Did you do the Fast Track/Specialist build where Specialist does most of the carrying? Also a build that no one will ever use because it takes too much time to set up? See this is the problem with people whining about Fast Track. They know Fast Track isn't all that so they put in very situational builds.

Yes, it took too much time to set up before, but Fast Track enhances it. Perks do not exist in a vacuum. "Very situational" has allowed me to finish 2-3 generators per match and average 3 escapes since I started running it. But no, you are right. This is not a problem, so that's why I will continue to do it. Good luck out there in The Fog!

One person can only touch so many gens, and can only benefit if they're the one not being hooked. One perk isn't making gens fly. This is how it's going for me when one or two people bring this perk:

This is every match I've seen this perk in for the last cpuole days with the exception of a server DC that I had as killer. I was going to win that one too though. So all survivor losses accept the last one. Killer got two hooks before a bunch of end game trades boosted his score. But he lost because he was bad, not because of perks. Fast Track's success rate in my matches has been so insanely bad I'd honestly dodge if I could see people running it in my survivor lobbies.

I don't take screenshots of every single one of my matches like you do (not to mention the new bug where the scoreboard totally glitches out and you can't see the final match results at all sometimes) but if I did, I could show you just as many cases of 3-4 escapes where I was the only one running Fast Track. is it just Fast Track alone? No, but it's the combination of other perks that it has made much, much worse. Now, they could nerf everything else, but none of those were a huge problem until Fast Track came along.

But okay, you are right lets say. So then I won't feel guilty at all with my build that lets me personally finish 2-3 generators in less than the time other survivors finish the rest. Unless the killer tunnels someone, every game I've been in today has been at least 3 of us out. Last one vs. an Iridescent Hatchets Huntress on Dead Dawg was a 4-escape and that's one where I did 3 generators (the 3 non-Blood generators, other survivors were doing the Blood generators, I ignored them) by myself because of how she spread out the hooks like a good little killer.

There’s no way you completed a gen in ten seconds just using fast track. Maybe you were playing a gimmick custom game using potential energy or something.

Fast track is really not that strong. Content creators whose “job” it is to rage bait are the ones trying to get people to believe that. Really if you just want gen speed then hyperfocus + stakeout > fast track. Fast track is a decent comeback perk, but it’s nothing special.

It wasn't just Fast Track, no. I never said that. However, Fast Track coupled with other perks plus a brand new part? It's easy and consistent to do. We already had questionable perks, the new Fast Track is yet another.

As I have said before, these forums especially have a very US VS. THEM mentality between survivor mains and killer mains. I play both sides, which is why I am able to to see how insanely easy it is for me to solo complete generators now if I don't get tunneled out.

Not exactly. They did the comic version of Laurie for her facial features because they couldn't get the rights to Jamie Lee Curtis' likeness, but Myers himself was still the movie version.

  • NGL, I would love to see a Werewolf by Night chapter. Here is the MCU version trailer, but Werewolf by Night is a 70's classic about a werewolf named Jack Russell and a monster hunter by the name of Elsa Blooodstone (yes, that Elsa Bloodstone, IYKYK.)

  • @hermitkermit said:

Not trying to invalidate how you personally are feeling but I feel as though I’ve gotten some whiplash. It wasn’t long ago when most 2nd chance perks were deemed the reason to slug, because it stopped them from ever activating. And then there was also any kind of perks that activate off of unhooks also became a reason to slug, because if you deny the hook you can deny the perk. The reason keeps changing but there is always a reason for those that want to find one.

I’m unsure whether or not the perk is in a very healthy spot right now, as I haven’t seen it really affect my games. I know this doesn’t mean that it’s not actually happening, I admit that I am limited to my experience, much like everyone else. But if a perk is overturned I feel it’s much healthier to just say it’s overturned and it should be fixed rather than attaching some kind of consequence to it, because it implies that if it was reverted the consequences would go away, and that’s simply not true. I think it’s just the new flavor of the week reason. People have been claiming that “X” is the reason for slugging/tunneling for 10 years, there will always be a reason for someone that wants one.

