this is just not true, recently played against him and died because his bite fully blocks the gate, even when i animation cancelled and one teammate heal teched

All you need to do is the same thing when wesker slams you in gate area with virulent bound and then m1 you just be on the edge and you will be able to escape before he can pick you up (if he has save the best then he will get you), same with goul he hits you with power you rand to the end of exit gate, he will m1 you and before he can pick you up you will be out. Only killers that can maybe get you with basekit are twins and houndmaster but Im not sure if devs didnt change it ( I dont count addons like the knights one). If the killer has something that lowers his cooldown from m1 he cant get you before you can crawl out that all you need to know and dont stay injure in gates area against slinger, wesker, houndmaster maybe knight and ofcourse mayers if he has tombstone.

It's crazy that BHVR uses the Nurse as an excuse to create more overpowered killers because Nurse is the strongest killer and is available to everyone for free. Meanwhile Springtrap is easy to play almost as easy as The Ghoul and get free wins left and right.

He is harder than huntress and little bit stronger because he has more things in his basekit, ghoul id solid a-tier but with no antiloop (vaulting over palett/window is not that strong, he needs to do this when he is right behind survivors and still the loop wall needs to be long for him to catch up, without kidnap tech this doesnt work well) and cant down you with his power.

  • I think you can unhook with victor on your bach which is more less realistic but they also removed doctor ability to stop unhook, survivor should be able to unhook in every situation and pay back is they loose antitunnel like basekit bt,ds,otr only thing that stayes but cant be used in animation is dead hard.

  • @Willish said:

I can't believe they have left Haddonfield with 7 pallets for this long. two of those are edge map pallets and useless.

True we have map like haddonfield and then map like gideon there are like 2-4 god pallets and strong loops that can be played just by predroping, there should be more map balance changes.

  • True but we have to wait for antitunnel and more anticamp, antislug changes and see how much impact they have on the game for killer and then maybe in 2+ years devs will react.

  • @Xernoton said:

Killers will stop tunneling the moment they are replaced by bots. Until then, there will always be killers that try to tunnel. Even if survivors got a base kit DS with infinite duration and 3 minutes stun time some Killers would still tunnel.

I'd probably do it just for the added challenge at that point.

Tunneling will be super rare (it wont stop for 100% thats fact) the moment it wont be more rewarding and demanding by the game than spreading hooks, look at it this way if you play weak killer than you cant 3 hook everyone and more hooks you get and less kills survivors will get more gens done and also they will get strong perks like dead hard, ds,otr (one of strongest perks that serve as antitunneling tool but are more hurting the ones that arent tunneling). Like with otr you can get healed and go bodyblock and m1 killer will have to hit you 3 times thats a lot for weak killer. Dead hard you will keep it and use it the moment you arent tunneled but near gate and killer will get nothing, if he tunneled you you would be dead or you would use it and he would get you in the same situation thats just true. Every time I dont tunnel some survivors just want me to go after them because they want use their perks on me and waste my limited time. The key thing is tunneling is more rewarding then spreading hooks thats fact every x thousands hour palyer will agree on and antitunnel perks just hurt more the killer that isnt tunneling in long run.

The biggest problem is spreading hooks is super bad because its not possible on weaker killers and still reward for doing it is giving much more time to survivors for finishing gens and makes killer weaker the game progress, somethimes you need to tunnel because minus one survivor is great thing and for some situation its required if the killer still wants to get kills, when he doesnt get then the game says to him he lost and survivors are more toxic when they win thats fact going from the game first days.

Oh please. I may have just joined the forums, but I've peeked in off and on for years.

You've been insisting that the Survivors are weaker in spite of every Survivor buff for years.
Survivors have had everything they want handed to them basekit so they can still play META, and they still want more, more, and more.

I'd say Survivors want NPC Killers, but what they really want is NPC Killers with human players tied down to play them, so they can taunt a human while still getting the EZ wins they demand with every update.

    Case in point:
People wanted a QoL feature (I cannot remember which one off the top of my head). The devs threw in gen-kicking limitations at the same time, because Survivors need to be coddled.

Survivors wanted anti-tunneling. Were given basekit BT. Whine it's not enough.

Survivors wanted anti-camping. Were given a literal anti-camp timer. Whine it's not enough.

