Revert Engineer's Fang.
Nah I was joking. IMO, his skill is bit less rewarding than the efforts and skills that are required to master it.

Might be unpopular opinion but Tombstone piece Myers

Then why was it included in the list of perks impacted by the new change?
Because it was buffed. The penalty that Ruin totem being turned off after one survivor died is removed.
-
Ruin does not count as one of the 8 regression event at all. Surge, Eruption, Pain Resonance are counted though.
-
As we all know, Blight add-ons were OP, so Blighted Rat & Crow, Adrenaline Vial, Alchemist's Ring, Compound 33, and Iridescent Blight Tag were changed. But C33 and Tag were so strong in PTB while Adren vial was too weakened, so devs decided to nerf those two iri add-ons and buff Adren when it comes to live server in Jan 30th.
-
They are endgame perks. They should be strong since it only works at the very end of the game, not doing anything before that.
Killer perks should be stronger as killer has 4 perks while survivors can have 16 perks in overall.
-
Legion is kinda weak killer and Thanatophobia is garbage perk.
And I think you need to read again about Thana's description.
It already gives 2% per injured survivor. Thana is almost like not existing unless all the survivors are injured. 8% debuff is honestly nothing.
-
I agree. It is astonishing that they actually nerfed Sadako.
STBFL nerf, Ruin and Quick Gambit still being garbage, and no buff for Alan Wake perks.
This developer update would be one of the worst ever if they also nerfed Hillbilly.
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
I told you this would happend and yet people cheered here how happy they are for old sadako to comeback. She went from low A tier to Bottom C again at best. Hope you all happy now.
We predicted future
-
So Ruin and Boon: Illumination are left forgotten. That's sad.
And I still demand to revert STBFL's 5%->4% nerf

I remember hating GhostFace when I started. The number of times he made me jump out of skin just by sticking his big face out next to me when I wasn't looking, only for me to pan the camera and see him at the exact moment as the stalk popped... made me nearly drop my controller and feel like a complete idiot a few times xD
It's all good, I'm just playing man, the true beauty of the Soulsborne game is every player plays their own game, and has a completely unique experience of what is hard/easy that is exclusive to them based on their decisions and their style of play. But as a long time dex build/dodge player (I learned Dark Souls without ever blocking... which is insane to me now...) I jest at having a crusader like fervour elevating dex builds above all others xD
Ghostface still jumpascares me xD
Yes. Soulsborne games' attraction is that thing as you said. Having own playstyle. Playing Elden Ring, I am attracted to the scale of Meteorite of Astel...And it became my forum name.

DBD is like Counter Strike. It's an easy enough game to understand the idea and start playing... but the moment you go against other players, you're instantly met with a huge gulf in map knowledge, game awareness and skill.
If you're someone who likes to be really chill and not serious in games, and want to win without much effort (i.e. the Explorer Mode type players), the new survivor experience is awful. If you're someone who enjoys being challenged, and has a thirst for learning deep and complicated mechanics, the new player experience is great imo. Killers are actually scary when you're new, and you feel this constant sense of dread whenever you hear the TR.
Honestly I never minded being camped or tunneled when I started playing, because I was just swallowing the atmosphere, and to this day few things give me a rush as much as committing to opening a gate and praying the killer doesn't come back check before you can get the gate open.
I guess if you're a Soulsborne type player who scoffed at summons, coop, bleed builds, stagger builds, and all forms of busted magic attacks in Elden Ring, you'll probably be fine in DBD.
Yeah killers can be frightful presence if you are new. I was also afraid of killers when I was new.
Btw, please don't scoff at magic. I loved using them in Soulsborne games.

The difference in that is Survivor hasn't been given what they asked. Devs gave Killers the Perk nerfs they been asking for. Only a matter of time until Devs handhold further and nerf Windows of Opportunity.
Many killlers' gen perks(Ruin, Eruption, DMS, CoB & OC, Pain Resonance) are nerfed and STBFL is also nerfed in PTB.
Sloppy and UW will also be nerfed in the near future while DS will be buffed.
HUD for solo survivors and Anti-Facecamping update to reduce survivors' frustration are made.
These things would not happen at all if survivor actually hasn't been given what they asked for.
-
Because of his mechanism. It can be seem just another version of Nemesis, and people would think this design stale.
And also, I think flame turret is not a good design. Being able to lose power by survivors' hands is not a good experience.
-
Twins and Hag, obviously.
-
Unfortunately, I don't think they will come back again. It would be good if they come back though.
-
No, it does not as I know.
According to dbd wiki, it is said blindness hides auras except for "certain essential abilities which are usually related to objects located in the environment tied to the Killer's Power"
-
Nerf C33 and Iri Tag
Buff Quick Gambit, Boon: Illumination, Deadline
Cancel STBFL nerf
Other things look fine to me.
-
Iri Paintbrush basekit for Freddy
(Tbh, he needs a lot more than that)
Would be good if Marvin's blood becomes basekit for the Nemesis

The fact that someone can always win means it is possible. Don't you think with MMR he should lose sometimes if the game was more fair? It is not only Blight that can always win.
If killer has better skill than survivors, killer should win the game. He is top tier player and he should win most of the pub matches. This should go same to other killers other than Nurse and Blight.

