  • Sadly this is what I feared - some half-baked changes which do not address that Nurse is a really outdated design and should not exist in this state anymore. And sadly the Devs are too scared to change that.

    On a slight positive note - I did not use Starstruck or anything and play her without Add Ons. The only thing changing for me would be that the sound queue might be annoying.

    Nurse still deserves a complete Rework. Not some Nerfs which dont change that she is by far the best Killer in the game.

  • So, you want Plague and Legion to have even more Slowdown?

  • Survivor-Icons and Eyrie-Changes. Those are obvious. I also expect an Eruption-Nerf, because BHVR would be crazy if they leave this Perk in the current state.

    Otherwise, I dont expect much. I am hoping for a Swamp-Rework, because the Map got disabled a few months ago, because it had some spawns which should not happen and I always have the feeling that stuff like this is them working on Maps, but messing up something.

    I dont get your Perks tho, except for Eruption and Call of Brine:

    • Nowhere the Hide - the only issue I see here is that it powercreeps a few other Aura-Perks, but other than that, the Perk is fine. It is currently stronger, because kicking Gens is so strong, but if Eruption and Call of Brine are nerfed, you would not need to nerf Nowhere to Hide as well IMO.
    • Circle of Healing - again?
    • Adrenaline/Hope - who asked for this? This is really the first time I see those Perks mentioned (aside from those people who want Adrenaline and in general every Survivor-Perk which is better than Sole Survivor nerfed). One less Perk during the game and Adrenaline might not even have any Impact. There are so many times where I get it while fully healed and not in Chase, which means I am faster for 5 seconds and can reach the Exit Gates quicker... Which is not that huge.
    • Off the Record - for what? As long as the Perk disables when you do anything to progress the game or when you reach Endgame, it is not that much of a problem. Furthermore, it resolves around Endurance, so not really that good, since once Hit removes every Endurance you can get. And the Killer even gets a Tell that the Survivor has Off the Record, so if they dont want to deal with that, they can just go for the Unhooker (or just tunnel through it, the current Anti-Tunnel measurements are more of a mild inconvenience and far from effective)
    • Prove Thyself - the Perk is not even that good. If you want to reduce the usage, just remove the Bonus-BPs and almost no Survivor would pick it. And I prefer Prove Thyself over other Perks IMO, because it means one less strong Perk the Survivors can bring AND they group up on Gens. And multiple Survivors on one Gen with Prove Thyself is still better than mutliple Survivors on multiple Gens at the same time.

    Also dont really get why Medkits and especially Toolboxes should be nerfed. Toolboxes are not really an issue anymore since they dont have that much charges. And Medkits are basically the last strong Item which is left in the Survivor-Bloodweb... I mean, I dont care if the Devs nerf either of them, if this also means that they remove A LOT of Bloodweb-Clutter from Survivors which nobody uses.

  • In general, I am in favor of an Action-Speed Cap. I think it would be an easy solution to some things which the Dev had in mind and tried to fix in other ways. E.g. Botany Knowledge reducing the Charges of Medkits. Because Botany Knowledge in itself is fine, the Speed Increase is fine. But if you stack Botany Knowledge with green Medkits, CoH and all the other stuff, it becomes too fast.

    And a Cap to this would solve this, without needing to nerf any of those things, which become too strong when combined.

    Same with Killers like Plague and a Build like Thanatophobia, Plaything, Pentimento and whatever. The result is Gens taking far too long, which should also be capped.

    However, the effects (less tunneling) will not happen. Killers dont even need to stack Slowdown that hard that they reach any Caps. Killer is already the easiest it has ever been and while I agree that outliers (on both sides) should be capped, it would not change anything.

    The problem is more that tunneling is currently way too easy, one Hit after the Unhook and the Survivor has no OTR anymore, no Basekit Endurance, no BT, no DH. And since DS is really bad now and not really used, they can just pick up the Survivor.

    And this would not change if you remove extrem outliers.

    I was wondering why some of my games were literally unplayable and others were perfectly fine, but that clears it up. Thanks for pointing that out

    If you connect to both London and Frankfurt, yes, this is the reason. I only connect to Frankfurt, so I have not experienced any Rubberbanding.

    And I guess others can only connect to London, so they have Rubberbanding very frequently.

  • MDR or Compound 33, Black Incense also really close.

    @Pulsar said:

    In terms of total power?

