i might be the only one who loves when survivors t bag.
i see it as an invitation to get sweaty with it. and its so funny when you accidentally (or purposely) tunnel someone and their duo goes crazy tbagging at every pallet and clicking lmfao NAH i love toxic survivors AHAHA
idk why people complain tbh .. tbagging equals less distance after pallet drops and effectively is helping you win the game
that being said i also dgaf - if a killer is tunnelling, u bet im tbagging. hit my teammate on hook? tbag. you got span? LOL get bagged m8. refusing to chase me? t bag t bag tbag.
however if the killer is clearly struggling i wont be toxic to them, ill give them a free mori after watching the sun set on dead dog saloon or something cz im not heartless. the moment i see backshots on slugged surv tho im out for blood

That add-on is pretty much useless, 2% just doesn't do anything, I propose one of two simple changes:
Running Shoes
- Increases Slice & Dice movement speed by 10%.
Simple, impactful, when run would be a middle ground between old Chucky's movement speed and current movement speed, would love to have it!
Running Shoes
- Whenever using Scamper, gain a stackable 5% haste for the duration of Slice & Dice.
So your first Scamper would grant only 5%, second 10%, third 15% and so on and so on, so if you manage to chain a lot of scampers, you could be faster than a nurse which I think would be really funny (but pretty much impossible to do without a specific build so I think it's fine)
Chucky deserves good movement speed add-ons!
2%? ur right… they should buff it to 3%, that sounds fair. i dont think anyone would have a melt down over 3%.

yeah no one said that it should be removed but it should be improved
not really it doesnt go over the loop so it isnt the same type of anti loop wich imo shoudnt warrent destroyable teleports
Third remove survivors to destroy portals and instead give demo the abillity to create a new by replacing the oldest portal.
they/you literally did

…where survivors just stand at the pallet you just lifted and throw it in your face again before you can actually attack? This is silly and I thought you guys made changes specifically to address this but apparently its still not working like this. Just have the hand hold the pallet for like half a second longer after lifting it or something.
Survivors can already counterplay by making a read and making another lap around a loop. This other counterplay I have an issue with is just way too much in their control, and doesn't even require a read.thats intentional i'm pretty sure- if you use mage hand on a dropped pallet you are merely just picking it back up for easy access instead of breaking it // if you use it on an upright pallet before the survivor plays the pallet drop animation, you block it from being dropped.
if the survivor drops it before you pick it up you will likely get stunned, if the survivor knows the counter play. it's a timing thing, rather than just spamming whenever and hoping for the best.

Imo every single map in the game sucks to some capacity but some are just worse then the others and it seems like they keep getting worse. I mean just take a look at the last 3 maps we have been given fazbears dead sands and fallen refuge. Those maps are terrible Fazbears is not a indoor map fully like we all wanted, dead sands is just dash killer heaven and fallen refuge is just pallets and windows the map oh but cant forget the walking dead "building" on it.

Would this work? This is a solution to the unique hook incentives not really sufficing for low mobility killers and suiting high mobility killers whilst they get a nerfed version anyway.
If you swapped the pop for a pain res but keep the same values so 20% of current gen progress for default and then 10% for the previously affected killers. This would make it so low mobility killers actually have the time to walk over to affected gens instead of being sped up, which i am not a fan of because it doesn't suffice and i feel like it quickly gets out of hand with chase perks.
Also, i am not really fan of the way the basekit bbq works, not only is it unreliable but it kinda seems built to mislead killers. I'd rather it just not exist so we can keep bbq the perk as is. Or just add basekit bbq without the hook conditions. Survivors get no aura read for 30 seconds after being unhooked anyway and off the record would still exist.takes away the balancing aspect of the regression being base kit. killers get base kit pop but then would have to actually find the gen with the most progress and kick it, making it pain res takes away what would make it balanced.

There shouldn't be more then one side by side double pallet on any given map and this has 4 abusable ones. This was one of the most lazy maps ever. Before anyone saying no they aren't abusable yes they are because Windows is a problem they aren't addressing and they get chained. I'm over them not addressing the perk and the least they can do is gut these pallets. And just keep one of them. Also remove the one spawning outside shack.
this map also doesnt have a main building so i think the excess pallets are fair.

