  • They have what I call a "smart" filter, emphasis on the quotations. It tries to censor based on context and/or you trying to hide censored words within another word.

For example, in another game I play, there is a motorcycle called a Gargoyle. However, that motorcycle gets censored as it contains what people of the Jewish community call non-Jewish people. Don't get why it's censored (not a slur IMO as a non-Jewish person, but it is according to that game.) Another game I play censored the last day of the week because it contains the letters T, U, R, and D together. There is an in-game title of Bar'sen'thor that gets censored in chat due to it containing a British word for the posterior region.

So, I think that's what is happening here. Tapp? That's totally part of a slang phrase.

On the chances of the maps appearing more often: This isn't actually the case. We can control how often certain maps appear. In cases like this, maps with multiple variations have lowered chances.

For example, Suffocation Pit I or Suffocation Pit II have half the chance to appear as any other map on their own, but you're just as likely to be sent to one of the Suffocation Pit maps as any other map.

Uh, still. I hate that there are like FIVE freaking Preschool maps, and are they different? You claim they are by their names, but honestly I can't tell the difference between them. Why can't it just be "Badham Preschool" and then a more varied tileset that includes other things? Why does it have to be FIVE MAPS THAT ARE BASICALLY THE SAME? Please, explain to us what the difference is between variants of the majority of maps and variants like the Badham Preschool maps that you can't just... make them a single map?

As much as I hate that it was split into two, at least the Raccooon City East and West maps I can tell the difference between the two.

No offense dude, but you just described a skill issue with the teammates xD As for tunneling, you can tunnel all you want, if the survivor is good enough he will loop you all game long.

I mean there was 200+ escape streak done by hens, only lost against a comp Nurse... Such streaks basically only ever end against comp players.

Yes, but YOUR skill doesn't matter when the other players skill can be so varied. As you said, generally unless you are a SWF of 4 COMP survivors vs. a COMP killer, then and only then does a player's individual skill matter. Plus as you said, COMP players aside, most players aren't comp. They are here to have fun and that's it... When I play, survivor or killer, I play for fun, I follow the Golden Rule (Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You) as best as I can.

Unlocked the Artist last night, not that interested in her, I'm not a projectile killer, I like chasing people and hitting them with stuff. But I had the shards and Skull Merchant was my only other choice.

First time playing, didn't even try her in a custom, just jumped right in. I'm mostly figuring out her power, and it's kinda fun. I'm not a quick learner, so I'm mostly an M1 that keeps shooting birds toward places you were a long time ago.

First two survivors give up once I'd hooked them. "Just hook me again, I'm not going to keep playing against such a hopelessly powerful killer." They were done and wanted me to hook them again, where they immediately killed themselves. Ended up with a 3k in around six minutes.

One of the least picked killers being played by someone who has no idea how to use her power. Why? Are they just tired of this killer no one plays? Did they not like the map they took us to?

Why do you people keep readying up if you don't want to play?

If you act like this on a playground, I'd call you a baby and not let you play until you straightened up. You should have been picked on when you acted spoiled, that's what other kids are supposed to do. Teach you how to fit into society, if your parents didn't.

If you don't have the inner strength to commit to a ten-minute game, you should be doing some self-reflection and improvement, because that's not the behavior of a normal person. The Survivor role should attract people that are tough, and this has never been a game for people that don't like challenges. So why are so many of you so eager to take no points and go home?

I understand when it's a long game, when survivors are trying to win in a way that takes too long, I'll just let them win quick because I get bored. Hide and seek is fun for a little while, after that, do the gens or I'm going to tunnel you out because I like high-energy games.

That's not a factor in the quitters I'm talking about. No one has ever quit against me because I was drawing the game out, because that's the opposite of me. If I'm hitting you too hard, you don't have to quit, you'll be out soon. If you don't like any other aspect of how I play, run, do the gens, escape.

I know, I'm mostly just ranting, but it was just bewildering. I didn't think anyone cared about the Artist one way or another.

Some people just have killers they hate to play against, and yet they also don't want the DC penalty. The fact that they add a bot to finish the game with a DC penalty is great, but it only helps vs. legitimate disconnects.... my power in my house tripped or my internet tripped. But if I want to quit cause I don't like the killer, then you give up, so you die, no DC penalty. But you're also screwing over your team. Sad thing is, in my case the one killer I would DC versus is The Doctor, as he gives me sensory overload. However, I don't DC and I don't give up, I do however play so badly due to the sensory overload I feel bad for NOT DCing and letting the game replace me with a bot. Trust me, the bot would me more useful LOL.

