One specific map, I can't remember the name off the top of my head, has a blockable basement. It's the one with that small shack across the map from the log cabin, an azarovs one I think

I mean DH is part of the small but almost mandatory category of exhaustion perks.
And Survivors only have 3 good ones so no wonder DH has a huge pickrate
I dont use DH, am often the last survivor, or the one saving the team.
Ya'll need to stop thinking exhaustion is required.

I still think it would be original stuff, just inspired by the universe if it makes sense.
Forged in Fog is based on License content, but it is an entirely original character and design. Even Ghostface did something like that. I think they might do something like that again since it seems to work for BHVR.
Forged in fog was originally licensed, then that broke down; so instead of scrapping the idea so close to release and rushing, they just redesigned him and sold him as original.

um? Cause survivors got kicked in the face when
DS, Boil over, iron will, Object of obsession, mettle of man, keys, insta heals, we’ll make it, balanced landing, exhaustion, sprint burst, self care, flashlights, toolboxes, entity blockers ALL got nerfed.
Oh but when killers one actually op perk gets nerfed its automatically WAHH WAHH they never nerf survivors they always listen to them!!! WAHH IM SO UPSET!! Grow the ######### up
DS: Took a few years
Boil Over: Better than it's original form
Iron will: Again, long time coming.
Object of Obsession: A better version that even alerts you to the killers location if they see you
Mettle of Man: I think even the survivors kicked this one. No one enjoyed it.
Keys: technically never got a nerf, the hatch did, but somewhat still valid
We'll make it: When was this nerfed?
Balanced landing: Still does quite a bit of stagger reduction and isnt useless like every killer perk in recent times.
Exhaustion: Valid
Sprint Burst: Again, hasn't been nerfed since the exhaustion change, dont double dip here to pad lists.
Self Care: This one actually confuses me a lot. I heard survivors complain that it was useless, and it got nerfed still. I dunno what to think about this one. Incompetence?
Flashlights: Boohoo you can't give people seizures for your enjoyment.
Toolboxes: Not a nerf. In fact new version is pretty neat and allows for emergency speedy repairs.
Entity Blockers: Are a ######### joke. I looped a wesker on one building because the blockers are so ######### easy to trick into not spawning.
Killers getting perks buffed, only to be nerfed to the ground is a consistent pattern that keeps happening, and I'm starting to become pretty confident its deliberate, though I dont know why.

Gen time should never be touched by perks/item.
Prove thyself should be nerfed a tiny bit.

In this kinda case I often down then carry the survivor to a hook before just picking them up and dropping them till they escape, then they can nick off and look for hatch while i kick pallets/gens/use power etc.

Wow, so you made a human (cause you know killers are played by actual people) so angry, they dc’d. And you find that pleasing? Hmm.
I didn't be toxic, I just managed to legitimately loop him to the point of a ragequit. Blame MMR if you want

I've defeated these before. Best way is just grapple spam to it.

Just made a whesker rage quit cause I was looping him hard while fully infected as well.

I've seen people complaining about Calm Spirit here a few times
"A perk should never remove means for the killer to find a survivor, crows are important"
I'm not even joking
While usually I'd agree, Calm Spirit only denies info that killers may not even use in the first place. Distortion, on average, would block more info than Calm Spirit, with only a few exceptions.

While its neat, its most likely original due to no other mentions of copywrite except Behaviour's

Actually you may be right. Unless they've simply reused assets across teams, thats the exact same blade sound used in meet your maker

I don't believe this is a cyborg killer, I think it's fully robotic. The heavy metal footsteps in the background suggest that to me
-
-
Wraith has an addon that causes that, are you sure he did not have it equipped?
-
This isn't fair at all when you take into consideration that (on average) there are 4 survivors to every killer, so of course the vote would skew in their favor.
Prepare for no killers to play for this period.
-
It's lowkey kinda OP, but in a blanket kind of way, which might allow BHVR to up the power of weaker killers without having to worry about solo queue.

Some people are just so mad that I'm genuinely baffled why they keep playing. It's clearly bad for their mental health if they are being so angry.
I played as barebone Nurse on Father Campbell's Chapel. I played fair and non toxic. They still gave up anyway. After the game 2 survivors were pretty salty, told me that they'll report me (as if me playing Nurse is reportable lol) and both of them left me nice comments afterwards too.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D3R3AH651XE1/guysbemad.png
I cannot take clowns like these serious. Telling me that they'll report me (for whatever reason) but then proceed to wish my family a very bad illness plus insults. Like are they even using their brain for one minute? I could have literally reported them for harassment and that could have had some serious consequences. I obviouls deleted those, they don't deserve to have a plattform on my profile.
report them on steam kek
-
As long as it doesn't make you immune to killer instinct in any way.
-
the auto activation is what balances sprint burst. Every boost exhaustion perk in the game is the same but with a different requirement. Lithe is windows, balanced landing is falling, smash hit is stunning the killer. Sprint burst is the only one that is always available, and so it's balance by being automatically activated by running.

