Voice comms have a huge problem, in Europe not everyone speaks the same language. Dont know about Asian servers but if Chinese, Japanese and Koreans get thrown in the same servers you have the same problem.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2728013#Comment_2728013

I dont think they should be giving big buffs to Killers if they intend to implement a form of comunication for Solo, once it gets implemented the game will change drastically and a lot of stuff will have to be rebalanced so its better if they dont waste time on stuff that may have to change again in a few months, for Killers they should put QoL, bug fixes, minor buffs to the weakest links like Legion and redesign/buff the worst perks (Insidious, Monstrous Shrine, Overwhelming Pressence, all Huntress perks etc), changes to CoH and stuff like that.

What I mean is since the game balance is going to get screwed hard when Solo gets comms is best if they leave it alone for a while and focus on fixing stuff (except things that are in dire need of some tweaking like Legion).

'Voice comms have a huge problem, in Europe not everyone speaks the same language. Dont know about Asian servers but if Chinese, Japanese and Koreans get thrown in the same servers you have the same problem.'

Odd that that does not seem to be a talked-about problem for Overwatch, or CS:GO, or LoL, or DoTA...Why would this game be so magically different that regions would not allow voice comms?

  • Can Killers get base kit Deerstalker? To avoid slugging, of course.

I mean whatever you say but I play SWF without voice comms and actually do better because I find having to listen to people talking over the game very distracting.

    Then you're an exception.

There's a reason team-based games have in-game voice comms, and it's because teams work better when they can communicate.

The devs need to just admit this, add it, and balance Killers around it.

Voice comms wonโ€™t make people actually coordinated use them and you have still the problem that many people canโ€™t talk to each other due to speaking different languages.

People tend to play in their region, which has people who speak the same language. You're talking about a problem that rarely happens in ANY game with co-op and voice comms.

No. I don't feel like getting yelled at by people who shouldn't even be playing the game every match.

The real strength of SWF isn't voice comms; it's the ability to pick your teammates.

    Bunk.

The real advantage of SWF is the voice communication. Being able to tell your friends, in under a second or 2, where you are, what you are doing, and where the Killer is in real time.

Stealth Killers like Ghostface are countered by communicating in Discord. 'He's by Killer Shack' when he's sneaking is 100% BS. But that's what SWFs gives you; Discord voice communication.

The devs, and Survivors, need to admit this break the game wide open, and then the devs can add it and balance around it. Because Killers beat SoloQ and SWFs beat Killers, because of Discord.

And you could mute mouth-breathers who are screaming at you. And report them.

But voice comms are broken, and everyone knows it. The devs should just admit they were talking out their butts about how little voice comms affect their game, then balance around it.

  • Good lord. They still can't admit a mistake, can they?

If they want to bridge the gap between SWF and SoloQ; Just. Add. Voice Comms. Then balance Killers around that.

Boom: SoloQ has the exact same advantages as SWFs, and Killers can be balanced around it. Easy bloody fix. No need to tiptoe with half-measures.

But nope! They once said that voice comms barely affect the game, and they need to spend at least 4 years riding that stance into the ground before they will possibly, maybe admit that they might be, just a little but not really, wrong. Like their stance on Phase 2 of the Hook for years. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I agree, it's too harsh. Why maximize it to 24 hour or longer? That's ridiculous.

Because if you quit or crash enough to earn a 24 hour ban; you deserve to be locked out of the game for 24 hours so the people who actually want to play, can play. Nuff said.

I wouldn't really say boons are stronger than hexes, seeing as a good ruin and a killer that is competent can still change a match in a huge way, and killers don't have to even interact with a totem to get the map-wide, instant effects.

Also I thought everyone came to an agreement that Pentimento was a good perk, you just shouldn't use it by itself. Combine it with plaything or even thrill, anything that encourages cleansing, and I can usually get huge value. Also while doing one boon once isn't that huge of a time sink, if people keep blessing repeatedly the time does add up.