    Probably MDR or C33. Both make already strong Killers absolutely busted.

    In terms of relative power?

    Probably Judith's Tombstone. The ability to just kill a Survivor is EXTREMELY strong.

    I dont think Judiths Tombstone is that strong. It is the weaker of Myers Iridescent Add Ons and you basically have to run both Iri Add-Ons with Judiths Tombstone, because otherwise you can just take the Tombstone Piece instead.

    I never hated RPD. I'm fine with it. I am on the short list of people that didn't think it needed a rework.

    That Borge map is ten times worse to me. I despise that map.

    I totally feel you.

    I did not have any problem with old RPD, I only disliked it if I played like Huntress or Billy, but this did not change with the Rework, since using the Chainsaw is also clumsy on new RPD and playing Huntress is not that much fun as well (like on most Indoor-Maps).

    And as Survivor, I highly dislike the easy 3-Gens which can spawn, mainly when the Main Hall has two Gens.

    Also really dislike the Borgo-Map, and I think the majority of players on both sides really hate it. They somehow managed to make a Map which is not only bad gameplay-wise for both sides, but also looks ugly as hell.

  • @Distortion_Enjoyer said:

    It's so bad that you cannot even move, DC is the only way, but i wish they had some sort of ping indicator in the lobby so we can dodge

    Yes, no real logical reason to remove it. I mean, aside from those rubberbanding-issues, it can happen from time to time that you get connected to a Server far away. And it is not really fun if you load in and realize that everyone (Killer AND Survivor) have 200 Ping...

    They should not have removed it, but I doubt it would have helped with this. Since mainly the London-Server in EU seems to be affected (I connect to Frankfurt and I did not have any rubberbanding at all), it would just result in players not being able to play at all, since they will most likely end up on the same Server again.

    I had a game that went on for a full hour yesterday on Shelter Woods. Three generators spawn very close to each other in the corner of the map with barely anything but a few trees and a few rocks around them. The Knight never left that part of the map and with a boon set up at the opposite corner it turned into complete stalemate. We almost got one done a couple of times but the Knight just kept sending his guards to the furthest gen he wasn't at and then going to it afterwards with Eruption, COB, Jolt and the aura perk that shows people around a gen. If he did down one of the survivors, everything was back to zero. It was so stupid and not the first game like this against the Knight. Surely playing like this isn't fun for the killer either?

    Just wait for some people to come to you, telling you it is your fault that you put a Boon up on the other side of the Map and that the Knight was not totally holding the game hostage.

    "Surely playing like this isn't fun for the killer either?"

    It probably isnt, but since MMR is up and it is basically confirmed that a 4K is a win (since it is based on Kills and Escapes), many Killers seem to prioritize 4Ks over actually having fun. And the result is some Knight-Player holding the game hostage until the Time Limit, just because they cannot stand the thought that they might not get a 4K.

    If theres a three gen the survivors havent done their job right; they gave the killer a three gen. You've basically screwed yourself over and blamed anything but yourself. Pathetic.

    I just love it that this gets parroted so much.

    If the Killer decides they want to keep a 3-Gen, there is not much the Survivors can do about that when it comes to other Gens. What does it matter when Gens outside of the 3-Gen get 99ed instead of finished, when you cannot repair the Gens in the 3-Gen due to bad gamedesign?

    And there are some 3-Gens which are really hard to solve, the one on Dead Dawg around the scaffold or the one on Haddonfield around the Main Building, just as two examples.

    A couple weeks ago I was on YouTube looking up old DBD gameplay. It really did seem like a totally different game. One of my favourites was an old Tru3 video. It surprised the heck out of me watching him be stealthy around the edges of the map, and giving advice on being careful with scratch marks etc. You watch him and other streamers now and they're just running and scratch-marking all over the place lol

    To be fair, Stealth is not really viable anymore. The Maps are so bright that it is hard to hide and most cosmetics which get released are also not really viable for Stealth. And those which were have been nerfed in that regard (mostly Claudettes Cosmetics).

    And to be honest, the old feel and looks of the Maps was way better.

    If you use placebo tablet with no perks, you're playing the worst version of Blight there is.

    Then you should really not expect to win.

  • You will have cheaters in every game. And usually they increase around the weekends, because Support is slower these days to ban them.

    So just logical that there are more over the Holidays, because they can run around more freely before getting banned.