Why not? I think it is about skill in chase or hiding, while I would say the hiding playstyle is more luck based. Of course with map rng and so on it is largely impacted by how good your map generation has been... Otzdarva once did a video about the worst map rng and I think it was 5 pallets on groaning storehouse.

Because of all the luck and RNG involved, it's still way more luck than skill overall. More so for survivor than killer, I think. If there are no more pallets on the map cause Meg pre-threw them all at 5 gens, then no amount of skill is going to save you. If the killer is a tunneler, no amount of skill is going to save you. If the other survivors are standing behind you waving you and another survivor to get off the generator blocking you from seeing the ghost face standing just outside range, no skill is going to save you when that Ghost Face pops exposed on all 3 of you. You might be the most skilled gamer ever, but there are 3 other survivors that probably aren't.

After all, how many content creators have done 1000 Escape Streaks?

  • @Budyń said:

Hi, is it bannable if I slug and then send that person out of the map as Demogorgon? Just asking because demo can go through exit gates while using portal when carrying survivor. Its quite weird but survivors can escape this and go back to the map if they fall off the map completly.

If you do it on purpose, then possibly yes. If you know how to do it, I assume you know how NOT to do it, so don't and you cannot be banned.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

I don't think they're going to make them separate maps. They're just going to move some things around sometimes.

Also, Map selection is done by realm first, so even if they did double the number of maps in the Macmillan realm, the chance of going to a Macmillan map would still be the same.

Yes, but the problem with that is that when it comes to map repeat prevention, THAT is done by ,,map, not realm. You could in theory get Badham Preschool many times in a row as first you get III, then you IV, then you II, then you I, then you III again, then you V, its very unlikely, but I've had it happen to a lesser degree. Gotten 3 different maps, no offerings, in row, all a variant of Badham. SO I really hope they are just making these variant ways the maps can spawn (like the hatch location and jungle gym configurations) but still only the single map.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3540258#Comment_3540258

Agreed, the problem is that when you already "won", because the survivors are unable to finish the gens but you have to get all 4 and don't want to rely on hatch. Either make it so hatch escape does not count toward adept or just rework hatch into something that rewards skill and not some rng thing that might spawn right next to you or on the edges of Narnia (like in the swamp maps).

While I agree, this game isn't and has never been really about skill.

As far as I know requiring a game shutdown and restart needs to be done through a patch. I see no other way.

Well, that depends. They could just trip a disconnect of EVERYONE. It would suck for those currently in a game, but... maybe incorporate some way for it to just cancel the whole match so that eeryone gets their offerings and items back, no matter what. I don't know, I havent' done programming since 1996.

no it is not bug. it also affect doctor's snap out. you can read description. the description is

"Survivors within your Terror Radius have a 10% greater chance of triggering Skill Checks when repairing or healing. Triggered Skill Checks' success zones are reduced by 40/50/60%."

the first part of the perk is that if your healing or repair, your odd of skill-check is greater by 10%, so this part does not affect pig box/doc snap out but 2nd part does as it says that it affect all trigger skill-check success zones. jigsaw boxes have skill-check zones so they are affected by the perk. Snap out is also affected but... let's be real, those skill-check zones are giant for doc so i doubt it does anything. I have used the perk and nobody ever screams in tier 3 for survivor that i play against.

Again, if it IS then that's a bug still that they need to address. A Jigsaw box is not "healing or repairing" therefore it should not be affected. While it is two separate sentences, that's just the way it's worded so as to not make it longer or clunky.

Yes, I am aware of the irony that I, as a Pig main, am asking them to Nerf the Pig, but a bug is a bug.

So there is no secret that it didn't take long for flashlights to be killswitched. Why is Blight and Skull Merchant not killswitched?

Just in case killer mains try to justify that these killers are just perfectly fine, Blight has an exploit that is not intended and can be used for an extreme unfair advantage, especially when the blight player knows how to abuse it. Skull Merchant can hold a game hostage for an hour as long as survivors are willing to stay in the match and not eat a penalty.

