No but for real unrelenting is a pretty decent noob perk, when I started as a killer and had no idea what I was doing and had no other perks it was nice enough. If you're worried about it becoming a crutch...it really doesn't, literally no one uses it once they have a few more perks and some experience.
-
What I'd recommend for demo and any other alt attack killer is (as long as you don't care about the outcome of the match, and just want to learn) just spam it. Try and shred at every possible opportunity, no matter how unlikely it is it'll work, and you get the feel for it much faster and what you can and can't pull off with it, as well as how survivors react. Also survivors often have little idea of how far away from you can/ hit with them with it because they probably don't see many demos so you can get them trying to dodge you just by opening your face even when out of range or hit them when they feel far enough away.
I'm learning him rn and I underestimated him for sure.

Going to stay 100% impartial here, but any effect of that change would be completely negated by Insidious, which also takes away your terror radius if you stand still at a rate of 8m/s. You still wouldn't be able to tell if she's phasing or just standing there with Insidious.
It would mean having to use a perk slot for such tricks though.

The perk would be far to easy to abuse if they kept it as it was on the PTB, the change was absolutely necessary for the health of the game. Movement speed is a core function of the game and altering it in any way has massive changes on how things play out, if I am being totally honest they shouldn't add any more "haste" perks into the game as it could very easily break things.
Two injured survivors being chased together, stopping every so often to tap each other to get the boost and presumably trying to loop the same area? I don't see that strategy working out well often. People brought up 110 killers but would you really want to try something like that on a huntress/spirit/slinger?
-
I wouldn't go so far as to say camping & tunnelling every match is the way to go but you do have a point about not going out of your way to make the game 'fun' for the survivors when that favour isn't going to be returned. I'd lmost always rather risk losing instead though, camping is almost as dull as being camped.

DS/unbreakable is, as I believe the youngsters call it, 'cringe'
If you add soul guard afterwards I don't really care, It's bad enough as it is.

Interesting how game rules are now a matter of personal opinion. "The devs say hacking legacy skins is bannable, however I respectfully disagree."

I can see you are mad and cant handle my opinion. Noice. You ignore facts that survivors make loud footstep noises, the grass make noise and killer perks can increase survivors breathing noise. Nope, you need to go through all details before you can win an argument. On top of noises, Killer can cut off locations by searching them right. If killer keep checking the ways out of a location or keep an eye on the ways out of a location survivor can be locked in that location. Locked survivor can be eventually found applying different unpredictable searching techniques.
You remind me of coward killers who turn their back and chase women and children when I pick male survivor. A typical killer. :^) Goodbye.

This is completely nonsensical, I enjoyed it thoroughly. 10/10

Yeah it's hard to see how it can get any worse than was it already is, so I'm optimistic
-
they're doing individual killer MMR which is good and which people requested - and which would obviously require a killer lock - and people are treating it like an arbitrary nerf because the devs have a burning hatred for killers 🤔
-
I'll miss being able to switch killers in lobby but it's a price worth paying for individual killer matching imo. Like I'd rather not have my best killers and my pathetic attempts at console nurse match against the same survivors if possible, especially as I usually only think playing nurse is a good idea if I've had a few drinks.
Full flashlight team if hag or wraith might be a dodge tho

I agree.
An idea I posted in another thread would be to have a limit of 10 minutes that the survivors can go without repairing a generator. After 10 minutes they will receive the penalty which could be something like having their aura shown to the killer and then receiving the exposed status. To stop the penalty from happening you have to repair a generator for at least 10%. Being found by the killer and entering a chase would also stop the penalty from occurring.
10 minutes is more than enough time as nobody should be going that long without trying to repair a generator.
Also when there's two survivors left it's usually the more useless one that gets out. One carries on repairing, one crouchwalks around the hatch or climbs in and out of lockers near it, and ofc the one repairing gets found first. It'd be nice if being a terrible teammate was rewarded with hatch less often.

