Only if there is an option to disable it. Not everyone enjoys voicelines and the constant yapping in the Trial would really be annoying.

Yeah the perk was greyed out like it was not active even tho I reblessed the totem which should regain the perk.
I'm assuming bug as perk is worded like you can use on everyone once.
Edit: Had another match I could test more, Def bugged, used on Yui, reblessed totem in screenshot after using on yui and does not light back up. then tried to heal claud bot and no promptDid you try to cleanse a Totem instead of blessing it? My assumption would be because the blessed Totem got snuffed out, the Perk deactivated, but since it already activated, you cannot reactivate it. If this is the case, cleansing should make the Perk stay active permanent to get the full value out of it.

You clearly don’t understand how little that criteria means. You can find totems easily, cleanse them easily and then boom, give it to your friend who brought resurgence and now they’ll be instantly healed off hook.
You realise how much time that saves and how much pressure that takes away from the killer? They can’t come back to hook to pressure two survivors, or to tunnel one out because they need someone out due to fend going too fast, because both of them could be fully healed.
but sure, dig your head into the sand and live in your imagination where this isn’t broken. And a Totem is cleansed instantly? Or blessed instantly? Even if you can find them easily, you still have to spend a bit to go to the Totem.
You act as if the Perk is active right away, but the real fact is that the time you have to spend to activate the Perk already removes the benefit you get. If the Survivor spawns directly on the Totem, they need 14 seconds to cleanse it. Resurgence auto-fills 70% of the Charges of the Unhooked Survivor. This means that 30% are left, which is 4,8 seconds to heal. Now, even IF all three Survivors have Resurgence, the Survivor needs to heal for just 0,24 seconds, which is pretty much instant. So the time saved for each Survivor is a bit under 4,6 seconds and if we calculate this 3 times (because all the other Survivors have Resurgence) we end up at 13,8 seconds of time saved.
So the time saved to instantly heal 3 Survivors with Lend a Hand IF all Survivors have Resurgence is roughly the same as cleaning a Totem. Obviously, some more time is lost, since a Totem needs to be found and traveled to, but I just went for the raw numbers here.
So while you say that I dont realize anything (as if I am stupid, lel), you dont seem to do the basic math on your assumption why the Perk is so strong (according to you). So I have to assume that you either had no idea what you were writing and just blurted this Post out because you did not bother to do the calculations yourself or it was just a plump attempt at nerfing Resurgence. No idea what is worse.

In general, every license has the chance to come back. Usually contracts are made and then extended, except if something hinders this extension. E.g. another game in the making (which is the case for both Myers and Pinhead). Or simply money that the license holders want more and BHVR is not willing to pay it.
I would say that it is very likely that Myers will return. The people who make the new Halloween-game are the same who did TCM and this really only lasted a year or so. I think they are not even planning to do a game which is around for long, they just create a game, let people play it and after a year or so they abandon it.
For Pinhead, I am not really sure if he will ever come back. The Pinhead-license and DBD have a controversial history. I can imagine that Pinhead is gone for good, but if the license holders are willing to come back and it is without the preferred price range, the Devs will bring him back.

The perk excuse is getting pretty embarrassing. Not wanting to interact with anything that's part of normal gameplay, like opposing perks and hooks, means you want to play a different game.
Pretty much this. The game is centered around Survivors having "3 Lifes", one lost after every Hook. The game is not balanced around Survivors only having "1 Life", so the result is that slugging is extremely strong.
We can certainly balance around that, but then Survivors would need serious Buffs to adjust to the gameplay Killers want. But as you said, this would result in a completely different game.
-
Just open the Gate and force them out. Yes, they might teabag. You should be at least 18 years old. Be the adult (if the Survivors dont want to be the adults) and stand above it. And if you do this, you are out of the match in a very short time.

