chasing him) but as soon as I get close to hitting him I instead just stay as close as possible like I am physically clinging on. He catches on after a couple of pallets and windows and goes to the saloon. While there he immediately starts roleplaying bartender, jumping off the stairs and landing onto the bar top and tables etc. At this point other Survivors catch on and like the possessive cat that I was playing as, I hit any Survivor that isn’t him. I don’t put them into dying, just injury since they are cat scratches. Every time they heal each other I go and injure them. It seems they understand what is going on, that Leon is the “privileged” one lol. He goes to the piano and starts acting like he is playing the scales, I go next to him and use my bell in a rhythm, two single hits, then a double, over and over. I also make it look like I am playing the scales up and down the piano keys. Finally when the other Survivors get bored and escape I am there with the Leon in the exit gates and he is telling me to come with him. I hit the exit area to show that I can’t. I make my character cling to his and at this point omg lmao he stands still and looks deep into Cat Wraith’s eyes. He does this for literally like 5 seconds. Then as the EGC is 3/4 finished he takes us both back to the Saloon piano to play one last song LMAO!!!! He allows the EGC to kill him and I start violently shaking my character’s head back forth next to his being murdered body. Omg that was one of the funniest games I’ve had in a long time. And it fits with the Halloween theme too since technically a tragedy occurred LOL. The tragic story of a Cat Wraith and their Human lmao.
I'd like to see that second one put to music.
-
But you're not supposed to rely on a playstyle that's completely ruined by certain killers, you have to be versatile to win consistently on either side. Stealth killers feel the same way about aura-reading, but that's the game.
Your whole team uses flashlights? I brought Lightborn, now your whole team plays differently or you lose. Rock breaks scissors, scissors cut paper.
You don't like paper, you like playing rock so you only want to play against people who play scissors. See the problem? Only a bot will play scissors in your game of Rock-Scissors.
Your playstyle is good against group-a, but not against group-b. You blacklist group-b so you'll win more, but group-a blacklists you because your playstyle make them lose more. Matchmaking stops.
Specializing can be great, but you gotta put 25% toward dealing with those killers that mess up your strategy or just accept those losses with grace and move on.
Imagine if killers could blacklist 3 perks, killrates would skyrocket.
-
Proximity chat, have to be close to whisper to each other, the killer should hear talking when close enough or you're too loud.
Let somebody yell or act a fool, the killer will handle it.
I think it would be a ton of fun. If I could hear a survivor yelp when I jump-scare them, I would play twice as much.

Well thank you, it's mutual.
That's a big part of my love for DBD. I don't even like being evil in SP games, DBD is the only place I can have fun doing it.

