  • I love it my only thing I'd personally think would make it pop I'd add like a noose or a strap to the neck to make it a little more darker and more Dbd style

There are a few key issues with this killer:

    1. Mobility around hooks:
I have never seen that many campers since the facecamper Bubba ages. With his leaps the Ghoul can interrupt any unhook easily without loosing too much pressure. His power should not work without downside around hooks. The dredge for example get's a short cooldown when using the remnant around hooks and can't enter lockers beside hooks. So I suggest leaps either have a cooldown around hooks where the Ghoul cannot attack or the Ghoul cannot leap at all in a 16 meter radius around the hook. Also if the Ghoul enters the 16 meter radius his enraged mode should be canceled.

    2. Canceling power
I think this part of his power was not thought through well.
The Ghoul can leap very far distances, even leap in front of a survivor enabling a bodyblock from a ressource and if he then cancels power the survivor has nothing to work with. Now this may sound like an tech or something you need to learn but it is not hard to do at all. So basically you cannot run him on weak tiles and never in the open. The fact that he can cross that much distance possibly bodyblock and instantly attack makes it quite impossible for most players to make a play.
Here I suggest a longer cooldown after canceling power before the ghoul can attack again. Much like blight cooldown. Simply seeing that the Ghoul is comming your direction with the visual indicator is not much help.

    3. Hitbox
The hitboxes or action windows of the Ghoul are very forgiving. A lot of hits I have seen so far were beyond reason. Either a wall a pallet or entire buildings being in the path the Ghould still hits its target. You don't even really need to aim for a survivor because the window is just that forgiving.
I suggest decreasing the action window and decreasing hitbox possibilities.

If dbd is about skill then the Ghoul is bypassing this a little bit. People with thousands of hours getting killed fast by low experienced killers is a strong indicator that the system is tilted.

This is so sad he just released and you already have complaints it's like you wrote this years ago

Just wait until you start playing vs survivors who you cant end a chase in 5 seconds against. Once survivors know how to loop you and how to deal with you, if they are bring the meta perks you are going to struggle hard.

I already go against experienced survivors including decent streamers and swfs but it doesn't mean anything i will always say GG

  • @StalkingYou said:

first of all, YES the anti-slug surrender option is fine and cool. not gonna talk about that.

the roadmap has another segment in phase two which talks about "anti tunneling and anti camping"

and I wonder, when will the devs get the message that killers are doing these things because the whole "play nice go for multiple people" idea has been probably the most bullshit thing in the history of this game?

killer literally does not have the ability to do that against any competent team because KEEPING THE GAME A 1V4 MAKES THE GENS FLY. has nothing to do with skill, despite what many community members will tell you.

also yeah, keep nerfing tunnel/camp because we haven't been doing that every update. survivors get new meta perks to use against it nearly every chapter along with basekit features to counter it, guess it is still not enough.

we've nerfed nearly every slowdown perk the killer has and the expectation is for them to play even NICER.

its also only seen as a problem when the killers go for their objective quickly, not the survivors of course. where's my "anti-genrush"? oh wait "genrush" is fine because that's just the survivors doing their objective right, but when the killer does the same without bending their back over to make the match "fun" for everyone else then they're an evil toxic tunneler and deserve to be punished with EVEN MORE.

I see nothing on this roadmap hinting at buffs for play styles that are "healthy" such as spreading hooks around and going for multiple chases. If that's the way they want people to play the game then BUFF THOSE STRATEGIES, stop NERFING the other strats that people use because the first one is terrible.

killers try to play nice, every gen slowdown which allowed this to an extent is nerfed. killers tunnel/slug because the "playing nice" strategy sucks, we introduce 70 things which impede them from doing that. killers dont wanna even hook anymore because it enables like 20 different survivor meta perks? yeah, lets nerf that too. if you want us to behave in a certain way then maybe start giving the carrot instead of relentless beatings with the stick.

