No idea how the changes will be like honestly. I hope he'll be better.
He won't. It's a blanket nerf.

In context, that's a different kind of argument.
I'm comparing actual similar things. We really need to wait how it plays out. People said reworked Freddy would be awful, and he's top tier. People said Ghost Face would be trash, and he's top tier (depending on the person playing him). I think it's fair to say you should wait and see. If he's really that bad in practice, I'll be right there with you.
Freddy is not top tier. He looks powerful only because currently every other killer is flat out #########.
Loser Face top tier? Yeah, sure, against bad survivors. Against a decent team, Loser Face gets rushed and looped, just like every other M1 killer. He's by no stretch of imagination good, let alone "top tier". He's a meme, only good for teabagging to bleedout gauge depletion those survivors that somehow managed to go down against him.

Do you know this is the third time with the same comment from people not reading the whole thread and seeing the other video of the new nurse I posted 🤣😂
She is still decent there is no argument about that. Her feeling fun to play as well that's another story.
No, she isn't. Her counterplay changed from "use LOS blockers and try to predict her" to "run in a straight line and she'll never catch up to you because she's a 96% m.s. killer with a [BAD WORD] 6 seconds [BAD WORD] cooldown on her power".
-
@twistedmonkey said:
It took 7m24s for the gens to be done That not really a gen rush TBH and a Nurse should do better at controlling the game but Swamp isnt the easiest with any killer. Also not everyone plays geat every game and mistakes do happen, The Nurse player could just be having one of those bad games.
Now look at this video from Zubat as a counter to your one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZzzmNMkgyk
High rank play, Nurse no perks on road to rank 1 series.
Invalid. That video was made when she was decent.

The game already does that for you.

Good thing that game wouldn't even count towards the statistics then, because games with DCs in them are automatically disregarded. Peanits has said this like... several times by now 😄
What the devs say and what the devs do are two unrelated things.
-
Styptic agent is basically the same as before, so no.
-
Play however you want. Don't let survivors tell you what you should do.
-
No, she isn't.
-
I'd revert the nerfse to her release self (115% movement speed and 3 blinks).
-
My money is on a 45 seconds cooldown after every use of the hillbilly's chainsaw.

That's like saying camping is an exploit. Which it isn't.
Pallet loops are designed to be that way now. Survivors having smaller hitboxes and being able to hug the edges of objects more is by design. What is NOT supposed to be a thing is safe loops.
Intended by design, huh? Consider this: when someone, during one of the fall 2016 dev streams, asked the devs what they thought about pallet-looping, they answered that they didn't even know what it was.

I was more talking about the "practically undodgeable" part but you think that pallet looping is an exploit so I really can't be bothered taking this convo any further.
Ditto, since you're clearly either a survivor-main or a clueless newbie.

Looping may not have been intended, but it certainly doesn't equate to a practically undodgeable insta down attack.
Indeed. Instadowns are an intended game mechanic. Pallet-looping is an exploit.

Against swf that is Whats Gonna happen most times... Ive seem it many many many times i have won matches as trapper i shouldnt have because of that and i don't blame them they need altruistic points if they want to pip.
Against a good SWF, you'll 100% get rushed and looped to oblivion.
-
Step 1: play the hillbilly
Step 2: ???
Step 3: profit

The counterplay is camping them to dead so they can't use it. Same with keys. It's an unfortunate part of the game.
Except keys can still be picked up by other survivors.
-
Does anyone here remember when they completely ######### up sound occlusion with patch 1.9.2? They fixed it for survivors in, like, three days, whereas killers had to wait until the clown's patch dropped, four months later.
-
People still saying DS has anything resembling counterplay, lol.

i mean in certian scenarios were his traps are working and using bassement a lot he can easiliy win a match but u need to play tactical and is not fun.
But let's be honest, that only happens against bad/over-altruistic teams.

@John_Doe said:
Same goes for wraith imo.
The wraith does at the very least have some mobility. The crapper doesn't even have that.

Whatever part of the Doctor you're talking about, it's a still a jump to conclusion.
Oh, yeah? Where's the "survivors afflicted by Carter's spark can't interact with anything for 2,5 seconds" part? Because I don't see it.