Awww. Yeah, in the spur of the moment we sometimes forget that we are all players and just see the others role or function, but it's nice that we still can sometimes connect.
When I started out, I had a very rough game on one of the swamp maps and got zero hooks. Eventually I got a single hook, while the last gen was slammed out. And in this instance I just lost my killer Instinct. I could fight tooth and nail for this one single kill, but would probably lose it due to swarming the hook and just nodded to everyone, stepped aside and let them unhook that Feng, while I opened the gates.
The swarm of survivors parted and Jeff, with his long, flowing hair and long coat, stepped up to me, nodded and sat down under a hook, sacrificing himself for me. I was in tears at this gesture.
Another time I had a tough, but manageable game at the groaning storehouse, but here was this extremely good, pink Bunny-Feng that foiled my plans and escaped me time and time again. When turning a corner in a jungle gym, I saw here standing there, lunged, realised that she was communing with a Glyph and looked away in the very last second.
Feng looked at me and we kinda stared at each other for like 10s, then I smacked her and the spell was broken a I chased and finally downed her. But during that trial we would not cross weapons again, but just nid and wave at each other. Eventually all her mates were on hook and we watched the last one struggle for a couple of seconds together, before looking for hatch, exchanging our last pleasantries and parting ways forever.
And then I got a Pig match this week. I had a couple really rough matches where I suffered a lot of abuse by the survivors. I found the whole bunch, obvious a SWF and surprised them, but they all expertly eluded me with perfect use of SB and this instantly kinda broke me and I was done for this match, not being ready to deal with such players for a full match. Somehow they understood and 20s later four survivors were surrounding my hiding spot where I had retracted to wallow in self pity and they all popped my snout. Afterwards we memed around and frolicked on the desolate auto haven, filling it with laughter and joy, 8 hooks and countless smashed pallets and cute Miss Piggy 🐷 gasps.
In the postgame chat they were like "rough couple of games?" and it was all so wholesome.
EDIT: and one last heartwarming story: I once played Basement Chest defender Insidious Bubba. The survivors did their gens, someone opened the gates and one cheeky Leon came down for some last minute looting. I shook my head, he insisted, touched my chest and went down and on the hook. His duo-SWF Jill mate tried to save him, I shook my head, she insisted and went on the hook, too.
One of the survivors just left, the last one (I think it was a Nancy) came down, pointed at the two, I shook my head, she pointed at my chest, I shook my head. She nodded and walked beside me and together we watched the two fools die. Afterwards I escorted her to the gates, she waved and we parted ways.
That's it exactly! Sometimes during a trial it happens. We should be enemies, that's part of the fun, but we have way more in common with each other than we might realize. Those were some great moments, easier to remember than a big win.
Early phases in this game, sometimes it's so hard it makes the other team seem evil. I remember thinking "It's obvious I can't even hit you when you're standing still, do you have to make it impossible?" It feels like you're the little kid getting dunked on by the teenagers. The truth is more like they were happy get an easy win because those don't come often in DBD.
Great post! So many posts are negative, because when we get frustrated we come here to yell about it, but let's keep sharing stuff like this when it comes up. I just don't think this toxic community is as toxic as people think.
-
Is the void part of it for you guys?
I'm 3+ genning a lot lately, because survivors go to the void and after I get tired of following, I just kick all the gens and set things up in a way that makes sure the time they waste hurts them more than me. They come out all healed up, but I've regressed the gens I didn't want them to do, or all of them. This hurts them a lot more when I'm playing a trapping killer.
I patrol to find people, I don't usually protect gens beyond that. Since there are times when no one's on the map with me (in the void) I just default to it. I'll go in a couple times, but that's it. I don't want to play "who can go through the portals faster" so I play "you can't get the gens done if you keep hiding".
I'm not loving it. Had a 29 minute game with Wraith, half of it was pure, absolute boredom. That's a super-long game for me, if they hadn't got on my nerves, I'd have just let them do the gens and leave so I could play a fun trial. They got 3 gens done, the rest were cold and silent. They weren't close together, doesn't matter when the killer has tons of spare time between each chase.
This works really well with SM. They come running out of the portals and into a drone. While they're in there, I'm putting drones between the portals and the gens. This works doubly well because once I hit them, they'll have to run through drones to get to a portal.
But you can crouch through the drones and they don't get you while working gens, I'm not seeing how it's any different than the other trapping killers.
They all get a big bonus when given a bunch of spare time.

Seriously, the coming back to hook to tunnel off hook has been insane the last few weeks and has only increased with the event. Hook, back to hook to tunnel after unhook, trying to slug last 3 players at 4 gens, not to mention every killer running ultimate weapon and knowing where you are every 30 seconds.
If you play survivor I recommend you always run unbreakable, calm spirit, MFT and then your choice of a 4th perk. Windows or even DS if you want a chance of making it to the end of your matches.
Good luck.
Ultimate Weapon is once per minute. Activate it, 30 seconds active, 30 second cooldown.

Survivors often give up in situations like this, but also don't like rewarding the killer in a hopeless situation. Gens required to power the exit gate should scale based on how many survivors are left. 2 survivors needing to do 4 gens to escape isn't worth it, and will rarely end well for them. The game can change too quickly in favor of the killer, so there needs to be balance in this regard.
So how much rubber-banding would survivors need to entice them into finishing the game instead of acting like idiot children?
It's not worth it to try and won't end well, so waiting out the 1 hour timer is reasonable? They need another option? How about playing the ######### game?
If survivors don't want to reward the killer when the killer is winning, that means the goal is to punish the killer for winning. Griefing is also against the rules, isn't it? Two players working together to ruin the game for another, just to be a**holes.
And you think they should get a buff. Wow.

I Respect your Opinion on the Matter. but as the same time we both gotta come to the conclussion that No matter what happens. Hiding Prestieges or not, People will Dodge and that ain't something we can Really do.
Not counting the Random Dc or the Lobby Errors if we Had to take that into account since... Dbd Servers goes Brrrr

If Survivors would see my Prestiege level as Killer... they'd Dodge cause P100 Clown Goes Brrr,
That and if it Does show what Killer you are... Most chances that if they see a SM or something, they'll Hardcore Dodge that Lobby.

