Don’t hide too much. Even though the game presents itself as a deadly game of hide and seek, killers can see your aura after every action. Instead of constantly hiding, learn how to loop effectively and use tiles to survive.
-
It’s a party mode in a party game… I don’t really see the issue with zombies being “too strong.”
If you want an actual challenge, ask BHVR for a ranked mode. -

In rare cases it can happen that a survivor falls into a trap 10m from me and I don't have time to go back and catch him before he's already gone far away. :(
If mate helps him to unlock the trap, it's 100% at first attempt
-
Escape from trap is 100% if you dont come hit them fast.
Each time you try to escape from trap and failed your chance to escape increase -

Are you saying that no killers can be countered? Or just that BHVR can’t explain how to do it? Was a bit confused by your comment.
I read this more as " dev dont know how to play " than " all killer cant be counter"
-
every map, iused to love some maps, but now they’re so small that killers can cancel a chase to go back to the hook instantly and tunnel very easily.
-
babbysiter is nerf to
-
If you talk about forfeit i thinks you dont lose mmr
-
The game goes too fast,
not in the sense that I can’t keep up, but that it feels more frustrating when it’s fast than when it’s slow. Even as Killer, the most common complaint you hear is “gens fly too fast.”
-
The problem isn’t that the PTR patch didn’t go live as it was, but that we still don’t have any anti-tunnel or anti-slug mechanics. Maybe on the PTB it was too strong, sure, but right now the game is basically unplayable for a lot of new survivor players, and soloQ is miserable.
On top of not releasing anti-tunnel updates, they also released a killer that can tunnel extremely easily.
So players are angry not because the broken PTR version wasn’t shipped, but because we got nothing in terms of anti-tunnel or anti-slug. Even a small patch in that direction would have been really welcome.
-
I like face It because it’s new, the chase music is good,
and I don’t think people tunnel because of the mushroom staying,
but just because players want to tunnel. You can tunnel with any killer if you want,
or choose not to tunnel. -
no way ,ok cool information

but hast staking was remove in 8.7.0

You're pointing at exactly what made all my friends quit the game.
Last year, we picked up DBD with 6-7 players, and today only 2 of us are left.
The others either quit or only play killer now because survivor just wasn't possible for them.
In 300 hours, they couldn't learn anything because their games were just: constant vision, constant tunneling, or camping. -

Mandy stated already this is a bug. It’s not intentional. It’s suppose to reflect a loss for the killer.
ok thanks i didnt know that.

No if killer abandon when the survivors haven't popped a gen in 10 mins its a win. OTZ has made a video ont this topic.
you can 3 gen 10 min, abandon and its a win. -
Wow, CS2, lol, MH world, civ 6 , the guild, bg3 and of course dbd

how do they leave if nobody do gen ?

dont tunel and you will not be fooled

What people don't seem to understand is soloq is individual. Someone might be going for totems or might be going x amount of stuns or achievements. Gens or even escaping isn't always at the top of the priority list for some people depending on when challenge they are going for. In that respect, sorry but if I need to get hook saves for a challenge then I'm unhooking you like it or not lol.
Also if the new perk comes into play, expect more slugging, so there won't be as much suicides on hooks
That's why I run toward killer if someone unhooks me to cancel the safe unhook challenge if I'm the only one to try to play.
Sorry but not sorry, the point of the game is try to survive not being stuck in the game when I 'm the only one to play and 3 ppl who did challenge like " did 3 safe unhook and I can suicide and go next challenge" -
I'm ok with a patch on crunch tech as long as hug tech is removed from the game too

Recent DBD games are not as exciting as they used to be. First of all, what makes it boring is that there are only adjustments that favor survivors, such as AFC, countermeasures against 3 generators, removal of hook catch, and standard bolo tie, and the system makes it difficult to enjoy killer tactics. What do you all think? I really liked the environment before these were implemented, when Call of the Sea and Eruption were at their peak.
basekit mori, shrink map, nerf distorsion.
-
Bnps come from " as long as u do excelent QTE you do 10% to the gen " to on time use.
Before the rework me and my friend bring 2 brand new parts to speed run 2 different gen in 10 sec, that was stressful for the killer I understand, and the nerf was legitimate. But now its a good addon, don't change it -
@MrDardon said:
There is no justification for hook suicides, no matter what. If people want to leave, they should dc and take the penalty.
Hook suicides should be removed by removing the ability to unhook yourself unless it's a 100 % chance like Deliverance or Wicked.
Rework luck and rework Slippery Meat.. again.

