Yes and no.
As others have said although DS is a very popular perk you do get games as survivor where there's no DS or any other obsession perk and the killer will often take full advantage of that.
On the other hand as killer I generally try not to tunnel but if someone runs at me after being unhooked and jumps into a locker or hits me with it after 59 seconds and I've already hooked someone else I have no issue with speeding up their removal from the game.

They don’t call it dead by daylight for no reason. Better recognize your place peasant survivor.

Yeah that's been a thing for a while now

It has a huge stun hitbox after they fixed/reworked/buffed it.
The counter could be when a head on gamer is in a locker the doors expand to reflect the hitbox making the locker a strange triangle shape that takes up half the killer shack
Edit: like so

Head On is weird.
- It gives the survivor invincibility for the entire time the Perk is activated.
- There's no counter to Head On if the killer couldn't make it to the survivor within those 3 seconds.
- The counter is either to wait 30 seconds for a Crow to appear, or do your best to down the survivor.
- It's not OVERpowered, but there is no counter to the unsuspecting killer.
There's also faking coming towards the locker to bait it out but I swear I get hit by head on when I'm on the other side of the map sometimes.

No one stated that the update is the "ruin of the game". You obviously cant comprehend criticism of how they did what they did.
How have you missed all the posts saying this patch specifically is going to kill the game? It's been the most overexcited people have got since the ruin nerf.

That cause it previously affected the exit gates only. Then somewhere along the updates it started affecting the speed of everything else. It was exploit that got abused just like legion infinite mending.
I understand but if they're going to nerf wake up they should've given it a different bonus in return, like being able to open the exit gates at the start of the game or something.
-
Having a totem 90% done and another survivor with the static/iridescent queen effect coming over to you is rage inducing, otherwise idc really.

They came for wake up cause it increase other things beside opening the gates.
Yup, and they nerfed it so now all it affects is gate opening speed. No idea what the devs were thinking with that one.

First they came for mettle of man, then wake up, then the DC tech. And now the god windows. Soon there will no fair or balanced gameplay left.

@Kellie said:
Its fine. In this upcoming patch, the use to be bare minimum (8 pallets) on the map is now gonna the normal, because the devs don't play their game and understand balance...
If there are things you don't agree with in the PTB then post it on that thread, also pallets aren't being reduced except on crotus penn so I don't know what complaints about something that isn't happening are supposed to achieve.
-
Not really but that won't stop a lot from trying. I've had a bubba revving his chainsaw in my face as I'm hooked -in the basement- -with kindred- and the other three all came down to 'help' and ended up in there too. Unless you like being facecamped don't reward the behaviour.
-
Sabo is better, it's hard to make it both useful to survivors (solo included) without it being overpowered. Hangman's trick isn't completely useless either although not really for its intended purpose because you have no idea if your survivors are going to use sabo at all, it mostly just gives you bonus info at survivors that are near hooks for whatever reason. Could use a slight range increase although not to ptb levels.
-
It's a completely brainless addon. I'm an extremely bad huntress but it's not hard to hit survivors if you don't throw until right behind them, as all users of this add-on do. You don't really see good huntresses use it. It's usually run with other stuff just to make it as miserable as possible for the other side, usually an ebony, as with old prayer beads. Even if you're willing to play against it as survivor you won't have much of a game because the others will suicide in hook, and unlike most other times I don't really blame them. Just give it a distance requirement or something to make it less cheap at least.

i believe they said that microsoft wont let them change achievements, so they cant "fix" it.
thats also the reason why killer adepts are so much harder to get than survivor adepts.
imo Nurse needs an add on rework - at least for her ultra rares. they are so bad they actally nerf her power...
btw, back in the day nurse used to have a 115% mms (4.6 m/s - Trapper speed) and 3 blinks basekit, so getting the achievement back then was no big deal. it just got harder and harder over time, up to where we are now: the hardest achievement ingame.
How long did nurse last for in her original form?
-
@OtakuBurrito I'm watching now and he specifically says he's quitting bc he's not interested in sweaty/boring matches on the ptb. He hasn't said much about map sizes/dead zones and complained that some windows are still too strong like ironworks/cowshed.
-
Puppets was hook suiciding mostly from getting hit from miles away from what I saw, not because of map changes.
-
One free aura perk for all solos, out of kindred/bond/empathy/aftercare/better together.
Please no urban evasion or self care base tho, there's few perks I hate more when soloing.
-
I would assume he was just trying to be annoying but I see more & more red rank survivors that don't understand basic game mechanics so maybe not.

Plague didn't give you broken status before
Yes she did, one yellow addon that a lot of plagues ran anyway became base, and that's the only change.

