Killer behavior is why the abandon feature was even added.

Then we have similar scenarios like 3 gens which were created in 90% by survivors rushing all gens clousest to them, creating so called 3 gens. Then things like gen kicking perks as meta and killers like skull metchant were cherry on top and what happened 3 grns are super rare snd got fixed.
Yes some killers slug on 5 gens and tunnel but for me slugging entire team wasnt my main objective, it was survivor mistake like being injured on highly progressed gen when i played killer capable doing the slug and their poor decisions on positioning.

Its like unhooking teammate on dead hook 5 seconds after killer hooked him. What do you expect him to do, when you serve kill right into his face almost free.

Recently got back into Onryo, obviously having little idea as to how exactly she works after being changed for the fifth time, but anyways I dominated the first match using a window chase build with Bamboozle and Unbound. The TV placements and her speed add-on were a lot of fun and the placement of her TV's on pale rose are what made it fun. However, on other maps like RPD, the placements are so atrocious that some of the TV's were outright useless.

Then we have Xenomorph who has fantastic placements for his tunnels. I'm not saying it needs to be as good given her speed boost, but please not unless. Its always a huge downer when a killers power is only as good as the map.

Onryo, plague and xeno can be affected by chest offerings (idk why, its either bug or someone didnt think what should have higher priority).

One time I had game as xeno on rpd and all tunnels were on one side of the map exept one that was on other side on second floor alone. Still I believe higher spawn priority should have gens, hooks, killer powers/objective, totems and then chests.

  • Yes its true being sluged is much longer but its basically same thing, you cand do almost nothing as killer when gates are open and no survivor is in weak position ( hooked, downed, chased, injured far from exit), so I think giving killer abandon option is fair and is solid quality of life change, you just did what you could and dont want spend time waiting to end the game with clear end so you move on, and spend the same time finding new lobby.

  • Some players want weak opponenst (m1 killers) or just nurse, blight maybe billy and then wraths, trappers, legions, wraiths and all weak m1.

Look at blight as exemple he is mechanicly hard ok, but still he can brute force you like nothing more than current ghoul, he is always behind you and some loops you cant use longer walls like against m1 killers or he will catch you with rushes. Idk what many players liked about playing agaist his hug tech, he could use it almost on every loop and it wasnt that hard( easier than pin pong play and flicks), all it was about will he fail to do it correctly and miss you, like nurse blink but with more restrictions( will she hit it or not).

  • Plague is solid killer buts for high mmr survivors she is weak without addons, if you dont relay on addons than tana is good way to get some corupt pools faster than normal but smarter survivors will be more rushing gens and wont give corupt that much, so you are just super tall m1 with oneshot.

  • Night time looks cool, hope it wont be too dark like old moon offerings.

  • Well you can buts its same mentality as just wait to bleed out when sluged it will take only 4 minutes. Killer can force survivors out but its pointles when gates are open and timer is running, just waisting killers time if he wants to move on, same issue if last surv standing is lugged and waiting for killer to miri him, dont you think?

What very often happens with 2 is…

    2. Leave the hooked survivor and patrol generators. The killer doesn't find anyone, because all the other survivors are hiding, and are waiting for the killer to be far away from the hook. The hooked survivor gets unhooked while the killer is far away, and the killer still hasn't found anyone else to chase.

Summary: There often isn't a "Leave the hook and go get into chase immediately", because "you still have one survivor on gens" isn't guaranteed.

Some player wont get that, they play only one role and when they play killer then they claim its easy but low mmr for their killer is joke.

It really seems to have become a big issue with killers camping hooked survivors. They seem to know just how far to stay back as not to trigger the time release. Especially the killers with super acceleration they get just far enough to hit a survivor if they get anywhere near unhooking. It's really a bummer. Makes the game no fun at all to play. I see alot.of players just get hooked and give up. I hope they fix this soon.

Look if theres killer with no mobility and possible chase power in situation he has 2-3 hooks on 2 gens and now on the hook is player almoust 70 seconds first stage then its smart play stand by and force him into second stage, thats same if ghousface marks player who is death hook and you bodyblock for him to buy more time for team and him.

the difference in this case, is that survivors can do nothing about the being in dying state, however the killer can do a lot to force survivors out of the match.

