I'm probably one of the 5% of players who run the weirdest set of perks you can get.
I hate having to rely on certain perks. A bad habit to get into.
-
When people talk about overperforming does anyone ever wonder who the best players play as? Surely the better players skew the data to show 'overperformance' in some killers rather than another killer who they don't play.
-
Well they can go ahead with the spirit nerf because I have nothing on her but as for Huntress they should wait for me to use my iridescent heads up. Give it at least 3 months.

Nice, love your input and feedback, very constructive!
Just let me use mine up before anything is needed.

You can definitely see how they took inspiration from Onimusha when you suck up all the xp and health you get from killing enemies.
I can imagine Oni getting a giant molten hammer as a cosmetic. Where am I again?
-
We could rename David king and have Nancy from elm Street as a Nancy Wheeler cosmetic. It's the only way.
-
I fixed it. Pausing then unpausing seems to have worked.
-
I'm thinking they have more complex ideas but having to adjust them to work best on dedicated servers and the P2P connection can be a hassle.
Using tried and tested powers is an effective way to deliver a good killer which has minimal risk of not working properly.
Another ranged Killer for example would likely get a bad reception from the state of dedicated servers.
-
We already have a Nancy, we can't have 2 because that's like way too complicated.
-
-
Some say when you're not looking THEY are watching your every move.
-
I mean he only insidious camps if you insult his family, so you probably deserved it.
-
Once you know Survivors are going to put themselves in position to pick up a pallet that knowledge can be used to your advantage.
Breaking pallets is basically a perk slot wasted for Survivors.
At least they're not using adrenaline instead.
-
The normalisation of complaining about the game is the very thing which contributes to nerfing taking place. Nerfing in most cases sucks out a lot of the fun and charm in playing a particular style or character.
Now shush yer pie hole.

The Mummy Licensed Chapter
Alien Licenced Chapter
Maybe Van Helsing Chapter
Scissorman Chapter
SlenderMan Chapter
Wendigo
Krampus
Kirby
Ganondorf
Pyramid Head
Alan wake
Tom Hanks
Something out of the ordinary but good.

It does pose the question, should red ranks form the basis of perfect balance?
As a casual killer and Survivor who doesn't sweat or try too hard I usually end up purple ranks around rank reset.
It's really clear when you get a really good killer/teammate and a really bad one however because of how weak killers tend to be in red ranks a really bad one can sweep you with ease at lower ranks.
Just like swf red rank Survivors with all the meta builds will easily win Vs a rank 17 or whatever especially if they get rng, weak killer and load out.

Seems like everybody on PC hates them, so I really hope we never get them on PS4. My games very rarely have bad lag. Just the occasional skip like 1 out of every 20 matches. If you're having that many issues, I'd guess your internet isn't as "decent" as you thought.
I know my internet. I also know a lot of Console players Don't necessary have the best connection.
I can cope with playing a high ping match as long as the connection is stable and it is functional.
Too often it's a long wait for a lobby and having to put up with a 100+ ping lobby most matches or not get one for a while.
-
Using sound as a distraction to heal or search a chest or whatever.
The importance of pallets and utilising them to entend chases. Path rotation from jungle gym to shack etc.
-
I don't really use them but they now feel more useless.
It's only really a problem when you get multiple Survivors with these add ons.
-
Personally I think the challenge for getting 30 gold emblems or whatever it is shouldn't exist because of how wonky the emblem system is.
Playing normally as my usual killers it'll take about 8+ matches alone to get that.
-
^p.s. I didn't really, just wanted to say it before anyone else does.
-
This is an outrage. I paid exactly $2456.01 on all of these exact cosmetics yesterday. This game hates me.
-
Excessively desperate and sweaty players especially when they have equipped the most boring load out and the match has already had a suicide or DC.
Anything other than a 4v1 at 5 gens is just skewing the game into the killers favour.
I also hate GhostFace, I was ok with him about a month ago but his break out of stealth is so broken, plus they always seem to play dirty.