Skull Merchant should be kill switched.

Okay, but Killswitch Doctor too. He causes sensory overload in many players and can be an actual physical pain to go against.

unnerving presence does affect pig trap skill-check. it affects all skill-checks. not that this matters at all because.... the skill-check are easy but yeah. only lullaby does not affect skill-checks. it used to do that but it got changed.

Unneerving Presence doesn't either, or shouldn't. If it does, then its' a bug. No perks are supposed to affect a killer's power directly, only their addons.

Over the years of the game's existence, many annoying moments have been solved and fixed. The most boring part of the game is now when the killer leaves one survivor on the ground to find another and make four kills thereby and this situation can drag on for a long time. I don't have a specific solution, just do something towards the killer or survivor if you don't have some kind of your ideal solution. The most important thing here is that there will no longer be this dull waste of time.

If the killer wants a 4K (or needs one like for the Adept) then what else would you have them do? You say you don't have a solution, but neither do they. Nobody does, as they DID have a solution that they tried on the test servers and it was almost universally hated by both killers and survivors. I think it was the only time in Dead by Daylight history that Killer and Survivor mains were united in their hatred of a change.

But to killswitch such a used surv tool?? And isn’t it faster to fix smthng when they shut the servs anyways?

You don't understand how programming works, do you? There is no magic wand to fix a bug. They need to look at the code. They need to read the code. They need to determine where the code is wrong. They need to write new code. They need to then TEST THE NEW CODE on a developer build of the game, then put it in only when they are reasonably sure its fixed. There is no magic wand to fix a bug. One of the reasons they sometimes fail to fix a bug or introduce another bug that they then need to revert until they can do a better job of testing, like the recent thing where they fixed fast vaults but somehow accidentally made male survivors vault twice as far... is they more than likely rushed out the fix as you would have them do here (to be clear, I understand why a fix is sometimes rushed, one needs to fix bugs ASAP and sometimes something slips through the cracks in testing. My reason for saying this is not at all to fault the programming team, I understand how programming works.) They can't shut down the servers until they fix a bug, which is why they only use the killswitch for game-breaking bugs, like this killswitch issue. Would it be wonderful if they could magically fix a bug and not sometimes make it worse? Yes, it would. But programming doesn't work that way.

In fact, I use Residual Manifest. This means one of my main 4 perks is killswitched too. But unlike you, I understand how programming works. So I mention that Residual Manifest is killswitched as well not to complain, but to make the point that I am not complaining, because I understand why.

So sure, shut down the entire game while they work on this bug. See you all next week.

  • Yea, as others have said, if you are in-game when the killswitch is implemented, you don't get kicked and can still use it until you quit the game. So like back when Wesker got killswitched, you could still face Weskers for a few hours until all the Wesker players actually quit the game. There was I am sure a non-zero number who just went to bed without closing the game so they could keep playing Wesker for days.

  • @Aurelle said:

    That's great!

Although I am kinda sad Appraisal is disabled because it's a major part of my main builds. I can understand why though.

I feel you. I use Residual Manifest for its' synergy with Blast Mine, but I am fine with not having it for awhile as I play both Killer and Survivor.

I'm getting the pig soon while there is a sale on . I know of one fun build for pig. i assume for a good build STBL is in there probably. Also can someone fully explain the rule of boops I have a decent idea of it but I would like the full rule as it seems fun and very important to the community.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

The rule of boops is more a fun meme than a rule. So decide what the "rules" are to you, then roll with it.

    A few common 'rules' though.

If you accept boops, that's fine. If you don't accept boops, that's fine too. Now, that said what a lot of us Pig mains do is if we are accepting boops, we will let you know by nodding our head and sometimes let you go. Sometimes we still hook you for points, but will let you out come end game. If we don't accept boops this game, we will down you, shake our head no, then hook you. Sometimes it's only the first survivor to boop that will get the hatch. Sometimes all survivors that boop get out the exit gate. The biggest hard and fast rule (that even then has exceptions) is NEVER TRUST A BLACK LEATHER PIG.

“The code is more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules.” – Barbossa, Pirates of the Caribbean

As for perks, that really depends on your playstyle and whether you are playing to 'win" or just wanting to mess around and get boops.

