I ... I have no idea what you are actually talking about. Too much rage and ranting and too fee solid Infos.
You talk about survivors, but make it sound like you could also be talking about Billy or Wesker.... but most definitely not Blight, as he is doing pretty well, collision wise.
Confused.

That picture is actually an unused game file of Anna, ie Huntress, without her mask. It was datemined late 2016, but never saw use ingame. Just leave it to the Internet to take some kernel of truth and spin some wild tale around it.

6/10 - the game is a gen rush meta which is a problem because it forces killers to use heavy gen regression, but because of all the heavy gen regression, then everyone has to run gen rush, but since everyone runs gen rush, then killers have to use heavy gen regression. It's a constant cycle of nonsense and no fun for anyone involved. Gen speeds need to be standardized where perks cannot increase or decrease their progress, have gens automatically regress, and remove the ability to kick. That way, it's far less of a roll of the die guessing game on gen speeds, and it makes room for BOTH sides to use more fun perks.
Also, the game would get an easy +1 score if they freaking make spinechill not pick up on undetectable, already.
Here is an idea: just don`t equip gen regression perks, but pure aggression and go ham. At first you will lose pretty brutal and spectacular, but eventually you will develop the gamesense thats needed in order to interrupt them, while hooking left and right.
Getting bye without gen regression aint easy (and no one should mind that one Scourge Hook: Pain Res that you are running), but if you don`t make yourself the slave of the meta, you might just level up.

Did you obtain Nirvana?
You honestly sound like you were really close.
While contemplating, I agonized, I tossed and turned. I bumped my head against the wall and I despaired. Then this strange, cold and gloomy fog crept in and engulfed me and the rest is history. Watcj me face off against The Warlord, DBDs next exciting, new killer.
-
I remember that time when I DCed a couple of times in protest to aweful survivor shennanigans and then had a legit DC that left me with a 2h ban (the highest I ever got). That felt so unfair and definitely not MY fault, that I had already opened this forums. But then it dawned at me that that last DC might have been not my fault, the 3 or 4 before that very well, though. So I deleted the angry post that I was writing and spend the next 2h watching some movie while I contemplated my place in the DBD world.

Nobody is going to give you videos of them losing, stop with that crap too. Just because nobody gives you videos doesn't mean s*** either.
Counterplay to Nurse: make lucky guesses the whole match
Basically this. The first two times I run away from the nurse, then double back in her direction, 100% losing her every time. The third time I don't try any tricks and just hold W and in 75% of the cases the Nurse will fly too short.
After this I become erratic and don't know myself what I'll be doing next. This essentially turns every blink into a mind mindgame; a game that I will inevitably lose, but I'll try to waste as much time as possible. Juking can also help with making her miss, even though she guessed your reaction right.
Countering Nurse involves some luck, but even more experience just not respecting her fearsome reputation. And if you just went down in 15s? Well, just reflect and enjoy your probably 15s queue time and be off in the nest trial before the hook you died on had any chance to dry.
-
1-3, lots of unhappy survivor frens :<
-
You get a lot DCs for using Lethal Pursuer. I legitly sometimes see survivors memeing with themselves at the start of the match, ie pointing at each other and repeatedly crouching, not paying attention to the enthusiastic Pyramid Head closing in. And then it's POTD, followed by a cleaver swing and it's a 50/50 if you get a hook or a DC.
Bonus points if you noticed the badly concealed survivor right next to the hook and just smack then for good measure and thus make the decision to DC easier.
-
@Alen_Starkly said:
I agree that that are many trivial things over which people will DC. However, there are serious reasons as well, reasons that make the game really unfun (e.g. Nurse being OP, especially with certain builds, where LOS-ing her and juking does nothing). If you put DC penalties back on, people will STILL kill themselves on hook because of an extremely unfun match.
Trying to force people to endure a match against a really unfun (/obnoxiously oppresive) killer feels awful, and putting up with it feels awful, stressful. People seek a way out, a relief. Addressing these issues is a big step in the right direction. Trying to shut down how people feel and trying to force them to endure matches that feel like hell is a really bad approach, imo.
This is why I would like BHVR to consider if Nurse, map imbalance, etc. are really something they should continue ignoring, without providing explanations as to why they are not changing those.
I am still baffled by the math (or lack of) behind ragequit DCing.
Okay, I face a super sweaty Starstruck God Nurse, no one last longer then two blinks in a chase and I am hooked. Why would I DC, just to spite the Nurse player and face escalating DC bans, but a minimum of 5min, when I could just die honestly and be back in the next lobby in 20s?

I think this is mostly a good idea, although some things being too readily available (BNPs, Judith's tombstone, etc) would be a bit cracked imo lol
The store could maybe have a daily or weekly stock. You could get a few key items or a base stock, but not fully substitute for the bloodweb, nor gorge yourself on certain items. But some items might be practically basekit for your playstyle, so getting a coupl hassle-free would be nice.