Out of morbid curiosity, what do you guys call them internally?
glory holes
-
Plus unlike messages we probably wouldn't be able to type with phones so just imagine someone writing out a very lengthy, very salty message with a controller that you don't even read. Wouldn't that be something?
-
I'd be for it, I'd keep it minimised + might stop having to keep messages and friend requests switched off if they're satisfied with just ranting into the abyss.

Lol the comments in here say it all. Killer mains with a victimhood mentality. Imagine thinking killers aren’t the power role right now. Guarantee nothing will change, after this there will still be calls for gen times to take longer, for loops to get nerfed harder.
I dont see many saying these changes arent justified for what its worth. They are. Its just that they’ve been trying to appease the loudest voices on the forum for a long time, surcicors have seen how much effort has been put into improving aspects of killers that arent fun recently and are now asking “what about us?”.
You call people whiners yet here you are trying to downplay survivors asking for improvements to the game which would make it more fun for them
Both sides whine a lot honestly. Sometimes with good reason.
-
I'm confused, do you see god windows as the only counter to bloodlust? How, and what do you do on maps that already don't have them?
-
Those survivors that spend the whole match by that window telling on themselves here.
-
Plague was the hardest I've done so far. I did doc's before the buff which was also a pain.
-
the best way of using them is taking a hit while bodyblocking the hook then dropping them straightaway. Got a few saves that way.
-
If someone DS's you once you've hooked a different person or if they run at you after being unhooked and jump in a locker, they can't really expect much else. Better make good use of those 5 seconds I guess.

Boring and badly optimised. Predator lacks information, I spent most of the match trying to find people. As fireteam I barely see the predator which already proves my point that the predator lacks information. It's like if killers didn't know where gens are. AI is ######### and fireteam objective is boring. A hard pass for me.
You have a cooldown ability which shows you where they are, between that and the heat vision I haven't had any trouble locating them.
-
I was happy that I killed the predator on my first try, gg ez baby predator etc (then I got caught in the self-destruct blast)
Fireteam seems to be stronger but that might be just because everyone's new to the game and it's the less complicated role to pick up.
-
No obsession perks on killer or survivor - no obsession
Killer has obsession perks and/or 1 or more survivors have DS - random(ish?) obsession
One survivor has non-DS obsession perk (MoM OoO etc)- they're the obsession
That's how it works afaik.
-
I would say the endgame perks. Noed, remember me, bloodwarden etc. Not that "second chance perks" are intrinsically bad, the difference is the killer versions are mostly a lot weaker and you don't see them as often, especially stacked together. Whereas a combo like DS/BT/DH/adrenaline is the norm.
-
There are loads of killer perks that are stronger, BBQ has loads of counters, it rewards the killer for doing their job and encourages hooking all survivors and not camping (even if it is a bubba perk).

Wait can you get reverse DS skillchecks with doc? That's pretty cool.

Her dash is not good. It is highly situational at best.
It can get hits on a lot of pallet loops that other killers can't get without just running around it or it forces the survivor to leave. Situational yes but not extremely.
-
All she needs is the rng of her traps toned down and her mostly useless addons reworked.
-her dash attack is situational but extremely useful at certain loops.
-forcing survivors' heads to explode by blocking boxes, crouching to stay not in a chase etc is a massive waste of time. It's much quicker to kill them normally.
I'd have them give back her 28 metre terror radius too. I know they want consistency with 115/32 and 110/24 but also nurse, huntress, myers
-
Killer is far too easy, they should just yeet this stupid baby mode from the game. Being able to finish 5 gens every match in peace, 4 escapes on average...(well maybe 3.5 escapes I'm sure some would still DC after failing a skillcheck or something) think of what a peaceful utopia it would be. No camping, no tunnelling, no slugging, no death. Just good vibes
-
I was happy with all the changes at first but I'd like to see the way snares are placed adjusted a bit, i.e. closer to how demo portals are placed + removed. My issue isn't how strong the snares are or their slowdown effect, it's just that using them can be pretty brainless.
-
Myers barely even works these days
-
Looks like OP was the diplomat we needed to finally unite the survivor + killer mains.
And thank you devs, it's appreciated.

BHVR won't let me ragequit even though we're in the middle of a pandemic and DCing after being downed once is the only joy I can find right now in this wretched world, this vale of tears 😭😭

Clearly it’s because they don’t want to reveal you. I’m guessing you hid so well that you didn’t know where you were, the killer couldn’t find you and the hatch despawned.
Yup, after which we all went to self-care in the basement before having a picnic in a bush.
-
I encountered a spirit with noed when I was doing my 2 protection hits with David challenge. The gate was open, I had a clear run at it, and she'd just picked up the last survivor but I still hadn't got that second protection hit...
