Nah I think clown is worse
Clown is so much better than Sadako,you can actually get downs and hit people because of his power.

Ol' Ghosty got it worse. Outclassed by Sadako the poor guy.
A good Ghostface will always 1shot you,especially with his bugged reveal,you will get exposed.

Not the best but fun to go against
As any weak killer.

So can anyone confirm only the ones that bought the dlc can get it?
-
Because no one wants to spend to whole game dodging chains,some Pinheads just non stop chain hunt everyone and its so annoying.

"Have you ever played solo queue" I can see you're new here because literally half of my comments are about how terrible the solo queue experience is.
Yeah,pair that up with the new sbmmr and you're in for a treat.

Like idk if this is just me but I've been getting really consistent 32k points as Sadako- and sometimes not 32k but just a couple hundred out. Like is anyone else finding this is the case or am I just getting lucky?

(and yes, there has been a decisive lack of COH gamers and it has brought me so much joy)
Most survivors I go againts are potatoes because the long time ones usually quit on dont play as much.
So most survivors you go againts are either casual players or new ones.
Have you ever played soloq and see just how bad most survivors are?
-
Yes it desperately needs one,I wish BHVR did what games Dowsey mentions in that video did.
They have no ideea just how much it will boost the playerbase if they fixed the core issues of the game.

@Mandy said:
I think the biggest problem with that old system was that it put new players against very experienced players which was completely unfair and pretty horrid for the new player experience.
This happens with SBMMR as well,some of my games I go againts god squads and others I go againts survivors that have no idea what they're doing,its clear at this point calculating someone skill based on escapes and kills is not working.

Well it’s all about speed of healing. For example if hypothetically self healing with CoH took two minutes to finish that would obviously be so slow that nobody would bother doing it. If it took 2 seconds that would be clearly broken. So somewhere in the middle are time frames for self healing where it’s fast enough that survivors will consider doing it but slow enough that injuring a survivor is still worth it for the killer to do to keep someone off the gens for a bit.
It completely destroys m1 killers,that we're already weak.
-
@Mandy said:
I remember when healing was nerfed - it gave birth to the Resiliance, Spine Chill, Iron Will, Adrenaline meta and I believe it most definitely gave rise to what we now refer to as "gen rushing". Prior to that, Survivors would spend more time healing but this change showed survivors that they were wasting time healing and focus the generators instead. Survivors adapted to the changes and developed a new meta basically, which is something that will always happen.
I don't mind survivors healing, as I know that's less time they're spending on gens. Speed of healing could possibly be an issue - super fast medkits etc, but I do not think healing itself is the biggest issue.
Come on,you really think healing with boons hurt the survivors?
It would be much worse if the just stayed injured and be prone to getting 1 hit and be noisy and leave blood pools.
The amount of healing it takes with coh is just too little to really affect the gen speeds.
-
New killer is weak againts half decent suvivors.
-
Man,seeing people defend dead hard due to being scared of it getting nerfed is hilarious.

yeah. they're pretty pointless. I stated that change day 1 when clown got reworked. He would be so much better at timing his speed boosts. survivor benefiting for killer using their power is very odd to say least.
They we're afraid of the power the Clown have and they didnt wanna make him too op,too scary.
-
@Cetren said:
I use it for mobility moving around the map. It can also net you hits around certain loops by slowing the survivor and then speeding you up just enough to hit them. You can watch some Otzdarva clips as he uses them regularly in his clown games. They're useful.
They feel clunky and like a waste of bottle most of the times.
-
Just go play something else.
-Mathieu
Probably another game of the same genre that fulfills the reason players leave dbd in the first place.
-
I wasn't around old ruin but I think old ruin would be nice in the current genrush meta.
Tho I think current ruin is still pretty strong.
Not as strong as the old one but yeah.

We did not. In fact, we've said the exact opposite: We do not consider it a fix to the grind in the slightest, it's an improvement to grade rewards, nothing else.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2850459#Comment_2850459
I can also confirm that we don't see it as something that encourages people to play more. A certain amount of grinding, sure, it can give you a goal to work towards and keep you interested. But if it becomes too much, then the goal feels unattainable and you lose interest in trying to achieve it.
To the original topic: It's too early to share details now, but we have a massive grind reduction in the works. I'm looking forward to the day we're finally able to share it with everyone.
That's good news,I cant wait for it,on another topic,is it also true that an anti camping mechanic is being in the works?

