he reminds vaguely of how old legion felt:
in 1v4 he’s pretty weak
in 1v1 he can feel oppressive without much you can do other than hope the killer is bad
-
Shes a literal m1 killer if nobody is scared and understands how to play injured
-
meh, only one of those perks thats worth it is Kindred, and for solo information only
-
but it's impossible to know if STBFL is going to be used, and DS and Nemesis obsession swap
so ehh
-
Resilience, Spine Chill, Dead Hard, Decisive
Learn to loop or go home

" I am a believer that Killers in general are unable to be toxic
Survivors are much more able to be toxic than Killers as everything a Killer does can be countered by competent Survivors.
Feel free to change my mind, but doubt you could."
you are clearly 12 and just want attention through baiting lol

I'm a survivor main but I also played killer at rank 1, so my view on the game is quite balanced.
I only came back to playing DBD after not playing since mid March. The map changes were needed, as there were certain god loops that shouldn't have been in the game. It doesn't take skill to loop to be able to loop the old god loops. It made certain maps incredibly frustrating as killer.
One of the most important things to learn as survivor is being able to plan your chase route. So if the killer spots you, you already know where you're going to run to. If you end in a dead zone, unless the dead zone was created due to pallet wastage then it's your mistake for ending up in that dead zone.
I am aware of the glitch where pallets don't spawn.
Im also rank 1 both sides, tbh rank is meaningless
This isn't a discussion about avoiding deadzones, its about replacing them with more unsafe loops. Thompson House for instance, before it had multiple safe loops connected and felt unfair for killer, now it has about 2 safe loops connected then nothingness for several tiles where you are going to get hit. Instead of balancing the map, the scales are being forced to the other direction.

I don't get it... don't survivors have 360 at their disposal.... that bullshit has saved me so many times in dead zones its not even funny. Or are they just lazy...
360s are a gimmick lmao

I mean, idk who to feel sympathy for
The killer who got blendette’d, or the people who had a great deal of fun being face camped then DCd on
-
just try harder 4head
-
- self caring = farmed to death
- waste shack pallet = farmed to death
-
If I started now, here’s what I would find:
An abysmally long grind to even level a single character.
A masochistically long grind to unlock teachables of all characters.
Another grind to level other characters.
A cash shop for cosmetics.
No rank reward system to work towards.
A Battlepass.
A matchmaking system that makes no sense.
Queues that last long enough to cook lunch.
A plethora of DLC with Many core perks being Soft Locked behind said DLC.
And that’s before even getting into the gameplay and bugs.
so no, I’d refund it lmao

Please explain how:
-Using Sprint Burst to get out of your "deadzones." and to stronger areas when chase begins
-Using Self Care to stay healed and use your free speed boost when hit to get out of your "deadzones" and get to stronger areas
-Planning routes to know where to run and avoid "deadzones" instead of running without a plan and relying on RNG(your words in the OP)
Are not solutions?
By that logic, iron will is a “counter” to spirit, despite not knowing what killer is picked and what perks they have and instead relying on luck. Saying, “just don’t be in a dead zone 4head” is literally the joke response to most issues in this game.
If a survivor starts being chased and is in a dead zone, they are getting hit, no if, ands, or buts. I’m not a fan of maps like Ormond where 7 tiles can be connected, but having serveral tiles of trees and nothing to use at all is not good design, it just lowers the skill ceiling even more and leaves a feeling of losing due to map RNG, rather than the killer’s skill.
btw I play both at rank 1, though nowadays that is more so the standard.

Because those all take brainpower, and survivors want to be able to just hold m1 on a gen and run around the same window all game. It's why Survivors hate Doctor and Freddy so much, they actually take strategy to go against
and yet freddy can mindlessly spam snares without any risk
but do go on about "strategy" lmao

Thanks for proving my point.
I came into the thread with multiple, valid solutions to the OPs issue. Was I a bit condescending? Absolutely. Because it's been my experience that people like you dont want to hear it.
And what did you do here? Nothing except prove me right and try to derail the thread. Didnt even try to contribute.
"If only there was a perk that could let you heal at any time and be able to tank a hit and get free burst of speed.
Or a perk that give you a free head start in a chase to help you reach a safer area.
Or, you know, actually planning routes instead of blindly holding W and crying at the devs when that doesnt work.
:)"
These are not solutions to bad map design

Excellent rebuttal, you must be proud of yourself not addressing anything at all. Congrats