Well yes you can force them out but still its time consuming and kinda pointless to do, killers objevtive in endgame is just try to get more hooks and kills but getting them when survivors just won and are in gate are is just pointless (only few killers can have some chance in this situation like slinger, wesker, houndmaster, ghoul had it too but it got nerfed, and still all of them have to play it perfect in very specific situation) hope the abandon mechanic will be added for killer in next 2 years .

  • He is one of the most balanced killers in game. He isnt crazy good if you dont use egg and know his techs. With all he can offer he is low a-tier but on avarage he is higher b-tier. Fun but not crazy op.

And yet some of the strongest Killers are some of the most favorite Killers to go against. E.g. Billy. Wesker as well, people only disliked Wesker because he was so common. And other Killers which are weak (Skull Merchant) or on the weaker side (Legion) are some of the most unfun Killers to go against.

    Strength =/= fun.

Fun maybe but take a blight in example you have less chances to loop him or survive the match compeared to ghoul who is hated almost like skull merchant, blights strongest tech (hug tech) was removed but was loved by many survivors even when it took same skill as playing ghoul to pull and it was super strong for no reason. Now compeare it to weskers hug tech, its super skillfull and hard to pull of (depends on fps but thats anothert thing) and it has counterplay just dont hug loop. Blights hug tech was op as hell, made him to outplay almost every loop but he can still do it without it.

It is holding the game hostage and if they gave it to survivors and not killers it shows a definite 1 sided change to the game. Balance requires that it goes to both sides of the field. Either they need to remove the go next for survivors or offer it to both sides to keep the game balanced

They should but we all know takes them lot of time to make go live.

Idk about camping theres anticamp and many strong perks became basekit for survivor after unhook. If you unhook someone infront of killer and you expect killer like doctor to go down healty person on 2 gens than you should reconsider your life, nothing is fair and not everybody is playing with some empathy and honor thats it, on top of that is just like video game your life savings arent on the table.

If we follow this argument, we should close DBD. EVERYTHING in the game hinders low-tier Killers more than it does high-tier Killers. This is something which cannot be changed, since everything which globally affects Killers and/or Survivors will make bad Killers worse compared to good Killers (if it benefits Survivor) or it will make good Killers better compared to bad Killers (if it benefits Killer).

And well… Even if Babysitter grants a lot of health, a Trapper also has the ability to go after the Unhooker instead of the unhooked person… If they decide against it and go after the unhooked Survivor it is a decision the player made and then they also have to deal with the consequences.

Many players want to play against weak killers because they last longer and is easier to escape. As domeone mentioned above nothing like this hinders strong kilers, they can counter it with one move like nothing. Thats shy i dont get devs took so long to buff a little some killers like mayers ( I know he is licensed but he is in game like six years) .

You get a protection hit, the person you are protecting gets a half sprint burst.

Quite good if you play with friends one hit gets you free sprint burst, but like most perks its not that good alone because team without coordination barely will use it one time.

yea lets compare him to wesker (an actually well balanced killer). Hmm way better mobility, entirely free injure, power aims for you, cooldown when canceling or vaulting is half as long, and skill floor is in the basement. idk i'm starting to think op has a point…

Wesker is well balanced and harder with more limitations, that we will agree on. But still there are more busted characters with less conterplay than kaneki, idk why everybody is so obsessed and triggered with him. Ghoulmainia is over.

  • @Destaice said:

Good mobility is the strongest power a killer can have.

Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Billy, Wraith are strong for how they zoom around the map.

As opposed to Dredge who can only TP to lockers.

The Ghoul's mobility is what makes him strong.

Wraith has good mobility but still he is joke for seasoned survivors. He needs addons and solid perks to have a chance, you can uncloak near survivor and you can bearly hit him with speedboost or he gets to window/palette. Wraith is just not map dependent and easy for beginners thats all he can offer, and some content creators claiming he is a-tier just overestimate him.

  • Wont happen, many survs would be screaming this is unfair they won and as winner they have to enjoy the moment of winning.

  • Genarator can be damaged only 8 times with kicks and perks. This change was made to stop 3gening but only problem was devs forget buff perks like call of brine and overcharge which got nerf before this change.

