That's nice. Most (if not all) of my matches have been sweaty since MMR.

Not every match is a "toxic SWF abusing broken stuff".

That's an excuse. Nobody likes losing or getting t-bagged, I get it but saying every match is "broken stuff, map offering, DH spam and toxic SWF" is wrong.

Not really. It depends on the time of day. During evening there are more players and you get a more "normal" playing experience. Play during the day and its only sweatlords around.

OP can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they're saying they want to be able to kick an already regressing generator. I think they're saying that second-chance survivor perks shouldn't stack, and they're making a point that there's precedent for it because a lot of killer perks don't play well together.

nah there is no controversy since survivors just have to be better than killers at everything according to the devs.

  • @ProfSinful said:

Uhh I think you just need to get used to it because I play the game on 3200 dpi at 60% in game sensitivity and I'm a pretty much an arm-aimer.

    That is not arm-aiming.

how many times does your character spin around if you move your mouse from one end of the mousemat to the other?

Also, this is the suggestions forum so let me do my suggestion in peace please instead of saying things like "we dont need this".

For me, My character spins around 3 and 3/4s times if I move my mouse from left end of mousemat to the right. This is on 800 dpi and 5% sensitivity. The number should be closer to 1,5.

ps. It would also be great if I could start a custom game without survivors so I could test these things out without killing my ranking.

sounds like another bad nurse player making this comment tbh

Oh look! sounds like another ad hominem argument on the forums.

  • "One goal for the team is to explore new ways to keep the player experience, for both new players and veterans, fresh and fun."

Yeah.... Considering they have been doing the exact opposite for two years running, theres not much hope left.

Spirit nerf was too much but nurse is still OP and needs total rework. She should be like oni at start normal m1 killer and then she has to earn her power.

There is no way to make a m1 killer out of someone who runs slower than the survivors. To play her, you must utilize the blink absolutely perfectly, which is too much to ask most of the time against experienced survivor SWFs, where you need to teleport merely to patrol the gens.

There needs to be some other balancing factors added to her and blink improved. OR make her speed to be the standard speed of 4.6. Then it would matter less what the blink is like.

Spirit nerf just similarly showcases how inept the devs are at developing their own game. She runs faster from point A to point B on foot instead of standing still to charge the phase and then phase from A to B. That is just ludicrously bad. Because she can't even CATCH the survivors with the phase, its utterly useless for mindgaming the survivors now, which was the fun part of playing her earlier.

Devs seriously have no clue anymore. They probably put the guy from accounting on the job to balance the killers.

ps. The worst part is that the game continues to be develop around the idea of "letting the survivors do what they want" which is just run around like chicken without a care in the world (they should be slaughtered for doing that). We should go back to the days where survivors actually had to hide from the killer to survive.

  • @colley94 said:

I'm probably missing something, is it an inside joke? Have stopped playing as nurse since winning every game is not fun.

Is it fun to play against nurse? It doesn't seem to be?

The point is that Behaviour caved in to the entitled survivor brats and nerfed her to the ground. She is just unplayable now.

This same formula repeats in history. Whenever there is a cool and strong killer that is actually enjoyable to play, the devs eventually nerf it to unplayability. They did the same to Spirit. Her ability is now pointless.

I am currently actually enjoying playing Sadako, but Im sure devs will nerf her as well. Since its not allowed to have fun in this game.

  • @Hannacia said:

Yeah. You get eather potatoes that you 4k easily at 5 gens or you get death squad that uses map offerings and runs you for 5 gens.

I feel like im a horrible killer sometimes but then i watch killers that have 3000 hours more than me in the game struggling the same against these squads and i feel little better.

Survivor pandering in this game is absurd. Games are also too fast-paced and killer spends what little time they have running themselves ragged in a vain attempt to catch anybody at all. Survivors don't fear the killer since they have nothing to fear. They can just shake their ass in front of the killer for no repercussions. Not even camping works anymore. And just like in every game ever, survivors keep thinking they are skilled when they are abusing their OP abilities and game state.

News about Sadako made me return to check whats what, since Sadako is a favorite of mine and someone I always wanted to play as. I installed, and 4 games later I uninstalled. Devs can keep this steaming pile of un-fun manure.

  • Corrupt intervention (plague) blocks 3 gens for 1-2 mins at the start of the match. Im not saying its good, but its there.

  • No. Because either survivors are noobs or they always gen rush. You cant get "more" from always.

  • Survivors want everything nerfed and then they are going to cry that the game is boring or the queue takes too long (when there are no killers)

  • @The_Meh_Teh said:

    Thank you.

I think I've seen one of these glowing totems behind a wall. Any idea how to get to it as a survivor to destroy it?

Get around the wall? They are always interactable..

  • Hex is a perk that is only active when its associated totem is still standing.

A totem is a sort of... pile of sticks and skulls. Multiple totems exist on every map always, but the ones that have a perk associated with them are glowing. Below is a pic of a glowing totem. As a survivor you can dismantle a totem by interacting with it.

    The_Hags_totem.jpg

In other words: killers Hex perk is a perk that survivors can disable by taking down the totem. The totem spawns are more or less random and can sometimes be hidden pretty well, sometimes not.

ps. Only the killer has Hex perks, if that wasn't obvious.

