Pyramid Head.
It gives you a chance to see like maybe one person's aura without being bothered.
What if the seal of metatron was buffed to show the auras of tormented survivors in a way similar to plague's iri.
That'd be scary and lore accurate, right?

Camaraderie is kind of a strange perk choice that is niche to a fault, as it requires strict teamwork and has questionable viability in many circumstances.
However, everyone HATES being face camped.
Would it be better if Camaraderie had the following effect:
(Due to popular demand, the perk has been slightly changed)
While on the hook, if the killer is closer than 16 meters and there are no other survivors within 24 meters, after an 8 second delay Entity progress is reduced by 40/60/80%
The killer is made aware of this perk's presence once it is activated.
these poll options felt kinda polarizing.
I'd be willing to try this, but I'm not over the moon or anything.
I'd say I'm in favour, though.

I agree its fun to be indirect when insulting. I like being shady and the person being completely unaware
honestly, though.
Overall though, I just try to be courteous.
I prefer to save snide remarks for specific complaints rather than just being a jerk, even if it would be deserved.

No, I am quite good at actually just insulting people. I would surely get banned if I were to share some of my more creative ones. Or the default ones, honestly... I am not a particularly nice person when someone steps up.
But bag of 🍋 sounds sour, fam. I am going to start using that one on my path to becoming a better person.
Maybe I'm just odd, but I do my best to never swear at people.
I'll swear at events on occasion, but not at people.

Huh.
I legitimately think Plague is one of the best designed killers in the game.
I think that answer was more fueled by a recent game and less by holistic game design analysis.

@StarLost said:
So, the other list.
I'm going to exclude Legion and Ghostpants here, as they are getting a rework.
- The Onryo. Man, to see this killer released after the amazing work BHVR did on Artist...weak. Of the three components of her kit, only one feels impactful (and her teleports still have a punishing cooldown, super simple counterplay and a huge RNG component). Everything else sucks. Her stealth is niche at best and Condemn is about as impactful as a pillow stuffed with marshmallows. Her addons are also a mixture of 'why isn't this baseline?' and 'why bother?' with only a few decent ones.
- The Pig. Sigh. Her rework mostly amounted to shuffling a few addons around. She is the worst of both worlds - either horribly weak or required to play incredibly scummy to win. Also a lot of 'this should be baseline?' addons, particularly those involving her ambush.
- The Cannibal. Having a killer that feels mostly built around camping...not a great idea. Meh addons, annoying audio...at least he isn't quite as craptacular as he once was, but when facecamping gets fixed he's going to need some help.
- <> Myers is just saved from this list...just. Yes, he can be a very comfortable killer to play - but his basekit is weak and horribly outdated, and aside from Vanity Mirror (which may be among my favorite addons in the game), his addons are either ungodly broken and irritating (TSP) or crap. But yeah, Spoopy Myers is a blast to play and people seem to enjoy playing against him. Until they lose.
Onryo - needs a buff.
Twins - they need some qol.
Pig - it should be "search X boxes" to get the key instead of rng.
-
3) Take a mindset that puts you more into the role of the DM for a D&D game. you're an actor and a story teller - not a protagonist.

I may just get the "classic ghostface" body cosmetic, then.

And how so many killers could be 100x better for the game with miniscule number/gameplay tweaks?
- Trapper: Traps spawn closer to the centre of the map
- Wraith: 1.25s uncloak boost (pls BHVR bring it back)
- Billy: Faster cool down on over heat
- Slinger: 0.3s ADS and wardens keys built in (not biased)
- Spirit: MDR nerf, charge time and cooldown reduction
- Artist: Increased repel time, decreased cooldowns, increased cooldown after firing.
- Pinhead: 2s longer box opening time
- Doctor: 2m more range on shock therapy
- Myers: Reduced time to get out of T1
List goes on. I would probably be a spirit main at this point if her charge speeds were reduced because I can't stand W keyers without add ons (which is ironic considering I mainly play artist, the most W keyed killer in the game).
Also can we not with overly add on dependant killers thanks I don't have the BP to run engravings every billy game when I'm leveling up birb mom.
and twins qol.

@AngyKiller said:
Way Too Angy: Pick up and throw a pallet at the Killer. This break the pallet but suns the Killer for 3/4/5% longer if it hits. "Look out! He's angy!"
Snark: Angy will snark under his breath at the Killer when he's within their TR. He gets 5/6/7% more BP for the Boldness category. "He can't keep his mouth shut, even when it's in his best interest to do so"
Percussive Maintenance: Angy can kick a generator to instantly gain 3/4/5% progress. This still alerts the Killer as if it was exploded. This can only be done once every 120 seconds. It requires a 3 second charge-up time. "He knows how to make inanimate objects work via blunt force"
these would legitimately be a lot of fun to use.
not sure about balancing the first one...

