Just remove the hit scan. It's training wheel nonsense that puts this killer's skill expression in the dirt, like is really too much to ask Kaneki players to actually have to aim their attacks. Literally every other killer has to aim, sure Springtrap has some fairly generous auto aim with his axe but it can still miss if the player is off with their throw.
Dont make his hit hit so cheap and make hitbox smaller you say thats solid idea.

I know. Like I said, there are other killers that have that same problem, and speaking as a singularity main, I think singularity is a bigger proponent of this problem. The big difference is the dead zone killers either are set up killers, or they are killers who have a wind up attack that can be dodged.
If you mean its alomost impossible to get rid of singularity if you are slipstreamed then you didnt heard about blight who doesnt need to infict slipstream from biopods and just is rushing you down.

The problem is also the amount of subtle cheaters. Had a Kate in 1vs4, who played normally. Then she was on deadhook, i saw her aura after a hook, but when i checked the entire corner nobody was there. But i heard her falling sound, thought it was a bug.
Only when she did it again later and i was too close, i realized it. Even the first time was after 10 minutes and i have no clue how many cheats she used until i had even a chance to find out that she is cheating.
Subtle are the worst and yet mos common, now they dont evenn hide their cheats like they did 2-3 years back maybe they found out anticheat is joke.
Yeah everytime I hear falling survivor sound and theres no hill or structure from which the survivor can fall then its clear cheater, adiou bug was more that you didnt heard them because their falling soung was none or super low but never I hve seen the issue where you hear audio from falling survivor and no one is there especialy when its somewhere where isnt anything they can fall from.

Can you record a game for us? People will be able to give better advice
After the battle everyone is general.
He can if he wants others advice on what he could do better. On the other hand all depends like when i play mediocre killer like springtrap and I miss few shots then these 2-3 missies can be difference between 2k or 1k and somethimes 0k so depends or when I play as ghoul Im forced to run hard meta because survivors usualy run it too and now they can throw the game and kill thmeselfs on the hook so they rush hard like this was competitive with 1 milion dollars as price and this was final round.
Mmr works but we cant deny that sometimes you will get people above your mmr because there arent other players close to theirs mmr and game has some mmr pools where when are you in the highes and someone has higher you can still play against someone with example 2250 mmr points when yours is 1300 because the highest cap is 1250 (made up numbers just for example).

Had a Sable disabling the killer, and the survivor they were carrying in a match I was playing yesterday with @cogsturning.
I saw them doing a healing action on nothing, and all of a sudden the Meg being carried by the killer got stuck in the ground, and the killer being unable to interact with anything. This was in a regular 1v4, but I have noticed an uptick of cheaters lately.https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V07PZ1TUCC3N/cheater-match.png
I have met multiple in 1v4 but for all the time 2v8 exist I havent seen there cheaters untill now.

Post survivor pts syndrome or what, just people hating him because he was top 5 strongest killers when released and stron some time after first nerfs now he is just mediocre killer at best.
-
That 3. point is kinda meh tbh there are atleast 15 and maybe more killers which can create dead zones or catch you in them and punish you heavily not just ghoul, blights has restriction but his power is just way better and creates much more dead zones and situations where you get hit and only thing you can do is try doge and hpe he will miss but shoulderfick exist.

I found huntress sound hit queues go off but no damage to survivor happens its like the hatchet has hit and missed at the same time!!
This is issue thats happening in 1v4 too you hit survivor running infront of you and get hit sound que and sirvivor just absorbes the hatchet and keeps running healty, same issue has slinger with redeemer you get hit and chains instantly breaks. I think this issue have even more range killers with some projectile but I have noticed these two, I didnt see devs to pay a lot attention to this issue so fear not it will be long time in the game for everyone to enjoy.

Knight on smaller maps is like a game of chess really. Had one on Sanctum of Wrath a couple days ago, and it was a constant back and forth to break the 3-gen, but eventually we got it done. @cogsturning was with me that round.
It truth but same goes for any killer with strong mobility that the killer can control like billy, blight, wraith, ghoul these killers make the map even smaller than knight can.
-
All depends what survivors you will get, if they are doing gens instead of chest, totems and poiting/slaping each other genitals then you might feel more under preasure. More hooks you have and less gens they have, gen speed is icreased and other way around slowed so if they have solid gen speed buff and attack multiple gens if you dont push them off and regress then they will do them faster. Last thing is map like asylum maps are the strongest in my opinion there are very strong paletts at higher numbers then farm maps or green vile and killer combination, killers like trapper and legion dont suport each other that much because they arent main pushers/force that goes and preasures survivors but they are support more and combination like legion with oni, blight, wesker or nurse will stomp many lobbyes because they have huge synergy and potencial.