  • Selfheal is probably important for those soloplayers, and its not the reason why gens get done too quickly. Im fine with it existing.

  • You know what? For the first time in three years, I am uninstalling this game. I hope the devs are happy. Im done. Bye.

That is where you are totally wrong, people do not know yet that all you have to do is keep running. So unless a nurse comes at you with range addons she will not catch up. No worries i 4ked alot with nurse this weekend in red ranks. People don't know that it is just that easy as soon as they do, there literally is nothing a nurse can do.

They will eventually. People eventually got good at mindgames vs the nurse in my opinion. Good enough for me to drop her and move to spirit which is way more fun as she can actually run.

  • Whosoever dev thought that making a killer that cannot catch survivors by running, and cannot catch survivors by using her power, was a good idea? I didnt play nurse for a really long time because people got too good playing against her. It was too hard even before the nerf, now I have zero chance.

I play exclusively killer, and I think Im about to write this game off. Only spirit is remotely fun to play, inasmuch as this game ever can be. The endtimes are near.

Let me try to explain you this, even tho i think, it should be super obvious. Still, people completly ignore that fact:

I am aware of your advises your gave us, and so are you. So you know that i know how to run a spirit. I know that you know that i know how to run a spirit aswell and you know that aswell. How to mindgame that?

For example, should i vault the window? The spirit knows about that many surivor simply quiet slow vault back after they fastvault the window. And the Survivor knows that the Spirit knows. Whats the right joice here?

You guessed it, there is no right pick. It is fliping a coin. All the jukes you can make can be predicted by the spirit, no matter how creative you are. An no juke is really better then the other, it is only hoping, that the Spirit is either over or underestimating you .

I for example try to mix up as much as possible, to stay completly unpredictable. I even just stand at the spot where i stoped sprinting, or just keep running no matter what. And then i try very creative jukes, that are "hard to expect". Still, it wont help me really.

What do you think "mindgame" means? Obviously it doesn't mean there is one only one correct choice, because then there would be no mind game, right?

Besides, I literally JUST wrote that running to the window is bad. The point is that if you do not know which direction the spirit is coming, the whole vault is a bad idea. The window is a spot that spirit can see while phasing, and can go straight at it with the often correct prediction that survivor is in its close proximity. Therefore the survivor should run AWAY from the vault altogether, which kind of is what I wrote with my previous post.

Survivor should always assume that the spirit has seen you from a distance and is phasing straight at you. Your best bet is to, during the time that the spirit cant see you, move in an unexpected fashion, away from obvious vaults and pallets.

  • @xEa said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/807698#Comment_807698

Brainless survivors are bad at coin tosses. Who would've thunk.

Very absurd to assume, you have any control of mind gaming vs a good spirit. I mean.. how? There is really only one way to actually "know what to do" and that is when you know the guy who plays her. And this guy has to be very uncreative aswell...

Please stop pretending you can "outsmart" her, it is purly random. I dont see much difference between playing on R1 or on R10 when i play Spirit.

Dont get me wrong, the spirit is still not in the worst shape, but there has to be some changes, especially prayer beads and collision.

Ok as a spirit main, I am going to explain what is wrong with most people who play against my spirit:

They do exact same things and run exact same routes as they do vs other killers. In other words, they are extremely predictable, letting me phase to them and hit. It doesn't matter if they are invisible if I can reliably guess where they will be.

It is lunacy to sit and selfheal at a pallet vs a spirit who can just zoom next to you and strike before you have a chance to react. It is stupid to run around a pallet loop vs a spirit that can phase, speedrun against you and bump into you, getting a free hit. Majority of survivors will always run around the map along its edge. All I have to guess is the direction.

Bumping into people only matters if spirit can guess where you are, and they don't need to guess when survivors run the exact same way every time. I dont play at high ranks, but at my own rank thats how it is. The idea of adjusting your playstyle depending who you are up against seems alien to most survivors I play against.

What they SHOULD do is run diagonally opposite to what they would normally run when they hear the phasing sound. Run into the open, not behind jungle gyms. Don't run to the window/pallet, run away from it. Sure, Spirits can hear you, but you don't need to gain much distance until they can't.

Survivors are bad at mindgames because indeed, they arent using any mindgames. Spirit is "OP" simply because you cannot use the same old playstyle against her. Adapt.

Because you end up removing alot of matches where people DC because they got stomped. Run a killer for 5 gens and 5 ft away from a 4 man escape? Would sure be a shame if the killer DCes right now and nullifies it... Same goes the other way around.

It makes no sense DCing after you get stomped, at that point you can just suicide on hook. No, these people are DCing at the beginning of match, after they get first downed or even earlier.

Cause finding a survivor doesn't really matter, so you get less points.

Ive got no idea what you are saying here. Did you even read the topic post?

  • Brainless survivors are bad at mind games. Who would've thunk.

  • @MrDardon said:

The numbers are percents, not how often you did something

Finding one percent of survivors makes no sense either. Not to mention it is factually wrong, as I found all survivors and downed them all on pretty much first chase.