    But this is what BHVR said themselves - it is an arms race, whenever they fix something which can be abused, the people who create the Cheats are looking for other ways.

    It gives 10 extra seconds to you. It also gives 30 extra seconds to 2 other team mates

    I always take it with my friends at it turned a lot of times a possible 3/4ks in at most 1ks

    I mean, you name it - it is a Perk which might find use in an SWF. But if you are Solo (or I would even say, anything below 3 person SWF), the usage is really limited and not really worth to pick.

  • @Seanzu said:

    Reassurance is utterly useless as it is, the time to get to from the generator that I hope you're working on 5 - 10 seconds, to pause my timer for 30 seconds, and then make your way back to the gen 5 - 10 means all it gives me is 10 extra seconds, if that, and if you're playing solo and can't communicate you're going for the safe then other people get off gens it's even more time wasted, at least previously one person could sit there and proc it multiple times until chased away, affording the chance for a save.

    Since Reassurance came out it's been used on me less than 10 times and I'm pretty sure people just used it to use it.

    "Since Reassurance came out it's been used on me less than 10 times and I'm pretty sure people just used it to use it."

    This is my experience as well. Whenever I see Reassurance being used, it is when the same Survivor is unhooking me anyway.

    Which is a shame, it was basically the Perk this year where I was really excited. I would have totally used it and dropped PTS from my regular Build. And it would have been possible to save "hostage"-Situations with it, even tho I think those were just a cover-up for the complaints, which mainly came from Killer Mains who suddenly feared that Survivors might not have fun anymore...

  • @Firellius said:

    Never. It's an anti-camping perk, and that's only allowed if it doesn't interfere with camping. They specifically gutted it so it wouldn't work against camping anymore, and now you want to buff it so it might be able to do a thing against the most egregious form? Don't be silly!

    This is so accurate, I am tempted to create a few Multi-Accounts to like it more than once.

    (@Mods - this is a Joke, pls no ban :( )

    Whether that tells you more about the Killers or the map design is up for debate

    But the amount of slowdown people want to bring does seem to have kept creeping gradually upwards.

    "But the amount of slowdown people want to bring does seem to have kept creeping gradually upwards."

    Because stacking Slowdown is the easiest way to play Killer.

    Why even bother thinking about a build which somewhat compliments the power of the Killer, when you can just slap on the same 3 or 4 Slowdown-Perks, which work on every Killer? (Which is easier AND probably more succesful)

    If you drag out the game long enough, every Killer can win, because even if the Survivors are better than the Killer, without any ressources, they will go down pretty quickly.

    Furthermore, I think the reveal that MMR is based on Kills and Escapes has drifted the game more into "I want to win" than "I want to have fun". So players are more inclined to use the really strong stuff so that they can say "I am at high MMR", even if this does not mean anything, since MMR is not working at all. (at least the currently implemented version)

    So players, and I feel especially Killers, since I see more variety in Survivor-Builds latey, just slap on 3-4 Slowdown-Perks which are not that fun to use, but lead to more 4Ks, than just using Perks they like and have fun with and maybe get less 4Ks.

    Personally, I think that the person making the decisions has no idea what their game is because they don't play it themselves.

    I mean, this would be a reason why Eruption made it into the game. They clearly did nto playtest it (or at least not enough).

    @Topic:

    Seriously? People STILL complain about Hyperfocus/Stake Out? I have not seen any of those Perks in my games for weeks. Because they are not good enough to be used.

    Hyperfocus/Stake Out was decent when you encountered Wesker in 9 out of 10 games and when those 9 out of 10 games happened on RPD. Killer with big Terror Radius + small Map = many Stake Out-Stacks to protect the Hyperfocus-Stacks.

    Whenever you did not end up against Wesker and on RPD, it did not do much. And since both variables are not as common anymore (RPD is back to normal in the rotation, not everyone runs Wesker anymore), you get less value out of Stake Out and utlimately Hyperfocus.

    Maybe dont rush to the Forums when you just lost a game and have seen the 1 in 100 chance that someone actually runs this combo...

  • You dont motivate people to play SoloQ by making SWF horrible to play as. If SWF is no realistic option anymore, I would just quit the game. I did not play SoloQ for months now, because I simply cannot stand the thought of having to deal with 3 Muppets running around doing nothing. I like to have at least one person who knows what they are doing.

