Sole Survivor is fine as is. The only thing I'd like added is an indicator that it's hiding my aura, but apart from that it has saved me many times.

Matchbox is fun especially paired with Jenner, but Spasmodic isn't that fun to use it just feels so limiting and essentially turns you into an m1 killer without an ability. Kind of like Huntress's one addon where she is out of hatchets, but even more limiting, it triggers at the worst times and you only really get value out of it sometimes it's just not fun to use at all.
If you had more of a way to trigger like some input on when it is used other than just hitting a blink attack maybe it would be useful, but rn I don't see it ever being that fun except for the people who enjoy playing m1 killers without an ability lamo.
I mean huntress' one is alright. If you run out of hatchets, plus 5% movement speed; lets her keep a chase up if she cant afford to reload at the moment, and can throw survivors off.

Dead Hard Nerf. In theory a good thing. Because its been of the longest meta perks in the game and we really need to see a shake up in the meta to make the game more exciting for both sides.
But.. The new Dead Hard only activates after Unhooks. And you know what that means right? The Killer will do what a lot of them are already doing, facecamp. Now its even more of an advantage for the Killer to camp, because this way you will prevent people from using Dead Hard against you. Meaning that as long as you facecamp ( lets say with bubba ) you are always able to swing into survivors early, because they cant possibly have dead hard. And Bubba is a Killer that is 100% capable of preventing an unhook.
I think it will be optimal to run 2 exhaustion perks including dead hard, because non-exhaustion perks are so weak in comparison that you still want to have the potential to use it eventually. And thats not fun to run, even if its the best build, you get me ? I want a variety of perks to be equally good.
You do realize that if you were face camping in the first place Dead Hard practically didn't even affect you? This is a null point.

I just played vs a 3 gen demogorgon in solo que and it was miserable. He wasn't that good but by holding a 3 gen he managed to win. And its only gonna get worse with the killer buffs. Pain res buffed, hillbilly buffed, gearhead buffed, dead hard and coh nerfed to the ground. I lost almost everygame in soloque. Facecamping and tunneling already have no counterplay as it is and then killers hit on the hook for some reason. I find killer pretty easy and i win most of my matches. I want a challenge please.
Also p.s delete feng min from the game, Thank you!
"Pain res buffed"
You're either fear mongering or completely missing the fact it got nerfed and this still doesnt bring it anywhere near its power before. Hillbilly is weak already, and his "buff" basically already had 0 impact unless you're already stomping him in the first place.
"I find killer very easy and I win most of my matches" Congrats, you're playing killer for the first time, cause you obviously not seen the hell that is mid-high MMR.

So, by that definition We'll make it is overpowered then.
difference is thats specifically a timed period after an unhook. It can only activate at most 6 timesa match by a single survivor, 8 if 2+ survivors are running it

SCPs would be awesome. SCP-096 and SCP-049 were the ones I was most scared of running into, so I would definitely vote either of them in as a new killer if possible.
SCP-096 is the tall white one that charges you indefinitely if you look at him.
SCP-049 is the Plague Doctor.
SCPs will be hard to implement for legal reasons. Ever wonder why most SCP games are free? It's because most if not all SCPs do have actual creators and owners, and attempting to monetize them without consent of their original creators is illegal (however, their license allows their usage in "free" products)
The only SCP even somewhat immune to this is 173, and thats the concept itself only (as 173 originated on 4chan where everyone is anonymous and no one can prove it was their idea), the actual design that we all know and love of 173 would need to be changed since the original artist of 173's art (which was not created specifically for 173) has explicitly stated they do not and will not give permission for that design in paid for things.
If you go for the face of SCP itself, 173, then you risk players being upset and disappointed in the redesign required to use them. If you use any other SCP, BHVR would need to go through a bunch of hoops to get it approved by the original creators. The only chance of an SCP coming to DBD is if the creator of an SCP stepped forward and asked to add them to the game, and if BHVR agrees.
Believe me, as much as I'd love to see SCP in DBD, its not going to happen.