Killers wanted a way to regress exit gates for over 5 years. What does BHVR do? Make it a perk, which ruins METAs. Because Killers don't deserve nice things.

Survivors have been gift-wrapped multiple ways to counter Killer tactics they hate, all without messing up META perk loadouts.
And yet you really think the game has not been Survivor-sided for years?
You either have 0 clue, or you're outright lying.

A SWF 4-man with 16 META perks will wipe the floor with ANY Killer by any player, regardless of perks, except the top 0.5% players like Otzdarva.
But Survivors will wave their hands and say 'That does not count!' Because they want more basekit BS. More Killer hand-tying, and more easier wins.

True with the last point strong 4man can destroy killers like nothing thats why in turnament there are rules because if survs could bring any perks and items even strongest nurses and blights would feel the sweat thats fact. Game still had few broken things that werent bugs on survivor side few years back like boons (coh), or like for the people+buckle up that thing could give survivor escape and was something simular like old instaheals, what was strongest thing killers got first version of ghoul, now the game is quite balanced but there is still huge gap in power range for killers like nurse, blight vs trapper, ghostface or solo q and 4 man swf.

  • Im afraid devs will fix her after knight.

  • Its the door soung buged? But trueth is anlien is loud when he goes out of tunnel, sadoko, dredge even demogorgan is super loud and makes sound on all map when he uses tp, fact is door is quiete and on top of that springtrap is invisible for second which deosnt help much (you can see his eyes and knife).

  • Nostalgia is tricky thing, you like to remember how funny old DBD was but in reality the game was mess from balance view, old dead hard was in the game it was called palett vacum, killer was joke exept nurse and save the best combo or old mories, so many broken things like instaheals, no exhaustion block when running, and many more broken things so I dont miss it that much.

Play against a good huntress and then a good springtrap, the huntress will destroy you so much more.

His axe is not really faster at loops but has more opportunities to hit, for that it has a lot less hitbox for survivors and a lot more for objects.

Stealth is still irrelevant because you can hear the direction he's coming from. On open fields you can spot him anyways so there's also no surprise especially because he needs to be 2 meters besides you it feels like because that's his max range xD

115% might be better for m1 chases but most of the time it's not worth playing m1 anyways if you can hit with the axe.

Many addons from him have downsides and even the ones that don't have any are really not that strong, don't know what exactly you mean. I'd take less cooldown after throwing and faster pulling of the hatchet any day.

In the end we'll probably don't give up so I'd end it here and call it a draw :D

Reallz good huntress is very strong but how many huntress matches you get stah one that can hit you out of nowhere very rare so on average springtrap is better.

I don't know in which world you live but he's for sure not stronger than ghoul if played right alone because of the inability of survivors to do anything against the first hit and ability to catch up fast. Huntress we can talk about but even there I won't agree with you, he's simply weaker with his lower range, smaller hitbox and his weird grab that's simply not that usefull - his teleport and stealth is nice I guess, but is countered by itself because of his loud steps. I know he's bugged so the stealth is pretty effective at the moment, but as soon as that's fixed that's not that good anymore.

Second thing he is better huntress for sure, he has one shot but its trajectory is better on loops than huntress and speed is better too, when he uses axe he is 115% speed from 110% thats better for chase, he has mobility with stealth something huntress doesnt have and his addons are better, so yeah he is stronger than huntress and stronger than slinger (slinger is better at chase thats all he can do, hope devs buff his terror radius to 24m) thats fact. His axe is just better on loops because its faster and much harder to doge.

Im not claiming he is stronger than ghoul only the fact springtrap has better antiloop dont you agree? Ghoul is stronger but his antiloop isnt that strong as many players think, springtrap on other hand can destroy you on lower loops easier than ghoul thats all.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/448502/the-animatronic-feels-like-huntress-on-steroids

"Huntress on steroids" just that he feels like a worse version of her. Sure he might be able to throw over some loops in close range you couldn't or just hardly do as huntress, but he's just worse in any other aspect of his axe.

The teleport is nice but to be honest huntress can preassure survivors more with her range if used well.

The stealth is pretty good I give you that, but he also has super loud steps so it's more of a meh.

The grab threw me over more than 5 times already because they forced me to stand still for that but then canceled it. Also it's pretty much in m1 range and therefore not really worth to try for.