Again, the perk could absolutely need tweaks, I am not disagreeing with that. But I disagree with this idea that because of it, people have to tunnel/slug. They did it long before the perk existed and will continue to do so long after. I’m pretty sure even if no perks were in play at all on either role, slugging and tunneling would absolutely still happen, because it’s just the easiest and quickest way to get a survivor out of the game, majority of the time. We’ve seen it in 2v8, we’ve seen it in chaos shuffle.

The problem we have with this perk is that if killers are going to tunnel and slug, they are going to tunnel and slug… but for those few of us that do not… those of us that want a fair and balanced game and to spread out the hooks, we are getting punished. Am I going to start tunneling and slugging more? No, not any more than I already do (which is usually not, unless you have Boil Over. Call it old RPD Library PTSD) but I have already noticed a few lobbies where because I didn't tunnel, gens were flying and at least one survivor had Fast Track.

  • Been running it myself now for personal testing, and in just two games I have managed to complete an entire generator by myself in 10 seconds. Do I expect it to happen every match? No, it won't. Even more so as I tend to suck at hitting those BNP skill checks. But when I do? 10 second generators, 20 seconds without the BNP if the killer is 'trying to make sure it's a fun match' as survivor mains insist killers do.

  • @ChaosWam said:

I'm already someone who runs hyperfocus/stakeout to make soloQ a little easier.

I added it onto my build, and 3 survivors getting hooked shaved 18% off a gen for basically nothing. That's NOT good perk design. This would be like if killer had a perk that added, say, 10 charges to every gen for each completed gen.

Most of my matches I'm the only one running it, too. Imagine if all 4 run it. Actually, I don't need to, there's plenty of videos showcasing it.

Thank you for being a rare survivor that can understand where we are coming from.

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066912#Comment_4066912

    It's actually pretty simple.

Killers say they'll tunnel over everything. Perk improves chases? Sorry, I don't have time for multiple chases, I need to tunnel. Gens faster? Sorry, don't have time, need to tunnel. Faster heals? Sorry, can't give the survivors time to heal.

Anti-tunneling is getting boosted? Can't have that, killer outcry.

Basically, the argument lost all value a long time ago. Absolutely any improvement to survivors is an excuse to tunnel, and when killers get boosted we don't see decreases in tunneling. Some killers will always tunnel because winning is all they care about, some killers play in a more balanced manner because they are more interested in a fun match.

That part is the same for survivors. So among the 'elite' levels survivors will rush gens, killers will try to tunnel as quickly as possible, and I'm sure everyone will have fun.

Some killers will always tunnel because winning is all they care about, some killers play in a more balanced manner because they are more interested in a fun match.

Yes, and now we are getting punished for it. That is the problem that I and many others have with the new Fast Track. Why is that so hard to understand? Being punished by the new Fast Track (no matter how many times it shows up) is the opposite of a fun match.

Also why is is it that its okay for a survivor to "want to win" meaning escape, but it's not okay for a killer to "want to win" which means kill? Why do survivors get to play to win but killers are not allowed to?

  • @ChaosWam said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066912#Comment_4066912

    I have to agree.

Sure, people already tunnel for no reason, but perk design like this only PUNISH those of us who don't tunnel. Where's the logic?

My downvotes (and yours will soon too) say all that needs to be said.

  • @PetTheDoggo said:

It's not broken on level of MFT, CoH, or MoM, but I would say it's overtuned.

It weird to double buff such a simple gen rush perk, where only counterplay is to tryhard as killer…

Would be better, if you gained less tokens for hooks and more of them when survivor is actually killed. So it doesn't punish killer spreading hooks, which is what you want them to do.