And do you have sources for everything past "57%" in this sentence? Keep in mind that there's not a single killer in 1v4 that goes above 69% kill rate, and those that hit 69% or near to it are pubstompers - characters that have had multiple reworks that cause players to get confused on counterplay (Freddy, Sadako), characters that have little to no counterplay at all (Nurse), or characters with complex kits, often coming with bugs on top (Twins, Vecna).
True people forget how will go match for newer players against vecna and how different will be with huntress (vecna isnt that much played character as huntress and has complex kit with more tools which survivors must understand how they work and what kind of counterplay is best, huntress just pulls hatchet and throws it not that hard to understand and counter is doge it, block fov or duck it). Same with sadako or freddy they arent that strong but their complex counterplay is what newer survivors lack at or killer that has less then 1/100 games you will get him as survivor such as twins that even experienced players arent used to play against him and will burn on that.
-
He can be annoying on smaller maps but same goes for high mobility killers which can control their mobility like billy, blight, dracula, ghoul, wraith, spirit or even wesker (he got some mobility but nothing crazy like others I mentioned before him), killers like xeno, onryo, springtrap, dreadge have great mobility across the map but they lack the option to choose where exactly they will go on map and it wont cower all places where killer needs to go. Knight isnt that strong and killers I mentioned before with higher mobility are way stronger some of them are strongest killers in the game so argument like knight can chase and preasure two survivors at thje same time isnt that good because even these high mobility killers can only preasure just one they can do it better and switch targets and places way faster on smaller maps.

Survivors seem to want him to get the skull merchant treatment
They do, he is just annoying for manz players and for me I welcome him more than spirit or blight because even you are injured most chase time against him you will spend more time looping him as m1 killer than other killers around his power level (singularity doesnt count he buffs himself all chase and its not normal m1 chase because of that speed and constant mobility which ghoul cant spawn all the time on loops like larry).

Have you considered that you see more toxic behaviour from survivors because you literally have to encounter four times as many survivors compared to killers? Not because survivors are inherently more toxic, but because you literally have to encounter VASTLY more survivor players than killers through normal gameplay?
Smart guy here. Yes I already mentioned it in previvous post in this discussion and not every time I saw or ecountered toxic survivor was as killer. Like from all I seen or witnessed were like minimaly 20% while playing as survivor, they were toxic mostly to killer for child releated reason like why you sluged me when my team tried to sabbo etc. so from my personal experience I have seen/met more toxic survivors (some for no valid reason) than killer players (they had some little reason like being tbaged, some flashlight saves or being looped too long not so mature but still its reason why some people decide to be toxic).

This take is incredibly biased. Killers BM because survivors BM, but survivors BM just because? I don't run sabo or use flashlights or do anything really aggravating yet I get humped by killers and repeatedly hit on hook for no reason. Yet I still don't treat pepple that way, even when they're doing it to me. I behave like an adult regardless of which role I play. People are crappy because they choose to be. Full stop.
Well I found more survivors to just be toxic for no reason then killers and like bigger half of them were swf, friends plaing togeather trying some strategies like sabbo or flashlight saving or just casualy playing and being super toxic in chatt for no valid reason (they werent sluged, tunneled, bodyblocked or offended in any way just because they could).

This is utter nonsense. While it is true that you will most likely encounter more Survivors who are toxic because there are simply more Survivors, blaming Survivors when a Killer is toxic is such a bad take. You really act as if Killers are pure little Angels who need to be protected and a Killer by themselves can never ever be toxic and when they act toxic, it is the Survivor side who is at fault, because they had to face a toxic squad before.
Yikes.
No one is angel but just pure toxic behavior comes from survivor more often than from killer, when killer is toxic there is more logical reason why he is toxic more than when survivor is toxic.

For sure but some loops like most of loops on asylum maps are super safe and easy to loop so still not that strong, escapist can get away from wraith so I think this calss would counter her too and its very popular class.