Stranger Things was the best thing to ever happen to dbd.

So right! Take all my ++++ exactly, they care only about money so yeah... And another question, does anyone use all those thousands off useless charms???
The only charms worth using are the animated hook ones.
And for survivor are the ones that are bigger and bright.
80% of all charms is useless filler.

The new chapter dropped and the first week was filled with posts about how little impact it had on getting new players or bringing old players back.
Then suddenly we get a "rAnDoM" event which encourages everyone to log in daily for 1-2 matches worth of bloodpoints, and wow, we're probably going to see the player numbers go up regardless of whether people do more than open the game, claim the bonus, then close it again.
I wish I wasn't cynical enough to look at it that way, but am I the only one tired of getting attention and rewards from the game only when they feel threatened? Used to be events were announced well in advance because they were about enjoying the game, now it's more like "oops, chapter flopped, fudge the numbers" or "a high profile game is releasing? time for another 1.5x weekend!"
Yeah,BHVR are easy to read,its obvious they do this just to make players log in at least.
They only care about money to the point,they want to put the least amount of effort for the most rewards,this shows me they dont really care about their own game or community,they only care about how much money they make out of it,they're not a passionate game developer company that actually cares about their product.
They showed us this time and time again,if they really cared,a lot of issues the game has would have been fixed a long time ago.
-
BHVR,they dont adress the community complains,and act like they know everything when they obviously dont,they add stuff that make game worse just because they want to,BHVR doesn't deserve the playerbase or this game success.
-
Its bad,what's the worst is that they dont listen to valid criticism and they pretty much do their best to do the opposite of what community wants

The content creators advertising this should genuinely be banned IMO 💀
Going around showing everyone how to exploit is such a scummy thing to do.
Do you realize how s****d that sounds?
Its not their fault for the bugs.
-
No,they only care about money as they proved time and time again,every change they make its with money in mind.
If they cared about their reputation they wouldn't treat their playerbase like it didn't exist.
-
I will drop dbd once VHS is out,i'm done with BHVR
-
They need to change the game engine and fix their da*n code,everything breaks every update,game still lacks basic quality of life features.
They need to listen more to the playerbase and fix things people been complaining for years,dead hard,coh,noed,camping,tunneling,genrushing.
These are things that people always complained about and they dont consider fun.
Add replay option or spectate a game,like dota 2 has,practice mode with bots for all kilers,on any map.
I think this will never happen,I lost all hope in BHVR and i'm just waiting for new games of the genre to be released.
-
29hgjfghfgghjd.jpg
I guess we can safely say the new chapter failed to bring more new people or old ones back.
I'm glad this finally proved BHVR,that just adding new killer and survivor is not enough to fix a game that has so many health problems is unbelievable.
The new bugs after the new chapter proves just how many issues this game has.
-
They seriously need to fix their game,we need a game health chapter,they need to do something about the game code,everytime they change something,half ot the game breaks,just change the engine and port the game to a better one.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Are the posts being deleted or are they being moved and merged with other bug reports on the same issue?
Hmm lets see,will BHVR killswitch the perk,or delete everything that mentions it.
Hmmmm
-
Because everytime they wanna implement and change something in this game 32489342 other things break,this is dbd code in a nutshell lol.
-
Nobody wants to play a pallet stun eater killer with no antiloop,I rather play clown,he can down survivors faster than Sadako.
Until something is done about coh,hit and run killers are dead in the water and Sadako is not even one of the strongest of them.

its called elden ring
This year dbd will face some heavy competition for their playerbase.
-
She's still a killer with very limited mobility,a good Plague can be very hard to deal with tho.
-
She has the power of watching how gens are done while she eats every pallets stun on the map.

