Most of the nice guy killers have been pushed away from the game. We keep getting punished every patch to the point where it's just frustrating. That, and normal hook gameplay just isn't feasible when the devs keep punishing killers for hooking survivors (especially share the burden which affects all hooking, not just tunnelers) , so that just brings in more slugging.
Agreed.
The most frustrating thing for me in dbd is not losing a match. It is having no chance from the start. And that includes a nurse tunneling at 5 gens or survivors on coms tbagging at the exit gate. -

Frankly I don't want to have to make a game my job in order to simply not get my teeth kicked in with Killers I enjoy playing.
You will get humiliated either way. It's just a matter of time. And can you really say you had an intense good game if you do nothing but the cheapest tactic available? Can you reall feel good about it and be proud?
That's like going for mush potatoes because chips are too hard and spicy. You have teeth, so use them. -

Maybe you should just get good…
And not cling to shame tactics using old, salt-borne terms.
Aah the old "get good" argument.
I am learning to get better at looping and I know I am way better as killer then as survivor. The point here is that playing survivor is no fun if the killer is just an m1 brisket and has barely any clue how to chase or how to use the killers power. Whats the point of having a variety of killers if they all get played the same way?
And if you cannot win any matches without hard tunneling, well hate to break it to you but you lack skill then. -

…except for the fact, not everyone is like you, Atom. And not everyone wants to train to not be demolished in a game.
Tunneling at 5 gens isnt pathetic you literally have shoulder the burden which nullifies it. Maybe swap one of your 2nd crutch perks with it to cope.
Also, most killers wont tunnel at 5 gens, unless they notice you brought a map offering, 4x toobloxes or to many gens with progress. At that point it is crucial to tunnel for a minimum 2k…
and now you also have altruistic perks that counter hooking, slugging, and literally every single thing a killer can do to win. If you play alturistically instead of perks that benefit only you; maybe youll see a difference.
Its like complaining that someone played a easier music than you, when you also have easier music but decided to criticize instead of also using a easier piece
This is literally not true and you would know that if you had played solo q in the past few weeks.
I can assure you that most of the killers I faced brought map offerings, played A or S-Tier killers and brought meta builds. Or all of these together.
Your analogy about music doesn't make much sense to me.
If you can't win a match without tunneling hard, then you lack skill. It is that simple. If you don't want to get better at the game, why even bother playing? If you don't want to get better and just play casual thats fine by me. But if you want to win so badly that you cannot do anything without tunneling, then I expect a little commitment from you as killer.
It is well proven that it is not that hard in most cases to have a fair amount of matches regardless how skilled you are. There are always bad matches because of mmr rubberbanding etc but ultimately if you fake your way to the upper league then don't expect to get away with it.
These people brought it on themself, so face they need to it and try to learn from it. As I said if tunneling is your only strategy you will soon learn how frustrating pro survs can make this game for you. And you will not get anywhere from there it is a dead end. -

Also true, killer gameplay has been incredibly discredited to the point where if you dont notice a frame of a survivior for a second, or fail to win a 50/50 mind game your called terrible despite having countless hours in the game
If that is your only point go look at my other posts.
Tunneling at 5 gens is pathetic and nothing else. If you don't have any skill, train.
it's like complaining playing more complex music is unfair because you don't get it from the start -
Something like this has been proposed many times before. It is hard to balance things in dbd because there is causual, swf and comp.
BHVR struggles to balance because they can't deceide what kind of game they want dbd to be. If you increase the time too much the game will feel very slow and boring to survivors as a good long chase will consume resources and the reward with gens taking that much time is low. So everybody would start prerunning and hiding again.
On the other hand with the current meta gen's fly faster then ever before. You can solo a gen in 22 seconds and depending on perks and items in 15 seconds with 2 people.
While a survivor making a mistake can be outweighted by the team carrying him, a killers mistake can cost you the match and can only be outweighted by extreme game sense or survivors making a mistake.
Increasing the gen time seems necessary to me but we cannot forget about soloq player who already have a really rough time playing dbd.
Decreasing the gen time if a survivor dies would improve gameplay but this can also be abused so it's an overall sensitive topic. -

In response to a question on the display of the scratch marks on the official X account in Japan, they replied, "At this time, we believe that the way the red scratch marks are displayed is normal. We have not been able to confirm any issues."
Does this mean that the feedback was insufficient and the bug was not recognized? Or has the way it is displayed itself been changed without us noticing? Since the Blood Moon event, the current situation in Japan where the scratch marks are scattered here and there and are cut off, making them difficult to track, has been a hot topic, and today, the official account announced that it is "normal," causing confusion in the Japanese DBD community.
Will they ever go back to the easy-to-see scar mark like before? The effect of the Predator has also been changed, so the scar mark doesn't seem to be very useful as a clue to find survivors. In particular, it has a big impact on some killers such as Spirit and Dark Lord, so I would like them to go back to the way they were before.
Its not different here in europe. Scratch suddenly became way harder to see and are scattered in weird patterns.
They lead to a path where the survivor never ran to and not the direction he did acturally ran to. It has been hard to adapt to that -
@legiondoctor said:
I know i said this before but im tired of seeing survivors doing the same strategy
Jump in locker>killer attempts to grab the hiding survivor> survivor drop flashbang>killer cant do anything> easy save
Also flashbang can hit killers who arent even looking around flashbang, it can hit you behind you, under you, or if you are looking up the flashbang still hits you.
Either make lightborn longer or remove the radius so the killer has to look at the explosion to get blinded
I think flash bang is semi okay BUT they definetly need it to make noise again. It is definetly not fair to throw one in front of the killer and it doesn't make any sound.

