  • I like the DC Penalty. Teaches people to take the loss with dignity and respect. Who am I kidding :D I just like it when I get screwed by a teammate in a match due to them DC'ing that after I die and get another match, I won't have to worry about matching up with them again :D

  • Remember, you have to SERVE those HOURS first THEN DC AGAIN to continue up the chain XD

  • I do it to keep your attention on me and not the other survivors who might suck at looping. Nothing like a slugfest when the killer finds out that the rest suck at the game lol.

  • Your first reference was on Fortnite, not DBD and the second one was only mentioning the Saw map. So you have 1 reference and its only on 1 map that its referenced by a few people. Not really sure what to tell you.

  • I disagree with people here a lot about a lot of things but come on, Trickster needed a buff XD He was a literal joke lol.

  • No. If these came to be, I wouldn't play DBD anymore. This would be so far left field of balance, it wouldn't be a match anymore. Just a bully simulator.

  • I like that change. Sometimes you just can't find the last totem no matter how hard you try and the killers' who just face camp all game, waiting for NOED to proc for another easy down and not having to leave would do some justice for Solo's.

  • Welcome to Online Gaming. People have been doing this for years. Nothing can change unless people want to change. Making a statement about ALL instead of a few is just a good way to not make me feel remorse for you.

  • I do have 1 problem with that statement. If someone is camping another while you look and do totems, you're rewarding that killer since he'll get more than 2 kills due to time constraints. You don't and the rest might get NOED'd. That's my only real issue with NOED.

  • I would love to be a random survivor for a bit as a secondary power. Yeah, SWFs would still allow them to get a big close before running, which is what you want. Its like Wraiths' cloaking. You just need it to get close.

  • If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a Ghost Face. Or something like that. I never was good with movie lines. A DS per match keeps the tunnelers off your ass. Life's like a match with the Entity. You always see what you're gonna get. That doesn't seem right, either. Ill get it right one day. For now, I never use Spine Chill. Only thing allowed to grab me is Myers with his big strong arms and his loud breathing. Sorry, Spirit- it's you, not me.

  • Just play another game. Slugging is a strategy that can take a losing game and make it a winning one. If its too much, play something else.

... o_0 It's not just about where the hatchet will go. It's about aiming with the thumbstick (which is always awkward, it doesn't matter what the sensitivity is set at) while moving. I try moving around as Huntress while keeping the tree in the center of my screen and throwing the hatchet at the right time, and... well, I can't do it consistently with an inanimate object as my target.

Trickster with his recoil has been an absolute misery.

I came from PS4. I never had much of an issue with Huntress.

Then the devs should at least add a practice mode. I'm sure survivors are tired of loading in just so they can do gens while I practice my Huntress by throwing hatchets at trees all match.

Bottom of the haft of the hatchet is where the hatchet will go and to the middle of the screen. There's how to aim your hatchet. You're welcome.

  • Crosshairs shouldn't be allowed for Range Killers. It's already annoying to go against with Gunslinger. Don't need a Huntress who can get easy hits.

They don't want people banking tons of BP, so that the instant a new killer/survivor comes out, they can Prestige 3 and max out their perks right away. The grind keeps people playing.

It's like any MMO. For example, FFXIV. It has a weekly cap on Tomestones, the endgame currency used for the best gear, so that people play regularly and often, instead of binging in one sitting, acquiring all of their gear at once and then not playing for 3 months until the next patch hits.

The amount of killers and survivors now is too damn high and the amount of perks in this game would never be reached for a long time. It would take a billion to max 1 killer with all perks currently.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

    Legit question lol.

I unlocked all his perks and now the last thing I need to do in order to completely forget about this killer is the achievement, but gosh, he is so useless it's damn hard to get hahaha.

I went from Rank 1 to 5 and still haven't gotten it yet. The Knives net you nothing in the emblem system and Star Struck punishes you for 1-hit downing survivors since you only get half the malicious. At this point, I feel like this is just all one big April Fools' joke.

  • @loopsahoy said:

Updated models, 5th anniversary, perk and charecter reworks, killer power changes, thats all whats expected. Is dbd healthy enough to keep going?

Always healthy enough to continue. They need to add triple bloodpoints event for the entire year D:< Make it the best damn year!