I just think saying boons are a killer mechanic but 10 times as powerful is false seeing as killer hexes can still have game-changing or game-ending effects, while only really CoH is good out of all the boons. That doesn't mean Boons are OP, it means healing speeds are busted, and I don't know how long you've played for but healing speeds have been busted for a long time, now people just really see why that is.

But the thing is; Survivors don't HAVE to cleanse. They can just apply Boon over the Hex. Boom; no more Hex, no cleansing happened, no Penti can be applied.

That's one of my biggest complaints out of two:

    1. Survivors literally can override Hexes without Cleansing. This means Boons are 'Stronger' than Hexes because they erase Hexes. This also hard counters Penti; no Cleanse, no Penti.
    2. Killers Snuff totems, which just makes them Dull again. Not Cleansed. And No Cleansed; no Penti.

Face Camping is a problem that is becoming more of an issue every day, and is going to reach a breaking point in the near future I think. but your suggestions would break the game in the opposite direction.

Don't ever assume survivors aren't toxic dude. There's toxic people on both sides. And the toxicity needs to be dealt with in a way that doesn't give power to the other hand.

I do think the killer should lose BP and emblem score for just standing within touching distance of a survivor and not moving.

Or the survivor should atleast get more points for being camped, sucks to be tunneled and camped right out of a match after 2 seperate wait lobbies and have like 3000 BP. They should rework the hook struggle system so that every consecutive successful skill check on the hook nets you additional bloodpoints with a great skill check bonus. Atleast you wouldn't leave empty handed. That would probably actually eliminate a good chunk of anger from camped survivors actually.

But I also think survivors should lose BP and emblem score for standing around Tbagging in the exit gate if every survivor is present. Its one thing to hover there to see if you need to go in and save someone still in the match, but if every living survivor is just standing around in the exit gate being smug, there should be a penalty

Also, personal note, I hate flashlight clickers as a survivor more than I hate them as a killer. Simple fix? Flashlight clicks after 5 start giving an audio prompt to the killer. Stop it dudes, it's annoying as F

No punishments, ever. Survivors would attempt to abuse it. Same on the flip-side; Killers would attempt to abuse it.

I do agree, however, that Hooked Survivors should get more BP if a Killer camps. For being wriggling meat or something 'Your pained writhing distracts the Killer & buys your friends time to work on generators; you get bonus BP.'

I personally am fine with boons, while 14 seconds isn't a lot, doing it even a couple times stacks up, including travel time when not on gens.

That doesn't mean CoH is fine though but it is more of a factor of healing being ridiculous, and it always has been. I think if healing got adjusted it would be fine. In terms of them not being destroyed upon being snuffed, I think that would make them really weak and people would go back to the usual 4 meta perks they use. After playing for 4 and some years I'm happy they have something incentive to do a side objective now.

Also I always thought people comparing them to hexes were funny when the only comparison they have is being on totems. Hexes are map wide effects that are activated instantly and provide (usually) strong effects that the killer has access too without actually having to interact in any way. It is why Ruin is so good. Boons on the other hand only effect a limited radius and requires the survivor to find the totem and apply it, and while they can reapply it even after the killer snuffs it, it is time wasted if they repeatedly do it.

Again I totally understand the hate of CoH and healing does need touched, but no other boon is really mind-numbingly broken. I don't think boons are a problem, just already existing bad designs.

The logic behind 'The Survivors spent 14 seconds Booning a totem' is wrong, BTW.

Because the Killer has to spend time finding and Snuffing the totem. So the Survivors did not actually lose time, because the Killer did not gain that time to hunt them down, as he loses time to Snuffing.

  • @Minecraft said:

sure, you can take that stance and only care about your own fun, but then you have no right to complain about anything, including stretched resolution, smurfing, farming etc. (which aren't bannable). i guess you could complain about hackers on some level, but you can't say you're morally better because they're having fun the same way.

that said, tunnel and camp to your heart's content, i'm sure it's plenty of fun!

BS. I can say I'm not responsible for the other side's fun and still call out hackers and stretched rez cheaters, and say I'm better than a filthy cheater.

