I think they play it safe too often. This is because of the demand they set themselves to achieve. It's frequent updates which require excessive work on specific areas. They just don't have the manpower, time and resources to deal with more on their plate at one given time. They're not doing terribly however their shortcomings are kinda clear, I hope they work on them.
-
I just question why they were so commited to get the changes through but then drastically backtrack a few hours after. Definitely a hit on professionalism which kinda puts to waste their intention.
-
The difficulty is only different because of how Grindy it was. I want difficulty to be determined on difficulty itself not the grind.

Trapper is broken when a swf destroys all his traps.
-
Nooooooooooo....
I heard they were just doing event stuff in the Battlepass and I thought it was a lie๐๐ง๐ง๐ง

Legion got a nerf, buff, rework, nerf and who knows what next.
Pig has had nerf after nerf after nerf, do you think killers in her position are deserving of a look at next?
-
In Stranger Things The Demogorgan itself is pretty stealthy by design. Like a hunter stalking its prey. Having footsteps so loud defeats the whole design of the demogorgan. #RespectTheLore.

I have just started tome 3 and have found a nice way of saving points for oni while also completing the whole tome. I like saving up 1,000,000 bloodpoints for the next chapter and try to save dailys also.

Complete all the challenges along the line and take your rewards. The challenges circled in yellow can be completed but you shouldn't collect your reward.
Once Oni comes out then you can collect these to earn an extra 400,000 bloodpoints.
I thought you had a picture of an Xbox kinect on the top left but it was just a scribble you made, also nice idea, might try it myself.
-
I just don't like how the Devs idea of challenge is the amount of grinding it takes to complete. Tome 1 could be like 'Blind the killer 1 time' then tome 4 appears like 'Blind the killer 20 times in a single Match'
Destroying 40 pallets is such a BS challenge to be forced to complete first. That's basically play 4/5 matches and break as many pallets you can get Survivors to drop.

Love these ideas but don't expect anything unique from BHVR anymore. Every killer since Ghostface has been a recycled version of older killers.
As long as we have ideas, anything could happen. I think they don't really know what people want. Almost like they're having to play it somewhat on the safe side because of the issues that can crop up with completely new ideas. They are capable of doing some crazy good work though and I just hope they take inspiration from some ideas they get from the community when they need some.

The film and the 'killer' are two separate things. A killer from a bad movie or TV show can be redefined and reimagined to fit the game if needs be.
The more lenient you are with allowing for discussion of potential licences the more choice we have to choose from.
Let's not stamp every suggestion with the 'Impossible' label ok.
The game has no rule restricting a killer to anything.
Also if there's a secret rule that the killer must be a slasher, I ask you to recite the roster of killers and repeat the ones that you're wrong on. Anything is possible if you have the support.
-
Depends on region I think. In Western Europe/UK there's quite a lot of casual Survivor players who kinda mess around and not try too hard to win immediately. There's about 1 in 3 killers who'll play kinda dirty or desperate to 4k. 1 in 6 games you get an extremely tunnely killer and 1 in 4 games will have a DC in it.
Not bad, teammates are always a little bad when I take a little while off of playing.
PS4 and Xbox are almost identical, only very minor differences.

Yes. Stop running your monstrous shrine and hide thy insidious as the nerf hammer is coming, paint a cross on your door to ward I off as he ole English folk say
I mean if you're the only person running monstrous shrine and you keep getting 3 or 4k every match then you basically just nerfed one of the worst perks in the game yourself.

Why would they nerf BT: A perk completely reliant on having a teammate to work? Survivors should be able to have a hope of getting away from a camping Killer/a Killer that is close to the hook post unhooking. This perk is a selfless perk and has no direct upside for the user. Why nerf it?
Borrowed time is a weird one. I feel like it's possible that they'll make the deep wound effect activate if you were just unhooked an actual base game mechanic. Borrowed time is one of those really good perks which just stops dirty killers from hard camping and everyone just seems to downplay it's use.

I play Huntress listening to my jams therefore you are all WRONG...