  • That would be terrible. Any time someone would go down, just crawl to a pallet and you're safe no matter what. That just makes me sick to my stomach even thinking about it.

  • I wish they would just remove the gross green filters on those maps. It's so gross and makes the maps look so much worse.

My friend and I were testing some things out and I was able to bonk her across an entire coldwind map.. Since the start I’ve thought the distance the knives can actually travel has unused potential. I would love to see maybe 2-3 knives cause full laceration if thrown at a 24m or more.

This might sound silly but I would like to see “Main Event” scrap the knives.. instead remove Tricksters red light and TR, increase movement speed and for a brief moment have all sounds on the map mute except for the sudden synchronized screams of any remaining survivors.

I could see that be pretty terrifying if done right. Honestly, they need to reduce the amount of knives needed and the super slowdown plus the recoil. Do that and fix the damn emblems and he'd be alright. Right now, it just takes too many and he gets punished a LOT for doing anything.

  • Its his slowdown that seems to be killing him and the amount of blades is just too much.

By the time Trickster deranks you to around rank 12 you’ll have it in no time!

I legitimately laughed out loud when I read your post though because I was expecting the complete opposite along with tips and tricks to how you achieved it lmao;p

I like to think I'm a decent killer who does good tutorial videos for most killers but this guy is just so bad. Huntress is better in every way and the amount of people who just teabag me while standing near me because of my speed with no real threat is so annoying. I feel like a punching bag and its for the survivors' enjoyment. I have NEVER felt so weak as any killer before until now. I have been ANNOYED as certain killers but never really weak but this guy just makes you want to ram your face into a wall. I'm about to hit Rank 5. It's beyond bullshit.

  • @Lexilogo said:

...Yeah, I agree. The 1 million BP cap feels really outdated now that Challenges alongside Dailies allow you to essentially "save" up BP past the cap. All the BP cap does is stop people in their tracks when they're on a winstreak roll, and forces them to go do their web.

If they want to stop people from powerlevelling new Killers/Survivors with lots of stockpiled BP, they could just implement a new system for that, like a BP spending cap on the newest Killer/Survivor, that goes up as you win games until after something like 5-10 trials at which point it's gone.

We got so many survivors and killers now, 1 Mil is barely a level 50. It's just too much for a cap.

  • @BubbaDredge said:

I have some advice for everyone that lets frustration change their opinion of DBD, you've gotta stop giving a #########. Stop caring about ranking, no one respects you because of it, no one's impressed. Matchmaking doesn't even respect rank. Just play and have fun. Every trial doesn't matter, none of the trials matter. The play is all that matters.

Match isn't going your way? Lose and then play another after, then another, then another. Consider every tiny success a win, consider every improvement an accomplishment. Making red ranks fight for their win is more of an accomplishment than stomping 20's. Having fun is the biggest accomplishment of all.

And most of all, when a survivor is being an #########, kill them. That's more fun than winning. When a survivor is trying to make you mad, kill them before they succeed. Giving them another fair chance to escape will only make you feel worse when they do. They want your attention, give it to them. Not to teach them a lesson, not to ruin their lives, just for fun. ######### them if they can't see the funny. They'll cry no matter what, give them a reason.

I'm not a sweaty player, I don't go for snowballs and rarely use much strategy. I'm playing for hooks, that's my challenge. When survivors make me want to tunnel or camp, I do. Not to win, but because revenge is fun. Clicky flashlights fuel my fire. If you teabag, you better be good enough to get away, because I like killing aggressive players.

I haven't gotten angry at this game in a long time. I get a little angry when survivors that did nothing teabag at exit, but that's just because they suck. But big picture, I like it when unskilled survivors rank up, makes them more fun for another killer to kill.

You're already playing Clown. You chose to play a challenging killer, remember why. It wasn't because you wanted balance, it wasn't because you needed an emblem or a rank. You chose clown for fun, now play for fun. When you find yourself playing for another reason, slap yourself across your big clown face and get your priorities in order. Play for fun.

I hate to say but that was really well done and very nice. I got a new respect for you. I never disliked you but I was a bit indifferent just like I am with most people on the forum. Well done!

  • Its cancer with Distressing, Infectious Fright, Agitation and Mad Grit. It's even worse on Nurse. Talk about 4k speedruns.