This post comes across as incredibly biased to me and makes me doubt how often you play survivor since you display so little empathy for survivor players.
Why do you so nonchalantly gloss over survivors playing in an annoying or aggressive way as just them being rude with nothing else to add, but then when you mention how some killers slug, camp and tunnel from the start of the match it is justifiable and understandable because "they're fighting a war and it's tough out there"?
What constitutes a bully squad? Is going for saves toxic? If a group goes for saves but don't click their flashlights or tbag, that can absolutely be considered toxic by a killer that isn't knowledgeable enough to counter it, but I don't think it is, it's just part of the game.
Why is survivors bringing strong meta perks and items implied to be a bad thing, while killers bringing strong meta perks is posed as a justified, rigtheous reaction to cruel survivors being mean to them?
And finally, when a killer BMs the survivors deserve it because they BM back, but what if they didn't BM back? Is it justified because the killer may have gotten BMed in their last match by other survivors? Maybe a survivor got BMed their last match and that's why they BM the killer, is that justified too?
I don't get this post.
I see now, that I should have phrase things more clearly. When reffering to killers having the necessity to tunnel or slug I was not talking about players who do this from the start and on purpose.
I started as a survivor main and then slowly progressed to playing killer most of the time. So I pretty much saw it all. The key point why I say it's the survivors fault is that I saw it happen to everyone I know who played killer. You start nice and normal and things go well. You win, you loose. Pretty normal. While your mmr improves you start to see more and more teams with more and more busted items/add-ons. While a killer can only level himself you only need 1 survivor to level to have an infinite amount of iri add-ons.
However after enough loses with survivors tbagging at the exit gate or after a pallet stun you start to play more aggressive and less for fun. At some point you have your signature build on your killer main. Playing other killers doesn't feel safe because of survivors taunting nonstop when you're not good with your killer.
I don't think any of us would mind loosing more often if the case was 'survivor leaves - gg - end of story' most of the matches however are exit gate dances, stalling and belitteling the killer in the chat.
And thats the reason you don't feel like playing weaker killers or play a certain way because why even bother.
I want to point out that I despise hard tunneling and camping and I have no respect for player who do this at 5 gens. -

Every time this comes up, the same counter argument destroys this line of thinking:
Why not let survivors see the killer? If the only concern is that people don't want to play against a sweaty team, then let's just show the Blight/Nurse right in the lobby and let them decide?
Because it's a terrible idea, and those players would just likely never get a match because of it. That's why.
So what?
You rather have people dc'ing ingame or killing themself on hook?
The only reason they don't see the killer is because they could have a full build to counter the killers power while the killer can only guess from the items if he want's to adapt his build. The advantage this makes for survivors is quite huge.
I get that nobody wants to play against another tunneling meta blight. But on the other hand nobody wants to play against toxic swf bully squads. Rarely anyone wants to play against comp squads too. -

Meg, Yui and Lara aren’t loud; they’re probably average.
Op is asking that all survivors are as ‘quiet’ as Ace and Ada, clearly. He’s not asking survivors are nerfed to be as loud as Ash and Jeff—two examples he excluded.
No you got that one wrong.
Having every surivor as quiet as Ace would be divious. I want to have a middle ground of loudness where all survivors are. No one loud af and no one super quiet. That's what normalization means. -
@Aven_Fallen said:

Almost sounds like facing a sweaty swf squad is no fun … I wonder why.
Nah for real OP is on to something. The difference communication makes is quite big the official stats show that too. However this game is not easy to balance but that is mostly because bhvr as a dev company is not very good and keeps tripping over itself -

The devs added the Bots for D/C players. Now the only reason to keep the penalty is to punish everyone who's not trying to go next, because the player will off themselves on hook, or sandbag their team for saving them. The D/C Penalty was good back when the game was lopsided on a D/C (3v1 or worse), but nowadays, it needs to go, so those that wanna go next can at least leave their team with a bot that might do gens and get saves and stuff.
I disagree.
If anything they need more timeout. I would say, have 1 for free per day but the next one is gonna cost you 5/20/60 minutes and on your 5th dc your done for the day.
We all know how useless bots are. So if someone dc's at 5 gens. Match is already tilted to the killers side. If you remove the penalty survivors would simply start an equivalent of lobby shopping. They don't like that map? Next, they don't like that killer? Next. He uses that add-on or perk or has hooked me first? Next.
The most concerning thing in this situation are still survivors throwing the match at 5 gens. So I'd suggest having more then 15 hours in dbd and killing yourself on hook is an equivalent ot a dc. -
The only thing I would change is that bubba goes into tantrum if he hits a survivor with endurance.
He can very easily eat through a dead hard, otr, wglf and even bt.
It is very annoying to get tunneled by a bubba because even if the anticamp bar let's you free yourself what is even the point?
The moment you touch ground you get hit and then you have maybe 3 seconds to get somewhere save. 3 seconds is not enough for most tiles or maps. -
They don't care. It's sad, but it's the truth.
It would be fairly easy to enable listener processes on servers to monitor the ingame movements and mechanics to check on cheats.
But they would need cpu, ram and to be developed in first place. No profit. So they create another fortnite skin collection. Big profit -