  • Hope they will know about it and fix it to stop rats holding game hostage.

  • Why is nurse most op killer? Because she is free so the game cant be pay to win, now seriously he is strong but not that crazy and his mobility is now same maybe worst than blights and yes he can move fast around map (in indoor maps he will be slower) and he can get injury pretty fast but, he will have to chase you and down you with m1. He cant brute force you like blight when he breaks pallet and is right behind you in no time + he cant down ou with his power (actually he can but he needs vault something with his power just like wesker and you need to stay still for him to do it).

  • Kidnap tech idk how old this is, claims to be 2 days old. I played like 25 matchest with him and didnt notice any bugs. But if this bug didnt happen she would make it to the window, this works in rare cases.

I think it was great that they did not work with Perks, at least Regression Perks. They should have 100% worked with Killer Powers and if possible with Perks which are no Regression- or Progression-Perks (e.g. Fire Up).

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3937910#Comment_3937910

The Gens had to be fast, since you cannot just sit on them and progress them. Overall I did not really have the Feeling that the games were faster or slower than usual, sure, some Gens were done faster, but it usually slowed down over the progression of the match.

But as I said, the Blood Gens had to be faster, you cannot really have Gens which take 90 seconds AND have to collect Cans for them.

The bigger problem was blood gen regression and action slowdown when 2 survivors worked on it, just good idea with no counterplay, and they were sometimes fast as f you could just done one in 30-40 seconds if you were alone and had blood pump close.

  • I was good idea and change from normal game mode, but blood gens were super fast and on top of that killer powers didnt worked with them was another big hinder and nerf for weak killers (seems devs always find a way to nerf pig). Someone claimed the blood pump spawn locations were on hook spawn idk if its true but from that event some hooks are angled different way then before some on rpd even broken so you cant hook anyone there.

  • Problem is devs arent interested to fixex them/ make them better. What we know they can make solid bots, survivors instaflashing you mid chase, hugging walls tight and knowing where the killer or hatch always is(wallhacks basically) or making solid nurse bot in 2v8 where coconut make video winning only with this nurse bot ( he assisted her as wraith only breaking, picking stuf). Killers like nemis zombies/ houdmaster and knight willalways have buggy power. More interesting that fixing zombies for me would be giving nemesis some mobility like vecna.

Well, I play Wraith. No interest in Dracula. I also play Myers and Chucky, no interest in Nurse or Blight. There is something in this game for everyone, not just those who want to 4k every single game. There's probably only two killers I don't see at all these days - Trickster and Twins - but I actually see alot of variety fortunately when I play survivor. The only exception is around new releases when I'll see the new killer for a few weeks until that settles too.

I'll also add that the recent stats released by the devs show that Wraith is the 4th most picked killer in mid-MMR. Huntress is the 1st, along with Blight, Wesker, and Legion. For high MMR, yes, Blight (1st) and Nurse (5th) were in there but so was Huntress, Wesker, and Freddy.

I play them too but there isnt problem wanting to 4k very often, problem is what all you need to have equiped on wraith to have chance against solid and experienced survivors and what you need on better killer like dracula or spirit.

  • They nerfed range of leap, grab distance, vault speed, enraged time, hit with power after vaulting reduced range and added token loss after breaking the palette then make it doble the time, fixed biggest issue kidnap tech, what else i missed. Some players still think he is top a-tier sorry but i dont think he is above drac, larry, billy. Now he needs more precision more than before and he cant brute force you like before and he must down you with m1( only one of three ways how he can down you, the other two are survivor mistake and big misplay) and chase you down like legion, yes he can catch up with power but not after breaking paletts and indoor maps are his weakness.
The distance change and grab range for survivor is ok but they would need to revert more( vault speed, recharge time after token loss when breaking palett) to not make him less capable then he is now ( he is one of few killers who got nerfed a lot in short time others are chucky and xeno).

