  • trust me, you dont want that.

  • I like your idea. But people are scared that the devs just would nerf it into the ground. Especially veterans. Back then when sth was abused by the community they tended to destroy perks. Like old Machine Gun Build. After both perks got nerfed both were bad af, at least STBFL got some love later on.

And DS is just by existing such a good perk to force a few more killers to not tunnel you. And losing its reputation would negate this passive effect.

I would love to see it working twice like Second Wind does but I think 20 seconds were way better. And if you get downed during that time it just stays on until picked up.

  • Yo, lil hint: Everyone does (yea even all the honourful killer) play like a piece. A Killer will tunnel/camp/whatever in order to win a game. They don't care if you have DS or not. If not, good for them. Same as a killer as you already experienced.

And now to you my friend. It's not toxic playing efficient. You have your goal, your objectives. And whatever is needed to do to outplay/sabotage the opponent, you just do it. If it means to stay near the hook or go risky and tunnel wunnel, or if it means to slug and take advantage of certain things if there is a realistic chance that it's worth it then yea. I do it, most people do it. And that is NOT toxic.

Toxic is when people go all in in the after game chat. I set it off years ago but when I just wanna look and see survivors or the killer being mad af I just tell them that I couldnt care less. Then I make some jokes and make fun about them. But if you are this type of person who's pretty sensitive you should just turn the chat off and dont care anymore.

  • You say this like obly when they play survivor theyre bitching and like theyre the only ones?

Im holding it short and say: If you dont enjoy their content, dont watch it.

If you dont like the forums where pple do the same, dont visit them.

  • Thanks mate

  • The problem is if you fix it DH people will most likely use it even more. And I can tell you that if you get robbed every single chase you getting mad. Itfeels very frustrating if you did sth right as a killer or the survior did sth wrong but you as a killer get punished by an extended chase...3 times... per survivor... Urgh...

The only reason why I would be okay with it is Bloodlust. BL1 coming in clutch very often. To use DH to equalize this mechanic seems acceptable. The killer gets buffed for missplaying and you have sth to correct that for a moment.

But once BL is gone this perk is el busto. It will be the most annoying and unfait bs. And having it working all the time isnt helpful. And exhaustion perks like that will need adjustments anyway.

  • nice bait, but our princes is in another castle!

  • update: So im playing it for a while now and...nvm it's a visual bug. 3 minutes is the limit so even if it seems to reset everytime it doesn't. When you were 3 minutes total injured it deactivates.

  • I played LB just right now and did they already buffed it?

Every time I get full health it resets. So the only way to get it "used" aka deactivated is to be injured for 180 seconds.

  • I agree.

I think it's time now. We need something like a regression mechanic. Like something automated by the entity or by the killer. Idk why players think that's smart. If you are communicating with the team, or when the killer has someone in the grasp - okay. A change is needed so players open them.

I also think that something has to happen with the timer. Idk what but it's too short when plays are getting done. It just cuts off gameplay and the timer is supposed to make a cut when nothing is going on anymore.

  • I agree that sometimes it becomes a little bit annoying that every time you're not in a locker or 40 meters you know that the killer knows. even if you tried to reach a locker or the 39 meter. And yea sometimes I wished it wasn't in 100% of the games and I could just be anywhere without the killers knowledge.

But I also play killer and bbq fixes camping. You get a hint where someone is at and you can make a play. You can go on, go for a new chase. And I find it okay that >The< Killer who owns the map knows what's going on. He knows where to go, what to do. I dig that.

    conclusion: It's still fine

I don’t think it’s fair to put the blame back on the devs. There are a tonne of perks and options that provide information. It’s not the devs fault that, in the case of gens, there are players that don’t equip Deja Vu, Detectives Hunch, Visionary, or a map.

Since Haddonfield the base game without anything in play (perks/addons/abilities/offerings) always gave indications of where gens are. Because solo survivor is already misable enough so at least players and especially new players (the ones who keep this game alive) should have some kind of orientation and Midwich is the first map in 4 years where no help is given. No symbols (the game, lerys) no flicking lights, no closed ways. And they didnt even stated that it's intended or a bug.

In short, I'm not crazy when I say that it's the devs fault that these indicators are missing. They were always there and there is a good reason why.

