i'm laughing so hard at the idea of someone gaming with a trackpad
I don’t use it to play. Lol I use a PC controller. I’ve always felt better using controllers over keyboard and mouse, but when I’m in lobby screen and using my BP, I use the mouse in the bloodweb.
-
Nah, I don’t have the time nor do I care enough to do any of this. In fact, if I see someone who just got on first hook and they’re already intentionally killing themselves on hook OR put themselves in second state because they were too impatient to wait for a teammate to come and get them, I won’t attempt rescue.
Too many times I’ve ended up downed and hooked by trying to unhook a teammate who didn’t want to be saved, or because they were mad that every teammate didn’t immediately drop what they were doing and run for their rescue the minute they touched hook.
Im not taking unnecessary hooks for that crap. I’m gonna continue the game.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
i know killing ur teammate instantly on second or even first hook is a possible hack. but back-to-back i think its a glitch and a big one
Someone did mention to me that it could also be a cheating survivor doing it, not necessarily the killer. I just don’t understand why? In a game where your own survival rate is higher with your teammates in game, why are you killing them on their first and second hooks?
just to be an #########?

I play on a laptop and the amount of time I’ve spent clicking and holding down each time for each item to be purchased, I fear, is wearing out my laptops internal mouse.
it’s becoming harder and harder to left click/hold and has gotten to the point where I have to try several times to get it to go through. At the point now where I’m having to switch to attaching a regular mouse before I completely mess up the internal one.
Two things I’d like to see as a QOL change is:
- Change it to be the way you guys changed the challenge tomes where we only have to one click now, as many others have suggested.
- Give us a one-click button AT LEAST for bloodweb levels 1-9. Having to go through and individually click/hold every item is stupid because we HAVE to take every item until the entity shows up in level 10 anyway.
-
I’m also having matches where even after I’m on hook the wiggle checks continue for about 1-2 seconds.
and we are still having issues where the wiggle bar is full and we can’t wiggle off.
-
Yes I posted about this yesterday. The need sticks and it moved like it’s “jagged” or scraping against something rather than the smooth movement it had before. And when it hits the skill check zones it pauses for a fraction of a second.
I’ve been unable to wiggle off even using boil over now.
-
@OrangeBear said:
The great skill check zones don't flash yellow when you hit them, that's what is off.
that’s definitely not the only thing that’s off.

Iive got same stuff brother its like when u hit it on the good one have a little pause before start again
exactly! Can we get a dev in here to see this?

+100% is 2x
1.5x is +50%
Bloodhunt > Blood Rush
So why not just say 50%? That 1.5K ######### is confusing. Lmaoo
Okay then. Yes bloodhunt would have def been better.
-
@Seraphor said:
That's what 1.5x means. 50% more than normal. If you earn 20,000, you get 30,000.
Okay this is confusing then. Because the regular bloodhunt is 100% meaning I get double what I earned. The survivor Q bonus is 100% meaning you get double what I earned.
So shouldn’t 1.5 mean 150% of what I earned?
I guess my math ain’t mathing then. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

what are you playing on? I got this quite a bit on the PS4 (haven't had it since I got PS5) but I described it as the movement being jagged when I was trying to explain it to my mate, it kind of judders along slower that what it should and its more difficult.
Sounds like you've got the exact same thing, if so, it isn't anything new, sounds like its a performance issue, what are you playing on?
That’s what I’m getting yes. I’m playing on PC and this is the first time I’ve had this issue and it JUST started when I downloaded the new update.
also I just had this happen where the killer got me to hook and after he hooked me my wiggle skill checks were still going.
there’s definitely a bug or some issues going on.
-
@JustAnotherNewbie said:
Visual example maybe?
I can’t give one. Just imagine the skill checks moving back and forth like they’re scraping against something instead of the smooth flow they usually do. And they’re slower. Had two already where I normally would have wiggled off even after being dropped mid wiggle and picked back up, and I didn’t.
Yesterday I was playing and the wiggle bug where the skill bar is full and it still won’t let you wiggle off was happening too. There’s definitely something wrong with the wiggle skill checks.
-
I agree. I should have the ability to block crappy people who play toxic and then act like jerks in endgame chat. I’ve been matched 3 times already with a toxic ass player that I hate playing against and it’s incredibly frustrating.
as the OP is saying the player base is way too huge to have any over arching negative effects game-wide. It will only hurt the people who abuse it and the toxic players no one wants to play with. Survivors and killers alike.
-
When/where are the poll results posted at? Can someone link me please?
-
I run boil over and honestly it doesn’t work for me unless I have a map where I can use the layout or buildings to help. As someone else said using that drop down to get the extra wiggle is the only way it works for me.
Otherwise it never works because hooks are too close together. The only way Boil Over works for me regularly is if I play swf because I have friends who will try to body block or hook sabo to buy time for me. That doesn’t happen in solo Q ever.

