I suggest you to read better, it helps understanding simple phrases and also help you to avoid using emotes in a passive aggressive way without any proper reason
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/U93ZTSXX3III/image.png
In case it was too difficult to spot the point i can help you brother
First, lets not escalate this into a forum war. I was just poking some fun at you (true), I think that I was rather upfront with that and didn't try to hide anything with being passively aggressive.
Second, though, your statement is ambiguous enough that it allows both readings, yours and mine. But lets leave it at that and just have some fun in our next trials. Enjoy your double XP weekend <3 (that heart is unironical, btw <3) ((the second one might not be)).

I was just trying to pull your leg a bit, but now I feel terrible :V You should definitely get a good night of sleep. And Clown is just hillarious to play, all that mirthless laughing and huffing and puffing. But Clown usually gets totally destroyed by competent groups. He benefits a lot from Disolution, though! so keep an eye out for that one as nothing is more satisfying then seeing those pallets disintegrating into splinters right before your eyes (you gotta squint, though, in order to see anything through the purple haze).

I see ... this convinced me to make tonight a clown night in the circus of pain. C ya! (hopefully :>)

Because he feels awful to play as and against, YES i said against too, i was used to good billies flicking pretty much 24/7 and providing a really entertaining gameplay, now billy players are trying to show off skills that are not there anymore and after smashing their head 20 times on a wall trying to get some swag flick they all end up m1ing and facecamping someone at 5 gens done.
It's a really pityful experience because they end up playing a bubba from wish version.
Honestly they should swap billy and blight collision so that playing billy doesn't feel as a pathetic experience anymore.
PS i hate lopro chains, its not op, its not broken its just a badly designed addon that makes billy players play bad. Devs should lower the debuff charge time from engravings addons and bring back the overheat that there was shortly after the release. Or maybe make it so overheat builds up 3x times faster near a hook
Just saying: if you are still at 5 gens after a Billy hit the wall 20 times with a chainsaw charge, then you suck at the game :)

So one person killed themselves on hook because they got facecamped, the other two dc'd and the killer still has the nerve to bm me on hook like they achieved anything on their own. And thats what i bring flan for :)
Dear killer mains. Why?! And i know that everybodys gonna say stuff like "i always give last surv hatch". Well most killers decide to be bm'ing bullies. You cant tell me a lame ass playstyle like that is worth 19k BP and you actually think youre in a position to act like you outplayed anyone?!
I am sorry for that match, but what else should I, for example, as a killer main say? "They did it because playing killer has become such a chore lately." won't cut it, but I wouldn't play like this either. Unless the survivors are pretty toxic I wouldn't ever waste my time hitting them on the hook, and two DCs midgame are pretty much a deathnail. After that you can pretty much just meme around a bit with the last survivor and maybe allow them to finish the last gens if they still need the "Left 4 Dead" achievment, or just jump into a hatch.
As a matter of fact I often give the last survivor the hatch (unless they somehow tilted me in a mean way), just to not raise my MMR too far too fast. I had my fair share of sweaty matches when I started the game, but I burned out after playing the DBD world championship finals every single game. MMR is a strange beast indeed, but I am digressing.
Circling back to your original post, I must be doing something wrong. I get lots of games were I am stuck with 12k or something, because the survivors just run circles around me and are uncatchable. At the very least nearly every flan will pay for itself, as they were just 3k a pop, but I get what you mean.

It still rewards failure. With the increase in gen times, it was indirectly buffed in a bad way. Campers can use Deadlock, No Way Out, NOED for guaranteed wins.
So does DH, even after the nerf. If this blatant favorism doesn't convince you how survivor sided the devs are, nothing will.
After much talking and jabbering and promises DH was "nerfed" without nerfing it in any consequential way. It still got und same issues and still got the same problems, ie massively rewarding bad play on the survivors side.
Do a bad decision, do a bad play, get hit BAM! Power up and get rewarded for failing.
After this the killer is at the survivors mercy if they got more then 3 brain cells and are essentially immortal. The new DH is actually even better and more intuitive to use if you ever played a souls like in your life. Parry is second nature to most of us, and a 0.5s parry window is so blatantly OP that I don't know were to start explaining this. 2 frames of invulnerability are more then fair, anything more and it becomes literally brain dead. But yeah, survivor mains just need to moan a little bit and jangle their wallet and BHVR will bend over backwards just to make their every wish come true.
How anyone can unironcally sat that this update is killer sided is way beyond me and maybe this people should get themselves checked, because they show a severe lack of perceiving reality.

