You're not supposed to cleanse totems, you're supposed to ignore them and then come onto the forums to complain about dying to noed. Git gud
-
Pretty sure the best triple-o build is still object with no mither and nothing else except maybe a medkit, sorry pal.
-
I run better together whenever I need cooperation stuff. Attracts other survivors to your gen like moths.

I'd like to say FPS good but I have a a regurgitative reaction to mistruthing

Bro... Exactly. That's why they should be utterly embarrassed. I'm over here rocking one boob Meg because it's my favorite outfit in this game. Jokes on me though, all the messages I get getting called a idiot for liking the outfit etc it's hilarious that people get upset about someone wearing a specific outfit. 😂
A pretty good boob so far? Maybe you unlock the other one on tier 70 on the next rift

Shroud doesn't work properly for killers. I've played a few games where the killer has used the shroud and I've still spawned with all the survivors.
Yeah the only times I bothered using it was on old Freddy with black box. And the obsession just got woken up by the survivor who spawned next to them. Pretty cool offering!

Wait what? Anyone got a pic I need to see this

I don't think wraith is too bad with decent perks and addons.

I used this for fun last season on trapper. Had no impact on my regular 3/4ks.
When you play killer do you flame yourself in the end game chat?

Are the people saying doc is OP actually saying that he's stronger and takes less effort than spirit, freddy etc? A lot of the doc posts don't seem to distinguish between being OP and being annoying either, I find Bubba's noises irritating as hell but that doesn't make him good.
-
Idk most of the spirits I run into are pretty bad and don't give me much trouble, even without iron will. That's partly matchmaking fails ofc. Also I'm just used to playing against her because at one point 9/10 matches featured her.
Also this "only viable killer" stuff is nonsense
-
One I've done a few times is snipe doc (range + beam add-ons) with no perks except haunted grounds and thrill of the hunt. Do nothing except protect totems, only chase, down and hook survivors that interfere with the totems and abandon the survivor (even dropping them on the floor while taking them to a hook) if a totem gets disturbed. It kinda relies on the totems being accessible to you, the best I got was thompson house where the three formed a perfect triangle in the corn, that resulted in a 2k with one DC somehow, all totems survived.
-
^^ what @toxicnancymain said, now even if you wait ages to get a lobby you get another killer quick so getting dodged doesn't bother me

Clearly this is the iconic killer/survivor combo

Same and same, except I also hate keys.

Hag: NOED, Thrill of the hunt, lightborn, Thanataphobia.
I just tunnel the first survivor I see and camp the hook for the rest game. Basement is my wet dream. I use NOED because you can't win against all these disgusting gen rushers so I punish them for playing the game with a perfectly fine and well-designed perk. This way I usually get another well deserved hook I can camp. Thrill makes sure I don't lose my NOED - you can't win without it. If it gets cleansed I just DC and report everybody. Lightborn because flashlights are ridiculously op and Thanataphobia because of the massive slowdown towards gen speeds.
Does every single post have to become an us V. them thing?
-
It changes a bit
Piggu - corrupt intervention, sloppy butcher, whispers, save the best for last
Shocky boi - whispers, thrilling tremors, surge, save the best for last
Stabby gang - discordance, ruin, I'm all ears, blood echo
Vom queen - corrupt intervention, ruin, infectious fright, play with your food
-
Yeah I like to make them fit the character too, i.e. when the mobile one came out I put it on GF. Be nice if you could delete/sell all the dull recolours they use to pad out the rift though. Or stop making them (Seriously, no one likes those)
-
Games where the killer is new or afk are boring yeah but I wouldn't worry about pipping so much, rank has never been more meaningless than it is right now, and they're basically deleting it soon anyway.
-
No debes desconectarte, el "gen rush" no es una razón válida porque los supervivientes solo hacen su objetivo aunque te parezca demasiado rápido. Si quitan su cable de ethernet porque los matas dudo que lo considerías justo, por qué al revés?
-
There is still a perk that ~kinda~ counters DS, unless they changed it too: unnerving presence. I've missed DS before because I forget it affects that skillcheck too + I wasn't prepared (also bc I'm boosted)
-
If you want to do it properly then focus on one surv (obv) refuse to hit anyone else unless they're physically blocking the path to your special friend, and don't let things like DS, BT, or not getting to kill anyone else get you down

