First time I've seen this streamer but have to admit I don't like the way he's in such disbelief a survivor outplayed him. Accusing Bill of cheating when he was literally only using Lightweight to escape chases up until Kate was slugged and Low Profile kicked in. People need to understand there is ALWAYS someone better at you at EVERYTHING, and that's okay.
Also at 19:27 the streamer claims he managed to lose Spirit because of the flashbang when in reality he dropped the flashbang, was chased for 40 seconds and then led Spirit to another survivor working on a Gen. To be fair this was unintentional but don't then claim you lost the killer because of your skill lol.
Other than those gripes the guy seems like a chill and cool dude. I also agree Lightweight is an incredible perk. I use it all the time with Lithe, Windows and Quick & Quiet.
Edit: He also facecamped the Bill to death on first Hook. Not cool man
I don't agree with all of the video, but was just pointing out a hidden op build if played right.
I like Coconut as he is a huntress main, his sniper montages is just god like, im not a surv main but just thought someone good might pick up this odd build.

Extra free information would also be yet another buff for SWF, which is what people never seem to understand. Every buff that "closes the gap between solo and swf" also buffs said swf, and the approach is always to then "fix killer later" when said information has a disproportionate effect on half of them. The best part is that it will do nothing to improve the actions of bad players, as kindred has proven multiple times over.
SWF isn't some hive mind, in order to convey information people need to communicate. The more info they get for free without needing to communicate multiple things simultaneously, they're still getting buffed as well. Not only that, but the core problem with solo queue is having to leave a significant portion of your agency in the hands of completely unknown players, which that type of information does nothing to improve. You can't make anyone play the way you want, and you can already deduce most of that information without needing to be spoonfed it.
My option for that would be give swfs the solo buffs, but if you sign up as a duo your heal,repair/cleanse speed is slowed by "x%" more % for a trio and a quad.
But why should i penalised for playing with my friends, because you and your friends mess with the games balance.

Yeah, i hope they release his rift skin to the shop, i missed two of the pieces.
But still i dont believe you can do them without the license. What the people in this thread are saying, is that giving them away freely is obligatory for obtaining the license due to the opinions of the license holder
And that's what i said.

I doubt they would show the data, it would only highlight how useless their penalties are.
Much like why you can't see mmr.

Firstly, where does this come from? Nobody was talking about Bill skins?
And secondly, i highly doubt your statement about licensed skins
Exactly, no one talks about Bill skins. He has his default outfit, his prestige outfit 1 jumper and 1 hat. 8 total pieces.
@Barbarossa2020 said:
Any chance Bill can have some cosmetics?
After prestige he has 2 options. 1 hat with glasses and 1 Christmas jumper.
Base skin 3 options.
Prestige 3 options
2 additional options. Pretty rough.
Secondly: Refer to posts in that thread.

I play a ton of games and most of them don't have the same PC culture as DBD, and even then, it's only a minority of the player base. If anything's changed, things are likely more toxic. People like getting a rise out of others, and being immature, and competitive banter, and overall fooling around. The best thing you can do is play along. It's much better to say "gg" and be a good sport than go online and be sensitive and salty about it. Rule 1 of the internet, don't feed the trolls.
And yeah... The DBD chat filter is comparable to the things I've seen in kid's games, not M rated games. It censors things like perks, character names, spelling mistakes. It's annoying. Be careful this is the same company that asked in a satisfaction survey if they should take away end game chat and have stickers instead. Did the player base want that? No. They got annoyed that they were being treated like children. The playful majority shouldn't suffer for the sensitive minority that can't handle gaming/internet culture.
Once i've got my rank this month ill just play along as be as equally toxic this month. Face camping Bubba time.

Will take a long time to master but its such a under rated build, fi you can make a 7k+ hour Huntress struggle with this you'll make anyone struggle.

I agree Bill does need more skins.
And yes you can do it without the license, you just have to make them free.