Someone who only plays and worships one side shouldn't be giving feedback or ask for changes. It's crazy how many people have no idea what they're talking about because they don't want to play the game in its integrity. To have a full understanding of balance, you need to play survivor and killer.
People who actively play both sides are superior.
Growing tired of people acting like toddlers and getting upset over a god damn video game made for our entertainment.
You can do better than this.
I mostly agree with you however some people who play both roles at a relatively high level are not always the genius that I am.
If you play one side then that doesn't mean your opinion is wrong either.
I've not looked at everyone else's comments yet but I bet there's some people proving your exact point by getting all mad at your thread.

Cool I guess DS, BT and Adrenaline are on your list too?
They don't know how to nerf ds use that at will but borrowed time is definitely one they're gonna do something with at some point. Adrenaline is at risk.

Demogorgan is really unfun to play because setting up a couple of portals takes about 30 seconds and 2 gens are almost ยพ done by then.
I really like the analysis the original post just made. Something needs to be done to demogorgan but I feel like he's now at the back of the queue of the killers desperate for buffs/rework. Clown, bubba, doc, legion, demogorgan.
I feel like he's gonna get a few tweaks then swept under the carpet.
-
They would never buff a perk I use...oops I mean I don't use bloodwarden ( /: plz don't 99% the door)
-
Survivors can make mistakes 3+ times and they still want to survive. The only mistake killer can make is to let them slip away then it's all over.
-
Just for the record, I'm not saying "nerf these perks" I'm saying that data from the survival/kill rates will destroy these perks with rebalancing and the game will inevitably be less diverse and interesting because any surprises will disappear.
-
You can use whatever you like but data can come back and destroy the perks you like if so many people use them to escape death or get easy kills.
-

Still complaining about BBQ that has 7 counters already.
I'm not complaining I'm simply stating that if so many killers use BBQ and do well, BBQ will be seen as a perk which needs rebalancing because it must be stronger than it should be in terms of overperforming as killer.

The meta will exist forever. People wanna win. I'm included.
Until a change to the meta is introduced.
Every meta perk on both sides is at risk. Some have already been balanced to be less useful but some remain pretty strong.
Self care, sprint burst, noed were all subject to nerfs in the past because they were too widely used and made kills easier to get or survival rate increase/easier chases.

We should have got fearless Chinese Grandma Yin Hitachi, retired mayor who got thrown out of town for wrongly being accused of murder when in fact she was defending her town from spoopy evil monsters who resemble people. She's back to prove that she's the grandma everyone needs. (I made this up a while ago but I won't stop pushing it๐)
Also she has Marge hair from the Simpsons

In terms of not caring about Consoles I think it's just disappointment that gameplay wide Console always get stuff delayed, not working or not at all.
It seems like bugs on PC are way more important to fix and is prioritized over any Console stuff.
Optimization has taken an age and Console is still a way behind PC.
In terms of free cosmetics then that's nice but it doesn't help rid the console specific problems which have always existed but never fully fixed.
It should be fine to raise a point about how you see things whether you're right or wrong being rude or belittling towards eachother is a little much.

I think you misunderstand. For my suggestion all survivors would have to agree to surrender. If even one person disagrees the match would continue so you could still use your unbreakable or flip flop.
Ah ok like R6 seige. Only if the killer agrees too. Imagine a Myers going for the evil incarnate achievement only to get Survivors with the option to surrender.

Surrender is for when there isn't. Such as when all 4 are slugged.
And deny anyone the chance to have their chance if they have unbreakable or wiggle free. It's selfish to throw in the towel for your whole team just because you've had enough. Just deal with it a moment longer if you're in such a losing position.
-
Surrender when there is a potential to claw back a win is anti gameplay.
Suck it up Buttercup.
-
Things that caught my eye:
Clown and Demogorgan are statically the weakest killers on average.
Also stats of any kind is somewhat useful.
I feel like bubba would be bottom if it wasn't for those falling for his insideous traps to lure Survivors in, and those few utilizing PWYF stacks to pick off Survivors.
I wonder how reducing the sound of demogorgan footsteps and giving clown 2 more bottles at base will help these killers.
-
I feel like the surge in trapper players is because of the challenges in the rift. I hope they are aware of different parts of data being skewed.

