  • Yeah a lot of people do that but there is a lot of bugs so one or two could of been affected by that.

I dc'd once as I got face camped and tunneled ON THE PTB like bro, I usually don't dc cause of that but I had nothing to lose and I'm going in trying to verse the new killer and have a good time then that happens? Nah man.

Btw, he wasn't struggling. Was actually winning the game on Hawkins so really there was no reason to do it.

(Incase anyone is wondering I'm not an entitled survivor main. I play both sides equally, so I'm not whining to whine).

Yeah honestly after versing a bunch of other twins players I realised I could be the FUN twins to verse, when I first figured out how to play them I opted for the mass slugging and it felt so scummy like shooting fish in a barrel. There was nothing they could do against it :(

Yeah man I would love to face an optimal twins player like yourself honestly,

At least you felt bad playing like that and try not to play like that, wish more twins players were like you :(

Ah sorry I should have specified a bit. When you said "I'm not a surv main I play both sides equally" I found it funny you HAD to specify not being a survivor main just cause people would get on your case just because of the side you play.

Yeah man, the beauty of this community hahaha. Knew I would of got major backlash if I didn't specify that lol

  • Actually I play both sides heavily and I agree that noed shouldn't be a thing.

HOWEVER, when they remove second chance survivor perks then they can remove them too for killer is how I see it.

I understand the frustration but at the end of the day, they're in the game and that's that. (Meta perks).

Their playstyle is only boring and unfair if you play them that way. I use Victor to pressure gens and injure, then finish off chases with Charlotte. I lose more often than not but it's fun to make survs earn their escapes without decimating them through the whole slugging/Victor hook camping playstyle

Yeah man but for the majority they play them extremely unfair and just overall like an #########.

Overall their playstyle is to promote slugging, tunneling and camping. I haven't faced one set of twin players who doesn't heavily do all this and it ain't fun at all to go against or play as in my opinion.

I respect you play them in an optimal manner but I just don't like them.

I love you have to specify that at the end.....What a lovely community.

Don't really get your point? I hate them and that's a personal preference.

If that's what you're getting at I mean, if not then apologies.

  • Sidney from Scream! my fav horror/thriller franchise

  • twins, twins and twins.

hate them with a burning passion, almost dropped the game completely when they released.

  • as a huntress main, we too can also get ######### over by the hitboxes. sometimes I know a hatchet should of hit and it didn't, they are fine as they are.

If they tamper with them they'll just make huntress impossible to play and or make them worse for survivors.

  • yeah this is a lesson, do not camp pallets.

also camping shack pallet? like bruh

  • As far as I'm aware I think there is 179 achievements? I don't know though as I've never been one to want to achieve them, I just play to play.

But, for pretty much 2.5k hours I have 103 achievements which I find insane since I never play specifically for achievements hahaha

God I'm not victim lol I would've gave it back because I found another one. If I did get hooked the Adam would've t-bagged my hook which would've been fair and funny lol would've fully deserved it but I wouldn't have cared.

If I hadn't done it in the first place is a bit of a weak argument. The man was fully prepared to kill a full team to try and kill me, just because he got outplayed. In the time he was doing nothing I did 1 gen and started following the death hook survivor for a flashlight save. Would've done more if she didn't keep coming back to the gen with ruin.

Not really a weak argument. You're trying to justify what you done and flip it on the other person, that's a weak argument to me.

You shouldn't of done it, plain and simple. Shows you're just one of those troll teammates that not many people like.

I get why everyone is saying karma would be if I got killed. Thing is it does work both ways. He was the one who was trying to throw the game to kill me and in turn would've probably got everyone else killed. In the end though the killer chose to chase him whenever they had the choice of me, who was injured and him, who was full health.

I would've been there to flashlight save him if he didn't try to get me killed. Thing is I actually looted a green flashlight near the exit after the last gen was done so if he was still alive I would've brought him back to it.

Put it this way, if you fall for it then it's your fault for not paying attention.