And last but not least. Perks or other additional things were never a reason why something is okay or not. I give you two exambles. Insta flashlights back in the days were not okay just because Lightborn made them useless. Insta BNPs werent okay because Killer were able to insta mori you once you are downed. That wasn't a thing and it's still not a thing.

  • Call it advanced techniques. Im also always counting, The exact timer is 16 seconds. The reason the game doesn't tell you is because this mechanic was added when Dbd and the team was a small pp on the market. And it didn't seem that relevant to give that information to the killer. Nowadays I would say that the killer shouldn't see it because if he gets greedy he should get punished. You make mistakes, learn from them and you adapt.

And for the mods: I said they WERE small pp's. Also it's just true, sorry for the way I like to explain my thoughts. Shoot me.

  • Yea. Since Haddonfield (so October 2016) they added blinking lights as an indicator for an undone generator. I seriously don't get why Midwich is the only map where they didn't. Maybe license issues who knows.

For the moment the only thiing you can do is learning the map every time you get sent to it.

I'm running Detectives Hunch for multiple reasons (IS, Ruin/Undying/hex perks in general/3 gens/orientation on certain maps) so I'm pretty happy that I'm not facing so many issues with that.

Sadly, most gamers in DBD don't realize how impactful informations are. Still wondering why the Developers don't like to give solos more informations. Maybe you give Detectives a chance. It also encourages right gameplay. Do your objective in order to win the game and gain a lot of informations to become even more efficient and dangerous for the killer.

  • Which playstyle do I have? Didn't go into any detail. I'm not this type of clicky clicky bounce babys.

I see so many flaws with those types of gamers. And I most likely know what's going on in a match because of my informations I have (DH, Bond/Kindred) And they are always way too carefully. Like they would heal theirselfs another million times before they try to finish or do a gen at all. Running Selfcare and using it without even thinking about how much time they invest and how much they got off of this perk.

Doing dull totems without having Inner Strenght instead of doing actual objectives. It's so much. That's why I said: How about learning to be more cocky, risky and trying to figure out how far you can go and where the lines are and then when you found out the details how to win against good and oppressive killer, then you can go and learn how ti implement sneaky plays because it's not bad at all. I still hate it as a kilelr when I saw you doing this gen 3 seconds ago, checking everything around the gen and not be able to find you. This is very good but people just life the stealth and that's so frustrating, makes me Dcing and quitting the game for the day or switching to killer and facecamp one stealthy little...something by another.

  • Would you like to explain your question for me?

Solo's didnt even adapt to anything the last year and you expect them to adapt to 5 Hex Ruins? Man, you have dreams. Keep them.

  • How about learning to survive in a chase longer than 5 seconds and playing more cocky in order to get sth done especially when the prorgress bar is at 95%? And after you mastered play the game correct you can also learn how to self in certain situations but this time you know when it's appreciated? Because you learned how to play this game well?

God, I wish there was a MMR filter to bypass those guys...

  • a) I start running builds where I literally don't expect to win with my team. Like a locker/loot/sandbag/hatchescape build.

Something where I have some fun, not focusing on doing things right and efficient in order to carry my team to the campfire.

    b) Just doing things to grab some points and if I have a chance to kill myself on the hook I'll take this glory chance of escape. Kinda ironic. In this case, death is an escape, from those l..guys.

    c) switching to killer. I enjoy Legion and Clown very much. Survivors became as bad as Killer were in 2016 so even with Legion it's goddamn easy to make one 4k by another. And those two are pretty fun to play as (im scared for the clown rework, like him how he is now)

    d) Watching other streamers getting tilted.

  • Yea you're right. They just updated the discription but not the addon. Wouldve been neat if 3 hits were enough to down a survivor with FF. Already takes ages. Sadge

  • Because you are forced to go through pallets huh?

I think WGLF is an amazing anti slug perk. I dunno how many days I ruined today for killer.

  • Hope: Youre are filled with hope because you see a light at the end of the tunnel. Gain a 7% Haste status effect after all generators are powered until you get hooked. Does not activate when you are disabled.

When Hope is active gain a 20% increased action speed for (cleansing,) vaulting and throwing pallets.

    • I like Hope. But I don 't like the time llimit. Back then it was set at 2mins because noed was. Nowadays it should work permanently until an specific event.

Surge: Your eerie presence charges the air and interferes with technology. Putting a survivor into the dying state with your basic attack causes a regression and an additional 8% loss of progress to all generators within 32 meters.