I'd really just like it if they removed the self heal aspect entirely, but buffed the speed bonus back up to 100% and revealed the aura of injured teammates inside the radius to other teammates.
I would go a step further and make it an actual Circle of Healing, ie while you are inside of it, your health bar slowly fills itself, no matter what you do. It would be slower then self-care, but stack with other forms of healing. The healing could he accompanied by a telltale ringing sound and some soothing light.
-
All the fine people here already gave you some pretty solid recommendations, ie Wraith, Doctor, Legion.
I would also recommend them, but also want to offer The Dredge. He is a bit more complex with his kit, but has some interesting perks that make it a bit easier to deal with palettes (Dissolution) and help a lot with locating survivors (Darkness Revealed).
His map mobility can help you get close to some distant notifications and jumpscaring survivors or snacking then when they fiddle with a lock will never get old. Besides that, in chase he is 90% a normal M1 killer, so he is good for learning the ropes of he killer trade.
-
As a "whole event Arcane Dowsing Rod enjoyer" I can say "oh nice, two average games worth of BP for free!", but for the players who lost loads and loads of flan and cake, this must feel like a slap in the face, like adding insult to injury, like thoroughly salting the gaping wound, Salt Bae style.
-
Otzdarva commented on the numbers and had some very good thoughts.
I am not fan boying, but what sounded pretty reasonable was this: the game is very volatile, especially for the survivors. A killer can potentially make a comeback from a very bad start or development in the trial, whereas survivors can sometimes topple the whole game with one blunder.
Also, a survivor who doesn't like the killer/map/whatever can always suicide on the very first hook and practically doom their team from minute one, while a killer can often secure a single kill even in a bad game. Both of this aspects contribute towards skewering the kill rates in the killers favor without the games being "balanced". I guess in order to achieve what we would call balanced, ie having a good shot at surviving a given trial/killing a good amount of survivors, the overall killrate needs to be way above 50%, ie probably around 60%.
Also, the killers that surprise a lot of players with their high ranking, ie Pinhead, Sadako and even Pig and Freddy, all got innate slowdown and/or very strong and useful base perks. Remember that new players in low MMR won't be having a lot of perks to chose from, so killers with strong base perks (Deadlock, Hex:Plaything, Merciless Storm, Call of Brine) will fare better then killer's with mediocre base perks, just by making their loadout more meta.

Friend, I'm happy to discuss things further, but the snarkiness is not necessary.
The changes we made in 6.1.0 were not solely based on stats. When looking at gameplay, it was clear that Killers were having a rough time doing what they need to do - killing, and this was in no small part due to things like generator repair times. Each of the changes we made were related to issues that many people have brought up. I would encourage you to read through the Developer Updates we posted around that time where we explained our reasoning behind each of the changes.
Beyond that, the data we have access to is far more details than averages, which allows us to do deeper dives and reveal more than just a kill rate.
Again, stats can show you where a problem might be, but they do not paint a full picture.
Please invite me into the balancing team. I have so many good ideas for both sides and bet that we can work a few things out that well get und communityexcited. Experience: 20 odd years as dungeon master for various system's :)
No snarky or biting comment's, all communication will be kept professionaland civil. Promise.

I've been playing a lot of games with spooky builds and letting people go when they're cute (I let survivors interact with the rifts before hitting them, and sometimes they act friendly after that and I can't pull the trigger on people who aren't trying to run away.) The result is that my MMR's dropped a bit and I can play however I like. I'd really advise giving that a shot and seeing if you enjoy playing killer from that vantage. Sometimes MMR really screws up and throws newbies at you, and that's terrible, but there is a sweet spot where you can go for the 12-hook games or play weird builds and have a decent shot at winning, while still feeling engaged by the skill level of your opponents.
I enjoyed doing this, too. I usually play pretty chill and let the survivors dump their void energy at rifts without interfering unless they raised my anger in some way.
I also adopted the practice to play normally till I teach mid-silver ranks (normally around 4 or 5 days after the reset), then tank my MMR extremely hard, by only going for 8 hooks and not killing anyone at all. Once my MMR hits rock bottom (usually signified by survivors being so scared of the killer that they don't even come for the first hook rescue when you are on the other side of the map) I shift gears and play extremely sweaty and balls to the walls for the 20-30 matches it takes me to hit Iri1.
This way I only ruin a manageable amount of baby survivors games, while also keeping my sanity. Once I hit Iri1 I play super chill, kill a few survivors, while letting the cute ones go and meme with them. I would prefer not going so hard against baby survivors, but I had way too many frustrating situations with the current pipping system, so this system leaves me with about 3 weeks of carefree playing how I want.
I am a bit concerned that my sweat phase might collide with the first week of the event, but I guess that can't be helped. I am nearly there, though.
All of this wouldn't be needed if BHVR did away with depipping unless you DC, so there is still hope that they change the system at one point.

that's why people with 200 hours and 6000 hours can be in one team and the 6000 hours guy goes down in 15 seconds
Today I played with one Prestige 99 and two prestige 100 players (each one in a seperate game). I know that prestige doesn't mean anything skill wise, but someone who brought their favorite character above 50 shows a level of dedication that should equal at least a modicum of skill.
Well, all three high prestige survivors went down as easy or hard as the rest of their team, I felt no difference at all. I know that prestige ranks can be cheated, but nothing at this players made me doubt that they were legit. At the end of the day it all depends on your skills vs theirs.