I don't understand what you want here. Just a map full of nothing but loops where the gens are in loops and the loops are in loops and you don't have to worry about where you are at any time because it's always a loop?
More unsafe/mindgame-able loops, not tiles of pure nothingness
-
I could go in depth about why Freddy is too strong comparatively but I think this sums it up perfectly:
no other killer can spam their power without some risk involved
-
Make moris death hook only
Have keys require a short interaction, like with opening the gate
Two simple changes that are too big brain to be added

It still can be fun and you still can win. I play both sides and as a Survivor i won multiple games where one DCt before first gen was done. Also i had more fun because it was more challenging.
With DC Compensation it would be fairer but i dont want to get the game canceled because of one DC
i mean and im rank 1 both sides but that means nothing
Imagine if in Dota you had to play out a 4v5 so the other team can still have fun, it'd be outrageous
this isnt even about fun, its about being fair

Especially then no one should DC.
I agree that it would be good to get a DC Compensation but allowing otgers to DC too is crap.
Its a 3v1 in a game meant to be a 4v1
nobody is having fun, nobody wants to play, let everyone leave and keep there stuff
I actually don't get why people are against this, its ruins the entire match so just cancel it or let people leave lmao

its also unfun if everyone DC and the Killer may wasted some good addons/offering.
and the survivors may have wasted offerings and items too but okay
-
its just bad map design
not some 400iq trap

i dont agree with allowing dcs after an initial one. But i do think as a killer main survivors who stick it out after someone cowardly abandons the team should be rewarded with not depipping. I have a ton of respect for the survivors who do stay and play even tho they know 100% they've lost.
Why should people be forced to play out an auto-loss
its not fun or fair for anyone
-
just saying, most games with DC bans have the option for a game to be safe to leave after DC 1
-
Solo is awful
at least with SWF I know who im playing with and the skill levels, with solo, i dont even get ranks anymore, i'd rather "just play a different game"
-
I expected this to be about the house of pain stair-window loop
tbh you could’ve shocked her to stop the vault or just left, this one isn’t too bad
-
"random" but right now its all perks from new tome characters
also didnt it get changed when it was too good one time?
-
except shadowlands is making a lot of good changes
so idk about this one
-
I main huntress too
I never use them, they take any challenge out of the game, make then require a distance for the insta down and I’ll be okay with them
-
i run DS because I can only trust myself in Solo Queue
-
to me pig is meh, RNG powers are gross for both sides
a good billy who doesnt rely on addons can be really fun
a freddy who spams snares and bloodlust pallets (Most freddy players tbh) is not fun
-
people accepting these options settings means they never watched TB's ######### is series
For a game currently pulling 50k+ players, its really sad how barren the options menu is
-
people in this thread acting like play toxic makes you some degenerate lol
as for 360s and such, those aren't toxic
-
I play this game for Survivor-Killer interactions
laying on the floor is not fun, its boring and I'd rather eat a ban and play something else than wait for your precious 4k
-
the deadzones are really bad tbh
-
My ears oh lord
-
Ah yes, I love gameplay where I have to crawl around on the floor
yes indeed, very fun
-
the devs call it intentional, but they also made alot of other "intentional" decisions in the past too
-
well logically with how ruin works now, people want to stay on gens even more
-
its annoying so either
a. make a macro
b. bind to scroll wheel
-
certain windows were too strong so they balanced it by making the map utter garbage
...wait
-
i like the Kate and Huntress stuff so i bought it but everything else is bad
we go from Feng having a cool Oni-style outfit to ANOTHER recolor of her default outfit
-
still waiting to see Killer Ping since it is what dictates if i still get hit through a pallet
seriously, what good is knowing other survivor ping???
-

HamletEagle basically answered it, but it's to prevent malicious modification of the ini files to gain an advantage. Unfortunately that means that other harmless tweaks, like disabling anti aliasing, are also disabled. It's not just to spite the people who prefer playing without anti aliasing.
So in that case whats the status of an actual video option menu?
this is the only game I can think of without one
-
from another thread
people defending Freddy when Trapper, Hag, Clown, Huntress, and most others all have a risk to using their power, especially in a chase/at a pallet
Spamming snares and holding W in not skill, its the game playing itself for you
-
Or adapt and learn how to face a challenge
Games should have that depth, you having a bad game means its not always easy, which is good
-
or just check around? this is not common at all
-

-
new players like to play immersed and doc counters that, whereas both are nearly non-existent at higher ranks
doc is actually pretty weak
-
Freddy needs a limit to how his snares work
being able to spam them without a reload of some sort makes Clown and Trapper look even worse
-
I'd wait till tomorrow, some of the changes were questionable at best
