Other than this twitch thing what exactly are they used for?
There are some unique cosmetics you get by linking your account. Mostly past event items (from the original Summer BBQ) that were bugged and a lot of people that should have gotten them didn't, so they just gave them to everyone, including new players, for doing an account link. Even then, there are a few that sometimes you don't get, but then you just open a ticket which ones you are missing and they'll manually add them to your account.

While I cannot say for sure, since he's actually owned by BHVR, hes not considered "licensed" so he should be after the usual two weeks. But, they could also say that he's not included as he's not original to Dead by Daylight... But, I do expect he'll be the usual shards cost for an Ultra-Rare (unless he's more due to the new "Visceral" category.)

I just know that after hearing how bad and unnaturally sounding the voicelines for the Rambo & John McClane skins in COD: Warzone was (as they only used extracted voice clips from their respective movies for their skins), i'd just hate for the same to happen for dbd should the devs ever decide to take the same approach for The Tall Man or any other licensed character in dbd.

This is the level of unnatural sounding voicelines that The Tall Man would have should DBD choose to take the same route for him as Warzone did for their skins, which is why i firmly believe a good sound alike is the better option, i'd say the exact same thing for Pinhead too if Doug Bradley wasn't available.

Which is why again, i believe the most likely thing they'll do is hire a sound alike voice actor who can do a decent impression of scrimm's voice.
They never used the original actor's voice at all before Pinhead either, until Clive Barker made it happen for them (which as I understand it, wasn't even something they asked him to do, it was what he wanted, hence the "complications" with the voice lines after the test server.) Just because they haven't done it before does not mean they cannot, if that's what they negotiate with Don Coscarelli and Angus Scrimm's estate.

cuz bhvr did cancel the switch cross progression due to "technical limitations" idf i remember correctly.
I don't know about Switch, but I do know that, unless they are lying, another game I play that has cross-account with every platform but Sony platforms has stated many times that it's not up to them, it's Sony that is the holdout. So it's very likely the same reason for Dead by Daylight.

It's impossible for BHVR to have access to that before the movie comes out... People said the same when we didn't get RE4R outfits upon release of the game. Please understand that the IP's holders don't give access to that that early on, it always takes time + the time itself that it takes for the skins to be made. I'm sure we will eventually get them later on.
Well, to some extent we did with Spiral, though that was more charms, but yes lets hope we do get the skin for her later.

I doubt The Tall Man would be unvoiced, if anything i believe they can find someone who can do a decent impression of Angus Scrimm's voice similar to how they did with Wesker.
Well, ideally they would do what they did with Pinhead and Don Coscarelli would negotiate with Angus Scrimm's Estate to use the movie voice lines.

Steam player here, and yes I can verify that I am having the same issues. I have purchased 6 of the event items (9 if you count those in the tome) and I do not have the Void Pumpkins Charm.

BHVR is using 3rd party hardware in order to sell a software product, they don't own the hardware themselves.
In order for the hardware companies to keep themselves financed over time; they need some kind of continual revenue stream. This can come from subscription services. It can also come from taking a cut from sales on their platform (with which they can use to reduce their own subscription service cost and/or make their subscription service more appealing).
Detaching sales from platforms basically reduces revenue for the hardware providers. That could possibly hurt future deals, violate existing ones, and make BHVR less appealing of a partner.
Could they structure some sort of deal/monitoring where codes credit the platform on which they were redeemed? Probably, but it would require more overhead to manage and would add more points of failure such as the addition of time delays between money spent and currency redeemed.
But this is my own speculation, maybe they already "pay rent", and in-game transactions are not touched.
Yep. In fact, another game I play that uses a third party seller to allow streamers who partner with them to get a cut of the profits of their premium currency sales, but those codes are PC only. Granted, the game has cross-progression with Xbox so you can just enter the code on your PC account, buy the stuff you want, then go back to your Xbox. Sony however does not allow cross-progression. Which, I will take the time to note to everyone, yes I said Sony does not allow it. So, it's very likely the same issue with BHVR not doing cross-progression.

I mean, sort of? I had never heard of the game before she started streaming it, and it looked like a lot of fun so I got it. But I also have played other games before I started watching anyone on Twitch, but I watch them too. Like right now as I am browsing these forums in my ADHD attention span making me do multiple things, I am watching a stream of someone playing a different game than DBD that I also play. I started watching those streams due to their Twitch Drops. Watched the main game channel that streams every day, and they have a schedule where their equivalent of Fog Whisperers actually stream on their channel. I found one particularly fun, so now I watch her more than the main channel (unless she's on it, which is two nights a week.)
So yea, I do both and a lot of players do, especially with Dead by Daylight. If you want, I can send you a DM of some of my favorite DBD streamers that either do open lobbies or are just fun to watch.

Also, keep in mind there is NO WAY for BHVR to know why you disconnected, only that you did.
Did your ISP disconnect you due to packet loss?
Did you forget to pay your bill and your internet was shut off?
Did someone digging accidentally cut a cable?
Did you unplug your modem?
ALL of these things look the same to not just them, but everyone that you have a connection to. Your connection was cut, that's all that can be told by the software.