For example, one of my favorite builds is what I jokingly call my "Perkless Pig" build. I run Blood Warden, Hex: No One Escapes Death, No Way Out, and Terminus. Then for addons I bring Video Tape and Crate of Gears. Then, I try to get a 4K before the last generator is finished. If they manage to get the gates open and nobody is downed, I usually let them all go. If however they allow me to use Blood Warden, then I use it.

Another fun one I credit to the YouTuber SkyFaction, but I bring Game Afoot, Hex: No One Escapes Death, No Way Out, and Rancor. I then stay crouched the entire match, playing friendly Pig. Everyone gets the generators done, they get points, then when the last generator is done, I stand up. Then there is one rule. No running. As soon as I see scratch marks, I chase and down them with NOED, which makes Game Afoot proc, they become the obession, and I instantly Mori them with Rancor. But you have to run for it to work. No chase means Game Afoot won't activate.

  • @Crowman said:

Killswitch doesn't take effect unless you reload the game and it seems that there's no trigger to force some players to reload their games allowing them to use flashlights despite being killswitched.

The other thing is that flashlights can still be found in chests.

Well, from what I understand, they cannot unless you have a perk that forces one. Which have also been disabled. Residual Manifest and Dramaturgy. However, just like the flashlights themselves, you have to actually quit the game.

Yeah, or another eccentric billionaire like Bezos/Musk. Or a company dealing with MMOs like Funcom. That is a shame. If they rereleased it now in 2023 on a more modern engine and keep a lot of those same features like character creation, base building, and demo record, it could be better than DCUO.

True, though they really don't care anymore. At least they aren't going after the private servers, as long as they don't run for profit.

It's the weekend. The people who can enable the killswitch likely aren't working. No need to make this into some conspiracy about bhvr favoring survivors.

They have done a killswitch on weekends before pretty sure. Plus, even if they haven't, that's something else that needs to be addressed. They need to have at least one person among the weekend crew that has the authority to do a killswitch for game-breaking bugs.

Though I am glad they HAVE actually killswitched them today.

  • I swear, if this was reversed with a killer addon or something they'd have killswitched the entire killer already... so why haven't flashlights been killswitched until they can fix it?

Am I finally senile? I think I see prestige levels in lobbies.

Either way, a P100 has played quite a bit, but that doesn't mean they're super-good, or that they're going to mess over their team, often they're super-bold so they just die first.

I have more than 125 prestige levels scattered around, I'm pretty good, but none of you should be dodging me. I like unlocking perks, so I end up prestiging killers I don't even play. Most my levels are because of the millions I pumped into the bloodwebs just unlocking perks in the old system. Now I'm prestige 8 and 10 even on Nurse and Huntress, who I never play and really suck with.

Now any character you like playing will have a growing prestige because players have to buy webs for fresh addons. That's me with Bubba. I main Dredge now, but I like certain addons with Bubba that keep his P going up for just that reason. I'm not going to get way better with him, I played him for years and now I'm all about the Dredge. The number will go up, though.

You can get a whole lot of points in this game without winning, even without almost winning. Playing against differing levels of player is a good thing. If the MMR sticks you there, maybe it's right. If it's wrong, blame it. You got points and maybe learned something new.

It's still in testing, so not everyone has it turned off for them.

when you read my other comments, you see that you are running down open doors (as we say in germany). show the survivor side everything what a killer can see (except what killer they go against) and i am happy. and i think everybody else too... As i said the only thing that should left hidden is the killer. In a game like DBD its necessery to have that little bit of advantage. and please dont come with TCM lobby. Its 3 vs 4 so its almost equal teams...

So show them everything but what actually matters? I mean... what does prestige actually tell you? So I am I a Pig main. I have a P60 or so Pig lets say, so if I am running Myers... Hmm P1. Okay, so wht do you actually know? Nothing. You don't now the experience I have with Pig. You don't know that maybe I am cracked with Myers, just never spent points on him because I am so good I don't need to. Unless you know which killer it is, which absolutely should not happen, and I say that even as someone who fully admits I'd lobby dodge Doctors because he makes my physically ill to go against (those who are autistic understand.)

Oh man, I haven't heard of that title in a long time. I think I had a physical copy I got from Gamestop at one point, but I can only vaguely remember having it for a short time. Could you imagine the content you'd get from something like that? GOLD!

