The devs could even make an offering that allows the group to have the gates stay at what % you left it at.
So some games you can have the gate left at 99 and some games you have to open it.
Balance it out a bit.
-
Oni Is a good killer to me but I still haven't mastered his power as I hardly play him. He's a good tracker.
DS Is really fun to play because there is nothing better than forcing survivors to do what you want when in chase and not what they want.
PH is a killer I like but he needs a buff to his cage and other slight buffs.
Blight I hate as every time I use them all I get is SWF sweaty lobbies. I don't physically have the time to even get used to them. So I don't play them. I might give them a try after this new update is here.
Twins, have 0 gen pressure. It's fun to scream " don't yeet me " down the mic but that's about it. I won't play them because it isn't worth losing matches with them. They really need a massive buff. Survivors should not be able to run around with Viktor on them, it should down them.
-
I'd like 2 killers and then 8 survivors

I think DS should be reworked to this:
The perk still functions exactly the same but it has a maximum of 45 seconds active time but when the survivor is being chased, the timer does not go down. And if the survivor goes down the timer is reset and doubled to 90 seconds, forcing the killer to really throw a lot of pressure away if they do want to tunnel. It doesn't stop tunneling entirely, but it makes the killer have a very big disadvantage if they do try to tunnel, which would be very discouraging to any killer who considers trying it.
I'm very sorry but that is stupid. That's going to be an a god like survivor running around in chase with an unlimited duration of DS until downed then it activates. That's a mega buff to the max for survivors.
If this happened killers would just quit on the spot. It wouldn't be worth going up against 4 god like survivors all running DS and BT.
Imagine 2 people being unhooked at the same time both with this DS. They'll literally follow the killer around the entire game to stay in chase and keep their god like DS.
With this DS, it'd be survivors chasing the killer to keep god like status.
-
I'd personally rather the exit gate regress so it can't be left a 99 and opened in a click. I do think it's over powered and only helps mainly SWF lobbies get their team mates off hook.
-
New players can't keep up with old players so it forces new players to leave. They don't have the good perks, add-ons or offerings. I've been playing a while and still have characters at level 15. I can't catch up either and using T1 perks. It's actually rather unfair to new players this game. Hopefully they will allow new players to catch up easier. Maybe make the blood web cost less.
-
To the user who posted this topic.
I don't think you understand what body blocking is or even understand what holding the game hostage is. I'm sorry but your post is stupid.
-
A lot of people on here are complaining about tunnelling and camping.
The previous match where I just been t bagged. I found a survivor chased them and on the 1st pallet drop I got tbagged. The first pallet drop from the 1st survivor I found.
Why are you coming on here complaining about tunnelling and camping if that's not the case?
A lot of players are asking for t bagging to be removed and yano what once the mmr comes in, I got a feeling these people that think they're amazing and run around t bagging are going to have harder matches and will t bag less when they have to go up against killers on their actual skill level.
I'm going to be the one laughing in the end when the game stops putting me in with survivors with 3,000 hours gameplay and with all perks unlocked. So guess jokes on your survivors who are t bagging so have fun whilst it lasts.
BTW t bagging killers only forces them to start to lobby dodge. No wonder queue times going up lmao
-
So just been in another match getting t bagged at pallet drop by p3 characters.
So any info on the t bagging removal or are the devs to busy playing friday the 13th?
Oh, the person got tunnelled and camped to death for t bagging me.
-
Of course it's healthy for the game.
I may be a red rank killer on most killers, but I couldn't hit a single person when using nurse or blight.
So why do I need to be put in with red rank survivors when using a killer I can't even use? Because my game shows me as a red rank killer? No us killers shouldn't be punished for trying new killers out or trying to get better with them.
-
Here's my take for DS.
I hooked 1 survivor, I hooked a 2nd survivor, someone unhooked 1st survivor, 1st survivor ran up to 2nd survivor and tried to unhook them, I grabbed the 1st survivor as they was trying to unhook, they hit me with DS and hooked the 2nd survivor and both ran off.
All of your saying DS wouldn't activate if you wasn't tunnelling. Where in this was I tunnelling? Someone please tell me. All I tried to do was stop a survivor unhooking a survivor.
DS needs to be deactivated once the survivor does anything game related at all. Heal, go in a locker, gen, try unhooking someone etc.