That was a whole article to basically say stop nerfing killers and nerf survivors instead??? I'm not a great killer I admit that but I win at least 70 percent of my killer matches with fair gameplay rarely do I slug but when I do it's in last ditch effort to keep survivors on their toes at the exit gates. When I play survivor there's 3 gameplays I face, 1 slugging all 4 survivors off the bat, 2 tic tac toe killer with a 3 gen, and lastly the tunneler strategy. I don't mind that they are all common moves cause they are effective if you wanna win but to make it all there is in DBD is hurting the game more than anything and with the broken MMR new players quit before even starting cause the painful startoff experience and makes it so no new blood is added to the pool

I mean I don't agree with how he said it but he generally has a point. BHV was way more interactive back in the day and listened to suggestions and feedback from community streamers etc.

Atm, at least in my opinion, that isn't really the case anymore. Tons of changes that noone asked for that get a lot of negative feedback from killers and survivors and still they stay in cause BHV decided that they do. Can understand the frustration somewhat

Thank you for understanding my feelings I just don't care for being so negative without an actual rhyme or reason

Make it gain tokens from breaking pallets and then make pallet breaking faster ~8% per token gained up to ~48%, its not instant but its so fast and snowballs quickly forcing them to find the totem or drain a ton of resources

    Your a genius

Bear crawl knife in the mouth or holding it in his fist while using their knuckles on the ground. And in terms of animation just make sure the knife has a point, and a serrated edge, that way you have a stab, slash, and saw for 3 different animations for how you would damage a survivor.

Absolutely amazing ideas and tell me if this perk idea ( Hex bend thy will) this perk will allow you to collect stacks by downing survivors. For each survivor put in the dying state you gain 1 token and upon 6 tokens reached you can break a pallet instantly until your totem is broken

  • @LordGlint said:

Unfortunately they are pretty adamant against introducing anymore general perks, so your idea of free boon perks are kind of a bust.

But it could provide a very menial boost but at the same time it can also be helpful like a boon that gives us the ability gain small amounts of item charges back like 20 percent charges and then you have to run out again before you can refill those charges. After like 2 times you'll gradually get less back until you only get 10 percent back

  • @bjorksnas said:

I think a killer simply having the ability to go 4.8 for 3 seconds as a power (5% haste basically) is just, not that interesting of a power, then choosing the status effect isn't really much of a choice, as mangled is much more powerful of a status effect than hemorrhage at least in direct effect. Even if you tried to synergize it to make hemorrhage better other killers would then overlap into just doing it better. So they would need to standout if they could deal a status effect of their choice or have balanced choices.

Most tiles and structures can be looped as a 4.8 like its looping a regular killer survivors would just need to use resources faster which isn't that big of a deal when the killer has no other real passive effects or slowdowns other than 4 seconds longer to heal.

I think a better design route you should ask yourself is what kind of movement isn't one that we have seen before, and what kind of numbers should it have / reward. Something like billy has very slow turning so it goes very fast and instant downs. Something like demo goes very fast and winds up very fast, but it has limited distance. Ect. You can very easily make a movement based power with a speedboost as a windup to help position something big, we haven't really seen that done before

So heres an example of something you might make instead along those lines using a power like this

Scurry, upon pressing the right mouse button you lower to the ground and move on all fours, for up to the next 3 seconds you move 5% faster, and after .75 seconds you gain the ability to pounce forward at 230% speed for 0.5 seconds, after you land from a pounce create a shockwave in a 3m radius around you, survivors in this radius are slowed 15% for 3 seconds. if you directly hit a survivor with a pounce you can either choose to claw them, mangle them or wound them, mangled survivors take 25% longer to heal until healed or hooked, clawed survivors suffer from the hemorrhage status effect and have their aura revealed to you when outside your terror radius until healed or hooked, wounded survivors suffer from the deep wound status effect. Scurry has a 15 second cooldown.

That is an incredible idea but the killer uses a knife so out of curiosity how would you account for animations like would he carry the knife in his mouth or would it be similar to like a squirrel running??? I am genuinely grateful for your feedback and your take on the power is absolutely great My personal opinion is the power should last for 6 seconds and maybe in pallet loops the killer can slash over pallets while in power to provide counterplay and reduce the likelihood of pallet camping

Ngl it just seems like this killer would be a much worst version of Legion, unless Im missing something here. 4.8m/s for 3 seconds REALLY aint much

Maybe the first ever 5.0 speed killer and I'd love your opinion on a better way for power

8 years and they promised optimizations. 8 years they promised improvements. 8 years they promised comprehensible and versatile settings.