Yea, it's back now, sort of. It's run on private servers. NCSoft is aware and at this time they don't care as long as no profit is made. One of the servers is also allegedly in negotiations with them to try to buy the rights, but has been for a few years. Even back when it was first shut down Neil Gaiman and Mercedes Lackey tried to buy the rights but NCSoft allegedly wanted 80 million dollars for the IP and no way even Neil Gaiman can afford that. Too bad Bill Gates wasn't a fan, huh? LOL

  • So since this is the off-topic forums, any of you out there old players of City of Heroes/City of Villains? I was just reminded of this. They had a "demorecord" and "demoplay" feature that you could record a game session to a text file, then play it back later. So players quickly figured out how simple these text files were to create manually, and voila:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGF0MYORADE

I wish DBD had something like this.

  • The problem is the current exploit has become so rampant, they need to just killswitch flashlights already.

  • @Hex_Ecution said:

Its pretty annoying when i get destroyed by a group with 2 or sometimes 3 P100 or almost P100 Players. I want to see what opponents i have before i get in the game so i can decide, if i dodge the lobby or i try it.

When I can see what killer and his/her prestige is so I can "lobby-shop" as a survivor? Sure. I absolutely want to know if I am going against a killer that gives me extreme sensory overload as an autistic (there is actually only one.) I will then lobby dodge and let the survivors get a teammate that will actually be useful.

The fact is, prestige means next to nothing in the grand scheme, it's just bragging rights. I have a P60 Jill Valentine but what does that really mean? Oh, I'll just play Renato, he's only P1 (just an example.) Am I suddenly a noob? No, because I am still the player with a P60 Jill Valentine.

In fact, one of my friends is a Nea main, but since she got P100 Nea, she's been playing Yui because she's a streamer and with everyone dodging her Nea, she's been hiding on Yui so she doesn't spend 20 minutes in a queue waiting for a killer to not dodge her.

  • They need to just killswitch flashlights already. I know that sucks for those not using this exploit, but really. This is a game-breaking unfair exploit, and it needs to be dealt with in a clear and decisive manner until a patch is written. This is what the killswitch is supposed to be for. Who cares if a survivor can jump on top of a pallet? The devs do... they will killswitch a perk that lets it so why not killswitch flashlights?

  • Honestly after seeing this video by SkyFaction, I've been doing this alot. It's so fun.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anladTkB2DA
  • I've been taking a short break from the game but returning this week and I just wanted to come here and say THANK YOU. I've been asking for this to be a thing for months now.

  • @IHSGames said:

They'res only 2 survivors left and one of them are slugged for the 4k.

Its honestly not fun being slugged for the 4k because really, it's just the Killer being greedy. Theres no reason to do so other than BP and bragging rights, youve already won if you hook the survivor and get a 3k. Basically sitting a survivor out of 4 minutes so you can gain the satisfaction of a 4th kill.

And even as the survivor getting chased, unless your Ayrun or something, youre not lasting 4 minutes and any additional time finding hatch. So youre just #########.

So I think when 1 of the survivors is down when 2 are remaining, they should gain unlimited unbreakable basekit. This will make it to where the killer is forced to hook the survivor if they really want to secure the kill or theyll just keep getting up instead of denying a whole game mechanic, aka hatch, so you can get an extra nearly meaningless kill.

Then they'd have to change the requirements for the Killer Adepts. Plus, if they slug for the 4k, it's not really that big of a deal unless they lose you, which you can wait for crows to tell them where you are. It's only really an issue when they intentionally bleed you out, and even then... eh, go get a snack or something.

As a player of both sides, I don't think trying to go for a 4K and make sure the last survivor doesn't get hatch is "greedy" it's just something some killers choose to do. The idea that a 3K with the last survivor getting the hatch is a "win" is something completely up to the player. I know that's Otz's chosen win conditions when he does his streaks, so many players, especially survivor mains, see that as a "win" but not all killer players would agree with Otz. To them, a 4K is a win, and that's what they want. That's not greedy, it's just their chosen way to play.

  • I am a Pig main, so I'd say she's very fun. My two favorite things to do is run what I jokingly call my "Perkless Pig" build where I bring only end game perks (Blood Warden, No Way Out, Remember Me, Terminus) and then try to get a 4K before the last generator is completed and the perks activate. I call it "perkless pig" because like a tree falling in the forest, if the perks don't get used, did you bring them?