Because MY gameplay is within the confines of the game and it's rules and intended gameplay mechanics. I'm not as bad as a cheater just because I camp at times. So go elsewhere with your slippery slope fallacy; it's wrong.

  • The problem being that Survivors set the pace of the game, and the current meta means Killers have to claw for every second of the match just to kill, never mind having to find that CoH Boon that's giving 3.5 second heals.

On top of that, Hex: Penti was dropped just after Boons, and it's literally the only perk in the game I think of that gets countered by ignoring it. Let me explain:

    1. Penti cannot be applied if Survivors never Cleanse. Meaning, if Survivors ignore totems, the Killer can NEVER APPLY PENTI.
    2. Survivors can apply Boons without Cleansing. Meaning, again; Penti can never be applied.
    3. Survivors can apply Boons OVER Hex totems. Meaning they never have to Cleanse. Meaning Penti can never be applied.
    4. Killers can Snuff totems, which does not CLEANSE totems. Which means they can't even Snuff a totem, and then apply Penti.
    5. Unlike Hexes, which are 1 and done (for the most part), Boons can be reapplied forever. A Killer can NEVER shut down a Boon permanently.
    6. Most Hexes aren't even worth the 1-and-done Hex status they have. Every Boon is. Yet, again; Boons can be reapplied. Because screw Killers.

So this is why I hate Boons: They are stronger than Hexes. They override Hexes. Killers don't have the time to cleanse then repeatedly. And certain perks (cough Penti cough) Show how glaringly weak Hexes are compared to Boons.

Meaning the devs literally took a Killer mechanic, made it 10 times more powerful, then gave it to Survivors.

I don't want to scream the tired old 'Devs have a Survivor bias', but either this is a bias, or the devs have literally 0 idea how their game functions any more. It's one or the other; bias, or lack of awareness.

Because no one who has any clue how DBD functions would have said 'Hey! You know what Killers need? You know, the people asking for SURVIVORS to have a time sink because gen speeds can go under 4 minutes? A time sink of their own! Based off a Killer power that we will horribly unbalance before giving it to Survivors, just to ensure Killers are forced to do this time sink! Survivors can chose to not cleanse, but if Killers don't Snuff Circle of OP; they will not win! Oh yeah; and while we're giving Survivors Hexes (but better); why don't we allow them to apply these better effects as many times as they want! Am I brilliant or what?'

There are a lot more things than disconnecting people ruining the game, after all there's a reason they are disconnecting

Not always. It's wrong to assume everyone DCing has a valid reason, when people will DC for any petty reason they want, as has been proven every time the DC penalty is suspended.

Stretch res is 100% cheating as it's giving you an advantage over the common player outside of your personal skill.

That being said - as it's something literally built into some video cards outside of the game, I have my doubts the devs really can do anything about it anyway. It's probably going to plague us to the end of time.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2715341#Comment_2715341

That's the core difference though. You consider it cheating.

    I don't.

I consider cheating things like using programs to change the way the game is designed to be played, speed hacks, wall hacks, things that give instant gen completion or unlimited bloodpoints. Those are things I consider cheating and frown upon. Incidentally, if stretched res were something that required any of those 3rd party programs to do, I would frown on it myself.

However because it's something that I can do within the limitations of the game, it's not cheating, and just becomes a personal choice. Literally anyone and everyone can do it and it would take seconds of your time.

In short. I hate cheaters. I don't consider stretched res cheating. Others might, and that's okay if they believe it is. But that's just a little window into another perspective if you don't mind too terribly.

Congrats: You're a cheater AND in denial about your cheating. ๐Ÿคก

I bet you consider it your own skill when you use stretched rez to get around mindgames you otherwise would not if you were not cheating with stretched rez. That's like using an aimbot in an FPS and then thinking you actually earned the win. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Penti is actually good perk but Boon meta destroyed it. I wish we had this perk before. But i still have value from Penti & Plaything combo.

Honestly, either Devs have to remove a Boons ability to overwrite a Hex (how stupid that Boons are stronger than Killer Hex's)

Or they need to make it so Killers Snuffing Totems puts them in a Cleansed state, so Killers can actually USE Penti.