I can't wait for vigil Finesse Lithe to be paired with this
I mean, this would be great for Killers. One bad Perk which replaced a potentially better Perk.
@Topic:
15% Haste for 3 seconds is nothing. All this Perk will do is get you hit by the Killer. It will be one of those Perks where you see a Survivor pull something cool off in a Youtube-Shorts, you just not get the info that to do this two times the Survivor had to play for 8 hours.
That you can recycle a God Pallet is also only partially true. Yes, it is upright, but it is blocked for a full minute and the god pallets will be insta-kicked anyway. Getting a stun is obviously good, but vaulting back into the Killer to get the Pallet up is less useful than just gaining distance while the Killer is stunned and then needs to break the Pallet.
Plus, you cannot really control where to use it, you can also reset a bad Filler Pallet, which grants even less value.
-
I fully agree that the Killer Perks are mid, but calling the Survivor Perks busted is really a big stretch.
Wide Open Throttle currently is completely overrated. The Perk does not provide any distance on its own and while it sounds busted to recycle Shack Pallet, it will most likely result in a Hit. Which then begs the question, why even drop the Pallet at all if you get hit anyway? You also cannot really control when to use this Perk, at some point you have to vault a random unsafe Pallet because the Killer is mindgaming it and this will just result in the Survivor getting a Hit and the almost non-existent value of an unsafe Pallet being up again.
I dont know yet how I feel that it counters Dissolution, but Dissolution is such a cheap Perk on certain Killers, I dont mind if it gets a little bit weaker because of that.
Lend a Hand is bad. Your points dont stand at all. You mention an SWF and while SWF is the ultimate Scapegout, a competent SWF will not use such a Perk. They have access to other, way better Perks and therefore you will not see Survivors stacking up their permanent healing progress on one Survivor. The combination with Resurgence is also a nothingburger, I mentioned it in another Thread, but since you have to cleanse a Totem before to activate the Perk, the benefit will be 0 in the end, since you dont really save time overall. (Which is probably the reason why they added this requirement in the first place)
Cross-Examination is more of a Killer Perk to be honest. Yes, this means that Survivors can use Flashlights more efficiently, but you know what is not efficient? Using Flashlights. I guarantee you, this Perk will get more Survivor Teams lose because one person decides to follow the Killer around.
-
Considering that the Survivor first needs to cleanse a Totem to activate the Perk, even if the other 3 Survivors all have Resurgence, you would overall not gain anything, even if you can heal them instantly. Which is probably also the reason why they added the requirement to cleanse or bless a Totem.
(But nice try trying to get Resurgence nerfed. I give it a 6/10 for your effort)

Theres still lose lose setups, they're just changing. DS+plot twist for example has changed it to eat the DS or let this guy heal himself. Its at least not AS rough though since it doesnt help guarantee safety on gens.
Or, wild idea - dont go after the recently unhooked Survivor. I know, crazy. (Or just tunnel through the DS and get a good laugh at this mighty Anti-Tunnel Perk)

They'll never admit to this and its exactly why the convo is just karma farm (which is funny on a forum like this.)
Killers doing everything in their power to win every game but then complain when they get given a free win lol.It might sound silly, but at this point I am pretty sure that at least some Killers just want the Survivors to feel miserable. There have been multiple Threads complaining about Survivors abandoning when they are the last person alive, because they dont want to see the Mori. Yet for Killers it is a problem, because they apparently want the Survivors to see it. (While it should be totally fine, since the Killer gets to see it and they apparently want to see it)
But the actual reason for those (I would say it is a small amount of players who think like that) is that the Survivor sees how they lose. Which is not so different from Survivors waiting at the Hatch until the Killer sees them leave, but hey…

When a survivor afks or tries to go next after getting caught in a trapper trap. Idk what to tell you. Dont agree with op how often it happens. But it does happen. Ive seen many bad reasons in the 10 years.
Ah, gotchya. OP is playing Trapper and whenever a Survivor steps into their Trap, they DC. Sorry, I needed that context. /s
Come on, we both know that there are people who DC by the slightest inconvenience. But those are even more rare. And there is nothing which can fix their behavior. However, instead of punishing Survivors who go next, why not try at some point to work at the frustrations WHY those Survivors go next?
But no, whenever BHVR attempts to do this, there are mass complaints and it gets scrapped or reworked into being useless. Yay.