Yea, I don't get how survivors defend this with how much they complain about tunneling. A tunneling killer is much less likely to have a problem with this perk. So you want killers to tunnel, or you want killers to play by the survivor rulebook and spread out hooks? It's not rocket science.

I'm so shocked to hear the random complaining CC is a killer main. Completely unexpected. I don't really care what some streamer thinks. What is it with this community's inability to have and use their own experiences?

The value of this perk has nothing to do with being good or bad. It's based on your team doing badly. If you're not in a cordinated 4man where everyone is using it it's value is very low. You sitting on a gen and getting more progress on it while everyone around you dies isn't exactly a winning situation.

Just because one's opinion happens to align with someone else's, streamer or not, doesn't mean one does not have their own opinion.

But whatever, I am done with this thread because we obviously have a different take on things, and neither of us is going to be able to say anything to change the other's viewpoint.

Someone with tons of hours playing at a high level (and performing for an audience) is not a good example of anything in this game. You can just play it yourself and see if you get value. I tried it and got none and then I took it off. And a lot of other people are doing the same. I saw it a few times in my killer matches yesterday. It made no difference in those outcomes. I haven't seen it once today. The novelty is quickly fading, and it was brought on by overreacting.

Ask a survivor main vs ask a killer main doesn't even make sense. Play killer only and all you'll see is your own playstyle, and if you do those things you already don't think they're an issue. Play survivor and you'll see a lot of different killers and a lot of different cheese.

He's a killer main, rarely plays survivor. It's really not that hard to get the value if you aren't downright terrible at the game, and most killers quickly leave those levels of players.

Point is, he's a big streamer who has many hours of showing how abused this can be.

You're allowed to say who it is. We can't insult Content Creators (or anyone for that matter) according to forum rules, but we can certainly discuss their videos.

Otherwise it's just 'I heard from someone I trust more than anyone here', and there's not much you can do with that on a discussion forum.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066426#Comment_4066426

But I just said that it was overall not better than me with my regular build.

This is what I haven't been getting about the discussions. If they weren't running Fast Track, what else would the survivor have been running? Even if we just leave it to gen rushing perks, I can see scenarios were Fast Track could outperform alternatives, but also lots of scenarios were it doesn't.

Just because you (not meaning you specifically would, I trust that you would not) can't harass him on these forums doesn't mean you (again, its not you specifically I do not trust) can't harass him elsewhere.

But okay, the streamer is JG_Dahrk. Hes been doing streams with the perk all week and is going to be doing a full video on YT soon.

The new DBD Creator Program. It means they are sponsored by BHVR. Point is, he's a big streamer who has many hours of showing how abused this can be.

But that's the problem with the us vs. them mentality this game has.. no amount of proof by the other side will convince any of us… and BHVR a lot of the time it seems just listens to the biggest voices… Is tunneling and slugging a terrible epidemic that happens every single game? Yes if you ask a survivor main, no if you ask a killer main.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066405#Comment_4066405

I tested the Perk and it is not as good as people think it is. It is just the typical hysteria from Killer Mains when something might not be useless anymore on the Survivor Side which was useless before.

Let alone that the scenario you described was also possible before the Buff. The part that Gens can be done faster with Fast Track is not new, what is new is that it is reduced charges and not faster repair speed. But this does not matter if the Killer does not even kick the Gen.

So, no. I tested it and came to the conclusion that it does not benefit me more than my regular Survivor Build. Even if single Gens could be done fast (again, this was possible before the Buff), it does not really save the time I lose by not being able to be efficient in other ways.

Oh well if YOU tested it then case closed. When are you releasing your full video of your gameplay?

If you don't have video of multiple games of you trying to abuse it and failing due to it not being broken, I will believe an Iridescent Partnered streamer that has been doing multiple games on both sides illustrating how terribly broken it is.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

You can literally remove half progress of a gen with ONE person running perks revolving around that perk, and people complained about this perk in the PTB?

…while your team is dying. Why do people always skip over this part?