- First of all: no killrate for Singularity. Why? That was perhaps the most important thing to show!
- Second: protections hits data is fundamentally FLAWED, because it just counts protection hits in game (you should have explained that to not confuse people), so it doesn't trigger when you protect a healthy survivor when healthy/injured/deep wounded, but only if they're injured/deep wounded.
- Third: what does "average late unhooks" mean? What does "late" mean??? That's important imo.
- Fourth: what's the number of 2v8 matches played compared to other game modes? Just to have a comparison!
late mean after open gate like late heal

Is it really the best move to use your toolbox charges at the beginning of the match? If you get caught first, the Killer can undo all your progress.
There's the potential the Killer has FD though.
I'm just curious, do you all use it as soon as the match starts? Do you wait until someone is in a chase?
What is the best way to make sure your Toolbox was worth bringing?
My best way is :
1) bring brand new part and use it on the first gen i want to do ( example in raccon city i use it middle map).
2nd) drop the box on ground to see if killer have weave attunement. (if yes good chance to see franklin's demise)
3) if franklin demise spotted i use my toolbox instant , if not i try to save it for a possible 3gen or a dangerous gen to do -
maybe dont run full aura perk when distortion is trash now ?
its boring to play against a killer that see you every time every were and you just cant do anything.

thats what sucks too, having to use a perk slot for something that could be easily changed.
the reason its so infuriating, is because its the equivalent of a killer hitting a completed generator, and now you have re-repair it again.

And so add DS , OFC and Unbreakable baseline ! I mean , having to use perk slot for something that could be easily changed … -

average survivor chase time PER MATCH. Meaning average chase lasts...20s.
BL 1 is reached in 56% of marches, BL2 only in 14% and BL3 in brutally low 3% of matches.
You're right. but that means it's worse than expected! killers only have 4 chase at 1 min/match and you need 5 x 90 sec for a gen.
moreover more that half game have bloodlust t1 -

Most of the time they are not random and you can spot them in advance, some maps even have dozens of set spawns you can guarantee are around the map
as the generator , yet the killers see them in red aura and basekit, maybe they should learn the map and go spot them in advance ?
-
As I see all ppl suggest to do gen.
The problem is when you do gen you reveal your position.Nobody want to lose time, the killer here is litteraly taking fun losing your time.
So if you dont see it as a problem , i hope you dont see the " go next " as a problem to.
Because, I mean, you don't want your survivor to go next fast to have a game and fun? Just don't tunnel, or camp or whatever -

WoO is a training wheels perk in the sense of knowing where pallets and windows are as a survivor before approaching a tile gives a massive advantage and can make sure you path only towards zones with resources and not into deadzones created by teammates
On the other hand zanshin is mostly useless as a training wheels perk. Whats a killer gonna do make sure to go to a pallet so they can admire it?
I'm ok to remove WoO if palet and windows and loop in general stop being random.
The perk is a must have because of random spawn. -
vision aura perk, I miss the time when there was only chili and nurse's calling

These are the 2 I have saved but there has been others from the Devs posting regarding avoiding gens
thanks.
I think that hiding from the killer while waiting for the other to be found is therefore not included in it.
I've already seen players try to keep the game hostage, and it wasn't the same as hoping that the other would be found but hard to prove -