Having a negative badge on your name would lead to players dodging you more often. This builds up pressure to "cleanse" your name and play the game "better".
I would also suggest that survivors can see the killers badge in the lobby (to keep it fair).
BHVR doesn't want people dodging. That's bad for matchmaking, it messes up the lobbies.
I think survivor badges that can be earned are good, as long as they're only shown on the end game scoreboard and not before the match. I'd like for survivors to be able to earn a badge or badges by playing as a team. No negative badges, only positive. Encourage team play.
As killer, I don't want badges. I want the game to be balanced and to reward and incentivize killers properly. As someone who prefers to spread out hooks, I don't want a badge. I don't want the game to thank me for playing nice against my opponents. Something about the very idea of that annoys me. If you play a game with someone, do you want to be thanked for not trying your best to win? Or with the hatch thing, yeah, sometimes killers give the hatch, but the game shouldn't reward them a gold star for doing it a bunch; that's a case-by-case thing, it shouldn't be treated as an expectation. The killer is not a babysitter, they're not playing Connect-Four with their pre-school niece and letting her win, they don't need to be patronized with stickers designed to imply "thanks for being nice while playing the bad guy role."
I get that messing up queues is a bad thing but I honestly don't think it would have that much of an impact on the average players. You can find matches fairly quick once you noped out of a lobby.
The bigger impact would be on players who bring negative energy to the game. (Obviously the automatic system would need to work well for that)
If you can't find matches quick you either stop playing or have to reconsider your playstyle. Both benefits the game experience. (but not so much the profit of bhvr selling more fortnite skins, so another reason why this will never be implemented). After all I think it is good if people who bring bad energy have less of a chance to spread that energy and are more likely to waste their time.
A little gatekeeping to keep the toxicity out could even the ground (which is currently just lava). -
To clear up the confusion (which I didnt thought would occur).
When I mentioned the game having all the necessities to track behviour I meant the system to be automatic. No player involvement.
You can remove a badge over time by playing different.
And honestly after just playing one match today, where a blight player hard tunneled at 5 gen's against solo q with one insta dc (so 1 v 3) I just think we need something more "aggressive" to adress the issue.
If people see the killer has a tunnel badge they will dodge him. So if he hardly finds any matches he is pressured to not tunnel anymore.
I don't think luring them with benefits to not tunnel will work better, because after speaking to that blight in the aftergame chat I'm convinced he lacks the brain capacity to understand the core issue. Not meant to sound rude but he didn't see any problem with his playstyle (I guess he never plays survivor) and simply said "equip anti tunnel perks or ask the devs to create comp and casual queues".
With a badge telling you the killer tunnels or camps survivors would at least have a chance to equip anti tunnel perks before the match. -
@Fthat said:
Why not just show the survivors auras the whole game. This game is unplayable as a solo survivor now with all the exposure perks. No more money will be wasted until it is balanced back out. You rarely have a chance to save anyone so everyone just hides and waits to be last or worst -stops playing. Cashless cow. Moooooo
If your entire game falls with one perk, you are the problem.
On the other hand I agree, that a lot of issues and bugs are not getting the attention they should and it feels like bhvr is rather making another Feng Min cosmetic instead of addressing cheaters. -