I'm guessing where will be a family crypt that will be a variant of the standard yamoaka estate, much like how the temple of purgation is a part of red forest.
Hmm interesting.
Maybe the leaked sound file of a knock on what sounded like a sarcophagus or coffin (most likely) was the signalling of a curse being unleashed and the breathing is the Oni raising to his feet to do whatever he does.
Onimusha/Sekiro/Nioh vibes intensifying.
Shrine map in the Yamaha realm is apparently a leaked map name. Perhaps a coffin of the Oni is in this map variation.
-
I might just buy it so I have a reason to be mad about something. They know how to get money out of me.
-
Or no map at all like the roadmap says.
I do recall that they said the roadmap is subject to change and is just a broad plan of what they want to release at that moment.
So it might not be as bad as the roadmap suggests.
-
I agree, it's easy to go overboard to make a ton of changes so you can claim the job is done but balance in terms of the nurse need is a delicate area. When the number of nurse players has drastically reduced it's clear some of the charm about playing nurse suddenly didn't exist anymore.
-
New Killer - The Boomer
Power - Ignorant comments and alienation of younger generations.
-
Next Killer - Someone from Sekiro
-
After watching the teaser the first video suggestion which immediately pops up is one called "Why do people hate the spirit"
I feel like it's an Oni with a charged attack which insta downs and an M1.
I'm wondering if the 'crazy' in the leaked coding is a legion sprint.
I like the Oni but it just feels like this chapter is just like an easier one to make compared to the others. No new map, possibly no Survivor, just the Killer so far and I can't imagine them being to different from what we already have.
I'm just hoping the new Killer has a unique mechanic which proves me wrong.
-
Rins dad nude or uninstall
-
I'm wary of the upcoming disappointment but because of that I'm being pessimistic so if it's actually ok I'll be really glad.

That has nothing to do with solo queue vs swf.
Mentioning the difficulty difference between solo and swf is relevant to swf Vs solo queue.

Just because more swf use BT than solo's do for your games that has nothing to do with swf vs solo's in power level, that is unrelated.
If you believe this then your post should be about convincing more solo survivors to run BT, not about solo's being too far from swf. Those are completely separate topics.
I think that is one of the many issues which make solo queue such a unfair and rough game mode.
-

For me they always do.
However, even if they don't for your games, that isn't a solo queue vs swf problem, that's simply people choosing to not run it. That would be a totally different argument than what this post is originally about. Whether they choose to run it or not is completely unrelated to it being a swf or solo.
I disagree. With borrowed time being one of the meta perks, there's always at least 1 person in a swf running it. However in most solo queue matches it's just me running it.
It put you as a solo player at a disadvantage because of the useless perks other teammates decide to run instead.

"I'm mostly wanting to complain about how borrowed time is not a "let's help randoms" perk it's more of a "I'm gonna help my friend" perk."
Those are the same things functionally. You make it sound like BT only functions for SWF. It is working for you exactly the same as it is for them.
Except in solo queue other players Don't bring it and as a solo player you are the one facing consequences for that.

So you're referring to a skill difference?
That doesn't really make sense then in what we are talking about. At lower ranks you will have worse killers so it doesn't matter if you aren't playing at a rank 1 level.
You're original point also had nothing to do with skill level at all either. Your point was about campers/tunnelers you run into and survivors that leave you on the hook. This isn't a skill point, this is a play style of other players you run into point.
If we are changing the issue to being about skill as to why you're dying then this is an entirely different point. Also, saying you shouldn't need to play like a rank 1 to play solo is saying you shouldn't have to learn to play better to do solo queue. This just doesn't make sense.
Because it's about so many different things which seperate solo queue players from swfs.
I'm mostly wanting to complain about how borrowed time is not a "let's help randoms" perk it's more of a "I'm gonna help my friend" perk. There is no equivalent for solo queue players needing that protection from instantly being tunneled or anything similar.
Also teammates recently are kinda clueless at all ranks.

You really only ever need an exhaustion perk. I use sprint burst. Everything else is just convenience. Urban Evasion for example, or spine chill.
Learn basic loops and take a look at your general positioning in games.
When you are caught in a bad position no perk will help you eitherway.
I've gone through so many trials where I did not even see the killer once.
You do not really have to play like a Rank 1 in solo que. Maybe your particular way of playing is what gets you into the situations you tend to get into.
If bhvr started to bend the game to everyones will we would have no game at all.
It's the fact that the killer will eventually get you and once you are hooked that's pretty much it. Survivors won't ever bring borrowed time like I always bring because they're too busy running urban trying not to get caught.
Tunnelling is common as is camping, I'm not complaining about that because it's a part of the game, as long as it's not really excessive. It's the lack of defense as a solo player once you are hooked. If you're lucky enough to not be camped by the killer and be unhooked before struggle then you're already at a level where swf players would normally be at.