Then the second I got the idea from YouTuber SkyFaction. It's insanely funny, most survivors are good sports, but you do occasionally get those that are salty about it. Just say GL your next games to them and move on.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anladTkB2DA

Her Ambush ability is trash, so don't even try to use it unless a survivor is trapped at a dropped pallet. A better use for it is to crouch at loops and then immediately stand up again. Survivors will almost always expect you to ambush and will typically pre-run to the next loop.

Never chase a survivor with an active trap. Pig has the best passive slowdown in the game. Make use of it.

Pig, like most killers, is weakest in the early game. Perks like Corrupt Intervention are a Godsend.

As a Pig main, you are legally required to uphold the Law of Booping. If a survivor Boops your Snoot, you must let them live (1 boop per match is all that the Law requires).

Unless you put on your black jacket, then you're exempt from the law.

They were shareable until the 7.1.2a patch that fixed the DLC issues with Stadia players, that’s why i’m asking if the change it’s intentional or not.

Yea, so many are saying this is a new change to Steam's policy, but it's not. Steam has ALWAYS had this policy with their family sharing. You share the base game and all DLC, but the second the secondary account buys the base game, you lose all DLC. However they had the option for the developers to choose otherwise. So while it is possible Steam decided to stop allowing BHVR to make an exception, or else it's a bug.

  • I tend to play Killer when I am solo, survivor with friends. But yes, I do both. I do survivor solo a lot more when there is tome challenges I want to complete, especially when they are the dumb "throw the match to get this challenge done" crap.

I remember this change - I understand it but I feel compensation for the nerf wasn't that great but I try to think what power level is she meant to be with her kit in the first place.

This is what I imagine is going through BHVR's mind when they make strange changes - It may not be strong or weak it's just ticking enough boxes on what they want to be consistent across the board with all killers on how something behaves.

That being said there are some balance changes I don't understand what takes so long unless a full rework is planned. Notably Alchemist Ring for Blight. I'd have to understand BHVR's pipeline with balancing to really get in their mind and not view the change poorly.

Well, yes I understand it on paper, except... Pig is the only killer that actually follows this "design philosophy" then and even more so now.

I do all the boops even if it kills me 😂

I'm going to guess they are piggies that just don't know how to enjoy a good head pop. Or they're just angry piggies. 😂

It's true, we do get angry sometimes, but usually we wear black leather jackets then.

How do you fix error code 4 on a egs copy of dbd

Um, not sure what an EGS copy is for sure, but I assume maybe "Epic Game Store" so then have they tried verifying the integrity of the game files? Should be able to do this on both the Steam and Epic versions of the game.

  • I want Phantasm myself.

Also, Tree from Happy Death Day as a paragraph.

  • I started the game during Rift 6, and didn't have enough time to finish it (I have like just the shirt of Dwight's "Office Santa" which was on the free track and has NOT been added to the store, so I only have the shirt and it annoys me so much) so I didn't buy it, but I've bought and completed every one since.

  • Just had this match today, first thing they said was completely censored, then I said ggwp, they said I was trash, then the rest is this. The last one is about weight. Thing is, I briefly considered slugging for the 4K, but went ahead and Mori'd the other Meg and let that Meg that escaped have a chance for hatch, and this is the thanks I get?

Yea, survivors want to ask why killers sometimes will slug for the 4K or not give hatch? This is why.

One especially funny thing I've done over the past 6 years is that if I find the last survivor trying to open the exit gate I'll play a little game of chicken with them.

I'll very slowly inch towards them while they try to open the gate. If they constantly freak out and run from the exit gate switch they'll die to the EGC. If they hold their nerve and continue holding the switch even as I inch into grab range they get to escape.

It's one of those things that just always makes me laugh. 95% of survivors hold their nerve and escape, but for some reason when a survivor chickens out and dies from fear to the EGC it's just SO FUNNY.

I do something similar, sort of based on a video by YouTuber SkyFaction. I am "friendly" Pig staying crouched the entire match, then when the last generator is done, I stand up. Now, I am running Game Afoot, Franklin's Demise, Hex: No One Escapes Death, and Rancor. If the survivors walk to the exit gate and leave, no problem. But if I see scratch marks, I chase. I down them. NOED procs as does Game Afoot and they get Rancor.