Ew. Sm...
Jokes aside... those survs were probably soloq and wanted some Decent Teammates to say the least..
Can't always assume a Swf / Soloq till Otherwise,
I didn't assume, I saw how they popped in the lobby. I don't have any bias towards SWFs, but unless I'm last in the lobby, I try to know who's a solo.
I don't want to pressure a hook if it's a solo, the game's hard enough for them. A bluff might get them killed, not what I want or what I get the most points for.
But I also have/had no negativity toward the SWF, there's a good chance keeping them in the Darkness threw them off. I only set it up with the angry music because she got salty. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, though. I'm a fast Dredge in general.

If survivors heal then they're not doing gens so wouldn't it be most optimal to go to the gen being worked on. Also 9 times out of 10 I try and get away from hook but sometimes the other survivor just leaves, I don't use self care so then I'm stuck injured if I've already used my med kit
Most the time I don't know which one that is. I'll check them all, right after I check under the hook.
You can be mad at the killer for coming back, but you should do so from somewhere else. That's alls I'm saying.
-
I don't want it to be a struggle to become/stay the werewolf, though. I'm ok with earning it the first time, but I don't want to spend half the match not-a-werewolf.

Yeh, i've not had a great time on this game lately. I'm playing with my friend while she has time until she has her baby then im probably going to stop playing all together.
All i get in games is; load in, first survivor chased, then hooked, then the survivor is unhooked and killer comes straight back to the hook to tunnel them (bearing in mind we've probs done one gen if that).
I don't expect to escape every game but its so boring now as killers sweat like their life depends on them getting the 4K and so because of that survivors have to try and rush gens which just creates a boring situation.
But yeh as Matt famously said "Go play something else" so yeh...
Not coming back to tunnel, coming back because we know that instead of doing the obvious thing, you'll just heal right there. That's not tunneling anyway, but that's not the point.
Since you know killers always come back there, why stay?
-
They're going for everyone, so it's good you're getting used to it.

There is literally no anti camping mechanic in the game. The devs even stated camping is a valid tool in the killer's arsenal, though it comes at a cost of gen protection. Risk vs reward.
I'm thinking you're actually talking about the anti-facecamp mechanic which has literally nothing to do with proxy camping. It's to stop bubbas from parking their butt on top of a hook for a no win situation.
I mained Bubba for years, it's still winnable. Fighting off a coordinated team isn't a freebie, that's all I'm saying.
Bubba is hands-down the best at dealing with a group, but once he uses his charges, he's M1 for several seconds, more than enough for unhooking. Bubbas don't bring M1 perks, so it's safer than other killers.
-
Once I started getting a little better at DBD, I heard the term "tryhard" and "sweaty". So weird, especially since I wasn't trying that hard. Apparently, I win a lot of my games because the other team isn't trying hard. Which makes no sense considering how upset they get when they lose. I'm not the one trying the wrong amount.
You're not the main character in every trial. You earn that or you're not. In my games, it's probably me, but not always. You guys need to stop thinking it's always. Sometimes you're the red-shirt, you had the balls to sign up for it, you have to take it with those same balls.
If a killer has to be truly malicious, I couldn't be killer. I'm not a mean-spirited person at all, wouldn't enjoy it, wouldn't be here. I just don't take joy in meanness. Even with the bullies, I'm not trying to make anyone sad or ruin anything for anyone. I hate the idea of ruining the game for others. Even Steves. Don't uninstall, Steve, I want to kill you again and again.
I'm just saying that you guys are just looking at a lot of this wrong, you're thinking with your emotions. The game is exciting, that means you feel the losses. The excitement is only exciting because it can be taken away. It's great that you feel that, that's draama, that's why you come back to DBD.
But you have to compartmentalize that, be able to enjoy it while reminding yourself it doesn't matter at all, you can play again right after it's over.
I'm gonna become a famous DBD youtuber, I'll be known as the killer that loses the best. People will say "Who's the best killer?" and argue about guys like Otz, Tofu... , but they'll have to specify "Do you mean best AT WINNING? B-Dredge is hands-down, the best killer in DBD when it comes to losing!" Everyone will agree, I'll get rich because everyone will be ironically wearing my merch. I'll hook you guys up, though.
You guys really need to get your head on right with how you see the game. Embrace the challenge, enjoy the competition, then just play again. Doesn't matter who won. I know I talk a lot of BS, but I am one of the best killers when it comes to having fun. There's no time when I get frustrated or upset or burnt out. I love horror movies and I love playing DBD, there's nothing else to it.
You get on a rollercoaster to be scared, once you're off it, you don't stay scared, you're not upset. Play with your entire soul, but when it's over, recognize it. Whatever excited emotion you're feeling was triggered by pretend, you have to remember that.
That's all I'm saying. Also buy my merch, but not now, later when I have merch and am famous.
-
Rapid Brutality helped me to really notice Bloodlust when I don't bring it. I kind of like that's it's a trade-off. Either can be very helpful and I like having a choice.
-
The good chase, for me (killer), is when the survivor is good. I like playing pallets and trying to catch at windows, if a survivor can keep me busy, keep me thinking it's gonna happen, then dodging or tricking me, that's the best chase.
Like other's said, learning is what you do when you play against better players. I'll chase you the whole daggone game if you're fun to chase. I've won plenty of times, but this might be my only chance to chase YOU.
I won't be rude about it, if a team-mate tries to take aggro to give you a break, I'll let that work. Unless I'm pretending to be mad, I don't really want survivors to think I am.
-
I think I should be able to spread slipstream by shooting survivors a couple times.
His power is ok and can be effective, but I just don't want to shut down and look at cameras. Even when I find someone quick and get a teleport, I'd have rather just had a notification show me where to run.
I just don't like stopping, it brings down my excitement. It's like I'm taking a break, but I take breaks between trials, so I'm good.
I love playing Luxx, but I mostly just chase people and throw up cameras as an afterthought. The only way I enjoy his power is with an end-game build, set up cameras just for that. Usually I just play M1, Murderbot.
I'd really like to have a weaker version of his power that I could just use on the go.
-
I unlocked her, but never tried her until the changes were made because I don't play gen defense, I chase.