    • No cooldown anymore. I like Surge because it's neat. I would rather see this downside on another perk like dying light to do sth totally different so we have less stacking gen slowdown perks.
  • I hate Slinger. He's the most annoying one. I just give up every game, I just don't like him. Huntresses are always campy af, at the same camping tier like a Hag for whatever reason.

Legion is fine for me, I like playing him, he's fun.

A third killer were Goofy or Freddy. Goofy bc I don't like this "snap away your TR and everything". Becomes even more annoying when you literally starring at him, into his black dark hole were people normally have a soul but even that doesn't work.

And Freddy would be fine but he has no cooldown or downsides to anything he just spüams his snares or pallets, fake ports or go for ports. You have to run across the map to gain +30 seconds jsut so he can put you to sleep immediately after a hit. Then his snares has blindness and slowdown, with thousands of slowdown perks it's just silly at some point.

I like playing him, because I know I will win no matter what. He's the only killer I have a 100% winrate. Wished there were a survivor with a 100% winrate but that would be op I guess.

  • Remember when the devs said they will refund Legacy?

Remember when the devs said they gonna buff solo q?

Remember when the devs said <we are looking into> making the new player experience better and less grind?

Me neither because it was 6 years ago.

    You gonna get it.

  • Personally, I prefer 115% because sometimes I just like to mindgame pallets and you can't do this with 4.4. But I think the next killer gonna be a 4.4ms.

  • I just like press Ready and start the game. Don't like to rely on friends. Idk it's just not interesting for me setting all this up just to play a game like dbd.

But to be fair I don't have friends playing dbd. If I had and it was easy to group up with them I would prefer swf over solo. Sometimes I choose to play with some streamers just to have a good matchmaking. We're not even in coms, just 4 good players playing a game.

  • Because devs love making base kit changes to make solo q better.

  • Oh yea especially when you try to sellout your teammates. That's always killin me lmao.

  • Headon: You can grab people out of the closet and you can also bait them pretty easy. Seems like you need more practice with that, do you?

Dead Hard: I agree that this perk is kinda problematic but it wouldnt if the devs would balance other things but I dont wanna go into too much details now.

DS: Did you ever run Decisive as survivor? I dont so huh? That's the problem of playing only one side. DS in its current state fixed tunneling for a solid bit. Killer tend to tunnel very strictly when they don't see an obsession. The obsession icon scares killer to spread the damage. And as survivor it really doesn't feel that long. Idk how often I felt like the timer was too short. And getting tunneled hard doesn't feel very awesome.

I know there are people abusing the timer but you have to ignore them. If they let you down them do it, use them as map pressure by slugging. Same with people running OoO. Just ignore them. Those kind of players wants you attention and they always will find a way to make that clear.

But enough about survivor perks. How about killer perks? Undying? Ruin? Noed? Tinkerer on some killer? ForeverFreddy? MAss8ive slwodown builds? isn't that annoying too? Oh I know a very silly perk: Franklins Demise, or better: Rancor. Not very fun perks too.

But the most annoying thing are teammates. Wished when I was the killer that I also would get the teams I always have. Would be great wouldnt it?

I can recommend you to play the other side too. Kinda the same amount. If you only play one side you get trapped in this "the other side is op and unfair" thing and don't get me wrong, you're on sth. But there is always an other point of view and it's important to know the issues on both sides.

Otherwise it becomes impossible to discuss with someone who only knows this one gameplay, only carring for himself. That's not a good base for a discussion.

  • Meg and Plague. There are other survivors where 2 perks are pretty good like David or Bill but she has 3 good perks.

Adrenaline: super strong, rewarding perk lets you heal one healthstate (downed>injured, deep wound>injured, injured and a 5 sec sprint boost.

Sprint Burst: With Dead Hard one one the best exhaustion perks and perks overall. Only if you don't use it in front of the killer, never get this move.

Quick and Quiet is a) a good bail out of a chase perk but more likely it can confuse the killer for a moment so that either you gain some more distance or he loses you for a second. And it's also great with Head On.

Corrupt Intervention is a great early game perk to lower the early game pressure by a little bit. Instead that 3 survivors immediately starts repairing the first gen they see they have to move further into the map, to you. Sometimes the blocked gens build a solid base for a 3gen strat at the end of the midgame.

