5 cakes in place, survivors split up on gens and finish their objective in 5 minutes by barely even winning on chases if you even dare to try and be nice as a killer.
How about no. Work for your unhooks. The killer has the choice to be strategic with their hook placement so they can patrol an area, and you don't get a reset for free just because you got downed and hooked.
Way I see it, I get someone out of the game early, guarantee the game doesn't end instantly because generators are bullshit, and then the killer and the other remaining survivors can earn themselves some points.
How does them winning chases mean your being nice? Sounds like you're saying that since you normally lose you will then play like a jerk because why not. God forbid you just learn how to be a better killer.
This is a lame move when you end up getting the same or LESS points you would've gotten had you just played the game normally anyways. Also ######### is wrong with any killer who loads into a lobby and sees FIVE CAKES and is then like oh man I really want that 4k. You're GUARANTEED massive points and you're hung up on a meaningless kill? What?

Claimed what was not true? Voice comms ruining the premise of the game?
They fibbed:
- Why are there aura reading perks, if voice comms was always meant to exist?
- Why were the hooks changed 'because they gave away who the Killer was', when voice comms do just that the second ONE player sees them?
- Hex perks, when you add voice comms, are borderline garbage, because 1 person sees a glowing bones, and the whole SWF knows it.
- Stealth Killers are basically jokes because one teammate can tell everyone where they are, if/when they see them.
- Why don't they add voice comms? And why did they not start with voice comms, if voice comms were meant to be a thing?
- Insidious would not exist, if they had voice comms in mind; why would they create a perk about standing still & ambushing people, when a hooked Survivor will just tell their friends that the Killer is 5 feet away?
As for voice comms not being all that powerful; another fib. As much as I love this game, they have been known to double down on 'We did <x> and we NEVER make mistakes'.
It took nearly 5 years to change the Struggle Mechanic, when people were complaining about pain from year one. And the reply at one of the livestreams to the question of the Struggle Mechanic...last year, I think it was? 'Well, we invented this, so it's not changing'. They just refuse to admit mistakes until years after the fact.
SWF is one of those mistakes. They had no idea it would upset game balance so much, so they continue to develop the game as if people don't use SWF, then stubbornly claim SWF does not work as well as it does to cover their mistake.
- because seeing an aura is obviously better then having someone try to TELL you where someone is.
- Because there is a difference between INSTANTLY knowing the killer and someone having to tell the team after seeing them?
- obvious reasons
- They eventually will and because people play in SWF.
- Coms doesn't mean there isn't a second where the killers location isnt known.
Ever consider they won't touch SWF because of how garbage and random trying to play solo is? Mainly due to some lame killer trying to one hook somebody with 525% bonus points in the match.

Rofl. The game is meant to revolve around lack of communication and the bad plays it can create.
Hence why so many Killers hate SWF; the verbal communication replaces EVERY AURA READING PERK and renders many Killers into jokes, because the game was not designed for voice comms.
But yet another way Survivors are demanding the game be changed to hold their hands, because you don't approve of camping, and Killers aren't allowed to do anything the Survivor Overlords disapprove of! 😂
You know the devs themselves put that to rest and claimed it wasn't true.
Then the irony is these killers have SWF so much then go and encourage people to play SWF.

Is there some type of boycott DBD loser meme thing going on or something? Usually complaints about camping and tunneling are exageratted and not too bad. But during this event? I have NEVER played such a scumbag killer as I have during this. It's like they're trying to be jerks too. Camping with 5 cakes in the match like #########.

Want camping to stop? Pretty easy. Make the survivor objectives take longer by adding MANDATORY secondary objectives. Then killers wont feel the need to camp 🤷♂️
(Well a couple of psychos might, most wont)
Right, that will stop people who camp with no gens done.

Stop going for unsafe unhooks where the Killer can grab you.
I really don't get this whole thing where Survivors make bad plays, get punished, and then blame the Killer & demand changes be made so they can make safe bad plays.
Its not a "bad play" to risk going down to save your teammate who has zero possibility of getting away in that situation.
Camping is a "bad play" and the only reason it can work is because of the lack of communication.
Ok lets put in mics in every match by default. See how camping trash likes that.

I learned the hard way f a few days ago and coming with a nerf to Bubba's camping capabilities. It was a pretty good nerf since I just connected two and two together and did not touch his 1v1 potential at all.....Apparently, he doesn't need nerf in that regard...
Apparently, Bubba's a mediocre killer....?
They've slowly made nerfs to camping over the years. I say go in for the curb stomp. It will also remove a huge portion of toxic trash people from this community who just want to annoy people.