Their number one focus should be fixing queue times. Right now queue times are the worst part of DBD and I feel like it shouldn't be so hard to fix them after 3 years, but they can't seem to even come close. I've bene in suvivor queue for 10 min at 11 pm as I write this. The game is totally broken when you have to wait 10-15 minutes just to play a match. It trumps every other issue by about a mile.
You want queue times fixing? This was my games yesterday as a killer. T bagged every pallet drop, flashlight saves, survivors going down on pallet or near locker to stun me when picking up, 2 survivors body blocking the hook, flashlight clicking, pc players doing mad crazy turns, missing hits that should hit, gen rushing, players jumping hatch with keys, and the list goes on. I don't think it's worth playing killer in this game to have sweaty matches like this every game. Why do we need this stress as a killer?
My opinion is killer is not even worth bothering with for the extra BP you get.
A killer with 50 hours on the game with a level 15 killer that is being put in with survivors with 3,000 hours on the game with ever perk, add-on and offering available isn't balanced.
Queue times are going to go up if they put noob killers with pro survivors.
-
I don't think any amount of blood points is wort going into match against sweaty swf lobbies who only want to gen rush, flash light save, body block the hook, go down near pallets/locker to stun killer when picking up, t bagged every pallet drop. I don't want extra bp to deal with that.
The PC players vs the ps4 have such an advantage with everything they do. The PC is what's ruining dbd on ps4. killers that can lunge 15 feet, hit 3 feet through a window, get stunned on a pallet on your side then bounce back to their side.
This game has got so boring I managed 2-3 games and turned it off and went on something else. If the devs don't want to deal with how bad this game is, is it actually worth playing. If a friend invites me I'll join but tbh it's not worth going on it.
-
I'm personally hoping with the new matchmaking update. It actually gives swf the killers it deserves.
I can't even try to get good with nurse or blight or anything that takes a while to get used to because all I ever get is sweaty swf lobbies absolutely slaughtering because I've never used the characters ever.
-
Oh look at that I'm on another game now. Just closed the application because I really cba with dying by accident. Game loses another player for an unknown time whilst I play something better.
-
If I played the blight right now. I'm basically a rank 20 killer with him. I couldn't hit 1 person with him, I never tried him ever again. Same as the nurse, I can't hit anyone with her either.
-
I'm not having fun on the game either to be honest with you.
When I play survivor, I get outclassed by the killer nearly every game because I play with my friend who is rank like 15.
When I play killer, all I get is outclassed by sweaty SWF lobbies. T bagging every pallet drop, body blocking the hook, gen rushing, going down on pallets or at lockers on purpose so you can't pick them up, flashlight to the face every 2 seconds, flashlight clicking, people glitching on gens.
It's just absolutely sweatyness every game. I'm actually been thinking it might be time for a new game. I don't think this game will be in my future as much.
Even my friend who is like rank 15 has got bored already of the game. Even he's not having fun going up against rank 2 nurses who are just camping.
-
I didn't even get to do it as it is closed now? They're hiding it from us players who actually want to fill it in.
-
Undying didn't need a nerf. It actually made the game harder tbh. but like you said, the swf complained because it was over powered apparently. It's always killer nerfs and never survivor nerfs in this game.
-
Players have asked for survivors in groups to only have 1 perk per lobby, so 1 ds, 1 bt, 1 self care, 1 sprint, 1 deception etc. It's fallen on deaf ears.
Most of the players want SWF balancing out so it's not as sweaty as what's like right now.
My previous match today. I downed a player, he went down next to a locker where a player was in waiting for me to pick them up so they could head on me and force me to drop the survivor. Luckily I was just out of reach of this and walked away with the survivor.
hopefully in the future we will see a balance happen on SWF so it can be toned down a bit, hopefully by limiting their perks, add ons, offerings, etc.
-
I'm always dodging lobbies. Not because I have to, it's because I need to.
As soon as I'm on that screen. All I can see is toxic players. I really don't want to go into a lobby getting t bagged at pallet drops. I'd rather re queue and hope I see some nicer characters who don't look as toxic.
I personally wait for a mix of players so it's a low chance of SWF sweaty groups.
2 times today in different lobbies I've had sweaty SWF body blocking the hooks, using head on to get saved, pallets being dropped as soon as I pick up survivor, flash light saves. It's all because of SWF sweaty lobbies using comms going down near each other to saves. Personally I avoid it now. As killer my queue time is nothing. If the sweaty SWF want to play like this, I'll lobby dodge.
If devs take out the screen where I can't tell what system they're on, I'll quit the game on the spot and be gone.
-
Gen rush is the equal to tunnelling.
-
@Yords said:
It is not because they are both dealing with the objectives.
Tunneling = killing survivors = the killers objective
"gen rushing" = survivors doing generators = the survivors' objective
That's a big no no. If either of you do that your going to end up with really low BP and it's a waste of a game.
If survivors come in and then gen rush. It's honestly a wasted game for them. They are going to get such low BP it would have been easier not to go in that game and gen rush.
For the killer getting low BP is not a big deal as you'll be in a game in less than 5 minutes usually compared to survivor which can be sometimes 15+ minutes.
There is no reason to actually gen rush other than to try and get 5,000 points for escaping.
If I'm in a game and they gen rush, the first person that I get on the hook is faced camped to death. I'm not going to go into a lobby where they want to gen rush and score low BP. I really don't have the time for it.
-
There is thousands of posts begging for matchmaking. Your queue number is 97,567 for this. Pleas wait your turn.
There is suppose to be some sort of matchmaking implemented soon. If you look at the new patch notes it's shown there