What kind of response is this? You have no idea how OP plays and yet you are blaming them for survivors giving up. The downvotes are definitely deserved.
As if I care about Downvotes, lol.
The thing is, there are two possibilities: OP is lying and exaggerating the numbers OR OP really plays Killer and has someone give up in every single game they play.
And if OP tells the truth (they dont, lets be real), then it must be OP who is playing in such an unfun way that nobody wants to play with them. Simple as that. I have my own gameplay (as said, I dont see people giving up that often regardless which role I play) and I can watch countless hours of streams and I dont see nearly as many Hook Suicides or DCs as OP is claiming to happen in their own games.
-
I almost never see Survivors giving up, neither as Survivor nor as Killer. So MAYBE it is the way you play? If you wait 10 minutes, maybe dont make the game as unfun as possible for the other side, so they are more likely to actually interact with you.
Or you are straight up lying or exaggerating if you say it is happening in every game.

This is not a stone I would cast, considering how easily it can be turned back on you.
Why is it the killers who are wrong and not you for thinking it's just the game's fault you don't escape more often?
You can show me where I complain that I dont escape too often. I know that I am neither the best Survivor nor the best Killer. But still I struggle way less than those who call themselves Killer Mains.
-
This was tested in a PTB years ago, but never made it past that. We also did not get any information about it since then, so I dont think something like that is planned or will realistically be added to the game.

The best part of this post is to just see how delusional survivor players are with the downvotes and how much some of them don't actually care about real game balance, they just want to be the more oppressive side. Pallet density is objectively screwed up right now. There is zero defense in being able to have 4-5 pallets just chaining together within 10 meters of each other, and that's ignoring any possible windows or even the shack / main building being nearby as well.
Hence why there's no real replies to the points being made about the pallet density, it's just "downvote and move on" because they know they have no real defense for it lol.
Anyone who plays killer for 10 minutes can feel it. Hell I felt it IMMEDIATELY on my first game back from an extensive break away from the game. It's awful, you're playing pallet breaker simulator you're not playing the killer role in DBD.
Thank you for the most valuable sentence here:
Hell I felt it
IMMEDIATELYon my first game back from an extensive break away from the game. This is what is wrong with DBD-players. EVERYTHING is at fault for them performing not as good, except themselves. It is impossible that you might just be rusty if you had an extensive break from the game. No, it must be the game itself which is an issue, otherwise you would have 4Ked easily.
And this thread just shows it once again. We even have a Killer who is winning here, yet a 20 second clip is the big gospel.

Larry and Vecna are good, but people use ghoul because hes strong. Trapper is easy but weak
Vecna and Singularity are also strong. But they are way more complex than Ghoul. If you are good with Vecna or Singularity, your winrate will be at least as good as it can with Ghoul, but you just see not many players who want to put the time and effort to learn those Killers. And they dont need to, since there are other Killers who are strong and sometimes way easier to play to get good results. E.g. I think people should learn Nurse before they want to learn Singularity, since she is easier to learn than Singularity to a level where you win most of your games.
In the end, it is more of a balance between strength and ease to use.
-
I dont think that this is what the community wants. Considering that Ghoul is one of the most used Killers, because he is super simple and you barely see any Singularity despite it being a really strong Killer already shows it. And this is even with Singularity made easier.
-
The map has 3 God Pallets and the rest of the Pallets are pretty bad. Your issue is that you get stunned by them. If you dont get stunned, you can just walk around it and get a hit, because the "Loops" are so short that they are not really useable by the Survivor.
So yes, there are a lot of Pallets on that map, but you can play almost all of them as Killer and they are in your favor, but you should not break those Pallets in chase and especially not get stunned. Those are basically the only ways for the Survivor to gain distance on most of the Pallets on that map.
(Dont get me wrong, the map still sucks for a lot of Killers. But it also sucks for Survivors, so it is somewhat balanced that both sides dont enjoy the map, lol)

IMO they should have just not announced it. Then nobody would have waited for it and would have just tuned in whenever they noticed that they were streaming.
And I think it would have had the same positive publicity without the negative parts.
-
Eric Pope said on Twitter that we should "Stay tuned". So MAYBE there will be a Map which is TOTALLY not Crystal Lake and the original Survivor Jommy Tarvis or so.
But yeah, when it comes to the license itself, it is only Jason, not Friday the 13th. So it is very likely that we will not see Tommy Jarvis or Camp Crystal Lake in the game.
-
Most likely only Jason, the Trailer also features "New Killer" only, usually it also features "New Map" or "New Survivor" if those things are included.
Personally I hope for revisions of older content and not only new Content. Especially since the last Midchapter was such a nothingburger, I feel that just adding Jason with 3 new Perks would again be a pretty underwhelming Chapter content-wise.

that part is completely off for interpretation anyways. And partly covered by me because i did mention the Entity can give New Powers just like for Wraith. There is also enough licensed Killers going far off the source already, notably Pyramid Head.

