Comms in any team game is a boost. They need to balance and implement/update the game as such.
-
I'm honestly curious about these strats I've looped bubba by windows but getting one to tantrum the guy has to be brain dead.
So what downsides does his chainsaw have I've seen bubba's swerve and circle like a car in an action movie.
-
As a survivor main I don't see why they just don't nerf it into the ground I mean it is only used for Laurie adept and toxic survivors. You can see the killers aura for 10 seconds then it has a 600sec cool down
-
Deathslinger for those oh so satisfying pro shots. Blight and Oni for that rush beat down. Pig and Ghostface for the jump scares

I don't even know what set Elodie got for Christmas as the only ones worth looking at were Krampus, Dwelf-In-A-Box, and Ace Viscontree. Either way, I still haven't seen Elodie more than 5 times since the chapter was released; haven't played against The Twins once; only played on Ormond once by bringing an offering. As it currently stands, A Binding of Kin is the worst chapter released for DBD. The killer is terrible, the survivor is terrible, and we get two realm reworks instead of a new map, Autohaven not even being a good rework.
And what's the point in popping off against Yui? She's the fifth most-played female survivor, behind Claud, Meg, Nea, and Kate (and in that order). Elodie is currently the least played female survivor. That will undoubtedly change, but not by much. She will most likely get third to last, only above Laurie and Jane.
Here's the full list, from most played to least:
Claudette
Meg
Nea
Kate
Yui
Feng
Cheryl
Zarina
Nancy
Jane
Laurie
Elodie
This is from my own experience. Cheryl and Zarina go back and forth, but the rest are in their correct position. Elodie will be stuck near the bottom because of her bad perks and annoying voice acting.
Yeah each experience is different I see Elodie about in the middle more than Jane, Sarina, Laurie, Nancy. Definitely on the lower end but not at the bottom.

I know, you’re first thought is “that would make this pay-to-win!”, so something like this should EXCLUSIVELY apply to cosmetics that can be bought with iridescent shards.
Now, with that out of the way, I think it would be fun for certain (not all) cosmetics to have very minor effects in very specific situations. Just off the top of my head:
- Survivor face masks slightly increase the time to become Broken from the Plague’s vile purge
- Killers with pustula ooze get an extra 5% regression speed when kicking gens
- Survivor tennis shoes get an extra 0.2 seconds from exhaustion speed bursts.
It'd be a neat bonus to charms but I hate tier cosmetics.

Its an annoying and unfun mechanic. I haven't liked it at all since I started playing the game. It honestly should be passive and a prompt should come up saying "press spacebar to give up" instead of having to press it or whatever keybind you have to it over and over.
A prompt to give up would be ideal. I understand they want to just give up on first hook but they should have a notification to their team and make them stick through a portion of the struggle process possibly. That could be an issue I know I sacrifice on the hook when my teammate finds the hatch and I feel generous.
-
I think a simple global notification that you are exposed would be sufficient at the EGC. This would put survivors on pause on opening the exit gates and encourage them to find the totem probably cause a new fad on undying and NOED.
-
I mainly play survivor and I'll get a lot of heat for this but they need to increase the amount of time it takes to finish a gen solo. Now my idea to balance it is to decrease the time it takes to finish a gen each time a survivor is killed.
I know people say that dbd wasn't originally designed as co-op or whatever but it's been implemented and that's where the devs need to focus on moving towards buffing is working together.
Yes it'll make working with potatoes near impossible but it'll promote teamwork. I just don't think the whole requirement that I have to have this perk to have a chance of winning is good and that's for both sides killers stacking gen regression and survivors with meta perks. Hell having a gen completion speed boost after dead survivors could in fact deter camping/tunnelling more so tunneling then camping.

please break your nda and risk your job to ease my curiosity for features to assist colorblind people
its an impossible standard to expect someone to want to risk their job 24/7 to answer your questions that borderline can break your nda
That's what is really messed up is that instead of being able to tell people something developers are constricted from saying due to NDA they don't even give them a cliche generic line to respond to imply that they can't say anything about it like when police say "we can't comment on an ongoing investigation"
-
@bjorksnas said:
Lets just hold game devs to impossible standards while badgering them the whole time with questions they can't answer or they can get fired, fined, or sued, and expect them to be happy seeing you ask it for the 18th time
I understand your response and agree that today things have gotten a bit out of hand. But requesting a colorblind mode is far from an insulting request from a developer. I don't doubt that there may have been people who were mean when requesting this but honestly like all things with a majority of game developers they lack communication. I doubt colorblind mode was a recent request. These people are asking for it because they enjoy their game not dissing on their developing. A simple "We're working towards implemeting it and will update when we're closer to completion" would have been an easy painless response. Hell if it was his personal stream he could have said he won't be answering any development related questions.
-
I'd say leave it visible so only the killer knows which totem it is.

