People have wanted Deliverance to work when you are the last person to be hooked for ages but none of the people suggesting it seem to realise just how pointless it'd be. You're the last on the hook, the killer has no incentive to leave so you'll just unhook yourself and be downed immediately. It'd be very rare that you can somehow pull an escape in this situation.
+ds +unbreakable + sould guard = profit

I main Freddy because he's got great map pressure as well as great anti loop mechanics. Although I am possibly considering a new main. It was Legion before put his current add ons suck for the most part.
For survivor I'd say Laurie because of DS but I don't play that much survivor to be honest...
How about you all ?
legion (Susie) and Nancy because I love their designs

I just decided to rework the demogorgon add-ons to match his new abilities and just improve the bad ones!

I remember a lot of people were against candyman and viewed him as bland, he is pretty cool in my opinion and he could be the first killer to speak in English when stunned or during his mori.
He is not scary at all, so I definitely won't be happy with him

Im a fan of this, but theres a few changes id make. First, the 10 seconds to get someone out of the bush seems too high to me, especially if they only get 30 seconds in the upside down in total. I think the short unhook time that was used to hooks and cages should stay the same as its a huge deterrance already for rescuing teammates when you need to go into the upside down to get them out. Secondly, id say around a minute in the upside down sounds fair, but if they stay over that, instead of immediately putting them in a bush, return them to the overworld in the injured state, and if they are already injured then give them the deep wound state or the broken state. If theres an automatic way of getting a survivor hooked/bushed then the game could technically be won after hooking/bushing one survivor without even hitting the rest of them. Other than that, despite being a survivor main, I would love to see this implemented. Demogorgon is one of the easiers killers to counter right now and it does not do the demogorgon from the show justice. This could also create loads of new opportunities for the devs when they make new killers, with the idea of a new dimention being possible.
Maybe the punishment in the form of the fact that the survivor is automatically put in a bush and sounds too strong, but I wanted to give the survivors fear and tension, being in the upside down, and yes, I probably gave too little time to get out of there, I would probably change these things in my post: increase the time spent in the upside down up to a minute, as you said, but would have made it so that the rescue of the survivor from the second stage took ~8 seconds and at least 3 skill checks in this period, and would also add addons that could slightly reduce the speed of saving survivors, so that the killer just had a little more time to do things.
Anyway, thanks for feedback!

How it is rude? I play CSGO, LoL and even RL that has penalties for disconnecting / leaving. Why should DbD cater the weak who can't play for 10 mins or less of a game they don't like? You can always go in a corner and cry while you are are afk. You do not need to DC.
I see that you play csgo :)

I’ve always wished they would do something like this. My disappointment when The Upside Down in DBD was just all black with a red light was off the charts.
To add to this concept, how about when you’re in The Upside Down, this music plays: https://youtu.be/vqffY-6OVKc (At 2 minutes and 30 seconds)
I think it would do a lot for the overall atmosphere of being in it.
It would be so cool!

Yeah demoboy isn't the strongest killer at base. Rat Liver feels like a must, and early dropping pallets renders his shred somewhat useless compared to other chase shutters which tend to completely ignore pallets. and obviously you need to use a snowball perk like save the best for the last, Otherwise for the most part you'll be capitalizing on survivor mistakes.
I think he needs some love and the upside down idea really got my attention, I think a really simpler way though is just for him to place a portal then like drop the survivor in it.
If the demo had an Upside Down then I would like to play against demo always.
Maybe you are right about putting the survivor into the portal, but then, playing as the killer, you will not be able to see the upside down, which will be sad.

I started playing a couple years ago and loved it, but once I got to rank 1 I stopped cause it got too "sweaty". I came back every now and then to play for a bit, but just recently have started playing it frequently and still notice that the high ranks are too competitive.
Do others feel this way? I am not too wound up in the community but I am still curious
Community itself is killing this game, because the developers still listen to the opinion of their community and everything only gets worse. this applies to both survivors and killers.

Forcing us to rely on teammates to do a goddamn challenge for us is absolutely ridiculous.
Just had a match where in the pregame I said what challenge I was doing, asked them to leave me on hook if I'm hooked in the end game. What do I get? 3 ######### crouch in a circle around the shack while I'm camped in the basement until I die then leave, and write in the post-game "lol like we care what you say."
This is categorically not a challenge that you can possibly obtain by your own merit, it is entirely based on other peoples decisions and it SUCKS.
I don't understand what you mean, your goal is to be the last to escape and it's very simple. I also don’t understand why you told other people about this, this should not be done in this game. I would just wait for everyone to escape and then run away on my own, it's simple. I did it on the first try.