It only counts full days. 1 day and 23h 59min will be shown as "1 day". At the 23h 59min mark it will register as "23h". Sometimes, with the 7days events, they give us a full countdown, and there you can see it at play, too: the event starts and will last 7 days, so the timer shows "6 days, 23h, 59min" etc

It’s still a pretty solid perk but i feel like there are just better options. Funnily it was nerfed because of nurse yet she is still the best user of the perk
Sams as with Thanatophobie and Legion/Plage: this two killers synergy with Thana got the perk nerfed, and now the two are the only ones who can get some value out of it ^^ It should actually be the other way around. I think that BHVR shouldn't shy away anymore from giving certain perks hard nerfs for specific killers, ie Awakened Awareness not having its lingering effect for Nurse, but maybe for nearly every other killer. This would open up so much more design space, instead of always thinking about the impact a new perk could have on Nurse or Blight.

I'm running other things at the moment but if I wanted to go for an aura tracking build then Awakened Awareness plus BBQ and Chili plus Lethal Pursuer is a combo I'd definitely consider. Basically every time I carry and hook someone I'd see auras everywhere on the map except for a band that's between about 20-40 meters distance. That's pretty great info!
My go-to build right now is Lethal Pursuer, I am all Ears, Awakened Awareness and Deadlock, but for funsies I changed the last one for Franklins. Now its a total chaos build: all this extra hits at unsuspecting sneaky survivors translate to lost items, and lost items lead survivors into making daring rescue attempts that they shouldn't. Between the first hit from Awakened Awareness and then the hit survivor fast vaulting away and activating I am all Ears, it sometimes feels like I am playing with wallhacks, because the survivor is exposed for such a long time.
I recently started using BBQ again on Dredge, and it is just a very good perk. Back in the days when every killer as running BBQ, a lot of the better survivors knew how to hop into lockers in order to counter it. Now that it has fallen totally off the rader, you basically see all the far away survivors with it, and with Dredge this often translates to very brutal locker assaults at self-caring survivors at the otehr end of the map :)

I think all of the cosmetics should cost about 30% less than they do. If they cost 50% less that would feel like a bargain. Regular price feels too expensive to me.
I always feel that the micro transaction industry is sleeping on 75% of the market. A lot of players would say "hey, I like that skin and I wanna support the game. Here is my 5 bucks!", but whenever I see cosmetics in games, they are always a good chunk over the feel-good-mark (probably that 30% of yours).
My gut feeling tells me, that this is just what everyone else is doing, and its making money, and no one ever seriously tried to sell much more for less, ie the 5$ route. And now its deemed too risky to change, the first one to try it could make a lot of extra money, but also risk a lot of revenue, so things will stay as they are.

Just now (like literally, I am still afk in the match) I got a match as best boi Pyramid Head on Ormond. Lethal Pursuer showed me two dudes in the shack, so I hauled my shapely ass over there and gave it a shot with a blind POTD. Got two hits. Waited outside, a David and a Felix ran past me, one went down, then the other shortly after. Both went on the basement hook. While hooking I saw a Mikaela hiding behind the entrance via Awakened Awareness and on the way out gave her a lovely wack. I actually wanted to leave the shack, because that was a hell of a bad start for the survivors, but the moment that Mikaela got wacked the two sods in the basement DCed simultaneously. I can't really blame them, as I get the frustration, but why DC? Just ######### on hook and be up and ready to the next game within 20s. So this game got ruined within about 1:30min. Let the two others finish the 4 gens while I wrote this piece here.
The only sad part is that the two survivors who stayed got 45k BP and I got 12k ... well, thats the true price of altruism ;D

I don't know why he's rated so low to begin with. Myers is only the worst killer if you don't bring any addons. The thing tier lists never mention is that EVERYONE who brings Myers either has a tombstone piece or infinite tier 3. Like it's almost guaranteed.
I play a lot Myers, he is far from my main killer, but a good comfort pick. I don't use Tombstone add-ons a lot, but even the add-ons that make him stalk faster make him pretty good. Playing Myers is all about time management and keeping chases short and getting the most out of your tier 3.
Honestly, the way he can easily snowball is terrifying, he is really a slow burn killer that will glimmer all game and then suddenly explode into a brutal slaughterfest, when the survivors overextend and missplay. In my oppinion Myers plays extremely well into an endgame build, ie slowly building up your stacks for No Way Out and Remember me all game, while maybe getting rid of one player and then turning the game into a bitter loss on the verge of success.
Myers will never be top tier, but in the words of Ash: "I admire its purity." There is a certain elegance to Myers simple kit and I only wish that the stalk juice of killed survivors would transfer to the others or that stalk juice slowly regenerated.