Bit of a jump in logic.
I wasn't talking about the add-ons.
-
So, they're basically nerfing him.
-
You don't see him for the same reason why you don't often see the crapper and Leatherkek. Because he's basically a M1 killer with a big, directional terror radius.

This isn't any worse than the Wake Up exploit or the Sprint Burst exploit. Were any people banned? Nope.

It's not about removing plays from a killer but the mechanic being consistent for all. This helps with balance as the trapped or clown are disadvantaged more than those who have a power to negate it.
I have met planet swf who hook rush and I get free hits on them and always chase thr unhooker. I don't tunnel so BT never affects me for the 20s. The only time its obnoxious is end game which reworking it can be solve that issue.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/885820#Comment_885820
It's not, its just the players who choose too use it that way. The good leatherface players never have to camp and do well with him.
@GrootDude is one of them.
"The good leatherface players never have to camp and do well with him."
The good Leatherkek players are good M1 killers players. Because that's what Leatherkek is, if you don't use him to camp. A M1 killer with a big terror radius.
-
They've been since their release. Even pre-rework Freddy was better than them.
-
@twistedmonkey said:

That I what I said in my post you quoted stop it from working at end game.
Why should the trailer be punished the whole game but Freddy can negate it? I don't think you realise how the stats can be skewed with allowing this on stealth killers which makes it harder to balance and can make them seem more powerful than they are.
Killers already have exhaustion add-ons to negate those perks from working.
It's a bad concept for those that use a power to camp. It's not a bad concept for those that don't as they won't be ever be affected by it in the first place.
Leatherkek's power revolves completely, 100% around camping.

Why would you play him over the hillbilly?

That soon wont be the case...
Yeah, for one week max. Then poeple will realize how laughable he is, and switch back to their usual killers.
-
How Oni mains feel-- Oh, wait. They don't exist.

Imagine calling "overpowered" a M1 killer with a big terror radius...

I never talked sbout reworking his ability just give him more traps from start.
That would be a neat change, but he'd still be clunky and... outdated, when compared to the other killers.
-
He's outdated as of fall 2016. The Devs have made it pretty clear thath they no intention of ever reworking him.

Or that the killer is really good and knows how to use the trapper. The data just shows that any killer is capable of winning in any rank.
Against bad survivors, yes.

The statistics shows that every killer is viable in red ranks. So it shows that they are killer mains out there, that are capable of constantly winning games.
No. It show that survivors play like potatoes 90% of the time (because, honestly you have to be really bad to lose against the doctor or the trapper. Either that, or you're playing with bad teammates).
-
Which add-ons to avoid? Literally every single one of them, aside from the cooldown reduction ones (match sheet, address book and pen).
-
Imagine calling broken mirror Myers, which is a ######### meme build.
-
So amazing he's basically a M1 killer with a big terror radius.

Insidious Kekdetteface. Oh, the salt...

...which all still have nothing to do with the skins.
You pay for the game. To play it. It has to be programmed, updated, continuous development, new content, bug fixes, balance, servers, growing,...
Most DLCs are available for shards. Only the licensed one cost real money, because, guess what, licenses cost money.
Skins are made additionally. They literally have nothing to do with the DLCs.
You really don't get how anti-consumer all this is.
-
They're one of the main reasons why any killer's kill-rate is as high as it is.

Sadly a lot of people don't want to pay for art. There are so many people asking for free art because they do not acknowledge the work.
In the store are a lot of skins available for shards, which basically is "for free" if you play a lot. But people still want them for less.
I think it is totally fine how it is now.
DING-DING-DING! This game costs $20 and has a crapton of paid DLCs.
-
It's disliked primarily because of the double standards the devs apply to it.
What is commonly referred as "pallet-looping" is an exploit that takes advantage of the survivors' smaller collision to circle around debris, or, in general, tiles encompassing pallets, pretty much nullifying the killer's higher movement speed.
Most games would classify pallet-looping as "hitbox abuse", and fix it accordingly.
As to the double standards I mentioned before, at one point killers started doing a similar thing, namely phisically blocking the space for unhooking. Survivors cried, and that was taken away, whereas pallet-looping is still in the game to date, in spite of being the exact, same, friggin' thing. Hitbox abuse.
-
Nobody cares about a dead game.