Yo topic says all.
In my opinion or what ive seen the last weeks is: That Genrushs or flashlightclicking, hookrushers, disrespectful survivors and stuff like that pretty are standards now on this game. Specially if you play on red ranks. Dead by Daylight is not the same like 2016 anymore. What do you think about that ?
Corrupt Intervention ? PGTW ? Noed ? Sloppy ? Thanat ? Survivors on theese ranks ignoring all that. In my opinion 80% of all survivors are to lazy to do Totems too. Killer is comming ? Most of them don´t care cause they not afraid anymore. They still sit on that gen. Important is to finish them as fast as they can.....
( What i want to say is that im tired of 5-6 minute games )
About Matchmaking ? EXAMPLE: I think theres a diffrent between Rank 1 Survivors with an 3000 MMR and Rank 1 Survivor with an 2000 MMR.
So Ranks have nothing to do with skill. It shows only how often you play.
Every day i see treads here with. Campers, tunnelers, Genrushers, Noed users, toxic there and toxic there. I think it´s time to accept it because we have no other choice. Thats DBD now ... sad
The saddest thing is that all this can be overcome, but for some reason the developers are in no hurry, although this would make the game better ...

That's really toxic. GG.
In all seriousness, having a perk that allows hooked Survivors stun Killers within range would be an interesting one. And it may reduce camping Killers. Though knowing this community, it'd be used by toxic people.

Soon Killer mains will come here and they will infringe on you in that: nOoO, this game is completely on the side of the survivors, the swf's are too strong, etc. just for your words about the balance of the game on the side of the killers, check.
I also believe that killers should be made in such a way that people LEARN to play as them and increase their skill, and not what we have now. Right now perks or add-ons can turn a killer to a killing machine and only a few killers really need your skill to unleash their potential, which is sad.

huntress? I mean she can have like 7 hatchets and wind them up quicker and reload faster at locker with iron maiden. Spirit because we all know the spirit mindgame and with the mother daughter ring and the other addon she can move billy speed and longer. Deathslinger? Freddy because of forever freddy despite it being nerfed? Or is legion gonna get nerf number 985? Doctor over here always knows where you are and can get a giant tr and prevent you from throwing down pallets.
I hope huntress

Unbreakable is quite a powerful perk in the game & can literally be the sole reason the outcome of a match changes. It is the perfect counter to slugging, which has become a common tactic for killers as it is a means of buying time for themselves (due to gen speeds). Unbreakable is quite nasty when combined with perks such as Decisive Strike, Flip Flop, Soul Guard, & Tenacity. It's arguably the best second chance perk, & is quite common in the meta. It even grants the survivor a speed boost in recovery while in the dying state that never goes away. There is zero downside to running this perk, but it technically can never be used if the killer does not slug. But that's why it is often paired with DS, as the killer either has to take the DS stun after unhooking the survivor or let them heal themselves off the ground.
Now a perk that is quite similar to this would be Deliverance, as it allows you to do something on your own without having to rely on a teammate to save you. But Deliverance is significantly less powerful than Unbreakable, while still being a strong perk. Why is that? Well first off, it has a requirement of making one safe rescue before being hooked. So if a survivor who has this perk is downed & hooked before they can make a safe save, the perk never activates. Secondly, the perk has a downside of making the survivor broken for a period of time after unhooking themselves. I would argue that this perk is very balanced, as there is a nice give & take to running the perk. Unbreakable on the other hand is not, as there is no take.
My solution: give Unbreakable a requirement and/or penalty. For a requirement, it could be something as simple as taking a protection hit for a survivor or making a safe unhook, or even completing the equivalent of 1 gen. Something that is able to be done in most cases, but still requires something of the survivor. As for penalty, it could also be the broken status effect for a brief moment, but I feel there can be more creativity behind this. Maybe the survivor suffers from the Oblivious status effect for a short duration or their aura gets revealed to the killer for a few seconds. Something to at least make it have some sort of downside for just how powerful the perk can be.
It already has - one time use

@PNgamer said:
Don´t get me wrong, i know the devs had some problems.
But for the love of god, fix it finally and bring the Penaltysystem back.
Mainreason: player´s can´t take their loss.... Point
If they bring it back, then people will simply commit suicides on hooks and will gain incorrect bans for game errors or due to loss of connection / blackout etc.