The sad reality is that if you play nice (by the "rulebook"), you won't get good results as often, and you'll get mocked for not being good.
If you play to win, you'll get chastised for being toxic, because as a killer you're not allowed to win unless you handicap yourself first.
Personally, I turned off my chat/messaging functionality, play in a way that I am comfortable with (which is usually laid back and generally considerate, but sometimes sweaty; I usually just reciprocate the energy I get in game), and don't worry about the rest.
I recommend it.
I had this fun exchange in one of my last games.
Me: gg
Survivor: no gg for you, you tunneled and slugged. Please stop slugging.
Me: Ok, I'll stop slugging if you stop using DH. Is it a deal?
Survivor: *some mad ravings about how it got nerfed and killers get always what they want*

They shouldn't take it easy on you.
This is the only pvp game i've played where the most effective tactics avaiable, that have been in the game since release, approved by devs and not bugs are considered toxic and people even go out of their way to shame players who use them.
Yes I get it,its not fun dying 5 minutes into the game, yeah getting camped is uninteractive but these strategies are what killers need to resort to if they want to find consistent success against good players.(good luck 12 hooking when 2 gens pop after your first down)
When people queue up to play killer, they dont do so to be the plaything of 4 randoms, they want to have fun and win.
To me its mindboggling that after all these years tunneling, camping, slugging are still seen as toxic actions employed by the killer and not simply bad game design.
Making the game a 1 v 3 asap is common sense, why arent killers rewarded for unique hooks?
The counter to camping requires slamming gens and limiting player interaction, against certain killers you may even need to leave someone behind.
I dont know how popular this opinion is but slugging is healthy for the game and i'll die on this hill.
If you find these strategies unfun demand changes to the devs, dont blame the killers for not taking it easy on you
Yet when I farm with survivors because I want to get a certain tome challenge done I get nice "+rep cute killer" messages on my profile, but when I just dare to return to a hook because I saw some movement in the bushes its "-reo toxic tunn trash". Once you understand this simple fact its much easier to embrace the salt.
Still, tunneling is quite scummy, so try to keep it to a minimum. I sometimes tunnel an unhooked survivor hard when I'm going for just 8 hooks, zero kills just to scare them and hide my true intentions, though.

They didn't just nerf it, they ruined the Iron Will perk completely with the new update. What's the point of using it if it's only 75% instead of 100% max rank. The whole point of it is to be able to keep the killer from hearing u make noises while injured. Making it one of the best perks in the whole game and anyone who says it wasn't is crazy. But after the update there will be no point at all in using it cause it won't work the way it is suppose to.
As a killer you lose fully loud survivors all the time, because your own sounds and chase music is blasting in your ears.
100% sound reduction was pretty unfair, 75% is still good enough, but at least gives the killer a fighting chance.
And now its a meaningful choice: to I stay and immerse or use my exhaustion perk and zoom off, but not "zoom ofc and then immerse".

Monitor and Lethal are two perks that could combo well. Lets you know where they are immediately to get their power and give survivors less time to react to your presence. The game starts flowing once he gets his power so taking two perk slots to ease the beginning isn't so bad. I've noticed that once you start gaining hooks, Plaything helps you sneak up on survivors with your power even more.
"The game starts flowing once you get your power..."... I don't know :v I am obviously not the best Oni player, but when I get my power, the survivors either immerse themselves or run their loops so tight that I can't catch up or just hit trees and rocks. Git gud, I guess ^^
For real though, when Oni gets a run, he really gets it running in the most brutal way. But I stumble over his power so often and just waste it. Always feels like such a shame.