There is also enough licensed Killers going far off the source already, notably Pyramid Head.
True, but in the end it boils down of how much people enjoy it. I personally dont care if Jason is close to the source material or not, I am not the biggest F13 Fan anyway. For me it is more important that he is fun to play as and against and that he brings value to the game which is more than just another big licensed name. (And please not another Dashslop Killer)
But I can also see people just saying "This is not Jason!!" when the power is revealed next Tuesday. Obviously we will not know anything until then.

Just change around a word or two and we have pretty much any slasher killer and a good Part of the current killer roster covered.
Michael Myers is just a man with a big knife with inhuman strength and unstoppable.
Ghostface, legion is just a man with a knife with human strength and stoppable
Bubba, Hillbilly is just a man with a chainsaw with inhuman strength and pretty much unstoppable.
And so on
Others fit as well but have gotten some power gifted by the Entity? Like Wraith was just a man but pretty sure the invisibility came after entering the fog.
There is differences between Trapper and Jason, even when Trapper is undeniably designed after Jason. You just focus on some part of my post, but not on the most important part. The most important part is that the source material does not really provide that much when it comes to abilities for Jason. So they will need to deviate from that and this might not only be positive (see Myers).
If we just look at how complex modern Killers are in DBD; Jason does not really fit into that. At least if we go strictly after the movie version.

Trapper is basically the DBD-version of Jason.

I am now more interested how far off the source material they go to make him interesting. Because if we go strictly after the movies, Jason is just a man with a machete with inhuman strength and unstoppable. Which is basically Trapper.

This is the same cabin that they did for the unknown on an aniversary ive been told. Along with rift hints im thinking its a second unknown chapter
While I think a second Chapter like All Things Wicked would be cool, because Sable is without a doubt one of the most popular Survivors and Unknown is a fun Killer, if this would be the Anniversary Chapter, a lot of people would be very unhappy with it.
-
The combo does not really need a solution, it is not like it is too good. They are also not the most popular Perks with being the 29th and 32nd most used Perk (according to nightlight). And honestly, with people complaining about Diminishing Returns killing off Build variety, killing off another Build does not really seem reasonable.
IMO the Perk Combo is too situational anyway, sure you will have infinite Stake Out Stacks when you go against a 40m TR Killer on a smallish map, but you will not really get that much if you are on a bigger map against a 32m TR Killer, let alone a Stealth Killer. On the other hand, the Metaperks for Survivor grant value more consistent and are used more often because of that.

And survivors and pick up downed survivors and have more time to do it then hooked survivors having 240second vs the 140 the have on a hooked survivor thats literally over an entire generator of difference. Also if everyone is slugged survivors have the agency to go next unlike the killer where a single hidding survivor can hold the killer hostage for the whole time. And all the killer can do is look for a survivor just like a sligged survivor can just wonder around looking for a survivor to rez them.
If a Killer is slugging for the 4K, 1 Survivor is slugged and the other one is not slugged. But tell me - if a Killer is slugging for the 4K at 3 Gens left… Would ANYONE question that they won? Even if that last Survivor gets their pity escape? Which might not even be happening, since the Killer has ALL advantages in finding the Hatch, the Survivor can basically only get lucky.
Plus it makes 0 sense to try to rescue the Survivor on the ground at this point. The game is not winnable in a 2v1. It is stupid that the correct move is to be the antimate and let the other person die. IMO the person on the ground should be able to abandon in a 2v1. Would free one person from wasting their time (and potentially the other, since they then can abandon too since they are only with Bots, which would also then lets the Killer abandon if they want), while still letting the Killer slug for the 4K.
And well, yes, the whole team can abandon if all are slugged. This is true. But, and I already wrote this, this still takes touble the itme it would take Endgame Collapes to tick down and while the Killer can do things when Survivors are waiting at the Exit Gate (using their power to gain some BPs, breaking Pallets, forcing the Survivors out), the Survivors can only crawl around at the slowest speed possible. So it makes sense that they can abandon, since the Killer has still a lot of control at their scenario while the Survivors have next to none if all are slugged.
-
This is not really helpful, because we can only guess what is happening. What steps have you taken so far? What is your hardware?
First thing you should do is verifying the game files. This might already solve it. Second thing is to check if all your drivers are up to date.