This is why the killer should be able to open the gates at any time.
The issue with that is this situation would become more common when there's two survivors left, especially if they're swf, to try and make the killer frustrated enough to just open them so they can both get out. I think punishing survivors who ignore objectives for too long when there's two left would be better.

How is it their fault? You're telling me youd wilfully run in to do gens that are close together with a tombstone myers? The OP obviously did a poor job as killer especially when they had the upper hand like that and obviously didnt search good enough. The OP also didnt have any tracking perks (just as it is for survivors who have to use certain perks to counter tunneling, camping and slugging, etc.) I wouldnt pin this entirely on the survivors.
You're asking what I'd choose between probably getting insta-moried and crouching around bushes and rocks for over an hour, which I could then also be reported for? Lmao how is that even a difficult choice? I'm really not patient or petty enough for the latter, I'll get in another game.
-
@gdelgadoatw said:

And how is it the survivors fault if the game got taken hostage? the killer is tombstone myers and obviously didnt look around hard enough just kept patrolling 3 gens or afk'ing. Its AS MUCH AS THE OP FAULT as it is the survivors for the game getting taken hostage. So OP needs to stop acting like a victim in all this.
It actually is the survivors' fault for breaking the game's rules, yes. If I trap a survivor in a corner for the entire game from 5 gens until the end of EGC is that actually their fault for going there in the first place? I could put that down when appealing the ban, I'm sure that logic would be taken very seriously.
-
My favourite is dumb spirits that can't even do that properly and keep turning to look at you while standing still.
-
This situation is annoying as hell, also can happen to a lesser degree when there's two in a swf left and one has a key, usually also on swamp maps when they can't find it. Also two solos both hiding and waiting for the other to die. When there's two survivors left there should be a minimum amount of gen repair per survivor required if not in a chase, and any that don't do their share get the EGC kill.
-
Okay, let's assume the old stats are still the same as before and that there are no issues that can skew a game's statistics i.e. hook suicides. How are you going to bring the average kill rate down to 50%?
The most obvious solution is to increase the speed gens get done at. You could even add a mechanic where the entity lends a helping tentacle to survivor teams who are getting stomped and starts repairing gens and breaking totems for them.
Except things like that wouldn't be healthy for the game at all. And any attempt to make survivor easier and killer harder when it's (generally) agreed already that killer takes more effort than survivor isn't going to help the platforms/regions where killers are already a rare breed. If you want a survivor game then you might want to queue up after waking up so you can play after work. Honestly everyone, devs + players should ditch the arbitrary 50% target and focus on ways that might actually improve the experience for both sides. Like console optimisation maybe? That road to 60 FPS sure is a long one.
-
I wouldn't have slippery meat above 10%. I know that sounds really low but with breakout + swf I don't think it could be any more than that. I'd still use it at that level, just think of all the times the killer only just gets you to a hook in time
Mindbreaker I like the oblivious idea but the whole exhaustion + new status effect is too complicated imo. I'd make it more like after repairing a gen for more than 10 seconds you suffer from oblivious until that gen is completed, however long that is. Might be kinda insane, but it would def be interesting.
-
Great perk ideas, well thought out, balanced, and taking into consideration both sides of the playerbase. If I had one criticism it would be that they're a bit underpowered, maybe if the killer stays within 30 metres near the hook after 5 seconds you can mori them? And for anti-slugging a perk where you can't be put into the dying state, no matter how many times you get hit. They can't slug you then. As for DS, there's no reason it shouldn't also blind you for the rest of the match. After using ds Mathieu Cote will personally come to your home and apologise for you being tunnelled, before presenting you with a bouquet of auric cells.
-
I forgot it existed. I'd assume they're doing cross progression with that first because it's easier rather than actively prioritising it.
-
There's only one person who can truly answer your question. Someone who has studied the dark art of tunnelling for years, maybe even centuries. I hesitate to summon them, for their cruel judgement has caused even the most hardened killers to completely take leave of their senses. But although it pains me to say it, I feel it cannot be avoided.

