  • Are you not part of the LGBT community? I thought I saw you post something awhile ago about having a bf or I might be mistaking you for someone else. If I am, I apologize.

  • Do what I did. Nod at survivors and swing at your corrupt. Let them do most of the gens and then hit 2 people with it. Once they realize you won't kill them, they'll usually let you do it. I did it first try and let everyone go because that's all I wanted.

  • Dead Hard isn't an issue. DH rewards a survivor for timing it right. SB is better in almost every scenario. If gives mass distance from the start, making you lose chase AND then you have to chase them down to find that person again or lose that person and just lost all pressure. If you time it right, you can make a killer whiff for extra distance and it makes pretty much any place safe as long as you have it on. DH has a lot of weaknesses.

Server latency, if you're in a dead area then you are still dead, some killers who have instant down can ignore DH if they use it first unlike SB, you don't get any distance if you use it immediately when you land due to the new stutter you get from high falls, range attacks can still hit you if you don't curve, you can DH AWAY from a loop that is rounded, losing distance in the process, a killer can block you in place by getting in front of you before you use it, making it useless, you can wait it out to get a hit, if they use it at a pallet for 1 extra loop, they have to throw the pallet for an insta-break for less defenses later and my favorite, exhausted on the ground even if you did time it right. SB counters.. Hope you get close enough before SB breaks the hit and lets them get away for free at all times. SB is a much better perk.

Copy and pasted my response from another post. There you go.

You do realize that there's a cap to how much BPs you can have, right?

Yes and they can remove the cap like they do for special codes like they have in the past.

You should definitely screenshot those conversations and post them here (with appropriate censoring, of course; namely, by removing names).

I will from now on. Kind of bothered me a bit because I'm bi and my girl is bi but since I didn't say anything, I was the one who was at fault.

God damn it this is so annoying

I can't play a match with the stupid charm without everyone trying to farm with me. Like, farming is the most boring thing you could possibly do in this game. I just want to have a normal match for Christs sake!

I've had to stop wearing it, and dodge lobbies when people have it just to have fun games.

For the people who are doing this, I get that you're trying to be supportive, but no one is wearing this to farm. No one is wearing this as a free escape card. Just play normally!

Sorry about the angry post but this is frustrating.

People are afraid to chase people with the flag charm. I've had killers tell me they're too scared that they might be accused of harassment if they even go after someone with it on since they're afraid of being reported. Hell, I even had a killer who only killed me because I wasn't wearing the charm then got mocked by the survivors for being a "gay hater" and not supporting them. It is what it is.

  • Reduce the map sizes a little and add some structures to the center.

  • I love Lethal Pursuer. Just wish it had like 10 seconds of haste with it to get to people and start the chase quicker. Eruption is alright. Just needs its time tweaked a bit since its too long and his last perk isn't super great for the duration since it requires an M1 down to activate.

  • I wish they would block off certain areas because the map is just one giant cluster [BAD WORD] of areas. I can't even figure out how to get to a gen most of the time because the path I think is taking me to one splits off in the other direction and loops back around where I came from. It's super annoying.

It's super annoying.

  • Just give him a dash to quickly move around the map every 40-50 seconds but at the cost of a 2-3 second stun after stopping. That way he can pressure gens and he'd be perfect.

So I recently had a game that didn't go so well because I was trying to have a sweatless game with Trickster running haunted ground/undying. But because RNGesus hates my guts I got 4 Neas with flashlights who T-bagged throughout the entire game.

To most people, the usual refrain is to be the "better man" and just play normal, regardless of how much you want to bring in the stridor/NOED Spirit. But what does that achieve? They're still going to be toxic, and they're still going to be making profoundly un-fun games for other killers. The goal of this is to not perpetuate the problem, but is standing by and doing nothing going to stop the perpetuation of these problems?

Now, if you go ahead and pick up the tunneling stridor/NOED Spirit, sure, you become part of the problem, but counterintuitively, you may be helping to solve the problem. In the short run, people are going to get tilted and the toxicity is going to rise, but people can only be angry for so long before they tire out and seek a resolution. People will get sick and tired of sweating 24/7 and try to reach a mutual agreement. Even better, the rise in less-than-fun gameplay catches the eyes of the devs and they take action to stop the behavior.

