Putting the tape in the VCR even faster now? One thing I always hated with Sadoko putting a tape in should never be faster than a M1 cool down. Survivor should always be the one to go down if they try to do it in the killer's face.

Really, BHVR?
Really?
Freddy makes sense being disabled having the dream world affect, but I'm seeing Wesker and Pinhead are also kill switched? What's wrong with those 2?
-
The flame turrets are fine as the are. They're meant to delay Xeno not shut em down so hard like EMPs do against the robot killer. They also act as motion sensor to give you an idea where she is and when she pops out of a tunnel. Buffing the turrets further will make them too strong for what they provide.
I'm probably one of the few Xeno players that likes getting burned and knocked out of power. With the 2 add ons cat carrier and Ripley watch auto destroys the turrent and give Xeno undetectable for 30 seconds. 2 things I've also noticed survivors always run around a wall when it happens so you just vanish or left Ave is always bad for them when they don't have sight on a stealthy killer. She also surprisingly quiet when she is undetectable.

Not even close, nemsis whip is far more dangerous than xenos tail, and survivors cant take it away unlike xenos tail. And slinger, mate slinger outclasses both xeno and nemesis in time to down every day of the week. You do not need mobility as slinger if you are ending chases in less than 30 seconds, something xeno should not be able to do if her opponents have more than 40 hours of playtime.
Nemesis whip being far more dangerous than Xeno tail? Really need to clarify how? No matter how i look at it Nemesis whip is inferior nearly in every way and overall weaker killer. Primarily cause Nemesis the only killer in the game that you have to hit them 3 times to down them. Infection, injured then a down. If the survivors use the med spray then 3 hits again. Time is just far too valuable for killers landing 3 hits only gives survivors more time for their objective.
For Death Slinger he has far more range than Xeno does, but still have to reel the target in for a down. I just don't like him not really ever a reason to play him when Huntress is just far better.
-
Turning on the visual heartbeat makes it a bit easier not that difficult for a challenge. You ever tried the tome 1 challenge "Stun the killer WITH A PALLET 4 times in a single match!"
It's unbelievably hard.
-
I say he should get the treatment that Pyramid Head got few years ago. DeathSlinger has his old ADS speed back. BUT, if he doesn't fire and lowers his gun is a long cool down. That way can keep the quick ADS, but makes it so can't just spam it for zoning.
Miss playing the cowboy just never fun since those nerfs.
-
Xeno did had a really high pick rate when first released. Problem thought Xeno tail had a bug where the CD was too short. They not only fixed the bug they also nerfed it the same time so popularity did took a big hit after that.
-
I really don't think survivors need even more hand holding mechanics.

It is not. Only things that cause an instant 2.5% regression or more (not counting Survivors missing skill checks) count as a regression event. Since Ruin has no instant regression and only gradually removes progress, it does not count as a regression event.
How would this work with skill check regression perks such as Hex Lullaby, Merciless Storm, Oppression, etc? With the survivor failing checks due to a perk would the perk still do the extra regress or would those be locked out after 8 times on a gen?
-
Lot of things they can add. Banners, charms, different mori, chase music, voice lines, emotes, list can go on and on. IDK why BVHR not doing them since it can easily net them a lot of extra money.
-
Never heard of DD. Do know the lore of FNAF though and it's a really good story. My vote would be FNAF.
-
Meanwhile poor Knight unfortunately has to be left out of the DBD new years party until he comes back next month. Sadge
-
Add ons are long over due for changing.
Basekit the only change I see is have his power work on an ammo system like huntress and trickster. Can't just keep pulling those syringes out of no where.
-
I enjoy playing vs Xeno, rare to see though. Seeing a lot of survivors dating they hate anti loop killers like Nemesis, Trickster, Xeno, etc. Really rather have slow trash M1 killers to eat every pallet? Clear reason why they're not picked that often just being miserable to play as.
-
This isn't real life though, it's just a digital online game with a ToS agreement we have to accept to play the game that BHVR owns and even they have their part they must uphold.
Knight main myself it's still disappointing having to wait for a fix which probably won't be until early/mid January due to the holidays.