Basically she's Opposite Nurse. I for one am terrible with her and consequently havn't touched her since her release.

With the current Tome as well as the Haunted by Daylight Event Tome happening at the same time I figured now is the good time to go for all the BP and Rift Fragments but after completing every challenge in Tome 1, 19 Challenges Total, 9 Regular Challenges worth 3 Rift Fragments Each, 9 Challenges worth 5 Rift Fragments each then the Epilogue worth 10 Rift Fragments. 82 Fragments Total 8 Rift Pass Reward Tiers.
Then you have the Haunted by Daylight Tome. 13 regular Challenges worth 3 Rift Fragments each, 1 Challenge worth 5 Rift Fragments then the Epilogue worth 10 Rift Fragments. 54 Fragments Total 5 Rift Pass Reward Tiers.
So by completely everything so far what's out that only gets you 13 Rift Pass Tiers, then of course you have extra for playing matches but even then now after finishing everything so far I am only currently at Tier 21/85, It just seems like very low reward for completing everything so far and just comes across as a very unnecessary grind especially when you can only have 1 Challenge selected at a time and most of them require multiple matches played to even achieve.
When it comes to Battle Passes I am currently progressing in Overwatch, Fortnite and DBD. Overwatch I am currently Tier 46, game has been out just under 2 weeks and that's only by completely near 2 weeks worth of Daily Challenges, you are rewarded for 3 at most worth 3000XP each, and near 2 weeks worth of Weekly Challenges 11 per week worth 5000XP each. 10,000XP is 1 Battle Pass Tier.
Fortnite I am currently Tier 106 Week 4 into the season and that's by playing both the PvP and PvE, PvE I use just for a VBuck daily's and PvP I go for the Daily, Weekly Challenges which I have completed all so far and the Milestone Challenges I just progress out throughout matches.
To me personally I believe the DBD Rift could potentially be just a bit too grindy with very little reward for how much you complete, completing a total of 33 challenges just to level you up 13 tiers just seems incredibly low. Yeah cool there are currently a few Rift Fragment daily's just by logging in but that doesn't always happen every Rift so I think BHVR should look into reducing the grind even if it means creating more Challenges worth 5 or more Rift Fragments. With how this time they have done the extra Tier 71-85 bonus skins maybe they could do extra bonus Challenges that could even be more difficult than current Challenges we get currently but as long as they aren't boring grindy challenges which basically just say "play our game". Or even just make it a select lot of challenges are unlocked at a time so you can complete multiple at once.
For example:
Bless 1 Totem as Mikaela Reid
Unlock 2 Chests using Clairvoyance
Finish repairing 2 Esoteric Generators
Earn 50,000 Bloodpoints
You could easily smash all these out in 1 match especially with the Event offerings giving a lot more BP per match, imagine if you could. That in itself would create less grind. I don't see a logical reason in only being able to do 1 challenge at a time, what other Battle Pass does this?
Just wanna chime in ^^
You got 21/85 tiers with the first page of the book, 3 to come. The extra event page give you a bit more bang then normally, but not that much. All in all, you got about 1/4 done with 1/4 the content released. Not too shabby. And you still got some days to play till the next pages drop, so most likely you will stay ahead of the curve and finish well into page 2 or at the start of page 3 the latest.

Just for some healing and soothing purposes, I will share a game I just had were I 4k-ed against a bully squad and they didn't expect it, because it was my "Late Game Salt"-Mikey build.
They harassed me all game, t-bagged and flashlight clicked me at every opportunity, while playing it as save as possible and looped back to the shack at every chance they got, so I went into EGC with just 3 hooks to my name.
But thats the beauty of this build: Overconcidence is a slow and insidious killer and in quick succession they all fell to my blade. No one expects NOED with Mikey, so it totally catches them by surprise :)
But back to topic: I often get the feeling that a lot of killer mains are actually at least 70/30 split players and that there is really rarely a full "killer main". The players that identify as "killer mains" love playing killer, but that doesn't mean that they won't play survivor. I have actually never encountered any killer main who didn't play a good portion of survivors.
If you turn the thing around, though, it looks quite different. You can't kill with friends, you can only survivor with friends, and as the vast majority of players enjoy playing together, this leads to a very big portion of "survivor only" survivor mains, ie players with next to non experience of the game as the killer.
I am not trying to spin this as a "killers good, survivors bad" thing, we all know that there are horrible persons on both sides, who actively try to ruin others fun, BUT the lack of empathy for the other side is far, far bigger on the survivors playerbase then on the killers. And I strongly believe that this ties in into a lack of playing the other side. Circling back: most killers also play survivors and know the pain of getting tunneled and camped on 1st hook, while a good portion of the survivor population don't really know how tough life of a killer can be and how debilitating a crushing survivor victory feels.
I identify myself as a killer main, but I never, ever felt the same rush of frustration or anger when a killer nods at me and hits on the hook as when I get hit in the face by a palette and then t-bagged and pointed it. Nodding might be the killers version of BMing, but it doesn't even play in the same ballpark of infuriation. Hitting on the hook beyond the first appreciation slap is meanspirited, but even that gives the survivors the satisfaction that they tilted the killer enough to lose their cool and they might even enjoy themselves while dangling on the hook, whereas a killer NEVER gets satisfaction out of a t-bag and thinks "yeah! I chased you so good that you now need to t-bag me". You might get jaded enough that it doesn't get to you anymore, but thats not thanks to this particular survivors gameplay, that just the thousands before them who BMed and t-bagged you.
BMing the killer has been part of the game since the very beginning, and it has never been adressed. So this leaves us with the question: is BHVR actually scared that they might lose players if they can't stick it to the killer anymore? Is the humiliation of the other side and the bully survivor playstyle an integral part of the fun of a big enough portion of the game, that they can't just change this without risking their revenu?