And that's my defense of playing facecamping Bubba every Friday, thanks for listening. It's not fun for me or the survivors but damn, it's cathartic.

They are playing the game as intended. Using flashlights, disarms and looping for survive and escape. Teabagging shouldn't bother you that much. It's just a game. Toxic is thrown around too much. As long as they and yourself are continuing the objective of your side, it's just a normal game.

  • I've been saying this for awhile now. There is no GEN RUSH, just survivors who spawn all over the place on gens and totems.

  • Just depends on the group. If they did really good, I'll let them have hatch. If they didn't do good and gens are still left, I'll slug since they didn't earn a free escape. That's just how I play. If you 4%, I'll always give hatch or an escape no matter how they acted. If the Entity wants you to live, I have no say in the matter.

So is it just me, or is anybody else noticing that Nemesis doesn't appear to have a grab (interrupt) animation? In practice matches, I tried tapping my basic attack to grab someone off a gen, and he just punches them. He doesn't appear to have a grab animation. Am I insane, or can anyone else confirm this? I don't believe I'm doing it wrong.

I don't think I ever got a chance to grab anyone off of anything as Nemesis so you might be right.

  • Meg because SB and Adrenaline were too nutty for me not to use. Once I found out Claudette could heal herself, I started playing as her instead.

  • They need to change the perks to Tier 3 always or give us a helluva lot more BPs for the year. The grind is becoming unbearable.

  • What I always say is, if they need to get the hatch to escape, its a win. If only one gets through the door, it's a win. I don't really see the issue here. You did well enough. Also, my rule of thumb about kobe's is, if a survivor gets the 4%, I let them live and give them the hatch. If the Entity wants you to survive, I have no say in the matter. I don't care if that survivor teabagged me and flashlighted me all game. If the Entity wants something, they will get it.

  • Self-Care has saved my ass so many times at Rank 1 Survivor that I cannot even count it anymore. The amount of times I go to self-care so I'm not a detriment to my team who are doing gens and I don't have to waste time trying to find a medkit is much more beneficiary as a whole. What do you do if no one has self-care, everyone is hurt and someone is being chased? Wander around the map, hoping you see a survivor to heal you and the killer doesn't spot you on the way? What about the time you take away from gens while trying to find someone?

Everyone likes to say that self-care is selfish but it's the most efficient way to not ######### your team over and waste time. If I have to run a perk that requires me to run around to find and break a totem, run around to find a locker THEN stay in that locker for a few seconds compared to me just standing behind a wall or a pallet and just start healing myself, I'd rather just heal myself. Don't forget the other argument is medkits.

Okay, you might get Franklin Demised on, it only has 1-4 heals depending on the quality of the medkit and add-ons AND if you don't bring one in with you, you still have to wander around injured, spend time opening a chest then heal and hope the killer doesn't find you all in that time while you COULD be just self-caring yourself to healthy. Self-Care is the most UNSELFISH healing perk in this game and the best perk to use as a team.

    @Erukani

  • I play survivor when I really just want to dominate someone. I play killer when I just want to chill since I don't have to worry about others screwing me over. I don't take the match as serious unless someone clicks a flashlight at me multiple times. If they WANT my attention then they will GET my attention very quickly. I don't know why but something about playing killer and someone challenging you makes your brain switch to destroy them mode XD Otherwise, I play duck, duck, goose with Ghostface and Pig. Other times, I'll moonwalk as Myers after a hook while looking down until I'm sure that I'm behind something then walk away.

Other times, I'll down someone and if its their last hook, I'll nod quickly then move left then right multiple times then stare. If they shake their body then I'll take it as a no, I don't want to be hooked and I'll let them get up from other survivors and won't go after them the rest of the match. If they don't move after 10 seconds, I'll hook them. Just depends on my mood.

If I'm doing a challenge that I think is a bit hard or annoying, I'll actually try really hard or if I'm doing a tutorial video as killer for other killers who want to learn how to play that killer better, I'll do my best to dominate. It's just a 50/50 chance of what could happen. When I'm Rank 1, I just 2 hook everyone for a brutal and max my categories by slugging at least 1 person down. Once everyone is 2 hooked, I just wander around for random chases to help them pip and walk into pallets on purpose.