Adepts often rely on bad survivors anyway but as a 110 which you cant even use his trash ability hawking's is your best bet. You can also get some gens pretty close together too. Ignore portal room gen and if someone is on the upstairs gen you can block them in, throw knives and follow up. Either way good luck mate I certainly won't be playing him again

He makes me never want to play killer again.

  • Give me another perk that did barely anything except double the bloodpoints at the end of the game like BBQ and I'll use that too xD

  • @EntitySpawn said:

I got it at rank 1 a few times due to bugged achievement but here what I'd recommend. Hawking's, dont throw knives unless they're trapped up by the railings, lobby dodge if key or alot of items. Honestly worst killer I was so shocked how much stronger the other killers where when I swapped back lol

Knives don't give Malicious or Chaser. Learned this as I played him. Highest I can get with a 4k is Brutal.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Even if he was good this would happen.

His power doesn't give anything to chase. You have to deliberately play worse on a killer that already isn't the best.

Leave it for later. He really needs perks right now to make work

His blades don't count as downs nor do they count as chase enders for some reason. I used nothing but knives and got 0 Malicious or Chaser.

  • Play Huntress and feel good. Don't bother with him.

  • If the Entity wants you to live, I have no say in the matter - Lupin The 3rd. If you Kobe, you live. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Weird. I wonder how on earth that happened between PTB and Live.

Welcome to DBD. That's all I can say XD

  • Give me full hooks (bbq stacks) plus max categories and you can end the match whenever you feel like it :D

  • Its easy to bully him because as a survivor, YOU KNOW you can EASILY beat him. That's why. In a game where its YOU vs. THEM, a weakness is still a weakness. Does the killer treat you nicely if they're starting to lose and no one is dead? No, they'll tunnel you out of the game because that's the best way to win. Same with Survivors. You give them an easy target and they'll ######### on them. Welcome to DBD :D

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

I just got the most egregious hit through a pallet I've ever seen, so maybe.

Dropped the pallet before the lunge animation even started, he slid across the whole thing playing the whole animation and I still got hit.

If a killer swings at all before the pallet drops, they don't get stunned and have a chance of hitting you because the pallet doesn't apply the stun and just moves the killer. Sometimes the killer gets pushed closer to you (you get hit) before it pushes them away from the pallet. The pallet stun stops the cone of hit detection from working for a set time. Without it, you might get wacked still. Hope that helps.

  • Just make the tall objects in the game even taller :D

  • Increase the killers speed by default and I'll be alright with that.

  • Give me the sound of her location ever 2.5 seconds like with the bug a month or 2 ago before they fixed it. You had an actual chance to mindgame her then.

  • Give him a faster pallet break animation in Tier 3 and let him stalk multiple survivors like he use too with a slightly faster movement speed (Tier 1 Bloodlust in Tier 3) and he'll be scary as ######### lol.

See thay sounds like a big problem which would also be easily solved by simply not having it take effect while in a chase. Much like mending yourself only becomes necessary when not being chased. Easy fix. Also for the guy posting about it being in the rules with all caps because he was very serious. I was referring to how they want to discourage the practice not ban it. So I am spelling out a way that it can be done without the issues of ds because ds was made to limit camping and tunneling but it was bad because it didn't directly address the problem and was/is abused

My point was about how they could discourage camping and tunneling without causing extra problems if that's what they wanted to do. Which it seems to be because of perks like ds and the emblems sort of publishing the killer a little

My point is, they have tried many different ways. Never worked. IF someone wants to make love to your face with their weapon, they will. Swivel hooks, invincibility frames while being unhooked, and even a hook time stop plus a perk was all added but nothing worked. Even get a bloodpoint penalty. It will never change. Sometimes, its the best option for the killer. Also, the hook time stop was based upon a radius. Letting people get free unhooks is also not healthy for the game but ruining the killers' game by making the timer never stop is even worse. Sometimes you have to get rid of someone to have any type of pressure. I don't really mind it because its just a game and I rarely get caught :D

  • @wxnickxw said:

I keep seeing posts here and elsewhere complaining about the ds change and how it doesn't stop tunneling followed immediately by killer mains complaining that it didn't stop tunneling it was just used unfairly or toxicly. Here's what I can't figure out if they really want to address tunneling or camping why not target the part of the game that everyone hates, killers sitting by the hook waiting to get the guy again. Simply target that action directly. Either by something simple like the survivor hook time not going down when the killer is close or going down slowly to punish camping, or a perk that let's you mess with the killer when your on the hook again the punish the bad play directly

Fun Fact: This was tested awhile back on the PTB and survivors abused the hell out of it by looping the killer near the hook so the timer never went down and the other 2 survivors pounded gens. There you go :D (Edit: Also, Camaradie pauses the struggle state for survivor when you go near them for like 20-30 seconds. Can't remember which so that was also added as a way to stop the camping as a perk)

  • Give me 3x the Bloodpoints for the year or I riot!!

I've had this issue as well, but not just for Bubba; also for Huntress pulling up a hatchet etc...

So far I've had it occurring a few times on the main building corner of Cowshed, but I can't be sure if it's specific to this map/tile, or if it's just a coincidence. It's quite uncommon for me so I don't have a clue what's causing it.

I've seen it on the Game map and the Swamp map where the big boat is.

I didn't say only. I said that screwing around with pallets and looping should not be Tactic #1, and if a player wants to play with that mindset they have no room to complain when a Killer that is very good at shutting that down does exactly that.

Do you know why they lightened Claudette's skin? It was because she was too hard to see on the dark maps. If #1 was to hide, they wouldn't have cared. No one wants a shadow in the game when its already a pain in the ass to see. If you're still hiding, all you're doing is hurting your team by giving them the brunt of the hooks without ever doing much of anything. I prefer to actually do what I can to survive when I'm actually doing the objective. I don't go out of my way to shake my ass at the killer. I get seen on a gen and I can't evade every single one at Rank 1 but I won't sit there in a bush for 2 minutes while my teammates are getting blasted because I don't want to be seen. The amount of games that I've lost due to survivors being too scared to move away from any type of bush is a ton and plenty of videos of it. Same reason people see a survivor Urban Evasion and just DC now. No one wants to deal with that. Pallets were created for distance. Use what you need or die. Also, you ignored my point. I said, Gunslinger doesn't give you a CHANCE to LEAVE a pallet without getting a hit. THAT'S my problem with him. He's oppressive. When he's on you, it's almost impossible to get him off of you. With Huntress, you make her miss enough and she leaves.

  • Give me 3x the bloodpoints and I would play Killer all the TIME XD

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075796#Comment_2075796

I read it. I just don't feel sympathy for people that want to engage the Killer and then get rekt because that Killer happens to be proficient at ruining loops, particularly pallets. I don't particularly enjoy having to kick 17 pallets per match so I run Killers where if I get a pallet slammed in my face I'm going to punish the Survivor for doing so.

This idea that pallets are somehow the first line of defense for Survivors needs to go.

Lol that way of thinking is really flawed. Someone WILL get caught and if you think pallets are not meant for defense or to prolong a chase, I'd hate to see you just run in the open without doing anything. To think, you want all survivors to never get caught, basically and never use anything but running as a way to survive. It's called, "Mindgaming" and range attacks with CROSS HAIRS ignore that aspect. This game would have tanked a long time ago if your only defense was to run and hide XD That's why Hide Or Die died so fast. Oh, I owned that game, too. Was terrible when you tried to hide with no real defense. Whoever became killer first usually slaughtered the rest before anything was done.

I Fixate so I don't HAVE to get away from a loop. That is the point. All these posts and threads I see that cry about camping, or killers ruining loops, or tunneling sound to me like "What am I supposed to do after I wreck my car?" and my response is: don't wreck your car.

A pound of prevention is worth an ounce of cure.

I guess everyone should blendette the entire match. Also, you don't have to wreck your car. Someone ELSE could do that for you and you're still boned. Also, I defend camping and tunneling. It's a valid strategy and I gave reasons why instead of just screaming and hollering. I think you really should see what you just said.

  • His points where valid and he showed WHY it was unfair. He's got my vote. I was with the J-Flick for awhile there because no one would explain WHY it was so bad but instead, needs to be removed because they said so. That's not a good way of trying to get something fixed. His diagram puts it in a nice little bow and makes it very easy to understand. Fair enough.

1 … 27 28 29 30 31 … 46