I dunno how to change him without ruining him. I also enjoy going against him, don't struggle with the terror radius and almost never see him anyway so it's not something I've thought about much.
I think just as an accessibility thing more than anything else people should have the option of hearing terror radii as default, that could disadvantage you as well though (doc, mainly)

I’m from Manchester and I use the word mither. It means bother. So if somebody is annoying me when I need them to be quiet I’ll say “stop mithering me” - so it is a legit phrase from Manchester. It’s also pronounced MY-VER as I’m getting sick of streamers saying it wrong.
Also we use dead as a way to say really and hard can mean either tough or something is difficult. As I’ll sometimes say that something is “dead ‘ard” when I’m struggling to do it. It all just depends on the context. As it can mean different things.
Ah okay, thanks for clarifying. And forgive my londoner ignorance :P

Now this sounds like my kinda tea.
What I don't get is "no mither" - in the perk text they use "can't be mithered" to mean "can't be arsed" but I've never heard anyone say that whether they're from Manchester or not. Maybe they should've called it "no arse"
edit: actually no arse should be a pyramid head perk since they nerfed his

I mained old Freddy for quite a while, I think the only thing I really hated was just how mych common survivor perks screwed him over (self-care and adrenaline) both of which were even more popular than they are now. But I miss running double blocks and snatching a cocky survivor off a gen as they try to finish it in front of you, among other things.
-
My first game as wraith in ages featured 3 spine chills and one premonition...
I think some people got into spine chill and resilience doing the vault speed thing and realising these perks are still decent on their own.

I heard a console survivor describe the increased sensitivity as a survivor nerf so probably.

As a still inexperienced killer player I try to see it as a learning experience. Let them show me their tricks and eventually I'll figure out ways to deal with them. I'm not trying to win as much as not make stupid mistakes and learn to make the right choices. It's not always easy to stay calm but at least for me the less I care about keeping the match together, the better I play. I've been holding my own just fine against players of my skill level (not rank) but getting used to the advanced survivor tactics is taking time.
Played against this SWF group last night and they tried to grief me with their flashlights so hard. It turned into total chaos and I actually ended up having quite a bit of fun working on my flashlight evasion skills and catching them off guard. I'd like to think they got more than they bargained for. Most of all fun = win, no matter if the survivors escape or not.

I don't feel obliged to see the survivors off at the gates just because they're waiting there. Let them wait, the timer is running anyway. What I am currently getting annoyed by is when I get 2 survivors at the end who are good at chases and/or hiding but apparently repairing generators is below them. They refuse to even touch the remaining gens (I have Surveillance) and the match drags on for ages. I'd rather be genrushed and move on with my life.
That's a healthy attitude, you should go far as killer :)
-
I guess they'd have to, or just not let switch players join lobbies with Freddy in. Although idk how that would work with Quentin. A pc streamer got hacked into a switch lobby a while back as Freddy and it seemed like the survivors weren't actually able to see him.

But in all seriousness, Deathslinger is already a mid-low tier killer. Despite his inherent weaknesses, he's still likely to get hit with the nerf bat due to being uNfUn to survivor mains. Because, you know, getting a surprise attack isn't fair, or something. Killer fun isn't relevant to the devs. They'll probably give him something outrageous and stupid like a huntress song so no one can play to his strengths.
He'll start humming cotton eye joe within 40m
-
I'm just starting to play him more often and am having a good time. Survivors aren't that aware of the distance he can lunge at either bc no one plays him. Also his best addons are brown ones, some others sound ok but once you check the actual numbers not so much. "Moderately increases undetectable duration" - i.e. by one second

People who run object and whine about being tunnelled baffle me. "Yes I want to show my aura to the killer. I also would like to be left alone. Any further questions?"

Not all killers are like that, I'm nice enough and I wouldn't call anyone a #########, possibly because I'm a ######### myself. Some might use you being in a swf as an excuse but it really isn't.