I wanna ask how you know playerbase is falling/ not increasing, but If you say Steam charts, im gonna dip on that conversation, because Im so tired of explaining why basing your opinion on a fraction of platforms used, using average CONCURRENT player count. Whereas if you want to know the size of the active playing community, you'll want the Daily Active Users / Weekly Active Users. But Im pretty sure its Steamcharts, cause its the only one people keep bringing up.
Its the only one people can check,what other chart do you expect people do base it on?
-
Depends what you call a veteran,I play since early 2020 and I have over 1.5k hours in the game.
-
I strongly believe competition will kill this game.
VHS,Evil Dead The Game,Outlast Trials
Just a few hyped up titles coming out this year.

I agree with this.
People get bored at a certain point, some might come back.. others may leave. Also after SBMM, the game itself became quite competitive, not many like this.
How is the game competitive when mmr matches you with a god squad,then players with less than 100 hours in the game,it became even more casual in my point of view,because matchmaking makes no sense.

I am on my 4th break since 2016 and I am sitting at 2300 hours. Stretch res, boons, and cheaters were my motivation for stopping this time. I will likely return eventually since I invested so much cash, but I find myself choosing to do other things when I have the opportunity to play. The game is designed to frustrate and there are enough other frustrating things going on right now. I need joy in my life.
New games of the genre will come out soon.
-
@Barbarossa2020 said:
All of the above.
But people just get tired of playing certain games.
I may have 50+ games in my library i probably only play 3 at a time.
And with the learning curve of dbd, ie perks etc to be "competitive" it's pretty unnewbie friendly. Who wants to play your first games as a killer into players with 500+ hours. It's pretty demoralising.
Not to mention you will have to grind for months just to get the perks you want as a new player

They are so desperate for new players,maybe they should fix their game instead of baiting people that are obviously not gonna stick.

When Nurse was disabled, it was much better because the team wouldn’t throw the game immediately when they found out its a Nursie. The game was something special and I enjoyed the weeks when she was disabled because you didn’t have to worry about the slugging Killer that sweats for the 4K.
What are you thoughts about the Nurse re-enabled?
p.s: this is just a opinion, don’t get upset/triggered about this thread.
Why did you have to make this post?

I hope Bubba will be disabled like Nurse for an indeffinite period of time.

Because when a perk does something it never used to do and there is nothing in the patch notes about it doing this, I usually assume "bug" over "shadownerf/shadowbuff" and oh would you look at that the Badham walls that everyone said was a shadowbuff was actually a bug it's mad how these things happen
I thought it always worked like that,you are getting stunned by a pallet so it shouldn't matter if you carry someone or not.
The perk clearly mentions it reduces a pallet stun duration.
-
@Mechanix82 said:
I think its unfair that killers can turn when they pick up. I think Killers should only be able to pick a survivor up pointing towards then head of the survivor so we can have a better chance at flashlight saves!
git gud with flashlight saves
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Enduring currently reduces stuns when a survivor is rescued from the killer's shoulder via being stunned with a pallet. Is this intentional?
Obviously if this is a bug, I will make a bug report in the correct section. If this is intentional, then neat.
Why do you think this is a bug in the first place lol.
If anything this is how it should be since enduring clearly says it affect pallet stuns,you are getting pallet stunned so it makes sense to reduce the stun duration.

@Gigante said:
It's unbelievable how nothing is being done, playing killer has become pathetic and a joke. Survivors have 2/3 jungle gyms side by side, which is next to the check, which is next to a T/L and to make matters worse there is the MASSIVE wave of dead hard players. I've been playing dead by daylight since 2018 and never in my life have I stopped seeing dead hard in my games, EVER. It's a ridiculous perk that with the newly hit validation buff has become the third health state. In addition to the killer needing to hook 3 times, he needs to practically give 3 hits, as the game will ALWAYS prioritize survivors in this hit validations.
Playing killer has become depressing and stupid.
Not to mention the fact that doing a generator nowadays has become literally pressing a single button and being able to make a coffee if you want since anyone can hit the skillchecks even blindfolded as it's ridiculously easy.
The ignore survivor ones too,people been complaining about camping,tunneling and killers like Bubba for ages and nothing has been done.

Do you think will sadako get another change ?
I think sadako likely needs a complete overhaul.
No,she's still a C tier m1 killer where her teleport helps but she still gets stuck at loops.