@[Deleted User] said:
I know this move will hurt people who don't even camp but oh well.
Teleporting hooks? Hurting people that don't camp? Never.
Being able to reposition someone across the map by sitting next to them for a second would be insanely killer sided. The only reason it isn't a problem on the one killer that can do it (Pyramid Head) is because cages send them across the map in the first place (and you can't see where they went, even if you have a general idea).
Then delete Steves perk and make the hook timer pause forever if the killer is within 40 meters of the hook. Then speed up gen times by 10% if the killer is still in that radius. Do something. I'm tired of experiencing these types of situations.
Camping completely craps on groups of solos and thats it. IDK why the Kindered idea didn't get implemented even though it was discussed YEARS ago.
All solos should automatically have that perk.

Rather unfortunately the server-sided hit validation doesn't seem to have worked ever so as survivor your game experience is still determined by the killer's connection.
Even with that I don't get it. Unless 100% of killers use trash connections. Like I NEVER....EVER play against a killer who when it appears it misses me...ACTUALLY misses me. I sitll take the hit every time. Which makes me wonder WTH does it look like to these people who manage to make me swing at a pallet they faked vaulting over?
-
Now that I switched to killer. Problems again....10 minute wait so far nothing.

Yep. Had to force restart the game four times now. Haven't been able to successfully enter a match the last three times I queued; I ended up in the shadow realm each time after about 5 minutes. Can't tell what triggers it, but when the option switches from 'cancel' to 'unready', there is nothing else you can do but bring up Task Manager and force close the game.
I managed to play some games earlier, but now I'm losing hope.
Exactly this. I waited 10 minutes like this and finally got one.
Now here I got another in 2 minutes. HOPEFULLY its them doing something to the servers or something.
-
I think the servers are overloaded.
-
Matchmaking is literally not working at all for me right now. Killer or survivor. I wait forever then get an error and can't efven retry it. I have to EXIT the game entirely.

You're telling me that 90% of the times survivors escape from you ISN'T when you're chasing them towards the gate as they or a teammate opens it and they just barely escape?
Usually the hatch. If that happens it was probably a terrible match and the whole team is running out of the gate.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
“He always had some terrible add ons and why didn't those get addressed? The add ons that involve skill checks are completely pointless as NOBODY fails skill checks on purpose to wake up anymore. Those might as well be deleted.”
They do when Freddy is using Dream Pallets. Survivors want to be absolutely sure if Freddy comes over to a gen that they’re not running to fake pallets.
Huh? Fail skill checks when using dream pallets? I've never come across a team that does that.
Odds are if they're bothering to check the pallets they're noobs when I play them. Its a total waste to eliminate a pallet and tell your location JUST to see if Freddy has that power.. Just keeping track of general areas makes guessing really simple for them. Combined with them just blazing through gens early so that it can never be that much of an issue later.

On that first bit, we disagree. OG Freddy was never a joke, and I speak from experience.
But I don't doubt his next changes, if he even gets them, will not be for the best.
That timer was just far too much though. That made him so bullyable to good survivors.
-
@Seraphor said:
His Iri is actually much better than Blood Warden.
Survivor teams plan for Blood Warden, they don't open the exit gate if there's someone about to go down or get hooked. And you have to have some very precise timing to pull it off, you need to down and hook someone after gates are opened, but before everyone escapes. 9/10 times that's not something that happens. Survivors 99 the exit gates and then open them when everyone is safely within range.
With his Iri, it doesn't matter when they open the exit gates. If they 99 them, then open them as they're being chased but still entirely safe because they're at full health or they have Dead Hard or some-such... they're screwed, they will hit the wall of black barbs when they thought they could safely teabag you at the finish line, and you have 15 entire seconds to down them.
Better yet, you now have someone downed, and hooked... after the gates have been opened. So if you're running Blood Warden too, It basically runs it for you.
As for the other Iri. Starting the trial in the dream world isn't something to sniff at, the 'no wakey on breaky' part is just a small bonus.
Dream Pallets however... I'm with you entirely. They were never his most powerful tool, so they didn't need to be nerfed as much as they were. Dream Pallets don't give you any freedom on shutting down loops, and they're entirely within the survivors control. All they need to do is remember which pallets have been used. Just don't use them, Snares all the way.
I mean, I could SEE it being part of a build specifically for Blood Warden purposes but other than that I think its pure crap. It basically means you MIGHT get 1 person killed at the exit gate if something very specific happens. Hell, 15 seconds is so short Id wager there are clips out there of a healthy team all going out the gate and having enough time with body blocks to end up all making it out.
The other one is just usch a small bonus overall. It would be like if Doctor had an add on to instantly have 1 survivor start the match in madness 3 or something.