Fast Track was a bad Perk before. Fast Track is still not a good Perk, even if it is better now. People were panicking about Fast Track when it first released and this panic was, as always, unjustified. Now Fast Track received changes and people are panicking. Because for some reason, people think that one Survivor Perk (which was either new or received changes) needs to be the next big thing which is concerning for Killer. And almost always it turns out to be a non-issue.

With all the gen perks being added, stop adding more.

They are all bad tho. The only good ones are Dejavu, but mainly because you find Generators quicker and have better tools to avoid 3-Gens and Resilience, but this is because it is an overall good Perk.

Spotted the survivor main trying to justify this broken perk. I watched an Iridescent Partner Streamer spend an entire night abusing this perk and 9/10 times he got at least 3 if not 4 survivors out because most killers don't slug and tunnel as much as these forums suggest they do.

In fact, no I will not tell you the build, but he managed to finish a generator entirely solo withing using an entire toolbox. I saw this multiple times.

  • OH wow! Yea, it's different enough but… once you see it, that's obvious. We already knew the dev behind Trickster in the first place was a big K-Pop fan, but they just showed their hand as Blackpink fans specifically with this!

The pure fact you even mentioned she had toolbox and hyperfocus makes this even more clear. If you dont wanna kill them than atleast slug them so they cant imideatly rush gens behind your backs because thats what they do its their true purpose they lack the emotions you have for them to leave them thinking they have just bad day but thats not truth its strtegy that is rat like its like false charity where instead giving money to save children dying in africa you just help some bum to get rich, decieving strategy so beware and its your call how will you tolerate them but prrsonsly I just take the hook or slug them.

I would understand not giving ones for Legendary skins though I wish that it would also unlock the effect and let you use a Legendary badge if there is one, but not even with Legion? Kind of lame. Heck, not even Julie? Just Frank?

To further explain what I mean. Like say I get Prestige 100 Nancy Wheeler. Then when I go to equip the badge for her, I will also see the badge for Robin as a further option because I bought her. Same could be done for Joey, Julie, and Susie. Please consider this.

Ghostface isn't a problem because he's constantly getting knocked outta power and his marks only last 30 seconds so it runs out fast. He's basically a support killer and unless he just follows his duo to mark people he ain't really doin that good

Totally missing my point. The point was, they showed that enough complaints can get a killer Kill Switched in 2v8, and that is a problem to me especially since that's the point of this entire thread… They got The Legion removed, now they are setting sights on The Oni.

  • @GhostsCore said:

This is completely ignoring the fact that there are 2 killers in this mode (one which greatly benefits from injured people) and the fact that as a result of their power. You are being chased far less than normal.

Yes, Legion on their own isn't the issue. But nobody wants to play an amplified mend simulator because that's what Legion was best at. Keeping everyone injured for their teammate. Which meant you weren't chasing individual survivors for very long.

It sucks we lost Legion. But if we included them again, I'd frankly rather they have a different kit exclusive to 2v8, like a disguise killer as shown in their trailer. As while a 1v4 disguise killer would suck, in 2v8 they'd be able to pass off as a survivor far more consistently due to the sheer number of survivors. Add a sice ability to help in chases and the devs would have a great way to test the reception to a disguise killer and how they'd work. (This will never happen though)

I don't like Nurse and Blight. Sure they aren't so bad separately but together they both greatly benefit from both killers having near instant map traversal at all times. Remove Nurse and Blight the same as they did Legion.

  • @Brightened said:

I get it- There's not that many killers to choose from, but game after game is Oni after Oni.

    It makes it seem boring.

They also gave Oni a RIDICULOUS turn rate so now he is pretty much an easy stomp if he gets a map he can free-run in, which is most of them.

Do not include him in the next 2v8.