My idea to prevent the killer for camping would be to set a perimeter (15 meter for example) around the survivor he just hooked and if the killer stays in this perimeter for more than 5 seconds for example, he runs slower (for a couple of seconds) or the life of the survivor doesnt go down.
The idea is to give a chance to the survivors to be unhooked so at least they can escape.
They'll not take camping out of the game because you will get slugged on the floor and left dead on the floor instead. We don't have to worry about BT or DS or anything if your slugged and left to die on the floor.
If the killer is camping do a gen.

Get pretty close to a million blood points before you prestige. Then you are level 40, which gets you a fair amount of perks.
This is the problem. The grind is to much for new players to even catch the old players up. I've been playing a while and I still have 7 survivors all sat at level 15 because I don't have enough BP to even get them to 40. I've 5 killers sat at level 15 because I don't have enough BP to even get them up to 40 either.
Going in a match with level 15 perks against swf high ranked with al the perks isn't fun at all.
Is this going to be taken into consideration with the new match making.
I go in as a survivor and I get rank 19 killer with 1 perk. What are they going to do? New to the game and get nothing but ran around the map for 10 minutes. The guy DCD out of our lobby.
This game is no where near fun for any new player.

So I saw Adam had a key, I made sure to sacrifice him by going after him every time I saw him. I sacrificed him. One of his teammates ran and got Adam's key. I hooked him on death hook.
At 2 gens left, the survivors stopped doing gens.
They hid and searched for the hatch (recall there are 3 survivors). The key bro, hid, doing nothing.
I literally ignored the other two searching for that key bro (because keys are stupid and I hate them).
I couldn't find him and ended up killing one of the other survivors.
Key Bro escapes. He did nothing to help his team. He wasted my time and the survivors time.
KEYS HAVE AN AWFUL DESIGN. FIX THEM!
In my personal opinion it seems like the devs are ignoring any player asking for key nerf. My personal opinion is that they won't do it because it would mean nerfing the survivors. Devs only seem to like nerfing killers. My personal opinion.