The queue bonus I believe is a visual issue, the bonus is being given but not shown.
This isn't something we're compensating right now, we are focusing on the players who were unable to play at all and couldn't gain anything out of the Event. And we have no reports of some login rewards not proccing for players - we can see that they actually did occur every day they were supposed to...however the rift fragments do not give a pop-up which is why a lot of players felt they weren't getting anything.
Im not sure what you mean by this. I count the points at the end of the match and I’ve had many many matches where the survivor queue bonus was not given. Usually when it’s given it shows up at the end of your point count as the survivor queue bonus. In cases where it doesn’t show up I did not get the bonus because I checked the point total.

There wasn't any Iri Shards in the login rewards...the 2k shards that are being given out to players is what roughly they would have earnt had they been able to log in and play during this time.
The reward is being given out as some players were unable to login at all to receive their rewards due to an issue that prevented them from our side, hence this reward being done now for those players. It's automatic and those that were affected have already received the compensation.
what about those of us who simply didn’t receive login rewards some days or when we weren’t receiving the queue bonuses despite it showing the bonus being active? I had that issue a TON during the Halloween event.

There isn't server validation on flashlights at this present time - I do not have information if that will be a thing in future either.
And I understand your frustration on grabs, pretty sure survivors have the same frustration on window vaults as well!
As a survivor I’ve had several times where I’ve vaulted out a window, been almost to the ground the killer reached and grabbed me and pulled me back up and through the window.
latency issues on the killer side benefits them greatly.
-
It would be nice for them to convert the unused rods to BP since we had to spend them on these items. If we don’t have the option to use them anymore it would be only fair.
-
Yeah I’ve actively been trying to avoid them in the bloodweb for the past week but I keep getting forced to take them from the entity. It’s a waste of my BP to take something I won’t be able to use tomorrow.
-
@whispersenthusiast said:
That's the neat part: you don't.
The rarer items usually showed up in bloodwebs beyond 50, but since they force you to prestige and start over now, you'd have to reach P100 to consistently get rarer stuff.
They've said they're gonna fix this eventually though I believe.
There were bloodwebs beyond 50? When was this?
so all the stuff they said before about finding more items in higher prestige levels was crap then?

I wish server issues didn't apply the penalty either, but the devs have said it cannot distinguish between those connection problems or the player closing the game/pulling the plug/whatever.
They seemed to be able to do that before when they turned off the timer because of the crashing issues when the event began.
plus if we can provide screenshots of the crash report then that should show that it’s not us.

To jump on the problem highlighted by C3Tooth, here is a visual aid made by Otzdarva highlighting this problem. A survivor with no med-kit vs a survivor with a build and a tooled out med-kit is such a vast difference, that its basically night and day. Med-kits are arguable the strongest items in the game and if you push them to their limits you can basically heal faster then the killer can unjure you. This inconsistancy is what drives imbalance and might push even chill killers into the tunneler territory (all killers are misunderstood saints in bloody robes :V /s).
But for real, when you see a med-kit or a toolbox, you got no idea what you might get and some killers might just take no chances and go all in, thereby stomping just a group of casual friends who are fooling around with their camping medkits thats good for a single healing.
thank you for the visual aid. So my take on this is that killers see this as a “problem” because as you said they can heal faster than a killer can injure.
As a survivor main with 900 hours, having a green or purple medkit has never saved me from getting downed or sacrificed. This seems like another “problem” for killers who think they’re supposed to 4K every match and that if they don’t, that it’s a game design flaw and needs to be fixed. I get that BHVR has killers thinking this game is all about their pleasure and revolves around them, but there are actual people playing survivors here that want a fair shot. If survs didn’t play, killers would only have bots to play against or there would be no game.