Why do you guys keep trying with this failure of a company for so long? It's asinine to think that they'll bring any improvements to the table that has been asked a trillion times over 8 years.

Anyone complaining about the 'killer' queue times need to stop: you're showing your ignorance.

In a mode that houses 10 players, you think the team with 2 will be fast? Even if its thought about for a moment, its a matter of math that I wholly believe can make sense to people here.

Killer is the more sought after spot with most in this mode, so naturally the wait time will be larger the more people want to queue as killer. If the wait times are long and you're still waiting, do as people who complained about being slugged to death: go get a bagel, read a book, get laid or even adopt an animal that needs your love!

This is never going away. The mode, in and of itself, creates this problem.

but think about this for example how come we have to wait like 10 minutes to get killer matches when most people don't like playing characters like Trapper or Deathslinger cause of the amount of time to setup or how hard it is to manage a snowball even with 2 killer most people manage to at least get 4 people out ending in a draw

  • @iceeinchrg said:

”Why are queue times so long for this role I chose to play as? Why don’t more survivors want to play a terrible game so that I can have fun at their expense?”

Please tell me, what they should have done?! I’m very interested in your answer!

I would have added specific survivor only quests that offer rift tokens for players who want to grind, added cosmetic options to the quests like special shirts and things for both sides and created some more mechanics for both sides to make it more fun

  • @tippy2k2 said:

What exactly do you want them to do though?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more people want to do the 2 killers over the 8 survivors. Short of making survivors stupidly overpowered to make playing killer less appealing, I don't know what else they could do to fix the issue.

That's the thing is maybe they should've put survivor only quests and make it more interesting like do 1 match as Meg and unlock a free head or t-shirt yknow??? Create incentives to play survivor and at the same time use cosmetics that we abandoned and to top it off create challenges that are fun like use medic class to self revive once in a match and unlock like 15 rift tokens to help people lagging in the rift

  • I respect your opinion and value it I promise I'm not a salty person it's just I posted this after I went against my 6th wraith in the same day and I basically played a bleedout simulator every single match

  • I still get 4k with him every time

  • @jmwjmw27 said:

To be fair to OP, wraith is very strong at the lower levels. So I'm not going to mock him for having his opinion even though I disagree.

That said, OP, you'll have to learn to play weak pallets to counter him. He counters shift+W decently well and can block you off if you wait too long to run when he's approaching. With safe pallets you can camp them and force uncloak, with unsafe ones you play the pallet and force uncloak and make sure to drop from the right side.

Thank you for understanding but unfortunately since my mmr is rather high 99% of my wraiths run knock out sloppy deerstalker and overcharge and slugs all 4 survivors and bleeds us out and even when we run Unbreakable/exponential he just downs us again and kicks our boon

I only put common ones that people hate but I didn't want to make my poll too complicated I value your opinion just as much as everyone else's. Thank you for posting your comment

  • Jack sparrow all the way especially if during chase he does his Iconic run

I actually have a really fun time vs Doctor. But my least favorite is Dracula and Myers. Dracula is very boring in my opinion his wolf form should only have 1 pounce. His bats shouldn’t move that quick. His fire is just off brand nemesis tentacle. Myers it’s same rinse and repeat stalk get to 99 pop it slash me in the back.

I personally think Myers is a fun killer but I'm sure you've faced the infinite regression Myers and you know how boring it is. My problem with doctor isn't a big one it's just mortifying to heat a million screams while trying to vault 1 pallet🤣🤣🤣

  • They can put a base kit mori in as for the last survivor and make the yellow mori a add-on to increase the number of killable survivors to 2 and the green mori to 3. You get my point

I'm incredibly sorry 🙏🏽. As for my hours I have 635 hours and my ideas stem from bad experiences as a survivor that almost every match gets bad teammates and a very good killer

  • @A_T_E said:

Absolutely not viable. Even the yellow suggestion is too strong, for three reasons:

    1. you have to remember 4 victims can pick these offerings, meaning 4 extra saves for no thought during the game. Killer could've been doing a long chase and finally caught up for a hit, then just get a protected hit and the chase is extended another 20+ seconds.