People nowadays wouldn't care as much as the more mainstream things.
Stranger Things was very mainstream when the chapter came out, Resident Evil started making their remakes, Halloween was still making movies... that's not the case for all of them, like Pinhead, Silent Hill, etc. They were just heavily suggested by the players. From other medias though, creepypasta characters would be it for me.
Jeff The Killer would be awesome, but his power would fit more in with the Legion than anyone else.
Sirenhead, he could imitate sounds that survivors make to lull them into a false sense of security, and when he finds a survivor, his siren sounds.
On that note, way back when legion was new I had taken a break from DbD. Came back (without doing any research about the game, just reinstall and play), jump straight into a survivor game with a friend, and I ######### you not the first thing I said when I saw the legion was "Is that ######### Jeff the Killer?!"

NGL Deadlock is peak braindead gameplay.
Literally no interaction or input from the Killer whatsoever for maximum effectiveness, and I've been of the same opinion since its release.
Needs to have some kind of interaction, EG: When the Obsession is Hooked, the Generator with the most progress is blocked by the Entity for x/y/z.
I think like 90% of the point is no interaction. It's meant to be a flat stall to give the killer info on which gen is most likely to pop, and give them a few seconds to do something about it. Interaction after the fact, rather than to trigger it, otherwise it's a pretty useless perk

You don't seem to be getting the message that a player healing themselves is intentionally weaker than altruistic healing. They nerfed medkits and circle of healing specifically for that purpose. Why would they buff self care? That would completely defeat the point.
We get that, its just self care is super weak even pre-nerfs, now theres no reason to even look at it. We're not asking to make it the next CoH, just give it some use, even if it's in the form of earned charges you can heal with (for the 24 seconds of self healing, not the 16 of altruistic) rather than permanent self healing.

Different platform isnt an excuse; you can lobby with other platforms no issue and isnt an indicator that they arent a squad (plus windows/epic/steam all show this icon for eachother too).
I think the Jane in this case was just a rando that got abandoned by the trio bully squad, which is why they were the death specifically.

true true you're right! when I talk about the most intelligent community in the gaming field, then I'm even given an example love it <3 you're sooo right! I was lagging! I, who has a clean ping of 30 (as always), no packet loss symbol and poor Wesker was just a good player with a packet loss symbol, with every action he performed he stood still for 2 seconds because he couldn't move ( which is common when lagging) but no! it's obvious in every game but in dbd it's your fault xD i swear to god if you're serious they could paint a stone and say it's gold! would you believe that please tell me it's not serious xDD
Please Valve bring CS2 faster!!! I can't take it all anymore D: heart pain, i mean it for real how many Dollers bhvr gives you for it to lie ?
Ping spikes dont care if your ping is 30, thats kinda the whole thing about ping spikes.
@Nirgendwohin said:
I like how @AetherBytes and @KayTwoAyy blames it on the survivor but they can clearly see that the killer has continuous red ping or packed loss (its the same symbol for killers). As it looks for me, the killer ping is about 1000 - 1500ms, maybe with a little packed loss.
BHVR why is the killer ping nowhere displayed? BHVR why is the ping limit with 2000 way over the playable state?
Admittedly I forgot this was even a thing. I dont usually check.
HOWEVER
This level of internet fuckery is simply not possible if only the killer was lagging, I'd know, my internet can be pretty ######### sometimes. This is def the killer having internet problems as well as the survivor ping spiking for a moment, as even the server itself is failing to tell the survivor whats going on, meaning either the server is deciding both players connections are atrocious (if even for a moment) or the server is at fault, not the killer or the survivor.
-
I've seen this before. Your ping is spiking, not weskers. You're losing connection for just a moment, short enough that no warning signs appear, long enough that things like this happen. What tells me this is that Wesker stops for a moment after dashng the second time in the second clip, before catching up when your ping settles. Due to the nature of it, you cant even check in as it happens, since it starts and stops so quick.