A big part about Dead Hard that makes it so unfun is simply that you have to wait every time you want to down a survivor
The best part of every chase is the moment when you finally catch up to your prey, savoring the second before you strike... and then another... and then they DH to safety and smack a pallet in your face. That's some quality killer moment right there.

I am happy for ya :>
I wish I could say the same about my one true love Pyramid Head, though, buuuut he is cool enough, even though 85% of his add-ons are solid "meh" territory.
-
A lot survivors got way, way better at this game and looping, then the game ever accounted for. There is always this survivor that you somehow end up chasing that runs each and every loop absolutely perfect and that are nearly impossible to catch up to. And they can greed each and every palette to the absolute max. like they are the rarest of resource, even though there are still 20+ others lying around.
This totally turns the concept of "palettes are the survivors ammunition. They must expend them early-mid game in order to stay alive, turning most parts of the map into dead zones for the end game" totally on its head and might easily result in games of 1-2 hooks, 0k.
I don't know how to tackle this problem, though. I for example can't run the killer this way, when I play survivor. Sometimes I am decent and can run them for 1-2 gens, but I'll expend a lot of palettes on the way.
Maybe pallet generation and spawns should be a dynamic process that's tied to your previous games performance, ie the soloQ dude who dies 60/40% of the time adds more pallets to the pool then the 3 SWF who got a 85% escape rate.

Not just modeled.
The entire chapter is based on the remake movie, quentin is not a character in the original film. They can't go back on that.
It's possible we get a classic freddy outfit in the future with a green and red sweater.
But to OP :
Remake freddy does not have a green and red sweater, it's black and red in that film. And im not sure what you mean by resemble Jackie more.
Thanks for clearing that up. I am on a casual non-binge 80s horror movie rewatch and already got Freddy 1-3, Hellraiser 1+2, Halloween 1+2 and Texas Chainsaw 1 + '22 remake under my belt.

Because people are like that:
They nerfed her, nerfs are bad, she is garbage now. But she was still top tier killer all time.
For real though, while still being strong, after all the reworks survivors got more info on what she was doing then the other way around, thanks to the whooshing sound effect on her side and survivors adopting the stand still trick in lieu with IW on their side. If you were experienced with her you might notice moving gras or some other cues, but for me it always felt like and uphill battle, trying to learn her and git gud.
I always proposed that IW should just not work against her in her spirit mode, but that always got shot down for some reason.
I am eager to try her again after the update as I like her idea and kit, but survivors were always running circles around me (for the most part).

What's wrong with Freddy's model? It looks perfect to me.
Afaik Freddy in dbd is modeled after the reworked Nightmare on Elm Street movie, not the classic Robert Englund 80s Freddy and people obviously would be more happy with the latter for nostalgia reasons.
I am fine with the way he looks and would just love if they did a full powet rework, again, and make him more interesting, fun and effective to play.

Seriously, that flower is my favorite thing.
I thought about doing it with the glyphs, but I felt like other players were less likely to notice them, since they only reveal themselves when you're close by. Gotta salute your dedication, though. May you confuse many generations of DBD newbies to come.
OMG that so adorable :D And thats the reason why I will never complete book 5.
On a side note, I got 7 (8) books fully completed and got 14 killer challenges left, plus about 5 or 6 challenges that can be done for both sides. After that I am finally free to play any way I want as the killer, but I got quite some survivor challenges left.
Some of the killer challenges that were somewhat tought was the Plague "hit two survivors with one red vomit twice in one trial" and the Trickster "down two survivors with Main event" (I only noticed later that you don't have to down two with one Main event :P). And the one about getting 2 grabs in one trial. There were a few that were oddly specific, but eventually not that tough, like damaging the same gen 4 times or catching a survivor in a reset trap.
On the survivors end there was the mad challenge of repairing 4 gens with Dark Sense equipped (ugh) and Aces Journey 2 was surprisingly tough! "Complete repairing 2 gens, cleanse 2 totems, savely unhook 2 survivors" .. Getting 4 of the 6 done was pretty easy, but you really need a bit of luck and awareness. You can't be the one getting chased, you need to do your gens but also keep an eye on downed survivors so that you can hook them ... and between all this you need to cleanse a few totems. Often the team was too good and no one get hooked, at other times I got everything done, but then the killer ferreted my out as I was cleansing. But eventually I got a match were just everything worked out. There was also a challenge were you had to complete repairing two gens in one trial in the killers terror radius that a lot of people had problems with, but that was done first try for me. I used "Stake Out" as my terror radius detector and just kept my gens at 99%. Worked like a charm.
All in all Book 1 has some surprisingly hard challenges, maybe because it was the first and they had to figure out what worked and what not? I like most of the challenges as they spice things up and you are encouraged to try or play differently, but I mostly dislike the grindy challenges ("kick gens/destroy pallets 50 times" ... ugh) and here I hate the "collect 15 iri emblems" most, as this is often outside of your control. But eh, in the end you will finish all the grindy challenges.