A sad ending to the one who was once the most fun and unique killer in the game.
Right from the start, I called this too. This won't be the end too they will further nerf his snares. With as much of a joke as the original Freddy was. There was no way they would heavily nerf the NEW Freddy right away. It would make them look bad. So they would wait and slowly give him more and more nerfs like they have. While addressing none of the things that didn't involve nerfs. Like the trash skill check add ons. Ironically the nerf has given him even more add on issues. Some of them are just so pointless now.
-
@GeneralV said:
Precisely. This is pretty much what I've been saying ever since he got nerfed. Those changes were bad, and failed to address his actual issues.
Yeah I've actually gotten bullied trying to use his pallets today. They're absolute trash. What good are fake pallets whehn survivors know to just gen rush me? The fake pallets don't ever come into play. The match isn't long enouhg for it to matter.
They need to take back the stupid limit because its POINTLESS. Then the actual effects need to be tweaked as well.
Like them being hindered if they use the pallets. Or instead of seeing the aura if they drop it I see the aura if they're AROUND it.
The nerf also made the whole "must be asleep" thing really pointless too. His power is hardly a big deal ESPECIALLY the pallets to where they needed some secondary condition on it. Like imagine Trapper or Hag needing to hit someone first or waiting a certain amount of time before their traps could be used. That is Freddy now....

As a console player, it would be nice to have a play as Nurse or Blight instead of getting rinsed in a ranked match.
Precisely. As someone who is always in ranks 1-10 and also on console. Trying to play those 2 killers is a PURELY frustrating zero fun experience. Then when the survivors see that you suck. They almost always stop playing normally anyways and just try to annoy you. To practice on bots would be amazing.
-
@Aneurysm said:
I hope they're planning to expand on it, these isn't that much to practice with perkless addonless trapper.
Also if the bot difficulty could be increased. They don't have to program them to be god loopers, just gen obsessed
Given this being the first installemtn we got. I was SHOCKED at how good the survivor AI was. They could actually run loops and weren't nearly as trash as I expected.
I would LOVE to play as killer who I suck as and get to the point where I DOMINATE the bots with them and then I at least have some muscle memory to use and it wasn't earned in matches wehre I was being bullied the whole time.

There are just diminishing results due to how the math works in dbd.
Back in 2016 it was as simple as possible, with current perks you could probably heal self in just 2 or 3 seconds.

The auto ban system should be based not off a certain number of reports, but on a consistent weekly number of reports that show bad behavior. That way, if you have a bad opponent who abused the system, it will only show up as a random spike in the data analysis as opposed to a regular higher than average number of complaints.
That's literally the same thing. How could one person abuse the system anyways?
The problem with this system is ANYBODY who plays killer consistently and is good and gets 4ks is going to be reported DAILY. Survivors will also be reported I just think not AS often.

Everyone keep posting about this until they scrap the idea. Because it IS the worst idea ever announced in the history of DBD.

It actually depends on how well you play like for killer and survivor like patrolling generators, finding survivors, Sacrificing survivors, having successful chases with killer, doing generators, escaping a chase, opening gates and escaping, helping survivors, finding items in chests, and cleansing totems (the last one is optional but if you see a hex totem cleanse it). But just don't cleanse the totem if you see the Spirit or the Deathslinger, those are the tips that I can give you.

Killers have lot's of perks that slow Generators down: Oppression, Overcharge, Surge, Ruin(Ruin is like the Dance with Me of this comparison in that when it works it works well but rarely does,) Thrilling Tremors etc. Yet, what do they all have in common? Well, they all ######### suck so killers use Pop & Corrupt instead. This is the same exact thing.
Literally not even the slightest bit comparable but okay. Every good killer gen slowdown perk has been nerfed. And they make sure they don't mesh well together with any other slowdown perks. Oppression and Overcharge are terrible. Surge is ignorable. Corrupt is entirely counterable with patience and only hurts inpatient survivors. 3 gens can be finished in one chase. POP is barely unbeatable.
LB literally will also buff an already top tier perk like Iron Will. QQ will now be as good as Iron Will USED to be. Take a hit with LB, IW, QQ and run into a jungle gym. Absolute potato if you don't lose the killer. There is literally NOTHING the killer can do to know what you did.....
This is just INSANE that survivors will only need to use HALF of their loadout to hide 100% of their normal tracking when injured. This could be a problem if it required 4 perks to accomplish...but just TWO slots? Jesus.....