  • Blight will still catch up much easier than kabeki or singularity. Singularity has to infect you and coordinated survivors can use emp to make him chase you longer, kaneki is just legion with solid mobility and after nerfs you can still predrop and run to other loop if he breaks because he cant brute force you like blight. Nurse can be juked but still she has to make mistake for you to last longer, oni when enraged is one of the strongest powers in game so he cant be shaken of easily. There are many killers with good catch up mobility but blight and singularity are probably best with enraged oni.

You do not need to hardcore tunnel, slug, or camp at 5 generators left to win a round… as any Killer. We already know if anything, the changes are gonna be as mild as the AFC is and somehow Survivors will STILL find a way to complain. Killer's in a good state if I the average player can play, IDK, Trapper - and not tunnel slug or camp - and STILL get a 60% killrate; it doesn't need these tools to win. At all.

We can stop with this stupid, stupid lie, too. It's also time to stop the "but weaker Killers, they have to do this!" lie too. There are no weak Killers in DBD - just Killers a player personally struggles with. It's time to admit that the metric of "win = gate escape or 3-4k" is and always has been total bullcrap.

No you dont need tunnel on 5 gens but when game is near end somethimes you need tunnel, slug( for preasure) to get a chance to get more hooks and kills. Smart teams can bodyblock m1 killers and make them have super long chases. There are weak killers called m1 but weakest are trapper, skull merchant and 60% winrate doesnt mean every game is 2k and biggest difference is getting 2k with trapper and 2k with blight, one is supper stressed out, ftustrated and sweaty while other one done it with ease almoust relaxed.

New and casual SURVIVOR player because this change alone would wreck and turn away nooby killers.

Have you even thought about this from any other angle than the survivor perspective?

Against semi decent survivor 1-3 gens pop until the fist hook, where they have all their resources to drag ouz the chase.

Now imagine 60/120 seconds into the match with 2-3 gens left, the survivor suddenly have all their resources AGAIN and the killer will need another lengthy chase to get someone on the hook. Which gives the survivor another opportunity for 1-3 gens to pop.

An average match lasts how long? 5-10 minutes? That would mean survivor get ALL their map resources back either 5-10 or 2-4 times PER MATCH.

I really wish they would implement this change, no questions asked, only to show you how the game would implode in days.

This change would destroy all m1 and above only ones that can deal with this are nurse, very skilled blight/billy maybe singularity and dracula and all other killers would need antiloop tool on xeno/nemesis level.

  • You dont, you will have to eat them 2-3 times instead one maybe more if he suggest 60 seconds respawn.

Nurse is broken anyway so I don’t see how this is a valid response

Because respawning pallets are same idea as nurse.

  • Lol 90 sec respawn time for pallets?

80% of killer base would play nurse what think?

  • He does have to down you like legion. All his ways to down survivor are m1, survivor getting downed because deep wound runs out and his hit with power (just like wesker) after vault which is non existent after nerfs only if survivor after he vaults stays on window/pallet. He destroys hold shift w only if you allow him to and his nerfs make him much easier opponent then stronger a/tiers killers like dracula, larry and billy. His vault speed got nerfed too he was strong only because of bug called kidnaptech and his hitbox after vault + huge 5m hitbox that get you trought wall all of this has been nerfed/fixed.

    in Closed Comment by Abbzy
  • Wouldnt say I love plaing against him, but I prefer him over blight. Ghoul has good mobility but in this state isnt much better thans blight i think and he gets fast injury but he have to chase you down like legion or any m1. Try loop blight he catches up so quickly you cant get him of you and he can down you much faster than ghoul.

    in Closed Comment by Abbzy
  • Just love playing him and someone drops shack with guard on top of him, one thing is the guard runs around entire shack to get to the survivor just why.

  • There is nothing to compensate the killer for spreading hooks and not tunnel, only punishments in form of perks and basekit features and more time for gens, if there was some kind weak pain res like 5% regress to gens for hooking new survivor or slowdown in form like dying light( more hoos you have bigger slowdown you get) the it would be solid reward. Now its just spread hooks on 2 survivors if you dont wanna tunnel just one and hope for best. Even copetive players tunnel just straight up because its just most rewarding play.

  • Survivors tend to do this more than killers, seeing this from year 2017 when Ochido was very popular dbd content creator.

  • They wont buff them they will have full hand adding new killers to get players probably.