Yeah, I didn't want to be the one to first bring it up, but something about seeing a post where someone got a 2k against a ridiculously stacked SWF with a not-top-tier killer and is asking for survivor nerfs just felt weird.
I don't know if you guys did not really read my post till the end but to clarify a few things.
This is my strongest setup. Midwich Dredge is one of the most lethal things you can encounter in dbd. The build is my strongest build which complements my way to play Dredge the best. I've played this killer for a long time now and main him (I don't invest many blood points in dredge so maybe it doesn't look that obvious).
I had 3 hook stages when the last gen popped and got the 2k beacause of noed.
Now why is this a problem? Well if I go with the strongest I can and only get a very close called draw with a few hook stages…. Imagine a neutral map. Imagine a survivor sided map.
In a perfect world the ods should be "Strongest surv builds vs strongest killer build" is a draw no matter which map (leaving the 60% killrate aside for a moment). The map however is not part of the killers or survivors build and is therefor not part of that equasion.
This means that IN GENERAL I don't have any chances against these survivors. I know Dredge is very dependant on map rng but this also mean that it is ridicilous op on Midwich. I had to go full force for a close 2k on noed. Believe me it doesn't feel like a draw.
I would've lost big time on any other map and thats why the stacking is a problem. It moves the bar of what is possible to far to the survivor side.
I usually avoid the midwich offering for that exact reason. It tilts the whole game in my favor to a point where survivors barely can do anything.
So when a map is able to tilt the game that hard, it says a lot that stacked survivors not only outweighed that completly but they almost got away with it.
It shows that they were outpowering one of the most broken setups in dbd which means they will win almost every other match. -
@adam1233467 said:
Even if they haven’t these builds you would still lose, you got 0 anti gens perks
For me the dredge is the ultimate chase killer. So my entire build is focussing on fast chases, finding the next survivor, keeping them injured, pressuring nightfall.
It's just the way I play. I don't want to sound arrogant but I got pretty good with dredge and do win most of my matches before noed even get's revealed. What you see here is actually my go to build I won the most matches with.
The core issue for me in matches like this is the stacking of everything in a swf squad. I don't need free wins, I just don't want to feel like the game is rigged form the start. Besides that, I don't think gen slowdown would've done much in this scenario either.
Midwich dredge always is a true nightmare and I don't think I ever escaped that myself. So them getting 2 people out is a statement. -
@[Deleted User] said:
It can be annoying if you aren't prepared for it, but this is the exact thing SBMM is intended to mitigate. That squad will face killers with a similar win rate if they're running those builds consistently.
DbD is an arms race when people want to win. Look at it from their perspective too. They faced a Dredge with its best map offering running NOED. That reinforced their belief in their builds just as much as their builds made you thankful for NOED.
I've certainly complained about loadout stacking before. It's problematic on a certain level. But I imagine they have to look at it from a numbers perspective relative to the dev resources that would be expended. At what point does loadout stacking really start to affect win rates? Is that worth dev resources to address?
I kind of get what you want to say but as long as maps aren't balanced and 4 toolboxes with brand new parts on top of 4 gen builds do exist it actually makes quite a big difference.
The amount of syringes and stiptics is also skyrocketing.
So you can either say sbmm is very poorly implemented or the system is not well designed for comp. Both statements would be true as in comp they make up rules because the default balancing is not doing the trick.
Is dbd for fun or for comp? Because lately it feels like people are forgetting about fun and are sweating like in a sauna. This goes for both sides obviously -

Maybe your model counts as the object of obstruction?
Damn that would be a pretty problematic way of setting up the game in general but it might be true :o
-
@radiantHero23 said:
As far as I know, this is related to sound occlusion.
We had similar problems before, but this one has been present for a long while now.
As far as I understand it, if something is blocking the path, the sound takes, it will stop right there and not make it to the player, resulting in no sound whatsoever.
This is obviously bad im dbd because a lot of decisions are made based on sounds.
Another awful contender that should be looked at are generator sound in buildings or rooms.
Raise your hand if you visited the house of pain on Badham to check for noises, left it because nothing made any sound just for the gen to be finished mere seconds later.
Problems in like this effect gameplay the most and should have higher priority when big fix patches come around. I have no idea why this is not the case.
I mean I would understand that from the logic of a bad algorithm but apparently this flash bang related bug also happens when im not looking at the survivor. Either he uses it to flash bang safe or drops it behind me I never hear it
-
@BorisDDAA said:
I really don't understand this. You're winning matches over and over so the game puts you against teams that are also trying to win with every tool they have but you don't like it if there's opposition?
Challenge is not the issue in this situation. It is just overall really boring to end up on the same 4 maps over and over again. These kinds of survivors will fall like flies or even dc when they don't get their map. They are on auto pilot like with WoO.
Map offerings in general wouldn't be a problem if maps were balanced but unfortunately they aren't. So unless you wan't to play Midwich Nurse/Dredge and call it a fair game the core issue here is that always heavily survivor sided maps are picked.
It get's boring then annyoing and finally frustrating.
Playing against good surviors is not the issue, maps are.
Also winning is not always your main goal. You don't need to win at 5 gens or 0 hooks to have fun in a match. So having a full out comp battle every match is tiring. Which makes this even more annyoing is that a lot of surivors don't respect killers anymore and try to annoy the killer player with toxic or (what I like to call it) gremlin moves. -
Lethal is fine