I mean tbh, the community seems mixed on Bubba's masks. The main issue was streamers were complaining about being camped and then they got attacked in their community. Bhvr isn't responsible for what happens on Twitch, or Discord. It seemed like a controversy Bhvr just didn't wanna deal with so they removed the masks altogether. Using the mask didn't make people racist, it was the harassment that followed that became an issue.
I sometimes wait at the gates to say bye, especially if the killer did badly, or was friendly, so I like leaving items for them. Sometimes I wanna farm protection hits, other times I think it's fun to be pushed out. I don't think you understand how online gaming works, if you make a big deal about it or get offended people think that's even more funny, and at the end of the day they're not to blame for being immature, it's the person who's sensitive enough to get salty about it. It's smart to take a break when games get too frustrating or stressful, but you can't control what people do, only how you react.
Oh i fully understand how online gaming works, been doing it since windows 95 and 56k modems playng Age of empires 1 and counterstrike in '99
I also understand how much the gaming community has changed in 20 years.
And if it's my reaction that is "salty" then we won't be needing chat filters or anything like that then, people can just stop being sensitive right?

Hey, think of it as a survivor slugging you. :)
Slugging has it's purposes some of the time, survivors standing in a gate with nothing to achieve does not, other than being flogs.

Been having a great time, bought the Dredge because it was on the sale, not to play but just for Darkness within. P2 him to unlock the perk,
Gave it to Anna and it's been great, i've haven't played in 6 weeks so my mmr dropped a bit, but my sniping has been on point, landing shots through upstairs windows to get downs, One on the coldwind farm house, over a surv who was blocking me but still got the down on one inside running up the stairs, another on the upstairs opening of the garden of joy mansion.
The hardest is still the upstairs balcony on dead dog, i just cant seem to get through the rails.
Doing some great cross loop window snipes, Yeah been alot of dead meat in my games and its fantastic, all that t bagging and exit gate time wasting getting paid for.

I thought the same, the strategy encompasses everything the "normal" player base hates.
Tunneling with Blight.

I'd be more worried about buying a pc rather than playing on a laptop.
-
My only gripe with the system is not being able to see my own mmr. i'd like to know if im improving.
-
I'd gathered its just because of Hardware, to many machines would just chunk because of it, and to be honest i'd rather more core game play issues were fixed rather than just "pretty" things.
-
Darkness within + iron maiden = Happy Anna. Might even be time to drop corrupt im downing the meat so fast.
-
Anna 90% exclusively on killer, bar when a daily comes up on a killer i semi like. How do i play her? Assassin, no mercy, if someone d/c's i aim to kill them faster is all, All the t bagging and standing around at the exit gates gets paid for eventually.
Survivor: Bill and just Bill, i guess the grumpy on man appeals to a grumpy old man. Play style? Stay alive and leave, Not much risky team work from me, but i do only play solo.

That's a shame, the medical industry was never the same as well.

I also have an idea that each extra check point completed, the next section progress faster.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GOD3PYIIHPCH/image.png
For the math, if survivors do section 1 of 6 Gen (180sec) and section 2 of 5 Gen (120sec), total of 300sec.
It would be the same to survivor do section 1 of 5 Gen (150sec) and section 2 of 5 Gen (150sec), total of 300sec).
The idea is
- Encourage survivors to spread Gen, so later sections are easier to work on.
- x3 regression to give Gen kick meaningful
- Prevent 3 Gens play
- Check points to make Gen kick not op
- Check point & later section boost can help remaining survivors because a section can only take 18sec to complete, even if one early tunneled out.
Example:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WE2E234F56A0/image.png
If killer decides to only patrol Gen 1-2-3 to make 3 Gens play. Survivors can complete section 1-2 of Gen 4. Because 6 Gens has section 1 complete, Gen 1-2 only take 24sec to complete section 2.
I don't agree or disagree, i've won many games because of a 3 gen, survs argue killers need to be careful what hooks they use, i think that same should apply to what gens survs repair.
My changes would be to make a gen regress when not being repaired to one of your percentage points, and/or prevent survs from 0.1 sec repair to stop a regression.
Granted it's harder to stop a 3 gen for survs as you can't control what others repair, (on solo anyway) but i think that more so shows that they need a emote wheel.
-
Well as Behaviour develops other titles i'd expect less and less "fixes" to this title and just new money makers.
QoL patches don't make money they cost, and eventually DbD will get to a state where they just cant keep using glue and duct tape to fix stuff.
It will be a DbD 2