    But why does it make it difference if it's from one or two teams? BHVR owns the licence for both games and the main-platform skins get released on mobile too.

    You can basically say they are different games. Yes, both are called Dead by Daylight and both follow the same principle, but because the Core-Game is run by BHVR and the Mobile-Game is run by NetEase, they are basically different games.

    Maybe it will be possible in the future (they asked about it in their most recent Survey), but I would doubt it unless anything is announced. I guess NetEase has freedom with Cosmetics and other things and this is in the contract.

    (An example I like to give - World of Tanks has a Chinese Server. And this Server is really different from the other Servers, because it is not run by Wargaming. The game is the same, but there are other Tanks which will most likely not be in the Core-Game. E.g. vehicles which are simply OP, but you can buy them with real money (aka Pay2Win). Or in general that some tanks can be bought with real money... And this is possible because the Chinese Server is not run by Wargamig itself. So because the Mobile-Version of DBD is not run by BHVR, I would not really compare it to the BHVR-run version)

    I mean if the Killer has time to kick Gens then Eruption is a good perk (so is Call Of Brine)

    It has a cooldown of 30 Seconds- so every 30 seconds the Killer can kick a Gen and start Eruption

    10% regression apon downing a Survivor- yea but it's needed getting any regression at this point takes perks

    25 second of Incapacitated- yes this is a bit to much but they need to keep it in the game

    This is not how Eruption works. The Cooldown starts once a Survivor is put into the Dying State. So you can kick multiple Gens and all of them will be affected by Eruption once a Survivor is downed. And THEN the Cooldown starts. So in the end, the Cooldown is only 5 seconds longer than the time the Survivors are incapacitated.

    Furthermore, the Gen keeps regressing while the Survivor is incapacitated, so there is a bit more progress lost than 10%.

    @Topic:

    I think old Ruin/Undying was worse, because paired with Tinkerer, it took ages to get it cleansed and being able to work on Gens AND finish them.

    But Eruption is more obnoxious, since you cannot do anything for 25 seconds. With Ruin/Undying you at least were able to cleanse the Totems eventually. It was stronger overall, but less annoying to deal with IMO.

  • What exactly do you mean?

    As Killer aka slugging to death? Sucks, but nothing you really can do about that. Some form of speedup when there is no way of getting rescued would be nice so that you dont have to bleed out the full 4 minutes, but thats it.

    As Survivor? Like, getting out and leaving others on the Hook?

    The thing with that is - yes, it would be nice if everyone would get out. But this is not possible sometimes. And the people who are not on the Hook have the same right to survive like the person on the Hook. Nobody is entitled to get saved. Especially because sometimes I see players running AWAY from the Exit Gates and getting hooked really far away from them. I am running BT, so there is a full 20 seconds of Endurance and Haste, but even this will not be enough in those cases.

    And at this point, it is just hook-trading. When it is not likely that both players get out, why even trying to hook-save? At best, it is a trade, at worst, both are dead.

    sad that not even all features (like visible heartbeat) were mentioned

    Regarding the visible Heartbeat - when they changed Spine Chill they mentioned that this is something they are planning, so I think this is the reason why they did not ask about it.

    killer shouldnt be punished for 10 seconds because injured survivor runs back into the path a killer who wasnt even trying to go for them. DS is also used offensively, these absurd stun times would only encourage people to try and get hit and picked up which isnt tunneling then and yet the killer would still have to eat an absurd stun. No thank you.

    Your not getting tunneled half the time anyways, your playing poorly.

    Oh, and if a Survivor runs at you with DS active, they are also forcing you to pick them up?

    In regards of Map Pressure, it is the same if you slug them or hook them... 1 Survivor less on a Gen.

    Sadly this is my feeling as well.

    Icons like those should have been done years ago and they will probably help. But it will not change the fact that some players just dont do anything.

    I have seen games were two Survivors were on a Gen, the Obsession got chased (Claws moving AND just got injured) and still none of the two got me before I reached second Stage. Despite all Information available.

    And I expect that I will see a lot of time that Survivors dont do anything or waste their time doing Chests or stuff like that.

    I don't believe you because most killers that run these legendary 4 regression perks are in the red grades it's the only stuff like that belongs in higher grades,you said average which means you're somewhere between the gold and ash ranks.Which means those dudes only play with killers you buy with shards and bunch of ghostfaces.You are asking for buffs in a pleading way.