Killers don't cry if survivors go next, I have only heard of survivors cry about that because they let the rest of the team down. Personally I don't care if survivors wants to go next, makes no difference to me.
The game suggests taking the hatch when the hatch is available. If it's not available then the objective is do the gens. The fact is even the Devs say avoiding gens is reportable, even in 2 v 1 situations. If your willing to accept it's ok to break the rules because you disagree with the rules set out by BHVR then you can't complain when others also break the rules when they disagree with them. Rules like body blocking or flat out cheating
First : As i can read its an hide and seek game.
Dead by Daylight is a 4v1 multiplayer action survival horror game that allows you to play the killer or one of the 4 survivors. Learn about the gameplay and the characters now!2nd : on the same site i can see a tutoriel that say " you will chase down, capture , and hook survivors " not slugs them.
3rd : on the in game rulebook its say killer objectif is to hook . Hook not to slug them.
4th : i just did the tutoriel to be sure, but the game say i need to hide when killer is near.
could you pls give me source about dev on the 2V1 ?
I didn't find anything but I'm interested, if its true , and i dont think you lie, i would read the interview -

You say I'm part of the problem but when the killer has clearly won the match why should they essentially let the survivor get the hatch preventing a 4k? The killer won. Sounds like the survivor hiding to get a win when they couldn't do their objective is the problem not the killer doing his objective. You can stay hidden but I can say if that happens with me then I'm more than happy to keep both of you alive and bring it to 1 hour server end time. I'm sure you would find that more boring
Yes you are part of the problem.
When its a win 100% and ppl just go next : killer cry
When its a win and survivor, try to hide and take hatch( AS THE GAME SUGEST TO DO ) : killer cry
You know dont need the 4K for a win, 3K is a win and even the hatch is a draw for the survivor not a win.
So , no we dont need to do something for last 2 survivor.
If they are afk they have craw otherwise just try to find them .
Edit :The problem is that victory is based on your escape and not on the team.In my opinion, it should be a victory for the 4 survivors from 3 escapes and a defeat for 1 or less escape.

No it's not, the Devs have already confirmed it many times. Slugging has a timer no different to hook timer, that timer is progressing the match even if it's not as fast as you would like. I'm my experience when in 2 v 1 situation it is the survivors that actually hold the game hostage by refusing to do gens for over 30min and simply hiding waiting for the other to get caught first so they can get the hatch. That does not progress the match and is confirmed to by the Devs as holding the game hostage.
As you have already said at that point the match is over, killer won so maybe if the remaining survivor came out of hiding the killer wouldnt need to slug the 3rd to allow time to find the 4th. Therefore if the game is held hostage don't blame the killer for slugging, blame the last survivor that refuses to do gens, refuses to heal you and refuses to progress the match.
when in 2 v 1 situations that's exactly what I do, slug the 3rd to give time to find the 4th. When I find and down the 4th I hook them and go back to hook the slug. It gives me 4min to find the last remaining player, faster I find them, faster the game ends.
So you are part of the problem.
As a survivor don't mind being killed, but being slug is boring. If killer just hooks me when the chase end, I could do gen and try, but as long as I know the killer is gonna slug me for 4K I stay hidden.
-
I would love a big 1V16 mod with a killer bot ARTHAS for warcraft.
A basic M1 killer, but when he kills someone, the player is transformed into a zombie that can chase survivor. You have one life basically like in the mood "my little oni".
As a zombie you have the same speed than nemesis zombie but you can une power to have move speed. -
of the record, killer dont see you but only after hook.
or boon: shadow step -
No , as long as killer are gona slug the 3rd to have 4k , i would prefer not show myself.
Since finisher mori is baseline 100% of my game are a slug on the 3rd. -
I prefer to start with 2 tokens, but you need to be in the chase for 20 second to add an extra token.
Even if you are bad to do some cheese, your hook time is a resource that every survivor needs to exploit to win.
If I'm hook 2 times, and you play the most safer because u can't do chase, I 'm goind to die, 100% because you don't distract the killer.
-
mmr is a scam, even if the mmr exist ( what i doubt) the problem is that priority is on the queue time not on mmr.
As survivor , i find myself against chitai ( 11K hour , fogwisperer , he destroy my team without any suicide / leave in less that 5 minute )
As killer, I'm new on killer. I have maybe 200 hours, I start playing killer because I found it far more easy than survivor. Yesterday I go against a full team at 2k hours each.
Moreover, when I play survivor, my mate is between less than 100 hours and 5K hours in the same game.
Maybe show mmr on loby could be good ( only my own mmr ) so ppl will stop talking ######### about this -