    2. Yellow quality means it's cheap, so people would be able to get it way too easily, combined with the 1st point, there would be no reason victims wouldn't pick yellow or better every single round.

    3. Comparing it to Moris for killers immediately highlights the difference in advantage in gives. Killer Mori doesn't give an advantage, except not having to pick up the last vicitim to hook them (on the yellow, of course), which doesn't really mean much. The comparisons only get worse, as we ascend the qualities of suggested victim offerings.

In conclusion, nah bro, sorry. That would tip the odds way too hard towards the victims.

Thanks I Honestly Needed That Cause Now That You Put It Like That They Are All Basically Iri Add-ons With The Same Strength As Infinate Tombstone Myers

After the Skull Merchants fiasco and incessant whining, do you really think the community would accept another Killer who makes you repeatedly mend throughout the match along with having other abilities?

I’m not against Sweeney Tod being a chapter and I know the game engine is limited in what the Devs can do with it but just want more imaginative powers!

I Agree I Hate Mending 24/7 But What If Sweeny Todd Had A Power Like (Just An Example) Like A Grab And Stab Similar To Like Myers Mori But It Doesn't Instakill It Puts Status Affects (Similar To Sloppy Butcher) But There's More Variety Like Hindered Or Blindness

  • Do You Think It'd Be A Fun Idea Like Against P100 Nurse Or Huntress Mains?

  • @Xernoton said:

That would be pretty busted. The greatest value a mori can provide is to avoid a pick up and DS / any other method to save that survivor. It's not game changing though. Also, moris are getting a rework anyway.

Your suggested offerings would offer a pretty strong advantage. Especially if they are applied to all survivors or can be stacked / combined. Imagine if all survivors brought an iri offering. That would mean you'd have to hook all of them 4 times. That's not just strong but a complete game changer.

I Would Think A Test Like A Limited Time Event Such As The Twisted Masquerade With Would Be A Good Way To See If Players Like It. What Do You Think?

  • I Do Not Disagree But Isn't It Unfair That Some Killers Only Play By Slugging For The 4k I've Gone Against A Nemesis Who Slugged Our Entire Squad And We All Had Unbreakable/Boon Exponential And Be All Bled Out(I Was Running The Boon

  • @Laluzi said:

Something like this would have been right at home in DBD's earlier days, but for years now we've been leaning away from items and offerings that provide a strong advantage. I don't think this fits into modern DBD.

Moris are mostly cosmetic in their current state. They can be used to counter saves and anti-hook builds, but for the most part they're just to look cool. A survivor equivalent that gives an extra hook stage is par with the old moris that removed a survivor hook state, and DBD did away with those years ago. And rightly so - it was a killer "I win" button and they felt horrible to go against.

Also, I would say your yellow tier is much stronger than your green tier. A guaranteed free hit in chase would be pretty powerful… again, we nerfed Dead Hard and Mettle of Man for this reason.

I Appreciate The Feedback And You Are Right About The Strength Of My Yellow Add-on But Wouldn't It Also Be Very Weak Since Unlike Dead Hard And Mettle You Can't Control It. For Example I Went Against An Iri Head Huntress That Was Cheating And Hit Me Through A Wall( Btw Behavior Bamned The Cheater This Morning) I Feel That The Add-on Could Have Helped?

  • In A Way But Instead Of Chain Attacks It's 1 Survivor And It Gives Way For Plenty Of Add-ons But A Simple Power Should Suffice. I'm Not Definite On What How Power Could Be And I'm 100% Open To Ideas

  • @Huge_Bush said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3803060#Comment_3803060

First Hellraiser was A tier (for its time) the second was B tier and the rest were garbage tier except for the recent reboot which was a solid B (the acting could have been a little better).

Anyways, I don’t think Sweeny Todd in as a Killer is big enough to warrant attraction or have anything they can do to make him interesting and not another Trapper without Traps. I could see it being a licensed cosmetic chapter.

I Mean Your Not Wrong It Isn't The Most Famous Movie But My Idea Would Be His Power Could Be Something Like A Fury State Where He Hits One Survivor And Inflicts Broken Status Effect Until Chase Is Broken Or He Downs The Survivor