I’d love for the killers arguing for this in this thread to address the elephant in the room: the 60% kill rate at all MMR. No one has yet, and if you want to add basekit perks to killer you need to justify raising the kill rate even more.
Please enlighten me.
Im not argueing for it but isnt 60% basically the 2 kills per game the devs want?
-
I'll just address the elephant and obviously state Pig and Trapper.
The new ones can be toned down by adjust perks etc, but Pig with ambush which is useless and Trappers well traps are so archaic they'll stay dumpster tier until they are reworked.
Twins are new, but require adjustment, and Legion was just done which apart from being "mending simulator" are still able to be semi competitve, same with Twins.

3 survivors at 1 exit gate. 4th being injured. What can the 4th do? If he has means to heal himself, he can try to do that (time consuming). If he has not, then he can try to run to the other one and open this second gate (also time consuming). If 3 survivors at exit gate just leave, there's a good chance 4th one will not make it. If they stay at the exit line, wait to be pushed out (or ignored so they can heal themselves and take hits for the last one), they will buy 2.7s for each hit this takes. This gives quite some time to last survivor to also be able to escape.
Sure it's common that some survivors are just being mean and they don't need it because everyone is at the exit gate (still this does not need to be just to BM killer - maybe they want some extra free chase points for both BP and emblem. E.g. I remember I have lost a whole pip for not doing this). I am not advocating for tbagging at exit gates. Makes no sense if killer played fair. Sure many people do this. But it does not take away the example I already provided.
Again im specifying when survs have no reason to remain in the trial and they do it just to bad mouth.
It's just toxic behaviour. There's no reason for it, or a reason why the developers condone it. Again the standard we walk past is the standard we accept. They wil remove Masks because they were used in a racist way, but accept t bagging as fine.
-
Think most of the killer roster is in a decent state.
Bar the killers whom were rubbish efore the perk overhaul, it's their powers that are dated, no amount of perks will help them.

It says she likely suffered from mental illness. No one in their right mind would DIE over being BMed in a video game. I am actually someone with severe depression. It's often easier to blame video games than it is to look at oneself and say "maybe I as a parent missed the signs that my kid was in this horrible place." This can't be subjective, no one deserves to be held accountable for someone else's actions when all they did was play a video game and do stupid animations. People actually use SH and death as a ways to manipulate others, and we don't need to add validity to that. It just can't be subjective. It may even make people who already feel that way think it's a way to get back at others, which is very dangerous for everyone involved. If someone can't handle online gaming, that's their responsibility. We can't turn the world into a safe space where no one has to deal with their problems and triggers.
Now you may have an argument for various forms of harassment, but you just can't compare acting immature in a game to insulting the player themselves in an end game chat. Playing and acting in a toxic way just isn't comparable to using verbal insults. Like if I mori someone am I telling them I wish they were dead? Ofc not. Same with tea bagging, and clicking, and hitting people on hook.
So we can add Bubba's masks then right?
@Gandor said:

sure. You play killer. Standing in a single spot waiting for your 4k without any effort sure is not toxic to you. Yet helping other teammates by buying them time in exit gate is 100% toxic. So much hypocrisy.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3243505#Comment_3243505
sure. Let's define facecamp bubba or any other insta-killer as ToS. You don't play the game. You prevent other players to play the game. Sounds toxic to me ;)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3243509#Comment_3243509
Oh you are so mistaken. Head nodding and hitting on the hook are evergreen classics in toxic behavior. There are more specific stuff that depends on killer (like some killers actually can t-bag, bubba can M2 you on a hook etc), but the point is - both sides can and ARE toxic towards each other.
About your "toxic tactics" - what is toxic in trying to help fellow survivor that is being "toxic tactics" tunneled to death by trying to take hit for him? First of it's killer who decided to abuse easy/cheap stuff and all that the other survivors can do is to get injured/downed just to prolong his misfortune. It sounds way more that toxic tactics are mainly things that killer can do. Sure you can take 4 BNP's and genrush the hack out of killer, but how often do we see this and how often do we see (face)camp/tunnel? I can tell you that 4 BNP's is very rare. For tunnel it's more then 50% of games. Camping (if we include proxy) is even more.
If you're all at the exit gate what time is that buying? apart from just being annoying or insulting?
-
It's a good perk but self awareness is better.
Do gens that have wide views of around you, do the gen on the side that gives you the most lateral vision.
And most of all, stop running everywhere, nothing gets survivors killed like scratch marks.
-
You can just play probably no more than 5 hours of games till have enough bp to prestige trapper to the level you need.
If you have Bubba literally just do the insidious Bubba, its famous for a reason.

Define bullying? I've tea bagged at the gates as playful banter, but I'd never dogpile someone in end game chat and call them trash. In fact, when killers express that they were hurt (usually not even by that specifically), I try to relate to them and assure them. I've also been tunneled and camped, I don't complain about it, my post was mostly just talking about how players can't help being camped so they shouldn't be punished, but I said it's a valid strategy.
Just bc it's toxic doesn't mean we should strive for it to be banned. We shouldn't make these things a ToS violation, and it's good we don't, bc I honestly think 90% of gamers in general would be banned and all video games would lose their more competitive funny side. We're not children, it's not a kid's game, we can handle stupid games of chicken and butt dances at the exit gate, and if we can't, it was the game, we were stressed, maybe something is happening irl, but then we should take a step back and calm down, not stop the immature behaviour.
Again it's in the eye of the beholder, you might not define it as bullying but others might, many people have self harmed over bullying.
This is a famous case in Australia of a 15 year old girl who ultimately killed herself over cyber bullying.
Amy Jayne "Dolly" Everett (1 May 2003 – 3 January 2018) was an Australian teenager who killed herself as a result of suspected mental illness[1] and being a victim of cyberbullying.[2] Her suicide sparked debates about teen suicide, racial and gender imbalance in media reporting of suicide[3][4] and the dangers of publicity around suicides and emphasising victim playing, glorifying and promoting s…Again you might it see it as playful banter but for others it can be much more.
Why is toxic behavior acceptable but not casual racism or various phobias? It once was acceptable to do so but not now, but yet we tolerate a certain amount of "banter" because its "fun" for certain people, again just because its in a game doesn't mean it has real world affects.
-
@BabyShrimp said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3243498#Comment_3243498
Meh, I didn't wanna make it a manner of banning (unless its clearly breaking ToS, like working with the killer or cheating), mostly just reducing the issues, or making them easier to go against.
But is us as consumers who define what should be in a ToS. The standard you walk past is the standard you accept.
We don't tolerate racism in dbd as it causes issues, but we tolerate bullying.
Does intentional disconnection not help the killer? would it not be classed as working with the killer as you know you've made it easier for the killer "to win"
-
Everyone has different ideas of what's toxic.
I dont have an issue with tunneling or camping, as it has it needs, but 70% of survs think standing around in the exit gate being flogs is fine.
So for me i'd start by banning people who think that's fine, and those survs who rage d/c ban them as well.
-
No reason for it, just promotes toxic behaviour.
And if you don't find it toxic go search for how many "just leave" videos you can find.
It's just toxicity no different from abusing someone in chat.
-
I find it rather ironic, they don't like bad language, but the devs won't do a thing to address t bagging at the gate.
-
Not sure why the hate on the op.
Im a solo surv when i do play, and i strictly rely on myself, many games i have limited killer interaction as i try to not be found by walking around slowly and doing what i can.
If that mean's just genning and going for safe unhooks so be it, if people want to rush around everywhere leaving marks for a killer to follow that's on them to deal with the Killer. Can't fix stupid.
-
Why do people use CoH then wait for 10 minutes to use it?

