if the devs dont do anything about hackers in higher mmr brackets.
seriously. ive already gone against like 4 hackers since mmr was added.
I'm not really sure what else they can do. Once they're aware of a hack, they roll out a banwave on all accounts caught using it. But that's only after EAC is able to catch it.

Are you betting that people on this forum, who only complain, will complain? lol

Maybe I started playing when the game was less intense, but I've noticed it being much more of a problem this year than the last.
I don't blame my teammates for being blockheads if they're clearly still very new. But I do tend to get teammates that assume I'm running Self-Care, so they unhook me without BT and run away with the killer right in front of us. They don't even attempt to take a protection hit. Combo that with a killer who doesn't really care about giving equal game time and I'm out of the match before I know it. Granted, they could still be new themselves and I've made my fair share of mistakes, but it's a real catch-you-next-tuesday way of playing.
I've been seeing less suicides and DCs from my teammates, but I know people are still doing it. Ironically, I'm getting more killers DCing again, although at least one had to have been an accident since they were playing really well prior to the DC.

He's not unique in terms of his general power, being able to slow survivors down, but his gameplay is very unique IMO. It forces one survivor off gens to focus on the box, and his slowdown ability takes effort to achieve.
Yeah, I was talking to my friend about it. Playing as him seems much more unique than playing against him.
-
I'm not upset that there's another survivor in the queue. But another Feng... 🤢
-
He's fun to play against, but he still doesn't feel like anything all that unique. But that's really more of the game itself.
-
DBD challenges tend to be pretty miserable. Some are a fun little challenge or something simple that isn't too crazy, but the rest are either bizarre challenges that are a headache to deal with or painfully long grinds. Stun or blind the killer 20 times took me like 3 days to complete lol

An addon which literally prevents you from using your power is a buff???????? Traps escape rate still being rng and a buffed hex which will get destroyed in 5 seconds anyway?

what about everyone that bought pinhead?

NO MITHER

For me it's more that people forget that they aren't playing against NPCs and that those other players might like to play the game and score some points too.

Hmm yes this game isn't survivor sided.... Lets ignore the amount of survivor sided maps vs killer sided maps, perks that have no earning requirement on the survivors side, items, gen speeds.... People only call this game not survivor sided because they removed infinites and pallet vacuums when those made playing killer unplayable unless you were nurse.
how about we ignore u instead 💅

That's fine to me, that's the minority. We all know the high pick rate of spirit is because easy skill high reward. Once it's not easy skill most will quit her.
I'm sure even then, lots of people will play. Especially people that haven't played her yet and won't really care about playing her in a way they've never experienced.
-
The easiest way to prevent this is to not have TTV in your name. If you want people to come watch your stream, don't get mad if they take advantage of that lol
-
I'm pretty sure they said you have to work for points, but imo taking the L for all other 4 players counts as earning it in my book.
-
None that I can think of. I don't rely on any single perk too strongly.

Keep in mind, whenever people mourn something in the game being 'dead' due to changes, it usually means people are unwilling to actually develop skills with that something
I usually read it as people that use these advantages as their sole method of play getting filtered out and unwilling to see why it might have been changed. Similar to when DS was changed.

I love this logic. Doesn't this imply survivors have had numerous tools deemed too strong so nerf after nerf was needed to balance them? Meaning it has been a survivor sided game for a long time.
The game has been balanced in all kinds of ways. It's just easier to fall into confirmation bias when you only focus on the changes that personally affect you.
-
If somebody likes Spirit enough, they'll continue to play her just fine I wager.

It is just killer In general is more fun fo talk about...I mean when is the last time survivor meta changed any? or was interesting to talk about?
Copium, like you're coping a whole lot. It seems like you're upset with killer changes and using the joy emoji to cover that. Just my take.

That sounds like a really interesting build. I might try that out. Can I ask how is Camaraderie?
To op i sorta change my build a lot. I have set a rule for myself to only use at most 1 meta perk. This has made my games more fun and have pushed me to do better in the game. My current build that I will change soon is Iron Will, Premonition, Fixated and Bond.
It's pretty good. It isn't infallible, but it does buy you a good amount of time if killer is circling hook and your teammates aren't able to commit to a safe unhook yet. Second hook too, which is a lot of help.

I love that line of thinking! The perks are there for a reason, and you CAN make them work for you. I love seeing players like you in my matches
Definitely. I run BT in my David build, but that build is based on WGLF, paired with BT, Botany Knowledge, and We'll Make It. I guess you could call it meta, but it's mainly a purely altruistic build. All centered around having fun helping others.
Same. I can respect meta perks if they're a part of an intricate build, but they usually seem slapped together haphazardly.