No actually, if you hadn't of done it in the first place then they wouldn't of tried to throw the game to get back at you.

You should of been the one to get face camped honestly.

It's nice to see all the seething and rage about RPD. Really confirms to me that 90% of this community are toddlers who demand to be coddled at every turn, refuse to learn new content, and throw tantrums over mild increases in complexity.

You just strike me as one of those people in the community who acts like someone having an opinion is just them being immature but you're the immature one for trying to stir up some tension for no reason it seems.

Seen your reply on another post and it literally just was being immature and of no help at all.

    Don't be that person bro.

Yeah I think I have to stop with exhaustion all together cause it completely freezes my game lol

Honestly for me I feel like sprint burst has been way more viable for console even with the issues if you're wanting to run an exhaustion perk still.

  • I'm on xbox one and I've been experiencing performance issues again, not as severe but nonetheless still there.

I also stopped running dead hard as of like two months ago as I think it's a lost cause with the issues it causes and the fact it doesn't even work pretty much.

  • You know I'm on xbox and have around nearly 2.5k hours on my main account and for the first time ever I experienced hackers. I was playing demo, only for a daily.

Got two legacy hackers that wall hacked, speed hacked, heal hacked, hook hacked. Floating, under the map etc... also froze the game for a period of time then one of the hackers actually dc'd cause I refused to do so. I wanted my bps after all that bs I got put through

I have never experienced anything like that in my life.

  • Oh no, the age old question that causes absolute uproar within the community😂

  • @Alionis said:

Neither map is confusing. Once you learn the general layout, thanks to them being far less RNG-dependent than other indoor maps, navigating them is quite simple.

Highly disagree for rpd it's not the case, imo.

Excuse me? It's a literal hellscape for killers. The only killers that can try to make it work are stealth killers, and that's ONLY if they force a three gen situation. It's actually a more survivor sided map. The size alone is the best defense.

Completely agree with you, how crimson thinks it's good for killers is actually insane to me. Certain killers, yes. Most killers? Hell no.

  • I actually used to hate Midwich but I got it so much in rotation the last 2 months that it's actually grown on me and I really don't mind it. Dare I say it might now be my favourite inside map for survivor, which I never thought I would say.

Rpd is literally trash when it comes to actual playable mechanics. I don't care if it's for nostalgia or whatever else, it's absolutely horrible to play on either side. I'm not an re fan so I really don't care about that franchise and I would of preferred a playable map rather than one that looks good and that fans of the franchise wanted.

  • I hate Doctor with everything I have and own lol and I main huntress so I also don't mind going against her.

I hate facing doctor and twins the most in this game.

I think you're both missing the point completely. The OP is complaining about the fact that the Survivor's core objective (gens) is extremely boring by design. The Devs themselves knew how boring it is so they added little mini-games (skill checks) to distract from the unbearably boring 'gameplay' of sitting still for 80 seconds just staring at a progress bar. The Dev's priorities are mismatched. They should be incentivising chases with in-game mechanics but instead, the primary objective for Survivor is to sit on what is essentially a loading screen. The 'game' is a series of watching progress bars fill up, followed by the occasional chase where the game actually becomes fun. Or alternatively, some people enjoy hiding from the Killer and the tension of just barely getting away with it. Both are significantly more exciting then staring at a progress bar. Telling the OP to just 'play killer' does not actually solve the issue the OP is addressing.

    i was joking lol.

i do main killer, im just saying its nice to switch things up, both sides should be enjoying

I play both equally and I love survivor and do not mind doing gens at all, it only becomes a problem when I have to do most gens 24/7. I don't know what to tell you tbh, survivor is just as fun imo. gens are just the objective.

You're saying gens are boring then chases are fun but then saying chases come at a cost like it's just the game. I don't know what more you could want man hahaha

  • To each their own but I'm personally glad twins aren't that playable. I dunno how people actually enjoy their playstyle if I'm honest, I had to play at least 20 or more games as them during the event to use cakes and it was boring and I felt like an ass the entire time.