remember when old dead hard was a thing. That perk used to get so many complaints and rightfully so. However people brought up the fact that once that perk got nerfed killer players would move on to the next perk to complain about. Lithe, a perk that was never ever complained about before, now is one of the perks that they complain about. Same with windows no one was complaining about this perk until like a couple of months ago. The devs have been nerfing maps lately and yet they still want windows nerfed. This community is a joke
I have to disagree here. There have been complains about most of the problematic perks almost as soon as they were released. Personally I have been complaining about the state of windows since it reached it's current state.
It's just that there was no trend around it. Most of the time a perk becomes a trend when it either is completly broken or some influencers create a trend by showing how "funny" it is to abuse it.
Now we never had that situation with windows as nobody would make a video about the "abusive potential of windows" when there are perks like head on and flash bang in the game.
But still the perk gets a lof of attention because even streamers with 10 k hours in the game use it very frequently.
So in my oppinion a perk complain becomes loud the moment a trend around it arises. And it is natural that when a trend ends a new one is created.
The image of two factions batteling each other (killer/survivor) needs to end. We are one community and most people play both sides. -
@Nazzzak said:
Because when they lose they need something to blame. They see WoO frequently so they assume that's the reason they lose. It's the same with all the popular survivor perks complained about. The devs can nerf WoO but there will be a new complained about perk not long after.
Honestly that is the most sorry excuse I read so far. You basically say "everyone who complains about windows is a killer main and has no idea how the game works on both ends + theyre bad"
The ignorance in this is stunning.
There will always be people who complain about certain perks/add-Ons/killers/maps you name it. It has always been like this and will probably always be. Just because people are complaining doesn't mean you can collectivly ignore it because you don't want to see their side.
When you play long enough you will realize that the perk is at a problematic state and makes the game not only boring but it provdies the survivors with enough information to burn more of the killers time basically for free. One perk slot is not a lot for the value it provides. A bad chase can cost you the game and there is no way anyone can deny the fact that in general chases are longer with WoO users.
So is it the ultimate Perk to win every match? of course not. But does it provide a huge set of crucial informations for a survivor? Absolutely.
@Ealanos this is for you too.
What I think is very funny in this debate is that people where outraged about UW. Not by the fact they scream but because of the blindness. All of a sudden WoO didn't work anymore. Survivors actually had to use their brain. You cannot imagine how funny it is to see survivors throwing the game because they can't without windows. I tested this with uw and Hex Third Seal. I couldn't believe how the once so competent survivor was suddenly running around like a headless chicken. Not to mention the amount of dc's. -
@theonryo123 said:
I am not understanding that at all. I don’t think the perk is broken nor it is a problem at all. All it does is reveal locations of pallets and windows that’s it I’m not understanding the issue of why people hate the perk so bad. Plus in my personal opinion I don’t think it needs a nerf because every chapter update there’s a guarantee a new map so i don’t think it should be nerfed. Plus new players who need to learn the map and game should use WoO often. I am a killer main myself I main onryo and I don’t have a single issue with survivors running WoO. If your a killer main and if you have an issue then your just complaining for no reason. Plus killers have literally the same perk called zanshin tactics it literally does the same thing
If the perk was designed for beginners they shouldn't hide it in a dlc.
That being said it is the most used survivor perk period and across the board. "All it does is reveal locations of pallets and windows" yes that is exactly the point.
It has no condition to activate, works unlimited, has no downside, has no cooldown and it shows a survivor every chase related resources in the game, which is the highest value you can get as survivor. Delaying a down and burning the killers time is the most important thing a survivor can do. With this perk a survivor is guaranteed to extend the chase.
That is the reason tons of people even in high mmr use it.
Outplaying WoO is not possible with every killer so you either have to take the time and burn through the resources or leave.
Zanshin Tactics does not have this effect anymore but even if, what value does a window or a pallet has to a killer? A killer cannot fast vault and knowing that ther is a pallet a head might only deny the stun sometimes and thats it. A killer doesn't have much value from that perk.
If you don't have any issues well then you're either not high mmr or you are the king pin of Onryo. Either way just because you don't struggle with it doesn't mean tons of others people are not allowed to complain if they struggle. -
I actually like the idea. The reveal mechanism is already very weird and doesn't work well. So when somebody reveals me from behind 3 cars it should have a negative impact on this player

I started playing survivor after getting bored of killer after about 4k hours. As killer I play very forgiving. Make an effort not to tunnel or do anything toxic. Usually let one or two out if they make me laugh. I just wanna have a good time and meme. Usually results in some pretty funny post game lobbies.
However, switching to survivor has been rough and very unenjoyable especially without friends. With friends its only tolerable because were prone to goofing off mid game. Like running chest perks to pile as many items in a spot as possible. But its been bad even in Halloween queue, which to me should be about letting loose and Halloween cheer. I just had four TTV players in a row, 3/4 played via tunneling and heavy slugging even at 4-5 gens. Its been so bad lately, not just today that I've had to run full anti slug and anti tunnel builds.
My perspective on tunneling and slugging. I get that sometimes its necessary. Sometimes a dude goes down in the open and you got several flashlights swarming you. I get that with tunneling ya gotta get out that toxic player that's ruining it for everyone, which is a common excuse to tunnel. But by doing those actions outside of when its necessary, you're just as bad as those toxic survivors and bully squads. You are intentionally playing in a manner that you know is miserable, unfun, and creates hostility in the community. For example the last match i played against a streamer it was a huntress. 4 slugged all of us to let us bleed out. Kept letting us wiggle of to drag it out. We gave up but it kept happening until all but one bled out, then it was a mori. Before that, the streamer proxy camped and tunneled as Leatherface at 5 gens.
so I need to know. What is the mentality of intentionally playing in a manner that is problematic? Why is there the sentiment of "Im not responsible for your fun", yet get mad when toxicity happens to you? To me its just a circle of toxicity that's really killing the vibe of the game.
I started as survivor only but slowly transitioned to only playing killer.
Soloq is not a good experience most of the time and killers used to tunnel a lot for no reason.
When I played Killer for a while I noticed how the game keeps getting less and less fun and more and more stress.
Half of the time I have to deal with swf squads with the sweatiest builds in existence or straight up bully squads. And 90 % of all matches somebody throws a map offering for either Autohaven, Badham, Eyre or RPD. It is so boring.
Cheaters in dbd. Once you developed muscle memory for your main killer you will notice that there are tons and tons of sutbile cheaters in this game. It is really frustrating when you have to fight of waves of cheaters who then tbag that the exit gate when they got out.
Overall toxicity in this game reached a level where I decided that I no longer wanna participate. I stopped playing for 2 Months, came back for 1, stopped for 6 Months, came back when Dracula released and last week I decided to take a break again. -