THE DS TIMER DOES NOT ACTIVATE WHEN YOU ARE BEING TUNNELED
The gen and locker change would be reasonable, but if you have gens and lockers might as well go all the way and add unhook animations as well.
Could do. I don't even care about the gen part really either bc lunge, just lockers.
-
It's not the timer, you shouldn't have multiple survivors with it at once, and it should be deactivated when getting on a gen or in a locker. That's all it needs.
-
Okay DS isn't an anti-tunnel perk, confirmed by a dev himself, so fair enough.
But most of the defence of DS as it is was that it *is* an anti tunnel perk, that only killers who want to tunnel want it nerfed, and that all you need to avoid it is not tunnel.

In which rank do you play ? Not judging, not saying you are bad, neither you are good, it's a game after all and first goal is to have fun. I'm just curious as a child who see first time candies ^..^ Lol ive seen these monstrosities only on high ranks or when i started to play killer and i was paired vs red ranks. I did hooks but i was sweating like a "pig" and sbaam, ds punishment at the exit ^..^ (Interesting time looking back in time).
Usually purple or red. I used to only play killer for a bit each month to avoid red ranks which were kinda sweaty for me but now I get red survivors at any rank there's no point in stopping. I just play for fun too but still ranking up gradually despite playing stupid builds, memeing my way to the top with territorial imperative demogorgon 😅

Piggies want to see you perish. That's why they follow you around.. to see your beautiful dwight head explode ;)
Well yes I might've harassed a few survivors when I can tell from the beeping they don't have long left and I don't want them to get to a box. I usually focus on the untrapped ones though.

Pig and Hag are killers that definitely receive a lot of hate. Their kits encourage tunneling and each have their annoyances, Pig's trap RNG can be unforgiving for both sides and having to crouch around Hag's traps is generally regarded as boring.
Pig's power doesn't encourage tunnelling at all although a lot seem to focus on already trapped survivors for reasons mere mortals can never understand

I hope not @Pirscher In my opinion game will be less balanced.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1262100#Comment_1262100
I understand the feeling but if you took 3 ds at the exit it means you did 3 hook immediately before that. Nice goal but it means too that you didnt a lot of hooks in game ? I dont want to do the teacher, and i'm not doing that, but my statement sounds like correct. That said there can be funny situations like that but don't say it's the standard, it's not.
I didn't do that well in the game no, but a triple DS still suggests it's more powerful than just a tool to stop tunnelling. It's not really uncommon either, I've been on the other side too a lot of times as survivor only getting out the exit gates because of DS, only being able to save another survivor in endgame because we both have DS active and even if slugged we can both crawl out before the time expires.

Yes, there are some ridicolous situations. I was playing survivor. I take the hook, a mate unhook me, the killer tunnel me, i fall to the ground close a mate on the hook, the killer take DS, i unhook the mate, i escape safely.
This is clearly a situation, i dont call it abuse, with PROS and CONS. if you abuse, like i did, you are after that in an unhealty situation. Your risk, you have the choice in game and i've choosed to take risks. If saving failed, i got second hook and probably i was finishing the match after that.
The situation you described sounds like how DS is supposed to work, nothing wrong with that and the killer should have no reason to complain. But like I posted a while back when I hooked several survivors just before the last gen got done and got striked 3 times at the exit gate, when by definition I can't be tunnelling three people. That's more what I mean by ridiculous.

Nope. I'm not telling that. I never said that. I'm just saying that most of the people blaming DS and asking to remove DS are just Bad Killers. If you encounter DS it's because you are just a hardcore tunneler or you are unable to count 60 seconds, your choice.
Interestingly the pro-DS threads usually say either the same as you or that it's not an anti-tunnelling perk so it doesn't matter if it hits killers that aren't tunnelling.
I'm not completely anti-DS btw, it just can be a bit ridiculous in some situations.