I hope that never happens. Tbagging is part of the essence of pvp games.
There's bagging in games and then there's t bagging in dbd. This game is made purely for survivors to win and out class any killer in the game due to meta perks.
T bagging needs removing
-
Another match. I just got t bagged again. I tunnelled and camped them until dead.
Why are the devs ignoring players plea for t bagging to be removed?
-
@neoplay said:
In my opinion, Decisive Strike should be removed for higher rank players. That would nearly fix the balance problems in higher ranks.
It would be nice if DS was removed for higher ranked players.

Please balance matchmaking. Yesterday and earlier this morning I was unable to play on my rank 1 survivor because only two people would fill the lobbies. Then during the afternoon, my games started to fill up and I was finally happy. Until, both my games ended super quickly as I found out that 3/4 of my team are new player survivors being matched against a top ranking killer. Like, okay I understand that my problem before was that I wasn't getting any games, but to fill my lobby with new players is outrageous. Not only for me, but also for these new players because they are essentially being slaughtered within the opening minutes and getting farmed by the killers. Couldn't you guys maybe fill our lobbies with medium tiered survivors or killers instead of putting top tiers against low tiers.

Hoping we get new matchmaking soon. It's kind of pathetic it hasn't been fetched in to be honest.

@NoxVeno said:
Yes match making is horrible and is imo the biggest problem with the game. Still not an excuse to dc. You don't know rank until the end of game anyways. You failed to state what level you are. A new rank 14 killer shouldn't have to deal with a lvl 6 survivor. Under your logic the killer should just DC. Don't confuse ranking with bloodpoints. If he needs perks he can just play another match. I solo Qued until I maxed out my 1st survivor and then maxed out my 1st killer before I played as a killer. Alot of bad games but did not DC.
I really don't think you understand how unbalanced this game is against players. Don't expect a reply from me. Like I said in my previous games. The only games that have penalties for leaving is dead games.
-
If your on about me, I'm a red rank killer and a red rank survivor.
-
If I'm not having fun Instead I guess the hook gets me on 2nd stage. These penalties should not have been put in the game. Instead of penalties, there should have been better matchmaking implemented into the game.
I don't think putting me and my friend in with a rank 1 killer is fun. My friend is literally rank was 14 and now he deranked to 15 and has 0 good perks.
What am I suppose to do if the can't do anything other that die? It's not fun for either of us.
This is an example. We got into a match with a rank 2 nurse. The nurse face camped the hook every time they got a hook. Let's just say it was a fast match with no penalties.
The only other game that implemented penalties I've played was DCUO and that's because it was a dead game giving dead lobbies. The only games I've seen putting penalties into their games is the ones with less players where the game has almost died.
-
DS needs to deactivate in game once the survivors does anything gam related. Does a gen, goes in a locker, heals. be healed, check a chest, does a totem and so. You aren't tunnelling a player if the characters is doing something in game.
I've downed a player, gone all way across map chasing some, downed them, hooked them, returned to 1st downed player and been hit with a DS.
It's about time DS got a massive nerf on it.
The amount of times that a survivor has ran up to hook just to get grabbed by me so they can use DS and unhook a survivor and run off.
Nerf DS.
-
PS4 to PC progression
-
DS needs to deactivate once you do anything in game. Go in a locker, heal someone, be healed, attempt a save, sabotage, do a gen etc. All these should disable DS.
-
Having a totem counter in game will give such a massive negative effect on totem based perks. This would be another killer nerf again.
-
@LapisInfernalis said:
This is not the way. If I understand you correctly, a 4-man swf can only equip 4 perks in total, right? So a group of 4 solos still has 16 perks in total. Yes, coordinated solo teams are rare, but they exist, so this would not only nerf swf into oblivion. Who wants to play with just 1 or 2 perks? I don't. Many people will just stop to play. You can't punish players for playing with their friends.
Even solos could write their perks in chat, so that others know of your BT, UB or Adre. Since Crossplay exists, this is not guaranteed anymore, because consoles don't have chat.
If I remember correctly, DbD Mobile shows every Survivor's perks in the lobby (not to the killer I guess). Why not implement this along with what Item you carry (the rarity+add-ons)? So everyone knows what the other has equipped. This is some of the imformation you get when playing swf, so this would boost solos a LOT.
Don't punish player for playing with their friends. Punish them for using comms.
-
I would like the option to disable pc cross play and only have console cross play.
-
Yesterday on one game. I was 3 feet through the window and got downed by this twice. My other friends got this in the same game. We decided this lobby was not for us. Really quick game.
I really hope they sort these hit boxes out soon/