so in solo que how are we supposed to know when or where a pallet has been dropped by someone else across the map?
You are never supposed to know. That's the point. If you were supposed to know it would be basekit.

It's not fair if we don't nerf the popular survivor's perk too.
And why can't the delayed effect perk be enhanced to a strength that can compete with the current repair speed of generators?
Is it wrong for a killer to go for total annihilation?I consider this game to be a competitive game, not a party game.
And while you are quick to weaken strong killers and perks, the perks and combined heinous effects of survivors tend to be left alone for long periods of time
The case of corrective action is a good example.
The development team should be more serious about balancing the game and surveying a wide range of user opinions.
I'm willing to die on this hill but they absolutely should nerf windows of opportunity into the ground. It is the most used survivor perk for a very long time and across the board for all mmr ranges.
It provides a huge amount of advantage to survivors to the point even new players can double their chase time. -
It may sound odd but if you are on a map with bad locker placement, it is crucial to defend gens with lockers nearby. Don't focus on the others too much. Dredge needs to be played a little different because of his unique power. The element of surprise is very important for you. So if you prioritise gens with no lockers nearby it is most likely that you will not win the chase or defend the gen

- The ability to trade/sell unwanted bloodweb items for either bloodpoints or other higher addons. No one needs 3000 brown medkits. Those could be traded for a fraction of the bloodpoints spent on them or several of them could be traded for a higher level medkit.
- The ability to see your progress in the game in each of the 4 categories. This could either always be on the top right or maybe even toggled on or off for those who do not want to see it. They flash by so fast that I never get to see what I need to do in order to get the most bloodpoints I can.
- Introduce some kind of penalty for survivors that hide the entire game and don't do objectives, especially when there are only 2 survivors left.
- Perk Randomizer in the main game for both survivors and killers. It would be very fun for streaming. Make it part of the game as an option.
- Raise the Bloodpoint cap to enough to Prestiege 3 a character 4 to 5 million. This would help for when BHVR comes out with a new character that we really want to play!
- Let the Daily Rituals repopulate instantly once one is complete. Or create a set of challenges that repopulate once the challenge is complete. Something to keep us in the game.
I'd like to add a button to "Spend a Million" and instantly increase to the next prestige. Get a prexied amount of all add-ons. I still spend too much time in the blood web

It is an interesting idea but any mechanic that can be abused or weaponized will be weaponized. I cannot count how many times a survivor was annoying on purpose so I hit his "off the records" and ds

God this game is so stale with nothing but aura reading and pain rez. Every game is the same rarely does anyone use anything different.
Its almost like we have this disussion every few months. First they nerfed chase perks so Killers moved to Gen slow down, they then nerfed that too so Killers moved to aura reading.
Now you want them nerfed too (which is fair for 2 of them). If that happens what vaule does any perk provide? With gens fyling in 15 to 25 seconds the options for killers are really limited. I don't say aura reading is best but all that leads more to tunneling. We need some common ground. Slightly nerfed aura reading perks and massivly nerfed gen speed perks.
Matches are sometimes only 7 minutes. I am not Wesker but I feel like very fast matches are more stressful then 12 minute matches. -
@buggybug said:
I think all killer aura read add on should be gone and all aura perks should get pain res treatment. So all aura read killer perk should only be able to use 4 times max so killers should not have unfair 24hours free information and also they should only be able to use 1 aura reading or add on and can't stack them just like how survivors lost ability to stack endurances.
So basically make every perk killers have so useless while buffing gen speed into oblivion so killer will start tunneling for a living because there is nothing that helps them anymore.

Please revert Distortion back or make the time in chase less as there are Killers whose power lets them ignore chase time through speed or instant downs. The Killer can also just not engage in chase which makes the perk no longer controllable by the user and solely rely on the Killer.
Change is controversial and might be changed but they should never ever switch it back to the old version.