I would play Billy if they gave me an add-on to disable his Overdrive so I could actually develop my muscle memory and learn to curve. Sadly because of Overdrive you can't really practice without this thing throwing you out of whack constantly.
I vote to replace counterweight. That garbage add-on is antithetical to learning the character.
Reduce his TR by 8m but disable Overdrive would be a fantastic add-on for learning Billy, but also for playing OG Billy and Curve Billy.
overdrive is so fun whattt it makes curving insanely fun
but then again i suppose fun is subjective, each to their own and what not, but i would recommend just full sending it with overdrive and going crazy with it. practise makes perfect… and its so funny(and rewarding) hitting people when they think they're on a safe loop and you just curve the entire thing like it doesn't exist xdd overdrive makes it feel even more satisfying imo
i don't think an add on would be bad though, i'd definitely use it. unlike counterweight which i can confidently say i've never used xd the -70% just threw me off completely

This might be a bit of a hot take, but I think BHVR went a little bit too far with the nerfs they gave him after his rework. If you don't know what you're doing (and I don't), Survivors that can loop well can make you feel absolutely ridiculous for even trying to use his saw. He's one of those Killers that can sometimes feel terrible to play if you haven't mastered him yet. There's a very good reason why I devote almost my entire Billy build to dealing with bully squads, because once some Survivor groups figure out you're not very good with the saw, the bully squad tactics often come out to play and they'll try as much as possible to get under your skin.
You have to not care at all about losing or looking like a fool for hundreds, maybe thousands of games and not everyone is up for that. He's still one of my mains though and it always feels great to get a down with a curve. Don't get me at all wrong, he's still very deadly in the right hands. He's just a lot more clunky and difficult to play in the wrong ones. Besides, I don't know how you could buff any Killer to replace the one at the top that never has to play around pallets ever.
P.s. I'll never forgive BHVR for nerfing his turning rate boots. Why does BHVR hate drift king Billy so much?
i agree 100%

TBH i prefer if they got rid of overheat/drive or tone down doom engravings since thats what every billy main uses and makes overdrive more annoying to deal with and give him better addons! , other wise i agree.
you do realise a lot of skill and precision is required to land curves with doom engravings right? its really quite simple to out play, you just have to think outside of the box and predict their curve before they do it. dont give them pallet priority (or do i love when people greed against billy), flare loops when you think you're in a bad spot/crouch tech, leave the loop when you lose LoS and billy is revving up inside the pallet etc…
billy is one of my fav killers to play and play against. he's in a perfect spot right now and i think nerfing his only add ons that make him viable at a high level is not the way to go. i might be biased since he is one of my favs but i dont think he requires anymore changes.
i also agree that he got nerfed too hard like someone above me says,. if he got nerfed anymore i think we'd never see any of them ever again. i know i probably wouldnt play him since he's already hard enough against good players.

Then don't. Or do. It makes no difference. There's plenty of us who will stil play Survivor in the interim. @Crowman is correct. The game has lastest long enough without an anti-slugging or anti-tunneling system, that it won't hurt to wait a couple of months longer for them to fine tune it.
All of this doomposting is silly. In the eight years I've played this game, not once has anyone ever been even slightly correct about something "killing" (or at least hurting in the long run) DbD. Competition hasn't. Bad balance changes haven't. Bugs haven't. And neither will this. It's just more forum hysterics.

pwyf is unhealthy and needs reworked. no one "throws" getting stacks for pwyf.^ in fact, its probably one of the easiest perks to get value from. which is why its so unhealthy. plus the haste is insanely OP.