This is objectively wrong because very good killers have proven they can win regardless of what the survivors use. Momo is undefeated as a Blight main, for example. If SWF truly is strong, he and other good killers would lose. It simply has no logical reasoning to think high experienced goes to survivor. It seems to be killers are overpowered in both lower skill and high skill too.
I agree with OP that the game has severe balance issues and it really is mind boggling why it is not addressed.
He is playing Blight, who is obviously broken killer. Most of the killers are much weaker than Blight. And that win streak is made in pub while he is very good blight player and we all know DBD's mmr is screwed up. If survivors are not strong in high levels, why there are many limitations in tournaments for survivors while killers have almost none?
-
Unfortunately, I don't think they will punished. Even the ones who abused locker bug exploit didn't get punished as I know, so I don't think that kind of behaviors will be considered punishable.
They really need to do something for hook spawns.
-
If both killer and survivors are less experienced, killer is in better position.
If both killer and survivor are experienced ones, survivors are in better position, especially when they are in SWF.
Considering you are new, you will be the case where killer is in better position.
Pentimento is noob stomper. If survivors have enough experiences to know how Pentimento works, it doesn't do much because they will cleanse Pentimento totem right away since you can know the position of totem by the sound when it first cleansed.
It is Anti Face-camp system, not anti-camp system. It is only meant to stop face-camping, not proxy camping.
Survivors have enough amount of useful perks. And these perks help you to overcome killers doing tunneling, proxy camping, and 3-genning.
-
I cannot decide I love all of them
-
From Software games
I would have played Lethal Company if my friends were interested in this
-
Wesker is not a "probably a loss" because he has the power that transcended the human's power due to the virus he injected to himself.
-
Treatment Theatre, Midwich, Coal Tower version 1.
-
He is fine IMO. I think his cool-down is bit long and slice n dice duration is little short comparing to cool-down. And some add-ons are underwhelming.
For survivor perspective he is quite small so he is hard to see sometimes. But I don't know what can be done to this.
-
It is "Anti-FACECAMP" mechanic, not "Anti-Camp". This is made to prevent face camping situations, not killers doing proxy camping.
-
Where is Team OVERPOWERED: Nurse x Blight?
-
Usually it doesn't, but if Blight runs Compound 33 add-on, it gives 3% hindered effect to survivors who are in 16m radius from where he slammed.
-
It is ANTI FACE-CAMPING, not anti camp feature, which means it is made to stop face camping only. Thus, it doesn't need bigger radius.

Killers with game sense will always find the last survivor. They even go so far as let the third person off their shoulders to help find the last survivor if they get mad which means no counterplay for survivor.
Ultimate Weapon has no counterplay other than lockers but you assumed they are everywhere and near the gates. What if the gates are closed to each other?
You also have the annoying factor. It's universally shared that NOED is annoying and unfun to verse. Sole Survivor is weak and so rarely used because it is situational that killers really don't complain about it. If it was useful, killers would complain.
One survivor giving the information of location of other survivor to killer can be bannable behavior as I know. I don't think this case should be really considered.
I didn't say that lockers are always near exit gate...? Not sure why are you saying like that. And the case that two gates are that closed to each other is very rare according to my experience.
Sole Survivor is very strong perk in the situation that you need to open the exit gate when you are alone as it increases the speed of opening exit gate by 50%. I remember that once there was a post that claims Sole Survivor can be very strong due to this case.

In theory you are correct, but how effective is it compared to NOED?
The killer meta basically doesn't allow survivor to win with that perk either. What if the killer slugs the third to find the last survivor with sole survivor? What if the killer has Ultimate Weapon? There is still no win opportunity for survivor despite the survivors all losing.
Stealth will let you to survive until the other survivor to bleed out. If killer has UW, you would have already known, so you can avoid screaming by hiding in locker. Also, Sole Survivor has distortion effect which can be widened to maximum of 72m, almost making you immune from killer's aura reading perks. Even if the killer slugs other one, 48m is enough to hide you from aura perks.

Imagine if a survivor perk was hated for 7 years.
I've searched hard and I've never found a survivor perk that can turn around and win the game after the survivors have failed miserably.
Doesn't this perk give benefit to the survivor for failure(death of teammates)? This perk will help you to open the gate faster when the hatch is closed, and usually escape is considered as win as survivor...
-
I think that would be very easily abusable by survivors. Survivors would have no risk of any behaviors if that happens, similar to OG Decisive Strike. They wouldn't bother to do gens in front of killers. Also survivor can hinder you to down and hook other survivors very easily, which would make killers feel absolutely miserable.
-
They are just salty entitled ones. They will complain about everything. You don't need to mind them.
-
I heard that there is the cheat program that makes opponents to be disconnected. There are very diverse cheats in DBD.
-
Yeah Solo Q can be sucks in many times. They give up due to various astonishing reasons. Very sad that there is almost nothing you can really do to convince your teammates to do their best.
Kinda unfortunate but here Sole Survivor exists for you. Quite work well. Since you can raise your mmr by escaping with exit gate, you can use this perk to escape by exit gate and can expect to meet better teammates.
-
I think I heard it is totally ended.
-
Ruin does not count as that 8 event counts. Also Overcharge skill check does not count, while Surge, Pain Res, and Eruption's are counted.
-
His terror radius is increased to 32m from 24m when he got buffed in last update that came with Chucky. It was increased due to his movement speed increase and this was also mentioned in first PTB patch notes.
-
@MadameExotine said:
Asked a reputable streamer. Seems like Hex: Ruin doesn't count as a "regression event", there needs to be "pop" (with an at least a -5% insta-regression) for it to count.
Yes. Ruin is not event count. Also survivor's Overcharge skill check failure is not counted, while Surge, Pain Resonance, and Eruption are counted as 8 event counts like normal gen kicks.