Yes, a lot of streamers have a community. Heck, that's how I first found out about Dead by Daylight, when one of the streamers I am a founder and moderator for started playing it on stream. Then she introduced me to other streamers, so yeah. I watch them a lot, also play with some of them during their streams.

On a more technical level, legendary outfits convert an existing character to a different character while the outfit is equipped. The moment you take that outfit off, they revert back to their normal character. So if this were to happen, it would likely appear as a separate legendary outfit.
Understandable, and thanks for the update on the theoretics. As a Claire main, I for one would buy her Noir skin in a heartbeat, and so would every other Claire main I know.

I don't think anyone wants those things removed from the game completely. I think people just want ways to counter the most agregious cases.
Whether they are a minority or majority, there are those that want every one of those things removed from the game completely. We already are getting camping removed almost completely with how you can now unhook yourself if the killer is near you for too long, unless other survivors are in chase near you then it takes longer. Soon everyone will get free DS until another survivor is hooked (no they haven't said they are doing this, I am being sarcastic)

As near as I can tell, you only get the "Reunited" scoring event ONCE PER SURVIVOR when you first meet them. So in the case of this challenge, you must have not encountered the other survivor when they are injured for it to count. If they are not injured when you first encounter them, then too bad.
So it's not that it's necessarily bugged, but that it's VERY SPECIFIC AND VERY DIFFICULT.

Yea, I am not getting it either, it seems that you must NOT be reunited with survivors that are NOT INJURED or they don't count. They have to be INJURED WHEN YOU MEET THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME. I just literally got a Iridescent Healing emblem and still didnt' get the challenge done.

No. You misunderstood. I ran into survivors before they got injured and still got it.
If that's the case then I should have gotten it many times over. I mean I can try again, but that's not what the challenge itself says.
EDIT: Yep, at least two of the survivors must have been injured when you first met them because I just got a full Iridescent Healing emblem and I know that healing was done on all three other survivors, solo. So if it's just meeting them regardless of health state, I would have gotten it.

I personally think that maps should be designed with Killer powers in mind and vice versa. A lot of maps just suck for certain Killers.
Earlier today I had someone send me to Tobba Landing as Singularity, in the post-game chat they were trying to say that "the map is good because you can hide your biopods" even though tagging people with my biopods was basically impossible since the slightest obstruction prevents their power from working.
Or being sent to Lery's Memorial and once I got my Archive done, I just turned my brain off since I really didnt have a reason to play with 2 Hooks by 5 Generators and basically nothing else to show for it since all supply cases have EMPs ready and I cant even use my power anyways. The players I went up against of course prolonged the match as long as possible and didnt leave until the very last second of EGC.
Sometimes this game just feel really unfun or unfair, I dont really know how to put it any different, sometimes it feels like it just crushes any amount of spirit or motivation you have to play the game. Not all the time though, just sometimes.
Doesnt help that I have 9 days to clean up the current Rift before it ends while managing college, feels like a chore honestly.
I hear you on the Rift. I have 15 more levels to go, and as much as I really really want Mikaela's amazeballs new outift, I haven't bought it because I might need my Auric Cells to purchase the last few levels of the Rift. I was planning to play more tonight, but I ran into a Tiktok content creator farming content for their TikTok and you can read the full story on the "do you lobby dodge streamers" thread but basics for here, I just DCed to end it rather than give them twenty minutes of them not actually playing the game and just tormenting me footage. It made me so angry that I can't play anymore tonight, something that hasn't happened to me in well over a year.
We will see how I feel tomorrow, but... I strongly think I might just play enough to get to 74 then straight up buy level 85 then quit the game until the next chapter. It's something I've never done since I started playing back with Tome VI, but.... yeah.

Earlier today I would have said no, but after a match I just had versus two identical P100 Feng and two Indentical Nancy, all four with flashlights and one of them had "TikTok" in their name... I seriously considered lobby dodging them when I saw the TikTok, but I didn't.
I wish I had.
They went straight to the killer shack where the basement was and proceeded to juke and spin so they could get downed, then they maneuvered themselves to make sure I would pick up rather than hit others, blind, rinse, repeat, etc.
Then one of them had the audacity to claim that I was the bully for bringing Hubris and they were innocent and right to bully me.
I've not gotten genuinely angry enough to DC in over a year, but... They came in with a plan to get content for their Tiktok, and they succeeded. I do not believe any of them ever intended to play the game legitimately, merely to farm content for their TikTok.
While I know they are going to "spin" my DCing, I really don't care (well I sort of do I guess actually but...) because either way, they were going to get their content no matter what I did. Either I DCed and ended it quickly, or we spent twenty minutes of them alternating blinds before their flashlights ran out of juice. I don't have time for the latter.
So now? I honestly might start lobby dodging those that feel they need to advertise themselves as content creators. We'll see how I feel tomorrow when I am calmed down enough to play again.