@DEMONANCE said:
they'll probably tell you it's because of the stupid achievement bhvr added that requires you to escape on rpd 20 times.
do people not realize they'll eventually get this done by playing normally?.
do they think getting the achievement is gonna grant them a million dollars or something??
Lets look at it "Open the exit gates and escape from Racoon City Police Department 20 times in public matches."
So for you to get some progress on this achievment you need to play on one of the two RPD maps; 2 maps out of 39 is a bit better then 19/20, so roughly 5%. In only 5% of your matches you actually get a shot at this ... that is unless you are burning an RPD offering, which has probably the highest rate of killers mysteriously experiencing connection problems during loadup.
Then you have to be one of the survivors who make it to the end of the match. My own survival rate is 43% now. I know that many soloQ survivors have some rates in the 30%s, while some SWF have it better. Lets be generous here and say the survival rate is 50%. So, in only 2.5% of the matches you make it to the end.
Then you need to be the one opening the exit gates! You can't have your buddy open the gates and then slip through the killers fingers, no, you must be the one pushing down the lever. You could manage to split up and be at the other gate, you could be lucky and always bully your way through, so lets be even more generous and say that you get to open the gates in 2/3s of the instances you make it to this point, and lets ignore any blood wardens and other shennanigans.
66% of 2.5% equals 1.65% So each time you queue up you have 1.65% chance to grind out one of twenty pips needed to get this achievment ... if we are generous. The numbers could easily go down as low as 1% or even below that. So at best you would need to play over 1200 matches to get this done if no offerings are used. I thought "The man behind the bush" was grindy af, but here you can at least expect to get 2-4 pips per match.

Plaything is pretty much the only way to ever get to even use pentimento, especially since hexes can be booned and snuffing it just reverts to a dull. Pentimento also tells at least one person exactly where it is, due to it requiring at least one cleansed totem to be able to apply it. The entire point of the perk is for it to provide a strong amount of slowdown for a very limited duration due to its drawbacks.
Its kinda not great, but its also better than a corrupt that removes itself the moment someone is downed, a ruin that deletes itself if nobody cleansed it by the time you get a kill, and so on. I hope you're not bothered by deadlock, because that one is becoming pretty meta lately as well for the same reason.
That remind me of that one time where I was doing some tome challenges and had a full totem cleanser loadout for that "cleanse 15 totems" challenge ... and I ran into a Plaything/Pentimento/Haunted Ground killer the next game. That was a very odd and exhilarating experience: that game i cleansed 9 totems in total, 6 of which were Hexes. The killer and I basically chased each others totems with me cleansing every totem I found, while the killer Pentimentoed every one I cleansed.
The game strangely ended with a 3K and just me escaping ... I mean, yeah, I didn't spend much time on gens, but the killer also took a lot of detours to all the totems. Whatever, it was a lot of fun and a nice break from the usual chase and hook formula.