I'm not holding my breath on either change happening.

  • Penti should not need a totem to be Cleansed first. This puts it's use squarely on Survivors shoulders, while Survivors don't need a Cleansed totem to use Boons.

This means Survivors have 0 reason to Cleanse, and Penti is possibly the worst Hex perk in existence, since smart Survivors can prevent it from ever being usable simply by ignoring totems.

How stupid is it that Survivors can completely nullify a Hex perk by IGNORING totems? ๐Ÿคก

  • @SunsetSherbet said:

So people like you are punished for ruining my games.

I'm sorry you can't accept that Killers try to win just as hard as Survivors running 4 meta perks each while trying to complete gens as fast as possible.

But of course; most Survivors don't care if running a sub-5-minute game & zipping out the gates ruins a Killer's fun. That's just how the game goes.

  • @Akumakaji said:

I would love some to see some incentive for the killer to leave the hook and do something else, something like the devour Devour Hope/Make your choice mechanic, ie you get a token when the hooked survivor gets unhooked if you are something like 25 or 30m away when it happens.

It should be baked into the basic killer kit and no perk, we could call it "The Entities Blessing", "Survivors Curse" or "Splintered Hope" . A lot of things are possible like +1% speed/token, +3% bloodpoints/token, +2% faster sacrifice/token, +3% slower totem blessing/cleansing or maybe even some cool effect like rekindle one totem at 5 token.

Something that's juicy enough that killers want to go for it and that outweighs the risk/hassle of chasing survivors all game long, while not being too strong.

Honestly, maybe a timed Points Combo; for 45 seconds after hooking a Survivor, the Killer earns more points in all 4 categories. This bonus gets another stack if he hooks another Survivor before it runs out.

  • Oh yes; let's take a tactic Devs have said is fine, and add 2 suggestions that were the worst ever made TOGETHER this time!

The Killer loses BP AND the Survivors get free hangtime AND they can get free at will! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

You know; never mind that the last time 'Survivor struggles slower on hook' was tried in the PTR; Survivors literally abused it to holy high hell in order to force Killers to give up free unhooks, or camp someone who cannot die while 1 Survivor did gens with infinite time.

The ideas, separate, were horrible then, and they are even worse put together now.

    No.

Hey! If we're calling for completely over-the-top punishments for accepted tactics; Can I demand Survivors get put in the Dying state and lose BP and depip if they work on a gen for too long without moving?

That's basically the same thing that OP is asking for; a completely busted punishment for Killers doing their goal (to kill) because they don't like HOW Killers are doing it.

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2726299#Comment_2726299

God, I wish. Snuff just returns the boon totem to a dull totem and it inevitably gets re-booned as soon as you leave the area. I've been petitioning for snuffing to break the totem since day one of boons.

Basically you can think of the totem states like this:

Dull: Default totem. Also the state of a boon totem that's been snuffed by a killer, and the twin of a Haunted Grounds totem that was triggered.

Hex: Killer brought a hex perk that corresponds to that totem; cleansing it either removes the hex or triggers the hex effect.

Boon: Hex or dull totem that's been blessed by a survivor perk, which applies to all survivors within its radius.

Broken: Hex or dull totem cleansed by a survivor.

Rekindled: Broken totem relit by a killer with Pentimento.

Erased from the match: Rekindled totem that's been cleansed.

    Oh are you kidding me?!

So Killers can't even use Penti unless Survivors Cleanse a totem? Which Survivors can avoid cleansing & just plop their Circle of OP over an already-in-use Hex totem?!

And when Killers Snuff it, it does not even becomes Cleansed, just Dull?!

Which means Penti is literally useless if Survivors never cleanse. And there's 0 point to Cleansing Dull Totems except the BP.

I swear, the devs really are trying every way possible to make playing Killer absolutely unbearable.