it affects your own ability to see, thereby hindering your ability to stalk...
Physical objects hinder your ability to stalk. The mist isnt a physical object.
-
The first two are planned, what we have is version 1 of the AI, eventually they're meant to be able to use certain perks and killer AI will eventually be added. In fact, survivor bots currently can use a circle of healing a player sets up, and will even seek it out to heal

You can't stalk properly in mist. Ghosty doesn't like it one bit.
Mist doesnt alter your ability to stalk in any way, so I'd say thats just a placebo effect for you

Waiting for hatch isn’t against the rules (I believe Mandy stated such a couple months back). Deliberating playing in a griefing or trolling way is. Survivors don’t have to complete gens to advance the trial. They can wait for hatch and play as selfishly as they want and that is perfectly fine. Peanits specifically said survivors can play for themselves if they want. Slugging for a 4K is closer to breaking that rule you’re referencing than a survivor waiting for hatch.
Also the fact that the game can put them in a situation where doing gens is a guaranteed loss doesnt help

Any solution basically has to give people a good reason to not tunnel or camp. Considering that the absolute best strategy as Killer is to get a 3v1 ASAP, that incentive would need to be MASSIVE.
There is no incentive that will convince the majority of the playerbase. They tunnel and camp because it's easy and effective. The only thing that would get them to stop is by making it no longer the easiest nor most effective strategy, which would require you to basically fundamentally re-balance the game.
This.
The core way the game works encourages it. Against a competent survivor group, most killers will struggle unless they remove someone.
DbD is in a weird state where 4 survivors is potentially too much for a killer to handle, but 3 is too easy.

Personally I hate boon totems, but ok, survivors have 1 (one) perk, which can be understood as OP by some, as it allows unlimited healing.
Admittedly, it's often overlooked that in order to have value with COH you have to:
- Take the time to find a totem
- Take the time to boon the totem
- Take the time to heal yourself.
- If you are far from the boon, you still have to take the time to get to the totem.
In my personal opinion, a Bond is much stronger, because then you just have to find another survivor to heal you.
But ok, let the survivors have an "OP" COH.
And the killers, as I mentioned above, have infinite Eruption uses for the whole match after one generator kick, have regression perks that overlap each other (CoB + Overcharge), Call of Brine includes practically a whole other perk in addition to regression - Surveillance, besides that we have Jolt or a Pain Res + DMS combination, and besides that the killers got an extra 10 seconds to do generators.
I can go for a deal that COH, Hyperfocus (<2% usage) or Quick Gambit (<1% usage) would get a nerf, but the killers would have all bullcrap combos I wrote above nerfed, if this makes games "balanced".
- Take the time to find a totem
Nope. Players skilled enough to actually make use of COH also know where the totems will spawn in a map. This is largely a nonissue.
- Take the time to boon the totem
Same amount of time as destroying it (unless aalready hexed) with outcomes that can easily save more time than spent to make it
- Take the time to heal yourself.
Again, faster that Self Care, a perk who's sole ability is to let you, and only you, self heal. You also forget it works on healing others
- If you are far from the boon, you still have to take the time to get to the totem.
Again, usually a non-issue since it's a rather large range (that ignores verticality too), and is often set up near where the action is but just out of the killer's patrol route..

No. People need to stop asking for punishments. Punishments are spiteful and NOT FIXES.
Such as a bit lower speed when chasing someone that has been unhookedOh good. So now the unhooked can bodyblock with BT AND slow me down! No! Gods no!
or a blind effect when hooking the same survivor againAgain; No! Because, AGAIN, Survivors will bodyblock with BT and be secure in the knowledge that I literally CANNOT HOOK THEM without being punished. Easy to abuse. No!
Survivors need to understand that tunneling is just the Killer version of playing efficiently.
Until Survivors are punished for focusing gens; Killers cannot, should not, and WILL NOT BE punished for tunneling. Ever.
To add on
Such as a bit lower speed when chasing someone that has been unhookedOh good. So now the unhooked can bodyblock with BT AND slow me down! No! Gods no!
Especially with how weird the game can be with chases, it could slow you down even if youre chasing the other guy just cause you started running first and got the chase.
or a blind effect when hooking the same survivor againAgain; No! Because, AGAIN, Survivors will bodyblock with BT and be secure in the knowledge that I literally CANNOT HOOK THEM without being punished. Easy to abuse. No!
If I just downed you, I know where the hook is. Doesn't matter anyway. If anything more reason to slug if I don't know, and if I can't see gens after hooking I aint going anywhere.

Hackers cannot move or chose where hatch spawns. Thats decided before they have any input in the first place (apart from blueprints)

As a PSA, I’m a survivor main that plays a bit of killer from time to time. I have wanted basically this exact update for quite some time as far as bringing solo queue’s quality up a bit. However, this will be a massive buff for survivors, and I think it’s effect may be being underestimated. I predict that killers are about to start experiencing mostly 1k’s due to this buff. So the question is, how will killer’s be buffed to compensate?
This is one of the few times I agree with BHVR's philosophy; lets wait and see first. It increases the power of solo queue of course, but it might not be worth compensating for.