    Also anyone who has been playing this game knows you need to climb out of the lower ranks fast to have better games and casual players don't even want to be in the red ranks so they purposely kill them selves and buffing solo que want make somebody from DCing,it want make them from not going down,it want make them come save you,it will still be the same and swf will only have another tool.

    But you know that Grades have nothing to do with Skill? Grades just show how much someone is playing, not how well they are doing.

    So there is no thing that people with Red Grades are the best while people with Gold Grades and below are really worse.

    Didn’t the devs revert DMS/Pain Resonance? I don’t see why they can’t revert DS.

    Yeah, but they reverted DMS/Pain Resonance because Pain Resonance had a problem with Merciless Storm. When you get hit by Pain Resonance during the phase Merciless Storm was active, you keep having Merciless Storm Skill Checks until the Gen was completed.

    Here is a video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM98v5lbfjk

    Because initially, Pain Resonance would not let the Survivor leave the Gen when it activates, which killed the Combo with Dead Mans Switch. But since this was even worse, they added it back again, which made DMS/Pain Resonance a thing again.

    So it is not like they really wanted to bring that stupid Combo back, they wanted to fix an even worse combo they created.

    You'll still see a red bar appearing in the lobby if someone has bad ping. It can show up for your own surv, killer or any other surv in the lobby. Just look for it and DON'T HIT READY WHEN THERES AT LEAST ONE READ BAR. Sometimes you need to wait out the lobby countdown as the red bar sometimes only appears at the end of the countdown (for some reason). Not perfect, but still better than the old peer-to-peer system.

    Yeah, but this is not really realiable or only shows up when the Ping is REALLY bad.

    I ended up in a game a few days ago where everyone had 120+ Ping. (I saw the Ping of the other Survivors and the Killer said after the game "######### was this Ping?", so they also had high Ping)

    This happens when all Servers in your region are full, so you get connected to another Server. Most likely some Eastcoast-Server, filled with 5 players from EU. And neither of us got a notification in the Lobby.

    @Topic:

    Agreed. At the very least, the own Ping should be shown. But it should also show the Killers Ping, because in the end, even if I have great Ping to the Server, it does not matter if the Killer is having a bad Ping.

  • @indieeden7 said:

    The thing about The Game is the fact that the number of pallets is probably to compensate for its ludicrously low number of windows, the map has 7 windows (I think), only 4 of which can be vaulted from both sides. If they were to rework it and remove pallets, they'd have to add quite a lot of windows as well.

    This.

    Some Pallets are also to compensate for Dead Ends which are created by the closed Doors which are only open when the Killer breaks a Breakable Wall (which most will not do, since it is bad for the Killer) or when the Gen next to the Door is completed.

    So in the short term, they would need to get rid of all breakable Walls and remove the Pallets which were added to compensate for them.

    This would make the Map a bit better for both sides, but still leaves it with only safe Pallets to work with as Survivor.

    And to counter this, the map needs a complete rework, as stated - remove safe Pallets, add unsafe Pallets and a lot of windows. This would mean that the Survivors have something to work outside of safe Pallets and Killers have to deal with less of them. Furthermore, there would not be entire deadzones once the safe Pallets are gone. Still not really something to work with, but a window is better than nothing.

  • @Xernoton said:

    Sadly there are players that will never use these anti-tunnel perks as they are meant and that's why buffing them will backfire.

    It happened with DS and now it happens with OTR. Using them aggressively incentivises tunneling beyond reason. If I have to eat your DS anyway, why wouldn't I tunnel you out, then? OTR is the same. Someone gets unhooked and if the killer doesn't hit them, they will be healed and go for a 2 hit bodyblock.

    There is a solution but not everyone is going to like it. The killer gets an incentive to go for someone else and OTR makes survivors lose their collision with the killer completely.

    "Someone gets unhooked and if the killer doesn't hit them, they will be healed and go for a 2 hit bodyblock."

    This would mean that the Survivor is not doing anything for 60 seconds and in those 60 seconds, they get healed by a third Survivor (assuming that the Killer goes after the person who unhooked the Survivor who now has OTR) AND gets into the Chase and all of that in 60 seconds.

    I mean... This is a bit of a stretch.

  • The thing is, OTR is the best tool against tunneling, but it is not really good. All Anti-Tunnel measures which are somewhat meaningful (this does not include DS, this is a joke at this point) resolve around Endurance. And one Hit after the Unhook and ALL of them are gone - the Basekit-Endurance, potential BT, potential DH, potential OTR. So there need more measures which are Anti-Tunnel, but dont use Endurance.