I still vote iri head, at least when it's paired with the fox. Being permanently undetectable with a ranged instadown is nuts, and you can snowball and end games way faster than tombstone if things go your way. My typical game using it is just walking up and 1 shotting people in the first ~15-20 seconds of a match because you can just toss a hatchet when you spawn in, reload, and 1 shot the first guy you find before they even realize you are using the fox
The power of iri head is not that it one shots, it's that it causes people to disconnect.

When I play with challenges I bring builds that specifically map for what I'm trying to do. I got the sacrifice 4 in basement in tome 1 a couple of weeks ago, with agi+iron grasp my second try with huntress bringing a dead dawg offering. It would have been the first try if people didn't constantly dc against my hag. And that is just by forcing that tome too, I've sacrificed everyone in basement many times just.. with normal gameplay through snowballing.
In the grand scheme of things it's REALLY not all that difficult - the sacrifice 4 people in basement, or stun the killer to get void energy, nor are they like, close to being as hard as the hardest achievement (one being maybe evil incarnate, and the other one being the last survivor, completing all gens and escaping through gates). The hardest tome challenges imo are stun the killer 4 times in a single trial, or finish 4 generators in a single trial.
Was more the fact you generally have to plan to complete that objective by using certain perks etc.
And as for harder perks, thats why you have swfs to make those challenges easier.

So Trapper is tournament viable? Because if not, then he's not top MMR viable, aka not viable. Anyone can be god tier against a lower caliber of survivors.
The tournaments i watched is not indicative of how the majority of dbd games are played.
Unless every game is the first person hooked is face camped to death.
-
Practise, is literally all it is.
Anyone who can sink alot of time into any killer will become God tier, Otz showed it with trapper.

I love it when me and my duo partner just get stuck in a Customs match and unable to do anything because you need more people to actually have the game work properly, such an amazing suggestion. :)
In all seriousness, if the balance is skewed towards SWF, then buff SoloQ up the level of SWF with QoL, then balance around SWF. The difference between SoloQ and SWF is too great and removing SWF is stupid.
You can go on the dbd discord and find more friends and do your "stupid" stuff together.

Even if you play the worst killer - which is trapper according to stats. You still win more often then you loose. It's just 6%, but for worst killer there is - you win 6% more often then you loose - even if you are in 5% of best players skill group. Killers have it easy because devs feel they should have an unfair advantage and win more often then loose
It's a 1 v 4 thats the advantage hence why killers have to be buffed, to deal with it, but once it becomes 1 v 3 1 v 2 and 1 v 1 then killers have the advantage.
-

No, as it would be the same as giving survivors the option to dodgr certain killers, its a position of entitlement, if you lose then get better do not ask for others experiences to be hindered just to habe easier matches, not every match can go as you want it to.

Yeah, you can push the survivors out when the gates are opened.. they will either escape the trial, or be killed. A slugged survivor (without perks to pick themselves up) with the hatch closed and the gates unopened has no such possibilties.
So run unbreakable then, but i still can't make you leave the gate area.

It’s been revealed by the devs that, believe it or not, SWF is a negligible factor in survivability. I guess their response is essentially most SWFs are still casual, so they aren’t amazing players. To your suggestion though… Is there any other game out there that penalizes players for queueing up with friends?
Other posts have said it can be up to 15% which is not negligble, imagine if every killer into a swf got a 15% buff.
I cant think of any other games, but most games are not 1v4.
In League of legends a 5v5 you can only queue as a duo, in ranked play.
In world of warcraft you can only enter as a max of 5 in a 10 man battle. If you want to go full team you verse a full team.