As a survivor, I usually always try my best to win but I'm very aggressive with DH and will do whatever I can to safely rescue someone or prevent someone from dying on hook. I just find it much more enjoyable to be in chases as both killer and survivor. So I guess you could say the reason I play survivor is because I know my loops well and I enjoy watching the killer struggle to catch me as gens are popping since they won't break chase. Gives me an adrenaline rush to see how much time I can waste. I don't like throwing pallets down unless I need to lose bloodlust. I skip a pallet and break a pallet. I use T/L walls as much as possible as soon as I see them to save pallets on the map.

I just really enjoy being the teammate that saves everyones' ass, which usually ends up with me being the basement, camped or on a random hook with the killer about 3-4 steps, nodding at me. Just really fun, in my opinion. I've met some good killers on this game who were very impressed by my survivor skills. For reference, I don't teabag unless someone needs a break in a chase and I need to get the killers' attention but if I'm in a chase, I don't teabag unless they start to ignore me again. I got so many pics of me being camped on Steam, it's not even funny lol. Usually all with 1 hook state and 1 gen left to go. I don't know. I just really love this game and how different each side can be. With RNG, it's never a dull moment.

Oh, my favorite moments when I was playing with my friends who does Twitch, before Leatherfaces' Tantrum, I would run down into the basement and circle around the hook and try to force him to tantrum into the pole so at the end, I could get a safe rescue then jump into a locker multiple times until I could safely run up the stairs with enough time to get through the window. Those saves were LEGENDARY. Now he's different but I'll still poke the bear to see if I can get him to rev enough to tantrum for a rescue attempt. My motto is to NEVER back down in the face of danger if your teammate is on the line and there is a chance to get you. Except Hag. Hag can eat my butt. If it's Hag and you're in the basement without me having a flashlight and she's circling around like a drug addict, I'm cool on that XD

Final Note: When I do play killer and I see someone going for an unhook, I just let them have it. I hate it when a survivor won't rescue me because the killer is nearby so I always make sure to back up pretty far to let them safely unhook. I also use BBQ and head near a gen if I see a survivor aura around it, whether or not I see someone going for the unhook. It's just my personal preference. I try to make sure everyone has a good match and getting straight camped on first hook or immediately tunneled just doesn't seem fair or fun to me. I support camping and tunneling but doing it on first hook is just stupid. Don't do it. Just get help. Let everyone have a good match.

I kept thinking of a zombie addon, like the depleted ink ribbon, but i thought it was relying more on slow zombies hurting survivors instead of my own ability

It's really funny to watch lol. They don't move much faster but that sudden quickening throws people off lol.

  • I prefer the faster zombies and the longer detection range for me. It's pretty funny to watch a zombie just slap the ######### out of someone when they loop the shack too many times XD It's like the zombie is saying, NO! NO MORE! XD

When he hit survivor with tentacle behind pallet, i think pallet also have to go with hit. Like Demo. I think that little change will be good, what are you thinking? Ofcourse for that he have to be min Tier-2

Demo doesn't break pallets with his dash if he hits the survivor. Tentacles go over the pallet and hit survivors like hatchets plus if you use Tier 2 to break a pallet, it is much faster than manually breaking it since its a second faster and you can move a little instead of being stuck in an animation lock. It's like a baby Brutal Strength. He's pretty nutty once you get good with his tentacles.

  • It does both. It does 6% of damage to all gens kicked plus regresses them automatically.

  • The flashbangs have a hefty requirement to even receive one and its only a firecracker but changed to look like a flashbang. A survivor cannot throw it. They just drop like firecrackers and hiss just like one also.

  • @Zixology said:

Killers can't break them. They're based on dull totems that survivors are near

I realize that but I don't see why you would be able to keep a totem that actively buffs survivors in the match to stay as killer without some medium to remove it. I said that I want to see, not that I know they can. It would just be funny to watch if that is a possibility when they're implemented. I also know they have penalties for the buffs but they probably won't be that big.

  • I would be so pissed lol. Every year, it should go up by 100%. The more years, the bigger with the celebration!