On a related note, why do survs who are getting wrecked sometimes still click at you like they have the upper hand and want you chase them?
I get it if they are really good, confident, and running you ragged (which happens to me a fair bit), and much of the time they'll stop when/if they start losing.
But I'll often get them doing it when half their team is dead, they're on death hook and every chase with them has lasted like 10 seconds. Is it delusion? Commitment to the bit? Muscle memory they can't turn off?
They are living the dream of every shonen anime/mango boi who doesn't stand down and never gives up, no matter the odds. Well, until a weill placed hit bursts their dream like a bubble.

I plan on completely abusing the camping and tunneling buff though. That buff is just to juicy to not abuse. I think I'll be able to get around a 3.5 to 4 kill rate just abusing the camping and tunneling buff.
Lol. I first thought that this was trolling/satire, but I read a few of your other comments. Dude, if you are really diving in as a killer main now, I welcome you. As you will start out with low MMR, yeah, you will 3-4k a lot of matches, but make no mistake, once you raise high enough your devious plan of "easy 3K via camping and tunneling" won't work as perfect as you might imagine. But the 10% killer buff will definitely make the experience much more fun for you then it would have been in the past, so knock yourself out with the killer role.
Playing killer can be a lot of fun, and the game is finally taking steps in the right direction and making killer playable again. It wasn`t unplayable before, but it often felt like chewing on nails or something, so I am looking forward to next Tuesday very much. If you need any help just knock us up, we killer mains are quite the helpful bunch, and we don`t even get points for being altruistic :)

I still think that solo queue being dead is definitely an exaggeration, but I do agree that quite the amount of solo survivor players, and probably even some swf survivors, will take a break from the game. My guess is honestly 20 minutes, at least after a few days or a week or two.
if killer ques during the day (about 5min right now) will be 20min, I will eat my words and shorts on top. They might get a lil bit longer during daytimes, as more people try killer out, but not a lot of those survivor mains will be cut for the constant stress of the killer role and soon enough they will join the swf crowd in the evening, giving me again 20s ques max.

Wow why didn't I think of that just double back every second blink. It's not like the nurse player can adjust how far they blink or something crazy like that. I'll never get hit again from a nurse thank you for that.
Backing down like this usually works 1-2 times against a nurse, then they will adapt. And thats when the real fun begins and you turn every blink into a mindgame: if you don't know yourself how you will react this time its a 50/50 plus some change and I actually enjoy that a lot.

Why does everyone always list these two when Overcome exists?
Sprint Burst is trash. There, I said it. In order to get any use out of it, you have to tiptoe around the match the entire game, and the time you do that isn't spent doing gens. You're handing the killer a win every time you run it.
Lithe is better, but you still have to be able to get to a vault location in order to use it.
With Overcome, you basically get a free escape every time you're hit, and it can actually make Lightweight a useful perk. When combined with CoH and Shadow Step, it's mean af.
Overcome+Lucky Break+Inner Healing+Quick'n'quiet is just too much fun. Get hit, disappear complete and reset in one fell swoop. Its like magic.
-
The people predicting massive whining about Sprint Burst and Lithe, or even claiming that Sprint Burst is secretly op, just underestimate us killer mains and never have 40s or hard worked been negated at the press of a single button after messing up on the survivors side. DH finally losing its death grip on this game is such an immense weight lifted from killers shoulders all over the globe.
I will happily have to chose between chasing after a sprint bursting survivor or seeking other prey, when this happens at the start of a chase, not when the chase should come to its logical conclusion. And those rare breeds that can keep their SB 99% and then surprise you mid chase, they earned it and are in fact so rare that they are inconsequential.