I wish camaraderie would give teammates an indication that you have it when you get hooked
Like a little radio icon next to your name on the UI or something. It'd be so helpful for solo Qs who wanna use it.
That'd be interesting.
-
I rarely run meta. Right now I'm running Camaraderie, Second Wind, Empathy, and Breakdown on Steve.
I think anyone saying they're forced to run certain perks need to calm down and reframe their experience. I play to have fun so my perks reflect that. I don't always have fun every match, but these perks are more fun than just having my ass covered every time.
-
No offense but all of your threads recently seem very high in copium.
-
It'll be nice to have the killers they've ultimately shied away from become better contenders for play so we get more match variety.

Nerfing Dead Hard would destroy most W survivors tbf.
You don't really need any perks to run a straight line. If anything with Dead Hard gone, Sprint Burst, Lithe, and Balanced Landing (assuming you're near any kind of step or hill) would easily swoop in and take its place.

what exactly does this have to do with queue times again? xD
Essentially if the MMR is working, it means that there are more high ranked killers than high ranked survivors, meaning that they're waiting longer to get paired with people that match them.
Idk if I really buy that though because the queue times were the total opposite before now, with survivors waiting forever to get into a match even with low rank killers and killer queue being nearly instant.

Gotcha. I mean I’d take that idea over nothing.
It'd still have to be rebalanced a bit, but it makes more sense that the higher risk rewards more protection than the lower risk (technically no risk, but you know what I mean lol).
-
Thankfully just a dickhead Doctor that kept slugging us over and over until we all bled out. His build was designed around it, which I will admit was clever.
-
Nothing about the game is toxic. Save that term for something applicable, like trouble in the home or an abusive work environment.
In terms of sweat, I think it applies to anyone gunning for the game to end as quickly as possible for you or for someone else (i.e. tunneling, gen rushing). I'm sure everyone has their own definition, but that's what I go by.

I haven't seen her in a while. I used to get her constantly.
-
Mirroring what others have said, if you feel like it's time, take that time.
Keep the game open as an option to come back to someday if there's new content you're interested in or you get that spark again, but it's a game that is largely the same and very easy to get tilted in while playing and it's just not worth it sometimes. What is worth it is yourself.

So No Mither is basically:
5 seconds making grunts of pain, 5 seconds not making any?
or…
Grunts of pain volume is reduced to 50%?
Grunts of pain reduced by x% on both.
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2515000#Comment_2515000
That could be ok, I guess. Depends on what “not all the time” means as I don’t know the current No Mither values for how frequently you’re silent.
No Mither caps out at 50% (0/25/50) while injured, but you're injured the entire match. Iron Will caps out at 100% (50/75/100).
-
To be totally honest, I doubt many players are quitting killer. It's most likely the sweats getting mad over their recent matches changing roles so they can sweat on the side they usually don't play. Really it's probably for the better that they feel compelled to try something new (albeit not that new) with the game to broaden their perspective. But it won't be long before they're in the same predicament.
Killer already gets the most BP, meaning the game is less of a grind if you play them. Outside of that, I'm sure all they could really do is implement something like the Duty Finder in FFXIV where you're awarded more points for playing a less popular, but still required role.
-
@Rey_512 said:
Iron Will needs to be changed as follows to compensate:
When standing or crouching completely still as survivor, your grunts of pain noise is reduced by 80/90/100%.
This makes it so if you’re HIDING from a killer and not running around then you won’t make noise. But if you start running then you resume making pain noises.
Seems like a fair “balancing” of an overpowered perk.
It'd honestly just be easier to swap the percentage values between Iron Will and No Mither. Make it so Iron Will is never completely silent, but No Mither is at the cost of being broken the entire round.
-
It's annoying, but the cosmetic is ugly anyway so I wouldn't have been likely to buy it either way.
I'm sure Behavior has some canned excuse as to why they do this that's far from the truth about it actually being done to maximize profit on sets while limiting creativity.
-
@Clowning said:
Because just like any bully, they only ever feel safe to showcase this behaviour when they're 100% certain there's nothing you can do about it, never realising how sad that is.
And don't let anyone tell you it's because they want to "reward" the Killer with a free hit. It is a pure power trip thing.
I used to do it for a free hit, but killers told me to stop so I stopped. Never a power trip thing.
-
To farm for points if my teammates rushed gens. Or to make sure the last injured person gets out.
Or to sacrifice myself to killer if I can tell they're less experienced than me and had a rough time.