It's sad because I was expecting the lore to be more well polished since they were adding it directly in game as story.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/804103#Comment_804103

I know, it's gonna be disappointing. I was hoping to hear the characters actually speak for once.

To be honest, this game never had much of a lore.

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

No duh, because Survivors are weaponizeing the DCs you absolutely refuse to address, AGAIN, Devs!

Every single Survivor match I've had against today Spirit has had at least one DC or intentional suicide because they know you will continue to reward this behavior instead of learning how to play against her.

I get intentional DCs at lowranks (rank 15-16) playing crap like Pig or Plague... There sure are a lot of DCs these days. These are intentional DCs since they DC in my grasp after Ive downed them.

  • @Crazy_John said:

Those are not actually listed as number of chases. While the Survivors Found is indeed the number, the Survivors Hit and Chases Won is a Percentile. Showing how much of the bar for the emblems is attributed to those actions.

Well, why don't they write that its a percentile..

I obviously found more than one since I sacrificed THREE of them and downed the the fourth so they disconnected intentionally..

Here is the screenshot of the player screen of the same match:

    one2.jpg

In this match, I found only one survivor? What da heck?

  • But the main thing that bugs me is this "only one survivor found but three sacrificed (and fourth one disconnected after I downed them second time). How does this make sense?

  • Nurse is nowhere near as good as she used to be. She kinda sucks now since she needed the blink without cooldown to cross the map in time to have any chance vs gen rushing.

  • @MalEducado said:

You don't understand anything, when wraith play as a invisibility mode, he can see me but I can't see it... This is unfair ,obsesion objects have to disable when I can't see him, I know that object of obsesion we can see both at the same time , killer can see me and try to hook me, he have a BBQ & chilli all the match, in me ... Why anybody not use ob-of-ob?cause the killer can see you ...

All aura perks are unfair to begin with. In both directions. But I daresay they always benefit survivors better, since survivors can be in SWF voice chat.

Lol Stray Sheep left PS4 and joined PC.

These challenges are just too difficult. They can't expect us to complete these.

But on the other hand, are they time-limited?

EDIT: Looking at the wording, I think its obvious that it doesn't have to be within a single match.

  • Why should I care about this "rift" or archives even? I have seen nothing that would matter in any way..

Could be wrong but from preliminary math, it looks like Nurse will actually be stunned for long enough that Survivors will be able to run outside of her maximum blink range.

    Pretty much.

ps Legion is garbage and really unfun to play. Just like Nurse is going to end up.

  • I strongly dislike all halloween skins. The bright orange pumpkin juice is loathsome for the wrong reasons.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

    Preach.

But seriously, the map design is horrendous in this game. Anyone who isn't biased can see that.

The devs need to revisit the more "balanced" maps and study all the details that made those maps more balanced.

New maps have been visually great, and functionally horrendous for a long while. They continue being extremely survivor sided.

Am I the only one who thinks new ds is far better than old ds because atleast we could punish bad unhooks and atleast we could juggle the person to the hook now basically u have 60 second immunity whether u are getting tunneled or trying to fk with killer by just going into locker infront of him

I'm a killer main and I think the new DS is much better than the old one. If I run into it, its mostly because I lost track of who I had hooked.

    1. Spirit
    2. Legion, Huntress, Nurse
    3. (occasionally trying to make work) Pig, Demogorgon, Plague, Freddy, Hag
    4. The rest: mostly for dailies

    Never played: Leatherface, Myers, Wraith

  • Honestly the halloween pumpkin-juice skins were really ugly in my opinion.

I think its mainly about color... I just dislike bright orange in DBD.

  • No. The opposite: mori might help me deal with an otherwise difficult to deal with SWF group. Not always though.

  • I was told it is a bug with dying light, did you have that perk?

  • No, its not the only change he needs, but its nice that devs listened.

  • Do you have LF bodypillow too?

  • Mad props for playing this killer that long.

I wouldnt touch Leatherface with a 10-foot pole.

  • I dont think the people in entity realm actually died, I personally think that Entity just snatched those people out of their own world before they died. Don't all origin stories involve disappearances?

The entity realm is a nightmare realm where normal things dont apply imo. Like virtual reality. :P

  • @SquidFacedMan said:

What is the purpose of rank reset exactly? I can see it happening after a significant patch for example but I don't understand the point in it being a monthly thing.

IN THEORY rank reset is supposed to keep you playing the game, so you maintain the rank you are at. In other words, its got nothing to do with your skill or fun or gameplay. Its an incentive to make you play more.

Is there any single PLAYER here who thinks this is a good idea?

  • I agree totally. Rank resets are stupid for anyone who does not play regularly, like me. I just can't be arsed to grind my way to the rank I probably belong.

Rank reset/decay is always stupid in any competivive game ever made. Its not like people lose their skills magically if they take a break from the game. Even Overwatch is moving away from rank decay (thumbs up for that).

  • The biggest issue I have with Pig is that patrolling the map while crouched is too slow, and doesn't really give much any advantage against SWF who will spot you anyway. So buff to crouched walking speed would be my main request.