The game should also reward survivors for working as a team. Right now, if you die because your teammates failed to cleansed totems and you got hit by NOED, even though you cleansed 3 or 4, it feels awful, because you miss out on 5k points that the rest of your team is actually getting. I think survivors should be rewarded for every teammate that escapes. An incentive to view their role as a TEAM EFFORT rather than each survivor by themselves.
Survivor objective should also be a tad more demanding. Doesn't have to be something that requires a genius to do, but their current objective pretty much requires all of two braincells, one for holding M1, the other for pressing space every now and then, and that's just boring to them, and at least for me, when i play killer it doesn't feel like ive been outplayed in any way. Chases are literally the only thing that is demanding on the survivor side.
yes.

So I thought about something earlier today while playing DBD as survivor, and well, I remember my time as a newbie. My first few hours of the game and let me tell you. It was the most fun few hours of my life.
I remember it specifically. I was playing David and we were on the farm (back when it had the god loop) I think this was around before legion? So spirit? I can't quite remember what chapter.
Anyway. I was in the actual farm itself and I saw someone get hooked. I got frickin scared and ran away. Trapper saw my scratch marks and followed me. I can just remember those first moments of tension and being legit scared. No pallets just me running for my life. He downs me and I get hooked and then the rest gets very hazy. But that was 2 years ago.
What was your first experience like?
my first experience was awesome, and I'm so sad that i can't clear all moments of the game in my memory and feel those emotions again.

I'm not advocating for this, I just want to know what people would think if he did get in. I personally think it could be cool.
To start, cosmetics.
His base look would be this:
He would have two skins: Skin1
I gave him some hypothetical perks:
Concealed Carry: Every Item you hold will be invisible to the killer. You can use it 1/2/3 times without it being revealed "I'll tell you what you get, you get what you ######### deserve!"
Even Really Existed: Upon being injured all noise and scratch marks will be reduced by 15/25/50% "If it was me dying on the sidewalk you'd walk right over me!"
Sick Mind: You begin to expect the worst. The killer will not receive noise notifications from you if you are 48/32/24 meters away, it goes on cooldown for 45 seconds at a time. "All I have are negative thoughts"
What do you guys think?
Edit: Even Really Existed was basically just distortion
:/
-
They are not rewarded, but they are simply given a second chance, which hurts the survivors very much. Devs nerfed hex: ruin for the fact that the killer did not have to do anything and hex did a killer's job, but they didn’t nerf noed for the same reason, strange.

it's great

yes, please! Demogorgon should’ve been the one to have custom hooks, not just Pyramid Head!
The Upside Down plays such an important part of the show, The Demogorgon is just a mere pawn in the mystery of the other side. So it seems crazy to me that it’s just been boiled down to a method of getting from point A to point B faster instead of being recognised for how important it is!
Licensed killers usually have the more intricate/interesting kits, Demogorgon should be cool too!

Nothing new and nothing to see here, move along 😛
But seriously... Not a hate-post, I'm just a bit annoyed. Usually I don't have a lot of moris in a row, but after the rank reset and the event I come across it almost in every match. I mean I know that people collected a lot of moris during the event and didn't use it, and now they throw it like a confetti 😅Still, it's more than my poor heart can take 💔Maybe I'll switch to killer for some time🤔
Btw, could somebody tell me, please, the killer of which rank throws a mori more often? Green, red, yellow? Or it doesn't matter? I don't look at ranks at the end of the match for the most part. I'm talking about situations where there are no SWF, or keys, of toxic outfits, etc.
🍀
The fact that the killers began to take mori more often means that there will be more dissatisfied who will write posts about the removal of mori and if there are a lot of posts the developers will see them and perhaps finally delete / balance them, everything turns out right :)

There's vivid discussions about new game modes that, imho, could all work well in dbd. So, which of these ideas (I'll link back to the threads if there's one on here later) would you really love to see:
- Murder Mystery (link)
- 2 vs 8
- games where the gens are not the main objective (like having to get all totems first before you can do gens e.g.)
2v8 would be just a mess, but new objective sounds kinda interesting