What's the process to booping the snoot?
There is one pig player going by the name of Lady Piggy, and let me tell you: she knows it all! She can explain you all about booping, and I mean it. She sorta wrote a book by it. I will link th book here, but for some peeps, who are too afraid to click links, I will copy pasta it here. But disclaimer: this aint my work, its Lady Piggys work, and she was a big inspiration to me. I hope that I might one day thank her in person by booping her snoot :)
Here we go. The link:
Hey bois and gurls, snoot boopers and Piggies, this guide is created for you! Everything about snoot booping from survivor's and killer's pov! How to charm every nice Piggy and snoot booper? Wish yPart for survivors who are thinking about boop a random Piggy their first time:
1. What exactly means "boop the snoot"?
It means to crouch as survivor. If Piggy crouches too instead of stab you with her assasin blade then she is probably saying one of those 4 things:
- "Hmm... What do you want from me?"
- "Umm.. Hey.."
- "Boop? :3"
- "Uuuu.. What do you have for me? UwU"
And it's permission for you. She is letting you boop her.
So it's very simple, look: you crouch, Piggy sees this, crouches too and then you need to point at her nose. It's boop the snoot, now you can use this knowledge to make some Piggies happy! Go ahead, they are gentle.. ~~
"Sniff sniff.. oink! Aw, what a nice toolbox and flashlight, thank you!"
2. Piggy stabbed me when I crouched, w-why? (◕︵◕)
Oh dear, unfortunately this Piggy doesn't respect snoot booping, she is just mad or she wanna kill everyone for the reasons. Buuut there still is hope, look at those situations:
- if she instantly downed you then it means she won't let you boop the snoot and is gonna just kill you like every else killer,
- if she downed noodled her head like "yes" or crouched on you/crouched and roar = "Ohh, nice. Wanna boop me? Maybe later, now go on the hook."
- if noodled like "no" = "No! You can't boop me, prepare to die! Oink! >:3"
- if she just looked at you after down you, she probably is just confused but there always is a chance she will become your friend if you try to be nice for her (give one or more items etc).
3. Boop the snoot isn't a meme!!
A) "Snoot booping is a cool meme."
Yes, it's so cool and positive thing in our lovely wonderful DbD. But many, maaaany people thinks it's a meme. No, it isn't, really. In this way you're showing the Piggy some nice intentions. I will tell more about this later.
B) "Snoot booping is a so annoying and cringy meme."
Don't care about people who are saying something like that, my snoot booping friends. The most often people like that are sad try hards who can't take fun from this game anymore in any other way than play for 32k BPs as survivor and the killer. DbD sometimes is a one big cringe so don't even try to understand why they are bothered by snoot booping, you'll get headache, ouch!
4. Killer is happy, Piggy is happy.
I'm gonna tell you about 3 types of Piggies right now, take a look:
A) Piggy - common nice Piggies who respects boop the snoot, they are noodling their heads when you boop them, they are telling you:
"Aw, thank you, hatch for you!"
B) Rawr Piggy - they are enjoying snoot booping with roaring to show you it's pleasure for them and show friendship. They are saying:
"Roooar! Roar roar! UwU"
C) Queen Piggy - Piggies who fully understand snoot booping. Why? Because if you boop them, they are raising their heads. Thanks to this, from survivor's pov he sees he is booping her snoot in the perfect way. They also roar and sometimes noodle with heads. They mean:
"Oh, good good, boop me, my precious.. ^w^"
All of those 3 types of Piggies are respecting boop the snoot, it's a lot. That's why you should try it with every Piggy, you'll find nice ones, don't worry!
5. Don't abuse snoot booping too much.
Well, you shouldn't boop the Piggy like milion times, no one like touchi touchi too much.. UwU You can't make Piggy feeling uncomfortable, she will be start stressing a lot because she has to respect eeeevery boop.
Instead, you can boop her a few times and everytime when you meet her again. Also, you can shake your head after boop instead of boop her again.
Some of them can be little dangerous cuties if you abuse snoot booping too much, so respect their feelings please! >:3
"On the old road we found redemption, together..."
Part for elite of survivors called "snoot boopers" who wanna know more things about boop the snoot:
1. Early game boop.
So match just started. You're seeing Jigsaw Box next to your spawn and you're happy because you got a Piggy. If you wanna boop her so much, you can go looking for her. The best moment to meet the Piggy is just instantly come there, where she downed someone. You can crouch in the close distance to get her attention when she is picking someone up. Then she hooks this survivor and sees you still waiting in crouch there. If she is a nice Piggy, she will crouch to let you boop her.
Let's assume you booped her, congratulations! What now? Well, it's depending on this Piggy's will. Two situations:
A) If she doesn't care about early game pressure, she will go to catch other survivors. But please, don't unhook survivor right after she left you, wait a moment with it, don't unhook him right in front of her snoot after you booped her, it's rude and ungrateful.
B) If she cares, then you can be expecting stab. Okay, she appreciated your boop but she wanna put you on the hook. What now? Well, you can fight with her and start running. Then she can be pretty mad but still depending on this Piggy, you never know. Second option - go to the hook and show her that you wanna be hooked. For Piggy it means:
"Aww, what a wonderful puppy.. ^w^"
Two survivors on the hook right after start of the match is quite awkward but hey, don't worry. You're her puppy, you shouldn't sabo your team but you can make this match a little bit easier for her, she'll appreciate it, trust me.
"You gave me 3 toolboxes and booped me so nicely in the early game, now it's time for your reward, oink! UwU"
2. Middle game boop.
Depending on situation:
A) If Piggy is loosing, she can be a little bit agressive. If you see she is in doubt, troubles, doesn't want to hook you but she have to do it, then go let her hook you (not to the death hook), it'll help her a little. And before it, you can boop her to show friendship. She should be okay and feel relief because she has more pressure to win the match. Anyway, boop if she is loosing = give her a free hook. And remember - if she seems be merciless loosing Piggy, better just run away.
B) If Piggy is winning the match, it's much more easier. She is just chilling and she is happy about how is her match going. Especially in this moment it's amazingly good thing to make her your friend with snoot booping. Now you can boop her whenever you want. After start of the chase, when she finds you. Only end of the chase moment is a little bit bad moment to boop her. She could be mad about your looping.
But still, winning Piggy in the middle game is a great moment to boop her and make her friendly to you. Take that opportunity! ❤
3. Endgame boop.
Endgame can be sometimes a lot more complicated. Still depending on situations:
A) Piggy displeased the Entity. She can be mad about this and will farm you with her ambush dash attack and even try to kill you (at the gate). But she also may enjoy her boops being a killer who took her fail like a true man. Then you can play around with this Amanda, she is like:
"Sooo bad match.. TwT Well, at least this survivor is nice and wanna make me feel better. :3"
And again - Piggies have feelings, carry about them!
B) Piggy won the match. For example: everyone are dead and you're looking for the hatch. She finds it before you, close it and then she finds you while patrolling the gates. If you can't open it in time and see she is coming, you can crouch and then try to boop her, she may has a mercy. Chances for get the mercy during endgame are the biggest if you didn't do that before.
If the hatch is open and she finds you during searching for it, then you can try to boop her, chances are the same like in the first option. Don't run, just give up, you won’t find the hatch during a chase anyway, take that risk, it's worth.
"Do you wanna boop me? Go ahead, my handsome boi.. ~"
Important pro snoot booper tip - the earlier you boop her, the bigger are chances to make her your friend and let you escape later. It works like this for Piggies:
"Ooo, I like him/her, need to remember about give him/her more friendly attention."
4. Every killer is other person in real world and every from them personally has his own favourite survivor. But some survivors are liked by the most of the killers. I mean these survivors are the cutest (based on global opinion, most playing characters, own experience):
- Dwight Fairfield,
- Feng Min,
- Kate Denson,
- Jane Romero,
- Steve Harrington,
- Yui Kimura.
Playing one of them may give you extra chances to make Piggies more friendly to you. Keep it in mind! It really works. So dear, now you know - play these cute survivors!! UwU
Another pro snoot booper tip:
Personally, I love Steve and Yui the most. But the cutest snoot boop survivor is Kate. She looks so silly and incredibly adorable when she is booping Piggy, it may make you to yell "awwww" for the real!
5. #TwoNotOfficialPiggyTeams ^^
Every nice Amanda belongs to one of two Piggy teams in my opinion:
A) #IRespectSnootBooping
They are a Piggies who respect boop the snoot and let you live if you booped them. But they can be impatient, get mad easily so you need to be careful. Don't do any objectives in front of her face (except searching a chest to give her an item). It doesn't mean they are bad/evil Piggies, don't even think like that! >:3
They are just playing fair and actually wanna play the real game instead of letting someone boop them and then see how these survivors are doing a gen right in front of her snoot. Be careful, be nice, don't do stupid things and she is gonna be okay with you.
B) #SnootBoopersForever
Piggies who even are looking for survivors to get boop. If the Pig is playing as the Trapper for a moment, then she will immediately switch character to Amanda if she notices survivor called "snoot booper" in her lobby. And she'll play normally but very gentle for this snoot booper, see? Piggies are so cute and nice, carry about them! They deserve for it.
If more than one survivor booped her during match, she is going to farm them and let you all gens and escape. So.. It looks like this:
#SnootBoopersForever Piggy + 4 snoot boopers in the early game = farming and a looot of love! It's so cute, someone still thinks that DbD is a horror survival game?
"Little angel and little demon Piggy together, best friends forever!"
Part for all Piggies who respect snoot booping:
1. Why?
You ask me why I'm creating part for Piggies knowing that most of the time, everything depends on them? Good question, point for you, my reader. The reasons are simple:
A) Some of Amanda's players sometimes are confused - what should they do in THIS and THIS situation? I will describe those situations in this guide so hey, my Piggy, you can get here more knowledge about respecting boop the snoot!
B) I know that nice Piggies are enjoying snoot booping a lot so I guess, this guide is a warm thing for their hearts, just sit here and read calmly, let's chill, let's become friends. ❤
C) Some of them can be unexperienced with snoot booping and wanna start doing this, well, this guide is number #1 for you! Umm.. I mean, I hope it is. ;3
"I had Ghost Face daily ritual but there is a Meg called "Boop the Snoot". Hmm.. okay, it's Piggy time!"
2. Know your puppies-boopers and choose your side!
A) You ought to read part for survivors too if you didn’t do that before. It'll help you in making relations with them much more easier.
B) Are you #IRespectBoops or #SnootBoopersForever team? Decision belongs only to you, my dear. What makes you feel more comfortable? Playing a real game and be out of control of snoot booping or be a little Piggy who gives allllll the love for her snoot boopers?
If you don’t know what I'm asking about - don’t worry. You can read about Piggy teams in the part for survivors.