I kinda feel like 'interacting with the killer' is built in slow down for a number of killers. Anyone lurking for a flashlight save, or like you said, disarming traps, means they aren't working on gens. It's a form of free slow down for quite a few killers, although arguably for killers like trapper the setup time isn't worth the time savings.
It's one of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of the flashlight nerfs from the ptb. I can understand that it could be frustrating for, say, a wraith to get burned. But removing them completely just means that survivors are on gens instead. Try increasing the time investment, spend more flashlight charges. You can nerf it without deleting it completely (and making it take more survivor investment away from just gens).
But then again, I'm also not one to run lightborn as killer. If you want to give up distance to blind me as I break a pallet, by all means go for it. I'll track you with my headset and let you give up your temporary advantage for a cheeky blind.
It feels like the ptb is saying that interacting with the killer is bad. With the side objective of boons being effectively removed, the message is very clear that survivors should never even consider doing anything other than gens. Do gens fast and leave.
I'm not convinced that's a healthy message to send. I'd much rather have interactions with the killer and their power be meaningful alternatives to just doing gens.
They weren't "nerfing" flashlights (though this is a nerf), they're simply bringing older killers in line with the new design philosophy. Having killers that could be directly countered by an item made sense when there were only a handful of killers. and the game was slower and focused on run and hiding rather than looping and chasing.
-
There is built in slowdown. It's called healing, and it just got a hell of a buff. I wanna see the changes on live first before making any further plans in this kind of matter.

Making Hag not hard countered by an item that survivors may not have and giving survivors a basekit way to remove the traps means that it's easier to buff Hag in the future.

They tested it. Results were somewhere near "disastrous". So the answer is they don't know how to implement it yet.
Basically, the way thewy though would work was that all survivors being unable to do anything (slugged, hooked, being carried etc) would end the game, playing a mori on the final survivor caught. In return, survivors could always revive themselves after ~40s iirc (more like 20s because unbreakable).
Results were that games were impossible for killers playing legitimately, as they could barely ######### blink before suirvivors would be up, or 30 second games where the killer would deliberately rampage and slug, ending the game in literally less than a minute in a lot of cases.
Basically, either BHVR is lost on what to do, or have completely scrapped it after the backlash.

People complained it was too large, so now its small.
Also you do realize that only really the edge slivers of the map are blocked off right? It's only like 15% smaller.

In this case, yeah, survivor gonna think twice before trying to protect someone or body blocking the killer when he gonna hook someone, lot of perks from the killer side is shadow buffed in a way...
The thing is... I love to use sloppy butcher... But with the healing nerf... it gonna take 80 secondes for healing... It's ######### huge
So, survivor gonna just... Gen rushing and get out, plus, take franklin's... One hit, and your medkit is dead.. Sloppy, same thing
And, funny thing, in the same thing, shattered got technically nerf because nobody in the survivor side gonna use a boon anymore, and buffing killer who just camp...
30s healing time with sloppy (with no other modifiers). That is pretty long, might entice survivors to group up. I smell a legion meta.

Waiting for the day of No Mither becoming meta lol
It legitimately might, at least on the lower end of "meta." Changes could induce slug tactics, so DH with No Mither may become strangely viable for once in SWFs.
-
Gen speeds were an issue because survivors could heal practically instantly. With healing speed reduced, now they're either spending quite some time healing, or the killer's chase time is halved.
-
@skylustv said:
They nerfed sloppy on her main attack but they gave her an addon that do the same. Imagine playing against Nurse with a 30 sec healing speed + aura reading, this will be chaotic
Loss of an addon slot for a sloppy effect? Eh, I think that's alright. Means nurse can't have cracked blinks.
-
Believe me, man, the nerfs killers got is mere pittance against the longevity survivors just lost. Sure, gens might go a bit faster by default, but with the massive healing nerfs, abandoning a chase to protect a generator isn't a lose-lose decision now, and they may stay injured long enough to pick up chase again. All in all, Killers will be much faster when it comes to damage now.
-
Because these are two completely different forms of healing, both of which were OP. If you nerfed one people would just flood to the other method anyway. Best action is to nerf both now, watch the outcome, and act accordingly.
-
@Bot_Salvo88 said:
You need to also think "is it fun to play as?" instead of only "is it fun to play against?"
You should NOT aim to stun Nurse, Blight or Spirit. Even if you do, it's not fun as nurse to get stunned 5 seconds after a pallet stun. Nurse gets already stunned all game after her blinks.
Spirit already is a lot weaker than she used to be. You can clearly hear when she's phasing where she is and she has a power to recharge before using it again. Sunning her for 4 seconds would be a horrible change.
Blight is also fine as he is. The only thing he needs is a couple of add-on changes.
Honestly, would not be against like +1s stuns on nurse, blight, or other high mobility/mechanic ignoring killers if they're stunned mid-power.