To play devil's advocate here, the things you've listed are just general tips when playing against Huntress. They don't counter the added power of an iridescent head specifically.
I will say that I don't use them often so I don't have the best sample size here, but the few times I have used them, it's been a landslide victory.
did you make sure to "gg ez" afterwards?
-
It sucks for people who get unfairly punished, I know. Luckily I've only had it happen to me once. But it still had to happen. It had gotten to the point where there was a DC almost every match from one side or the other, the community didn't really leave the devs much choice.
-
Yeah I took a long killer break and now I'm rusty as hell, also mostly getting bad luck with survivors (i.e. groups where all of them know how to run tiles properly instead of only one or two, where are these people in my survivor games?) but I'm having fun. Getting into playing demo for some reason.

I didnt catch them reworking Billy's addons. Most of them are fine as they are. There are only 3-4 extremely strong addons in combination with each other(practically 0 stun and insta revs), the rest is pretty much fine as they are.
they're going to give him two ultra rares anyway for consistency, they do that with every new and reworked killer. Also they're definitely gonna nerf some of his charge time reduction ones.
-
Killer is instant, survivor is almost instant early in the day and gradually gets worse until it's not worth playing by evening.

You’re not meant to win all matches, and or get a 4K every time time. It’s ok to accept other players played better than you
True but like I'd rather make the best of a bad situation rather than give up if things are going south. If I was determined to get a 3k every match I could tunnel one out straightaway or bring moris but I'd rather not.
-
If a lot of gens have got done and there's still 4 survivors left I might, I feel like less of a dick as they've all had some chance to actually play the game rather than just being deleted asap.
Also locker DS

The second you picked up that Kate instead of going for the uninjured Meg already told me you played that VERY wrong.
Accept your losses, you could have ended with a 2k but you decided to pick Kate up knowing very well she was just unhooked.
The hag was me, I posted it here a while back.
Apart from the 3rd one I'd lost track of who I'd hooked recently, there was a few hooks in succession near the end. Can't win em all 😅
-
Unfortunately a lot of the time the killer will down and rehook me and sometimes just wait for the other survivor to unhook me again. I blame the other survivor more than the killer, who's being offered the chance to get a survivor dead early on with minimum effort but killers who join in with that can't really complain about DS, which I guess I'm stuck with using in solo instead of a more interesting perk.
-
You can do what you like. I usually let one go.
-
I was waiting for someone to describe the controller sensitivity increase as a survivor nerf, and I wasn't let down.
Also pls nerf the addons that give nurse 69 blinks, it's both OP and inappropriate
-
Balanced or not going against him is about as fun as getting a hot sauce enema. Fun to play as though.
-
The best thing is to try and relieve the pressure on yourself to do well every game. If you get 1 or 0 kills it's a shame but it also doesn't really matter, instead of letting frustration take over when a round is going down the toilet think where it went wrong and if there's anything you can learn from it for future games.
-
The blind has to happen after the animation has finished but before they have time to look away afaik. The only saves I get are like this so don't take that as gospel

I too would like to see a "advance" tutorial that unlocks after doing the regular one.
Maybe we should also have a DBD hotline that unlocks after the "advanced tutorial" that plays calming music to help with the rage people have once they start playing ^.^
In the advanced tutorial the bots could teabag and hit you on hook as a gentle introduction to your dbd future

Yep mate, except i have a friend who plays competitive dbd and is a doc main lmao. Guess he is wrong, after all and shocking is a waste of time. And no I don't do that at all,. I just try to go for unique plays and stuff like that because it's the only thing that barely works, cause looping against actual good doc players won't work for long. And I'm not complaining either,I'm just stating why I think the op finds him broken. His map pressure is garbage, but if you actually manage to get extremely good muscle memory with timing shocks, survs are ######### at many loops.