Infectious Fright is for some killers very strong. Killer with a high chase potential like Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Demo or Plague herself in certain moments. You know where the others are and use your chase potential to get more people downed.

Dark Devotion isn't a meta perk but at least a solid fun perk. On some killers with specific builds you can have some silly moments. And people like perks that create funny moments for both sides.

Besides Plague I can also recommend: Nurse, Hag, Clown.

  • So you ask the devs to make sth more complicated but the effect should stay the same?

    Good luck!

  • I hear the same about camping or tunneling. Sucks yea. But you know, it's a strategy. And with some killers it works even better.

There are always two sides, friend.

  • If you didnt get stunned it was Adrenaline. When you are disabled while Adrenaline should be activated it gets holdin back. Once you are not disabled anymore Adrenaline triggers. You found out how to counter it. Sometimes when I have someone on the shoulder when the last gen poppes I drop him infront of the hook so that I can down him immediately and get rid of the adrenaline.

So next time use it to your advantage.

  • Demo and Pig

Pig has a game slow down, but it's not too oppressive. She also has a chance mechanic which leaves her some room of counterplay. Not on very safe pallets but we are also livin in an era where pallets gets some nerfs to be more counterable so good for her. And she has a tool to sneak on survivors. That's very good for some free hits, or to find the sneaky ones.

Overall she's pretty fair, leaves a lot of potential and counterplay. And if she lets you boop the snoot she's the cutiest.

Demo is pretty nice because he has mobiility, but you still have some counterplay to it while it also buys you some time as a kilelr when survivor cleanse your portals. You have a great chase tool which can shortens alot of loops.Saddenly most changes will shorten the loops anyway which will make it way more difficult landing a shred as demo.

He has a solid mobility and a great and fair chas emechanic. He isn't oppressive but also has a realistic chance to get 2 or more good survivor.

for me "balanced" means that something is fair and probably fun for both sides. And I like these two. With both you really earn your kilsl what makes it feel way more. And in a world were tunneling and camping wouldnt be that bad, survivors were more coordinated and had less of bail out of all out your mistakes perks, these two killers were the sh.t

  • So I can tell you this rule is one of the oldest rule in the unwritten book but I stopped being that smart bc no one ever does stop struggeling.

So when I do it and enjoy watching them dying I dont feel that frustrated anymore when others do it.

I gave up in so many points. Playing this game since its release and survivors are still incredibly...un..smart. Im old in dbd ya know. I enjoy things like unhooking in front of the killer without BT and them getting downed instandly. It is so funny.

Im not a bad guy but you know when a team is that bad that ir doesnt matter how good you are, you will lose. And the killer will hook you right next to the hatch and headbanging you.

Things are easier in dbd when you give up and just enjoy whatever makes you feel satisfyed.

  • You would find out that it's just a another perk combo. I dont play them usually because O already used those two perks back in 2017 so it's nothing special anymore.

But from time to time when killer are especially annoying for some games it feels good having a counter to some specifc playstyles.

    So

    Go nuts I guess

  • Except

Youre running WGLF this perk is nuts on slugs. Especially with WWM.

But also keep in mind that in some situations or under specific conditions it's way smarter to instandly start recovering.

In general yea. But bc I am running healing build I will run at you and pick you up faster than the killer realizes it. But only when he dont picks you up after a couple of seconds depending on the distance to you, your hook stage progress and my gen progress.

  • First perk

Way too strong. Prove Thyself/Resilience/Streetwise/ the new perk where your item comes back/ best toolbox

So big no on that one. Maybe an increased chance for skill checks so you have to earn the 1% bonus but even that... dont underrate Resilience.

    Second perk:

Good killer wont lose you bc of missing scratchmarks. I always look down for the blood. Scratchmarks are more likely an indicator and if you already have a chase you dont nessecary need them. So if you try to hide the protected survivor then you have to work with sounds and blood. ... and a big cooldown.

    Third perk:

Imagine being deep wounded, getting healed by adrenaline, running at 164% ms bc of this perk and hope while also being enduranced and 114% fast for at least 90 secs.

Big no on that one too. We already have Hope as a perk and Adrenaline for an extra heal state and speedboost.