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2726282#Comment_2726282

They can't, but a rekindled totem is its own state of totem. It's not a dull totem; it's like a hex but with a red warpy effect around it. But you can only place a rekindled totem if the survivor cleanses the totem in the first place, so it doesn't really have an effect on booning because if you didn't have Pentimento, the cleansed totem would just be a broken totem and can't be booned anyway. Likewise, if survivors are booning everything instead of cleansing, you can't place Pentimento totems.

Part of me wants to try pairing Pentimento with a default outfit and Frosty Eyes to see if that'll finally get those rabid boon teams to do bones.

(Circle of OP... I like that. Pocketing that one, if you don't mind.)

But what about when a Survivor Boons and you Snuff? Is it not in the Cleansed state? Please tell me they did not make a SECOND, not-needed state for a Snuffed totem, which does nothing but render Penti useless against Boons. Please?

    (Feel free :) )

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2726272#Comment_2726272

Unfortunately, no. Pentimento still requires survivors to cleanse totems, and snuffing is still... basically useless. If you get a boon squad, Pentimento probably won't do anything (unless you pair it with ToTH), which is the core weakness of the perk.

If Pentimento let you curse a booned totem, I would never take it off any of my non-Plague killers ever again. If only...

I thought you said Survivors can't Bless a Rekindled totem?

That means they can't overwrite Penti totems with Circle Of OP, right? Because that would dodge Penti's side-effect of cleansing = no more totem.

As you can tell; I don't have Penti to try it, myself.

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2726254#Comment_2726254

Nah, that's outdated information. That was a thing in the PTB, but in the live release, there's no option to bless a rekindled totem anymore.

Oh, cool. So a Killer can Penti any totems they Snuff and eventually prevent Boons all together.

Granted; Killers don't have the time to do this in your average match, but it's at least a possibility.

  • Question; can survivors Bless Rekindled Totems? Because that would be dodging the end-effect of Penti and be yet more proof of how bad Boons are.

  • I still have no clue who at BHVR said 'You know what would be awesome and not at all immensely bad for the game? Giving Survivors stronger totem perks than Killers! And then letting them use them infinitely!'

Whatever alcohol they all drank to think this up, decide to put it in, and then actually do so; I want some. Must be good stuff! ๐Ÿ˜

I have to wonder why you're so worried though. Even if they're similar, surely Spirit won't change? Actual balance changes notwithstanding, I really don't see how Sadako could replace Spirit. They can and most likely will have their own thing. If anything, Sadako's the one that's got to prove herself.

I like this take. I mean, Billy and Bubba are different, and Billy was because they never thought they'd get the Bubba license.

Could be the same thing with Spirit and Ringu.

  • As much as I think DH needs altering; you can't just slap it on a Killer and say 'This proves it's OP'. Let me show you why:

I think Balanced Landing is OP! Imagine if a Killer could drop from a hill or building and get a speed-up effect! This just shows that Balanced Landing is OP!

    Or:

I think DStrike needs changing! Imagine if, when the Killer picked a Survivor up, he could hit a skillcheck and stun the Survivor for 5 seconds! No wriggling free for 5 seconds, or they would be locked in place if flashlight/pallet saved during this timer!

Flipping a perk between Killer or Survivor does not prove anything, since they play too different.

Perk 1: You can dash forward, but still be wounded if you are hit. So 0 I-frames.

    Can be used while Healthy.

    Can be used once.

Perk 2: You 'weave' left or right, with i-frames, but don't actually move. (Basically, you're dodging the attack like a boxer ducking or weaving). This can be done mid-run without cancelling the run. This gives you i-frames, but no extra distance. If the Killer hits you during your i-frames; he still goes on attack-cooldown.

Can only be used while injured.

    Can be used twice.

Boom, now you have 2 choices:

Do you want a perk that can get you to the next pallet/window/loop?

    Or

Do you want a perk that can net you avoidance from 1 attack?

if the killers slugging you on floor because you're the only decent survivor so he can get a 4 kill why should you be forced to sit there doing nothing for 4/5 minutes because the match making has put you with players that either don't attempt to save you or do it right infront of the killer ? it's backwards, i don't understand why the killer is allowed to be toxic and camp/slug/tunnell but if a survivor doesn't want to put up with that we're punished? lol

So the Killer is toxic for trying what he feels is the best way to win?