Also his hitboxes are pretty horrible, his hitbox for survivors is super small and for objects huge. So you often can't throw close to a wall AND you miss often even if you touch them already xD

All in all he's just a worse version of huntress at least for me, well I also played her a lot more than him.

He is ofcourse better than huntress his axe is more like uknow but in huntress version, his axe has same max distance as slinger but fall more down which is better on loops, low loops are super hard against him he isnt crazy but he is strong I would say a-tier or high b-tier deffinitly he is stronger in chase than ghoul because he has antiloop and when his axe is out then he is m1 speed. Only thing that is pain is glitchtrap skin because he doent have heavy footsteps but non sound so his stealth is much more oppresive, overall he is solid killer and if you struggle against his grab then you must play against him like against huntress but after getting hit fast swith counterplay against his m1 form and dont run into dead zones where he can grab you or save infront of him.

Playing any Non-M1 Killer is a detriment with high ping. Especially A-S tier Killers.

Nurse blinks? They take extra long, and you lose 2nd blink distance because the game doesn't register you holding it for the duration of your ping, despite the "timer" going down.

Blight, you won't be able to wait the full duration between rushes

Billy, chainsaw will start charging 300ms late, same for Wesker, Singularity, Twins, Wraith, Cenobite, Demogorgon… Oh wait, that's literally everyone.

A Killer double backing from a pallet will also get hit because their delayed self is still there.

Why are we pretending that ping is this one-sided, evil thing? Sure it's easy to talk about how the 300ms guy hit you through a window, but what about the 4 hatchets the Huntress missed because those 300ms are an extra wait duration that gives you the time to make a play? Get to safety?

(For the record, I am NOT advocating for VPN. VPN shouldn't be used for gaming. I'm talking about the second part of his post where people with bad internet shouldn't play)

True most killers powers dont work well with high ping, the active ones like rushes, dashes, tenticle strike.

  • Isnt it better with crows now, like killers thing you afk and then boom he gets hit.

  • As survivor you can leave when you lost by all your team slugged or when killer can mori you by default, as killere you can abandon when survivors are hiding for 10 minutes not doing their objective or when you are last player in the lobby (all survivors left). So as survivor you can leave in almost all losing situations and as killer you can leave just when you dont want to clean up bots or you dont want to look for some hiding survivors. I mentioned it earlier whats killer point when gates are open, all you can do is try to get more hooks/kills or go and force survivors out, just lost situations most of times not all killers can get kills in end game or protect hooked survivor when 2 or 3 other survivors come for rescue. So only thing abandom option for killer would do in this moment when gates are open is just save time and not give survivors the satisfaction of victory, same thing killer is robbed when he is about to mori last survivor by basekit, survivor can just abandon and dont stay to see the mori quite double standart isnt it?

If someone is tunnelling with Pig then honestly, they need to find a different killer. She has built in passive slowdown (traps), and tunnelling just throws that away. I actually love playing Pig but people who tunnel with her confuse me. The trap keeps the survivor/s busy while Pig applies pressure elsewhere.

That slowdown wont help you much when you get first down on 2 gens and thats normal for c-tier killer like pig, she has many things in her kit but nothing is good as her traps only problem is her traps need downs to work and thats what pig struggles with as any m1 without antiloop, her ambush is weaker than chuckys dash before his buffs.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

Ghostface if anything needs a little buff.

He's weak against swfs but so is everything else. We're talking about solo queue. These are players who don't have the comms necessary to deal with it

Still ghost face isnt that strong agains solo q, thats like only reason he isnt at the bottom same as trapper. Biggest killers in this game are solo q teammates thats a fact but this post must be another troll shaming d-tier killer maybe bottom c-tier.

  • I think you missed april, he is like top 5 worst/weakest killers in the game and still there are palyers that think they are op He just needs some solid buffs to his basekit same as skull merchant, mayers(tier 3 more chase oriented), trapper and so on.

  • I think there are only 3 ways one is purple tombstone+fast stalk, second is purple hair+ fast stalk and last is weaker mirror( one where you re tier2)+ smaller terror radius or some random combo but this works best.

For your question no I havent seen mayers some time and Im not suprised.

  • So what you mean is you can abandon without some proper cause, still slugging for 4k isnt so easy with some killers and most times only slows game but it wont work to killers favor, some survivor perks can deal with this easily. If you want to end just dc or wait for slug, go down.