I don't remember anyone claiming those are additive and their in-game behavior suggests that their interaction is actually multiplicative. While sure realm offerings increase the odds, they do so by absolutely ridiculous values (check the wiki), so obviously they are nearly always a guarantee for their given realm.
But they actually aren't, there have been cases, and there still are, when the game picks a different realm despite the presence of an offering.
So based on that, and you not understanding that maps and realms aren't the same thing and offerings actually go for realms, and also that you seemingly don't understand percentages properly, I'm not going to agree with what you said.
The way you describe this stuff just does not add up with what we can observe in-game, and since the behavior of neither the realm offerings nor the hatch offerings has changed since they were introduced, I seriously doubt that anything is bugged or not working as intended. I'm quite sure that if something were wrong, it would have been addressed by now.
It's additive, every time I've used one it has succeeded.

It works against all squads. Not just effective ones. Also it's the most natural thing to do (camp+tunnel). So here we are in this thread...
I never said it didnt work on all squads, I'm saying that if you remove tunnelling before correcting the root issue, high MMR will become nigh impossible against skilled squads.
-
The reason tunneling is used so much is that, against effective squads, it's pretty much the only thing that works. You literally cannot remove tunneling until you can incentivize some other play style, and doing so will just make kill rates plummet.

I have nothing against your opinion, but i absolutely can not share it in any way. For me, this would be absolutely boring after 2 weeks. Where is the challenge, when you join in a match and people do not even give 10% because they are like: "Ohh the enemy is suuuch a cutie, we all are play super friendly..naaawww...cuddle time..." The killer should be a killer and not your friend in a game called Dead by Daylight. A match should not getting affected by a pre chat.
People wont do that, they will still play hard and fast, but they might abstain from starts considered unfun, such as hard tunnelling someone out instantly. Rarely you'll get straight up farmers (outside of events which already have those)
-
@Veroles said:
There are tons of reasons not to do it. First of all the most would probably write bs anyway, another group would say "Hey we looking for bloody party streamer lobby can we farm please". The others will write a whole survivor rule book. Besides, that would have a massively influence on the whole gameplay itself. I consider this as a troll post to be honest lol.
I mean, with the points you made, it would be a benefit then. Acting like that in the pregame lobby will just get you dropped till you get a nurse with a bone to pick. On the other side, survivors that are nice in pregame might get a more fair game from the killer, who may not feel as pressured to win as well as the killer popping streamers.
Basically a self solving issue. I propose this actually get tested on a PTB at some point.

I just want to point out in general for those who dont know, DBD has a secret stamina mechanic. Lower your stamina, the louder your breathing and grunts of pain. If you want max chance to not be heard, dont run if the killer is nearby, crouching will also slightly reduce the volume.

Yes because the entire point of KI is that it can't be directly countered. KI is used solely for certain killers; there are zero killer perks that utilize it (and that's how it should be). It's a way of providing information to certain killers as part of their power and having a hard counter to it would hinder certain killers' powers far too much, especially Legion's.
The only killer that has survivor aura reading in their basekit is Trapper (when a survivor steps in a trap) and tbh even that should probably be replaced with KI instead.
That'd be a nerf, since he already gets a notif bubble. Changing it to KI will just make it lose value on potentially eating distortion stacks.
-
The point of killer instinct is to be a reveal mechanic that can't be blocked by anything. Creating something that gives immunity to it would just make it a different form of aura reading instead. Currently, I like it's current role as unstoppable info better.
-
Next step is buffing killers. Dont forget, with Solo-Q more on par with SWF, many killers are now left utterly useless. Once thats fixed, sure, we can look into more Solo buffs, but for now this should be fixed first.

