Sounds like Bethesda saved them from going downhill with them.

Of course! Being able to toy around with all kinds of modifiers/difficulties etc would allow all games to be somewhat different similar to current games thus resulting in fun interactions even despite the fact you're going against ai's.
Then that's already very alluring.
-
I just ignore their existance.
Maybe that's a defense mechanism my brain subconsciously set up to not be bothered by Keys, but if they successfully use a Key, i mostly just go: " 'Kay. "
-
I don't know, i'd have to try it out first.
Also, would you be able to customize the AI like you can customize the character(s) you play?
-
I slightly remember this Trapper who seemingly moved all his Bear Traps from area to area very quickly.
I disabled so many Bear Traps, but got caught in one quite quickly anyway.
Always in new locations.
Add-ons were to increase setting speed, but still, i felt like nothing was safe at all.

Wraith still pretty good. Just a bit weaker than before
I love the current Wraith tons more.
-
Whenever i'm near a hooked Survivor, i usually immediately hear them go HUEEE, HERRR, HARAA!
Y'know, the self-unhook noises.
I'd say it's still a good indicator, though i almost never camp, so they just did it cause i was passing by.
-
Wraith being called OP back then is hilarious from today's point of view.

Even so, that is a problem. Its a perk that not only is very niche, but actually has the potential of helping survivors. Unlike Dying Light, the reward you get for buffing a survivor isn't worth it (Hell, for Dying Light it's barely worth it).
If Unnerving -removed- Great Skill Checks, it would not have the risk of helping survivors.
I'd love if Dying Light's debuffs wouldn't be removed upon the Obsession's death, just as long as you can still no longer gain Tokens when the Obsession's dead.
Firstly, i didn't even know that UP didn't include Greats, i rarely encounter it and practically never use it.
So i'd figure that, at the very least, include Greats in the reduction.
-
Greats shouldn't be bigger, it probably looks like that because Good is smaller.
But yeah, because Good is smaller & Great remains unchanged, it means more of the total Skill Check now exists of Great.
Makes sense that, if you can always hit Skill Checks, Unnerving Presence or not, that you'll hit Greats when affected by UP.
-
I'm not a genius at this kind of stuff, but if others do online things like streaming on Netflix and playing multiplayer games, doesn't that affect your connection?
-
Yeah, i did have a break before in early 2017 because i played way too much, got a hard burnout.
Now i play regularly, and i haven't had a break since.
Didn't break anything though...

Cheap Gin Bottle.

Sony's blocking BHVR from changing the conditions, as you can technically still earn the trophies.
Only when they are unobtainable may they change them.
The developers don't want to have the conditions be different on different platforms, so they are doing this now.
I would like to see them make them impossible to earn in a patch, contact Sony and be like: "Yo, #########'s no good!".
So they can change the requirements to killing all 4, and then revert the change in the latest patch. 😅
-
I wish we could at least change Aura colors.
That'd help the colorblind & it won't affect gameplay, since Auras are meant to be seen.
-
Feels like a mini-basement: One way in & out.
I don't mind, as Survivor, i either fall for it once, or i find out about it beforehand.
Which i did just now in this discussion.
-
Not completely, but i guess i agree enough.
Fixing core issues will definitely make the game more enjoyable, and it'll keep those who enjoy the gameplay.
But the simple act of it being fixed isn't the only thing why people came back.
The huge Nightmare & Doctor fixes were also huge changes.
People also love new stuff, plain and simple.
I pointed out to SpaceCoconut before that the playerbase was climbing, and he pointed out it later slowly dwindled.
That was around a new chapter release.
To simplify, i'd say: New = more players, fix = keep the players.
Fixing it is a part of becoming big.
An important part that mustn't be ignored, but it's not the only piece.

Last Will.
I like being able to restrict someone an additional time.

It actually works with Plague’s corrupt purge as well.
On release IF on triggered on a basic attack but on the 3.1.0 patch (Freddy rework) they removed the basic attack stipulation so now any time the survivor is put into dying state, IF triggers. That’s why it is so good with Oni and Billy.
Yup, i figured that out earlier.

It clearly due to Oni having the power of anime and god on his side.
To be more serious. I took a moment to look it up and it seems, they did removed the need for it to be a basic attack for Fright awhile ago, so Fright can trigger from any attack that puts a survivor into the dying state. Which happen back in patch 3.1.0, which is also news to me. So it seems the description for the perk is out dated.
I see, i see.
Very cool then! 😊

Yes, it works with the one shot move with the club. Here is a video of it in action. Just let it run for a few seconds and you will see the healthy person goes down in one hit and Fright goes off.
Okay.
Well good for Oni i guess, just seems odd to me that it functions.