@6yXJI0 said:
Hook grabs kinda promote facecamp gameplay and this: (spam unhook to bait a hit from a killer without a grab) is boring and whacky mechanic.
If i want to trade my life to save someone from hitting second hook stage, i should be able to.
So basically you want to unhook the survivor for free, then them take a BT hit and both run off with 0 consequences.
This has to be a bad troll post?
-
My friend keeps dying by accident on the hook because his controller button is knackered. If penalties was in this game he'd be on a 24 hour ban already.
It isn't a ban needed for dying on hook. It's the 2nd part struggle phase that needs taking out of the game and instead being like the 1st phase where you don't need to do anything.

@wildcardyo said:
Currently, there is nothing that stops survivors from crouching in 1 area and moving a little every so often and then crouch circling a structure if the killer comes by.
This can go on indefinitely, way beyond what is necessary for the survivor to get away. Some survivors troll for long periods of time and do not even attempt to do their objective. They just troll.
There needs to be either a timer or a perk for killers that sniffs out hiders that abuse the mechanic. This is way too powerful. Do I need to download walls (since there is no security) to prevent time wasters from ruining my day or can we add something in game?
I ran around for 10 minutes or more on a map because the last 2 survivors was doing this. All they did was avoid me and didn't even touch a generator until they knew I wasn't going to go away from the gens. I wasn't going to let these do this as the cows would get tem eventually.

@antgnstea said:
All the perks you buff for solos ends up buffing SWF 4 times. I see a solution for that. First, lobby for solo q, and SWF should be separated like before. And SWF's should play 4 perks in total. For example, a group of 4 survivor could only equip one perk per person. In a group of 3 the lobby creator could equip 2 perks and other again one perk per person. And finally group of 2 survivor could equip 2 perks per person.
I strongly believe SWF can handle this adjustment, giving they already have access to much more information that requires solo to equip a perk to know. It is completely different when solos equip BT, DS, Adrenaline from SWF who knowingly use them at the right time. For solos even the most powerful meta perks can go to waste cause they can't coordinate it well with teammates.
In this way, SWF will be bring down to solo level, since we can't ever elevate solo to SWF level.
I agree with SWF needing a massive nerf and killer needs a massive buff. The killer should be able to run an extra 1, 2 and 3 perks, so 2 SWF, 3 SWF and 4 SWF lobby to bridge the gap between SWF and killer.
The SWF lobbies needs to be stopped by making the survivors not be able to all run the same perks by limiting the perk to one per lobby. S basically only 1 member can run DS, one member can run BT, one member run self care etc and so on.

I'm getting tired of doing my hardest to survive a game and make it to the end only to die because of a clutch perk. It rewards killers for doing bad and has almost no downsides other than being a hex (which doesn't even light up till the exit gates are powered). Sure, you can tell me to just cleanse totems but guess what? That's inefficient as #########. Even after making myself the designated totem cleanser for a few games, I quickly realized how much time I was wasting when I could've actually been contributing to my team by doing gens. Even when I ignored totems and memorized their locations, the killer usually downs me before I even get to do anything about it and before you know it, I'm dead on hook cause my teammates are cowards and leave me to die.
It doesn't reward killers for being bad. It punishes survivors for gen rushing. It makes the killer be down 1 perk the entire game until gens are done.
Like I tell all that complain about NOED. Cleanse some totems on the way around the map.
I was on yesterday and as soon as I unhooked a guy, I got downed with NOED. The killer was camping so I told the other 3 to exit and not even bother. It really isn't difficult to counter NOED.
-
Apparently they tried to do something about face camping before and it didn't end well at all and they took it back out. Face camping is aloud in the game. Deal with it by doing gens instead.
-