The entirety of DBD's major problems such as tunneling, slugging, going next, and giving up early could be solved by a ranked game mode. These issues mainly exist when players of majorly differing skill levels face each other. @deadbydaylight Please consider a ranked mode!
I don't think you need to add all of the proposed changes from the ptb to solve tunneling and slugging. A ranked game mode would serve as a healthy environment for bronze players to learn how to play against other bronze players, while also allowing top competitive players to go full out against each other. This way quickplay can allow casual players to go next, as a ranked mode would penalize quitters more heavily. People experience the frustrations of dbd when they get completely demolished and the game is one sided. Creating two separate environments for your players is far healthier, far less invasive, and much simpler than the proposed ptb changes.
Much like your other game modes are limited as you would like to gauge feedback, I think a 2 week ranked mode would be an interesting experiment, permitted queue times are not too bad. Please consider a ranked mode <3
i think its deeper than just a ranked mode fixing it, there seems to be an issue with power trips and a "im the killer so i deserve to be powerful" mentality, and too much power in the wrong hands is what got us here.
slugging wouldnt automatically be fine if it was during a ranked mode. in fact, i think a ranked mode would be more restrictive and everyone who says they want a ranked mode have the wrong idea of what a ranked mode would entail.
ranked would mean lots of rules, on both sides.
edit: and i think queue times are suffering too much. i dont play killer anymore because of them. i genuinely dont think dbd can stand 2 separate main queues on top of the modifiers as well.

I know exactly what a dash killer means. Myers players have been using coup for years and nobody was calling it dash or "dash slop". Just a big lunge. Which is what it is.
But suddenly Bhvr slap a strike label on it, give it to him base kit, and now it's suddenly a dash. No afraid not. That's the whole point that person in the tweet was making. A perk doesn't suddenly transform killers into dash killers.
A perk doesn't suddenly transform killers into dash killers.
i literally agree? but its not just a big lunge anymore its a full on dash!? it has been implemented into his kit and by definition makes him a dash killer now ?!? maybe we just agree to disagree i guess we can have our opinions lmao!

The first video is the same thing as the second. The only difference is one is done with perks, the second is a base kit ability.
That's the whole point. Slaughtering strike is simply a coup lunge they gave him and made it a special ability. If the first video showed him doing something completely different you would have a point. But it isn't. You're trying to validate your opinion of it being a dash just because they have made it a special ability for him.
i think you misunderstand the meaning of a dash killer. they have built in m2 to go zoom zoom = dash killer
its not strictly assigned to kiillers with wesker double dash or ghoul or houndmaster or demo
just because he swings and it looks like coup doesnt mean it isnt dashslop

It punished people who weren't tunneling too tho. And was easily weaponized, enabled bad macro, and messed with several killers powers
truthfully, i was happy with the changes. i don't take killer as serious as survivor for some reason - i like to enjoy my chases and like to avoid putting the survs in situations that would negatively impact their experience (bleeding out/tunnelling at start of the game etc. so i was really looking forward to games having a bit more to help them "get out of the gutter" if that makes sense, against people who dont tend to play so nice. i just thought they should make it so gen block doesnt activate after after 2/3 gens have popped as by this point its literally just fair game. (i promise im not an entitled survivor even tho it seems like it sometimes xd) and that killer power related deaths (traps/onryo etc) dont so much as punish the killer so much but still give the survivors a bit of leeway if it does occur early on in the game. i know how weak onryo currently is, i literally feel so bad for her mains, and would love for her to be able to apply pressure without being punished for using her power but still give survivors something as 3v1 at the start of the game feels impossible to come back from and gives a lot of killers too much power from something that requires not the most effort..and i know how it feels to play a weaker killer and not have the greatest start and need to get the pressure asap. but they still could have tweaked the numbers and still pushed some of them to live…because being tunnelled out at 5 gens and the rest of the team just being there like oh well gg next then i guess and they all just give up or rat out… it feels really unhealthy for the game so they could've at least gave us something.
and the fact that its been (i saw someone say 8 months) since the beginning of "operation health" and still not much has really been done…and we're getting more content after hearing them explicitly say they were holding back on it to focus on the game just makes it feel like they're lying to our faces and are like "but dont worry!!! we still want your money. HERE!"
i love dbd but they're making it difficult for me to even trust a word they say at this point. killers are still bugged, servers are still bad, fov is still in beta (i play spirit (& pig, but pig is.. ya know… pig) so not being able to enjoy my fav killer sucks, queue times (for killer at least) are abysmal yet they're doubling down on modifiers what feels like every month. i cant remember the last time i played killer thoroughly if im being honest.. i play every now and then atm but there's so many things wrong with the game i just dont play very much anymore, auto aim extending the survs chase to longer than it was originally gonna be like or just getting f'd by the game not working properly in general making the game feel more surv sided when the reality is you just keep getting bugs kicking ur ass…. but still if they actually did what they said they were going to do i think a lot of these changes would be welcomed with a less controversial respect ?!? cz killer only feels clanky (in my experience anyways) cz i keep getting messed up by things that shouldnt be happening but are because the devs wont fix anything… if they fixed them i believe killers wouldnt feel so helpless? if thats how they're feeling idk
anyways to put this to bed so to speak i think a lot of the solutions could be toned down, and implemented anyways to resolve the issues we currently have with overly toxic gamers ruining games(these games do happen frequently as much as everyone wants to claim they dont. i think killers have a little to much power/control in how a game plays out by tunnelling/bleeding out people and it makes survivor feel miserable… and also so that we can have trust in the things they say they'll do. they cant just keep putting forward "ideas" then slap a bunch of DLC's in the game and call it a day.
maybe this is built up disappointment and annoyance from the state of dbd and how the devs seem to handle things idk but it just really sucks…
sorry for the book im just tired