Does that mean I can call Survivors toxic for sitting on gens? I think it's really toxic that Survivors don't do anything except gens to win! Why don't they consider my fun and actually just hide for 5-10 minutes without touching a gen!? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

The developers should just make it so the # of Gens needed decreases if any Survivors D/C. Forcing people to stay is just going to make more people D/C which ends the entire experience anyway.

    Except this would be abused:

In a 2-3 man SWF? 2 gens left & 1 gen is at 90%? One of your friends DCs and now 1 gen is complete. Pop the 90% one in 3 seconds. No need to do another from 0%!

The Survivors don't need a mechanical REWARD to make the match easier when someone DCs.

What SHOULD happen is that the DCers earned BP is spread to everyone left in the match, Killer included.

1 DC: The 3 Survivors & 1 Killer get your BP divided amongst them.

2 DCs: The 2 Survivors & 1 Killer get that BP divided amongst them.

    Etc.

Same for if the Killer DCs; the 4 Survivors get his earned BP divided amongst them.

This way, even if Survivors now lose; they're getting more BP out of the match.

  • The Werewolf is not a single movie monster, so you need more info than 'movie Characteristics'. What they can do changes from writer to writer.

For example: The Dresden Files has 3 (possibly 4, depending on your point of view) kinds of werewolves.

Some very important things to note about the current stats of Anti-Cheat BHVR is currently using has some flaws in it that are severely hampering their efforts to deal with the cheating issue.

One of the most glaring problems is that the software does not have a log file on the match so the only way they can have any supporting evidence of cheating is when a player provides video evidence directly to them because the only logging that the Anti-Cheat is doing is in the pre and post game chat.

Actual gameplay logging would improve the cheating issue massively.

They also need to update it, I believe, more often, when cheats are found.

The anti-cheat can't detect what it's not updated to find in the first place.

Sadly, Easy Anti-Cheat is known colloquially as 'Easy To Cheat' in the various cheating forums.

buddy please check yourself and properly remove your killer main goggles, this forum is infested with killer mains doing the same thing.

I'm not trying to offend you but I find it silly when you're painting killer mains as some sort of tragic heroes trying to help bhvr balance the game when they can be just as bad as surv mains. again, you didn't specifically say this, but you kind of implied it.

Ah, so I 'kind of implied' something, and thus you're going to attack me for what I 'kind of implied' instead of what I actually said.

Basically, trying to shove my comments down an Us Vs Them path to attack them.

I never said Killer mains don't do the same thing. I was just pointing out how some Survivor mains jumped into this thread and tried to derail it with Us Vs Them rhetoric. Literally the first reply was trying to turn this into an Us vs Them argument instead of actually discuss the points being made.

survivor mains not allowed to give their opinions? only killer mains are allowed to ig. you admitted you mostly play killer so surely you can't fully understand their opinions.

You really love strawmaning and putting words in people mouth's huh?

All I said is Survivor mains try to turn everything into an Us Vs Them shouting match in order to bury any valid points a thread has, because they're scared of being properly balanced.

  • You can tell whom the Survivor Mains are; they jump into ANY thread, attempt to make it an Us vs Them, then attempt to shut the thread down.

They swarm any thread that does not say 'Survivors are perfect or need buffs, even!' and yell 'Killer main wants nerfs!' because they know Survivor is easy-mode and don't want that changed.

  • This would render pallet saves almost impossible.

  • You don't need to make 2 threads about camping.

Offense is only ever taken, never given. Sure I blame the toxic degenerate, but man, people are messed up and you can condition yourself to ignore their nonsense. It is genuinely possible and I highly recommend that approach. Why waste your time being offended by it, seriously, why? There is no compelling reason to take offense to their insults.

'Offense is only ever taken, never given'

This is such an ignorant comment.