So, one game I'd killed two of them, and I see this Jane opening the exit gate. I walk up to her. She keeps opening it, doesn't flinch. She walks to the door as it opens, the when it opens she breaks into a run and I down and Rancor her. One rule: DON'T RUN.

I would absolutely hate that, just like how i hate how Plague's map is set in Red Forest despite the fact that it's from Babylonia, so it should have been moved to something like Eyrie of Crows or better, just given it's own realm altogether to fit a desert environment.

I still hate how MacMillan, Autohaven and Coldwind have multiple variants, however it's understandable that they exist since they're from a time where the quantity of maps was really low.

Only map that fits an existing realm was Sanctum of Wrath, that's literally the only exception. I hope they continue to give each killer their own realm so we can continue to let each killer have a completely unique home map every time and reduce RNG from map offerings.

There is reason for that. The Plague's temple was brought TO THE RED FOREST by the Entity. All the realms are created by the Entity, based on what the Entity chooses Sure, they could move it to the desert, but it fits in the Red Forest because that's where The Entity chose to place it within the Entity's "copies" of the realms.

You're really not, but okay. 3% Haste has nothing on 15% Hindered (Clown) and nobody gets juiced by Pig.

I get 4Ks before the last generator is done using a purely end game build. I jokingly call it my "Perkless Pig" build as if you never get value out of any of your perks, did you bring them?

Even today in end game chat got told how bad I am, how I am angry and depressed and that's why I play Pig. This from a Meg I decided to let get hatch rather than slug for the 4K. Last time I make that mistake. Everyone dies.

I feel like the changes intention is they want things to be centralized around a killers power and even if Demogorgon is not problematic this addon checked enough boxes on things they intend to normalize among all killers with a specific set of rules. I cannot recall which dev said it but it was mentioned that other addons are also problematic but this one was easier to change regarding coding. They likely have a list of problematic ones or addons that do not follow new generalized rules they plan to keep addons inline with and this one just checked enough boxes.

Not saying it's a good change but I'm trying to rationalize why. That being said I don't think it's going to kill the killer - At least other addons were buffed and personally I'll take more accessible common / uncommon addons getting buffed that I'll use every game over an iri.

Sounds like back when they nerfed Pig by making her follow some "rule" that she's one of the few (if not only) killers that still follow the rule. That's one of the reasons "Nerf Pig" became such a meme.... They gave reasons for their nerfs, which made sense but then released new killers that by all right SHOULD follow the same rules as Pig, but doesn't. Her terror radius was changed from 24m to 32m to "standardize killer terror radius based on movement speed" but later killers don't follow this rule (and still don't.)

This video explains, it should start right at 3:15 with the explanation of the nerf.

  • They need to buff Pig.

I see what you mean. I just had a match as skill merchant where the Feng and Mikaela were definitely speed hacking from one pallet to another without getting hit once. Bloodlust 3 and I didn't catch up. I think they called themselves thing 1 and thing 2

Yea, I had that vs. a Kate the other day... even with full bloodlust I couldn't catch up to her... She did have Sprint Burst and Windows though, sooo maaaybe she was just really adept at looping with windows? Can't really say. Too bad EAC doesn't work like it's supposed to.

Male survivors are going much further than they should There are tons of videos about it. It is so bad that in the tutorial, you are supposed to vault a window and get stuck in a trap, and you don't get stuck in the trap, because you vault clean over it.

Wow, even the killer bots are whining now? Kidding, but that's funny. But, as you say, it's also proof that this isn't as the OP says, just killers whining, it's an actual issue that needs to be fixed, and in the mean time, that means returning it to normal. Hopefully by the time Alien comes out they can properly fix and test proper vaults. We'll see.

I guess the solution would be locking lobbies and not allowing players to dodge them.

That would work, but I think that's the nuclear option. How about don't show Prestige in the lobby? Like, what is the purpose other than bragging? Why do I need to know that I am going against 4 P100 before the match? Most killers would be intimidated by that and dodge the lobby.

Even as a survivor.. Unless I am wearing full Legacy outfits (which I don't have, but speaking hypothetically) the killer doesn't need to know how many points I've spent on my character.