I understand that I'm going overboard with rudeness and probably gonna be banned, but what kind of pathetic post is this on your part!? There are clearly signs that you favor one side, you're just making a shitstorm of posts "us vs them" because of your twitter post!
My opinion is why you shouldn't have cancelled it:- If you don't have time to rework these changes, then release them as is, but with minor changes to the numbers, and then in the live release, listening to feedback from not only the killer mains and then adjust it again.
- By not releasing this update, you are depriving all other platforms of the opportunity to try out the content and give an opinion about it. Do you think it's right that only Steam players give feedback? Again, a one-sided decision on your part
- Killers will also continue to exploit the game's flaws in the form of slug and tunnel, understanding that even in the next PTB they can vote against it and you will cancel again like cowards
- If a player chose to play as a killer, he must understand that he is creating a match, that he must try a bit harder if he wants a lot of hooks, this is not walking in the park to give them everything in their hands
But I understood one thing for sure, you are not interested in the opinion of survivors for more than a year, especially solo survivors. The best example is a dead item called fog vials, the stupidest rework of maps and keys that are so useless, especially their iri addons
its crazy to me because its literally a disincentive to tunnelling, its meant to be punishing…
-
@Amanova said:
I'm not going to stay in the match any longer if they decided to tunnel someone specifically from the start and we barely managed to repair 3 gen or slugging from the start, I'm not interested in pleasing the ego of such toxic killers, the match is already clearly over for us so just add abandon in this case in the next update since you are not going to fix the problem with tunneling and slugging and I doubt it will be fixed in the upcoming years
you've just unironically singlehandedly fixed tunnelling xdd killers wont tunnel if they have to face bots instead of real people.
i think they just love the idea of bullying someone.

second video is REWORKED myers performing his new DASH.

Either way its nice that he has allot more in his kit now, and they managed to keep scratched mirror playstyle without the shorter lunge distance. Being able to freely go back to stealth now makes him a full stealth killer for the rest of the game no matter what he brought for addons. And since he cant kill you while standing anymore with 0 hooks, the achievement is now very doable since he can get free moris from tier 3 without needing to bring a mori, and you can infinitely get tier 3. All that together is much better than just plain m1 killer with expose effects.