  • Not much fuor buff, should make it 200% and maybe it will be little usable b/tier perk nowadays.

  • Now its only one badham variant still what gets me most about it is 2 houses of pain are literally two more shacks for no reason on this map with strong main and solid loops. On top of that breakable wall on main which when you break the main should be easier to play on as killer but its opposite.

  • @crogers271 said:

3 gens are still a huge part of the game. Can the killer just lock it down the entire game like they once did? No. But if the killer is given a strong 3 gen, a close game tilts heavily in the killer's favor at the end.

    3gen happens for few reasons:

    • killer making it as strategy and holding it( hag, trapper, singularity)
    • Survivors jumping on the closest gens leaving 3 last gens clouse togeather creating 3 gen (the biggest reason from my experiences 3gen gets created)

    really?

he seems extremely powerful when I play him and I get iri every month when just messing around with dredge

do people just not use his power mid chase? or what because that genuinely confuses me on how higher skilled players are having more trouble with a pretty good killer

Using his power mid cahse huh? His teleport isnt that good in chase maybe in rpd main the small drop window but thats one of few exeptions. His remnant isnt that strong against seasoned survivors they know holding w is great and cheap counter and they wont let them selfs to get forced into remnant easily. His nightfall wit new update will probably get shadow nerfed with brightness changes. Hist stealth isnt best either got changed but still breaking a locked locker is louder than old wraiths grunts.

He would be better killer if additional lockers were spawned on map (covering full map) because his mobility is supper dependent on map rng like farm maps. His power is solid in nightfall but still it isnt that strong.

'It's still not enough' is a very far cry from 'Not a single thing', isn't it?

Playing trapper or ghoustface without strong gear(persk and addons) feels like chasing survivors with pain in lower back. Yes its supper satisfying

when your power works and you feel like playing chess with other team, placing traps in strategic places or sneaking around map marking survivors and 99 them for future exposed downs.

  • @TheSingleQuentinMain said:

I main killer, but Wraith has never been a killer that appealed to me. He relies on hit and run, a tactic I don't like to on most killers. That said, I don't think anyone would mind fighting or using these buffs. This is a workshop though, so my goal is to get feedback on my ideas more than anything else. I'm aiming to add depth to killers just as much as buffing any of them.

Buff 1: Base kit Cloaked Action speed boost

He has addons that boost his Pallet Break/Gen Break/Vault speeds. Additionally, making it so his locker search speed is increased would be nice. Normally I'm against a "flat buff" to a given killer, such as just making them do stuff faster, but I think that if his cloaked stun duration remains, he should have at least a 20% base kit buff to those things

    Buff 2: Vault Blocking Mode

While Cloaked, press Ctrl to to enter Vault Blocking mode. This deactivate the 20% buff to action speed that the first buff included. In exchange however, the next 3 locations you vault while Cloaked will become blocked for 20 seconds when you uncloak. The idea hear is he can set up a couple of vault locations to be blocked before chase ensues, or even to just shut down an area like a t-wall he can't deal with.

Buff 3: The Cloak Shimmer Buff

When Wraith decloaks or cloaks, all survivors within 40 meters here a "Whoosh" sound. As a buff, any survivor his in range to hear that sound has there hud icon lightly warp with a subtle, green glow behind it, allowing Wraith to know that there are survivors within that 40 meter range. I was thinking survivors could also see the seen on the survivors end so solo que players know, "okay it's nearby that teammate of mine, because he had the whoosh." but it might be an unnecessary buff to survivors against him.

Buff 4: The Braindead stat buffs

These are buffs that include minor but impactful stat changes, but not ones that really add nuance to the killer.

    1. 5% more speed while cloaked.
    2. 5% decloak speed buff

Some players claim he is too good but he realy isnt. Yes he is easy but without addons he is easy to counter he is like double edged sword strong for average players and joke in higher mmr. His last changes to basekit were nerfs from what i remember. When he got big buffs in like 2017 they gave him tracking in basekit (bloodhound) but then took it away and his uncloak boost was 1,25 seconds from what i remember now its just 1 second, doesnt look much but somethimes it would made difference between hit and miss. Now the bloodhund change, could be said its encourage tunneling but dracula has it in wolf form too (atleast the blood brighter color not increesed time).