Then the next logical step is to delete Windows of Opportunity, revert Iron Will, ban lightweight and make quick and quiet single time use only. Survivors need to learn to look for resources and escape chases on their own.
I mean, don't complain if killer wait 20 minutes for a game and survivor dc/suicide in first 30 second The game seems impossible to beat when you are a survivor and when you use distortion you can see that every killer sees you almost every time.
How the duck can I "brain" a killer on a loop if he sees my aura every time.
I play as killer too, and the game is very easy on killer, and don't say it's because I'm low mmr, BHVR leak stat and high mmr survivor has same winrate in soloq than average player and same loop time (stat from bhvr official on this forum for winrate see Febuary)Well the killer is not going to see your aura every time. He would need an entire build to see your aura on specific actions like fast vaulting (I'm all ears) or when he kicks a pallet (Thwack) or a gen (nowhere to hide). Besides I'm all Ears you will know where the killer is because of the sound and can leave the loop because the killer needs time to perform the action. So the aura reading is not giving him much in that situation. The only issues I see is weaves and the new Sanshin. I don't know why they thought that was a good idead tbh. Also my first sentence was just a lot of sarcasm :D

whats the problem with windows?
I think it's usefull for beginners as they need to learn to recognize resources and tiles that are shaped the same across the maps. But at the same time it turns off the brain of a lot of survivors. Just like when you are driving your car with google maps all the time and one day you cannot use it and are completly lost because you forgot to learn the streets.
If I use a build which blinds the survivor (running a build like that is tiring) you notice that almost all of them are like deers in headlights. They don't know where to run as they usually just go for the next resource highlighted to them so chases end very quick. The second problem I see is that almost every survivor runs it thus making chases kind of unfair on higher levels. These survivors know how to loop but still run this perk almost every match, leading to chases that are much longer then they should be.
My problem here is that a single perk shows the survivor not only every resource in its reach but also it's status (pallet dropped or broken). This perk works as soon as the match beginns, has no downside, no condition to activate, never deactivates and is basically providing limiteless value for free.
The value you get from it depends on the experience of the survivor but even beginners can double the chase time with this perk. Imagine what high level players can do with that.
I don't think any perk should provide that much crucial information for free. The only counters to this perk are Hex Third seal (the worst hex perk in history) or ultimate Weapon.
The effect of both perks will not apply long enough to make good use of it. So in the end there is no real counter and you see them running to pallet after pallet to window to pallet. Which is kind of annoying considering the chase wouldve ended 30 seconds ago because they would've not chosen that path without knowing about the resources.
I think I said it earlier. No perk should grant huge advantages for free. And seeing every loop resource is a huge think in chase. -

i will gladly take a chase, and i am sure i speak for most survivors when i say we are not scared of the chase we welcome them, we are just tired of having aurora revealed for completing all basic actions in the game. Spawning in, picking up an item, opening a chest, dropping a pallet/ getting a stun, escaping a chase, opening a locker, completing a gen, unhooking a survivor. And these are just off the too of my head i am missing many many more conditions where the killer does nothing and gets aurora value.
You better speak just for yourself.
If you are not afraid of the chase then whats the problem with being seen for a few seconds?
As I said problematic perks will eventually be reworked (weaves is on the list). So most of these perks are not a problem to the majority of the community. Only to you.
Just like windows is only a problem to a small group of people (I am part of that group xD ).
A killer can only ever have 4 Perks as you know. So if he has a full aura reading build then he lacks gen defense, chase aid, endgame support and basically cannot use his entire build during this part of the match.
I said it and I will say it again. Aura reading perks are limited, bound to conditions and are not an op tool to easily win a match.
They have the potential to throw you under the bus, sure, thats what they are made for, but they can also backfire or provide no value.
The only use for them is to either win a mindgames (which is very rare, might change after Sanshin Tactic rework is live) or to look for your next target for a chase. The only other benefit you have (if youre good) is to guess where all the survivors are based on the information you just got. So that way you can surprise survivors out of place or change your strategy.
Overall, they don't really provide a ton of value. -

lethal pursuer? No action. Bbq chilli? You were gonna hook them anyways? No where to hide ? You have to kick the gen anyways. Weave? You do nothing most killer aurora perks require no steps or procedure you just wait and see. Iron maiden ? What did the killer do to see my aurora? Nothing. Survivors auroras are revealed by preforming every basic action, even spawning in a match reveals my aurora!
Lethal Pursuer only triggers once in the entire match. It is to put pressure on survivors fast at the start of the match. So you use 25 % of your power to MAYBE get a quick chase at the start of the match and thats it. Barbecue only works if the survivor is further away then 40 meters. If you know a killer has it you can hide behind a gen or in a locker to outplay it. No big deal. Nowhere to Hide? Well press 'w'. It is that easy. By the time the killer kicked your gen you already left the radius. And no not everyone kicks gens. I rarely do when playing dredge because it is my ultimate hunter. So there is no time to kick a gen. Iron Maiden shows your location with a scream but doesn't reveal your aura.
You easily forget, that the killer has to do something to achieve a few tiny seconds of aura reading. Which is powerfull if used right but useless if your strategy is not working. If the killer is having a long chase he has no value from his entire build. Thats the weak spot auf these kind of builds. Most commonly used aura perks have a condition related to chasing a survivor or even winning the chase. It is not for free.
Kicking a gen gives you distance and costs time the killer may not have to waste at this point. I don't see your point. -