Pig is the only killer in the game that gets rewarded for NOT tunneling. I agree, that her main issue is her early game. Thats why I usually use lethal to get my first down quickly.

Shes underwhelming compared to your typical a-tier killer. For me, she couldnt be more perfect. Depends on what you want from a killer.

She has lot of things exept mobility and her stealth is kinda weak, her dash attack is probably weakest in the game, only thing that stands up is her slowdown with traps but you need down fast on new survivors and that is thing she struggles. I think she got another undirect nerf, her boxes have the same spawn place as other killer things so now it should spawn near gens not somewhere in the corner of the map which will hurt her little just like save the best nerf etc..

  • @KueenKara said:

Plus the hatchet hitboxes are broke he's hit me through cars

His hatchet falls more down, more than huntress and hatchet speed seems like the same as huntress charged hatchet, just run to high loops if you can or try to doge it but its hard on low loop when he is clouse.

  • You can play stealthy, you just cant be hiding and not doing your objective thats all nothing bad.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3944928#Comment_3944928

No he doesn't. Pig is a LOT better than people give her credit for. She had a good amount of buffs that make her a decently strong c-tier killer.

People are just so used to her being underwhelming, that the always resort to calling her weak while not even trying to understand her strengths.

She is still underhelming, if she cant get downs fast she will struggle a lot thats why most pigs tunnel a lot because they need too.

  • Depends who you play against. Normal players get trapped, good swf can be nightmare and the addons, perks and skill, knowledge and effort from your side needs to be big, more than palying some different killer who can do much more even when you didnt play with him much like blight ( if you dont know hot to use his power still you get mobility, antiloop and you are able to catch up to any survivor without hard thinking compare to trapper).

Im curious about this, how is Nemesis a good design and engaging in chase while Alien is not (you mentionned Alien in your first post).

Nemesis's tentacle has a 0.35s windup while Alien has 0.3, so it's almost the same. Old Alien was 0.2s which made the tail strike unreactable and complained about, but now they are very, very similar in term of actual counterplay.

Tentacle is even stronger with more range and utility while Alien has to deal with infinite turrets that forces it to eat a "free bodyblock" and be revealed at all time.

I don't know if this is bias towards Alien or Nemesis or if i am missing something but saying Nemesis is healthy and Alien isn't in a chase scenario is a bit of a mystery to me.

I'd say, Nemesis is even more difficult to hold in chase compared to Alien, especially if you have turrets nearby.

Now alien wont be too gar from nemesis his tail is easier to react now but his tunnels should work now as intended, devs said they fixe the issue for many killers spawning chests before killer objectives/powers, so this change made killers like alien, sadako much harder to play or leave sadoko almost powerless. From what I have seen with springtrap his doors spawn next every gen sometimes facing the gen which is huge for many killers like alien.

Idk if its effects killers like wesker, nemi chests and singularity emps but I think it does so its small nerf for them and maybe small buff for plague if it effects fontains too.

  • If you are scared the killer will grab you then use them the same way as solving pinheads cube plus when someone is in chase, nothing is more funnier when at the start of the game meg use them and she gets insta grabbed.

False. Legion has to actually hit you with his power. Ghoul does not. I could have a pallet between me and the killer. Guess what? I still get hit

For legion is easier to hit you than ghoul after his nerfs, yes ghoul can hit you from bigger distance and stun you in animation but when you are covered and run behind some blockers then he gets enraged but you dont get hit. You will get hit through palett, window if you are 2 meters from his hitbox, still I dont think thats issue you wont go down and theres some object between you and the killer, you will go to deep wound and he will get enraged but its like you hit dead hard you will get distance and he must go around the object between you so this isnt bad as it sounds, only weak loopers get panicky when they are injured against killer and the arent on death hook.

True but him exiting portal is realy quite (he is invisiable for like 1-1.5 seconds) compare to alien, sadoko, demogorgon, dredge.

  • This makes sence because there are almost all killers like blight ,billy, nurse. spirit, ghoul you wont see weak killers there taht much. Truth is low mmr is more killersided beacause there are 40+ killers in the game and survivors are inexperienced and add soloq to it and it will make sence, top mmr is 50/50 (if we dont count few weaker killers) with strongest killers vs good survivors and comp teams or swf.