Spirit is a ghost and you can't kill a ghost. So she probably would win.
Freddy Vs Spirit would be a really good fight
Almost like Freddy's getting a taste of his own medicine.
-
I honestly think Freddy is kinda weak against another killer who has strength on their side. Bubba, hillbilly can just chainsaw him up if they get the chance. Nurse is a character who is already dead (I think) plus she has an add on which pretty much lets her blink back to her original position so she can be hard to get the jump on.
Wraiths invisibility may prove troublesome for Freddy. Trapper traps will probably be used as a weapon for Freddy himself. I think he possesses stuff.
Demogorgan probably has insane speed on his side, he knows how to hunt and might leave Freddy with no change.
Freddy is like a tough deadite from the evil dead. Maybe they could get Ash Williams to destroy Freddy.

Steal dem deathgarden servers
It's the only way...
I wanted to play deathgarden if it ever came to Consoles. I wonder how many will just join the dbd Dec team to make it better.
-
Iron will because I don't really go ARGGGGGHHH to much when I hurt myself on something.
Maybe mettle of Man a little because I like taking protection hits for people in terms of protecting and making sure they're ok to carry on irl but I don't care about Bloodpoints (Wglf) also I share the same name as Ashley Williams which is kinda cool๐.
Also lightweight because my footsteps are really light and I have insanely good balance on ice and anything slippery which is probably because of how careful I am while walking or running around irl.

IT/Pennywise. For all the reasons that we had to think that's coming, there's a big obstacle: the survivor would really have to be a kid from the Loser's Club, not the adult versions, and DbD can't kill kids.
BHVR would have never planned a kid as s Survivor. It would only be a standalone killer with a map.
-
I don't know what happened to demogorgan. In the ptb he was clearly strong as hell but since then I haven't seen a single demogorgan legitimately win a game convincingly. Maybe Survivors have all just learnt quickly.
-
Items are probably the reason why. That's actually pretty annoying.

how can you get objects or reair a generator, or open a gate with a chainsaw
Do it with the other hand and just rest the chainsaw against the generator whilst repairing.
Idk anyone can do just about anything with one hand.
-
I've been watching Ash Vs the Evil dead on Netflix and honestly a deadite as a killer would be so fun. Like a doppelganger killer but you can distinctively see the plain white eyes instead of being exactly the same. Would come with powers and abilities which makes them more... hellish.
Ash is honestly a really good character to have in this game, I don't think a lot of people realise.
-
I like leaving portals in the open where Survivors will run past or destroy. I like to get the information through Killer instinct and Survivors are free to destroy my portals if they want to spend time doing so.
Activate as many as quickly as possible and make use of the information. Portals in grass are hard to see also.
-
Start with 3 tokens. When you run out of tokens your scratch marks made from sprinting last 5 seconds longer.
-
Maybe if new base perks were available in the store for shards then you would be approving finding them in your bloodweb.
Also charm store when @Peanits
If I unlocked no mither and open handed as teachables I would unlock whatever there is that's ever more useless than those. No offense to those perks but I don't use them.
-
I've had times when people have recognised me from the forums. Must be around 4 or 5 people who recognised me on Xbox and these forums. Generally they try to play well to almost show that they are worthy of discussing dbd seriously on here.
They always end up having terrible luck, like being camped really heavily or being downed with noed.
-
Base game perks could be made into challenges in the archives. E.g. Down 5 Survivors when Shutdown is active, reveal the killer 20 times using CrowPact (made up perks btw)
-
If I got a streamer in my lobby I would show them that I'm actually pretty good without putting on much of a sweat.
I would equip a bunch of niche surprise perks and just try to be that something distinctively different for the streamer.
I would always toy around with them and play dumb.
Something I always like to do when I know a Survivor is crouching still. I walk towards them as if I'm suspicious then turn back walk away a little then very slowly turn to face the hiding Survivor then go crazy at them.
Sometimes I would pretend to be afk as Trapper then while the Survivors are doing gens I place a ton of traps by myself for when Survivors come to investigate and tbag. Bring end game perks and catch them off guard.

Pizza delivery elf has been stealing everybody's pizza ๐. Hundreds left hungry.

I can only hit great skill checks when I'm not trying to concentrate. Therefore I never hit ruin skill checks. Ruin on Console is torture. People say it's the same but I think everything is way more choppy.