That's because of the hatch, not because of the Mori.
thats totaly for the mori.
since the patch is up, all my game are slug for mori at end before the patch , maybe 60-70% of my game was slug for 4K -
I whould add that when you are teleport u make some noise , like a fail check on gen. so that will give something to killer to

See, balancing is a delicate thing. Players were already in arms when the gen time was uped from 80 to 90s, if gen time where at base 120s the player base would be up the walls and full on rioting.
Same with base DH and Unbreakable. Why must everything be basekit? If a perk is worth having in your kit, then equip it, why dilute the variety and further and cement the meta in concrete, because the survivors can have everything they want without any disadvantages?
basekit prevent sluging and tunel because its not worth anymore.
I mean now every killer i play against have 2 aura perk and see every survivor every second of the match what's the counter play ? distortion ?? no its a garbage perk now
edit : i give perk basekit to survivor but i give them 30% more time need on gend to + better kick to killer -
@Akumakaji said:
Having tunneling and slugging being the de-facto way of playing killers these days. I talked a lot about this these last coupld of days, but since update 6.1 pulled the rug and safety net away from under the survivors feet and thaught many of them to do better or die, gen efficency spread like wildfire. Before you had a chase, downed someone and hooked them, while somewhere a gen was done. You got into another chase, hooked, another gen was done. Now the playingfield got smaller and things heated up. But since 6.1 many survivors wisend up to splitting up and pressuring all the gens at once, which is why you got this scenarios where the killer gets their first down and bing bing bing three gens pop and the killer is instantly backed against the wall.
This co-evolution of efficiency over fun lead to gen rushing and kill rushing, both sides feeling (somewhat rightly) that they have no time for fun or playfullness, but have to push their objective to the max. And now both sides are lean, mean killing/surviving machines without any fat to them. With the genie out of the bottel we will never go back to the more fun and playful DBD area, unless its somewhat enforced and supported by game mechanics. pre-6.1 survivors fooled around, opened chests, became bone hunters, because they didn't feel pressured to do so and could effort to do so. Nowadays its "push gens or perish" leading to this 10min games.
I mean , your right.
But maybe someting like give DS and OTR base line for all survivor ( so prevent killer to tunel)
Give unbreakable base line ( to prevent slug)
Now , thats can't stay like this or nobody gonna play killer
up kick on gen
up time on generator ( but reduce penalty if we are many on one gen) so survivor stop spread on gen and do only one.
With one chase killer should see one generator pop and not 3 at begining of the game.
a generator need 90 sec without addon/perk/other survivor and a median chase is 60 sec
maybe up to 120 sec a gen so , we need to group as survivor on generator to be sure we did one during a chase
I don't know if I didn't buff so much survivor, we need PTR to test, but something with more time on gen and less on slug / tunnel would be healthier for the game -

50% kill rate is a too low tbh when a killer reach usually under 52% kill rate they tent to lose more game than survivors (im not a killer main btw just clarifying i play both sides) usually around 55% killrate killers on average still have a 8% winrate over survivors so if the balance was around 52 to 55% killrate on average that game would be way less volatile the top tier will prob be around 60% back like old days and that's ok currently the high tiers killers are so high from 65% to almost 70% killrates it's too much extreme
yes 55% kill rate sound pretty fair to play against
Maybe with a ranked mod like LOL that could be better because.
I mean, if you win as a team, more people will tend to try to survive or give as much time as they can to other survivor.
moreover, if i am tunel but all team do gen maybe i can " win" as team and win some mmr, so even if my escape rate dont increase, my winrate increase wich will be felt less frustrating -

In Valorant they don't let you start it right off the rip- In Valorant you have to play through at least 2 rounds to start a surrender vote before the 3rd round can begin
in valorant if you lose, every one in the team lose lp
in DBD if i die, and you survive , only me lose mmr.
as long as you dont win/lose mmr as team someppl will go next to just try to rank up
