but my change has literally nothing to do with that. Are you just saying random trash to derail the thread? The point of this thread is on the interaction between Franlin's Demise (perk) and White Ward (offering).
There was one point where survivors who died while using a white ward would not drop their item, but that was a while ago if I remember. Who knows what happened to that.
Chill. 2 survivors join a game - 1 with ward and item, other without an item. Killer smacks first guy. Second guy takes the item and escapes with it. Both guys keep said item.
-
Once active, the perk is pretty good. I think the difficult bit is to activate it, as you won't always be able to get someone to let you heal them exactly when you need it. That's why I think it's a bit niche
-
If it did, swf groups would just be able to multiply rare items and add ons. I think it's completely fine as is.
-
Like some others said, if you're messaged consistently that your games are laggy, this means they most likely are. You might want to consider connecting your router to your console with a lan cable to improve the connection. Otherwise you can block incoming messages or not respond.
I really don't see the point in creating a forum post about it
-
I'd say the legion, ghostface, Amanda, Doc, freddy seem like they look after themselves.
Maybe trapper showers every now and again.
Huntress uses one of those weird organic soaps that seem to smell worse than not showering.
Spirit doesn't need to shower.
The rest look like they've showered once or twice.

I hope someone tells Bill smoking is bad for him. I'm worried about his health.
And even though Dwight seems to be a healthy weight I'm concerned about how much pizza he eats.
I'm most concerned for the clown. The dude sounds like he's falling apart

Get the stun, or pretend like you are camping it and if the killer respects and turns to go around it, unless they have bloodlust, run to the closest vault down the stairs. You should be able to make it
-
Unfortunately no event this year. The next one will probably be around Chinese New year, around the time the next rift comes out

i do like the thought I don’t have to rely on someone to help ‘win’ the match. What killer do you main on ps4
His name is literally clownismymain 😁

The only thing I find weird with ruin is that it denies the 50 bloodpoints for good skill checks. It makes no difference to the killer whether survivors get these points or not, so it seems quite unnecessary
-
Wow 😂
-
It's my favourite perk to see as killer. Makes it easier to win

Lol! - no....actuall Janes build is how the Ladies were back in Roman like times, their appearance was what was considered just "normal" and i wouldn't say Jane is overweight......
It might be what the beauty standard was back then and I agree that many people find it appealing today as well, but that doesn't mean it's healthy. It comes with all sorts of health issues

Why are people saying Jane is "thicc" she is very much of a normal and accurate shape in the population so i am not getting it...Jane is more of the proportinl size to many then others..o.O
Perhaps the average population that you observe is overweight

This thread is just silly

None of these perks are useless in my opinion. Apart from monstrous shrine perhaps. I don't think any of them need a rework.
Deja vu - this is a really strong beginner perk. If you don't know yet where all gens spawn on each map you can use it to ensure you don't get 3-gen'd - just always do one of the gens you see and you'll never end up with 3 gens too close to each other at the end of the game.
Premonition - again an extremely powerful perk for new players. Tells you exactly where the killer is every 45 or so seconds.
3rd seal - arguably the strongest hex perk in the game, on par with devour (in my opinion, at least). Hit 3 survivors and proceed to see the team dissolve into chaos.
Knock out - put this on a killer with an instadown and couple it with infectious for massive snowball potential
-
Survivor - meg
Killer - spirit
-
I decided to buy the first one and as a result played way too much. For the second one I'm going to take a more relaxed approach. Just play the game and if I reach level 70, I'll buy it again
-
I did. I like the killer and survivor

Play without ruin and survivors will complete 2 gens before you even have time to get to it.
Get to what?
I play without ruin. Losing 1 or 2 gens in the beginning of the game whilst you have no pressure is OK. You're supposed to stall survivors gen progress once you start injuring and hooking them
-
My current build is unbreakable, tenacity, iron will, kindred
-
Ruin is a bad perk even when active. It prevents people who use it as a crutch from improving their skill and efficiency as killer.
When it lasts it helps killers easily beat bad survivor teams without needing to play well themselves. At the same time it does close to nothing against good teams even if it stays up the whole match.
I play without ruin and always have 4 perks on which I can actually rely
-
I've bought 1100 cells for the rift pass and I've bought all of the licensed dlcs with money (not cells)
-
As killer I don't enjoy playing against immersed teams, as I have to spend more time looking in corners and lockers than I actually do chasing them. I find this boring. The thing I dread the most is having 2 immersed players still alive with 1 or 2 gens to finish. I'll search for them for a minute or 2 and if I don't find them or don't see any progress on the gens and then i'll just go afk. I find this incredibly boring
As survivor I don't mind taking the aggro if I have immersed teammates, as long as they don't let me miss a hook stage. If I see people crouching around the map while I go to second stage, I will not struggle.