Are you seriously implying that the perk is more pointless because infinite head on stuns are removed? I'm completely lost.
Flashlight locker blinds. Iron Maiden would throw off timing. At least I'm assuming thats what he's on about.
-
Desperation
Your desperation allows you to cheat the entity, if only for a time.
Upon reaching the third hook state, automatically escape the hook, with a 15/22.5/30 second timer. Running and being in the killers terror radius will drain it at 1s/s (not stacking), while doing objectives will refill it (at 0.5s/s)
If this timer reaches 0, or the survivor enters the dying state by any means, they are instantly sacrificed to the entity (using the same animation as EGC).
Note: Maybe a survivor suffering from this glows like the ground in the EGC to other survivors?

@FFirebrandd said:
So... couple things.
First, post unhook endurance does have counters. You can wait it out and grabs completely bypass the effect.
Second, the patch that made that endurance effect be base kit also added 10 seconds to each generator, gave killers faster kicking gens and pallets, faster recovery from successful hits, shorter post hit speed boosts for Survivors, and a bit of instant regression when kicking gens.
I don't know which side came out on top with that patch, but it isn't nearly as cut and dried as you are portraying.
Same with this patch honestly. Yeah... Nurse is getting nerfed, but the Knight is getting some pretty nifty looking buffs and new Eyre of Crows looks a lot less mean to killers.
"Nerfed"
7 blink nurse says otherwise. And while the Knights buffs are nifty, they don't really change much; the guards still feel like they dont offer enough for how long they exist. I'd have rathered that they made all the guards have the same chase timer as the carnifex, and made the jailer block pallets/windows near him while chasing than these buffs.
-
If theres a three gen the survivors havent done their job right; they gave the killer a three gen. You've basically screwed yourself over and blamed anything but yourself. Pathetic.
-
If they wanna fix holding Victor hostage just constantly pulse said survivor with killer instinct instead of making them immune to it. Now it's a risk to hold onto them because Charlotte knows where you are at all times.
-
@Batusalen said:
The problem with hex perks is the placement of the totems themselves. Many totems are just at plain sight or even close to generators, where it's impossible to miss them even if you are not looking for them. And the game has the bad tendency of just putting the hex in the most visible totem the map could have spawned.
So, either rework the totem placement in map generation where they are in places hard to see, or show killers the aura of dull totems at the start of the match and let the killers place the hex where they want as survivor can do with their boons.
Also, purple? Aren't they orange? 😅
I think hexes shouldnt light until they're in effect. Ruin wont proc till a generator is let go of, undying wont proc till a different totem procs, fevour doesnt proc until 1 token is added to it etc. They kinda do it with face the darkness ffs.
Only exception could be haunted grounds

So what are survivors supposed to do here? I've been told if two survivors are left and one gets downed the other needs to try to save the survivor even if the killer is camping the slugged team mate.
I've been reported supposedly for breaking DBD rules because I waited for an opportunity to save my team mate but the killer was constantly hovering around the body until they died.
If it's a 2v1 and they're camping the slg just hide. You're going to get ######### for it, but it's either that and you escape or give the killer a free kill

Let's just squash the survivor conspiracy theories involving bringing maps and "tactical advantage" right here. Yes the RNG on maps is terrible, for both sides. When me and my friends bring a map offering its so we don't get Auto haven/MacMillian for the millionth time. BHVR's random map selection logarithm seems to be horribly broken and has been for years.
You can also bring in a green offering that kills any map offerings brought in by other players if it bothers you that much.
sacrificial wards are one of the rarest items in the game due to being green rarity. that's a no.

There's a lot of resentment towards skilled play in the community. Playing smart on survivor is referred to as "gen rushing" or "holding W". A lot of players lose their minds when survivors play smart and don't feed a free 4k.
Gen rushing is not playing smart, kinda. It references the fact that a killer who does everything efficiently will still lose absurds amount of gens before being able to do anything.
Holding W is a jab at the issue, rather than the survivor, where most abilities or killers can be countered by running in a straight line.

This is the third round of cosmetics that they've put in the store now that will be only available for a limited time before being seemingly removed permanently for purchase (An educated guess, as BHVR has not clarified this in any fashion); BHVR seriously needs to acknowledge what this new FOMO business model is about, as pressuring players into buying cosmetics in a limited timeframe to compensate for the in-progress conversion of all non-licensed cosmetics to being available with Iri Shards is not okay. They have every right to as a business tactic, but it's shifty and underhanded, doubly so to just try and sneak it in without acknowledgement.
Mandy has clarified in another PST that they will be seasonal.

When a power circumvents a condition put in place to make sure it's not broken powerful, thats abuse. Synergy would be closer to Nurses where she still has to be out of range and blink in, which might not work out or she can miss a blink.