He would need some small bufs like when he is cloaked increesed breaking and vaulting speed by 20-25% and priority when doing this action before survivor, so his counter isnt just vaulting over and over again + the increased brighter blood like draculas wolf form.

  • @jesterkind said:

That doesn't actually happen that often, is the thing.

Kaneki was nerfed, sure, but if we go down the list of recent releases prior to that…

    • Houndmaster was buffed multiple times after release, with a few small nerfs here and there
    • Dracula's been changed in only two patches post-release, one of which was exclusively buffs (the first one, in fact) and the second of which was half and half — two buffs, two nerfs
    • Vecna's received a few changes to cooldowns mostly, most of which were buffs (not counting the current changes obv), with a few nerfs here and there
    • Unknown's barely been changed at all, one change and it was a buff (according to the wiki, I actually don't remember this one)
    • Chucky could count as a character that got nerfed after release, though it's important to note that also came with buffs every time. Still, power overall went down, so we'll count him as our second killer this actually applies to
    • Xeno got a small nerf after release, then a buff-and-nerf patch

You get the point, I won't keep going back further. Killers being noticeably nerfed on release is not common, and most recent killers have gotten buffs after release. You're not actually in serious danger of the killer you paid for being noticeably nerfed… unless the killer's obviously overtuned like Chucky and Kaneki.

It's just live balance stuff, it's not really targeted or biased or anything.

Houndmaster got buffed and was a-tier

Dracula got nerfed(desserved) and only buffs i remember were to wolf for because they took his hugtech, nerfed bat and helfire several times so they have to buff wolf

Uknow got addons nerf and he is still solid killer (hard to use his power, after sucessful hit you got like 2-3 shots and then you must to infect survivor again)

Chucky got nerfed and buffed and nerferd and again to his current state

Xeno got nerfed hard and then hist last changes looked like buffs and only tail nerf but actualy it was massive nerf, but devs actualy after ptb buffed him and nerfs for tail stayed

Ghoul got only nerfs (needed but the last one is questionable)

Now vecna what looks from ptb will be buffed but still he is just weaker dracula

"Genrushing" isn't the same as tunnelling, slugging, and camping though. While being genrushed the killer still has 100% control of their character and can play the game. The reverse is not true. A slugged or hooked survivor is just removed from actively participating in the game and able to do nothing fun. Generators are 90 seconds of no fun but mandatory for the victory conditions.

Gen slowdown and tunnelling, slugging, and camping are all no fun for survivors. Only chasing, or narrowly escaping with a neat hide or mindgame are really fun. Anything that reduces the fun bits should be weighed carefully and same goes for increasing the no fun bits.

"Genrushing" isn't the same as tunnelling, etc.

Well in its core it is. Its just going solely for main objective, genrushing isnt fun for killer same as tunneling for survivor. Claiming killer can control genrushing is almost the same saying survivors control slugging, little bit yes but not fully(with perks and coordination, or altruism). Some killers dont have key thing to do something about fast gens and thats mobility and to some degree antiloop(leathality) meaning billy can down and travel fast and weaker killer like dredge can only travel across map but in weaker state, then we have killers like mayers who is held in game only by strong addons and has no mobility and antiloop( his lunge isnt that good and fast vaults do little thing without combination o perks like bamboozle or superior anatomy). So not all killers can influence genrushing and cant tunnel or slug well as some others.

Tunneling will be in the game because its best way for killer to get his objective fast and it slows survivors very well( less survs alive means when someone is hooked and another one is chased there isnt fourth survivor doing gens). Only way to stop killers prefer tunneling and spread hooks more is to reward them for it ( or play super strong killer like blight to dont need tunneling ).

Realistically how often do you hit people map wide? I doesn’t really matter that huntress has more hatchets, his cooldown is very short and hitting with is not that hard, just takes a bit getting used to it. Additionally he is huntress moving at 4.6 m/s.

You forget he is 4,6 m\s when he doesnt have axe charged which is rly good if he was normal killer speed all the time he would be pretty strong.

  • He seems to be around a-tier, verry simular idea to uknown but more mix of huntress and xeno.