If someone gets to the point where they feel the need to do weird e-vigilante "vent games" the correct move is to shut the game off and do something fun for a while and come back later.
Taking frustrations from game A out on unrelated player(s) in game B is just a bad idea that keeps the cycle going.
I believe many people do it, personaly when I want to play some normal bubba and I will get tryharding swf genrushing and then calling me babby and bad with full meta and coms ofcourse after few games like this in one evening I will say srew it and pick lich, ghoul or someone who is stronger and can deal with this type of teams with more chill than bubba because I play this game to have normal match not stress more than in work thats it.

Why is it always that toxic Survivors are just the pure evil and toxic Killers are only toxic because they had a frustrating match before this?
Both sides have toxic people. Toxic DBD-players are toxic because they are toxic, not because they play "role I currently dont play".
There is way higher chance that survivor will be toxic for no valid reason only because he didnt slept well so you are to be blamed for this and its not because there are more survivors than killers, its always survivor not killer, if you get killer who will beging behaving toxic in chatt its 99% because he got toxic squad game before and now he is frustrated so he is being toxi to you.

It's more so her ability to lock down entire sections and make the game 30-45mins long. Trapper isn't an A tier killer but on RPD he's terrifying because you have to go through certain doorways.
This version of merchant is very poor in locking areas because her huge nerfs to drones but you can dissarm it and doge the scan light easily by crouching and in 2v8 thers more survivors than drones. Trapper is stronger in 2v8 because he can carry 4 traps and lock some parts of the map, creating fast downs if his traps works so in my opinion he is better in 2v8 than nemesis, slinger and ghostface (idk why but with ghostface almost every game I get revealed by guy behind some huge wall where he cant spot me enough to reveal me).

These three are bad but intead buffing them and nerfing legions info and instadow devs will just add more killers.

I had a match earlier that was the other way around. Played against a Sadako, who was playing super toxic, only tunneled people off of the hooks, and then proceeded to say "EZ LOSERS" in the end game chat.
So this is not survivor-exclusive at all. Most toxic killers are just frustrated from previous matches against toxic teams so they beat their anger and frustration on others and think they will behave to them like previous teams. I had some sabbo or flashlight annoying squads which were normal and friendly in chatt and then worst are sore loosers swfs they are worst toxic creatures in this game.

I'd assume the pallet would only be able to be rebuilt once and then it's gone. It would work like Pentimento in that way.
Thats hard to do with dbd bugs look at conviction you need heal heathstate and all you need is finish one guy who is 99 or pick someone recovered up but not (I dont think they fixed it but maybe they did) it charges when you pick your self up with conviction so its infinite. Im not sure how would they make it work so every palett can be rebuild one time or how long it would last working that way.
-
Because people want dash killers they are simple and it means more chase than against trap killer thats it. Survivors want chase and something easy and not complicated to play against look at wesker just teo dashes and infection nothing more or blight even he is busted and you cant loose him because even he misses he is still behind your back and will catch in no time many survivors like him then current m1 trash skullmerchant which is super weak with almost no power.
-
@AmpersandUnderscore said:
There's a big difference between "his power isn't good" and "I'm not good with his power".
This makes it sound like you can't hit axes and are just playing him as a slow, M1 killer... Which, yeah, that's gonna feel awful if you aren't using his kit in any way.
Truth is his axe is harder to hit than huntress on medium distance like 8 meters and more, you have smaller hitbox and more limited time with one chance but on shorter distances and low level loops where he is way stronger and has very high skill ceiling than people think.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
SpringTrap is very good. Its axe is decent range, his Tp is great for mobility with a long duration of undetectable. Springtrap is FAR from a bad killer.
His axe is more antiloop tool than range because you need to aim above to hit someone far and axe max range is like 14 maybe 16 meters which is shorter than slingers redeemer. His teleports are near gens most times (some are terrible like greenvile main tp) which gives him good preasure but still not hard to prerun for survivor which can hear good. Udedecteable is good but getting grab without glitchtrap skin is hard because he is loudest killer with footsteps more loud than nemesis or knight so best way is get close and hit axe which has sound warning and then follow the survivor. He isnt bad he is just mediocre killer which means if you get your axe hits and play good you will get minimaly around 2k and above but if you get long chases or miss a lot then the chance to comback is much smaller than with above average killer, only good thing is his aim is same as huntress only difference is their projectiles speed and behavior which makes him more better choice for someone who wants to play more chase orianted huntress.