Why not? They already removed Legion because players cried, what's one more? They also should remove Ghost Face. His exposed status effect helping the other killer too is way too OP. They should also remove Nurse and Blight. Their ability to traverse those huge maps and quickly dominate, especially together is OP and absolutely miserable to play against. Oh and also remove The Mastermind because his ability to just immediately grab survivors without having to down them first is OP.

Completely not the point. The fact that you can do it in normal queue is for those that truly hate 2v8 and don't want to play it. The quests should still all be able to be completed entirely in 2v8.

  • I think this is the problem with bots in general. While I have never myself experienced a Nurse Bot in 2v8, having experienced a cheater Spirit Bot in the main game, I can imagine how much worse a Nurse Bot would be. Now, BHVR's Spirit bot likely is not as overtuned as the cheater one was, but I imagine she's still a problem because an AI is always going to have a level of perfection that a human cannot match.

Heck, even survivor bots I find most of the time I can avoid flashlight saves from all but the best players, but a bot? The best players wish they had the accuracy of the survivor bots with a flashlight.

  • Wow I hadn't read that, I will definitely have to! That is some seriously interesting lore! It's very unlikely something Rin would know, but would Hachi (now Renjiro) have told Kazan? Very interesting!

Well, we sort of do. There is the "Amanda's Rebirth" skin where she's not wearing the Pig mask, instead wearing her old broken Reverse Bear Trap and Jigsaw half-mask. But yea, I do know what you mean, a straight up human no mask face with Shawnee Smith's likeness would be FIRE. She's said she would love to do it, but that's up to Lionsgate as they actually own the character, they'd have to approve the skin first.

  • I mean, Vecna is the first and still only character that is an OUTRIGHT GOD. In the Dungeons and Dragons Greyhawk setting, Vecna is the God of Evil Secrets, Necromancy, and the Undead.

What I learned a long time ago is that if it doesn’t increase revenue or prevent a large number of players from leaving the game, BHVR simply isn’t going to do it. And honestly I don’t blame them because that is the approach any for-profit business should take. Unfortunately for anyone dealing with cheaters on a regular basis, you’re not a big enough issue for BHVR to prioritize. Apparently the problem will need to get a lot worse before large numbers of players start leaving the game because of it.

Which is something I don't understand. Even more so, I won't name drop other companies directly, but most game developers when they do deal with cheaters, they say "Yeah, we deal with cheaters but we can't give any details about who we actually banned or why." They literally protect cheaters and hackers identity.

Meanwhile, there is one company that doesn't just ban the cheaters, no no. They threaten to sue them. Then, when these hackers who are totally dead to rights and they also make them issue a public apology to the gaming community. Whether or not they actually take them to court likely depends on how they are actually cheating. Those doing DDoS attacks on the game servers to cause their opponents to DC you can bet are getting felony charges. Again, we know this because the company makes these cheaters do a public apology!

Why does every other game company protect them?

As a soloq survivor, I lose matches all the time. It's not unusual to have a situation where almost everybody is death hook at four gens. Yet it never feels like a miserable defeat to me. It doesn't feel PERSONAL. I never get the feeling like the killer is doing things on purpose to get under my skin.

But playing killer tonight after a long time of playing survivor really reminded me of what the OTHER side of the game feels like. First match, within minutes a survivor runs up to me, nods and points and tries to get me chase them. Which they do repeatedly all during the match. I got hit with head on, bags at every pallet. And I wasn't playing toxic, it was four gens and I hadn't really done anything yet.

I'm not saying this kind of stuff is toxic. I think it's kind of cocky to run up to the killer and nod and point and all that. I think the impression is that of really confident survivors who want to show off how adept they are at the game. Which is fine I guess. But encountering "super confident survivors" who nod, bag, point and follow you around all during the match gets really old when it pops up in the majority of your games. Literally right out of the gate. (With the obligatory exit gate bags at the end. Obviously)

I do want to get back into playing killer the way that I use to. Because I like the killers that I have. But man, I just don't know how killer mains handle do it. It is SO much pressure, along with everything else.