Arguments can be made that using AI to craft forum posts for debates about Dead by Daylight is acceptable, particularly when focusing on aspects such as efficiency, intellectual augmentation, and the potential for a more structured discourse. The practice, however, requires a clear ethical framework based on transparency and proper usage to be truly acceptable. When viewed as a tool for enhancing, rather than replacing, genuine human thought and interaction, AI can play a legitimate role in gaming communities.
Efficiency and intellectual augmentation
One of the primary benefits of using AI in forum discussions is the enhanced speed and efficiency it offers. AI can process vast amounts of information, including patch notes, gameplay statistics, and community feedback, to quickly generate well-structured arguments. This saves players the significant time and effort that would otherwise be spent on research and writing, allowing them to participate in a larger number of discussions or delve deeper into niche topics. For a game as complex and frequently updated as Dead by Daylight, this ability to rapidly synthesize information can lead to more informed and timely debates.
AI can also serve as an intellectual sparring partner, helping users to refine their own ideas. By using an AI to generate a counter-argument to a personal viewpoint, a player can test the strength of their own logic and identify potential weaknesses before posting. This process pushes the user toward a more nuanced and resilient argument, ultimately elevating the quality of the discussion. This method transforms AI from a content generator into a tool for critical thinking and strategic analysis, which are valuable skills in any debate.
Structuring and clarifying arguments
AI's capacity for generating clear and structured arguments helps to combat the disorganization and emotional bias that can plague online forums. AI-generated posts can present points in a logical, numbered, or bulleted format, making them easier for other users to read and understand. This reduces the potential for misinterpretation and helps to focus the conversation on the substance of the ideas rather than rhetorical flourishes or personal attacks. By providing a clean, logical foundation, AI can make online debates more productive and less toxic.
This structure is particularly valuable in a game like Dead by Daylight, where discussions often revolve around balance changes, character abilities, and gameplay strategies. An AI can organize a complex argument about a killer's power or a survivor's perk, for instance, by outlining strengths, weaknesses, and potential solutions based on available data. This brings a level of technical precision to the conversation that might otherwise be missing, encouraging a more data-driven and less emotionally charged debate.
The ethical imperative of transparency
For AI-assisted forum use to be truly acceptable, the user must prioritize ethical transparency. As with any AI-generated content, failing to disclose its use can damage trust within the community. When players discover an AI-generated post that is passed off as a human's original thought, it can lead to accusations of deception and erode the integrity of the discussion. The solution is not to ban AI, but to be open about how it was used—for drafting, researching, or structuring a post.
Being transparent fosters a healthier community environment where players can appreciate AI as a legitimate tool, much like a writer uses a spellchecker. Furthermore, this transparency helps differentiate between a human's unique perspective and an AI's synthetic one, addressing concerns that online forums could become saturated with "robotic" and predictable content. By upholding the standard of honesty, AI can be integrated into the forum ecosystem in a manner that serves, rather than undermines, the community.
Conclusion
Ultimately, the acceptability of using AI for Dead by Daylight forum debates hinges on its application as an enhancing tool rather than a deceptive replacement for human thought. When employed to improve efficiency, augment critical thinking, and clarify complex arguments, AI serves a legitimate and constructive purpose. Provided that users maintain a firm commitment to transparency, the practice can help elevate the quality of discourse in the gaming community. Rather than fearing AI's presence, players can harness its power to foster more organized, informative, and intellectually rigorous debates.
86% AI ?????? you cant even form your own argument? AHAHAH

And Mori only takes a couple of seconds, yet survivors can tap out — and I fully support it because I personally dislike several Moris (Clown, Trickster, GF), so I appreciate the option not to watch them or having to alt+tab. When Survivors stand at the exit during EGC, they want Killer to come and force them out — because they will be able to t-bag them and mock them one last time without any risk to themselves. Not all Killers want to show up only to get BMed. Giving them an opportunity to abandon game and not deal with all this is logical.
survivors get bled out helplessly on the ground…

I like what they've done with Michael Myers and Pyramid Head by buffing their powers and accessories while retaining their signature flair. Therefore, I'd like to see Ghostface be the next to be buffed, considering his power is easy to cancel and most of his accessories don't provide any useful benefits. Plus, with the anti-tunneling and anti-slugging systems, there won't be much to do with the character.
PLEASE NOT MY BELOVED DANNY!
they butchered myers, they better not touch my gf