"we shouldn't all be forced to play like a rank 1 Survivor to play the game solo."
What are you referring to exactly?
I'm referring to the fact you said you're rank one and that you don't encounter this problem often according to your previous comment.
-
@Blueberry said:
I just can't relate to this at all.
I play strictly solo on PC at rank 1 and have none of these issues whatsoever. I survive probably 8/10 games and the hard camper/tunneler is rare to come across. Most times people talk about a killer tunneling or camping it really isn't. Yeah occasionally I'll get left to die on a first hook or it will be a mori/iri hatchet game but those are extremely rare to find and I play A LOT.
The thing is we shouldn't all be forced to play like a rank 1 Survivor to play the game solo. You're obviously pretty good and you do have the benefit of playing on PC which leads to less BS hits happening.
I'm a casual player who plays mainly solo on Xbox and I take all kinds of weird perks in but being at a disadvantage is clear in so many games once I am caught by the killer for the first time.

Top Tier - Monto, Noob3, and Oztdarva. I just recently got into watching Ozt's vids. He really is really nice and informative as many people have stated. Not Toxic at all.
Mid Tier - Puppers, Tru3. They can have some interesting videos, but some of Puppers conversations during gameplay are a bit lost on me. And Tru3 can be enjoyable to watch one moment, to either overly confident, to angry/depressing the next. But he is okay.
Low Tier - TydeTime. He is always negative, most of the videos I see of him playing is him 4king survivors while simultaneously crying about how weak killers are in the exact same video. And survivors just extending the chase a little bit with a dropped pallet will send him off. Also don't really agree with his opinions on items/perks. If he'd lower the negativity he could be a lot more entertaining to watch.
Wow You want to shut this thread down yourself?

Tome 2 releases in January. Tome 1 - Level 2 releases tomorrow or Thursday. Why would they tease Tome 2 when the next chapter isn't even out yet? Not smart from a marketing stance.
Well I meant level 2 of tome 1 is out on the 14th. I'm sure most people got the idea.

Im really not happy or don’t even really care for the whole “Rin’s dad” as killer idea. I mean it’s cool that the devs are continuing the story of a chapter if it is but I would’ve liked a brand new original chapter cause it’s been awhile since we had one.
Maybe if they post more about stuff missing from maps then I’ll be interested and like the OP said, it could be Pennywise, or a chapter based around a thief or a mystery.
I agree with you exactly. I just think there are so many other options to explore that will feel a lot more fresh. I don't see Rins father being very interesting but having said that I don't know what he'll be like if he was in game.
I just hope it's teasing tome 2 lore rather than the next chapter. I thought teasing the next chapter would come maybe next week.
Tome 1 level 2 releases in 2 days (14th) that to me suggests the Spirit lore with her father is just an insight into the second time.

OMG it must be a Thief licenced chapter. Omg omg I wonder if he's sold the katana yet.

John Wolfe (harshly critical) the criminally underrated horror/variety streamer YouTuber woot woot. He played dbd in the beta days, he's back streaming it now and he's a blast to watch. He's not the best but he tries to have fun and his commentary is often incredibly funny and wacky.
In terms of pure dbd content creators It's, Fungoose and AngryPug are probably my favourite to watch. They are all experts in their own rights and they have some really interesting stuff happen to them in game.
-
Loading times as well as lobby times on consoles is just way too much. To get 2 back to back matches it normally takes 45 minutes (including in match)
-
If I was in charge of things I would make night shroud come back twice as fast but make his exposed effect last 20 seconds everytime instead of whatever it is now.
Also I'll make it so if you are not fully stalked over time your stalk bar will deteriorate. 99% stalk after 30 seconds will then be 96% or something similar.
-
When it takes longer to find a lobby than to play a match there's definitely something wrong.
Just look at how long Console loading screens are, pc can load you into a match in seconds, Console is at least a minute per loading screen.
I'm just waiting for the next tome to be released so I can complete it. It's just too draining Binge playing match to match to match.
-
The new chapter will not come with a new map. Maybe Yamaha estate will also fit the next Killer.
I'm hoping they don't do a generic Oni, or do something similar to the spirit like 'the geisha' unless they are really unique and interesting to play.