Deciding for which team you belong, helps you with correct reaction when someone boops you. It's pretty important.
"There we go! ^^"
3. Someone booped me.. But he is doing weird things. What now? I'm confused - Don't be their toy-fun-thing!
It's really complicated and uncomfortable moment for every Piggy. What should you do is depending on what this survivor is doing. Let's take a look at some situations which happened after survivor booped you:
A) He is t-bagging you.
"Haha, silly Pig, I touched your snoot, now eat my butt!"
Common toxic survivor, just kill him if you can, there is no point for being nice to him.
B) Clicky-clicky.
"WOW, EZ boop your snoot, eat my flashlight!"
The same problem as with t-bagging. Kill.
C) He took away item from you.
"Gimmeeee gimme! I wanna this cool item!"
NO. Items are gifts, don't let him take it away from you. First you should:
- threat him with roaring,
- hit him,
- and if even it doesn't work, hook him,
- kill him if still doesn't want to give you your item back.
Taking your item away from you is very rude. Make them to give it back! >:3
D) He is vaulting pallets, windows, jumping into the locker and out of it, failing skillchecks all the time and it's annoying.
Looks like he/she wanna get your attention, go check it. If still didn’t stop doing this after you came there, just hook him. If already dead on hook, it depends only on you what are you gonna do with him.
E) He is sabotaging his team.
Hey! It's not fine. Snoot booper shouldn't make the match harder for you but also can't doing stuff like this, this is unfair and reportable.
Showing where they are, sandbagging etc.
But it also depends on you. Actually you like it or not? If you do, then fine but if don’t, you should hook him and show with your head that he can't doing something like this, maybe he will understand.
F) He became too altruistic.
Let's assume survivor booped you and you let him go somewhere. You hook other survivor and he immediately is back and unhooking in front of your mask or during a chase he is bodyblocking you for other survivor. What now?
Well, he is using you to farm etc. He knows he is quite safe and still is pretending that he is your friend. Well, bodyblocking is fine I would say. Because he can't just let his teammate die, I understand them and respect it. But farming and other too altruistic things are not and will not be respected.
That’s why I said before in part for survivors that waiting before unhook is nice for the Pig, snoot booper should know that, so don't worry, Piggy.
So too altruistic survivors who booped you, actually are playing a normal game but taking this opportunity you're very nice for them. Just also play normally and kill them like the normal survivors because they are just greedy survivors who used you and snoot booping.
"Aww, you booped my snoot, what a little dirty secret code user.. okay then, lemme carry you to the hatch, my Yui!"
4. What survivors can do after they booped your snoot?
Alright, so you found a one snoot booper. You're friendly to him so now he can do more things than a common survivor is able to do. But you shouldn't let him for some things anyway. Let's take a look at those laws of snoot boopers and let's explain that too:
A) Pallet stun - if snoot booper wants to stun you with the pallet/Head On to farm points then it's very, veeery rude and using Piggy as the farm-points-thing. Don't let him do that! Show him with your head "NO, u can't hurt me with that pallet!!" if he is still trying to stun you, then he isn't friendly, just rude and stupid.. Then he just should become a common survivor in your eyes who should be killed like everyone else.
B) Farming objective points - the match is gonna end, all 3 survivors are sacrificed and you want to give your snoot booper the hatch. Buuut... He doesn't want to take it but he goes away to repair last one or two last gens. Like.. Really? Wasting 80 seconds of Piggy's time just for 1250 points? Please.. Literally using the fact that Piggy is nice. If he doesn't want to take the hatch, just hook him. Unless he wants to show you something interesting, then sure! I personally love it when survivors are showing me cool things in game. :3
So there are two important laws of snoot puppies-boopers. It they're breaking them then it means they're fake friends who just want to use Piggy's kindness to farm points! Keep it in mind, my dear.
5. What snoot booping is for the DbD's community?
It's a very healthy thing for the players of Dead by Daylight, snoot booping made this game so friendly and fresh for me, it makes survivors' and killers' hearts warmer and just letting them to have this wonderful feeling of being a kind player... Hope you all who read that guide think the same like me, thank you for your time and for all goods which you're gonna do as the Piggy/snoot booper, have a good one. ❤
"Life & Death, Day & Night, Boop & Snoot, the true harmony."

Right now insidious is mainly only used for camp instances or some cheaky mindgames. What if ontop of its current effect they just had it add 5 seconds onto undetectable and oblivious perks and addons? Do you think it'd see more use outside of camping? I would think with it supposing to be the "king of stealth perks" a lethal pursuer type effect would help give it that push? What do you think?
Insidious could get the Lethal pursuer treatment ... and extend all aura reading that were active when you stopped moving indefinitely until you, well, move again. Still wouldn't make it good, but could have niche usage. Heck, you could maybe get full aura reading while standing still for 7s and it would still be incredible niche .. but on high mobility killers (again) and/or Artist, this would be pretty brutal. Still, such a stop n go playstyle would be something new.

The Devs have already said they aren't touching the franchise.
I would seriously love it, though.
Imagine you are working on a gen and minding your own business, when you hear a "Ssssssssss" and suddenly everything explodes and you are put into the dying state, while the killer has to respawn in order to pick you up.
And yes, that's the only Creeper that should make it into the game :>