Yes. It one of the reason why it often pair up with Monitor and abuse on Oni. Have not played Oni with the new update but as long as nothing has changed, it should still work with his club.
Oh wait, so it works with his club, but does it work with his club if you do the 1-hit moves with his club?
Sorry for asking, but IF says it needs basic attacks, so i was curious.
-
I like the fact that Wraith hasn't been voted for yet.
Thanks, Tru3. 😜

I’ll make this as short as I can.
Oni stomps Billy when his power is up. His power is way stronger due to the fact that he can slug easier with Infectious Freight, he has a 90° flick, is WAY easier to turn and control, and does not bump into objects.
Billy is more consistent because he can always use his power but at pallet loops he is much more abusable and good survivors will deny him a chainsaw at any chance they get. He can also slug with Infectious Freight but it won’t be as quick or as easy as Oni (against good survivors).
Of course all of this is different with add-ons. Topknot and Carburetor Tuning Guide are STUPIDLY strong add-ons.
Oni is better when his power is up but Billy is more consistent.
I wouldn’t put one above the other both are #4 and #5 on my personal tier list.
Wait, does IF work with his club?

Treatment Theatre is especially rude to my FPS, it can drop a good 10 on that one.

Good luck finding them this long after release.
Thank you. 😊

I thought everybody already had this figured out: He's Billy but his power needs to charge up and he's much better with maneuverability and in chase. Billy's a bit better because Oni gets hurt a lot in the early game.
I figured there might be people who think otherwise.

Aren't you special 🤗
Honestly finding bones is way better than pumping gens
Want to hear more?
After 4 years, i still don't mind being on Generators mostly.
I do recognize it can be very boring, and won't protest against making Survivor gameplay more diverse.
Just that i don't personally mind the current state of their gameplay.
-
Playing both sides, i like it as Survivor & dislike it as Killer.
Killer's reason: It's a late-game Perk. I don't like those.
Survivor's reason: I like trying to find all.
Huh, i guess i'm pretty much the opposite of pretty much everyone in this Perk's regard. 😋
-
I don't mind expressing my gratitude, but that's not really what the forums are for.
Besides, i like the idea that i show my appreciation by still playing regularly after almost 4 years.

This is intended. They want you to think "oh, I didn't actually get a reward. But I would have if I bought the Pass!"
I know it's the point, but it doesn't work on me.
I liked 1 thing on the last Rift, but i didn't buy a pass for that one either.
-
Paint Thinner.
Considering my success with Dream Pallets, i gotta vote for it.

The ironic part is that it has the opposite effect on me.
I'm more willing to part with my money by supporting a good service that I feel respects me as a customer than one which tries to nickle and dime and manipulate me around every corner.
Their loss.
That's fine, i'm more of a: If i like it, i get it.
-
Welp, just completed it using Doctor & Iridescent Queen.
-
Ssssssssort of?
There are SKILL Checks, hurr durr.
Also: Holy moly, did i have to lower the volume there.

It's kind of icky and annoying but that's how Battle Passes get people to buy them. Essentially constantly tempt them with "look at all this cool stuff you would get! Don't you want to be cool like all the cool people with the cool stuff of coolness?"
You won't get that stuff, BP or not.
I know what you mean, but putting BP in the free track wouldn't remove the intentional temptation of the paid track.
-
Okay, thanks y'all!

Like others said: Like you said: It's boring.
I mostly dislike being bored.

Finally someone has the guts to call wraith out on his bullshit. My personal nerf idea is he has to pass a skillcheck when cloaking or uncloaking and if he fails he drops the bell on his foot and dies
Lol, his brain is on his foot.
-
Disliking the tactic?
-
Last match, my Wailing Bell sounded really weird.
I think i could best describe it as: Multiple Wailing Bells rang in perfect sync.
And of course, there's the bug that he uncloaks a lot slower and cloaks a little bit slower.
As for Bone Clapper doing anything unintended, i don't know.

They changed something that didn't affect gameplay at all when that work could have been put into something that could have affected it
There's quite a lot of changes and fixes with each patch.
I don't see how not making Offerings smaller would've made it so there's enough time to have them work on a change to the struggle phase.
I don't think their resources & available time are an issue towards struggle phase changes.

Lmao yeeeaah come on stop defending these devs. They don't change what the community wants changed and change stuff noone asked for.
Okay, thanks for that opinion.
-
I love more people.
But i would like to take a moment to say: Maybe there's a big wave of people who came back from (quitting/a break) to see the new Rift.
-
@Hoodied said:

Its a rough example on what that change could have been put into
I'm not sure i understand what you're saying here.
-
There's nothing for best boi Philip, so i'm not very interested.
Even moreso, the final Charm, to me, is the worst looking one so far.
I'm not really criticising this Rift in general, but on a personal level, i'm not going to care about the Rift for 2 months.
-
I guess the confusion started at the very first word.
"Survive" could mean both things in this case: Just stay alive or escape.
In this case, it was the former.
-
I'm pretty sure changing struggle phase wasn't sacrificed so Offerings could be made smaller.