I never want to see skull merchant. Drones on RPD and now Lery's would be a slog. Never wanted to see Legion or Oni in 2v8. I dont mind them in 1v4 but the constant fodder/ blood power up is ridiculous. But they are in there and not going anywhere so there you have it. I'd also not want to see any portal/teleport killer that can instant teleport to gens. About the only thing saving the game from being more tedious is that the killer is forced to navigate the map to check gens.
Current skull merchant wouldnt do much in 2v8 she is probably worst killer and high number of survivors would counter her hard, she cant offer much.

Plague can’t injure fast though. Her power takes time to take affect. It’s not like Legion who can dash around and just injure everyone immediately. And in 2V8 the amount of generators is widespread enough that her power really wouldn’t even come in to play until late game because she’s not going to be able to infect all of the generators, definitely not quickly. I don’t think there would be any difference in how you play against her because again she’s not gonna just be able to infect every generator from the jump. And she doesn’t dash around like so unless you’re counterintuitive, I can’t see her being a big problem. And I would definitely enjoy the variety.
Still even she takes more time to get survivors injured her infection takes more time to get rid of and sta healty, this with sloq aspect of the game puls now her fountains spawn where they should be near generators. She has corrupt purge which makes her better huntress and can hit multiple surivors and she would have it quiet often in this mode which with someone like oni or blight would be strong, she can infect gens and objects for like 30 seconds I think which isnt small time and if you do it on progressed gen if survivors wont touch it then fast regression in 2v8 will eat all progress from that gen. Legion can get more injures in shorter time but thats all he can do plus some info for next target while using frenzy but plague has stronger effect by time plus red puke so she is more stronger.

Scout class is top tier you can rebuild or reset paletts and you can reveal killers aura to your teammates, after first cage you will get iron will when injured, second best is escapinst in my opinion sprintburst and quick and quiet on comand with windows of opportunity and after first cage you will get selfcare, then medic and worst calss in my opinion is guide he is just bad all you get is info on 8 gens and your team where to go for gen but then only other good thing is blastmine with wiretrap and that wont help that much, medik can make resets fast so you can go and do objective but for solo scout or escapist are the best class.

I agree that Legion is easy to counter if you know what you’re doing, but most of the time solo queue teammates just spend the whole match healing instead of staying injured and working on gens.
easy to counter just do gens but what will you do with that teammates that just stay in healing/mending loop and that other killer like blight, wesker, wraith or oni this is big problem for the team trying to loop the killer that can get hit fast and is strong like blight injured is just fast and easy down for the killer thanks to legion.

Other thing legion is easy to counter in 1v4 but you have to keep in mind that in 2v8 you go against 2 killers not one and that means legion wont be the only killer who will try to down you theres another one and even weaker killer like ghostface is way stronger against injured survivors from legion than normaly he is with stalking thats fact, legion makes other killers way stronger because everyone is almost half the game oneshot for killers.

I think the opposite, oni is strong but he needs blood to get his power without legion this takes a while and survivors have much more space and time to heal and stop blood orbs to spawn but with legion he keeps everyone injured and under preasure and oni is getting power way more often. Legion with killers like wraith, nurse, spirit, blight, huntress means that almost whole survivor team can be oneshot and these killers have not that big problem getting hit in 2v8 which makes legion very strong not to mention when he is on coms with his friend, his friend gets all the info from legion killers instinct so oni isnt that big of a problem as legion.
-
Its great to play on more maps than before, killers used killer sised maps and some indoors like mayers (but mayers wasnt problem) and survivors used survivor sided maps way more offten because one offering was guarantee for that map and even with the counter offering from killer there was chance you will still get the map survivor wanted now its more random which feels better not badham, erye, gaerdent and simular maps over and over not to mention surivors using farm map offering (coldwin) they kinda froze in time giving these old nowadys weaker maps for no reason.

Yeah because the usage of all window and vault perks and then it snaps you into his grasp on the other side of the window with everything on cooldown. So now you've lost your perks, you've lost your momentum, you'll slow vault because you're so close to the window and ultimately you're screwed lol
That was bug that shouldnt happen normaly when you are in vaulting animation he should just hist you with his dash, slap not grab and slam but what Im having issue with is he should slap you when you are in the window or on palett but he wont he just bumps into it and wont slap survivor even when survivor is in hit range somehow devs tried to fix his bug you mentioned and they messed up his normal hit but this is old issue like 1 year minimaly.