Wait and see what the live version will look like. Many people gave this kind of feedback and there will be changes made once the new HUD hits live
Yeah let's hope they take some feedback on it because the additions are nice and I'm grateful for that just like I mentioned before not a fan of the layout.
-
The new HUD is too spread out. I like the reduced size to generator icon and character portraits but having to look in 4 places instead of 2 is a bad move personally.
-
Top 3: Pig, Ghost face, and a 3 way tie between Deathslinger/Blight/Oni.
Least: Demogorgon/Hillbilly/Doctor

I've seen plenty of posts asking survivors to leave. I've never seen a post asking survivors to stick around so the killer can "pwetty pwease get one more wittle bittie hit" (to be read in baby voice).
Please leave, you aren't being altruistic by sticking around as a group. I'm all for blood point penalties as the timer ticks down.
It's like a 1% chance that a survivor is trying to be nice at the exit gate I agree. I only wait at the exit gate if the person was being a jerk or if my teammates aren't there and haven't escaped. Reducing bloodpoints because of it would encourage just leaving people that are hooked at the EGC which would suck. I mean a way they could possibly work around that is the reduced bloodpoints are paused when a survivor is hooked or in a chase but even then if a survivor forgot where an exit gate was they're getting screwed. They could have it where it's reduced when you are only in the exit gate area but it really doesn't change much you'd just have them right outside it'd be slightly better but not fix it.
-
From what I saw from the screenshot the ui is all over the place seems kind of hectic.
-
I think they should be focusing on the content in the bloodweb the perks are a bit of distraction and they shouldn't be the main focus honestly. There's an insane amount of time commitment to get to a full game experience. I mean think about it hypothetically if someone were to purchase this game and all characters along with it how long would it take to get all perks on one character.
-
I'd like more options to wake up. As of right now you're asleep within a minute and Freddy is buffed because of it no work needed.

Update: I ran some tests earlier with a local friend so the ping was super low.
It's a latency issue and not a hitbox issue. Not a single hit was off no matter how we tested it; so long as the ping was fine.
I then tested with an australian friend; and sure enough the windows were bad again; so it is a latency issue apparently.
Okay that makes sense it's more the type of net code they use to handle latency.

No, if you land you are usually safe unless the window is not that high. It's about half the fall distance on most higher up ledges.
It also doesn't seem to be too much of a problem with like just plain drops afaik; it's literally just vault windows for some reason.
I think it's because it does something wonky with your hitbox during the time when you vault or something, I am not entirely sure without seeing the dev data.
My guess with vaulting it keeps the survivors hurtbox in the window until the animation is fully completed and maybe a little bit afterwards.
-
I play probably 80/20 survivor/killer.
I main Ash/Felix survivor
Killers: Oni/Blight/Deathslinger/Clown/Pig/
Ghostface
Killer I don't have one because I like a lot of them.
-
How about a 2% increase to wiggle speed and/or increase wiggle amount gained when dropped.
-
Yes the counter to the cannibal is always having a window nearby and leave your teammates on the hook or just hope he sucks.
-
A mod can probably close this thread. I was thinking nemesis.

P3 for only Ash and Felix I might go for Elodie. Killers I have yet to prestige any :(

At this point they should've allowed kb and mouse support for console
I thought xbox supported m&kb? Or is it game restricted?

Jeff has passive-aggressive perks and Ace has plunderer perks, neither are particularly useful without other perks, so why not try another character?
I usually play Ash/Felix. the survivors I don't have are Adam/Quintin/Jeff/Ace/Feng/Cheryl. Adam I got deliverance/diversion from the shrine and have no interest in Quintin.

Honestly with survivors losing add ons now whether the item is used or not, Ace In The Hole is useless. The fact that toolboxes have been destroyed makes searching chests a lot less worthwhile now. It's funny because they thought gens went too fast because of toolboxes and now I never search chests anymore and just do gens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think Jeff has better perks between the two of them but neither have perks worth using compared to other survivors.
@APoipleTurtle said:
Jeff has Aftercare... so Jeff.
Thank you both that's what I was leaning towards since I'm creeping up on 9000 iridescent shards

Yeah real life serial killers they'd just be asking for trouble. Killers based on other forms of entertainment such as comics/novels would be neat but probably wouldn't have the infamy to make good sales where people would spend real money on them.

everyone is fine with DS an anti tunneling perk
only survivor mains are fine with 60 seconds of invincibility
the killer absolutely demolishing a team ie 2+ hooks in the same minute and going back to hook the nearest survivor after hooking 2 others should not trigger DS. DS needs deactivation conditions badly we can buff it with all the other things you want like 2 uses, increased time longer stun or whatever but it desperately need to deactivate after the killer hooks another survivor
60 seconds for DS and I'm a survivor main. Granted when playing killer and I'm feeling spiteful I'll slug wait the 1min and hook.

I actually like this build, but with flip flop instead. The cant hook me build
On Occasion I'll run
Tenacity, Unbreakable, Flip-flop, Boil Over

Unfortunately neither am I. Only works if you never get caught and the killer likes to slug

I can't tell if you're joking or not?
It only works if you're a MLG pro at DBD
-
That build is horrible you should try this one instead
No Mither
Tenacity
Resilience
This is not Happening
-
Lol that would be awesome.
-
Yeah I think they should add that it effects downed pallets and windows with a 24m range and test it out. It's not hard to get 24m away and the cool down should balance it.

Yeah, that brings up a good point for most rounds. However this specific round I'm referring to was a farm map, so no excuses lol.
Yeah all you have to really do if tilt your camera up a bit and you have no problem finding gens
-
It can vary I mean you got the people that won't do gens when they hear the terror radius or you could unknowingly bring the killer towards them. A few I thought of is also people not knowing where gens are and they'll just crouch towards the ones they see. On indoor maps I'm a bit more understanding.
-
True I've sand bagged many a match to get a rift as survivor.
-
Off topic but quick question DS is automatically activated so you could tunnel off first hook to get them to use it up correct?
-
Yeah those were my assumptions as well seemed a little too much required for a very situational benefit.
-
I mostly play survivor but funny enough I've gotten more negative feedback from other survivors than killers. Although killers have to learn their power survivors also have to learn how to counter it and that's all of the killers not just the one you're playing as.

A T-L Wall Maze Tile. It's one of the original generic loop tiles commonly seen in most realms. It's also the only generic tile in DbD to have two windows.
Thanks