@Drazen said:
sad to see nurse went from highest kill rate killer to lowest kill rate killer , no plans for her changes??
Don't read too much into the nurse stats, as they include console. On ps4 facing a nurse as survivor has always been an almost guaranteed escape, unless you face one of 4 people that took the time to master her (in the EU region at least)
-
As killer: if I had a number of fun chases, not overly immersed survivors and at least 7-8 hooks, I don't really care how many escape.
As survivor, as long as I've had at least 3 chases, decent amount of pressure from the killer throughout the match (I. E.i didn't just sit on gens and then die on first hook), I don't care if I escape
-
You don't need the ' in needs and bans. The' before an s is used to show possession or an abbreviation. It's difficult to read the title as you've spelt it

killer obviously out of range...
one teammate 20 meters away cleansing a dull totem then running off to cleanse another...
one teammate crouching to me from across the map...
one teammate actually doing a gen...
I go into seconds stage on first hook over half the time anymore
Killer hooks me around the edge of the map and goes looking for survivors directly ahead of me. 1 survivor crouching in the left corner of the map out of heartbeat radius, 1 survivor crouching in the right corner of the map (again outside of heartbeat radius) and 1 survivor crouching directly ahead of me (within radius). The guy ahead of me gets chased and he got caught exactly when 2 minute timer ran out. The other two were still crabwalking in their respective corners. No one touched a gen.
Endgame screen showed all 3 were rank 2 😂
-
The things you see on kindred, or when you are waiting on the hook are either really entertaining or extremely depressing. You're indeed gambling with your sanity by equipping that perk :)
-
I don't think your issue has anything to do with the ranking system. It's just how the player base is divided in your region. There aren't enough players at your skill level, so the game matches you up with the next closest thing. Even if the ranking system was different, you'd still be matched up with the same players, as those are the people who are available, playing the game at the same time as you..
Even in a theoretical "casual" mode you'll still play against the same people - you just won't know their ranks and you'd probably have to wait longer to find a lobby, as the players will be divided between the two game modes.
The only constructive advice I can give you is to not focus on winning and instead, focus the elements of the game that are fun for you. For example, if you enjoy chases, just go for that and don't worry about how many escape in the end. If you enjoy sacrificing people, just hook someone and camp them out until they're sacrificed and so on. The point is - invent your personal win condition and try to acheive that. It doesn't have to match what the game tells you is a win.
Also. all platforms have the option to disable incoming messages in one way or another, so if you get a lot of hate, due to your playstyle and that tilts you in some way, just use the tools provided to block these messages

I feel that man. Issue is it's been like it the past few days and seemingly only for DBD. At least it's not transferring to real life (touch wood) haha.
Hopefully your luck has improved!
Oh yea it has! Thanks for the sympathy :) The point I was trying to make is that this game is heavily based on RNG - pallet spawns, killer/survivor spawns, etc. It sounds like you really had a stream of viciously bad luck with all of those factors going against you simultaneously and that's really demoralising, but at the end of the day bad luck doesn't last forever!
I hope the RNG gods bless you in your next games!
-
Unfortunately I don't think you can tell if you have kindred also.
It would be nice to have the information that someone else is running kindred as well. After all, information is power in this game.
1 status icon if your own kindred is active and an additional one for someone else's would be sweet
-
Sounds like one of those days where everything goes wrong for you.. Reminds me of the time when I got fined on a train after losing my ticket, having a bird poop on me and slipping (and falling) on cat vomit - all in one day.
Just roll with it.. bad luck doesn't last forever :)