    Reverting the DS-Stun to 5 seconds should be a minimum that should happen. And in fact, it should have increased its Anti-Tunnel capacity once they nerfed it that it cannot be used in Endgame (which was totally fine). Because a DS which deactivates on anything AND is deactivated in Endgame AND is at 5 seconds was nothing anyone complained about. But, as we know, to "change" the Meta, some Perks just got nerfed into Oblivion to make them unattractive to use. DS is one of them.

    In the end, current DS grants the Survivor around 7 meters of distance. The Stun is 3 seconds, 1,3 seconds are used for the animation, so 1,7 seconds can be used for distance, which results in around 7 meters. This is barely anything. If I see DS used in games (by other Survivors or against me), the Killer really catches up way too quickly.

    IMO DS can be changed to let the Stun Time be depending on the number of Gens left. Number of Gens x 2 seconds = Stun Time. So:

    • 5 Gens left --> 10 Second Stun
    • 4 Gens left --> 8 Second Stun
    • 3 Gens left --> 6 Second Stun
    • 2 Gens left --> 4 Second Stun
    • 1 Gen left --> 2 second Stun
    • 0 Gens left --> deactivated

    This would punish a Killer very heavily who wants to tunnel right at the start to turn the game into an easy 3v1 which the Survivor cannot win anymore. But once the Killer needs a Survivor out of the game, because they lost some Gens, DS is not that useful anymore. E.g. at 4 seconds it would be barely stronger than now and with 2 seconds, it would basically be useless.

    This would also be in line with what Killers say when they say they HAVE to tunnel. They will be able to do so, when the game gets close for them. But if they try it earlier, there is a harsh penalty for it. (And no Killer HAS to tunnel at 5 Gens and if they get a 10 second Stun because of this, this is completely their own fault)

    But yeah, the bare minimum would be to buff DS back to 5 seconds. But, this will not happen, because then people would play DS and the Devs did not "change" the Meta.

    IW is fine it its current state, but every survivor's voice should be the same volume. I really don't understand why it was never obvious to the dev team.

    I mean, even with the quietest Survivor (Ace) Iron Will can become useless if the Killer just invested a tiny bit in their Headphones. And we all know, if they readjust the volumes, they will not use Ace as an example, instead Ace will be louder and other Characters like Ash and Jeff will be more quiet.

    And in the end, this will not change anything, because the Perk will still not find any use, because, again, if you are not playing against some Console-Killer who uses their TV-Speakers or Killers who use 4 Dollar-Headphones, it does not do much. So if they adjust the volumes of all Characters (and I guess they will do that), it is once again pointless work for nothing.

    And personally, I think it is totally fine that different Survivors have different volumes. It just makes them more unique and it makes sense that big guys like Ash or Jeff are louder than smaller characters IMO.

    @Topic:

    The Double-Nerf only happened because they wanted to remove Iron Will from the Meta. The goal was not to make the Perk playable, this happened to a few Perks which just should be removed and not see any use (on both sides). So you cannot really argue with logic here, but the Devs will never admit that they nerfed some Perks just for the sake of nerfing them. Because this would make their "great" Job in "changing" the Meta look stupid.

    Personally, I think it would have been justified to make Iron Will inflict Exhaustion, but reduce grunts of Pain by 100%. This would still be a huge Nerf, because you would not be able to pair it with any Exhaustion-Perks. But I think it would be a really good Trade-Off and would also lead to more variety - you want to use one of the strong Exhaustion-Perks? Then you cannot use Iron Will. You want to have a really good Stealth-Perk? Then you cannot use any Exhaustion-Perk.

    This would also not be bad for Killers. If they see a Survivor using Lithe or Sprint Burst, they would still know that this Survivor cannot be silent in Chase. If they chase a Survivor who makes grunts of Pain and did not use any other Exhaustion-Perk, it is quite certain that they have DH. And if they chase a Survivor who does not make any grunts of pain, they also get the information that this person does not have any Exhaustion-Perk (e.g. no need to wait for DH).