It just hit me what the cursed condition of soul guard was meant to do: nobody likes losing their hexes, and therefore losing a perk slot for the rest of the game, so they added soul guard to give survivors a reason not to cleanse hexes, and let killers keep their hexes until it became absolutely necessary to get rid of the hex. The infinite self-recoveries is meant to be a benefit the survivor gets from having the hex up, so that they have a vested interest in the hex staying up as well.

But the issue is the totem is gonna go anyways because 1) that greedy Nancy just wants to get inner strength up, 2) Dwight the capitalist just wants some points, and 3) picking yourself up from a slugging situation isn't all-too common, and even if you're going against a slugfest, it's probably not going to be worth staying cursed. If there's a devour hope totem, no amount of picking yourself up when slugged is going to unmori you. So then even if you have soul guard, you're going to cleanse the totem, and it doesn't achieve much.

Its a cost for having infinite revives with 8 seconds of protection. Its a cost/reward just like hexes. You leave theirs up, you get a big reward, you take theirs away, and both get punished.

  • Killers require a bit more micromanaging on the survivor's plus gens that they need to protect. As you get up higher, survivor's become smarter and waste less resources over time. You have to know your tiles, remember what areas had their pallets broken, which side to cut off a survivor before they get to a window vault and so on.

Survivors also require a bit of knowledge but they just have to stay alive as long as possible while trying to not run into their teammates. At Rank 1-3, a killer should know the best way to handle most situations but time is always against them. They WILL get a survivor but they lose the match if they're not skilled enough or know when to break off of a bad chase.

  • As long as people are still near my skill level. Thats it. I don't want people who stand in the middle of no where thinking they're safe. I want to feel good about winning, not upset by it.

  • The new autoban feature that was mentioned has a lot of killers worried, is why.

  • @Orion Just wanted to clarify that if it just auto-bans racial slurs or slurs towards sex, I'm on board. Also, I really enjoy your conversations. I don't always give input because you usually say what I was going to say in almost every post lol. Keep up the amazing discussions and thank you for worrying about my concerns. It's honestly refreshing.

  • Survivors will have "boon" totems XD I want to see a killer smash one and ask a survivor how it feels xD

You're anticipating getting banned for killing survivors? As the killer? So killers are going to be obliged to leave any survivors alone who have a charm?

You usually live up to your username more.

No. I don't have faith in behavior to filter out real issues and just massive witch parties.

  • @Orion said:

That's why we need to voice our opposition to an autoban system. However, such a thing is in the future, and won't come before the charm. Therefore, for now, there's no reason to be worried about false reports.

Indeed. Ever since the autoban got announced, I've been just playing killer before it gets released due this community and the ability to mass report each match just because of a lost even though I avoid hooked survivor's and try to be chill, there will group's who get a kick out of ruining someone's day. You know damn well they'll release the new system either way.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2219619#Comment_2219619

Why are you worried about false accusations? I've killed plenty of survivors, but I've never been accused of racism, homophobia, or anything like that. Even if I had been, I'd know that was a false accusation, which would be irrelevant.

With that new autoban system and the charms plus x4 survivors dying will be an unsafe time for killer. Specially if they have the pride charms every game then start reporting for griefing over a charm.

Keys are broken, but sometimes keys are used fairly.

All they need to do is make it so key only works for survivor holding. SWF needs all gens complete currently, change it to gates open or the single person escapes mechanic. Then for 2 players make it so last-gen needs to be popped but gates can be closed. Basically, extend the length of time or the milestone in-game for keys to be used.

Keys are broken because they take a game in which survivors would have lost and gives them a victory, but they are sometimes the only chance survivors have. It is not fun playing survivor and knowing you're dead regardless of what you do. It's kinda similar to when the killer couldn't close hatch so they'd stand on it...or when they camp....sometimes it's the only option. It is broken sometimes not all the time...

    Fair point.

And what's wrong with them respecting pallets? I mean, they'll no longer try to get a cheeky hit through a pallet so that seems pretty nice. It also means that they're no longer able to make use of Enduring or Spirit Fury

Latency will still get you hit through pallets and by then, what's the point of SH if you get a SB for free from the initial hit. It still exhausts you for the effort but the same distance for the hit. That's my point.