I love interacting with the killer. I much prefer interacting with the killer than doing gens any day. What I don't like is being put into a situation that puts me in a seemingly impossible situation where I feel powerless to do anything about it. I have tried getting better at looping and escaping tunnels and in the rare occasion I do but most of the time me suddenly going into "pro gamer" mode to avoid a tunnel is not going to end well. I have no other incentive to play this game other than for my own entertainment. I'm not going to stress myself out every time I play this game to try to deal with toxic killers who think its Ok to rush down someone right off the hook. If theres anything unsportsmanlike in this game, its tunneling.
I don't know how the new changes are going to affect tunneling. I will try it out when it goes live but honestly I don't see killer mains giving up on trying regardless if BT is base kit. They will figure something out to keep doing it and if they can't we'll just hear more complaining about something that should've been rooted out of this game years ago.
... "every time I play this game to try to deal with toxic killers who think its Ok to rush down someone right off the hook. If theres anything unsportsmanlike in this game, its tunneling."
Its this and those super well organized teams, that prevent EVERY. SINGLE. PICKUP 'n' HOOK. with either a flashlight save, bodyblocking and/or saboing. I know that being part of this makes you fly and think that you are the king of the world and you can tackle anything and nothing can stop you fufufu! .. but if you ever are at the receiving end of it while you were just trying to have a fun and casual game, you might question yourself whats the point of still playing and you might end the game with 2 hooks on two different survivors and everyone falling over themselves in giving you one final flashlight or twerk to the face.
Right now the only moment when I can somewhat relax my gameplay is when I turned the game into a 3v1 at 4 gens, because now things slow down enough that I have time to deal with all the DHs thrown at me and still enjoying the game. An early 3v1 seems nearly necessery, otherwise its 4E *gg ez* and all the BMs you can think of.
-
One of the most fun I ever had with Myers was when I was randomly dropped into RPC and I played budged Scratched Mirror, ie I just didn't level up my power and just stalked the poor survivors madly around the map and jump scared them whenever possible. I still got salty messages in the end game chat and could have 4Ked the trial, but gave the last one the exit gate.
-
Or basement Hag is another quite easy way. Got a 4K today were I got a lucky down at 1 gen left and it all unraveled from there and they all ended up on the basement hooks.
But this challange sure aint that easy if you purposefully want to do it. Some of the challenges are like that, but on the other hand they are challenges, right? One of the tougher ones for me was the second "Ace's Journey" were you needed to finish 2 gens, cleanse 2 totems and savely unhook 2 survivors all within one game with Ace. It doesn't sound that bad at first, but in reality there is always one end thats not working out. You need to be doing gens, but also keep an eye out for the other survivors so that you can get the unhooking, its a real balancing act, and in between you also need to cleanse two totems. Either your side is slamming it and running circles around the killer, never giving you an opportunity to get that 2 unhooks, or the killer is pressuring you so hard that you just can't seem to finish that second gen. One time I had everything done and was creeping around the map looking for the last totem to cleanse, when the killer ferreted me out :D This one took me quite some time, but eventually you will make it.

This is in a survivor view if you notice a teammate is injured or on a hook why open the gate because if that injure teammate isn't near by they can go down and if the killer has blood Warden congrats you've just screwed yourself. Isn't the point to help others you can rescue and block to prevent any problems the killer may cause why open up the gate straight away instead of 99% it.
I always open the gates straigth away. 2(4)mins is plenty of time to get everyone healed up, organize a rescue atempts and even trade a few hooks. If the killer has Blood Warden, at least they get some value out of it instead of it getting countered by a tactic that anyone can use without nearly any drawbacks and it turns the egc a bit more interesting instead of just a dull twerking and flashlight clicking fest before zooming off.