  • @Nazzzak said:

The devs said their stats show that on average killers kick a singular gen much less than 8 times, which is why they chose that number of regression events. They didn't anticipate many killers will reach that amount, and in my experience thats been the case. If you were kicking gens 10+ times pre-update, then it sounds like you were the one of those players this change was targeted toward.

Gen kock limit is ok but the kicking perks that have been nerfed to oblivion before devs came with ideo of kick limit for gens, so they should buf thoose perks (call of brine, overcharge).

Now they buffed call of brine but 150% is joke, it should be 200+ but thats what I dont like gen kicking meta was strong so devs nerfed perks hard, then 3gening was issue so they come up with idea giving gens kick limit to fix both issues which is good but they forget to buff thoose perks they nerfed hard because theres no need for them to be this weak now.

  • With dash power I think it would get more sales than Five Nights at Freddys.

Houndmaster, Ghoul, Dracula, Vecna, Chucky, Alien all just feel the same and it doesn’t feel like a change in gameplay. 6/8 killers that have released have been snooze fest and I’ve been forced to take multiple breaks from the game.

Houndmaster don’t have to explain extremely boring I will never enjoy playing against this killer call the dog, grab me, free hit rinse repeat.

Ghoul free hit with no effort for injure, zone me with the leap hit make stupid noises rinse reapeat.

Dracula same thing zone me for free hit pull out the hand for a hit rinse repeat same with the dog.

Vecna kinda fun to play against outplaying the use of mage hand or whatever after that boring M1 killer.

Chucky extremely boring only one way to down doesn’t have much of a kit. Get snd on cooldown zone rinse repeat.

Alien come out the tunnel get a hit zone or get hit over a pallet or small loop.

Houndmaster - she ist that strong after nerf, quite easy to doge the hound and if you dont want to think whe playing against her just camp paletts and wait when dog grabs you on her move thats all, look behind your self when you hear a whistle

Ghoul - almost free hit after the nerf of the grab(harder than legion), cant shift+w him and he cant use power after breaking palett so no brute force catch up/zoning, he must m1 you to go down, sounds can be irritating, he is strong but he has counterplay (more than blight, nurse, singularity, billy)

Dracula- strong kit with 3 powers that can be good in many sitiations still his hellfire is easy to doge, wolf is just wesker/demo hybrid, bat can be more juked than spirit, he is quite hard but strong killer

Vecna- just weaker version of dracula with more counterplay and some bugs that will be fixed this patch

Chucky- in his second weakest state he ever been, nothing crazy and super rare killer to face

Alien- after his last changes his tail got solid nerf and counterplay for it is now solid just like against nemi, you have flame turrets that slow him down and tell you how far he is plus when he exits tunnel, easier to bait on windows and palets now he cant drag it like nemi, after all just avarage killer and super rare more than chucky and vecna

First three I get you dont like them but last three you mentioned are quite rare to get and thea arent super strong killers (houndmaster too) but I get it its hard to do good against them when you seem them like 1 in 90 games or something like that.

  • Tbh what killer is fun for survivor?

Many survivors enjoy killers like wesker, huntress, wraith and to my suprise blight. So every trap killer, killers that get first hit or have some solid/unfun antiloop, ai power (knight, houndmaster) are unfu for the most.

So next killer to be fun must be some well endowed lady with dash power.

The fact that you guys keep pretending like teabagging at gate and slugging and bleeding out are the same thing is hilarious. The Devs on here have already said that it’s not the same as the killer has agency to force survivors out or force an endgame mistake that gets you an extra kill or two. You don’t have to stand there and watch them teabag. Go break pallets and farm points or force them out with hits which also gets you points. Survivors being bled out have no agency to do anything. Thats from the devs.

Its not but slugging is like someone breaking your leg in marathon knowing you cant run, tbagging in exit is like spiting into your face form place they know you cant do anything about it.

Still sucks when even mid add-ons get destroyed for no reason though

Nothing special, just dont you know how is it with artist addons change, are they valid or not (they gutted all her addons just to get more addon variety for her old bhvr fassion).

  • For anyone wondering this is not the issue when survivor is almost behind something (loop, wall, etc.) and you dont hit him, that depends on killers, server and survivors conection. What Im talking about is when you hit hatchet directly into survivor from behind and you get hist sound, hatchet just disappears and nothing happens.