Their playstyle is just boring and unfair. My personal opinion, but I do feel for people who enjoyed them and no longer do cause that must suck but that's about it.

No I'm not a surv main incase anyone says it. I play both sides equally and I hate twins either way.

  • as a fellow huntress main, I agree. it would be a nice touch and sometimes on certain maps I mean it can take me a minute before I even see a locker.

  • Because people will be entirely focused on staying in certain ranks or will be trying their hardest to get out of certain ranks. It promotes such an unhealthy extremely competitive mindset for a game with so many balancing issues as it is. People will play so beyond sweaty once a competitive mechanic is added to the game, you can see it from most people streaming and in your own personal games. Look how much more competitive players have been playing since mmr was turned on.

It's evident people have been having a more miserable experience since it was switched on, just proves why it shouldn't be in the game.

  • if trickster can be put into this game then fnaf is perfectly capable of doing so, you're calling people toxic yet look at how toxic you're coming across to fans of fnaf.

Kinda hypocritical if you ask me.

Just incase you think it, I am not a fan of fnaf. I just don't care if it's added lol I think it has potential to be cool.

  • I don't believe it's a healthy way for this game to go with the many existing problems with the core mechanics. MMR promotes extremely sweaty play by both survivors and killers and it will drain any fun out of this game, it will hurt it really bad.

I just don't see the game ever getting to a healthier state if MMR is going to be a permanent add, it will be the downfall along with the ignorance around balancing issues too imo.

  • Not to be an ass but I don't get why people write these kinda posts. Like good for you?

I left this game for months and never had to announce it, it's pretty sad imo lol

If you don't like it then take a break or stop playing without announcing it, your departure is of no value to any of us.

That being said, bye bye and enjoy your time away if you actually take it.

  • For me personally it hasn't been too bad. Now on huntress who I main and I'm rank one with, I have noticed that I am being matched with extremely good survivors whom are very optimal but I've been performing well myself so I haven't struggled really.

Even my survivor games were decent, even against sweaty killer's or very good ones.

I ain't holding my breath though, although I have been playing more dbd lately and gotten my muscle memory back for most stuff so I think I am playing well atm in general but I have seen mmr messing a lot of people up like.

I feel like I am being matched more with people on my skill level which is definitely higher on both sides for me so I am glad but some games are beyond sweaty sometimes which isn't the most fun lol.

  • I love anime but I don't think it should be in dbd, however it has more of a place than kpop and we got that so... (my personal opinion, don't come for me).

Tokyo ghoul and attack on titan would be so interesting as chapters hahaha

  • Oh I've had people be homophobic to me on console as I have 'lesbian' in my bio so people have actually came for my sexuality because they're salty about a loss in a game. Yeahhh makes total sense. I have also had people tell me to go die and horrendous things which is just insane like.

It does happen to me but not as often since I'm on console, most of the time it's people just trying to rub a loss in your face or question your intelligence because they don't like how you play.

  • Huntress, legion and Spirit for me as of lately.

I used to main trapper, ghostface too.

But overall I main huntress and lately I've picked up other killer's again since I wanna learn how to play more killers effectively so I can rotate between them.

  • Well you have twins as your pfp so I'm not shocked you have a flawed logic hahahaha

Joke btw, but I have to heavily disagree with your logic.

  • I hated 'A Binding of Kin' chapter but I wasn't gonna go make a thread about it.

    Grow up mate.

I don't have Plague so grinding for Corrupt is not a reality right now... just working toward Ruin, because it's frankly better than running just a regression perk like Overcharge or Eruption, or even keeping Tremors on with no assistive perk...

I would say that is the best thing for you to do for sure but eventually I would recommend trying to get corrupt, it really can be a lifesaver and game changing perk, imo.