I mostly like it, main issue is how damn long some can actually be.

Killers who don’t really want to kill survivors have white eyes. I believe this could be the entity making them see the survivors as someone they hate (azarov for wraith, spirit dad for spirit, etc)
Ex. Wraith, spirit, hillbilly, deathslinger, maybe blight?, artist (There is no mention of her eyes being taken out in artists lore, so I’ll assume the entity did something to them.
Note that tricksters eyes are confirmed to be contact lenses.
White eyes is pretty much confirmed to be tricked by the entity, except doctor who's white eyes are noticibly different and caused by electrical surges
Other Killers either have a deal with the entity (Trickster, Clown), are only able to be forced through torture (Trapper, Nurse), or don't know better (Huntress, Bubba)

So...
Pop- 15.5 charges would be removed all the time... I like that
Eruption- 7.1 (7.192) charges would be removed... doesn't seem worth a spot... but multiple Gens being hit with Eruption at that % kinda makes sense
BTW those numbers were taken from 89.9 (cause that's the highest a Gen can be and still be interacted apon by the Killer
And Call Of Brine only increases the rate of regression by .25 charges making the total .50 charges per second... for 60 seconds which means a Gen would lose 30 charges
Then Overcharge starts at 75% (which adds 0.1875 to the .25) then grows to 200% (which again increases the rate by half) in 30 seconds but stays 200% until it's fully regressed or a Survivors taps the Gen
Overcharge does not add, it's multiplying base. it's 75% of 0.25 charges (0.1875 overall), which then ramps up to 200% of 0.25 charges (0.5 overall)

Yes, I don't think just because you get banned in one game you should be auto banned in all other games (maybe expect if they are from same multiplayer franchise, lets say Call of Duty or something if you cheat in more games, etc.).
Also DbD doesn't use VAC anti-cheat so this probably would not even work or make sence at all. Maybe someone cheated in one game 3 years ago, now they are different person and decided to try DbD and now be auto banned? I don't think that's fair. And yes, I hate cheaters of course, but still I don't think that's fair.
I got banned from DBD on my main account like 3 years ago because of what I can only assume was some weird GPU corruption. I still get remarks about it in TF2 on that account and people calling me a hacker despite being only in the middle of the leaderboard lmao.
I still wish I could have my main account back, but multiple appeals have been denied (mostly because neither BHVR nor EAC will own up to banning me and keep saying the other did it).
In short, sometimes its just a false positive, and shouldn't be an instant sign someone is cheating.

If a mori was an actual cutscene then sure, or maybe at the end of gameplay like they tried with the finisher Mori thing. But there's a lot that can go wrong in a multiplayer scenario if you start culling objects with collision.
You're far more likely to have either the killer or another survivor get stuck on the terrain as it comes back into play.
Which doesn't even touch on scenarios where, say, a survivor could deliberately stand somewhere during the mori animation and when the Mori completes, they're fully contained inside a rock or out of the map.
What do you do if, for example, the map boundary wall would block the mori view? Do you delete the wall for the animation but in doing so allow players outside the playable area?
If its only culled during the animation, theres no issue.

If it's not CoH, it's medkits. If it's not medkits, it's Bond so they can find someone to heal them, or We'll Make It to keep their teammates healthy. You can't avoid survivors playing smart and staying healthy, good survivors know not to stay injured and give the killer an easy down.
My advice is to pick killers that can end chase quickly, so if you run into healthy a survivor you can chew through their health states with ease. That, or bring chase perks to help tie up chases sooner if your killer is a little lacking in lethality.
The issue, in my eyes, is self healing. Take bond and heal eachother, that at least takes time and effort that isn't on a generator.
Circle of healing I can just run to and heal myself, not stopping gen progress to a noticable degree. Same with medkits, but at least those eventually run out.