"right there"
looks at the second picture
2nd pic doesn't show anything. Killer even still there? Where Kate and the Meg bot? camping hook waiting for the killer to just walk away?
-
Looks to be working as intended. Why should the killer leave the hook if your right there? No survivor deserves a free unhook. Even if a killer is right next to a hook the progress will still be greatly slowed if another survivor is nearby to prevent survivors from abusing it. In a different version of this test few years ago survivors abused the hell out of it. The grace period is there for the killer to not screw them over (ever played the PTB?) gives them a chance to kick a gen/pallet or reload at a locker and then leave without the bar filling up to %70 before the killer even has a chance to leave. Slowed down on different floors cause on certain maps like The Game, RPD, Silent Hill the killer player would get easily screwed over and be a free unhook.
It's an anti-FACE camp measure, not an anti-proxy camp or anti-spell camp. (Hag, Trapper, Singularity, etc)
Still need to keep the killer player base in consideration. How to keep a game mechanic fair and not abuseable for both sides.
-
Really depends on if killers get their powers or not.
Double doctors to make them go insane.
2 knights = 4 killers chasing someone
Legion hit and run party
It's gonna be a such a fun mess

I guess this is so hard to do. They can't nerf SWFs. So someone need to boost kill-rates which means why solo survivors are here. It's not surprise there is 15% escape difference between Solo-q & SWFs, at least this was last stat we got from them. And i doubt this changed so much.
Like how hard is it to add feature like that:
Mobile phone version has something like this since 2 years ago. I would love to have this feature in the base game as well, but have an anonymous mode of sort to keep my perks hidden if I don't want them seeing w/e stupid build I'm running.