  • @CashelP14 said:

Thing is if I'm going all out with random builds and no slowdown then I'll accept games like this can happen. It's the same when in chase as survivor. If your not using an exhaustion perk, you need to accept your chase will be shorter than you'd like.

yeah exactly, completely agree with ya. I main huntress and always run corrupt but never anything like ruin or pop and I accept if I lose cause of gens flying then I didn't play to the best of my ability, well sometimes it is just down to a gen rush etc.. the same with surv, if I am running no exhaustion perks then my chase may not last as long and I accept that too for sure.

  • @CashelP14 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2413321#Comment_2413321

Needed a slowdown perk unfortunately mate. I like to experiment with perks a few times but I'll usually keep at least Corrupt (my #1 perk I get as killer).

Completely agree, corrupt is my go to perk for killer in general.

It sucks you gotta pretty much keep in mind slowdown perks even while experimenting with builds but unfortunately that is the state of the game atm.

  • A Binding of Kin.

That chapter nearly made me stop playing for good. Horrible killer and meh survivor. Plus all the bugs with that chapter update.

RE chapter was pretty bad too imo.

What rank are you? I'm glad you're atleast having fun lately

Majority of the time I'm rank 1 on both sides. But I haven't been playing as much so I'm rank 3 killer atm and rank 1 surv.

I hope you do start to have fun though!

  • @Artick said:

So? People are allowed to be salty about whatever they want to be salty. Did you open this topic to get pats on the back or something?

You are allowed to play in any way you want to play and people are allowed to be mad about it. Ignore the chat, play how you want to play, use whatever perks you want to use.

Honestly man, you're making yourself look salty just by how you responded to a post about once again survivors being whiny and entitled lol about something so silly.

There was no reason for you to come across as aggressive as you have, I can easily just switch what you said on you and say people have the right to post about what they want, so chill.

  • I am not kidding when I say that the Twins release made me so so so close to leaving this game for good. That had to be from my personal experience (been playing since late 2018) the absolute worse release for this game. Not just even the killer but ISSUES with the game was absolutely abysmal, I couldn't believe the fact that they went through with the release even though they knew how broken the twins were and the amount of bugs was astonishing, even for dbd.

Now, the twins are probably my most hated killer in the game, as killer I will not touch them and as survivor I will constantly just want to dc because of the playstyle they promote, it is beyond toxic to this game that suffers enough with the disagreeing on morality when it comes to how one plays.

I do take regular breaks from the game though because honestly, I would even up leaving for good if I didn't because I do not have the sanity level to deal with playing this game as much as I used to. I played from the event til the bloodhunt regularly and now I'm taking my break lol

Last thing, the performance issues have been horrendous in general since the Binding of Kin Chapter release imo, but after the RE chapter for console I just struggled to try and play this and the only thing that kept me playing was and is my overall love for it as flawed as it is.

  • Honestly I get what you mean but to say that killer isn't the fun in the slightest is a bit of an exaggeration in my personal opinion.

I play both sides pretty equally with overall close to 3k hours and 2.4k hours on my main account so trust me when I say I play the game plenty and play alotttttt of killer since I main huntress(on console rip lol).

Killer is fun, it isn't always sweaty honestly, when you come across optimal survivors whether it's a swf or not then yeah you have to play a bit more sweaty but also you're choosing to sweat if you play to 4k, that's just my personal opinion. Of course there are periods it is constantly sweaty but I suggest you take a break then come back to it, I take breaks regularly from dbd since it's just one of those games that can hinder your fun and love for it after constant playing.

Now when it comes to perks, I really do not get why people complain about either sides perks like it's in the game and that's that, get over it lol. Do I love a killer with noed or a survivor with sprint burst etc..? No I don't but sitting there and complaining is just dumb, it is what it is.

Moral of it all is that there is immense frustrations on both sides, as a survivor you can face so much frustration too even though I do agree that survivor can be more accommodated by the core mechanics in this game. Killers might have to sweat to get a result they are happy with, but like survivors have to deal with camping and tunnelling for killers to achieve this which is not fun for them at all.

Both sides have it rough at times whether there is balancing issues or not.

1 … 8 9 10 11