I have it on most of the time anyway because blinds from any source suck, but it invalidates four survivor items at once so it’s worth the slot if you just see them in the lobby.
Not to mention it's uncommon enough that flashers will just keep trying, giving you that 8 second aura every time.
I consider it a perk that fills a slot unless I need that slot, but I get so much value. Agitation is the other slot-filler, and the two of them save me a ton of time on hooking. I don't have to look around, I don't have to be careful, I jog to the hook.
When you're going for 12 hooks, even 5 seconds each is a minute, not counting the time it saves you by not losing a hook.
Underrated Perk if there ever was one. Power isn't just what you can do, it's what you can ignore and what you can stop.

If they keep up with the Sci-Fi theme they've been doing this year it's the most likely one.
I think that's the reason they won't, though. Predator is 100% coming, but I don't know about next.
-
I give it a thumbs up.
I've had survivors the kept me near the hook and I've had smart survivors, too. No problems at all.
I got to test it last night, had a bot on hook, went back and just facecamped like a fiend. Worked great, surprisingly fast if you're standing right there. The bot started trying as soon as I got back, so it's not even boring.
-
When I first started this game, I figured the type that would volunteer to be a victim in a horror game must be tough as nails.
I immediately discovered the exact opposite, the typical survivor player wants an easy escape and an opportunity to tb at the exit. Anything else might make them DC. Delicate little flowers, not tough nails.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but unhooking is a pretty big component of survivor objectives. Helps with pipping, bp, certain dailies and challenges. So I guess hooking helps the people you are playing with.
I did mention it a little, but it's not really an issue if you think about it. I like to do my challenges, but sometimes it's not meant to be. If you're trying to get pallet stuns and I'm your killer, I'm your favorite killer, I'll take 'em. However, if I'm playing Bubba, you should probably wait until your next trial. That's just how the cookie crumbles.
I've failed at kicking-gens because nobody did gens, it's nice to get 'em done quick, but we can't expect anyone to know what we're doing or help. I could just as easily screw up someone's challenge by focusing on my challenge.

How long the survivors spend on the ground is up to their teammates. Removing the 3 strikes of hooks does let them play more. Even if they are bad at chase, they get more chances thus spending more time in chase.
There's a youtuber, Bazazell, that has a strat where he slugs rather than hooks, but he's doing it for efficiency, that's what I was imagining.
But you're right, if a killer slugs instead of hooks, there's considerably more chances for survivors to be picked up and play. A survivor might get picked up ten+ times before running out of blood.
Daggone, you might be giving survivors more playtime than any of us.