Please tell me which killer is worse than her?
She is just an m1 killer with a bad teleport and stealth that's not stealth at all.
Her condemnation is useless, this thing needs to be reworked and changed entirely because its either too strong,or too weak.
Assign each generator a TV. Curse the gen so that it can't be worked at unless the tape is removed from the corresponding TV. Also reduce the TVs cooldown after teleporting. This way you generate passive pressure, passive condemnation and force the players to interact with the TVs and carrying the tapes to the far corners of the map.
The de-/manifestation could give a better speed boost, like wraith, but a lot of people are suggesting that she should be able to just phase through pallets and vaults and I don't know if this would be the best solution. It could be fun if she turned fully unclipped and you could freely move through objects and walls while demanifested, but this would alter her kit in an unprecidented way, and even without a speedboost after manifesting this would generate all kinds of problems. BUT it would be interesting and a unique ability.
Also somethings could be done with her hair, but I got no idea what. But its underutilized.

I’m a lil exhausted after grinding those Flans but I can guess a theory. Survivors are warming up to the new changes and are already shifting to adapt. Increase Gen Times? Buff Thana? Pfft, gotta start remembering how this toolbox works and put down my medkit lol.
This. I am also seeing a lot of people comboing BT with Guardian these days, already emulating the +7% speed boost. People are training for the big patch to drop in 2 weeks or something.

Definitely miss the bp. Tried playin a few games afterwards n was like "whats the point?". Havent played since. Just checkin the forums from time to time to see if theres any updates on the patch. Might come back, might wait til next event.
I have only played a few games since. I guess I am kinda waiting for the big update to drop and see how the game plays afterwards and if killer feels at least a little bit better after the patch?

Do we agree we will understand better if there was Spirit encouraging Nurse to blink? T_T
(I do love their drawings as well.)
Jin twerking and slapping her buttock to encourage nurse to blink to that booty :>

You can get a higher tier pull.
Yes, I know, but the chance is not that high. Most of the time you just get an unknown item of the boxes rarity for the normal price, and that feels a bit cheap and unrewarding.

You can image Nurse chases you with Spirit's speed, then at window/pallet, you have 2 choices:
- Drop pallet, vault window. Nurse blinks over and get hit.
- Not drop pallet, vault window. Get hit.
I think I got it ... but you know what would work better? One of your cute cartoons :>

I think for mystery boxes to have a reason to exist, they need some kind of bonus, some kind of pull. Like you get a 50/50 chance of the item in them being of a higher tier, or they got two random items. Or at the very least they would have to be cheaper then a regular item of their rarity, not exactly the same, while not knowing what it is!

Yeah, I noticed this too. Before I had 5-15s killer queues in the evening/night and about 3min during the day. I would usually enjoy my Killer gameplay during the evening and play soloQ survivor during the day with comparable shorter queue times. This was always explained that most players played with their friends and in SWF groups during the peak hours, resulting in this instant killer waiting times during the evening, and still comparable short times during the day.
During the 6th anniversary event this shifted, which I attributed to a lot of survivors switching to killers for the event to have an easier time farming those 12 invitations. But somehow it didn't revert. I still got nearly instant survivor queues during the day, but killer queues during the night can be up to 2min sometimes (still nearly instant during peek hours in the early evening). And during the day you can easily wait 5-6min to get a killer game going. So its either that a lot more players dipped their toe into the killer game play during the event and found it to their liking, or that a lot of survivors are playing PTB in favor of the real game.
I don't know what actually happened, but you can definitely feel it.

Mikaela is great character and she is super hot. I don't know what do you mean with that. She is witch, redhead and cute. Good enough.
But do we need more redheads? Hell yeah.
But you can't ignore the fact that she also got no soul and is ruthless beyond cold. Her comely form hides a vicious and deranged mind, deadset on ruining killers progress at just the tip of her boons. And nowadays she seems to have become extremely apt with the flashlight.