    It really does seem like there's a disconnect or at least a poor feel for what players will find fun. Even with patch 6.1, who playtested Eruption and thought it was healthy? I don't know if it's a lack of internal communication, being out of touch in general, or what. But it's bizarre to see obviously DOA content released year after year by the same devs in the same game. I get monetary considerations, but I'm not paying for chapters anymore at this point. I didn't pay for Dredge or Knight. The quality is somehow worse with every chapter despite the game being monetized more and more.

    Agreed.

    But somehow it mostly happens with the last Chapter of the year. Those are also the Chapters with the most Bugs. Which leads to the conclusion (at least for me) that the time before December is really stressful for BHVR, which leads to a rushed Chapter with lots of Bugs.

    And when it comes to design, I think that they test their stuff, but I dont think they do it for a longer period of time. E.g. if you just play a bit and test Eruption and get hit by it 2-3 times during testing, you might not see the issue. But the players have to deal with it way more often in the end.

  • The Survivor does not have to kill themselves. Their goal is to survive. The Myers on the other hand can easily kill the Survivor. Yes, they wont get their Achievement, but they can end at the game at any time.

    So yeah, the Killer is holding the game hostage.

    Horrible patch. There's only about 2 perks from both characters I could see myself ever using consistently, Fogwise and Nowhere To Hide. The Knight might be one of the most skilless unfun killers they've ever created, which is saying something when Hag and Nurse exist. The design of the Knight is cool, don't get me wrong, but the various bugs and horrendous color scheme on the new map have made this a solid 0/10 for me.

    They need to reassess their whole content cycle. 3 months is clearly not enough time for them to push out quality designs.

    "They need to reassess their whole content cycle. 3 months is clearly not enough time for them to push out quality designs."

    I would be so happy if they slow down to 3 Killers per year, so one every 4 months. This is still a lot of content coming out in each year, if they also bring 3 Midchapter-Patches and stick to 4 Tomes each year.

    I guess some people would even be fine with 2 new Chapters each year and the other 2 big Patches would be Patches working on the game itself. But I doubt that BHVR themselves would be happy with only 2 new Chapters.

    3 new Chapters each year is a good middleground. Because there is not really any value in 4 Chapters, if at least one of them is a total failure like Chapter 26. (In General, the Winter Chapter is always lackluster... This goes for The Knight, The Artist and The Twins. Just Oni was an exception...And before that it was Legion...Yikes)

  • Disappointed.

    Vittorio is a cool charakter, I like him and his style. IMO way better than Haddie or Jonah, who were the original Survivors before him. However, I really dislike this sexualization of Characters and that BHVR plays with the community simping for one of them. For me, this simping is really weird. I mean, yeah, they did Hooked on you, which took the simping for some characters to a new Level, but this was so over the top that it was funny.

    But Vittorio does not come with one, no TWO shirtless Cosmetics on Release. Sigh.

    His Perks are also not really good, so gameplay-wise nothing more than another Character to bring to P9 and then only play him once in a blue moon.

    When it comes to The Knight, I am even more disappointed. His Perks are alright, especially Nowhere to Hide is strong and Hubris is nice. But that is the only positive from my side about him. For years I wanted a Knight-Killer, I was really looking forward to it because it is an obvious Choice to bring a Knight at some point. And I really like his design (minus the hair of his Helmet and that his Legendary Skin looks loke some WoW-Peasant). But I like the Sounddesign, you can really feel that someone is walking around in heavy Armor.

    But his power is just so boring. I have him at P1 currently and it is really hard for me to go forward. I dont even think strengthwise he is that bad, but his power is just so boring to play and play against. Like, I dont have any fun with this Killer on either side.

    And it really hurts to see that they FINALLY bring a Killer I really wanted for years, and then it is just a huge pile of #########.

    EDIT: And I also dont like the Map. It just looks so cluttered with Junk.

    His Add Ons need some love as well, some are way too specific. The thing is, Hillbilly should not have Chargetime Add Ons or Cooldown Add Ons. Those should not be a thing at all, they made Billy really easy to play back then and were way too good. (brown Chargetime and Cooldown were just so good and did not cost anything)

    why? whats wrong with killer having decent add-ons? furthermore, what is wrong with billy being easy to play? His skill-ceiling is not that high but you still need to know what your doing to win with him with said add-on's. I think billy's pick-rate would be 2x if he just had 1 decent charge time add-on without conditions to trigger or drawback.

    He is not hard to revive. He is one-step away from being a solid choice. I think its sort of bad that he is not good because he is one of the free killers that comes with the game and there should be a free strong killer that is easy to pick up and get good at.