First, let me be clear what I am about to say is hard. It took me almost two years to get to this point in Dead by Daylight.
Remember it's just a game, and everyone wants to have fun, but your idea of fun is not the same as others.
That's really it, it really is that simple, however of course getting to that point is difficult, so I'll try to explain more.
For a long time, flashlight blinds, chain-blinds, especially Head On locker stuns made me angry. Body-blocking by crouching at my feet as I walk and even worse at the base of the hook so it's literally impossible to hook the survivor? RAAAAGE.
But now, I think of the above. They more than likely aren't trying to be jerks, they are just doing what they find fun and trying to win. That's all any of us are doing in the end. So, yes I might get frustrated at the time, but when all is said and done and those insanely frustrating survivors all run out (throwing in some rapid crouches to taunt me at the exit gates) leaving me with a 0K, I look at it as what it truly was. Some VERY good gameplay by them, and I tell them GGWP.
Now, as for when you get those who kind of ARE being jerks, made clear when they say insults or "ggez" or call you various names, to them I say just one thing, if anything at all. "GL next game." which in them being so rude, if players are saying something like that, odds are they are looking for a negative reaction from you to get their kicks. So by giving them instead a positive reaction, you are giving them the complete opposite of what they want and that will make them even more angry.

Assuming everyone brings an offering, then yes. Lets' say the survivors are Meg, Haddie, Dwight, and Ripley. The killer is Pig.
Now, on the offering screen you see the following.
Terrormisu, [Hidden], Sacrificial Ward, Strode Realty Key, Shattered Bottle.
When you get into game, you will then see the survivors in that order on your screen. So Dwight is the one that killed your request for Dead Dawg and Meg brought the Terrormisu, while Ripley had the audactity to try to bring you to Haddonfield. Haddie brought a Shroud of some kind.
It mostly works the same if you are one of the survivors, the only difference being that the order of survivors might be different, but you will always be first and the killer will always be last.

Yea, it works "fine" if you get lucky and don't run into ANY other survivors until AFTER they are injured, but... there is so many more times when that just dosn't happen. Maybe you get found and hooked first. Well, there goes one survivor off the list of potentials to trigger the challenge. It's not that it doesn't work as it's described, it's that it's not a challenge at all, it's pure luck based on avoiding the other survivors until AFTER they get injured and before you do.

Yea, when I'm solo queue I usually just leave and move on to the next game, so I don't know how often it happens actually, but when I'm with a SWF I can't just leave and go on to the next game, so I notice it, and it annoys me.

I sort of feel for you, but you'll get that refund as soon as those who bought Ashley Williams when he was first released do. Mettle of Man was pretty much OP AF at launch, and was very quickly nerfed. There were many who bought the chapter for that perk, and when it got nerfed they demanded refunds. Didn't happen.

For the same reason killers have the perks they do. Part of the skill of the game is deciding which perks will help you and which will not.
For example, one of my favorite builds for The Pig is more of a meme build for me because of the way I play it. I bring Blood Warden, Hex: No Way Out, Remember Me, and Terminus. I jokingly call it my Perkless Pig build, as if you didn't use or need any perks, did you even bring them?
Then I bring the addons of Video Tape and Crate of Gears. The challenge to me is get the 4K before the last generator is completed. I don't hard tunnel, but I also am not going to just leave a survivor to complete generators or such freely either. IF the last generator is completed and NOED is cleansed and the door is open, then they win. They get out. If NOED is not cleansed yet, then and only then do I usually go for Blood Warden.
That said, were I not playing it with my "rules" for the meme fun, that build is brutal and almost a guaranteed 4K even for The Pig.

As a Pig main especially, I would VERY MUCH appreciate this, especially when I am accepting boops. I want to be able to still hook everyone twice, but then let them out if they paid the boop tax, but sometimes it can be hard to remember how many hooks they have, even worse when there is multiple of the same survivor.

I'd have to say The Pig. First, I love the SAW movies, especially Amanda herself, and despite your constant nerfs of her (most of which still make no sense) so much it's become a meme, I still find her fun. The way the community has created the "boop tax", the continued support of Lionsgate with the mask for Meg to promote SPIRAL, plus an entire freaking Tome dedicated to SAW complete with a new story for Amanda herself and even Tobin Bell reprising his role as Jigsaw (or maybe The Entity posing as Jigsaw?) for the trailer, I just love her so much.
In closing...
BUFF PIG or at least give us her new outfit from SAW X.

Actually that makes sense, but at the same time, they could do to make them more different areas of Spingwood or such, you know? It's still in the long run 5 versions of the exact same map disguised as 5 separate maps. So like I said, I really hope don't get Coal Tower I and Coal Tower II, etc. Especially with as I said, the Map Prevention going by actual map and not Realm, even with their supposed 50% lower chance or whatever of those kind of maps, we still get Badham Preschool right after Badham Preschool WAY TOO OFTEN.
Honestly, IMO that as a fix would be great. Swap the map prevention to be Realm based rather than Map based.

Seems a lot of the challenges are bugged. Makes it really annoying since I still ahve 26 levels to go on the RIft and with so many bugged challenges, they need to FIX THEM AND GIVE US MORE TIME
