comes after the first 100-200 hours. you'll get addicted and then, depending on you, after a few more hours or a few thousand hours, you'll stop caring and rarely play when a new patch is released. i know some people are still in the addiction phase after 6k hours, so good luck

I wouldn't still be here if I didn't enjoy it. Yeah there's some parts of it that are bad and need work, but... there's new interesting content and they are getting around to fixing bad perks now which is great. In my opinion overall the game is going in the right direction.
Honestly if you aren't enjoying the game... stop playing. Your time and attention is too precious to spend it on things you don't like. If you don't like the game, I would strongly recommend finding a game or hobby you do like and spend time with that.
I mean don't get me wrong I like this game, it can just be so frustrating at times, and as a killer main survivors can be real douchebags

Its the only solid game of its kind. There is no other solid competitor and we know that. So you stay here, but are frustrated with various aspects, but feel as if there is nothing you can do. So it is a cycle.

It isn't you. It's a Survivor Sided Issue.
Survivors are wired in the brain to focus on generators, and getting people off hooks and maybe healing. If you are lucky, they do a totem. The traps add a whole nothing level like no other Killer in the game. It's a complete distraction that many Survivors simply do not know how to deal with, and they panic.
The other night I thought was pretty damn slick. Got my generators, me and one other girl were the last two alive, I ran for the exit and the active hat killed me at the door cause I forgot. My own dumb fault.
Pig actively requires Survivors to unlearn certain things and behave differently, and some can't handle it.