    Yeah, nothing wrong with a Killer who has the best mobility, an easy to use Instadown with not much punishment AND Add Ons which make it even easier to use and the punishment less impactful.

  • Yep, Skill Issue. Because I am doing the Objective while another Survivor goes down while I have no idea when this happens and dont have any control over that.

  • When you are incapacitated you can do almost nothing except for unhooking other Survivors. Nothing else works, you cant even pick up Items. When you get hit by Eruption, you can just stand around for 25 seconds and do nothing.

    The Cooldown is also laughable, it is barely longer than the time players are affected by Eruption.

    Eruption is a bad Perk-Design and Incapacitated should be removed (except for things like Victor). There is nothing fun when you are unable to do anything as Survivor for minutes through out a match.

  • I get where you are coming from. Wraith with his good Mobility can use those Perks. On top he has the Iridescent All-Seeing, which makes it easy to identify which Gens to kick. And 3 Gens are even easier to create and defend with this.

    But the problem are the Perks and not Wraith. If you would nerf Wraith to the ground, you would just have a lot of upset Wraith-players who are not even using those Perks. But you will have 29 other Killers who still use the currently horrible Killer-Meta.

    His animations/camera actually used to be a lot more accurate, they were changed a bit before his rework and never really brought back to where they were before. That paired with his tinnitus inducing chainsaw rev are a big part of how absolutely disorienting he can be to play now.

    IMO this is the main reason why there is a drop in BIlly-players. They decided to rework his animations shortly before the Power-Rework and it was just horrible. First of all, it was bugged and felt really, really awkward when playing. I stopped playing Billy immediatly when they did that and even when they fixed it, it did not really end up as smooth as before. You can negate this with Shadowborn, but not everyone wants to play this.

    And I think the animations and FoV removed a lot of the good Billy-players. The bad Billy-players were removed when they added Overheat and nerfed the Add Ons, because lets face it, it was not hard to kill Survivors by Backreving with Insta-Saw or with the old Cooldown-Add Ons.

    @Topic:

    IMO they need to fix his animations and FoV. This is the main aspect. Hillbilly does not really feel clean to play with the current animations and so on. This also included the Hitbox of his Chainwas, it is huge compared to what it used to be. This makes hitting Survivors easier, but it also makes it easy to hit every little twig when trying to curve or just using the Chainsaw for Mobility.

    So all the current Chargetime Add Ons should be reworked into something different, because to get the benefit you either have a big drawback or a very specific activation.

    LIke, I am only using Engravings and the brown Muffler in every game, because there are not many options aside from those, Lowpro Chains and maybe the two Iri Add Ons if you want to jumpscare Survivors.

    But in general, I am not sure if we will ever see an increase in Billy-players. In general, there are more options when it comes to strong Killers. You dont need to use Billy when you want a strong Killer, there is Blight, Wesker, Artist, Spirit... So many Killers which got released. So in general, the number of Billy-players would have decreased anyway.

    And last but not least, I feel that many players dont really play for fun anymore, but play to win (at least since MMR is a thing). And if you play to win, you just play Nurse. Why bother learning Billy, when you can just play Nurse, lose 5 games to get used to her power and 4K so many games afterwards?

  • Yes, healing just a tiny bit is enough.

    Personally, I like Aftercare, but that you lose the complete Aura Read after being hooked is a bummer.

    IMO it would be better if it works this way:

    Tier 1-->You lose the Aura Read to all Survivors when being hooked.

    Tier 2-->You lose the Aura Read to 2 Survivors when being hooked.

    Tier 3-->You lose the Aura Read to 1 Survivor when being hooked.

    It should be the Survivor(s) furthest away so that you just dont get the Aura Read back immediatly once you get unhooked.

    This would still mean that you have to do something before getting the Aura Read and you would still need to do something to get it back, but at least it is not lost completely after being hooked.

    Idk bout balanced anymore but they did say they were "happy with the state that the hillbilly was in" or roughly that before gutting his addons and making most maps a nightmare to play on.

    Also I found the statement

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5UA1TV1NEN66/image.png

    Yeah, I know this one sentence. This one sentence was the only thing people brought up why he should not be nerfed.

    "But they said they were happy with his performance!!!!1111"

  • They fixed the Incentives and enabled them again yesterday.