Purely coincidence. There haven't been any changes to reduce ping- it's not something we can actually reduce easily. The ping is the amount of time it takes for data to get between you and the server (killer, for PS4/Xbox) or vice versa. This is all down to how far they are from you, how good their connection is, whether or not they're on wi-fi, etc. You'll probably notice a huge decrease when consoles eventually get dedicated servers, though.
Thanks for replying. That makes sense. Perhaps recently there have been more people playing in the UK region. Either way - thanks guys for all you're doing :)
-
Fair enough. Maybe I'm just imagining things. I refused to play survivor for a long time, because of the constant rubber banding and input delay, but it's really nice to enjoy both roles again.
-
I don't know.. I see your point, but it seems too consistent to be a coincidence. I know it's not dedicated servers, but I was wondering whether there has been some other optimisation.
Either way, I'm not going to complain, that's for sure!
Has anyone else experienced recent changes in average pings? PS4 by the way, i forgot to specify in the post
-
In a lot of scenarios if the survivors try to body block you to the hook and you realise this early enough, your best bet is to drop the person on your shoulder and go after the bodyblockers. It's quite likely that they will be in an unsafe position where you should be able to hit them relatively easy. Try to down one of them, which will split their attention between two people that you now have on the ground.
If it's in an end game scenario and you don't have the option to drop a survivor, a good idea is to choose your pathing strategically. Fake going towards the closest hook and then turn around and start heading to a different one (make sure it's not too far). A lot of the time the other survivors wont expect it and will struggle to catch up to you
-
There's been so much work done on consistency within the game in recent patches. I really hope this is on the to-do list. A lot of people will be grateful to have more precise descriptions on perks, items and add-ons. Such a nice and hopefully simple qol improvement
-
I'm jealous of anyone who currently gets to play dbd mobile - that's my gripe with it :)
-
I don't think there's anything to worry about @Bigbootiejudy666 . As far as I'm aware there hasn't been an official word on any plans to change the Hag.
I think people complain about her, because she's rarely picked and a lot of survivors have no idea what to do when they face one eventually. The power itself is unique and interesting.
Some people adopt a pretty unfun playstyle with her, but I feel like i should point out that these same people will play in a similar way with other killers. The difference is that survivors are quite used to versing a wraith or bubba, who religiously defend a hook, but they are not used to versing a hag doing the same just because she's such a rare sight.

The important thing is that Irihead lets Huntress insta-down at a distance, something I'm pretty sure no other Killer in the game can lay claim to. Letting her have multiple shots at that seems excessive IMO.
Probably not intended, but another killer who can do this is plague with corrupt purge. With relatively high ping (i've experienced this above 180ms) a single puke often puts survivors from healthy straight to the dying state. I think it's because due to latency the game registers 2 hits instead of 1.
-
If you see a huntress with a mori, generally expect iri heads as well.
Another frequent tell is that a huntress with iri heads tends to be a lot more picky with her shots and will most likely like to make sure she has a clear hit on you before she throws the hatchet, due to there being a much higher penalty to missing a shot. If she has iri, always assume she has 3 hatchets (infantry belt) unless you have proof that she's running another add-on.
-
OP's screenshot are a bit depressing to look at
-
This means 122.5% at the start of the match. Not going to lie, I think would be extremely oppressive to survivors.
-
I recently played a game where a survivor absolutely blew my mind. Twice they would 99 their sprint burst and bait me to chase them. Then they would vault a window, which activates a 99'd sprint burst, as you're technically not running while vaulting. That conditioned me into thinking they had lithe throughout the whole match. They absolutely made me look like a fool at the end when they finally showed me their sprint burst. I don't remember the exact situation, but they practically won the game by baiting me to take a chase thinking it's an easy down, as they were pretty much in a dead zone.
Only a really good player can pull stuff like this off and deserve to be rewarded for it. I'd hate for skilful interactions like this to be taken out of the game.

I was told I was using a crutch perk, Ruin. They all had BT, DH, and DS.
There's usually a good conversation when I use Franklin's, survivors don't see it much and they call out each other for stealing their stuff.
Haha, it's hilarious when that happens!!

Always think its funny when survivors criticize my perk choices after I successfully kill them. A recent one was saying it was dumb to use BBQ on a scratched mirror build.
Gotta get 'em bloodpoints! I run bbq on spooky Myers as well
-
The thing is (and i'm not saying whether this is right or wrong) the game tells you whether you won or lost, based on how much and how well you performed certain actions (or stopped other people from performing). Sacrificing people is only 1/4th of the Killer's win condition, based on the pipping system. In theory even if people escape the trial, the killer can still win (based on the game's rules).
Your question is an interesting one - you sacrifice 3 people and 1 escapes. The game tells you that you won and you feel like you won as well, but the escaping survivor feels like they still beat you. I think it's just a matter of perspective. They escaped and met their win condition - as they played against you it's natural for them to feel like they beat you, even though from your perspective you sacrificed 3/4, so you clearly won as well.
I suppose it's just how it works in a game where two teams can verse each other and both can meet the game's win condition at the same time.

Most recently:
Yelled at for: bloodwarden (thought i was hacking), no mither (being a liability)
Praised for: bloodwarden (really intense endgame for both sides), tenacity+unbreakable (4 slugs turned into a 4 man escape)