Having the same 4 survivors with same perks, also the same killer in both match A and B.
Survivors team A have no item. Survivors team B have 4 Ranger, Gel dressing, Styptic, Syringe...
How can you balance perks when the gaps of item/addon investing between 2 teams this huge?
I really think item should be nerfed but free, come with a single version Brown (act like killer's power), and buff addon in return. To reduce the item investment gaps
You’re explaining to me an argument for why you think they should be nerfed.
But how exactly are they being abused? Just because they’re available to use and survs use them?
-
@GoshJosh said:
- Equip medkit
- Use medkit
There ya go.
Abuse on these forums means using anything I don’t like - even within the set parameters of the game.
I mean… I’m trying to be open-minded and see if there’s honestly something going on with medkits that would constitute “abuse” but if it’s just survivors using medkits then that’s just silly.
-
I’ve played against many killers not nurse or blight who have demolished my SWF without camping or tunneling. They were just good. I currently have 900 hours in the game and the people I play with have 1500, 1100 and 700 hours.
Also…. And this is the most important part: You don’t HAVE to win every single match you play with a 4K. You can still have fun, get good BP, increase your rank etc without needing to 4K every match.
I swear it’s like so many killer mains claim they HAVE to camp and tunnel but the reality is that they think they’re entitled to a 4K match every time and are too lazy to learn how to play their killer and learn their powers and what perks go best with their intent.
you can camp and tunnel all you want but let’s stop with the silly excuses. Lol
-
I see, thank you!

If they get up and play the game normally it's fine. But if they keep pointing at the hook they'll stay with me. They can DC for free if they want, I'm not "forcing" anyone to play.
You’re just showing everyone that you have major control issues and a God complex 🤣🤣🤣

I'm in agreement that suiciding on hook is immature and usually ragequit-adjacent - however,
It will never not amuse me that people love to parrot "your fun isn't my responsibility" while in the same breath saying that survivors shouldn't be able to hook suicide because "it ruins others' fun"
We can talk about the topic with facts and statistics, and how to make things better - but "it ruins' others' fun" is either valid across the board, or it isn't. You can't knock it down in one area while holding it up as infallible in another.
Thank you for showing some fairness here and calling out the hypocrisy.

This is the first time I’ve seen these and I’m confused. What’s the purpose of this? How does this help you save BP?

This is wrong on so many levels. Most killers aside from a small handfuls are not viable in higher ranked matches. These killers have needed tweaking and fixing long before anything relating to soloqu. No, this is another case of survivors crying a bout a non issue and the devs bend the knee with out thought. Basekit unbreakable is and always will be a bad move, just like totems and shows where their concerns truly lie. The survivor's fun and experience
How dare they care about the survivors having fun in this game? They should only care about killers amirite? Lol
-
Some of y’all just want survivors punished for everything. Lmao
I don’t care for the exit gate teabagging. Waste of time when I could be onto my next match IMO, but this isn’t something that needs punishing. Like others have said, either push them out or go look for pallets to break and other points to farm until they leave.

It has to be a bug then. Unless you got locker grabbed or something similar it should have worked.
Nope. Just a regular running and downed. I guess I’ll report it as a bug then.
-
Also no, I didn’t do any conspecious actions after. I was literally unhooked, running and he followed mE and downed me .
-
I literally just played a game with a Myers where I was running OTR. As soon as I got unhooked, it activated and when the Myers tunneled me off hook he was able to instantly down me, while my OTS showed that I still had time left on it. Why didn’t it work? I checked the Myers perks and they were running anything to suggest that my OTR should have been disabled.
Is this a bug? Someone page Mandy please lol

Personally I don’t hate legion but I find playing against him to be obnoxious. As many have already said, it’s boring. I don’t want to spend the entire match doing nothing but mending for 10 minutes. My goal in a match is to maximize my BP and enjoy the chase and having to think and strategize on my feet with a killer. If I die cool, as long as I enjoy the match but I never do with Legion.
I enjoy playing against a Myers or a Nemesis or even a nurse because they’re genuinely scary and fun. But legion is just the most boring killer. When I hear his music I’m not nervous and excited, I just think “Oh god this annoying dude.” Time to mend myself to death for 10-15 minutes. Just feels like a boring waste of my time.
-
The only time I “teabag” at exit gates is if
- The killer was griefing and being a toxic ######### during the match (I believe in matching energy)
- I will crouch dance a few times in front of killer at exit gate if killer allowed me to leave, just as a way of saying thank you. But I mean, like two crouches and then nod at killer and leave so they know I’m thanking them. 😊
People who do it just to show off that they’re escaping, I think is stupid. Plus a waste of my time. I’d rather just leave and go on to find my next match.
-
@Bot_Salvo88 said:
Stunning the killer makes you steal his energy. Doesn't that make survivors sweaty?
Not unless that’s ALL the survs are doing. But the vast vast majority are not.
Point being, the way they did this just increases the aggression, toxicity and fighting in a community that already has too much of all of those.
-
@myers_obsession said:
Don't know what your problem is. The game is becoming really stall over time and this creates new objectives. Nothing has changed. Killers are sweaty as always and survs are toxic. Thats dbd.
I stated what my problem is. You don’t like it, move along.