Yes, exactly right. They are coddling killer players from the old P2P days, where The Killer was the server. They are reluctant to adopt a neutral and fair system that lets the server handle hits. This also makes exploiting Killer so easy. If you want easy downs, induce the right amount of lag, and you will always hit. The thing I hate about The Mastermind is facing him with any vault/window perks. You lose them and still get snapped into his grasp. At least reset my Perk CD when this happens.
If you mean when you vault window with lythe and he grabs you or what you loose your window perks?
-

When I play survivor I can say that one scenario I find extremely frustrating is when I'm dropping a pallet with plenty of time to spare while Wesker is charging at me and yet he's able to teleport me to the other side of the pallet, grab me, and slam me against the now dropped pallet.
I get that it's a ping issue, but there really should be some kind of special validation middle ground here where Wesker gets pallet stunned but the survivor gets infected without getting injured.
Must be ping issue or server issue, this doesnt happen to me but it was common when he was buged but it happened like he should get the slap animation as hit but he grabed you and slamed you against window or palett.
-
I think she would be bigger overkill alone she is just m1 who makes you infected and broken so you are oneshot, you can gain full health with fontains but you give her option to get corruped purge which is very strong ability now imagine this with oni or other killers which can down you fast.
Idont think its good idea to put killers which can injure survivors fast and keep them injure for long time like plague or legion.

Down, stop, go for cage, repeat - It's very likely you will not stop the generators from being completed (unless using specific and well-played killer combinations).
Multi-Down, stop, cage one, attempt more multi-downs, repeat - Better bet that you'll actually succeed at stopping the generators and turning more survivors into victims.
You can't stand up and be like "hey, make it so we can't be stopped cause it's not fun!"
I've got news for you, bud: the whole activity ceases to be a game when the "fun" of one side starts to take precedence over what's fair. A lot of you guys don't respect what DbD is (asymmetrical PvP). You forget that you're not in a single player game, trying to demand that DbD become some sort of proverbial fixed-track fun house ride where escape is not challenging and is all but inevitable. It's like you want the satisfaction of winning a PvP game while putting in less effort than a storymode campaign.
You are wrong here you can stop gens with 3 slugs and two other being chased or pushed of from gen and if almst half the team is in cages or on the groung there arent many survivors to do gens which can slow the game so I dont think thers point to survivor have to be sluged for one minute because they play against oni-legion,legion-blight, etc. You wil get around one minute survivor out of the game bu sluging which is solid time for two killers, all I ask is shorter cooldown on your active power so you can have it charged when you decided to pick your self up in that 41 seconds and not having it on full cooldown of one minute being forced to wait other 15 seconds.

The queues became 38 minutes only after Play while you wait feature was introduced. In previous 2v8's they were up to 20 minutes. So effectively what Play while you wait did is heavily worsened queue times. How is that a good thing? Play while you wait IS the reason why queue times became so long.
The only people who benefit from this dont care what role they play. So they could've sticked playing survivor just as well. But the people who wanted to play killer now need to wait twice as long.
Trading such a massive wait time increase for ability to play something you dont want to is not a healthy thing.
So zou are getting longer ques than previous 2v8 modes, for me its getting longer and longer each 2v8 mode the first was 15 minutes plus minusbut then 20, then 25 and now Im on 27-35 minutes which are 3 survivor games to one killer match but if it would be more than its bad.
-
@SadLegion said:
Just play while you wait man, it will surely fix a problem of a now double-increased time of killer queue
Play shile you wsit is great and one of best things devs came out but his problem is that he has to wait 38 minutes thats 4 maybe even 5 survivor games for ond killer game which isnt good. On the other hand play while you wait is the right thing that can save this game mode, everybody wants to play killer and there are less survivors but now you have to play some survivor before you can play killer which solves the problem.

It's always been more of a Killer-focused mode. Not that that's a bad thing at all, but it needs to have a stronger focus on pleasing Survivor in order to work. As long as duos exist for Killers, I think you could add really anything to Survivor and it wouldn't affect the appeal of the mode.
All depends what killers are there if nemesis and slinger then they best option is teaming which means faster downs for way less preasure so then it becomes survivor sided, map and looptiles play huge role too if you get saloon with weaker loops in between strong ones then the map favors more killer and fathers chaphel have many jungle gyms and those long wall loops two near each other which are hard to loop as killer and way harder to mindgame with four scouts against m1 its hard to get downs there. On avarege this mode is killer sided because theres no mmr, people play more stronger and fun killers like wesker, blight, huntress even wraith is here strong, last biggest factor is legion who is almost in every duo which comunicates making this mode way harder than it should be.