Conclusion? 2 of these perks are already in the game just a lil bit different. Maybe change them a bit

  • Here a list

    Borrowed Time

    Decisive Strike

    Soul Guard

    Unbreakable

    Adrenaline

    Iron Will

    Sprint Burst / Dead Hard

Selfcare / Botany Knowledge / Desperate Measures

    Bond

    Kindred

    Detectives Hunch

    All very good solo perks.

  • Rip bloodpoints, time to play efficient again =/

  • I cant speak for others but after years of needing a confirmations from the survivors to finally go on to next game

It's nice to just go afk for a minute and not giving the survivors the satisfaction to tbag at me and not even giving me some free points.

So from my pov: leave when you won, I already know that I cant do anything anymore.

  • If there is one I do a totem, then I run through the map so that maybe the killer finds me first (i know how to chase, better for the team) or I either do a middle gen or I look for a 3 gen combo to break it first.

  • Very fun when 9/10 situations are like you have to wait and look players getting done with objectives. And alsp dont having any tools in a chase to end it faster.

And I can imagine new players who are nowadays in every rank had fun too because he always new were you are. It negated any kind of stealth gameplay.

Old freddy was bad designed. The only good thing about him was, when you were a decent survivor you could make jokes on him because he wasnt an opponent more like "naww, look at this lil boi, tryin to kill people. But hes so small and weak."

I just wished he wouldnt be that oppressive anymore. That or singleplayer baseline changes to make it valid.

  • 48 hrs? So after you took a day off (23hrs) you came in, played some games and...dced again? And left your teammates alone once again?

So you refuse to learn that your behaviour is bad and you also refuse to learn why the game is increasing the penalty for you?

Great conditions to start a discussion.

I have a hint: after 2 days, dc again and look if the penalty decreases now. If so you did everything right, if not just try again. Take your time. Some people need more time to learn and others not. And thats fine. I mean. Some people have to be the ones who find out if there is a cap or not, right.

  • Dude do you fully listening or just as long as you need it?

    They literally said

"We are looking into stats to see if there is sth we have to look at"

"If people claim sth not fun or fair, we are looking into it"

"We also see the potential of things and understand when sth very strong needs to be hidden behind a high skill level, or not (nurse for ex.)

    And then guys like you

OMG THE DEVS JUST LOOK AT STATS ######### NERF/BUFF SO AND SO

Because the devs didnt just stated 5 minutes earlier that they cant and dont want every killer equal strong. There are differences and potentials and some of them are higher than the others.

God damn are people..special, these days.

  • Hex perks were designed to be OP but breakable.

But not 5 times. So nerf any hex perk so if it lasts throughout the whole match bc of undying pr nerf it. Or change base game mechanicd aka make the singleplayer that much better that players can handle fun like that.

  • Chat is off, I just go on. Playing since release so I dont give a poop anymore about random nerds being random. Never happy, mostly not nice or fair. Mostly thinking they did all right and the others not. No gg, nothing anymore.

  • You were surprised how many survivor gaming feeling the exact same just with the killer bug fixes.

They dont care if it's a survivor or killer bug. It depends on many factors like how complicated is the bug, how impactful is the bug, could a bug make it to a feature, is there a big interest in the community to fix that afap. Just so much dude.

  • @Hlidskialf said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1708729#Comment_1708729

I made a big post on the 10th page but let me say it again.

I lost 25600 with is 100 levels or 1 devotion. With the 10k back i'll still 15600 loss which is more than 50 levels or half a devotion.

So yeah, i'm not going to be happy with the 10k. And a lot of people said that iri shard are FREE so you don't need to complain but well, yeah they are free so why they can't refund a FREE currency? hmm?

That's all, i'm just trying to explain the clearly. Thanks.

Okay that's your point of view and it's also valid. But the point of view of devs is how to make sure that people who wants to get refunded don't try to cheat 'em.

Look at Legacy. It's probably the most worst exclusive they've released ever. So many problems with that and people who earned it and lost it still did not get refunded because the devs wants a consitent functioning system to find out if you're right or not.

And they don't have anything reliable.

So the only way to find a compromise is to bind some shards to a redeemable code but this one would be for everyone and it wouldn't be as high as you want/need it to because it still would be for everyone.

So the only way to mitigate is to ask very friendly for a public code with idk 4k shards and that would be for everyone an awesome thing.

Asking for a refund won't do anything

  • Just realized the welcome back now. Thanks man. Never thought someone would notice me in the fog.