so you have a problem with survivors getting value out of distortion without having to do anything? Well lets take away all the killer perks and addons that show my aurora without them having to do anything. Thats all aurora perks for killers are: value without doing anything. So why take away my counter. Even with three tokens i cant charge them faster than you can reveal me. Before the change it was a gamble wether to bring it or not, now the perk is just dead. I think an effective change would be to charge 3 tokens with completing gens.
Cool, take weaves if you want, it is the only perk that (pre ptb change) guarantees aura without the need for the killer to do anything (aside from lethal pursuer which can only trigger once). Every other perk has a condition to activate, a timelimit and sometimes even multiple conditions.
You act like you are scanned 24/7 in a match. I guarantee you, if you don't use multiple aura reading perks, you will never ever burn through distortion fast enough to actually see the survivor using it.
If you use up all your stacks while being so far from the killer that they can never recharge it kind of is your fault.
You are way to addicted to the idead to never be chased because of one perk.
Your propose would buff distortion. Using up to 15 Tokens in a 7 Minute match is nuts. Even in a 15 minute match it means seeing nothing half the time. And that needs the condition for aura perks to constantly being triggered.
You don't want balance, you wan't an op stealth perk so you never get chased. -
@Yamskeezy said:
You made it a waste of a perk slot. How many times a match do you think your aurora is revealed a match? Imagine a killer With a weave atunement franklins demise and two other aurora perk build. The aurora will be revealed like 20-30 times a match and now you are lucky to get 6 hidden auroras a match (two before each hook). Unless they have new predator you escape chase and lose a token you were better off bringing a different perk. 3 tokens was very fair, but now two tokens only getting it back in chase just made this a waste of a perk slot. I am a survivor main and run distortion heavy. It is a niche perk, some games it doesn’t proc at all and i waste a perk slot or some games i thank god a brought it. On matches where killer has an aurora build all 3 tokens are gone before the first gen. Nerf aurora builds good killers dont need wall hacks. Survivors have their aurora revealed for anything, spawning in a match, unhooking a friend, going in a locker, completing a gen, taking protection hit, weave atunement franklins demise is also busted. Bbq chilli, no where to hide, and now the new predator perk. With new predator i will get two tokens back in chase then lose one as soon as i escape chase, that is sad. Distortion is nerfed to garbage tier perk. Make it so you still have 3 tokens but recharge them doing gens. So survivors have incentive to do the objective. Now instead of people hiding you sill have 3 survivors trying to steal a chase wasting time trying to get their distortion back instead of doing gens.
It is kind of arrogant to speak about an ingame mechanic as "hack". Distortion counters countless perks and add-ons all at the same time for a duration of 10 seconds while hiding your scratch marks on top. So basically to stay completly invisible you only need one perk and could counter the entire killer build.
It was problematic because you didn't need to do anything to actually get value from it. So huge advantage for free and recharge is kind of free too.
That position is impossible to defend. Nobody should rely on a single perk alone (well Windows users for sure do) and that is your key problem. You are getting dragged out of your comfort zone and you don't want to adapt.
Fair. Doesn't feel good. But so do killers if they want to have fun with orbital huntress and they see nothing the entire game.
In the end it's about balance and distortion was unbalanced in some way. If used effectivly you were invisible for the killer the entire match and that needed to change.
The change is controversal and while being a fan of the nerf Im also not the biggest fan of how it got nerfed.
You said "good killers don't need auras" well these people could tell you "good survivors don't need stealth, just get better at looping". Bhvr seems to push the game in the direction of more chases because thats what the game is about now. It did shift from hiding and searching to this and it is that way because matches became extremly fast over the years.
We will have to see how things work out in a few weeks and if it really is as bad as you make it look like.
Because if it really is too bad, bhvr will rework it. (except for windows they are super blind on that eye lmao) -

stop crutching on wall hack builds, good killers dont need it.
A "wallhack" build always requires some action from the killer. It's never for free. So most of the time you run without auras. If you really equip 4 aura perks you have nothing to help you in chase, no gen defense and no endgame help. The sentence "good killers don't need this or that" is pretty much what is heard every time but you need to understand that all killers work differently. So maybe good killers don't need these perks or don't need 4 gen slow down perks, but in the end, they have 4 slots and they can decide how to split the power.
Just dropping "Good killers don't need that " is ultimately saying "I think everyone who runs aura perks is bad". I can guarantee you people like ultimo bushido and a lot of nonfamous killer players will prove you that they can wipe the floor with you (and me). It just sounds like a childish stubborn try to make killers play the way you want them to play and thats never going to happen.
You see Windows of Opportunity on almost every survivor out there and just saying "good survivor dont need this" may apply on maybe tournament level players but still a lot of good players use that perk too.
So instead of trying to make killer play the way you want them, learn how to outplay certain builds and perks.