Why does the mention of slugging always go directly to the four-man Slug and wait till everybody bleeds out argument?
I can't even say that in the few times I have been slugged as Survivor, even though I found it more enjoyable then hooking, I have ever encountered a killer that waits for the bleed out after getting us all down that way.
I'm not denying that this has happened to people but surely it's not so common that this is the go to idea of slugging. This occurrence is surely more rare than hook camping and personally I've scarcely seen that.
THIS is a problem we have. Everyone, including myself, confuses slugs for bleed-outs, and they should be separate terms. If slugging is the same as bleeding out, hooking is the same as face-camping for a kill. There's a world of difference in there, and most of us know enough about the game that we should be using accurate terms.
I should've known better. when I turn friendly, I just don't death-hook, I slug so they can see they made a bad choice, but they get to keep playing. And you're completely right, there's lots of points and action to be had while doing so.
DemonDaddy, you blew my mind.

You're definitely not playing chill. Survivors don't enjoy being slugged. There are plenty of reasons to slug stratigically, especially if you're playing Twins, but it sounds like you're being a jerk just to be a jerk.
Losing isn't really fun for killers, either. I think going for hooks is both better and healthier, but at the same time, nobody expects survivors to win in a way that killers will enjoy.
Often the exact opposite.
I like survivors, I like people who share this game with me, but survivors aren't known for being nice to killers. If caring about the other side was more normal, this wouldn't seem like such an entitlement, but it's not at all normal for survivors to care about my fun.
That being said, I do care about the survivors having fun, but I don't owe it to you. You're not entitled to it, I'm not a jerk if I don't.

Hooks
Yeah thats right, hooks. Is there any reason I should be using these pointless things over slugging?
To be honest I just cant find a justification that is compelling enough to abandon slugging as my primary means of play. When I think about it, slugging does everything that a hook offers while also allowing removing unfavorable aspects. Im not playing to 4k every match, not determined to focus down 2 survivors for a draw, Im just playing chill while trying to maximize the number of chases I can enjoy and letting survivors determine who if any escape. How could hooks be used to promote that same energy?
So aside from being the quickest way to kill a single survivor, whats something hooks do better?
You like chases more than kills, you're playing wrong.
People who lay on the ground a long time aren't in chase for a long time. Typically a unhook leads to a chase, you get an unhook notification, there's two survivors, chase one.
Let the survivors play more, you'll get way more chases. Let them take chances and they will. Too oppressive makes the survivors too careful, not worth the risk of getting into a chase they can avoid.
Both you and the guy on the ground will get more BP and action if you hook. That's the one compelling reason you need, it's more fun for both of you. You don't owe it to survivors, but it's more fun, more points, more playing.
But as a killer that knows how to enjoy this game day-in and day-out, fun is the only reason. If you're playing well enough to control the trial, win in the way that gets you what you want. Efficiency doesn't matter. Toy with them.
That's why villains always explain their plans to the hero instead of just killing them, it's an empty victory if you don't savor it.

Lets see here just off the top of my head right now..
Bloodlust, Aura/screaming perks to find hidden survivors, nerfing healing and medkits, Anti loop killer powers, more teleporting killers that can travel across the entire map in a second.. Instant down killers.. Killers with built in slow down mechanics.. Reworking of maps to make them smaller with weaker pallets and tiles while also adding larger dead zones...
Update 6.1 in general with the sole goal of inflating kill rates.. Nerfing Prove Thyself, Iron Will, D.S, D.H, and BNP... Probably so much more that I'm forgetting right now too...
There has been a lot of Killer hand holding going on for a while and they still cry and come here to complain that survivors have it so good and every single team they face are just super SWFs so ALL survivors need to be nerfed into oblivion...
Bet money after they get what they want they will turn right around and say something like "Wow this game is just too easy now! Where are all the good survivors at!?! I'm bored, I think I'll just quit playing DbD for good this time!"
Killers have perks and powers = hand holding
We're so spoiled, being allowed to play.

With the Objectives being so generalized... Gens V Kills
And with MMR being what it is... Escapes V Kills
It's more like both sides yelling at one another to stop doing the Objectives so fast... Genrushing V Camping and Tunneling
BHVR needs to add more Side Objectives and MMR being added to
I feel like this is exactly the issue.
I try to play in the way I consider "best". I'm not trying to end the trial early or draw it out forever. Best games are when I get survivors that's feel the same way. They could hit gens and hide when I patrol and probably win. I could tunnel and probably win.
It's way more fun when both sides want action and POINTS.
Sure kills and escapes should matter, but a survivor that carries a whole team or sacrifices themselves to get the others out, that's no loser, that's the person that decided the match. I don't play survivor, but if I did, I'd want to be a player that sometimes dies to pull a win for my team. That would make me feel like a winner, that's power.