Idk hyperfocus gets used a fair bit. If you're good at great skill checks it can really give you a bump, synergises well with fogwise too
Yeah, I forgot about Hyperfocus. It is alright, personally I think it is too situational to get consistent value. You need to have Stake Out with it and for that you need a Killer with a large Terror Radius. Sure, if you end up on a small map and have infinite Stake Out Tokens because you go against Wesker, it is really great, but once you go against a Nurse on a big map, it will not grant that much value.
-
I mean, what exactly do you mean? Killer Regression Perks or Survivor Progression Perks?
Killer Regression Perks are viable, you are fine with equipping one or two or you can go the easy route and use four. Which one depends on the Killer you are playing and the rest of your build, e.g. on Killers who need to break Pallets I prefer Brutal Strength and therefore like to use PGTW over Pain Res.
Gen Progression Perks in general are not viable aside from Deja Vu (plus Resilience, but I would not really count that as a strict progression Perk, since I think it is mostly taken for the vault speed). The rest is pretty bad, mainly because their numbers are too low or they require to play in a suboptimal way due to activation conditions (e.g. Prove Thyself requires you to work with another Survivor, which overall slows down Gen Progress. And something like Overzealous lets you spend more time cleansing a Totem than you would realistically get out of the Perk).

@KhrisCo said:
I wonder if they could change pallet density based on MMR of the lobby.
This would not really make sense, unless there is a mismatch in MMR (high MMR Killer, low MMR Survivors or vice-versa).
A high MMR-Killer can deal with more Pallets more easily than a low MMR-Killer. So if there are less Pallets spawned because the Survivors have high MMR, the Killer will have a very easy time if they are also good at the game.
Meanwhile if a lot of Pallets are spawned because the Survivors are low MMR, the Killer will struggle because they are also low MMR and cannot really deal with a lot of Pallets (e.g. by breaking every single one of those unsafe Pallets like many people are apparently doing…).
It would only make sense if the Survivors are low MMR and the Killer high MMR, because more Pallets would help the low MMR Survivors. Or if the Killer is low MMR but the Survivors are high MMR, because then less Pallets will make it easier for the Killer. But aside from mismatched MMR, it would not really work.

Most likely because they wanted data for those maps. But IMO they should not boost the maps in this case, because you will drive players away if you have 50 maps or so and they play the same 4-5 every day. Not really worth it for the extra data you might gain from that.

And people still regurgitate this nonsense.
- Dead Hard is easy to bait out.
- Resurgence is somewhat countered by Gift of Pain (or Weeping Wounds).
- StB isn't used often.
- Just don't tunnel when DS is in play, go for the unhooker instead. The unhooked will most likely waste 60 seconds doing nothing.
- Deliverance is niche as hell. You rarely get value out of it.
- Flashbangs are unreliable, unless you are literally standing out in the open.
- Flashlights are super easy to play around.
- Pick up time and moving to the hook can be worked around with certain perks.
- Run Blood Favor if you have trouble with pallets.
- Just hit the bodyblockers, damn.
- Breakdown is RARE as heck.
- We'll Make it.. Rare to see as well.
- Babysitter. Also rare to see.+ slugging is usually done by Killers who can handle all those things mentioned. I dont see M1-Killers or in general Killers from B-Tier and below slugging a lot, even if those should be the ones who need the pressure way more.
Slugging is done by high A-Tier or S-Tier Killers. Those who dont care about the sorry excuses Killer Mains bring why slugging would be necessary every game at 5 Gens.