I'm pretty sure it's not MY fault I turned suicidal after 6 years of being verbally abused by the person who wanted to help me sort my life, then got it in his head I was faking my autism, and told me I was a liar and a leech and should kill myself, because I was stealing form his social security retirement, on a daily basis.

But your viewpoint says that yes; it's my fault I let him affect my mental state.

Offense can be given. If I got offended the day someone screamed I should 'go back to Ireland' (I'm of Scottish descent, but was born in the US); it's 100% the racists fault for screaming it. Not mine for being offended.

Your view, that comment, absolves the toxic person, the racist, and the sexist, of their actions and words by blaming their target for reacting to those words.

I'm sorry, but after the hell I've been through, to see someone so much as HINT that it's my fault I have PTSD over 6 years of hell, is disgusting to the extreme.

    How ignorant.

they cheated in a game to have fun. you insulted them personally and were overall pretty bitter.

no wonder no one likes this community

You don't 'cheat to have fun' in an online or PvP game. That's BS, and possibly the worst excuse I've ever heard.

'Oh! I'm in the NFL! I did not cheat to WIN; I cheated to HAVE FUN! So it's fiiiiiiine!' ๐Ÿคฎ

Anyone who cheats in an online game or PvP-based game, is a pathetic scrublord looking to ruin everyone ELSE'S fun, and/or it's a sad cry for attention.

No one with a functioning brain defends cheaters.

Note; I made the distinction of 'online/PvP games'. Cheating in single-player games bothers no one, and can extend the life of the game.

But cheating in any PvP, or online game, is ruining the game for non-cheaters. Only the most pathetic scrubs do it.

  • I love Legion! It really makes me feel like my power is working (against me) when I FF 1 person, and by the time I FF #2; the first has already mended!

His power is almost like a...Scouting power? Sure, DW does not slow Survivors down, because their time lost Mending you lost hitting another person across the map, so it's neither a gain or loss of time.

But at least now you vaguely know where each Survivor is! So you can hit them with normal M1 & lose charge on your power for doing so! ๐Ÿ˜

Honestly; if you manage to Deep Wounds EVERYONE in 1 use; your next hit should Down whichever Survivor you hit (But not the one you JUST wounded as the 4th). And pull you out of FFrenzy, of course.

Because come on; how often will Legion have EVERYONE in Deep Wounds from ONE use, and then have time to hit someone again, before they've all Mended?

When are you guys going to accept that it's not hackers, you just got outplayed? Currently at over 300 hours on PC and never seen an obvious hacker. Certainly not this hackfest you claim.

I've seen a couple, and I don't play as much as I used too.

I've had Survivors literally nascar across the map after being Downed. I've had Survivors infinitely get off of being hooked; never hit stage 2. I've had Survivors insta-heal themselves and others non-stop.

Just because it does not happen to you does not mean it's not happening to others.

This is purely speculation, but I think slugging is only detested because it isn't prominent enough for survivors to feel like they can aptly prepare against it.

I say that to mean that if slugging became a popular tactic, survivors would feel validated for bringing No Mither, Tenacity, Flip Flop, Boil Over, Soul Guard, Unbreakable, Power Struggle, We're Gonna Live Forever, Buckle Up, & Boon: Exponential.

These are all great perks as is. But they're great against a situation you see once every one hundred games. It's not practical to bring this build, so people don't use these perks. But then that one hundredth game rolls around, and people get frustrated because they can't do anything about it. ...and they're justified for not being prepared.

But create a meta shift towards slugging, and now survivors can say "we have 10 perks that can reliably help us overcome this problem. bring it on."

Fair enough. I always just hear Survivors yell about the Big 3 No-No's: Camping, Tunneling, and Slugging.

So my design philosophy would be to make them as unneeded as possible. Since Survivors do not want to 'spend 2 minutes on the hook', 'be tunneled out in 3 minutes' or 'spend 4 minutes bleeding out'.

Plus, being able to stand up on their own would encourage perks that make crawling faster, reduce groans of pain, and make standing up easier. Which, in turn, encourages Killers to not slug, which means more possible flashlight or pallet saves, or bodyblocking to help a wriggle-out.