What did Otz say?
He has a vid up. Very simply BHVR seems to have no ambitions or passion for this game anymore.
AMA any game play Qs are the pitiful "on our radar" "no plans" blah, blah, blah super vague answers. Any Qs about skins or monetization had better thought out answers from them.
These AMA are doing far more harm for BHVR with their community than it helping them.
-
There's no way for the system to tell if it was a crash, a D/C or you just pulling the plug so the system just had to treat it all the same. If your connection really is that unstable you should get your network fixed.
And look maybe pick up something else like surfing or something dude? omg reading that post got the accent from those 2 Bill and Ted Bogus movie stuck in my head.
-
Bar fills up much slower if there's a survivor nearby or if the killer is on a different floor to prevent abuse or getting screwed over on certain maps. It's an anti-FACE camp mechanic not an anti camp for free escape if the killer just happens to be nearby.
-
I enjoy strategy games which translate to my preferred killers. Artist and Knight I enjoy the most though Knight can really use some QoL improvements. Wesker doesn't have much strategy to him, but he's fun and fair for both sides. The robot killer can also be fun, but he requires way too much fast thought processing and quick actions so I burn out playing the robot rather quickly.
As long as it's not a sweaty/strong player that's using Blight or Nurse I don't mind the killer i play against. I find Myers with both iri add ons to instant kill really fun as no other killer is able to straight up murder you. Ghostface with iri mori also fun as I try to photo bomb him every time. 🤣
-
Guessing either original survivors for this story or the original 4 survivors Dwight, Meg, Cladette and Jake? In a cave getting hunted by the entity and Trapper is the killer.
-
I'll open the door every time. There really is no correct way of leaving the door, I'm positive I've seen more players hating the exit gates being left at 99%. Gotten myself or seen others killed many times because someone left the gates at 99% cause they were forced to stop for that 1%. Once EGC starts the timer count downs more slowly when someone is downed or on hook which should give you plenty of time to heal up, go for the unhook, and escape.
Every player had their own PoV about it. This might be a team game for some, but for me the so called team mates are a useful convenience to have in this every survivor for themselves game.
-
There was another thing I noticed for the first time after match during the post screen Skull Merchant i was hearing what sounded like breathing. I've never heard her breath before and shortly later playing as survivor I was in a match against another SM, but couldn't hear any breathing from her. So I'm not sure what's suppose to going on then? 🤔
-
Sweaty Nurse and Blight that are good with them. Too often they just dominate the match getting multiple hooks by the time it takes just to get 1 or 2 gens done. It's a doomed match and go off myself on hook and go next. If they're more casual or potatoes even it's more enjoyable.
Also Chucky don't have that much time to play but since his release so far I've seen 1 Wesker, 2 Skull Merchants and nothing else except Chucky. There's plenty of other killers would like to stop seeing Chucky every single game already.
-
Having a banner for every character in the game be a neat start. A basic character banner for getting prestige 10 and a really flashy version at prestige 100. They cities easily be mass produced like charms just have a banner of everything.
-
Only nerf I can see happening with FtP and BU is having the endurance on BU be greatly reduced to just 3-5 seconds down from 10 OR the better change imo is have endurance be applied only to the survivor that's been picked up off from the ground and not the survivor that used the combo. So can still be used to save a down team mate while getting yourself downed and hooked instead.
-
Those que times listed for survivor or killer?
I haven't played killer yet since Chucky release only survivor. Late evening is always been %100 incentive for survivor with que times being incredibly short.
-
NO, way back survivors weaponized the hell out of those perks for the immunity they had. If anything DS could have is 5 second stun back since 3 seconds is a joke.
-
It's recycled. A really old code that was shared already long time ago.
-
I'm not liking Chucky just really annoying to go against. A very small character with a stealth and a power similar to Blight without the wall bouncing and Aalborg ignore pallets. Where I'm seeing his potential gonna be very high up in the list in either high A or low S.
-
As annoying as it is and much as I don't like it either I always thought it should be fine to have survivors sit on the gen for at least 1 seconds or even just .5 to get the gen to stop regressing at least so that can't just tap it during chase.
-
Left for Dead.
Took me a couple of days and finally managed to get it on The Game vs a Spirit that had NOED. Was nearly spotted at the end but she just missed and I had 2 perks that made opening the gate really fast.
-
It's something I really enjoy myself, but there's been several occasions where I stand right next to the pallet and it just wouldn't prompt to let me place it while the killer was still stunned. Then the killer just breaks the pallet and I get screwed cause game denied me the CT placement.
-
I don't have problems with Xeno. Turrets serve 3 things that's helps survivors. It has a motion sensor alerting you if Xeno is nearby doesn't matter if she's underground or undetectable once it starts beeping fast get running you got a head start. When it does turn off briefly that means Xeno came out of a tunnel somewhere. When Xeno does get burned the killer must decide to be hindered, break it giving you distance or lose crawler mode. Going back into a tunnel just means the killer gave up on chase so congrats.
Her tail I've noticed it really hard to tail strike someone at loops with constant turning around corners or the loop happens to be mostly a circle. Her tail can't turn left or right like Nemesis whip can so don't ever want to run in a straight line or your gonna be easy to strike. Her wind up may be the fastest compared to the others, but it's still there. Try not to vault early and bait it out.
-
I think it's fine as is. Really only a problem on Nurse and Blight, but that's a killer problem not a perk problem. Having a survivor scream the weakest form of information for the killer gives the survivor a head start to start running. The perk does nothing for the chase other than the blindness.
I really don't understand why others keep calling it OP I've rarely even seen it myself when I play survivor. Only time I've really seen this perk was vs a Huntress and since she has the smallest terror radius in the game she didn't need to go far to find me.
-
I play PC so take mine lightly. Maybe double check the settings and see if anonymous mode is on or not since that hides player names? Is the player named replaced with the characters names or is it completely blank?
-
Best idea possible to encourage survivors to stall on gens is give them a real secondary objective that they could do. Tools they could find to build pallets, breakable walls or break said walls. Maybe have a switch that could open up parts of the map like how The Game or Hawkins Lab have doors open up when complete a gen. Xeno map even has a switch that triggers a motion sensor trap that slows down who ever runs through it.
-
The Alien map had a small killer shack like building in the far corner. For RPD I would say the main hall that 2 gens can spawn it's such a high priority place for both sides.
-
Try playing vs Chucky on cowboys map where all the tall grass everywhere is basically a fortnight bush where he can hide very easily in. Played with a steamer yesterday on that map couldn't track Chucky at all once he use the hidy hoe power. It was miserable.... I loved it lol.
-
Really need to clarify what's going on cause 30min is diffently not normal. PTB? Crossplay off?
-
@Mandy said:
His capsule model is that of a survivor so he doesn't have the same size capsule as a regular killer - so yes he can definitely hug things closer than any other killer.
M1 attack hit box animation still the same as all other killers? Might have another Freddy incident with Chucky being able to hit over short walls despite being so short that the animation and character model looks as though he shouldn't be able to.
-
I know of Chucky being a big classic horror, but I've never seen any of his movies or know anything of him. Still though still give big congrats to BVHR.
1) they some how managed to get a doll that's even smaller than Victor to work in DBD.
2( They really kept their stuff locked up really tightly this time to prevent any data miners from finding any info on this chapter.
-
Has to be 3rd person view of it was first person you won't be seeing over any walls and get lost to easily in any tall grass.
-
@FreakPrince said:

I don't know about his power, but he definitely plays in 3rd person, which is something.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F-aWSp4bYAAc6gf?format=jpg&name=medium
Makes sense Chucky has to have a 3rd person view to just play. Being almost the size of Victor or smaller even it'll be too easy just to get lost in tall grass.
That IGN post also mentioned a Spirit helping out Chucky so maybe this Spirit will fill in the role for certain animation that chucky needs, but can't have due to his tiny size. Like hooking survivors and smashing walls?
-
They should've added a few more voice lines. Have Naughty Bear go BOOO when he finds a survivor inside a locker and have the narrator say something at the end c game screen depending on how many kills you got.
I would rather avoid another character like Wesker that just won't shut up.
-
Not that hard. It's rather easy to get a full bar, but finding the time to go in the tricky part, so just go in the moment you see them open and you can just claim all 4.