This is why I play the way I do. I play for fun, I play to win sometimes, sometimes I meme. Which game are you getting? I don't know yet. But I do know a few things.

    1. I will not go out of my way to tunnel you, unless you are running Boil Over (Lingering PTSD from the old RCPD library. Killer mains who remember will understand.) This does not mean that I will ignore you completely for some "Must hook every survivor first" rule.

    2. I will not slug you, unless your friends are very obviously waiting in the wings for a save. I have respect for those able to pull off a flashy save, but you can't expect me to just LET you do it.

    3. If I am not memeing, it should be obvious and if it is not or you are trying to force me, I will absolutely take advantage.

I will leave you with a few tips about going against a Pig. There are rules, and they must be followed. If she is growling but not finishing the ambush, she likely wants boops. If she is finishing the ambush, she might accept boops, she might not. Also remember that acceptance of boops is not always a guarantee of a 4-Survivor Escape. Lastly, and this is very important… If she is wearing a black leather jacket she have chosen violence and do not under any circumstances attempt to boop her!

    • When survivors perform a good loop, they're toxic.
    • When survivors hold W, they're toxic or hackers.
    • When survivors pre-drop pallets, they're toxic and annoying.
    • When they're greedy with pallets and don't drop them, they're toxic.

So what exactly should survivors do?

Stand there and let the killer hook them, apparently.

  • So what they should take their finger off the W key and… let you hook them?

Sorry, P100 Pig main here and even I am like… what is this post even saying? W is how survivors run. Yeah, sure hackers exist, and maybe you are getting a lot of hackers but maybe you are not. Since there is no way to truly know unless they are obvious about it, the way I see it is learn how to mind game them, cut them off, and win…. or lose. GG GL Next.

  • Even some big name creators are up in arms over this. Watching one now that did the math, the amount he had on Haddonfield offerings across his entire account he spent like 5.5M on them.

Even a million would be better than 250k.

No. For kindred it's the hook that is revealing the killers aura not the survivor, similar to wiretap (the gens) and Treacherous Crows (the crows).

So there is no survivor to reveal. It's similar to Vecna's items, it's Vecna revealing his own aura to the survivors through his abilities rather than it being the survivor revealing them

Wow, thanks for that clarification. I definitely see why the OP asked because according to the perk, all those times SHOULD reveal the survivor(s) aura.

  • You have to also take two things into account.

    1. It's not entirely up to BHVR alone. Netflix could have been the ones to say they want Dustin and Eleven.

    2. If we are to get Hopper and Joyce, would you necessarily want a knock-off Joyce like we got for Ellen Ripley? I don't know the full details of Netflix's contract, but there might be something in Winona Ryder's contract that they would have to license her likeness from her. Note that no other game that has done collaborations has had Joyce either, not even those that had Hopper and all the kids.

  • I just want Robin with her Scoops Ahoy Uniform. That's all I care about.

to be fair, thats exactly what has been said…. abandons dont effect MMR, meaning you dont go up or down. Its void.

When asked about the stats tracker not tracking matches, this is the respose:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/20FPOOKJIOJZ/screenshot-2025-10-27-193455.png

As we all know the stats tracker and the stats BHVR uses are not the same. But the point to note here is the "MMR is not affected".

Thanks for that quote, I was trying to find it but couldn't.

With Dev statements you have the problem if the question was asked or understood the way you think it was. Thats why I don't take everything people say as some fact as in the end everyone can make mistakes or explain things wrong even I can. Still the wiki is done by dataminers as you say so I would trust it to say how it works in the game. I just don't use the wiki to know how the game states things to work as it clearly can't provide that information.

I will point something out… Just because the code says "Yo, bruh you just lost MMR!" doesn't mean that the servers on BHVRs end acknowledge that change, and that isn't something dataminers would be privvy to unless they were much much more than just dataminers.