A Perkless mode....
It's simple and removes the annoying "Oh you were using X Perk(s)"
Plus it'll put the base game on blast.... Here's hoping for change
I almost went with that for realism mode, but just for survivors. I couldn't think of anything to make the game a bit more realistic for killers other than also not allowing any perks.

Bullshittery
New Karuma "GBK" Hikarii perk
You're truly excellent at talking utter nonsense to get you out of a tricky situation.
After quickly vaulting a pallet or window, dropping a pallet, or quickly exiting a locker, Bullshittery activates. For the next 3 seconds, all of your scratch marks appear in the opposite direction to where you actually ran.
Bullshittery has a cooldown of 50/45/40 seconds.
"Yeah no I totally know this, um-"
Boon: Sturdy
Years of martial arts training has really paid off, and you know how to take a beating.
While within 24m of the Boon totem, become affected by the Hindered and Exhausted status effects for 5/4/3 seconds.
While injured, become affected by the Endurance status effect.
After being hit while Endurance is active within the Boon radius, the relevant totem is immidiately snuffed and broken.
"Try again, sweetheart x"
-GBK
Hyperfixate
When something catches your attention, you need to know everything about it possible. And everyone around you should know, too.
Looking at any Prop allows you to mark it by using the Active Ability button, revealing it to all other players within the Trial. All Props within 60m of this Prop are revealed to you permanently while you're within a 60m/62m/64m range.
You never said they had to balanced, right..?
I did say to try, but these actually seem not too bad.

Be nice- if a survivor constantly teabags they break their legs, alternatively if they macro their flashlight it blows up. Either action puts them into the dying state
be nice to me- if a killer BMs or hits on the hook they get sent flying back and hit with a stun.
hmmm.
not sure about balance.

@impulse_90 said:
Exactly as the title says.
Playing killer at mid-high levels just isn't fun in any single way at all.
You have to play like a sweatlord to win a game, hell even just to down one player some of the time.
Then when you lose you get tbagged at the gate and trash talked post game chat for whatever reason.
Like are the developers of this game actually this blind to what's going on in their game?
It really is atrocious that they've allowed this game to spiral so far down this path to the point where the player numbers are starting to show a very concerning trend.
The game since last August has had a player count drop of 56% on steam (hate to think of the playercount drop on console)
This shows that players are not happy with the state of the game and most haven't been happy with the state of it well before SBMM came into play.
I think a major issue is the way the game is now played even in mid tier levels where killers tunnel and survivors either get bored of holding M1 all game on a gen or get sick of dealing with camping/tunnelling killers. Problem is camping/tunnelling is the only viable strat in the current meta because patrolling gens generally gets you nothing.
The fact that this stupid gamestyle hasn't been addressed and moreover the fact that the survivor role hasn't been tuned since release concerns me the most. They simply just keep adding more and more characters which means more and more perks and it's just digging that grave even deeper at this point.
A game should not make you even more frustrated when you reach higher levels, it should feel rewarding and give you a sense of achievement which this game currently does not. No matter what role I play it's just never ending frustration.
In summary I really do hope they turn this around because I used to have fun with the game and did like it alot once upon a time but if they allow it to continue down the path it's going well then... good riddance dbd.
I've always held the sentiment that this game is more like D&D than any other game. It shouldn't be about who wins or loses, but a group of actors with a shared love of horror playing out and experiencing horror stories.

As a general rule if they have TTV I find a better game to join. The reason is that you're going to be trolled because they're there to entertain their audience. You are acting like a rodeo clown, not being paid, while they are potentially being compensated. I don't work for free and neither should you. They will almost always be in comms with support and it is not going to be a fun or fair game.
fair point.

also enough to make Nemesis' zombies a bit competent.

In all the DH threads, survivors have most graciously pointed out that SB is so much better for them than DH.
I never realized how 70% or 80% of survivors are deliberately using an inferior perk, to give us killers a chance! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Or...wait. How many of you own monocles and Victorian fainting couches? Hold them tight and pull them near, respectively, because I've heard another theory:
...
...
DH is actually much, much better than SB for many reasons explained at length, and survivors' dire warnings about using SB are a bad faith deflection to avoid a DH nerf!
Which is more likely, friends?
I think the big difference is that DH is just annoying.
